It's true what people are saying. Even though this game is still for sale on Steam, it is completely shut down. I think there should have to be an announcement or some warning when a game you've paid for on Steam is being killed, this doesn't seem fair.

I am tremendously disappointed. I had purchased this game for my brother and I to Play, Hoping we could have a game to enjoy together. I saw this was only $3, and was so excited! There were so many good reviews and the videos looked fantastic. Then I booted it up.

The tutorial was hilarious and I loved it but I noticed that the controls were really weird. I'm using a Quest 3 streaming through virtual desktop. For the life of me I cannot get the controllers to work. When I finally reloaded the game back up and went into the main hub area, I realized I couldn't access anything.

Turns out, for some brilliant reason, the developer decided that if there aren't any active servers, you can't even play the single player campaign anymore.

In short, until the developers or somebody figures out A fix for this game so that we can play the single player content as well as play it easily using modern VR headsets, do not buy this.

It is completely unplayable with modern hardware.

Don't bother. The game requires connecting to a central server to function, and the studio pulled the plug on it. Though you'd discover that fact well within the refund window if you did buy it, I'd advise against it anyway.

Finger weg - funktioniert leider nicht mehr. Nach dem Tutorial kommt man nicht mehr weiter. Es geht nicht mehr, alle Server sind offline und vermutlich auch Server, die benötigt werden um auch Singleplayer zu spielen. Macht zwar keinen Sinn, ist aber leider so. Schade.

It's broken. Rather sad because it was a pretty good game, reminded me of Unreal Tournament and Borderlands in some ways. I had a lot of fun playing this game, even though certain explosions would crash it, but can't recommend it in it's current state as it is completely unplayable other than running around the job/mission hub throwing chairs and bottles and stuff. Even if any servers went offline, the game should be fully playable in single player mode but it is not. No jobs, no game. Unless the game gets fixed, it should not be for sale.

When this game was current, it was AMAZING, the amount of fun I had playing is something I miss terribly

recently i wanted to go back in, but to my surprise, you cannot play, Id be ok if multiplayer no longer worked, but not even single player! you can go into the hub world and do the target practice, but none of the missions are accessible, really??

whats really a slap in the face is the factg this game is still listed as a game you can buy! if you cant play it, DELIST IT!

This game WAS awesome when i bought it 5 years ago. I played a bit of the single player campaign and multiplayer when it was active at that time. I wanted to give it another go but now the game starts into the tutorial mission and cant do anything after that. The multiplayer server just kicks you back to the white open void and the local game doesn't have any missions on the mission board. Absolute waste of time now and space. DO NOT BUY , i hate Drifter for this as it seems they have abandoned this game. I will never buy anything you guys make again.

Es ist ein früher VR-shooter von ca. 2017, aber wer nur mal etwas gegen eine KI ballern will und in einem SciFi-Szenario mit besonderem atmosphärischen Gehalt etwas movement braucht, sollte sich das game loaden. Ist inzwischen glaub ich sogar umsonst. Kommt an eine A-Bewertung nicht ganz heran, aber irgendwie finde ich solche Spiele nicht so verkehrt, wenns ums ballern geht. Es gibt wesentlich nervigere games, und dies ist durchaus schnell, aber handlebar. Alles funktioniert ohne bugs, das einzige ist die Länge der challenges ist mir kanpp zu lang, dann schafft man es nicht in den safe-slot und kann beim näxten Mal wieder von vorn anfangen. Motion-sickness ist durchaus ein Thema, aber nicht so schlimm wie bei Fracked.
Nach einer Std bin ich noch nicht so flüssig unterwegs - ich schätze aber dass nach 2 bis 3 Std vielleicht eine gewisse Ermüdung auftritt, die Machart ist ziemlich schnell erfasst. Trotzdem muss man der Kreativität der Entwickler Lob zollen, das ist für ein frühes game gut im ganzen und bekommt 6/10 von mir.

Gunheart looks exciting at first glance, but it's really just a repetitive VR wave shooter.

