The gameplay is fine for a low budget space shooter. I'm specifically down voting because several achievements have been broken (aka won't trigger) for years. The game counts in your stats and it's aggravating not to be able to 100% the game simply because achievements you earn don't trigger.
I'll happily change my review to a thumbs up if the dev ever gets around to finally fixing this.

Классический шутер в стиле bullet hell, где я управлял небольшим кораблём и пытался выжить под шквалом вражеских снарядов. Игра сразу бросает вызов: экшен начинается стремительно, и каждый уровень превращается в напряжённое сражение.
Однако после нескольких уровней стало ясно, что контент ограничен. Противники выглядят однотипно, а механика практически не меняется. Чувствуется нехватка оригинальности и свежих идей. Управление довольно отзывчивое, хотя в динамичных ситуациях иногда возникали проблемы с точностью.
Графика выполнена в неоновом стиле и смотрится эффектно, особенно на фоне хаотичных сражений. Звуковое сопровождение бодрое, но быстро начинает надоедать из-за повторяющихся треков.

Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side.
With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay.
After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like.
Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends.
Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together.
Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that.

I would like to talk directly about the shortcomings of the game. First of all, listening to the same music over and over again is really annoying. Although it seems like a small detail to put an extra soundtrack, it seriously changes the game experience. The second negative thing is the camera angle. So it doesn't seem to have a style that you are very comfortable with.
However, the colorful level designs and variety of weapons, health, and other features that can be improved make the game playable. I can say that it is a fun game that definitely deserves its price.
Incandescent is a twin stick shoot-em-up game which is very reminiscent of something like Geometry Wars 3D: Evolved.
Although the game is very cheap it's also not very good with many issues such as:
-Enemies spawning in without any indication. Most enemies spawn only at the edges so that's fine but there is one enemy type, the red turrets, which can spawn anywhere on the map making the incredibly frustrating.
-Enemy bullets being nearly indistinguishable from all the particles that fly from defeated enemies.
-A very simple music loop which gets boring and repetitive quick.
-The gameplay doesn't evolve and none of the enemies or bosses really require any special thought to defeat.
Overall I would not play this game and would rather buy Geometry Ward 3D: Evolved instead as it has the exact same gameplay and aesthetics except miles better.

Even for a buck fifty this is overpriced. It's not completely terrible, but it feels like one of the demo games that comes with a game creator program, which it may well be. I got to wave 28 on my first try and was bored for most of that. Only 3% of players make it past wave 20 according to steam achievements, which makes me wonder where all the positive reviews are coming from.
I don't want to give the developer too hard a time. As a 'my first game' it's okay. But as something to spend money on, no way. Needs more variety to the levels and a wider field of view. There are so many other better dual stuck shooters out there.

Одна мелодия (быстро надоедает), локальная таблица рекордов и та из трех букв (какой год на дворе?), 5 видов врагов, простенькие боссы у которых меняется только шкурка... Первый заезд 21 волна и уже захотелось вырубить. Второй заезд 48 волн и вырубил... Только потом увидел, что ачивки рассчитаны на 50 волн. В целом очень простенькая игра в которую можно 1-2 раза поиграть и была бы другая цена то поставил бы палец вниз... Но за такую цену вполне сносно. Если больше не во что играть, то можно и в это повтыкать немного.

If you've ever played Geometry Wars, you'll probably enjoy this game. While there are a few bugs where the game crashes, it’s still a fun experience overall. I really like the boss concept, shields, and the minimap, which add to the gameplay. The visuals could definitely be improved, and I think this game could be competitive with Geometry Wars if they were. Sometimes the power-ups seem overpowered, and a global leaderboard would be a great addition. Overall, it’s a solid game for the price, and definitely worth checking out!

