This truly opened my eyes for the niche community of erotic horror games. This game is nothing special don't get me wrong, walking simulator, an Amensia wannabe at best, and has some hilariously bad glitches at times. The plot is nothing out of this world, things happening sometimes for no reason, and if it did, it would just be shut down the next second. There isn't a sense of storytelling, just things happening and the characters react disproportionately.
But i will say this game has a lot of charm, the world building is definitely there with Lust'ghaa, Cult of Ecstasy (not Scarlet Lodge unfortunately). It possesses an extrememly interesting concept that i think is very underrated. Dare I say, I personally enjoy this more than something like Eyes Wide Shut. The mixture of horror, psychological horror, lovecraftian horror, cosmic horror, the sick and twisted portrayal of lust in humans (like the Enthralled and Changed aliens) are very well done and something I truly have never seen before. This concoction was deliciously thrilling, intense, sensual, and entertaining.

The first one was more reminiscent of Amnesia and a simpler and darker version of this sequel, gameplay is non-existent, so im glad this sequal they did change that and incorprated more puzzles, mechanics, etc even if it is not entire flushed out.

I am disappointed that the third one is going to be made by a different studio with seemingly completely different characters and no foreseeable release date. I hope that they will still mention Victor, Mable, Amanda, Jonathan, etc or at the very least have them as easter eggs--if the game ever comes out that is.

일단 플레이를 해본 소감은 정상가로
구매를 하셔도 돈이 아깝지 않으실 거
에요! 다소 지도가 없어서 길 찾기가
매우 짜증 나지만.. 어쩔수가 없어요..
외우면서 플레이를 하는 수 밖에는..
그만큼 기괴하고 무서우며 많이 고어
이자 완전 19금 무삭제판 입니다.
물론 맨 처음 플레이 시작시 무삭제판
또는 모자이크 플레이중 택1 가능함.
비위가 많이 약하신분 이나 공포게임을
잘 못 하시는분들은 모자이크판 으로
플레이를 해보셔도 좋을듯 싶습니다.
저는 시간 가는줄 모르고 야무지게
플레이 하였고요! 개인적으로 명작
이라고 생각 됩니다. 세계관도 신선
했고요. 만약 지옥이 있다면 여기가
지옥 이겠구나 싶을 정도로 몰입함ㅋ

Bonjour, pour 6 balles vous pouvez foncer, c'est pas un Resident Evil 4 point de vue graphique mais ça reste honnête, l'histoire est bonne, la musique du jeu aussi et pareillement pour l'ambiance.
Les énigmes sont simple pour ceux qui réfléchissent et un peut complexe pour les autres (comme moi).

Les défauts :
Dommage que les personnages ne sont pas mieux modélisé mais faut pas non plus en demandée de trop pour ce prix et il y'a bien pire.
Pour les scènes de "débats", c'est un mélange de tout : dérangeante, violant, hard, extrême et cauchemardesque, c'est avant tout un jeu d'horreur, tout cela qui rappel un peu le SM parfois.

Les plus : Deux mondes parallèle assez bien réalisé, le monde "cauchemars" ressemble aux entrailles d'une personne avec des similitudes d'organes féminin et masculin, peut être un poil trop répétitif.
L'histoire est assez bien, la musique colle bien au jeu.

Les moins : IA des ennemies pas vraiment le point fort, heureusement que le nombre de coups reçu pour mourir est d'environ 3 coups, ce qui sauve les failles de l'IA.
Assez classique comme type de jeux, encore un peut plus d'originalités pour vraiment ce démarqué des autres jeux du même type (vue a la première personne).
Impossible de retourner sur un chapitre fini, la sauvegarde auto ce fait a la fin de chaque chapitre donc pas de sauvegarde non plus quand vous voulez stopper le jeu.

Conseil : jouer dans le noir tout seul avec des écouteurs.
Il y a un prologue gratuit et courte mais suffisant pour vous faire vous même une idée du jeu avant achat.
Ce prologue ce joue au clavier (le complet manette possible) qui pourra être configurer a votre façon. Attention : je suis rester bloquer plusieurs heures pour ouvrir la première porte (celle des toilette) a cause d'une touche clavier non utilisé (touche E) je passé par l'inventaire auquel je ne pouvais pas faire un clic sur utilisé (pour la clé de cette porte).

