Haunted House™ (2010) is a remake of the original 1982 arcade game this version was on nintendo Wii .
The idea of the game 💡
Each level have different rooms you have to explore and collect items, keys, weapons to survive not that easy to unlock doors because the levels seems like a maze sometimes you get lost and the same time you can search for collectables items for your museum which you can visit in main menu like journal , antique items.
Story so far... 📖
Lyn Graves, granddaughter of the original 1982 game's protagonist, explores her uncle's infested mansion to rescue him and her friends. She must locate shattered pieces of a magical urn while battling ghouls, skeletons, and spiders in procedurally generated rooms.

The new version of Haunted House is a classic reimagined even the graphic and gameplay is much better

ATARIで発売された太古のホラーゲームのリメイク。
ゲーム性もほぼ一緒で、よく言えばシンプル、悪く言えば単調。
同じことの繰り返しなので現代のゲームとしては不満が残る出来。
古いゲームに対するノスタルジーを感じたい人向けだと思う。
Funny game with just the type of stuff i like to play (chests, finding collectables etc) but its missing the most important part... Achievements.. So i wont play this anymore untill that is added :-(

El original es viejo... muy viejo.... y fue el primero, recordad que entonces todos las temáticas de los vídeo juegos eran dispara/esquiva a todo lo que se mueva o golpea al cuadrado... en todas sus versiones... tenis, fútbol, tiro al plato... y todas las que pensáis que me he dejado...
Y fue el primero, si el juego original... fue el primer vídeo juego de terror y para los estándares de aquella era bueno.
Ahora este es exactamente lo mismo, misma mecánica, historia, y estilo... con gran cambio... los gráficos... ahora los gráficos son como antes te imaginabas que eran.... si el original te gusto, este te gustará.. y te hará recordar.
Y tambien da algun sustillo....
Ich kenne das Spiel noch von der Wii und bin seitdem ein riesiger Fan von dem Spiel. Es macht immer wieder Spaß!
Good game, kinda wonky controls. I love the art and story-direction, but sometimes the controls could be smoother and more responsive.
Atari Haunted House (Remastered) - A great concept, to some, a poor execution.
I am not sure how I honestly feel about that. My love of all things classic, tells me that I should give this one a pass, however, my serious gaming side (as small as it may be), tells me be honest.
What I have played of this game it is fun, once you get use to it, the fun novelty of it shines through, and what a great addition to anyone's library for the sake of Halloween and whatnot, honestly, I kind of like the feel of it, and like the updated graphics to the original Atari 2600 game I use to play as a kid makes me feel nostalgic, so yeah, I am sorry for anyone that expects a harsh review, but I just can't bring myself to do it, its a fun game to me, I recommend this one, its well worth the play, but definitely get it on sale if you still can!
I just cannot bring myself to finish this boring game. I made it past the first section which I think was like four or five levels. Then it is a cutscene and basically more of the same. You search each level of the house finding journals that you can read for more story and keys to unlock doors. Then like the fourth or fifth level is somewhat a boss level which I beat and got a cutscene with a little story and saying to search more of the house. After that I just gave up.
With bad controls and super boring gameplay this is just not fun or worth completing. A big nope from me and save your money.

Ich gebe nicht gern ohne ein SPiel oft genug getestet zu haben ein negatives Review!!!
Leider ist es mir unmöglich ein anderes zu schreiben, da das Spiel mir jedesmal mein System zerschießt!
Sprich: Ich renne plötzlich nach unten links und kann weder steuern noch das Spiel beenden, nur das Licht der Lichtquelle an- und ausmachen... Ich habe die ersten 2 Level beendet, weiter kam ich nicht, ob die Story gut ist und ob das Gameplay besser wird als bisher kann ich somit nicht sagen...
Wenn es an meinem 64 bit System liegt, was offiziell nicht unterstützt wird, aber laut Disskusion mit einer geringeren Auflösung als 1600 x ... funktioniert, dann habe ich pech gehabt.
Da es keine Errungenschaften gibt, oder Karten ist es auch weniger ein Problem...
Sollte jemand die 6 Euro investieren, sollte er aber damit rechnen, ein unspielbares Spiel zu spielen, bei dessen Bug man nur die Neustarttaste drücken kann...
Haunted House isen't terrible but it's not good either. It dosen't know if it wants to go after the kids demographic, or the adults who actually remember the orginal. It's also not sure how to update the gameplay. It's not bad but it's not great.

I loved the Atari 2600 module, however the alternatives back in the late 70s were few :-). In older times this would have been THE GAME, but nowadays I sadly have to admit, that the gameplay is outdated. For me very little fun, now and then nostalgic feelings, but not enough to recommend this game.
Stutters whole PC every 2 seconds, unplayable!