Got a bunch of cheap games in a bundle, and most of it was overpriced shovel-ware that was worth significantly less than a dollar each. This game was the exception.
The gameplay loop is simple: shoot, avoid bullet, get powerup, and kill a boss every ten waves. Controls are pretty tight good for a fast paced twin stick shooter, but it does seem to favor the eight cardinal directions a bit (up, up-left, left, down-left, etc.) but it's not too much. You will likely get bored pretty quickly, but what do you expect for one dollar?
I'll quickly address issues I've seen from other reviews.
The music loop is short and simple, if this bothers you I suggest you mute the music and put on your own.
I've not had any frame issues or stuttering with this game, if you do I recommend you try verifying the integrity of your files and try restarting you computer. If those don't work then it's probably not going to be worth the time it takes to fix.
I've had less fun with some of the worse triple A titles I've played, but that statement doesn't have the weight it used to.
A fun, addictive game. Similar to the classic Asteroids, but with some cool upgrades.

I had great fun with this game, it's sorta like playing those old asteroids style games with a few small twists. Bosses and different power-ups. Definitely worth the small investment to get it.

"Incandescent" ist ein sehr kleiner Casual Shooter.
Mit einer Geschichte hält sich der Titel gar nicht erst auf. Wozu auch, denn das Spielprinzip ist denkbar einfach.
Wir haben eine rechteckige Spielfläche, die etwas größer ist als unser Bildschirm. Von den Ecken und Seiten kommen Wellen von Gegnern auf uns zu, die es abzuschießen gilt. Jeder Gegnertyp hat sein Angriffsmuster. Wir haben einen normalen Schuß sowie auch eine Smartbomb und einen Boost, sowie Standard-Powerups, die wir einsammeln können. Nach ein Paar Leveln kommt ein Bosskampf.
Sehr klassisch also. Man könnte das Spiel auch als Shoot ´em up ohne Sidescrolling bezeichnen. Wobei es durchaus ein wenig Scrolling gibt, weil ja die Spielfläche etwas größer ist als der Bildschirm. Und das ist auch eine der Schwächen des Titels, denn manchesmal erkennen wir durch das träge Scrolling Gegner zu spät.
Ästhetisch sind wir im extrem klassischen Stil. Alle Sprites sind eher geometrische Formen denn wirkliche Schiffsmodelle. Space Invaders in bunt sozusagen. Prinzipiell paßt das wunderbar zum Genre. Ein kleines Problem ergibt sich nur durch die Menge an Schiffen, Schüssen und Explosionen. Gerade letztere sind recht bunt und können gegnerisches Feuer schwer erkennbar machen.
Glücklicherweise ist das Game recht verzeihend. Wir sterben nicht sofort, wenn wir mal ein paar Schüsse abkriegen.
Die Musik ist passend simpel, loopt aber leider zu schnell.
Die Steuerung ist direkt und intuitiv. Sowohl mit Gamepad als auch mit Maus und Tastatur funktioniert alles recht problemlos. Und das ist auch das wesentliche Argument für den Titel: er spielt sich gut.
Der Umfang ist übersichtlich, die Variationen gering, aber für Zwischendurch macht es durchaus Laune, ein wenig rumzuballern. Und für einen günstigen Preis unter einem Euro kann man kaum mehr verlangen.