I like the idea of this game and the world but the controls for qte dont work for me and when i figured it out in the forums then got stuck on the essense controls and this made me quit. Common simple stuff just let us click and thats it. Now i will need to watch the game on yt. I spent most of my time trying to figure out whats wrong or am i doing something wrong, looking for fixs to the issues then playing this game and enjoying it.

This game is 100% the developers poorly hidden fetish cuz there is no other explanation for why you would want to make scorn but instead of being gorepunk its porn "punk" in he loosest way to understand the word 'punk', I'd say that, really, the only way to put the word punk in here is that you are getting punked by whoever gave this game a positive review. it also looks like ass (bad ass not pretty ass)..
I was "gifted" this game by a friend who then forced me to play it under the threat of making me play this again if I didn't (idk how this works but the threat worked now that I played it).
this is like if soma and amnesia and penumbra and scorn were related and had two kids and kept inbreeding until their incest baby had all the diseases

Вам стоило попробовать этот запах и изучить этот замок вместе со мной, если бы только и вас пригласили. Да-да, это относится к сюжету. Ибо по сюжету вам всё расскажут, только расскажут несколько непонятными словами. И ещё один момент! Если вас действительно возбуждает происходящее в игре (помимо рассматривания тех самых статуэток эротического характера) – вы психически больны и, возможно, опасны для окружающих. Так и запишите. Так что, господа слюновозы, вы пришли вообще не в то место! :D И вы все были предупреждены! Конечно, мне очень хочется посмотреть на очередного изнывающего от желания парня на последней стадии возбуждения, который пришёл сюда и думает, что тут для него сейчас откроются врата Эдема, и посмотреть на то, что будет, когда они действительно откроются… ;) Но я не буду рассказывать, что за этим последует, пусть для вас это будет сюрпризом!

Podsumowując wrażenia z rozgrywki: jestem rozczarowany,

Gra ma bardzo dużo pozytywów, ale coś zawiodło w wykonaniu, Jest bardzo ciekawa mitologia i tło historyczne, ale sama fabuła jest nierówna, z przewidywalnymi zwrotami akcji. Postacie mają niewykorzystany potencjał, jest z nimi za mało interakcji by nabrały głębi i można się było z nimi związać. Sekwencje "skradane" i walki są nieciekawe i nużące, gra zyskałaby na większym nacisku na aspekt "przygodowy" i rozwój historii. Wielki minus za brak możliwości do przejścia do konkretnych rozdziałów po przejściu gry.

Ok, So much to express here. but here me out.

The game is NOT what you expect.
This is for sure going to be tricky if its your first playthrough. Alot of the content they show can be misleading, However; that doesn't make it completely bad.
The CONTROLS are probably the most confusing if you are using controller, BUT for me it was also the PLOT & STORY of it all. The structure seems somewhat off "IN MY OPINION".
I feel like it would be hard for some first players to kinda piece things together for it to be understandable.
This feels more like an "Adult Erotic Foreplay Teaser" as the adult actions in game are very minimal & few n far between. Not as interactive as one would expect them to be.
Hoping that the 3rd installment will be an improvement with controls & story.

OVERALL- Fun, worth checking out.

TLDR:
This game was complete sewage. I would not recommend it even for free.
Perhaps the devs took all the people saying "Oh Yeah, I played... uh... the 1st game... uh... for the story??" to heart, then created something that was more arid than the Sahara... pun intended.

Seriously guys, we're parched and we don't just want to play p♥rn...
This game is the definition of wasted potential, incompetent writing, and inept design direction.

(EDIT NOTE: I feel a little bad for such a harsh review - maybe I'm just not the right audience, people seemed to really like this and I just honestly don't understand all the positive reviews...)

OVERALL:
The game really overstays its welcome, and the last few chapters drag on for an eternity. None of it felt worth the time I wasted on it - it wasn't even fun. My boyfriend and I played through the 13 hours to completion with the hope that it would get better - but it never did. Multiple times we both said "man, it sure is taking its time to get to the good stuff" and eventually that became "Huh, Maybe there is no good stuff..." Props to him sticking it out through the entire garbage experience.

