I spent a fair amount of money on this game, including on a paid feature that does not work as advertised. I contacted the developer through the only support email provided and got no response at all.
The game can be fun in its genre until you start spending money on it, but it has a lot of bugs, and as many other players have mentioned, there is NO CSUTOMER SUPPORT at all. That is unacceptable for a game where players can spend this much money.
Very disappointing. I honestly do not understand how this game is still being sold on Steam and other stores in this condition.

I've been stuck in world six for weeks now, I can understand slowing things down until a new world releases but like... world seven has been out for a while and I'm barely over half way there. I have no faith I will reach world seven by the time NEXT YEAR(2027) is over.

Dodge this game like the plague, yes the game is good, but the predatory and awful business practices that the dev uses is not worth it the somewhat enjoyable gameplay.
The game itself showed potential—it was fun. It felt like a passion project. Now... it's just your average business being a business. There are other ways to have fun without reaching relentlessly for your wallet.

This game, which I have almost 4000 hours into has changed into a ever evolving cash grab. Every single week it seems is some new P2W mechanic that I cannot afford to keep up with.
The recently added pet tournament was a god awful joke, its all about how much money you spent on pets in order to win the competition, then the dev makes it so the winner gets some exclusive FOMO item for the grand prize winner and the pets are starting to become exclusive (Better buy it now before its forever gone!) B.S.
There are bugs upon bugs that need to be addressed, but no we get Ahab's quest for cash.

Legends of IdleOn is a genuinely fun idle game that’s well worth playing. I used to grab the occasional bundle, but after World 7 the bundles became constant. The game itself is great — just be careful with purchases, as they can add up fast. Gamblers should avoid it; the constant dopamine hits from chance and rewards make it easy to overspend

Très dense niveau contenu, mais beaucoup trop d'importance au niveau de la quantité astronomique de dépenses qui offrent des avantages que les joueurs free-to-play ne pourront jamais avoir.
Aussi, plus on avance plus chaque jour devient une longue liste de corvées à faire avec jusqu'à 10 persos, donc je ressors mitigé. En tout cas je ne suis pas certain de trouver une raison pour recommander le jeu au final.

Un énorme paquet de minijeux qui donnent des bonus les uns aux autres. Ca tient en haleine pendant très, très longtemps. Et on peut y jouer entièrement gratuitement, tous les bonus que l'on peut payer peuvent être acquis progressivement en jouant.

just saw an achievement for not playing for 2 years. since it's been 4 i thought i'd redownload and get it. nope. some stupid tutorial wouldn't let me log in until i completed it, and once i did i try to log in with email and couldn't. so i tried again. code already used. okay, let's try steam. nope. no character?? i know i had one. lame.
Tbh the game i used to love is now not much more then a cash cow for Lava, the game grows more and more p2w every update even clash royal pales in comparison, the predatory methods used in events for players to waste more money on the game range from scratch tickets to plinko and probably more soon, other then this the game is very well made and i would recommend it.
Simple design, but with more than enough content to satisfy the gamer in me. If you do not have enough time to commit to MMO's and are looking for an idler to fill the gap, This should be your game of choice.
Since it's an idler you actually need to be afk/ logged off for some of the game objectives. And, that's perfect for those of us who can no longer dedicate time to play a massive MMO without feeling left behind because we aren't logged in for half the day anymore.
The game itself is free to play. There is a bit of pay to play, but you really don't need to do that either. Since the developer does holiday events that can get you the gems you need to buy things in the shop as well. So again, it "pays" to wait and accumulate things slowly :)

На момент написания в игре есть шесть с половиной "миров". Изначально Лава (разработчик) обещался выпустить 7 мир целиком в ноябре 2025. Потом он нарисовал новую красивую "дорожную карту" и заявил, что будет выпускать контент частями, но при этом к концу года он выдаст "150%" седьмого мира. Сейчас уже практически апрель, и выпущена примерно половина карт и два из трех скиллов. Казалось бы, какая разница, ведь игра бесплатная, было бы очень странно что-то требовать от разработчика. Я и не требую, просто это отличный пример того, что происходит с игрой. Итак, первый пункт:

