Just one cozy simple game about fishing.
Just finished Isle of Jura and honestly… it feels like stepping out of a quiet dream.
This isn’t a fast-paced or super deep game — it’s all about slowing down. You fish, explore, talk to people, and just kind of exist on this small island. The gameplay loop can get repetitive, but that’s also part of the charm.
Big personal highlight for me: catching all the fish. It honestly feels like Pokémon, but with fish — gotta catch ‘em all energy. The fishing itself is super simple and chill, which actually works really well if you’re into casual, low-stress games.
The art style is cozy, and the soundtrack quietly does its thing in the background without ever being annoying.
That said… not everything landed for me. The characters all sound like the adults from Peanuts, just that muffled “wah wah wah” energy — I ended up muting them pretty fast. And the camera? Absolute chaos. Like being stuck on a merry-go-round while trying to fish. It’s rough.
If you’re looking for something calm to unwind with, it’s worth it. If you want action, polish, or depth, this probably won’t hook you.
Overall: a peaceful little game with some charm, but also a few things that might test your patience.

Хорошая игра отдохнуть порыбачить, без замысловатого сюжета только рыбалка.
Немного о игре: небольшой остров на котором есть озёра, реки и море. В каждом озере или реке есть рыба которую можна поймать только там. Ещё есть открытое море и чтобы там все словить нужна большая удача или много времени (привет бирюзовый Омар). Также можна собирать артефакты, они ничего не дают но если собрать все то будет ачивка.
A decent fishing game, fun to zone out and find all the different fish. Going to be a bit difficult to fully complete without a guide, as there's barely any hints as to where the different varieties of fish are and how many do you still have to get.
Not much else going on in this game though, the story is a few sentences and the upgrade path is very short. The entire game feels like a minigame taken from a bigger game, but hey, at least it's engaging.

Die Kameraführung ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig.
Ja, es ist ein bisschen wonky, es fühlt sich langsam an [strike] und die Knöpfe sind ein bisschen off, sodass man manchmal viel rumprobieren & -klicken muss im Menü oder Gesprächen [/strike] Edit: nur bei Mac! , aber das stört mich nicht weiter.
Ich empfehle nur regelmäßig zu speichern.... es ist mir bisher einmal abgestürzt und eine knappe Stunde Angelprogress war komplett gone :(
Gab es im März 2025 kostenlos, aber auch für regelmäßig unter 1€ im Sale kann man da denke ich nicht viel falsch machen!
Первоначально история повествуется интересно, далее через минут 30 становится душноватой, в плане геймплея ничего сложного, ловите определенное количество рыбы параллельно роясь и находя артефакты, для получения платины придется сильно углубиться в божество бога рандома, тому как, места, где ловится рыбка, бывает так, что ее там не поймать, некоторые отмечают сложность управления удочкой, в первые две-три минуты так и будет, на деле, просто нужно приловчиться.
Сюжет вполне незамысловатый, но особого вау эффекта и не должно быть в таком простеньком симуляторе, позалипать на вечер-второй определенно можно. Вердикт 7/10.

Игра спокойная, я бы сказала, что даже слишком спокойная, так как в игре отсутствуют возможности прыжка и шифта, поэтому когда нужно пробежать с одного конца локи до другого это начинает надоедать. Сюжет проще состава атома, так как он буквально заканчивается там, где заканчиваются рыбы, причем, я его закончила даже раньше, чем собрала рыб, моя гг посчитала, что собрала достаточно рыб, чтобы получить пятерку по своему проекту по биологии, после чего пошли титры. Хотя количество рыб не такое уж и большое ловля некоторых видов зависит от удачи и места. Про наличии в игре артефактов вообще сказать нечего, собрала их быстрее чем все виды рыбы, такое чувство, что это было добавлено, чтобы просто продлить время игры, так как никакого смысла к игре и сюжету они не имели. Некоторые нпс просто существуют, а не которые тоже пытаются продлить сюжет, располагаясь на разных концах локаций, чтобы добежать к ним что-то купить или сдать рыбу (напомню: без шифта и прыжка), учитывая что в игре есть места, через которые нельзя пройти или срезать и приходится наворачивать круг. Что касается нпс отвечающего за магазин, я скупила у него все предметы быстрее чем за 30 минут после начала игры. Геймплей настолько однообразный, что просто скучный, рыбы ловятся просто, хоть механика ловли почти такая же как и в Стардью, но она гораздо легче. Я собрала всех рыб меньше чем за 4 ч, но если и постараться можно и успеть пройти игру меньше чем за 2 ч. Хорошо, что я забрала это бесплатно, больше рыбачить в Журу я не поеду, спасибо.