The voice acting and story are just as dreadful as the 1st game, but this is missing the things that made the 1st game fun. Although, the game art is very well done. At least one thing is worthy of some praise in this steaming heap. Another reviewer stated (somewhere) "I feel sorry for the artists that had their work dragged down by the ♥♥♥♥ show that was the game design and story writers." and I am 100% in agreeance with this. Wasted talent and potential.

COMPARING THE SEQUEL:
The 1st game is better for one simple reason: It is what it is - and that's ok. It was a short game to see weird sexy monster things with some gore and disturbing concepts. Lust from Beyond, however; tries to be a serious 'shock-horror' of sorts that clearly, desperately wants to have a decent story - but just falls on its face. I just wanted to see weird kinky cult ♥♥♥♥ but got rotting corpses instead. How horribly disappointing.

GAMEPLAY:
The chase sequences give you no time to look around (not that there's a whole lot to look at aside from body parts and corpses), and forces you to run through large sections of the game. Then there are these large stealth sections where you have to rub your face on everything slowly while enemies patrol around you. It just feels like there's not much middle ground being one extreme or another.

Its quickly noticeable that many assets are reused over and over to make the spaces feel less empty, I can accept that... but the puzzles are all reused as well. Every puzzle is the exact same thing over and over with minimal changes (if any) to the appearance. The quick time events are done so poorly, half the time it isn't clear what you are meant to do - spam, hold, click... till you've failed multiple times from not knowing the rules, often resulting in death.

Also, I have to note... CAN YOU CLIMB A LADDER ANY ♥♥♥♥ING SLOWER?! MY GOD! This is only secondary to the mind-numbingly long loading screens!!!

CHARACTERS:
I would go as far to say there are really no likable characters in this at all - Everyone is a bad person with manipulative and self-serving ulterior motives. Including the protagonist, which is dumb as a box of rocks, an arrogant ass in all situations, and painfully unfunny. Many would call him unrelatable, I would call him insufferable.

LORE:
current happenings in the game story is not a difficult concept - its real basic stuff. The lore, however, straight up makes little to no sense. They try so hard to make something interesting and intellectual but its just boring word vomit. Someone cracked open a thesaurus and said a bunch of random words trying to sound smart and deep. No, perhaps they just shoved that thesaurus in a blender then dumped the sludge into the written notes and dialog coding and called it a day.

BUGS | ACHIEVEMENTS:
From the sounds of it, there's quite a few bugged achievements - one of which I can confirm after spending entirely too long watching a man on the toilet. Also at a certain point of progression, you will lose your entire inventory, in turn, losing items related to achievements and unlocks. Sometimes story progression isn't completely clear, and even the menu objective is vague. The game will not tell you when you are happening upon progression, losing access to previous areas - so if you are wanting the collectables - I suggest a walkthrough to avoid accidentally triggering lock-out progression.

Čekal jsem lacinou úchylárnu na efekt… a dostal jsem atmosférický horor , který se nebojí jít hodně za hranu , ale zároveň má slušný příběh, výborný artstyle a fakt solidní napětí . Svět Lusst’ghaa je vizuálně totální úlet (v dobrém) a chvílemi jsem měl pocit, že hra není nechutná „protože může“, ale protože to prostě patří k tomu, co chce vyprávět.

Největší síla je atmosféra – protože tenhle svět je takový bizár, že ho chceš pochopit (nebo aspoň přežít). Souboje a stealth nejsou úplně top, ale kdo by to čekal… tohle není Doom, tohle je zvrácený výlet do pekla.

A jo – sex/porno scénky tu jsou , občas fakt dost explicitní a rozhodně ne jen „aby se neřeklo“ :-)

Pro: atmosféra a vizuál, originální svět, příběh, sex a porno scénky :-)
Proti: boj a stealth občas toporný

Honestamente, não se trata do título mais inovador ou interessante em termos de mecânicas (apesar de me lembrar Amnesia em alguns quesitos), mas isso não o faz ruim e, pra mim, isso pouco importa diante da narrativa. A história, os personagens, criaturas, os ambientes e a mitologia construída se mostram muito bons em capturar a atenção e despertar a curiosidade de explorar esse universo, que é, sim, macabro, pesado, explícito e meio desconfortável; mas, na minha opinião, eles construíram isso de uma forma legal, que dá vontade de descobrir mais sobre tudo o que tá rolando ali.

