My first time with the Luxor series. It's a simple but riveting puzzle-shooter. Great for short gaming sessions. The only thing I did not expect on the first playthrough was that you can't just go back to where to died if you quit. You either have to select Continue or start a new run.
Really great spin off, like a Judgment to like a dragon series. Very solid gameplay wise, nice visuals though I enjoy original Luxor 1 / AR more, but it's definetly way better than Luxor 4-5 by visuals.

Геймплей простой, но захватывает с головой, и бросить игру до её полного прохождения не так просто. В Luxor Evolved всё как обычно, но стиль отличается от обычных "Люксоров" - блестящее ретро. С ̶б̶л̶э̶к̶д̶ж̶е̶к̶о̶м̶ ̶и̶ бонусами и боссами, как мы любим. Ничего нового, но всё так же интересно.

Fun, engaging and challenging. I don't like the lack of post game content though. Luxor 3 had a puzzle mode, free play & endless levels. Even with Evolved's lack of post game content, I did find it fun.

A wild and strange departure from the aesthetic of the previous games, but that doesn't make it any less fun. If anything, disregarding my nostalgia for the older entries, I love this one the most in the whole series, it's super fast-paced and really keeps the ADHD attention span engaged, and the slew of new powerups is tons of fun to play with!
My only advice would be to use a mouse to play, not a laptop touchpad or touchscreen. A touchpad doesn't let you react fast enough, and a touchscreen fires before moving.
This is the most enjoyable and interesting title out of the entire Luxor series. I still wouldn't recommend it at full price though.

O jogo te retorna muito rápido tanto quando você acerta como quando erra, o que o torna super viciante. Além disso, quanto mais perto as bolinhas chegam da base, mas forte fica a música, adicionando um elemento de tensão a um jogo simples. E foi muito barato! Valeu cada centavo.

Is it the best Luxor game? No, that title still goes to Luxor 3. But Luxor Evolved is pretty cool. It remixes the classic Luxor gameplay in the same way that PAC-MAN Championship Edition changed things up for the traditional PAC-MAN formula. It's not as casual of a game, waves of spheres are constantly swarming the screen, and even when keeping up the pace, you'll constantly be in danger of losing if you slip up. The fundamental gameplay is strong, though I think this game would have benefited from a shorter cooldown in-between shots. That might be partially my fault, though, as I'm used to modding Luxor 3 to give the shooter a faster cooldown nowadays. I also would have liked if there was an indicator to tell you how close you are to finishing the level. I'm not even sure what the clear condition is, whether it's scoring enough points like Luxor 2, or eliminating enough waves of scarabs like Luxor 3.
Powerups are no longer determined by the color you match, but instead is random like Luxor 2. To compensate for this lack of strategy, there are a lot of powerups featured in this game, and you level them up at a pretty rapid rate, provided you score well on each level. These powerups can wind up really strong at their maximum level. Scorpion now shreds past scarabs instead of stopping at the first one no matter what. Lightning has a much bigger range compared to Luxor 3. Color Sort is still in the game, and feels better balanced due to the randomized system of powerups. Match Highlighter still exists... for some reason... But that's okay, there's even some new powerups. Poison is like the Orb of Decay from Sparkle, where the surrounding spheres on both side of the center sphere you hit perish. Freeze stops spheres in their tracks, and shooting the frozen bunch at all instantly shatters them. Missiles is a better version of the needle powerup... which is also in this game... But hey, two underwhelming powerups versus, what, 15-20 good ones? That's a good deal.
The level design is pretty good all-around, the boss fights are an interesting remix of Crossing the Nile, and the secret levels are really cool arcade game references; I didn't get all the references, but I enjoyed the references I did get. Outside of the bonus levels, though, the visuals are a double-edge sword... One one hand, I think it works well for what the game is going for. It's more intense, and having a simplistic neon aesthetic helps with everything remaining visually consistent. On the other hand, though, the fancy Egyptian visuals in Luxor 2 and 3 (and the later games, from what I've seen of them) were a big part of what made the levels and the games as a whole memorable. Comparing this game to PAC-MAN Championship Edition 2, that game did an abstract artstyle a lot better. PMCE2 felt more colorful and had some distinct areas despite being simplistic in its visual design. And the soundtrack... well, I couldn't really hear it over the constant barrage of sound effects, but from what little I remember, it was alright.
This is a very solid Luxor game overall, but unless I'm looking for a particularly intense experience, I think I'll stick with Luxor 3 as my go-to sphere-matching game. That being said, I would definitely recommend it to anyone who's a fan of sphere-matching games!