Простая игра про рыбалку, ничего особенного, но судя по другим отзывам в игре довольно трудно словить некоторые виды рыб из за чего у некоторых на 100% прохождение игры может занять от 4 до 10 часов игры. А так игра хорошая, но только если по скидке или на бесплатной раздаче в стиме

Почему в это стоит поиграть?
1.Никакого стресса: Тут нельзя проиграть. Никто не стреляет, таймер не тикает. Ты просто гуляешь под приятную музыку. Идеально, чтобы «разгрузить» голову.
2.Эстетика: Графика простая, но очень солнечная и теплая. Ощущение, что ты реально уехал на выходные к океану.
3.Коллекционирование: В игре куча видов рыб. Чтобы поймать редкую «золотую» рыбу, нужно подбирать наживку и искать правильные места. Для тех, кто любит закрывать атласы на 100% — самое то.
4.Короткий метр: Проходится буквально за 2 часа. Это не та игра, в которой надо жить, это игра-отпуск.
Минусы
Геймплей очень однообразный: пришел — закинул удочку — вытянул.
Если ищешь экшен или сложный сюжет, тут этого нет. Это чисто созерцательная вещь.
Дайте мне уже награду сообщества, я уже устал эти обзоры клепать.

Something I found odd about the Isle of Jura (IJ) was the low clearance rates for the game's three achievements. Two of them were for simply completing the main activities and finishing this title, hovering around 10%. Surely that couldn't be that daunting a task to complete, so why were they all so low? It didn't take much playtime for me to understand why this was the case.

Initially, I thought this game revolved around exploring the island, but I had the wrong impression of IJ. At its core, it's a fishing game. The mechanics were just so basic I thought it was one of the few distractions you could engage with on the island, not the primary focus. There's a few methods available, which slightly alters the mechanics of how you catch fish. With the net, you merely time the input properly and immediately get whatever you catch. When using a fishing rod, there's the issue of maintaining a balance with the fishing line so that it doesn't break. Either way, I find it a little too simplistic considering its the sole thing you're doing. I found a single random item on the beach, which is an artifact I could donate to the local historian. You can use money to buy magnets, guaranteeing you'll catch another one. From this item, I don't know if it implies that's the only way to get more artifacts, or if you can catch them instead of a fish.

You're able to play IJ with a controller, but I found the button layout odd. There's unused face buttons that could have been assigned, yet you use the shoulder buttons to cast and fish. It works, I just think it's an odd choice.

It seems like a bad sign when the main character doesn't really want to visit the island making up the game's setting, as if they already know how boring and lifeless it's going to be. That's what I felt, after walking around the entire perimeter, realizing that's all there was. There's not many people to interact with, not much to look for or do, and the NPCs have about as much life to them as they look. From what I saw of the gameplay, I don't think much will change or advance the story until you reach the end.

Video games should capitalize on the environments they choose to focus on, whether or not they're aiming for a realistic representation of the setting. Even if the place would normally feel bland or empty, you don't want the player to have that same experience as they explore the world you've created for them, “There's nothing here. I'm glad I spent money on this.” Once you realize how empty the island is, you have no reason to leave where the NPCs are you need to interact with. The only reason for doing that would be to find a specific kind of fishing spot that's not in the immediate area. Also, for a game not meant to be creepy, the lifeless expressions on the humans' faces is on the disturbing side. Seeing your character reel in fish that look like art projects instead of living things doesn't make for a sense of satisfaction or triumph.

A decent portion of your time in this game would include either silence or ambient noise, as there isn't always background music playing. For the ambient noise, it consists of wind blowing and sounds of water moving. While fishing, the noise your bobber makes while waiting for a bite is surprisingly loud, drowning out any of the background sounds meant to set the atmosphere. Regarding the music, in one case, there were enough notes being played I'd consider it a full song, but in another instance, there was only intermittent guitar strums happening every so often. It felt more like someone tinkering or practicing than anybody deliberately playing a tune.

🔍 I would spend my money upgrading fishing gear before getting magnets to reel in attractions.

I guess I wouldn't say IJ is unplayable, but the question is, why would you want to? It's functional, the controls don't fight against you, yet it doesn't have a fun factor either. There's nothing that makes me want to dive into the action and catch all the fish available. A better mini-game or gameplay cycle would be a greater hook to hold my attention. However, with a story that doesn't get developed, and NPCs that are as flat as the fish you catch, there's simply not enough on the island to make it an experience worth spending your time on. That's why I don't recommend this game.

