Возможно где-то там, в будущем игра себя раскрыла бы, но у меня нет желания мучатся, что бы где-то там получить удовольствие. Есть множество достойных игр, где это всё есть сразу или с логическим постепенным развитием.

Icarus is a challenging but rewarding survival experience, especially in the early game. The learning curve is steep, but once you get into the rhythm, it becomes a fantastic time‑killer. The variety of storms keeps you on your toes, and you really do have to respect the environment.
That said, it can feel a bit isolated at times. I understand the immersive angle, but having optional AI prospectors either friendly or hostile, would add life to the world. It’s also a shame the game isn’t cross‑platform, as that would open it up to more co‑op opportunities, having recently moved back to PC it's one my console friends would of loved to play together.
Overall, it delivers a tense and atmospheric survival/crafting experience.

The game has too many problem is be enjoyable, constantly getting stuck on everything and any object trying to do physics is a buggy mess. The jumping is perhaps the worst i have ever seen, you often find yourself unable to move over a small lip in a surface and having to jump over it, only to find jumping is inconsistent and often just throws you into the air slightly with no inheritance of motion, its extremely frustrating. Building is extremely janky and even after 70 hours of gameplay I still can't get things to go together easy or intuitively, and if the piece isnt placed perfect it will break and you lose that piece.
Map is almost completely empty, and if the empty bits and sections of the map you can't access were taken out, the game would only take maybe 15h to play, but because its grindy (extremely so late game) you are forced into endless back and forth trips where you are doing little more than holding shift and forward and trying to not get stuck on every tree and log you come across, again really frustrating.
All the animals appear to have to exact same programming, only their appearance differs, its most hilarious to watch wolves jump around like deer. Speaking of animals they have modeled in game a European Bison, but its labeled as a Buffalo. How do you look up and model the animal then call it the wrong thing, there are several species of Bison as well as Buffalo, they are completely different animals and quite a bit different species, they don't even look alike. Without definitions words have no meaning.
There are MUCH better open world survival games out there but the real killer of this one for me is their DLC policy. They release core gameplay as DLC and combined its about 180$ for the whole pack and even on sale about 90$. This is INSANE for what you get. Even though it could be a good game, it never will because its meant as a pump and dump for people who are fans of the genera and think they are getting Valheim or Ark and instead get this broken buggy mess of a game.

cooles game der Start ist allerdings etwas verwirrend da die erste quest in der open world "Baue ein kontakt gerät" welches man erst mal im technikbaum erforschen muss. Sobald man aber eisenwerkzeuge hat wird es deutlich leichter und macht dann auch richtig spaß.

Um dos melhores jogos de sobrevivência que já joguei. O grande diferencial, na minha opinião, está na variedade de missões e na necessidade constante de tomar decisões estratégicas: o que levar, o que priorizar e até onde vale se arriscar para concluir cada objetivo mais rápido. Isso por si só já é uma camada extra de diversão.
O jogo consegue equilibrar bem o desafio — ele te deixa tenso em vários momentos, mas sem ser injusto ou frustrante. É aquele tipo de dificuldade que te prende e te motiva a continuar tentando.
Existe uma enorme quantidade de itens, construções e possibilidades. Mesmo depois de mais de 90 horas jogadas, ainda sinto que não explorei tudo, o que aumenta muito a longevidade do game.
No geral, o custo-benefício é excelente pelo tanto de conteúdo e horas de diversão que entrega. Ainda assim, se puder pegar em promoção, a sensação de “valeu ainda mais a pena” fica melhor.

