Great to hop in and have some fun especially with friends. However, you will need a controller. Playing with Keyboard/mouse is a nightmare and setting your key binds aren't permanent.

Still better than the Rings of Power

The game uses voice tracks and songs from the movies which is nice. However, I should note that this game only encompasses two of the movies, an Unexpected Journey & Desolation of Smaug, the Battle for the Five Armies is not included. They were going to make it as DLC and never did. Therefore there is a lot of levels with no enemies in it at all compared to the Lord of the Rings game. This game does have Lord of the Rings characters in that include (Bilbo Baggins Old, Frodo, Samwise Gamgee, Rosie Cotton, Baby Gimli, Gandalf the Grey, and Sauron (however, it is not black armor Sauron). The locations you get to explore include (Shire, Lake Town, Dol Galdur, Lonely Mountain, Weathertop, Rivendell, Lothlorien, Mirkwood Forest, the High Fells [Witch King area], Trollshaws, and Bree)

Pros:
- Open world Middle Earth game
- Great music soundtrack straight from the movies
- Added mounts to the game

Cons:
- Only contains two out of three movies
- Lack of characters from Battle of the Five Armies
- lack of enemies to face in levels mostly puzzles

This is the best game ever. Imagine if god wept and his tears stained the earth, it would leave behind this game. I love this game. I dont know how they managed to ecapsulate all the good in the world into this game but they did. Ignore the haters talking about "bugs" this game has no bugs. this game is perfect and any bug is actually just a feature in disguise. This game got me through my dogs dying and Trump getting elected. If I had a nickel for every time thinking of this game stopped me from killing myself id be elon musk. I can never be as good of a man as this game would be if it was a man.

Kapustę kiszoną 2 razy zagotować w wielkim garze, odlać wodę. W osobnym garnczku przetopić słoninę i wrzucić pokrojone kawałki mięsa. Mięso zrumienić i dodać 2 pokrojone w plastry cebule. Poddusić i dolać trochę wody. Gotować około 15 minut. Powstanie z tego gulasz. Po ugotowaniu wlać gulasz do kapusty kiszonej, wrzucić parę listków laurowych i ziele angielskie.

Teraz przystępujemy do krojenia kiełbasy i boczku. Wrzucamy na roztopioną słoninę i dodajemy pokrojoną cebulę. Całość dusimy i wrzucamy do gara z kapustą.

Grzyby namoczyć 1 godzinę i pokroić w paski. Wrzucić do gara z kapustą. Wszystko gotować 2 godziny, dodać koncentrat pomidorowy, pół paczki sproszkowanej papryki. Ponownie gotować 2 godziny.

Pod koniec gotowania dodać majeranek i zrobić zasmażkę z 3 łyżek mąki. Bigos będzie jeszcze smaczniejszy, gdy na drugi dzień podgotujemy go ponownie.

Nice retelling of The Hobbit, although I think the game ends before the actual story is concluded. The classic LEGO humor is toned down a bit, which makes this a bit more serious than other entries. There were some crafting bits I didn't like, but overall the game was fun.

The feeling of incompleteness ruins everything!
I really liked the mechanics, and how well the atmosphere of the first two movies was captured. But how can you release a "Hobbit" game and not include "The Battle of the Five Armies"? I was waiting for an epic finale, but instead, the credits rolled right at the most exciting moment. This "bait and switch" from the publisher completely killed all the positive impressions. My rating is 2/10. The game itself is good, but I can't recommend buying a "stub" of a story.

Incomplete game, does not include part 3: The battle of the Five Armies which will lead to a negative review.

This title fair for it's playability though there are endless 'hint stones' placed everywhere, dialogue of no-named characters that cannot be skipped, ENDLESS crossdresser jokes/visuals to no end; simply just a bad joke told over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and... From beginning to incomplete end.

Overused and unimaginative cells used for any location behind a door, rock, cave, etc. just with a mild reorganization of rocks and ore.

I could go on, and in fact I did when it came to the storyline and unlocking nearly all characters though I truly wish I hadn't.

What an ultimate waste of time.

Framerate is really good.
Gameplay is fine if you like Hobbits. I'm not the biggest Hobbit guy.
Did a couple missions and had a good time.
Not the best LEGO games has to offer but not the worst.
I'll revisit it when i'm done with the other games.