O jogo faz uma boa conexão e continuidade com Lust for Darkness. É uma experiência que vale a pena para quem aprecia temáticas obscuras, as obras de H. R. Giger (que, honestamente, foram muito bem representadas por meio dos cenários e artes incríveis do jogo), o horror de Lovecraft e o filme De Olhos Bem Fechados.

Ainda que seja, sim, um jogo de terror, violento, tenso e atmosférico, e não uma obra para qualquer um (não compre achando que é um simulador de sexo), ele é um bom exemplar do gênero de horror cósmico, psicológico, cru, erótico e sombrio.

This is an upgrade from the first game in every metric, but the best part is definitely the story, lore, and setting. The game uses desire as a means of horror: there are a lot of bodies, fluids, shapes, anatomies, and other grotesque visuals. By no means should you go into this game thinking you're gonna get fun and pretty sex, because you're not.

Aside from the Giger and Lovecraft-inspired stuff, there are also many parts where you’re in the real world, which reminded me of other games like Manhunt and Resident Evil.

At the beginning, the game says you should play it at night with headphones on, and I highly recommend doing so. The sound design is very good and it made me feel very anxious and tense at times.

Despite all of this, the game has some issues. As the game expanded from the first one, new mechanics were introduced, which I appreciate, but I feel they were underutilized. There were also some very odd choices in the level design, some of which made the game frustrating at times. By the end, the narrative feels rushed and there were some things that I felt made no sense.

Overall, I recommend it if you're looking for a different experience. It delivers on it's promise to offer cosmic horror that looks like something out of the works of Beksinski.

A bit of Amnesia, Thief 3, Dark Messiah of Might and Magic and Prey from 2006 is what this game plays and feels like but it is such an underrated game nonetheless.

I got more than I expected from this game. What I found the most enjoying was the plot revealing itself as you play, unique surroundings, well done sound and setting. What i didn't like was the constant dying and somewhat boring puzzles.

Overall It's a game I can recommend if you're into the unusual gameplay.

Very good but somewhat flawed.
The gameplay is cool! A satisfying mix of survival horror, intense action and fun puzzles. The story is also consistently interesting and the atmosphere is exactly what I wanted! Very bad-ass, creepy and bleak Giger inspired scenery throughout!
Unfortunately the controls could be a lot better! This game mostly works with a controller but when it acts up, it causes significant issues. There’s also a few bugs that could use fixing.
This being said, still very good. I’d give this about an 8/10 even with the minor issues I had. I think I liked Lust For Darkness more but both are definitely worth playing!

Симуляторы ходьбы бывают разными: от пугающих хорроров и приключений до головоломок, которые бросают вызов мозгу внезапной нагрузкой. Lust from Beyond пытается соблазнить игрока не только ходьбой, но и взрослым содержанием, как это было в Lust for Darkness. В этот раз всё масштабнее и интереснее, с чуть измененным геймплеем и увеличенной продолжительностью игры. Но, увы, даже шаг вперёд не спасает игру от все еще скучного и однообразного геймплея, который, несмотря на изменения, остался таким же пресным и лишённым души.

[h2] Кратко и по делу [/h2]

Lust from Beyond — это симулятор ходьбы для взрослых, пропитанный лавкрафтовской атмосферой мрака и оккультных тайн, с элементами экшена и простейших головоломок.

Разработала игру польская студия Movie Games Lunarium, которая вскоре после релиза была расформирована, а права перешли к другой польской компании — Madmind Studio.

[h2] Сюжет [/h2]

По сравнению с прошлой частью, сюжет Lust from Beyond сделал большой шаг вперёд. Из простенького фанфика получилась полноценная история с собственным лором и проработанными персонажами, у которых, по крайней мере у главных, есть чёткая мотивация.