Играть открытый мир в принципе интересно, но бросается в глаза насколько оно сырое. Скачешь на коне, не заметил в траве бревно - конь к нему прилип. По миру разбросаны пещеры, но они все шаблонные. Но больше всего убивают баги: пошёл выполнять задание с радаром, а на отметке радара стоит каменная балка с базы. Вернулся на базу, а там вместе с балкой пропала ещё и печь со всеми слитками. Бэкапить сейвы не буду, игру нафиг с диска.

many have said this before and i'll join the chorus, steam needs a middle option between the static "yes" and "no".
it's an ok mission based survival game. one thing i've never been able to reconcile with is the- well, everything really. the whole premise of the game. "muh immersion" but unironically. you're reminded of it constantly no matter what you're doing. you're supposed to be on a terraformed planet that has mishappen alien creatures, yet the only alien creatures are cave worms that die when you glare at them. (i do see a boss looking worm on the store page, but i've never seen it in game) every other animal is just a regular animal found on regular earth. (i'm even seeing that added bulls that pull carts? why not some cool alien creature? where are they?)
the main thing: the atmosphere.
if there's no breathable oxygen on the planet, how are said animals alive? (and if they're meant to be alien, why do they give regular meat you can buy at the store?) how can fires start? they kind of need oxygen to be able to live past the initial spark and spread. how can there be any kind of earth-like plant life if the atmosphere is toxic? how can we drink water from the planet and be fine but can't breath the air? and how in the absolute ♥♥♥♥ do we get a lung infection from caves despite having space suits with an enclosed air filtration system??? this is the main thing that pulls me out of the experience, and as much as i try to ignore it, it's constantly in my face.
everything from here on are issues and oddities i remember from my time playing.
the mission progression.
early on, it's fine. but a lot of the longer missions just require a lot of waiting around. the stockpile missions being a prime example. can't speed up food production, you can only make planters. for most of the mission you're just sat twiddling your thumbs while you wait, where as all the missions before and after those go at a break neck pace and usually never take longer than half an hour - an hour to complete. i haven't seen how the end game missions so i have no idea if this gets better or worse.
in conjunction with the progression: the crafting stations.
straight up you're never going to get to use 90% of them, and you can forget about trying to get electrical stations going. i can count the amount of times i've needed to use the electric stations on one hand in all of my 202 hours of playtime.
the skill tree(s).
perplexing. the solo trees are over-powered, and the main multiplayer trees also work in single player for some reason, making any build overly busted. the solo trees don't work in multiplayer though. why? (knife tree best tree btw, it can do everything but mine ore and is the best way to hunt and kill anything in the game.) i'm not asking for these to be nerfed, i just find how it works very odd. some of the multiplayer trees seem down right useless. bonus ore and stone? absolutely they're needed in abundance every mission. bonus wood from trees that are in every direction? outside of the niche desert or snow spawn locations, nah. more meat from animals that spawn endlessly around you? even without the over-powered hunting knife, why?
the building system.
it's very archaic and for most missions you'll get by with just a wooden shack, rarely dipping into stone building. there's no incentive to make something look nice for the short mission you're on as it'll be wiped when you finish it, and it makes the longer missions even longer. with how little you get paid per mission, it's better to complete them as fast as possible so you don't end up wasting your premium tool durability gathering stone and wood for you mansion. the system shines the most in the long term building maps but those don't pay you anything, and last time i played, if you character was on one, they couldn't deploy into a mission.
and then there's the exotics. oh god, the exotics.
the process of getting them outside of missions rewards is a painful slog. remember the waiting around thing? yeah, that but with extra steps and it's even longer. you need to make a scanner for the ore deposit, get a biofuel supply chain going, make a drill, and then make the hardest decision ever. do you move base and setup around the ore so you don't have to travel far and can babysit the drill consistently, or, you can go deeper into the crafting stations to get an electric drill, and have to babysit the generator instead, (apparently there's more options to power the electric drills now, great.) hoping the vein doesn't dry up after the 15th exotic? or, do you accept the long hauls to and from the drill, backpack filled with biofuel to swap out for the few, very heavy exotics that you must now lug back to your drop ship. "tedious" doesn't begin to describe either of these options.
steam says i last played july 2025. i'm surprised i remember most of what i've written. these have been the biggest pain points during my time playing. i'm willing to try the game again and see if it's improved in these aspects, from what little i've looked up and seen in the updates, that seems to be the case for some of them. i do think my main criticism of the games premise still holds and will continue to until drastic world building changes are made.