O problema é que parece que, para compensar, eles estenderam o modo livre, mas fizeram isso de uma maneira horrível, com atividades EXTREMAMENTE repetitivas e personagens reciclados

Acaba sendo até bem frustrante, porque as missões do modo livre vão sendo desbloqueadas conforme você vai concluindo, então quando acaba uma, já aparece outra, fazendo parecer que nunca termina. Até porque demora mais tempo para completar o modo livre do que para completar a história, e ainda tendo que fazer as mesmas atividades repetidamente para os mesmos quatro NPCs

Além dos bugs que, meu deus, esse é de longe o jogo LEGO com mais bugs que eu já joguei. Ainda bem que não tive nenhum que quebrasse meu save, mas eu precisava constantemente reiniciar o jogo para arrumar algum erro que estava dando

Para quem gosta da franquia, é até que uma boa em uma promoção, mas de longe, o jogo do Lego Senhor dos Anéis é muito mais divertido

Easily the most disappointing game of the Lego franchise. The story was never finished so it ends abruptly after the first two movies, and after finishing the main campaign the game becomes almost unplayable with the amount of times it freezes or crashes. Trying to replay levels in free play ends in crashing halfway or most of the way through the level 8 out of 10 times. Overworld missions are very buggy, switches become untargetable randomly, characters phase through the ground or get stuck halfway through transition screens and get locked in a constant death loop, npc characters get regularly stuck on scenery, mounts occasionally throw your character in a random direction while also clipping into every object they touch...I knew the movies were rushed but damn, this is just sad work.

Lego The Hobbit is an absolute must play for lego fans. Had a great time exploring the world and seeing what it had to offer. There are 16 main mission to go through which in there own right are quite fun. Each mission is a certain part of the movies and they are done pretty well. The only downside is the third movie isn't here so the main missions end pretty abruptly. The missing the battle of five armies is a shame as it would of completed this game. Overall though the rest of the game plays well and is just like Lego LOTR. There are plenty of characters and blocks to collect. The resources are a great idea though it can get annoying when trying to craft 20 plus items on top of all the side quests requiring resources, it's manageable though. I gotta say I did experience quite a few bugs and had to play with the settings to get certain bricks to unlock and the game would constantly soft lock making me have to quit in and out of the game, luckly had no hard locks. After 100% the game I would recommending giving it a go when it goes on special.

The third movie is missing from the game. Sometimes it was frustrating, mainly the camera angles in small spaces, bugged quests, and the navigation not navigating. Some cutscenes, like fast travel, or changing the day/night are non-skippable, which towards the end of the game gets pretty boring.

Overall I enjoyed playing it. Reached perfection under 50 hours.

Just completed this game for the second time, at a time when nobody gives a flop about the movies it's based on. With the tinted glasses of Hobbit hype safely off, I can say that this isn't a game for everybody.

Specifically, anybody who's easily detered by bugs should stay away. They're not egregious enough to make it impossible to complete (and weren't as bad on my second playthrough) but certainly enough to make getting through it a trial.

Also, don't play it if you have better things to do. This isn't peak gaming, only a run-of-the-mill Lego game.

So why should you play it? Because, quite simply, it's more Lego gaming for those who can't get enough of the copy-pasted formula (like me). If you can struggle past the bugs, you have another charming Lego game to keep you entertained for 30 hours or more.

And as for the Battle of the five armies...if you've seen that movie, you'll understand what I mean when I say it's disinclusion is probably for the best.

So far really enjoying this. As a fan of The Hobbit and LOTR it is a lot of fun to play through Middle Earth in the Lego world. I like the crafting aspect in this game compared to others like Harry Potter Lego which I dont remember having that. This game tells the stories well and its fun to relive them.

Fun, but not as good as the LEGO Lord of the Rings game. I do think the new loot system and building minigame is interesting. Much like the Hobbit movies this one came out half-baked. There are some odd bugs that require you to cap the fps at 30 in various places if you want to 100%, and the third movie is absent.