um jogo simples e divertido para pegar as conquistas
Incandescent é um joguinho de nave simplista e bem padrão.
Inimigos surgem aleatoriamente na sua tela e você tem que destruir todos eles para ir para a próxima onda.
Seguem os pontos positivos (+) e negativos (-):
+ Simples de jogar, sem segredo nenhum;
+ Graficamente agradável;
+ Preço bem barato e tem cartas;
- A câmera fica muito próxima da nave, então é bem difícil de desviar das naves;
- Tem pouca variedade de upgrades, e todos eles são temporários;
- Os tiros das naves inimigas são rápidos demais, bem mais que os da nossa nave;
- Os inimigos não surgem só dos cantos da tela, tem alguns que simplesmente surgem do seu lado atirando;
- Os controles são meio ruins, fica até difícil de pegar os upgrades;
Pois bem, o destaque do jogo é ser um game simples e bom para passar um tempo se você gostar do gênero.
Caso contrário, NÃO RECOMENDO.
"Раскаленный" (en. Incandescent) - это еще один космический инди-доживастик с парового дна.
Основная цель игры - набить как можно больше очков через уничтожение недружелюбных неоновых кораблей/штуковин для попадания на локальную доску рекордов.
Плюсы:
+ визуальная составляющая, завязанная на яркости окружающих объектов;
+ 6 видов противников и 1 босс;
+ система выпадения помогающих бонусов и бомб;
+ работающая доска рекордов и расширенная сводка о забеге.
Минусы:
- сложность игры зависит не от вашей [strike]кривости[/strike] меткости, а лишь от поддерживаемого разрешения экрана вашего монитора.
В режиме 1440p у нас на устройстве видеовывода помещается почти вся зона боевых действий (пруф: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0PsPVym4a2k&t=1447s ). Т.е. мы видим практически всех врагов и откуда они спавнятся.
В 1080p - вмещается около 1/3~1/4 игровой зоны (пруф из магазина: https://steamcdn-a.akamaihd.net/steam/apps/380550/ss_14b7995727513aa4d54ae30b316b60686e15b95c.jpg?t=1572351176 ). Обзор становится ограниченным, т.е. неприятных неожиданностей становится больше, а видимых зон для уклонения - меньше.
В 720p по личным ощущениям вмещается около 1/8 площади арены. Выполнить ачивку на прохождение 50-ти волн с такой настройкой крайне проблематично.
- враги могут спавниться в миллиметре от нас и сразу же атаковать;
- примитивно действующий босс всего один, просто каждый раз в 10 волн он появляется в одном из 5 обликов;
- арена тоже всего одна (и крайне мала, если Вы могете в 2K+);
- наш корабль дергано меняет направление движения (нет анимации и плавности), его пушка незаметно для глаз разворачивается раз в волну, а сопло смещено куда-то влево;
- всё музыкальное сопровождение - это зацикливание одного 7-секундного отрезка;
- через 15 проведенных минут в игре Вы уже ничего нового не увидите, а вот на все ачивки нужно будет еще около получаса потратить.
Итоги: заманчиво выглядящий проект с тривиальным концептом, убитый дисбалансной механикой и посредственной сопроводительной начинкой.

C'est un petit jeux agréable à jouer, ni trop dur ni trop facile suivant les niveaux.
Avec notre vaisseaux l'ont dois tuer tout les ennemis sur la carte, en évitant leur tirs, explosion à leur mort, et nous pouvons ramasser des sortes de 'caisses' pour booster temporairement nos armes, ou autre comme par exemple tirer plusieurs balles au lieu d'une seule. Il y as quand même plusieurs niveaux.
The moment to moment game play is good, but only for a while. The game get tiring/boring really quick.
All achievements are pretty easy.

Incandescent is a decent twin-stick shooter that takes after the far superior Geometry Wars. I don't fault the game for being a close copy with enemies that closely resemble the same ones in GW. It was still a fun game to play for a bit and I had earned all the achievements within an hour. For $1 the game is worth it's price.

Como esse estilo de jogo não cansa!
Um jogo relativamente simples com muito efeito e sem frescuras.
Dentro da simplicidade do jogo o desenvolvedor não economizou nos adversários e objetivos.
Único ponto fraco e nunca saber quando é adversário ou quando e itens p melhorar os sua nave.
Um passatempo interessante.

Incandescent é um jogo arcade, onde você controla uma nave e tem que abater outras, wave por wave, contendo alguns boss ou outro no meio do caminho.
A jogabilidade do game é ate boa pra um game de pouco mais de dois reais, as waves são diferenciadas e contem alguns poucos modos de tiros pra sua nave.
Minha nota para o game é : 8/10 , o preço e bom e acessivel pra qualquer um, a jogabilidade é legalzinha, as conquistas não são exageradas e ainda dropa algumas cartas, vale a pena comprar e se divertir por algumas horas !!
A twin stick arena shooter in the vein of Geometry Wars One and Two however the scrolling of the play field kills the game. As another viewer said you need to get very close to the edge for the play field to scroll which causes visibility issues. Most of the achievements are easily obtainable. The game does support steam cloud though not Steam leaderboards which is a huge issue in this genre.
Feels like a poor mans Geometry wars. The game is okay but wont makes me dislike it is the hit box's are off, loop music is annoying, and the camera angle. The camera angle really destroys the game.