[*]Донат
До выхода 6 мира в игре было примерно 17 донатпаков, дающих преимущества. Стоили они от пяти до двадцати американских рублей, и давали чаще всего относительно небольшие бонусы, и только некоторых из них бустили аккаунт целиком. С момента выхода 6 мира Лава навалил уже не менее 30 паков, цена которых достигает уже 30 баксов, а суммарная стоимость превысила уже тысячу (!). Практически каждый, даже маленький апдейт, сопровождается новым паком, который дает уже шапочку на +50% опыта одному персонажу, а жирные бонусы типа множителей дропа и урона на весь аккаунт. Большая часть усилений от паков не аддитивные, а мультипликативные, и дают таким образом резкий рост относительно фтп.
[*]Петы
Когда игру начало заваливать донатпаками, также была введена система питомцев. Все они дают бонусы на весь аккаунт, и наиболее редкие из них дают очень жирные плюшки типа тех же мультипликаторов. Часть из них покупается только вместе с паками, и все они продаются за отдельную валюту, которые нельзя получить никаким иным образом, кроме как за деньги.
Фтп игроки могут раз в неделю крутануть гачу в надежде получить пета из выбранного списка. Новые петы, добавленные с паками, в эти списки не входят, также нет никакой защиты от повторов, так что желаю удачи, чо.
Списки петов вдобавок еще и пропадают время от времени из доступа, эксплуатируя ФОМО-механики.
Ну и нельзя не упомянуть историю про легендарного Дута - пета, дающего возможность иметь на всех персонажах бонусы всех богов 5 мира одновременно. Без него бонус может быть только один, на одном из классов - два. Позже в игру в эндгейм была добавлена возможность "подключить" еще двух, но это все равно даже не близко к бонусу Дута. Получить этого пета можно с вероятностью 0.28%. После ревьюбомбинга со стороны возмущенного комьюнити, была добавлена система "гарантированного" получения этого пета. После 200 попыток. [b]200 недель.[/b]
Спустя более чем год с момента введения питомцев Лава ввел систему торговли, и радостно назвал это решением проблемы (которую сам же и создал). Петами теперь можно обмениваться, но, при этом, торговать можно только питомцами, полученными за донат. Бесплатно полученные питомцы торговле не подлежат.
[*]Нарушенные обещания
Я уже привел выше пример с разработкой 7 мира, когда нарушаются поставленные самим же со всеуслышанье сроки. Но это безобидный вариант. Изначально игра в своем описании на странице в магазине имела такой текст (вольный перевод):
[i]"Никаких корпоративных бизнес практик - так как игра разрабатывается одним человеком, и мне не нужно накручивать показатели для акционеров и выплачивать бонусы директорам. Не нужно полагаться на хищнические бизнес-схемы, и можно просто сфокусироваться на создании свободного от всего этого игрового опыта с ежемесячными обновлениями."[/i]
Это описание было удалено из магазина (скриншотик, если Лава до него еще не добрался, сохранили в галерее игры в стиме), так как эти самые "хищнические бизнес-схемы" были введены в полном объеме. ФОМО, гача, недоступная кроме как за деньги валюта, дикие бонусы, все это. И раз уж поднята тема "соло-разработчика", перейдем к следующему пункту.
[*]Разработчик
Лава - талантливый художник, но свою "соло-разработку" он местами не вывозит. Отсюда срывы самим им же поставленных сроков для обновлений, а также годами не исправляемые баги (переполнения переменных, из-за которых обнуляются статы и т.д.). Как пример, совсем недавно даже делался откат у [b]всех[/b] игроков полученных ими из sailing'а артефактов последнего, свежевведенного тира, потому что Лава ошибся с шансами их получения.
Но ошибки - это, опять же, самое безобидное. За любое обсуждение P2W, даже небольшую критику, на реддите или официальном дискорде прилетает бан. В стиме это делать сложнее, но даже тут под недавний "релиз" игры проходила манипуляция отзывами, чтобы вывести их выше 80% (пруфов тут не предоставлю, для этого нужно записи стримов пересматривать). Более того, Лава даже угрожал судом как минимум одному стримеру (IdleManeZed), "за клевету" (за критику p2w), а также забанил по той же причине основного контрибьютора официальной вики по игре, и это только из того, что я знаю. При желании можно почитать отзывы и посты на форуме и найти еще примеров. ЧСВ Лавы не поддается исчислению, но это уже переход на личности, поэтому не буду.
[*]Уже-не-Idle-on
С вводом мастер-классов игра все больше требует постоянного онлайна. Плюшки от этих классов как минимум несколько месяцев не имеют возможности оффлайн-фарма, и даже с его появлением не раскрываются в полной мере без активной игры. Например, призмы у Arcane Cultist в оффлайне не выбить, специальное снаряжение для Windwalker и Arcane Cultist фармится только в онлайне и так далее. Все ивенты (которые сами по себе незамутненная гача и казино) стимулируют тебя держать игру сутками открытой, потому что за это даются бесплатные крутки, и без них "джекпот" (жирнющие аккаунт-бонусы) тебе не полутать без вбрасывания тонн валюты. Последнее на данный момент добавленное в игру умение (Research) в оффлайне растет со скоростью 10% от нормальной. Делается это с целью вывести игру в топ онлайна в стиме и привлечения бОльшей аудитории для дойки донатов. Схема работает, потому что игра попадала в топ 20 по выручке.
[*]Баланс и соревновательная игра
Возмущения о все более растущем разрыве между "китами" и фтп игроками можно было бы парировать тем, что игра не является соревновательной. Но Лава ввел (и всячески пиарит на каждом стриме, и не только) такую вещь, как "Том" - механику, в которой тебя сравнивают с другими игроками по множеству разных показателей, и в зависимости от места в топе дающую различные бонусы к статам. Также с последним на данный момент патчем в игру добавили "турнир петов", в котором донатеры имеют явное преимущество (ты, не будучи "китом", никогда не соберешь всех петов). [b]Пока еще[/b] за победы даются только косметические бонусы, но веры Лаве уже давно никакой нет.
Также все больше и больше проявляются проблемы с балансировкой игры, ведь пропасть между игроками растёт все быстрее.

