fun game if you enjoy time management type of games. I've replayed it three times now. Great for decompressing after a long day at work. Would love more content, maybe allow to fix up the nasty bathroom. (yuck)

Came to play after watching Caseoh's video about the game. There were a few twist in it that I wasn't expecting but it made me appreciate all the effort put into creating the game. It's worth checking out and playing 10/10 would recommend

been playing this for a while now, with the added XP and increased earnings has made the game much easier to progress and level up, honestly been having way too much fun with this - I'd definitely recommend anyone looking to dive into a laundromat simulator a try! This one really shines compared to the other laundromat simulators available on steam rn.

I wanted a cozy chill game but I went in blind and constantly scared of some ring chick or slenderman about to pop up behind me. It made me super nervous that I stopped doing quests whenever someone was outside and reading the damn "WANTED" poster outside across. So if you're easily spooked and want a casual game, this aint it.

QoL - I saw this game came out a long time ago and surprised it doesn't have a snap feature. Some buttons don't fully work on newer features in the game on steam deck that you have to X out instead of pressing the X button to leave the screen.

Quests - Some are silly and adorable like a hurt reindeer but the scary/jump scare quests scare the bejeezus out of me. It's some psychological horror thing because i'm constantly scared someone will be staring at my shop from the outside. I read ahead in the forums to make sure I'm avoiding those quest logs. This dont make it a cozy game. Like WHY would you add such a thing??

Thankfully there is a button in the settings that makes the game cozier with no chaos. Just simple running the laundry store. But it doesn't seem like there have been many updates into the game since its release and they released a new game. So I dont believe any QoL changes will come. ESPECIALLY THE SNAP, holy potatoes the snap feature is a need for this game. Even though I have 25 hours into this, I probably wont continue this game. I just wanted to max all the features before I fully quit.

Laundry Store Simulator is a really weird take on the Simulator Genre. I enjoyed my time with it, but to be honest, the game is extremely restrictive and linear compared to most other Simulators.

[h2][b]Generating Income and Income Sources:[/b][/h2]
The primary goal of Laundry Simulator is to raise enough money to pay off a $10,000 loan, but rather than focusing on different branches of Laundry Store related incomes, the game has you managing several different businesses within your Laundromat. By the end of the game, you are a Laundromat, a Corner Store, A custom T shirt maker, a Shoe Cleaner, a Carpet Cleaner and a Bakso restaurant. I would have preferred more thematic choices like different types of drying and washing to stick with the theme than pivoting to all these different businesses that are loosely related to laundry at best, but the point I'm making is you end up with all these different streams of revenue. But none of these streams are balanced with each other. Additional Room expansions and new features cost an excessive amount of money one time, while day-to-day expenes like bills and employees cost $2 a day each and are essentially so negligible that you forget they even exist. All in all, money in general just feels really inconsequential and not very balanced.

Coinwashing is just objectively superior to everything despite requiring the least maintenance of all revenue sources. Even with rather low-to-mid game Coinwashers, I am clearing nearly $4000 in revenue per day from Coinwashing alone. Manual Laundry, with the assistance of most of my employees, barely clears half of what I make from coinwashing. Meanwhile, even with triple revenue for Shoe Cleaning, a single clean will not even net you $20.00, and you'll get a maximum of 2 or 3 shoes to clean per day. T shirts are similarly low volume and low renvenue. Carpet Cleaning is quicker and easier than cleaning shoes, and pays out about $100 per Carpet (2-3 per day). A single Coinwasher costs a fraction of the shoe cleaning station, and generates between $20 and $60 per day. The Minimart feels very lucrative at the beginning of the game, even moreso than laundry, but completely pivots to one of the worst income sources in the end game. With how much hassle you have constantly restocking it (even with the help of the storage employee), it ultimately consumes 80% of your time at the laundromat to provide maybe 5% of your total endgame profits. Ultimately the income generated from your different streams of income is super unbalanced and it really just boils down to laundry and especially coinwashers being the only true reliable income source, while all other sources are simply unlocked for story progression and take a lot of time and effort to produce very minimal profits.

[h2][b]Employees, Expansion and Linear Progression:[/b][/h2]

All Employees are named, fulfil a strict function and must be unlocked more or less in order. Your first employee will always be Ellen, she will always fold/iron Landry, and nothing else. Her additional upgrade which allows her to lint roll laundry cannot be unlocked until end game. Employees in general are in a weird spot where once you get them, they completely remove and automate an entire aspect of the game. There's a very clear tipping point about halfway through the game where you flip from being constantly running around because you have to do everything, to sitting around bored every day because there is literally nothing for you to do. In the late game, some of your employees just can't keep up and there's no way to hire additional employees for most categories. Specifically the storage room employee has an upgrade that allows her to also restock your vending machines, and ultimately, she cannot juggle both of these responsibilities. She is stretched way too thin and neither your minimart nor your vending machines remain stocked. You cannot hire a second employee of any type, except for washing/drying and folding/ironing laundry roles, which have 2 employees each. Like Employees, you have to unlock additional rooms in the laundromat in a specific order to unlock features required to rank up, which unlocks additional washers and items. Many of these features aren't often worth the money you invest in them, but you cannot progress the game without unlocking them, essentially locking you behind early game machines unless you engage in them. So you're essentially forced to do all of your unlocks in a predetermined order, including unlocks that never really pay for themselves in the long run, to progress in the game and unlock better machines. This is a terrible design choice.

In 30 hours I have basically explored virtually every aspect of the game and because of the linearity of the progression path, there's really no reason to replay the game from the beginning. There's a lot of good ideas here, but just very poor and extremely linear execution.

I got this game after watching the series by caseoh. There was so much to do, i wanted to give it a go. Some games are only worth to watch being streamed one and done. But games like this that add a bunch of stuff is worth buying. Cool idea to open a diner in the game across the street and hire a manager end game to collect the cash at end of day. Could hire one of the unique npcs to have different manager styles. Like if you hire caseoh's character. He could be harsh and bring down morale which would slow people down. Hire the perv and his style could be a distracting boss. Bomb guy could sabotage.

Fun little sim. I have enjoyed the unexpected characters so far. I appreciate the different money/time sinks they have built in, along with some fun random oddities that keeps things interesting. At the same time, it's a chill enough game that it doesn't require focused attention *all* the time. Good for unwinding.