A charming fishing game set on a small island. Imagine Animal Crossing/Stardew Valley fishing: The Game.
I enjoyed it more than I expected, the fishing minigames were fairly varied but a bit tricky to understand sometimes (screw you fly rod) but it was still nice to catch and complete your collection. Artifacts are present as well akin to Stardew Valley that we also not uber difficult to get.
The camera is a bit buggy at times, and I wish I could pan along the y axis, but I am guessing there were problems in the camera's implementation.
I got this for free, but 5 $ is completely fair given the small team that worked on it.

Начну с того что мне не хотелось бы ставить игре негативную реакцию, но нейтральной в Steam нет, а положительную поставить я всё же не могу. Плюс игры - маленькая зона, это удобно. Минус - одного вечера на неё скорее не хватит, а тратить два - уже жалко. Так почему же всё же негативная реакция? Ну, эта игра "пустая". Она ничем не цепляет. В ней просто надо ловить рыбу, время от времени меняя место для рыбалки и ожидая пока рандом вытянет тебе нужную живность. Формально в игре есть история, но она лишь объясняет почему героиня вообще отправилась на остров и занялась там рыбалкой. Вроде бы есть соревновательный момент с разным весом рыб, но в нём нет смысла. Вроде бы есть подобие экономики (улов надо продавать, а за деньги - покупать новые снасти), но уже первый подход обеспечивает деньгами до конца игры. Артефакты немного вносят разнообразия, но его недостаточно. Может быть дополнительные миниигры? Больше взаимодействия с НИПами? Я не знаю.

因此我对这游戏比较宽容，毕竟立省100%嘛。玩法就是捞鱼，钓鱼，卖钱，收集收藏品，虽然要素很少，但依然可以当个灵魂放空小游戏来玩，这时候还真的觉得挺有趣。最大问题就是走得慢以及不会跳，很多地方看似跳一下就能到，实则要绕，而且镜头不能上下转也有点憋屈。不过从我入手这游戏的价格来看，都不算是大问题hhh
3.1小时全成就，卖掉所有鱼后钱数为$1018。那个错误鱼有点说法，很多人说在东北方小河入海处（和狗鱼一个地方），但我在那钓上来的几乎都是狗鱼。最后是在西边一堆石头那一带出的。结果我最后一个完成全图鉴的鱼竟然是沙丁鱼，这个在北部海岸出，和鲭鱼类似。大家全成就后也可以卖掉所有鱼，统计一下时间和钱数然后发在讨论区的统计帖里面，看看谁是欧皇hhh

Baby's first fishing game (in other words, very child-friendly). If you have small children inclined toward task fulfillment/tedium tenacity & enjoyment (like I was and still am), this is a great introductory video game for them, especially if they enjoy fishing/fishing mechanics. Otherwise, this is an easy and fast completion whether you're going for 100% achievements or not. Graphics are decent to look at with interesting designs for the fish, controls are quite easy though the lack of vertical camera control leaves something to be desired, and I encountered zero bugs throughout. Overall, I recommend.

A couy fishing game. the controls are not great. The fishing at times is reliant on the frame rate. But I think the developer fixed it while I was playing. Good on them.

para quem quer jogar um jogo apenas casualmente é um bom jogo, a platina chega a ser um pouco angustiante pois é necessário de um pouco de sorte, porém deviam fragmentar os troféus, para ficar com pelo menos 10 troféus separados, de resto é um jogo relaxante.
It's a charming little game.
But there are some things that would be nice in a next episode
(if there will be any):
- Free camera option (currently you can only roll left and right, not up and down which would help sometimes)
- Somehow make it less tedious and repetitive.
I finished in 5 hours, but I bet the walking x to y part and the RNG fishing took most of the time...
- Since you can't jump and fall, you have to use the paths. Feels linear, even if you can explore the small island.
- Add more interactivity (one of the NPC only has 2 dialogs and adds NOTHING to the game, objects littered on the map without purpose)
- More NPC's with purpose
- Bigger island
- More items
I liked the game. Had some flaws that I listed.
It has a decent graphics that fits and good atmosphere.
Gameplay is okay, "creature" variety is okay.
5 hours, 100% achievements (3) and 2379$ in game.
Had to use one of the Community guide to shorten the game time.
Without that, it would might be 6-8 hours.
For 0.69€ on sale, it's a really good deal!

It's relaxing and fun game. Too bad it didnt have more content it has potential but it great!

Peguei de graça e gastei mais tempo do que deveria, acho que gosto de jogos de pescaria mais arcades. Não sou de fazer 100% em jogos, mas esse eu fiz questão de pegar todos os peixes/criaturas marinhas e os artefatos e foi gostosinho. Foi um bom cozy game para mim.
i wouldn't really recommend this back when i first played this in march 2025, but when i got back to it this 2026 a lot of the bugs got fixed so i gotta give credit where it's due. the janky camera angles got fixed and it was overall a much better experience this time around. i think the chance/luck also got better? because my fishing went by much faster. really chill and calming game, i'm glad i grabbed this when it went free.