Gameplay is fine for the first few missions: gunplay is satisfying and movement, while not as good and expressive as Sairento, is still fun. But then the game keeps repeating similar enemies and environments over and over again. Enemy AI is buggy with ground units sometimes freezing motionless or wandering around the map far away from the player. Many enemies wield firearms, but they do not fight in any formation, just jump around aimlessly, shooting in your general direction from time to time.
Weapon and rig customizations look promising at first, but after finishing the campaign I've collected only 5 weapon mods and 1 rig mod, most of which were completely useless.

Visuals are a mixed bag: the game is quite old, so it looks a bit blurry on high resolution headsets, but vast skyboxes and backgrounds are really impressive.

All the campaign missions are structured the same way: go to a place, kill required amount of enemies while they spawn around you infinitely and move on to the next arena, rinse and repeat. It's really just a wave shooter in disguise.
I barely mustered enough determination to push through 3 hours long campaign just to get the most boring final boss possible and unsatisfying ending, that feels like it was not planned to be the ending, since Steam store page bolsters "multiple bosses" while that final boss could not even be counted as 1.

Works on Reverb G2, but teleport and jump actions are mapped to the same button by default

GUYS! Where did this game come from! They dusted off some old game from 5 years ago and add VR to it! This is AMAZING! It reminds me of Mothergunship Forge crossed with Halo, but without gun building. It has all you would expect from something like Robo Recall/Roboquest. It's super fast paced, but there is no bullet time. Why is that good? Because hopping onto a multiplayer with your friends is the easiest thing, and there is no strange mechanics here. The movement can be teleport or full locomotion. First thing me and my son do is turn off all the comfort settings, increase the turning speed and were double jumping all over the place guns blazing like something from the Wanted Movie. There is a really good shooting range in this game that we spent probably an hour in alone.

I love this game, and feel as though it is one of the most underrated games I have ever played. Full price of $8 is crazy cheap for the experience.

Played through this recently with a friend. Some people are saying it doesnt work with the Valve Index and multiplayer doesnt work. I played with a Valve index just fine and online with no issues. You might want to use a custom controller profile through steam VR though and the default bindings arent great.

The game itself is fun, especially with someone else. Its very fast paced but has teleport options. You move very quickly, you can jump really high and even double jump. The game isnt afraid to throw lots of enemies at you and you have to jump and move around alot at times.

Its like Doom gameplay pace with XP you get to buy more weapons and upgrade your characters with visuals that remind me alot of Halo.

Visually it looks good, gameplay if fun but the weapons can feel like are lacking punch. I think the enemy animations could be better to improve this.

I would say its worth it if you plan to play with a friend at full price and is worth a try on your own on a sale.

WOW I love this game.

Attention to details in particular. You start off an the menu system and tutorial is part of the game itself, good backstory which fits. The guns are all unique and almost all are fun. I enjoy the feeling over powered ness of some levels. And some clever moments.

In theory this game is lots of fun but I wouldn't know as on the Quest 2 it's irritating.
The controls are mapped for valve's vr controllers. They do not map correctly to Quest 2.

Granted a game doesn't have to support any particular vr platform but it's a shame to see that control settings for the game are limited and switching some things on/off also just makes the quest controllers act weird and wrong.

(Example, my left controller's trigger pulls up the multi-tool AND randomly makes me strafe to the right while doing so).

That being the case, and I'm reading multiplayer no longer works, I can't recommend it. It was a nice tech demo for my rig.

The trailer looks cool but playing the game just feels so meh in comparison.
The soundtrack itself is very repetitive and generic.
VR support is sort of arse and comfort options are far too restrictive with no setting to disable it (from when i played it) .
The game really want you to feel that the game has a lot of content from the trailer but the game itself just seems a lot like a no man sky situation where there isn't much gameplay loop besides doing the same activity over and over with so little actual variation or challenge to make the game fun.

Und wieder mal ein Spiel was die Steuerung über die "Knuckles" nicht mit Smoothturn und Free Locomotion hin bekommt. Nur auf die Quest optimiert. Bueno el no recomendar el juego a parte de no estar ni subtitulado lo que me ha matado es el que lo dejaran abandonado por completo.
Uso una quest2 y cual es mi sorpresa que solo puedes usar giro continuo si estás conectado por cable al PC con las gafas. Manda huevos...