Продолжать этот список можно еще долго, но, думаю, достаточно. Обратите только внимание, что основная часть обоснованных негативных отзывов идет именно от игроков, изучивших игру. А положительные отзывы пишутся в основном теми, кто еще не успел столкнуться с хищнической сутью этого казино, выдающего себя за айдл-игру.

Но всплывающие на половину экрана баннеры, и платная возможность их отключить - это крайне наплевательская к игроку практика. Не говоря уже о том, что донат даëт множество преимуществ и QoL-элементов.

Some achievements are softlocked if you don/t get them first time, no way to reset account or have another chance to redo sections or undo softlocks to achievement. No way of knowing what is and isn't a softlock without looking it up. I wish steam had a way to get rid of games and the achievements along with them as an option cause my average completion even if I delete this game and finish everything in my steam library will never reach 100%. ♥♥♥♥ this game, hope the developer either fixes this or steam gives an option. Would not want my worst enemies to have to deal with this garbage.
I admit it is embarrassing, being one of those people with so much time in the game, yet not recommending it.
I could say that the large majority of those hours were simply leaving the game open. Idling. But outside of that, I have put significant time and mental expenditure in the game regardless.
The truth is, the game has changed significantly over time.
I was initially hooked by the pixel art, Maplestory inspiration, and intertwined systems.
But like so many things in this world, greed and and echo chambers have transformed not only the game, but seemingly the creator himself.
It has become a casino of shallow financial exploitation. Gambling. Dark FOMO patterns. Addictive hooks. Everything wrong with our digital lives, all shown in display everywhere you go.
And otuside of it, discussions in Discord and Reddit, are completely squashed. There is no space for real criticism.
What allowed me to finally quit was the question:
"Where can I put this time and energy instead? What is the opportunity cost?"
Please ask yourself the same. Life is too short.
Good game. Cheaper than other freemium games, a new player can progress well if he minmaxes. Would recommend if you like gacha-esque, exponential idle games.

I've been playing for about 18 months and love this game. It's the definition of what an idle game should be IMO.
Most of my play time is on Android (cross saves exist, can play same account from Steam and mobile).
It's not pay to "win", there's no PVP, there's nothing to "win". However, if you choose, you can pay to make progress much faster.

Do I have a lot of hours? Yes. Will I still play after this review? Probably. Still, don't recommend.
Our culture lionizes solo devs, and the scope of what the dev has done here is legitimately impressive. However, when you're solo, there's no one who can meaningfully tell you: "No, that's not a good idea." Many of the additions over the past 5 months (and prior) **feel bad** Namely, PETS. No one is as excited about pets as the developer is. For context, pets provide stats and mechanics bonus and you gain them through two mechanics: a F2P weekly pull gacha, and purchasable (directly or through a separate gacha currency. The purchasable ones are not available in the F2P pulls)
The F2P gacha feels awful. It's got no F2P pity, and it will give you the same 3 pets as you roll weekly for the coveted .2% win. (And even these now are largely eclipsed by other bonuses and mechanics).
The number of purchasable pets has skyrocketed over the past month, with each (weekly) update coming with 1-4 new pets. In the mechanics of the game, each pet introduces a power-creeping bonus. However, the developer's goal is to build out a genuinely uninteresting Pet PVP mechanic to drive interest and purchases. This arena is you watch (or more accurately, skip) to see in a random match-up who's a) spent more money and b) more lucky. These purchasable pet packs are new content you don't get unless you pay, $20-30 per, (or you can trade using other only pay-for pets). You can come up with all sorts of valid reasons to justify or hate this decision, but in my book, it takes advantage of FOMO in a manipulative way.
The extent of creative work is clear in this game, but future roadmapping is clearly focused on driving FOMO vs interesting new mechanics. And that feels terrible. I hope that he'll change course, but low expectations on that front.