Da kann sich der ein oder andere Entwickler eine Scheibe abschneiden. Für das Spiel kommen immer regelmäßig Updates mit neuen Inhalten Spiele es seit am Anfang bin bis jetzt zufrieden und kann es bedenkenlos weiterempfehlen.
By the time I took my first steps on Icarus, I had missed out on the era where the game's fundaments were extractionlike and the maps made prior to prometheus still feel very disjointed in that you weren't really meant to use the whole thing as a play area. That being said, that playstyle is still there for you to enjoy. A lotta the quests on those maps feel really easy to outpace when on an open world longplay session bc they were designed to be built up within, wheras having a longform base to build up in with infinite time lets you very easily outgun the challenges presented in those missions.
Overall though it's a pretty peaceful game at times and there's a lot of fun to be had in making your own pathways depending on where you set up. Nowadays I feel spoiled by fast travel systems so there's not many games that give me a sense of coming home when I see landmarks near my camp after a long trek of gathering rocks and doing missions. I'm also blessed to have ppl to enjoy the game with, which really drives home the game's theming and vibe. You're part of a team, there to prospect funky rocks on a terraforming project gone wrong.
250 hours in and I feel the game's strengths despite not yet playing on any of the new maps that were MADE for open-world playstyle. Those maps are handcrafted with incentives to venture around the whole planet. Styx and Olympus can more or less be "completed" in a single biome. But there really is just that much replayability even if you end up doing the oldest stuff a few times, because the game's foundational structure was keen to have those areas replayable for meta progression.
My only real gripe involves a mechanic that's basically an upgrade system. "Modules" are basically stat boost items you can slot into ur gear, namely your suit and armor. Suit Modules are what's really important here tho, bc a lot of your reward currency can go into them as some of the most meaningful upgrades you can get. The problem is there's a lot of modules, not every suit can even use them and most have 2 slots, and so many of the modules (and even a couple of the suits) are really useless or just plain hella dated. If by some twist of fate this humble review gets an odd Dev's Eye, please consider giving a pass on all of the suits and modules to streamline it into a more coherent and rewarding system. I can tell there's a semblance of specialization in there but the fact of the matter for it really is that there are just too many options that feel like noob traps. There's always going to be a meta but you could at least try to not have the best choices not be wholly obvious !
All n all really damn good Survival game and truly one of a kind in many ways :3
Also basically every single week for ages they've added a little bit of content so you're basically always getting something new every week even if it's not something you personally will use. They just added Bull Carts which I feel like was an update just for me because I like taking care of and having a lot of animals lol

This game is ass. Pure trashy ass. And not the good ass, but the went to the gym for four hours doing a full workout and then heading over to a taco bell buffet to make some gains, and then going home and not showering kind of ass.
I repeat pretty much the sentiments of what other reviewers have said in the negative reviews section:
-boring
-repetitive
-almost everything locked behind INSANELY expensive DLC
-no fast travel
-the age old stupid "stamina" mechanic
-weird unfixed stuff like mining a tall rock leaves a gap between the top and the bottom of the boulder and somehow the top levitates with nothing holding it up...meanwhile your guy in the space suit can't jump higher than two inches.
It's too bad because with some fixing and tweaks, and normal dlc pricing, it could be way better. The only way I've made it bearable is using cheats/trainers, mostly for xp boost and removing the stupid stamina mechanic, and since there's no fast travel - increasing player speed when necessary.
My friend on the other hand is really enjoying himself in the game. To him it's more of a build stone buildings simulator. He's built some cool building layouts and it is kind of neat but that can only go on for so long.