Наконец-то полноценно раскрыт странный мир Луст-Га: его устройство, ключевые фигуры, местные обитатели и причины, по которым он стал таким, каким его видит игрок. Не забыли и про персонажей из первой части: Джонатан, тот самый блеклый герой Lust for Darkness, здесь раскрывается как личность, а его трагедия — кем он стал после финала первой игры, подробно объясняется через записки и немного по сюжету. Аманда тоже не осталась в стороне, став одной из главных действующих лиц.

Помимо диалогов, разработчики доработали побочные истории, знакомые по первой части. Теперь они называются «Книга тайн» и открываются через сбор записок, но стали заметно лучше. Каждая из пяти записок в побочных историях — это отдельная глава текста, доступная для изучения сразу, без необходимости собирать все пять. Направлений по-прежнему три: «Королева Наслаждения» (раскрывающая Аманду и события первой части), «Алая ложа» (рассказывающая об антагонисте и наследии культа наслаждения) и «Демиурги» (погружающая в устройство вселенной и её создание). Всё это серьёзно помогает разобраться в происходящем, так что игнорировать записки — значит лишить себя значительной части сюжета.

В центре сюжета Lust from Beyond — Виктор Холлоуэй, владелец небольшого антикварного магазина, чья спокойная жизнь рушится из-за кошмаров и галлюцинаций. В этих видениях он блуждает по странному, мрачному миру. Однажды, в порыве одной из таких галлюцинаций, он ненароком бьёт свою девушку.

Не желая терпеть подобное, она отправляет его к доктору Чарльзу Аустрелицу — известному врачу в небольшом городке Бликмур. Город встречает героя пустынными улицами и зловещей атмосферой ярмарки, приуроченной к празднику Солнцестояния. Но всё ли так просто, и стоит ли Виктору доверять заботливому доктору?

[h2] Геймплей [/h2]

Вот тут-то всё интересное и заканчивается. Симулятор ходьбы есть симулятор ходьбы: как и в первой части, тут есть небольшие головоломки, но уже без масок и стелса, который теперь необязателен, кроме пары моментов. Самое большое изменение в геймплее — это добавление боя.

Теперь можно рубиться с противниками, причём игра будет намекать: «Ну вот, тут есть стелс, можно красться мимо врага», — но зачем? Бой сделан очень просто и посредственно: большую часть игры доступен только нож, который косит врага со второго-третьего удара. А с учётом того, сколько аптечек валяется на карте, тратить время на стелс вместо того, чтобы вспомнить знаменитую фразу про нож и печень — это какой-то новый уровень мазохизма.

Тем более что урон от врагов мизерный: в среднем за бой тратится один-два квадратика здоровья из минимум четырёх. Ближе к концу игры дадут пистолет, который ваншотает врага в голову, но смысла в нём уже мало, ведь бои в основном в начале и конце.

Ещё добавили боссов. С финальным боссом всё понятно — всё-таки финал, надо хоть что-то сделать. Но зачем добавили сражение с боссом в середине игры — это я вообще не понимаю. Весь бой с ним я бы описал так: бегаешь по маленькому квадрату от медленного босса, стреляешь в трубу, а потом ещё в голову упавшего на колени врага — и так несколько раз. Это звучит просто, но на самом деле — это супер просто и проходится с первого раза без единой царапины. В общем, боевая система вроде бы есть, но зачем она, если не вызывает никаких эмоций и превращается в безумие с повторением одного и того же действия?

Головоломки в игре тоже есть, но супер простые. Чаще всего, когда подразумеваются подсказки, тебе буквально дают ответы, так что всё решается на раз-два, и ни одна не запоминается. В потустороннем мире с загадками всё так же плохо: в основном это движение перемещаемой платформы или заманивание моба в нужную точку. Качество то же — проходятся быстро. Единственная новая вещь, к которой нет претензий, — это появление нескольких концовок, как основных, так и побочных, раскрывающих судьбу второстепенных персонажей в зависимости от принятых решений.

[h2] Взрослый контент [/h2]

Взрослого контента в игре хватает — это всё тот же жесткач и содомия, как в Lust for Darkness, только ещё больше. Добавили вариативный контент, где игроку приходится принимать участие в сценах с мини-QTE, которые, впрочем, можно отключить в настройках.