I can unfortunately not recommend this game anymore. It used to be fun, you had the option to pay some money here and there for small buffs and mostly visual stuff to show off with while still getting an additive amount of buff. Now it seem every single week there are 100$ worth of packs that you can only get with real world money and cannot pay with the old and outdated Blue Gems that you are able to slowly farm by playing the game or buy with real world money if you want to speed things up. This is ridiculous, the amount of gambling and RNG that the game likes to do with your real money is also insane.
Be advised that if you play start playing this game, you cannot be the type of person easily affected by Fomo or the type that would spend their life savings on gacha.
For the last year or so, it has only gone worse and worse and I simply stopped buying anything in the game and playing as a single player mode for the most part, not trying to compete with my old pals from the guild (who most of them have stopped playing or are quitting due to the agressive monetization methods).
I cannot recommend.

The introduction on the Pet Markt is the beginning of the end.
Going from 10-20$ packs to 35$ for a single pet is absurd and not justifiable whatsoever.
A few years back he'd claim he'd never make a P2W game.
Nowadays you can't progress as intended if you don't buy every single pack he releases (almost weekly at this point, especially if you count the new pets being released also).
How is it okay to introduce pet boosts that give you a x2 bonus (example: 2x Research gains + 10 Research points)? F2P players or non-whales will never be able to catch up, which is somewhat disgusting.
In addition to all of this, he decided to release new event pets to add a bit of FOMO ; perfect to stir sh*t up a tiny bit more. And of course, those pets are unobtainable when F2P, which means you gotta spend at least 15$ for a piece of garbage pet.
How amazing.
Overall, this game has been fun, even if it has always been anything but an idle game. Sadly, recently, it has gotten downhill. The prices and the FOMO are one thing, but the fact that the dev keeps pushing his playerbase to active 24/7 to up his numbers on Steam just sucks.
How is it normal that I must active day and night on an IDLE game to get the fastest progress (see AFK gains in Research).
It really feels like the dev wants to portray himself as a kind person, even giving free pets every hour to his player base (as part of an event). Then you realize that to have a chance to get that pet, you must be active 24/7. Another trick to get people to stay logged in and buff the stats.
This game used to be fun and the packs were a nice small boost. Today, if you can't pay, you can't progress. It became a must, and a pricey one.
I don't think I would recommend this game to any new player, as it would just end up as a money pit. And for the "older players", I think it became a wake up call to stop spending so much money on this game. It wouldn't surprise me to see the player base drop, as it really feels like a stab in the back.
The review I didn't want to write, but here goes.
For context, I've played IdleOn for almost 5 years, with almost all hours on Android, account level 8600+. I always loved the game, but I've finally decided that enough is enough, and I do not recommend playing this game anymore.
It has become a predatory pay-to-win game, with new "rewards" that push you to play actively so IdleOn gets higher concurrent player numbers on Steam. On top of that, PvP mechanics are heavily dominated by whales, and it just isn't fun anymore. Long story below...
I liked IdleOn for what it was, not what it has become. I always played solo, even started a solo guild, but eventually joined a bigger guild for the extra benefits. That’s where I first learned who Lavaflame2 actually is.
Long story short, there was an issue between him and the guild owner (who was a content creator at the time), which escalated and resulted in the guild owner no longer being able to continue playing after his account was effectively bricked. The guild remained active, but was repeatedly renamed to things like "Leaf gang" (which I interpreted as "leave the game").
Nevertheless, I ignored it and kept playing, until I finally decided enough is enough. There were ups and downs—pets were added and were extremely overpowered, trading got introduced (not really for me as a solo player), and global player scores made it very clear how dominant whales are. The latest updates, especially PvP and activity-based systems, pushed this even further.
Promoting active play just to boost concurrent player numbers is not what I signed up for, and it's one of the reasons I decided to quit.
I loved the game for what it was: grinding while inactive so you never lose progress, even when offline. A great progression system where every login felt rewarding, fun bosses, minigames, and unique PvE systems. Each world has its own twist, and the quests were funny and enjoyable. I also always appreciated that there were no ads.
But all of that no longer outweighs what the game has become.
I've invested almost 5 years into IdleOn and supported it by buying several packs, which used to be great value. Lately though, packs have become so OP that the game clearly leans into pay-to-win and that's where I'm out.
It was a good run.

Да, местами игра требует терпения и может показаться слишком сложной для новичка, но если вы любите долгий прогресс, развития аккаунта то "IdleOn" точно стоит попробовать.
