friends, if it isn't obvious. hello kitty island adventure was meant to be a mobile game. why do i know that? because it wasn't a nintendo switch game, which is the only other reason i could think to have a game with such a heinous progression system. so what else could it have been but a mobile game? i played this game on apple arcade for MONTHS for about $2 a month-- spending approximately $6.00 or so total-- to get the same amount of content that this game has. and you're telling me they're selling dlcs now?

TLDR: 4/5 Stars. Highly recommend if you are a patient person and like some good old brainless/brain-rot kind of gameplay. If you like to grind games in short spurts, this is for you. If you like to run through games in one sitting, maybe not the best fit.

Honestly, this is one of my favorite games right now. I have been looking for a game that gives me similar vibes to Palia with an Animal Crossing feel, and this is it. You can collect, explore, puzzle, build relationships, and even multitask. The amount of open world opportunities and different areas to explore is overwhelming but in the best way. I love the crafting for items and baking, even the espresso machine. Figuring out the best gift to give to villagers is one of my favorite puzzles to solve.

My only issues with this game are pretty nit picky though. The amount of things you can do and progress each day is limited. You give your gifts, complete your mini quests, collect your resources, maybe solve a puzzle or two, and then I'm bored til tomorrow. I can no longer progress for the rest of today on a huge story quest because I'm missing one Flour to make a certain baked good, because I made a whole bunch earlier in the day for fun and gifts. The only way to get it is to gift to My Melody and grab the one from Hello Kitty's Cafe each day. After that, it's a slim chance to find it elsewhere. The menu also could be better. I want to see all the things I have found displayed, maybe have a book with all the info instead of having to look up a wiki guide online. I understand a lot of this is to keep players coming back the next day, but I feel like the game could be much more enjoyable with more freedom of resources at LEAST. I don't think flour should be that difficult to obtain. While the rubber resource respawn rules are genuinely aggravating, I think it makes more sense if it is considered "rare". Other than that, everything else is great. I especially love the critters and catching them, but I'm now stuck until I can progress friendships to unlock quests that unlock new areas for me to continue.

I want to be able to speed run a bit more and clock in 24hrs straight in this game without being stuck or bored because I have nothing else to do until the world reset at 2AM each night.

Хотела поиграть в что-то действительно ламповое и казуальное, чтобы на чиле побегать и устроить дружбу со всем местными покемонами. Как же я ошибалась. Ведь кто бы мог подумать, что Хеллоу Китти остров приключений окажется лютой дroчильнeй с привязкой вашей жопы.

Мало того, что у этой "детской" игры довольно недетский ценник (Казахстан, привет). Так еще для меня стало шоком, что игра, за которую ты отдаешь немалые деньги, оказывается сервисной помойкой. Начала играть и уже в самом начале игры я задалась вопросом: "А где, мать его, квесты?" Думаю, ладно... Побегаю и поди что появится. И что вы думаете? Пару выполненных заданий и тишина. НИ-ХЕ-РА, просто НИ-ХЕ-РА. Чтобы тебе дали сюжетное задание, тебе нужно задарить подарками жителей. Ты буквально выпрашиваешь у купленной игры геймплей. Количество подарков в день, естественно, ограничены. Ежедневная привязка и дейлики, здравствуйте. Всё сводиться к тому, что вы заходите в игру на 20 минут, обдариваете всех подарками в надежде получить хоть какое-то новое задание. И всё. Больше активностей нет!

Может быть тогда квесты действительно того стоят? Стоят же того?... 5 минут. Это максимальное время, за которое проходится задание. К тому же, ты больше времени тратишь на дарение подарков, чем на сам квест. При том, что основная часть задания состоит из диалогов и части принеси-подай. В лучшем случае другая, меньшая часть квеста, будет состоять из рыболовства, готовки, исследования, головоломок и т.д. Кажется столько всего! Да? Вот только это такая посредственность. Как пыль в глаза, серьезно. Здесь просто мозг даже на 1% включать не надо и вникать тоже, проработанности ноль. Вот взять заповедник животных. Ну ты просто ловишь животных, всё. Весь геймплей. Кормить их можно? Нельзя. Гладить? Нет. Только ловить, всё. И так во всем! Это даже казуальным геймплеем назвать нельзя, а именно за ним я пришла в игру. Это просто игра по сбору коллекционных предметов. А это, в свою очередь, всё сводится к одному - к подаркам. Может для кого-то это хорошо. Максимальное упрощение. Но даже для мобилки это слишком. В чём смысл то тогда геймплея? Я его не ощущаю от слова совсем. Только картинка меняется, действия те же.

Единственное, что я могу выделить - это остров и визуал. Внешний вид игры действительно радует глаз. Но на деле пустая обертка от конфетки.

В общем, эта игра не стоит ни минуты вашего времени, внимания и тем более денег. Игра, которая позиционирует себя как уютная и расслабляющая, представитель COZY жанра как никак, навязывает тебе себя, а в замен дает ничего. Не рекомендую покупать, лучше выбрать что получше и подешевле.

I really enjoy the game it has a huge number of missions. Sometimes several appear at the same time, which can feel a bit overwhelming as you have to decide which one to tackle first. Aside from that, the game is great and it’s easy to spend hours playing without even noticing the time pass.