Um jogo para relaxar, sem estresse, só fiquei estressado mesmo quando eu decidir completar o diário de pesca, e precisei capturar a Enguia verde e o Lavagante azul para isso, e pelo menos para mim, eles foram super raros para conseguir, fazendo eu gastar um bom tempo, mesmo vendo vídeo para tentar me localizar melhor, não funcionou, consegui pegá-los a base da persistência, fora esses dois, a Lula Turquesa também é um pouca rara, porém mais tranquila de conseguir, enfim, Platinado, joguinho bom.

it was pretty boring at some times, i liked it but it was a bit too much for me. i didnt like the fact that artifacts appeared at random times on the beach and you had to wait a lot of time to get them.
Сам по собі нормальний простий симулятор рибалки. Але в якийсь момент прогрес закінчився. Піймав 68% риби, всю в прудах, всю в річках. Купив всі види вудочок. Сплавав на кораблику на глибоководні місця, виловив там всі види риби. Нова риба більше не ловиться, де б не закидував ту вудочку. 2 години витрачено, відчуття незавершеності трохи підбішує
Excellent Fishing simulator, and they made the rest of the game around it as a bonus.

- Pontos Positivos da experiência:
-> Variação de mecânicas para cada equipamento de pesca
-> Boa variedade de espécies
-> Trilha Sonora incrivelmente relaxante(Que violão simplesmente incrível)
-> Gráficos dos cenários decentes(A textura do mar é bonita)
-> Efeitos sonoros decentes e ótimo barulho das ondas
- Pontos Negativos da experiência:
-> Design de personagens muito feio
-> Mapa pequeno e mesmo assim vazio
-> Pouca variedade de NPCs
-> História muito rasa e mal contada
-> Movimentação e câmera horríveis
Mesmo tendo sido uma experiência curta, muitos dos elementos do jogo me fizeram odiar a experiência, mas por ter sido de graça não liguei muito, mas eu posso afirmar que nunca pagaria R$ 16,99 nesse jogo, claro que dá para passar o tempo, mas por esse preço(Preço cheio do jogo) se espera mais polimento, conteúdo e qualidade, mas no fim de tudo dá para relaxar um pouco e se divertir.
Assim, não recomendo o jogo por quão injusto é seu preço comparado ao produto apresentado.

Its a fun littel fishing game. Its simple and easy to play and understand. But some fishes are a littel hard to get like the green eel or blue crab and dog fish. I recoment this game for casual gamers because its relaxing and i recomend it for kids. I also recoment reading some Guide for where to get the fishes.

Hubiera estado muy bueno que tenga mas canciones y, si bien yo sé leer inglés perfectamente, que tenga idioma al español.
De ahí en mas es muy bueno, hay animales con descripciones muy graciosas también.

O jogo é uma experiência curta, que pode ser finalizada em cerca de três horas. No entanto, com mais ou menos uma hora de jogatina eu já estava empurrando com a barriga e até recorri a um guia para finalizar logo, já que eu já estava na metade do jogo. Isso acontece principalmente porque a gameplay acaba ficando cansativa.
A proposta do jogo é simples: você está realizando uma pesquisa e precisa coletar uma certa quantidade de peixes espalhados pela ilha. O problema é que alguns só aparecem em lugares específicos, o que torna o processo repetitivo e um pouco chatinho.
O gráfico é bonito e interessante, espero que seja algum tipo de teste e que eles continuem lançando mais jogos.
O jogo está em inglês, mas isso não chega a atrapalhar, até porque praticamente não há história. Eu encaixaria esse jogo como jogo para jogar enquanto escuta um podcast, porém, como é fácil enjoar, não recomendaria muito.

I’ll always give a thumbs up to a fishing game. It comes with a short campaign, and getting all the achievements only takes a few hours. Still, it’s a relaxing and chill time. Fly fishing took me a while to get the hang of, though; try pressing the button at around 110 BPM.

This game actually surprised me. I honestly wasn't expecting much, however this is an incredibly cozy and comforting little fishing game. You get what you pay for; it's fun, well 'balanced' and pretty well thought out.
Kudos to the developers!
First it gives good and chill vibes but the game lacks the content desperately. Half of the playtime you're gonna spend on catching that last rare fish. Also there are some bugs and you can lose your progress, so save more often.

Неиграбельное дерьмо. Рваные текстуры, баганная камера, две механики на всю игру и максимально ебливый рандом, который не даёт словить последнюю рыбу для достижения. Достижения я, к слову, получил только после того как написал разработчикам на почту. Не рекомендую, тем более за деньги