Overall a really fun playthrough, and especially fun if you enjoy the Lego "endgame" of exploring the overworld and figuring out the puzzles to unlock the remaining collectibles and getting to that 100% completion. You get the awesome OST from The Hobbit movies, and Christopher Lee (RIP) does some of the narration.
BUT...! It only features story mode for the initial 2 movies, the 3rd movie is completely left out. I'd suggest just reading The Hobbit if you want the full story as J.R.R Tolkien intended it.
AND the game suffers from a lot of crashes, especially in free play, I'd suggest saving at every opportunity, I've had to redo an entire free play level because I crashed at the last stage.
Still, great fun for what I paid for it (~$4 CAD)

Баги, баги, баги и еще раз баги. Их здесь будто с самого релиза не фиксили. Доходило до такого что в день мне ПРИХОДИЛОСЬ минимум по 3 траза перезаходить. Но не смотря на них, сквозь призму ностальгии в это играть можно, хоть и порой игра давала зевать. Уже не говоря и про то что здесь отсутствует третья глава, без наличия которой сюжет кажется оборваным и недосказаным. Но опять же сквозь боль и постояные перезаходы я смог завершить игру на 100% и получить от этого удовольствие....

Since lego star wars the complete saga, I've only read bad reviews of subsequent lego franchise games, but there's only so much starwars and Indiana i can repeatably keep spending co-op time with my friend. so i got this on sale. Was actually impressed by the different format of no lobby and instead quest items spread throught the middle-earth map and split screen co-op. some say it's all pointless grind. but i pick up a lego game to smash everything anyway. My MOST IRRATE experience beyond the obsticle courses was having to set VERTICAL REFRESH TO 30Hz (and possibly low textures) just to get (as of 60% completion) a quest to activate. I write this after having had my first game crash, but it's still buggy with control settings having to be set each time (friend is used to previuos lego controls and they changed it) every so ofter I have to stop restart after a charater gets stuck/ and has no access to map/ and controls stop. (also annoying to select a weapon and have to keep picking it AGAIN)

LEGO The Hobbit to jedna z odsłon popularnej serii gier osadzonych w świecie klocków LEGO. Produkt zawiera część pierwszą trylogii (Niezwykła Podróż) oraz drugą (Pustkowie Smauga). Brak jest niestety części ostatniej czyli Bitwy Pięciu Armii i gra sprawia wrażenie niedokończonej. Tak jak i inne produkty z tego uniwersum, LEGO The Hobbit zawiera mnóstwo różnego rodzaju obiektów do odblokowywania i znajdowania. Jest to niewątpliwie produkcja dla osób, które uwielbiają kolekcjonować wszelkiej maści znajdźki i stopniowo "maksować" grę na 100%. Zebranie wszystkich trofeów zajęło mi około 36 godzin, ale można to zrobić szybciej, lepiej optymalizując trasy i poszczególne czynności. Z wad należy wymienić fakt, że pojawiają się momentami bugi i różnego rodzaju usterki. Na pewno polecam produkt wszystkim graczom, którzy lubią świat LEGO i uwielbiają zdobywać nowe trofea. Polecam.

Osobiste wspomnienia: Jako osoba, która dosłownie kocha tego typu produkcje, owa gra dała mi sporo satysfakcji z jej ukończenia na 100%. Dla wszystkich tych, którzy zamierzają również ją "wymaksować" zalecam dużą porcję cierpliwości do wspomnianych wyżej usterek i niedociągnięć. Z całą pewnością ogram kolejne tytuły z serii LEGO- następny w kolejce jest chyba Władca Pierścieni. Także jeszcze raz polecam i liczę na więcej :)

LEGO The Hobbit is one of the entries in the popular LEGO-themed game series. The game includes the first part of the trilogy (An Unexpected Journey) and the second (The Desolation of Smaug). Unfortunately, the final part (The Battle of the Five Armies) is missing, which makes the game feel unfinished. Like other titles in this universe, LEGO The Hobbit features a huge number of unlockables and collectibles. It is undoubtedly a game for players who enjoy collecting all kinds of items and gradually completing the game to 100%.

Collecting all achievements took me about 36 hours, although it can be done faster with better route and task optimization. One of the downsides is the presence of occasional bugs and technical issues. I definitely recommend this game to all players who enjoy the LEGO universe and love earning new achievements. Recommended.

Personal memories: As someone who truly loves this type of game, it gave me a great deal of satisfaction to complete it 100%. For those who also plan to fully complete it, I recommend having a lot of patience with the aforementioned bugs and shortcomings. I will certainly play more titles from the LEGO series—the next one in line is probably LEGO The Lord of the Rings. Once again, highly recommended, and I look forward to more.