Do you have a significant other who loves Sanrio? This game is the perfect gift! Although the gameplay can drag on and is very repetitive, so long as you don't binge this game but instead enjoy shorter sessions of it at a time, it can be quite the relaxing little adventure. You can create your own character, furnish cottages to your artistic vision, and travel around with and build friendships with the great many Sanrio cast--not just the main ones most merch is based on! That is all to say about this very simplistic, yet cute game. My wife and I had fun with it, so if you're even taking the time to read this, you may very well too.

Desde el primer día que lo jugué quedé encantada. Cuando estoy estresada voy a mi Isla a pasar un rato agradable. Los diálogos son graciosos y cada personaje tiene un encanto único. Me he vuelto adicta a coleccionar muebles y hasta tengo una lista para saber donde tengo cada colección de muebles. Sin duda lo recomiendo.

Pros:
Puedes conseguir todo solo jugando, tu dedicación se ve premiada con el tiempo, no necesitas comprar el Deluxe pues todo lo puedes conseguir por tus propios medios en los eventos a futuro.
Los paisajes son hermosos y cada vez se pone mejor, sobre todo cuando desbloqueas los climas.
Hay más contenido del que crees, conocerás otros mundos fuera de tu isla.
Hay puzzles fáciles, intermedios y difíciles, pero nada demasiado complicado como para hacerte pasar un mal rato, la experiencia general es agradable.

Contras:
Algunas misiones te pedirán que esperes al día siguiente (no te puedes rushear el juego) tendrás que ser paciente sobre todo al inicio cuando te quedes sin misiones. No te preocupes con el tiempo tendrás más que hacer diariamente.

Y más nada la verdad. Solo tengo cosas buenas que decir.

It's a simple, fun game. At first, I thought it was kind of slow, but once I started giving gifts to everybody, I got hooked. The game relies on you building friendship with the npcs, finding (or looking up) what gifts work best for everyone. Once you get to mid game, almost everyone has easy 2 heart gifts (up to 3 hearts being the best gift) and it's pretty quick to get them leveled up. You're basically guaranteed one level of friendship each day with each npc, assuming you give them all three gifts that day. It's big on collection, and decorating is also very fun. It's a game easy enough to play relaxed, while simultaneously having some puzzles and challenges for those who want to explore a bit more. And the characters are all lovable. I usually steer away from games that have a big franchise name on them (specifically ones that don't usually make games) because they tend to lean too much into the characters, and it's obvious. This game doesn't do that, at least not to me.

TLDR;
I really like this game, both relaxing and challenging when you want it to be. Only downside, kinda slow start if you don't know what you're doing. 10/10

What I expected: 20-30 hours of a cute little Sanrio themed RPG for a cozy relaxing couch game.
What I got: a massive lore-packed quest heavy collectathon full of adorable characters who tend to say whimsically surreal things.
The game does not require daily play but it is highly incentivized. You can enjoy playing it on a cute surface level with generally relaxing daily and long term quests, or you can get into it fully and end up developing spreadsheets to minmax hybridization of about 25 plots of flowers. Your choice. It's hilarious either way.

Bonus: the multiplayer mode is both functional and enjoyable!

昨年の春～秋くらいはほぼ毎日起動してました
安くはないけどお値段分くらいは遊べると思います

I absolutely LOVE this game. I am a big Sanrio fan and this game was everything I wanted it to be and more. I genuinely have not had this much fun on a game in such a long time, so much so that I find it hard to stop playing. It genuinely brings me so much joy and happiness <3.

A cozy little life sim with Hello Kitty and friends what's not to like, and enjoyable for all ages, the only thing I don't like is the way quests start, you can have 1 tracked, go talk to the character and it will sometimes start you off on a different one, or if you want to gift a character something and accidently hit talk instead of gift it will trigger the start of another quest which can get a bit annoying, would be nice to talk to a character and be given the option to which of their active quests you would like to start or ignore for now, apart from that it is an adorable game and can easily spend hours at a time on it. Am hoping there will be more DLC for this game in the future.

A perfect game for short sessions at the end of the day. We get lots of events. We spend more time having events than not having any. And each event brings new outfits, new furniture, new flowers. I'm 500 hours in, just short of a year later, and not done yet. It has reignited my love of all things Sanrio. It has filled the hole that the death of Hello Kitty Online left behind. And unlike Hello Kitty Online, this isn't P2W. Everything is achievable with minimal effort and patience. And some things are achievable with just a little bit of social skills and multiplayer.
Cozy, easy, relaxing.
Not for impatient people.

I think the amount of hours I have on here can easily tell everyone how much I adore this game. :) I've had it for over a year now, and while it's true that at times it can get a little stagnant, I always come back to it. There's usually always somethin' to do, and when there isn't, it's still a great game to play to wind down from a long day even if just for 10-15 minutes. There's always new content with fun little events too! It's obvious that the crew has an abundance of love for their game and accordingly gives it a lot of care to ensure players have the best experience. I have never encounted any serious issues in the gameplay. Can't wait for the future DLCs (like city town)!