If you enjoy Arcade games; specifically grew up with them, or love rebooted classics like Tetris Effect or Pac-Man Championship DX+, you'll enjoy this game. It has Old arcade games such as Asteroids, Pac-Man, Centipede, Tempest and a couple of other games-themed as secret levels. It has adaptive audio and beautiful visuals. Its an adrenaline rush especially on elite difficulty. Some levels are really hard, especially the one that looks like a drawing of a small intestine called 'Nefetari Collar' ♥♥♥♥ THAT LEVEL
Its the only Luxor game on Steam that has achievements and cloud saves (Cloud saves are used for high scores and progress) You have the added benefit of resuming from where you left off.

The one downside is that you cannot pick a level and play it. You have to play it from start to finish just like old arcade games. Update: There is a level Select option, but it is done so by using a cheat. Press Pg Up & Pg Down in the options menu to unlock cheats and select the level select. The level select button will be available in the top right under the more menu :D
So easily overlooked and underrated. A nice match-3 game. On the other hand, features an insane pace, and a bit of a steep learning curve (it becomes harder the deeper you dig in).

マーブルポッパーのLUXORシリーズの最後の作品。従来はエジプトがモチーフだったところ、今作ではクラシックサイバーな雰囲気に一新されいる。見た目的には面白いけど、エフェクトが派手＆ゲーム画面とエフェクトが同じ線の強さで描画されるため、画面がごちゃごちゃで視認性は悪い。それも含めた味わいとして楽しむ感じ。
また、ゲーム速度も敵の攻撃の強さも従来作よりもかなりパワーアップしているので、難易度はシリーズのなかでも高く、操作はとても忙しくなる。手も足も出ないような難しさではないのでいきなり今作から始めてもいいとは思うけど、もしもう少し易しいものから始めたいなら、シリーズ４作目の「[url=store.steampowered.com/app/16040/Luxor_Quest_for_the_Afterlife/]Luxor: Quest for the Afterlife[/url]」とか、シリーズは違うけどおなじマーブルポッパーの「[url=store.steampowered.com/app/370550/Sparkle_2/]Sparkle 2[/url]」を先に遊ぶのもいいかもしれない。
逆に、既にマーブルポッパーのジャンルで遊んだことがあって、まだこのゲームに触れていないとしたら、それはとてももったいない。難易度が高くて挑戦しがいがあってとても面白いマーブルポッパーなので。
ちなみにプレイ時間が短いのは、もともとBig Fish Gamesで遊びこんでいて、Steamで買いなおしをしているため。
Very fast paced on higher difficulties, very fun. If you want a good tip, get more powerups by setting yourself up to make 3 matches back to back as much as possible. For score, really try to keep your shot streak going.
Zuma
This feels really good to play, it's the more dystinct of the series and I love it for that.
Luxor and Zuma are almost the same game. If you like one you'll like the other. Launch your colored sphere into similar colored spheres to make 3+ touch and they will get removed. Remove all the spheres and you win.

最差的luxor，光污染过于严重，不建议游玩，而且射击指向只显示单色，不如3代的双色指示（虽然1代甚至没有颜色指示纯纯靠眼睛去判断）

这款游戏可以说是奠定了我对霓虹光影、赛博朋克、trance音乐的热爱，导致我做ppt时会经常有意模仿这游戏的风格；细看的话画面的所有线条其实都是点和点相连接的“星座”感，对我这个天文爱好者来说更是加分项了。音乐也超赞，并且随着关卡的火热度有不同的调整，可以说是动态音乐的鼻祖之一了，我当年还直接解包了data.mjz然后把音乐自己整编了一下后放进MP3和手机，现在还在听。
玩法上是埃及祖玛系列中打击感和爽感最佳的一作，没有之一，甚至可以说你玩了本作后，回去玩埃及祖玛系列的其他作品都会觉得索然无味。首先本作在击中长串球后会有子弹时间（发动神力后可以经常利用这个来收集宝藏），而且连续命中球后会增加关卡火热度，音乐会变得更激昂，球速也会越快，但此时疯狂消除的爽感也就越高，再配上强力的Power up，很多时候能做到一键清屏的效果，还有每关第五小关经常出一大串同色的球，解压感max！
Power up升级也是本作玩点之一，之前埃及祖玛3和4里是商店花ANKH币升级的，现在基本和关卡进度挂钩了，不过不能多周目继承。1级火球和5级火球基本是两个东西，最高级的Color sort可以瞬间把全屏的球都按颜色排列整齐，smart bomb更是无脑强。虽然Power up的升级只对当前周目有效，但还是可以通过boss来刷，每次打掉boss的球串后任凭boss攻击即可，直到boss硬直，每大关的boss关我都能刷出大量的升级，顺便证明了①升级速度应该是和消灭球的数量挂钩的；②特定power up会锁定到特定关卡之后才可用（中期我经常面对所有当前可用升级已全部升完的情况）。所以要想刷全升级成就的话基本必须通过这个方法达成。
补票后发现界面和之前的学习版有了些微区别，不知道闪电链用后大概率导致准确连击中断的bug修了没有。
Remember when some people wanted a steampunk Zelda game? Maybe not, but a PuzzLoop clone with neon graphics is pretty cool too. It can get pretty difficult from what I remember.