I played for 2 hours and I am debating on refunding. I know I have not played enough to call it a review, but it is worth noting.
I have few hours in this game, and I believe it is below average.
1) I hate lore that make it similar to California gold rush in 19th century - We are send on planet on our own spending without any tools provided, with little hope to earn big $$$.
I don't bite that, exotics are needed by tech companies to further develop space travels, so there is initiative to make extraction on big scale, instead sending few Randoms without nothing, and no promises of any exotics be provided back, not mention of meeting demands of interstellar companies.
2) Tech tree, I don't get it why we are required to unlock tech, those should be pre-provided, and our progress should be limited by resource access (as most of sandbox games), not by how many wolfs we have killed.
There are some ridiculous positions in tech tree, like camp fire, or thatch building pieces, by all means, almost every body make at least one as kid. Any person that would sign for being prospector would rather pre-learn as much it is possible of things necessary for survival instead doing it the hard way.
Also, game is literally splitting hairs with this tech tree: every building material is split on to 2 or 3 positions - basic, advanced and railings, with glass windows being separated from glass walls. The greatest offense is splitting electric bulb lights into 8 positions in total.
3) Pre-generated world - World looks fine, but that kills/limits replayablity, random resource nodes don't compensate that, also every cave looks the same. It's pre-generated world but I'm getting stuck every 5 min in forest on random bushes or fallen branches and need to chop them to free myself.
While the game is amazing on many levels and initial progress feels great, but the meaningful progress is gated by an absurd currency system that is an unenjoyable grind of the least fun mechanics in the game.

I think Icarus has achieved a great balance with building, crafting, and missions. I find my self getting totally immersed in the game play. So far, 200 plus hours of game play and some of those session are 6 hours + at a time. Its also great that the developers keep adding content. I would definitely recommend this game!

If you like open-world collecting, building, surviving, with friends or on your own, this is an ideal game for you. Multiple biomes and interesting characters that you meet along the way. This game will give you thousands of hours of gameplay, experiencing new content all of the time. The devs keep sending improvements, bugfixes and will also listen to the players' ideas. You can join the discord, or post your idea on the website. Can be a tough challenge to get going in the beginning (depending what settings you select). But that's how it's meant to be!
I would buy the base game to try out, then if you like it - buy as much as you want! I fully intend to get thousands of hours out of the game. I prefer to play with friends, but in the beginning, I did a solo open world to get used to the way things worked - would recommend that if you're not familiar with these types of games.
There is a lot of help should you need it. F1 is a perfect place to start!

This game is a fantastic survival crafting game. I appreciate the attention to detail that the devs put in, and the fact that it's still being updated with new locations, new world bosses, and new stuff to create and do is really awesome. Plus, on top of all that, if you have any of the DLCs, your friends can participate in all of that content as long as they're playing on one of your worlds!

Very fun but insanely grindy, highly recommended if you like that kind of game and the most fun with friends. Whether it's fighting bears, riding horses and other animals or just goofing around you will have fun here if you like your survival games. The world is huge and the extent of the content is massive.

Me and my husband play this together on a open world. I love how we can build together without having player limits on the structures (he can add or subtract from a build and vice versa). There's TONS to do in this game without getting bored. We also got every single add on and map possible and it just opened up more to love about this game!

De lo peor que he jugado. No merece ni un céntimo. Lo llego a saber y me voy al "come y bebe" del Domino's Pizza. Si tienes aunque sea una duda a la hora de comprar entonces no lo compres. Creo que no hay peor inversión de dinero posible. El modo libre muy aburrido; el mundo de misiones peor incluso.

Easy One Bowl Fudgy Cocoa Brownies
Ingredients
▢1/2 cup butter, or oil
▢1 cup sugar, see note
▢1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa, preferably, dutch processed
▢2 large eggs
▢1 teaspoon vanilla
▢1/4 cup flour
▢1/4 tsp salt, leave out if using salted butter
▢1/2 cup favorite adds-ins , (chopped dark chocolate, chocolate chips or walnut)
Instructions
Pre-heat oven to 350F. Grease an 8x8 square pan or a 9x5 loaf pan or line with parchment or foil; set aside.
In a large microwave-safe mixing bowl, add the butter and microwave for 1 minute or until completely melted. Add the sugar and cocoa powder and whisk vigorously for at least a minute, until the sugar has dissolved.
Add eggs one at a time then vanilla and whisk for at least 1 minute, until well combined and batter is shiny.
Stir in flour and salt until the flour is fully combined. Be careful not to overmix mix.
(optional) fold in 1/2 cup of nuts, raisins, chocolate chips or anything you desire.
Spread in pan and bake for approximately 20 minutes or until the center is slightly set. Be careful not to over-bake!
Cool completely then cut into 9 large squares or 16 small squares ( I cut mine into 16)