Now to the actual review.
This game is not worth you time or money. It is a barebones experience without a ghost of a chance to be entertaining. And yes, this game is worse than those puns I just made. I came into this game wanting to enjoy it, and I came out sorely disappointed less than an hour later. It is a boring, samey slog through tiring, repetitive levels. The gameplay is so minimal that it utterly fails to entertain. A clear lack of effort is evident in the subpar level design, outdated graphics, and poor gameplay. I am glad I got this for dirt cheap through a sale, because payng any mre than 2 US dollars for this would be highway robbery. When Valve finally gets around to implementing that refund policy, this is the first game I'm going to make use of it with. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED AND BORED.
I'm old enough to have owned the original for the Atari 2600. I spent some time trying to figure out how to get it to run 1080p proper. When I finally started playing, I discovered some of the most horrible controls I have ever seen. Frequently freezes you for dialogs, regardless of on-screen actions/threats.
This is unplayable. Very disappointed.
This game is a time waster update of an OLD simplistic Atari Game.
If you like that, buy it, if not, don't.
I like it, I saw it on sale, I bought it for a song, and I got my money's worth.

Hehe, another silly little indie game that's decent enough to pass time.. you run around in a haunted house and try to not get caught by monsters as you try to solve the mystery of the haunted house. You don't get regular attacks-per-se... just stuff you can sometimes do with a torch or what-not. It's a fun little time killer. I never delved far into the game though since at the time I was playing the Ghostbusters game which is a more badass game about ghosts... but still, I'll recommend this game for the fact that it's cheap and decently challenging.
Unfortantely I it won't run on my computer. Steam won launch it. No idea why. Running Win 7. And specs to run Crysis 3.
If I can get it going, Ill update my review. For now I cannot recommend it.

Am Anfang ganz lustig und wird extrem schnell langweilig.
At first the game seems easy, but its a pretty good puzzle game that revolves around the use of magical colored lanterns to open secret doors and find levers. Not a long game, but hunting all the treasures which do nothing may be of interest? The goal is to save Grandpa!!! The bad part of the game is that the lanterns run out which can leave you trapped unable to complete a level, luckily their not long though so restarting isnt a big deal. Poor instructions means going old school when getting into fights, just figuring out how to beat a boss, or an enemy, such as the last boss where you just drop a bunch of Holy hand Grenades, yep those are in the game, its fun. Later levels are very dark testing your memory, providing a good challenge. magical weapons in the game are a few, if you put them down they only reappear randomly once, so carry those through the whole game, except that eye of horus it appears a few times.
nostalgia: Game is based on a very old atari 2600 cartridge which was played in a console that looked like it was made of wood, everything back then had wood grain. In the original haunted House you ran around as a set of eyes with a light, they pull off the update nicely. Pésimo!! la versión original de Atari 2600 es mejor.
Un petit jeu amusant quand on a du temps à perdre. Assez répétitif puisque l'on fait toujours la meme chose sur chaque niveaux, le manque d'une carte nous fait perdre totalement la notion d'orientation. Une fin un peu trop simple à mon gout pour avoir traversé toute la maison au milieu d'esprit en tout genre.
Sinon un petit jeu à avoir dans sa poche puisque c'est un remake d'un grand classique d'atari ( bien qu'ils auraient pu l'améliorer quand même un chouilla ).
A faire au moins une fois dans sa vie...

Disappointing despite the graphical facelift. I guess I was expecting a little more than an exact replica of the original game.
When the original came out, the creators took what limited technology that had and created a genuinely creepy, highly memorable game. I recently revisited this game and I was pleased to see that the original game has held up nicely throughout the years. To me it was one of the best classic Atari games ever released.
So how did the reboot hold up? Ehh, so-so; While this game wasn't terrible, it wasn't necessarily good either. It just seems that they could have done more with it.
Wait until this goes on sale for $2.99 and get it then.

Dans ce jeu, les joueurs devront tenter résoudre les mystères qui hantent le manoir de Graves en incarnant les petits-enfants de Samuel Silverspring, celui-là même qui est disparu sans laisser de traces dans cette maléfique demeure, il y a 30 ans. Pourchassés par des rats voraces, des chauves-souris, d'effroyables squelettes et des fantômes, les joueurs devront explorer une vingtaine de niveaux seuls ou en duo, afin de mettre la main sur les quatre fragments perdus d'une urne magique. Dans les premiers niveaux, les joueurs ne pourront livrer bataille aux créatures maléfiques, ils n'auront d'autre choix que de fuir. Alors qu'ils exploreront cette vaste demeure, les joueurs devront s'éclairer à l'aide diverses sources lumineuses afin de retrouver des ouvrages mystiques et des artéfacts mystérieux. Chaque source (allumettes, cellulaires, bougies, etc.) pouvant être utilisée pour une période limitée, une gestion de l'inventaire, réduit à deux items seulement, sera nécessaire. Certains items pourront révéler des chemins secrets (lanterne) ou blesser des ennemis (torche). En plus de devoir fouiller les lieux pour trouver des clés, les joueurs devront aussi actionner des leviers dissimulés, afin d'ouvrir des portes. Le jeu intéressera sans doute les plus jeunes, qui pourront jouer avec un parent.