This may well be the best sphere matcher you'll ever play, and this is speaking from a purely mechanical standpoint. The creators of Luxor Evolved made a multitude of small decisions that, together, ensure the experience is fun. To name just [i]some[/i] of the things they've done: [list]
[*]You are always given spheres that you can actually [i]use[/i]. You'll never get a color that is somewhere far off on the field and is blocked off by rows and rows of other spheres.
[*]The game is extremely fast-paced, but almost every clear will slow the game down for just a few moments to allow you to get more shots in. This encourages planning ahead at least somewhat, and keeps the pressure up without ever getting too overwhelming.
[*]The game is focused entirely on score-attack. Plenty of sphere matchers have a speedrunning element to them that they rely on greatly, but in an RNG-focused genre that makes little sense. Instead, there's tons of little ways to acquire extra points.
[*]There is a chain mechanic that goes beyond what you usually see. Normally, clearing multiple combinations of spheres in a row provides a bonus. Luxor Evolved also keeps track of how many shots you landed "correctly" -- that is to say, you don't necessarily have to consistently [i]clear[/i] combinations with every turn, but you have to at least work towards that goal, and if the sphere you placed does not contribute towards that you get penalized.
[*]There is a [i]ton[/i] of different power-ups and you get them very regularly, leading to pure destructive chaos on screen at all times. You also unlock more of them as you progress through the game, and existing ones become more powerful to accommodate the increasing difficulty towards the end.

Aesthetically, the game goes for a much more modern look (and music) than what you usually get from sphere matchers, which for some reason always seem to have an "ancient civilization" sort of focus. This is a refreshing change, though obviously a matter of preference.
Despite being 11 years old now, the game runs without any hint of an issue on modern systems, so have no concern over that. Some of the menus look a little "washed out" on current resolutions, but it stops being an issue the moment you get in the game due to the abstract art style scaling really well.

The resemblance of this game is uncannily similar to Zuma's Revenge. And for those who never heard about zuma's revenge, then you are probably haggling at the wrong place. Popping the same colored balls before the trail of balls breaches a pyramid is simply not your type. Continue with your witcher 3, god of war, spiderman, batman, Assassins creed :D
I've never played a Luxor game ever. I generally don't play many puzzle-y type games unless it's Zuma or Peggle. I'm not very good at them but I enjoy them.
I like Zuma but always hit a wall when the difficulty/speed/combinations gets too complicated because my brain is ♥♥♥♥.
This game though, is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome.
There's power ups, but then you can upgrade your power ups simply by playing more and more, which then unlocks new and better power ups the further you play. The lives system is great too. If you die, the game reverses all the balls back some and you get to continue instead of restarting the stage all over again. There's TONS of bonuses going on so it never felt like I was in over my head. There's also 4 difficulties too. I played on normal and beat the game in about 3 hours during two sittings. Achievements and controller support are another big plus.
Lazy to write a big review on it so i'll just make it short
It is a good Match 3 game with a good difficulty curse, a lot of power ups, secrets and bonuses. It is pretty casual and not too difficult to complete. However my only downside of it is achivement wise. There's no need to grind for anything because you can get everything easily. The Elite difficulty achievement doesn't matter how much you die because you'll always end up clearing thee levels (there's continues and doesn't affect the achievement) So even if you lose all your lifes you can continue the game and finish it. Other than that it's a game i recommend because i enjoyed it even if the replayability is pretty limited.

If you like Popcap's zuma deluxe or zuma's revenge then you'll definitely enjoy this one. The game lends itself well to this wireframe-like visual style, the visuals fit in well with the hectic style of the gameplay. I can definitely see this being my favourite game out of the Luxor series or out of this genre of games in General.
I'm even exusing the fact that it doesn't currently run on Linux when normally that would mean an instant no from me, it's that good!

А так — невероятно динамичный и бодрый геймплей (без ощущения нудности, как в некоторых прошлых частях) с очень качественной музыкой и анимациями. Ещё из отличительных черт — появились боссы, которых весьма себе увлекательно кромсать. Ну и, что особенно выделяет игру, — необычный ретро-неоновый стиль. А насколько же игра красочна? — ты как будто испытываешь яркий кислотный трип. Шедеврально.
Проходится игра очень быстро и лихо, но потому и не успевает надоесть — словно крутой ускоряющийся аттракцион. Сложность игры на среднем уровне, самое то для рядового казуала, но лично же мне как бывалому ветерану Зумы и всех Луксоров было весьма легко, пусть и весело. Прошёл игру сначала на высокой сложности и ни разу полностью не проиграл, а потом ещё и перепрошёл на открывшейся Insane сложности и там уже на последней стадии успел набить шишек. Это был увлекательный Luxor и один из лучших представителей жанра "[i]3 в ряд[/i]" в целом.