Si juegas desde VirtualDesktop hay opciones que no aparecen en el menú de movimiento consiguiendo que no puedas rotar libremente con el mando.

En referencia a los gráficos... bueno, podían ser mejores al igual que el sonido.
Si no lo devuelvo es por probar el cooperativo y poder evaluar su juego, aunque ya viendo los problemas con los mandos, idioma y etc no espero mucho.

It is a shame, the game had a decent foundation and seems to have taken notes from games such as Doom, but the execution is a bit lackluster.

With missions that can last anywhere from 10~45 mins which mostly resolves into a hoard mode, don't get me wrong that can be fun if done properly but some of the maps and enemies doesn't feel like it was made for that, for example there is a map that has tight hallways and one big room with a instant death floor with a few moving platforms to jump across, but the enemies you fight in the map are a bunch of teleportation zombies that sometimes clip into you which results in you not being able to move anywhere until you kill the one clipped into you and that can happen with multiple enemies on top of you forcing you to kill all of them until you can move again. This problem becomes worst when there is only a small platform you are standing on so you have like 20 enemies on top of you and they can all hit you when you can kill them one at a time.

Another problem I had personally is the drip feed of content, one of their key features is the mods and weapons customization, for me being able to make my weapon the way I want is a big part of an RPG and in this the drops are way too few. I can earn 1~3 mods from a mission ranging from common to ultra, but the mods that I already unlocked is not removed from the loot pool, so what normally happens is I get another repeat of a common mod I already own so that mission I did only gave me some cash, but remember each mission takes about 10~45 mins so at best I wasted 10 mins at worst there goes almost a hour.

But the game expects me too grind out the mods, the weapon upgrades, your character upgrades and so on, but here's the thing after a little while I wasn't having much fun, "So play it with a friend" you say well I would but as of writing this online functions are not working so I can't.

Look I can see what they were going for, a fps like Doom with a loot drop like Warframe but with them not fully committing to either it falls short for me but that's my opinion, and the grind is way too much for me

For some strange reason this game has slipped past and remained hidden for quite some time. But its a fun little gem that deserves praise and best of all is it has much replayability. If there were to be a minus it would be that Gunheart has to end but you can always start at the beginning! Without giving too much away the game is separated into various missions. One mission at each session seems to be perfect if one wants to have a clear head for work/school the next day. The one tiny let down is the monotonously repetitive scenery but thats hardly a deal breaker. Buy it today even at full price its worth every cent.

Gunheart, like all Drifter games, is underrated. I haven’t been able to play that much, but Drifter’s art style is always unique and really stands out in VR. This game reminds me of After the Fall with Robo Recall’s sense of humor and Half-Life Alyx’s graphics (almost).

Yes, you have to rebind the Index Controllers within SteamVR itself to make the controls work.
Yes, the render-resolution is messed up on the Varjo Aero because this game is made on an old unreal engine built.

BUT

It's a lot of fun and imo there is no better fully fledged first person shooter with walkable levels and quests/missions/multiplayer in VR.
It has weapon progression, amazing character movement and weapon control like no other VR game. The graphics and sounds are very good. Music, level design, animations, effects, physics, programming...... 5stars .

This is one of the most overlooked VR games to date.
This is not your average unpolished indie VR game. This one is big, polished and it has that developers soul in it...

The resolution does not go any higher than ~2000x per eye. I can't find the configuration file. Ignores SteamVR SuperSampling.

If the dev team at Drifter is still around, they should update this, enhance it for modern VR headsets and relaunch it with a big update somehow. Contact VR Content Creators etc... Because:
It is freaking amazing, After the Fall is nothing against this. More weapons, TONS of upgrades for your character, for every weapon, shooting range is basically an arcade game in itself.
Nice graphics, EA was 2017 full release 2018 I cant believe how I have missed out on this game.
Roughly 5 bucks on sale is insane, go grab it.
I have played it using the Quest 2 wireless, which works flawless. But I have heard it does not play well with Index Controllers.
Alright, gotta head back in.
Edit. The multiplayer does work, I was in the open lobby with a random guy and a friend. I was able to join the random guy on his already running mission. Later I did play a map with my buddy, no problems at all.