Также если вам не хватило контента в игре или есть желание пересмотреть некоторые сцены из сюжета, то есть отдельный режим «Комнаты блаженства» — карты в нём открываются по мере прохождения сюжетных глав. Ну и для тех, кто устанет от такого контента, в начале игры можно включить цензуру.

[h3] Заключение [/h3]

Lust from Beyond — это игра, которая хотела быть чем-то большим, чем просто продолжение Lust for Darkness, и в чём-то ей это удалось, в плане сюжета и взрослого контента уж точно, а с геймплеем, к сожалению, получилось всё как всегда. Подводя итог, я рекомендую игру к ознакомлению, но только с полным пониманием, что геймплея от этой игры ждать точно не стоит.

I wanted to like this game. The artistry, the environments, and the voice acting are all well done. However the story is hot garbage and incoherent most of the time. The characters are mediocre. The level design was frequently confusing. The gameplay bounced between engaging to outright tedious and boring. The first "boss fight" was a frustrating mess of stun a couple times and attack several times per stun. Yeah, its a big dude, but 15 bullets to the head? ♥♥♥♥ off. Seemingly no one is a good person with any good outcomes which makes it impossible to care about any of the characters you meet, even the main character is pretty unrelatable.

All in all, I feel sorry for the artists that had their work dragged down by the ♥♥♥♥ show that was the game design and story writers. Game had more potential, but squandered it on dated, bad mechanics from the late 1990s to early 2000s.

Not big into the adult material aspect, but the story for both games is interesting. i recommend the M rated one to avoid the explicit stuff, but I recommend the game. I love the Lustful nature meets H.P. lovecraft

A Lovecraftian horror game that's macabre, otherworldly, and downright obscene. Honestly, it pulls all the tricks that makes a good Lovecraftian story. Cults, mystery, intrigue, a protagonist that's way in over his head, and a cosmic plane with entities that look like they've been pulled straight out of H.R. Giger's art book.

Not a porn game, I doubt anyone could find anything enjoyable here. If you believe that sex is sacred (it is) then you will feel uncomfortable about the constant theme and displays of depravity throughout. Bodily affliction and displays of death are present as well. It all becomes trivialized, and a means to an end. A mosaic censored mode is offered right out of the start menu.

Puzzles to solve, health, sanity, and resources to manage, collectables to gather and weapons to upgrade, It reminded me a lot of Resident Evil 7. There are several narrative choices that determines the ending, as well as the fate of several characters you meet. Some might find the results unrewarding, but cosmic horror comes with cosmic tragedy.

The only drawback (flaw) that I've had with this game is there is no chapter selection. There is no backtracking. You can, and most likely will, miss some of the collectible in your playthough, and you will have to replay the entire game, to make different decisions in order to observe alternate endings. This will become too much of a grind for many.

All in all, I enjoyed this game. If you looking for a mature game with otherworldly visuals and dark themes, give this one a consideration. Probably best picked up during a sale, and hidden from your friends.

5 из 10. "Проходняк" из палаты мер и весов. То что у нас тут Гигер и Лавкрафт - это хорошо. То что у нас тут, слабенький геймплей, деревянное управление и боёвка, так себе визуал и оптимизация, средненький сюжет и хреновая озвучка - это плохо.
P.S. А, точно, хоть это не проблема игры, но русская локализация - это какой-то звездец.

Fun and really nice looking game, alot of the elements reminded me of resident evil 7 biohazard in terms of the puzzles in the mansion and overall was very fun, except i was a bit freaked out by all the evil molestation stuff but ig thats just a core of the game. overall if u like "horror" games with lovecraftian cults its very fun but if u cant handle really weird graphic sex ♥♥♥♥ then i wouldnt recommend.

Well... the easiest way to describe this is "Scorn, but if the point of the game was sex... kinda?". I'm really not sure what the goal was here whether it was meant to be sexual content or horror, but it managed to miss the mark for both for me. The graphics look like the game was made in 2007. The only real plus side I actually found in the game was that at least the voice acting was mostly believable. Honestly, I regret buying this one. 3/10