WOW! I have been wanting to play this for a while, I wish I had grabbed it sooner. It is a fantastic co-op VR RPG shooter. Love the mashup of Borderlands, Doom, Warframe, combined with great controls (although not intuitive at first how to do certain things). I have been impressed with the tactical enemy algorithm, and totally freaked out by the zombugs, ergh! Love this one!

Gunheart is a great coop shooter witth some of the best SciFi VR graphics around (despite its age), lots of customizations and weapons to unlock, The missions are quite linear (get from point A to point B, kill everything that tries to kill you on your way) but with wide open areas so
it leaves some space for tactics, and, as a solo game, it's decent. As a coop game, it is extreme fun. Sadly the (entertaining) lobby is empty most of the time, so it really helps if you know other who have the game (as far as I know, there is even crossplay between VR and flat ... so that should really help)

I have yet to see it crash, and the netcode seems to be very solid ... *when the server works* (see old review), which is more than most VR games can claim too.

So .. basically : buy it!

Old (negative) review:
the game itself was super fun in coop mode. Sadly the servers, whilst still online apparently, are not working and there is no way to play over LAN, so multiplayer is effectively dead.

Too bad, even though I understand the developers, considering the game didn't sell well.

So : good shooter game, but only single player now.

Kinda like "Destiny" in VR, at least it kinda reminds me of that game.

This has very good performnace, good variety of weapons, which are upgradeable.

One of the most underrated games in VR i think.

It has its issues, Enemies AI isnt the best, but its varied enough to make them feel different and take different approaches to each one.

Movility is amazing, jumping around the map feels great.

Coop works great, customization options are nice, but really the game is fun!

It was fun while it lasted. Controls are a little jank. But the gameplay is fun even to this day. Had to change servers to play multiplayer though. Playing on US east causes the game to fade to black, then it restarts to the main menu. Seeing as this game hasn't been updated in over 2 years, chances of another update are slim. But it's fun, fast paced, cross platform with flat screen players, and cheap.

sounded really fun, friend and I bought it..... when we started to play all the sudden all the enemies got very small but still hit us like large enemies. we started clipping into the ground and honestly couldnt fix it..... validated files... uninstalled, reinstalled.

First of all, a big caveat: Don't treat this as a fully realised game, instead look at it as an intriguing proof of concept. There's a very robust skeleton there, it's just sadly about as skinny as the jump-jetting, Boba-Fetting robot body the game puts you in control of.

Said antigrav androids however are what makes this game so interesting in the first place:
Even in the age of free locomotion, you are ultimately never more than a puppeteer, in control of a floating head and two disembodied hands. Movement rarely feels natural, instead of walking you are either slowly shifting, or zipping around like on rollerblades. [i]Gunheart[/i] tackles that issue by simply embracing it. Your metal-made mercenary doesn't walk - in fact, it doesn't even have feet; your legs are cut off below the shins and really only seem to exist as a concession to the human shape. So you're hovering above ground, always in a sitting position, leg stumps casually dangling, like [i]Overwatch[/i]'s Zenyatta if he had converted from Buddhism to Dudeism. You can also jump unnaturally high into the air with a jetpack, and finally - as is custom in most VR games - teleport short distances. Teleportation however isn't just an alternative locomotion option for people who get sick easily, but was intended by the developers as a fully implemented gameplay mechanic, allowing you to access hard to reach areas, or quickly dash in and out of battle. All of this makes for a fast and fluid game that can be comfortably played both in sitting/standing or roomscale setups without even having to really change anything in the locomotion options. It's not exactly [i]Quake[/i], not even close, but it is for sure one of the zippiest native VR first-person shooter games out there.

Sadly the shooting, while mechanically interesting, isn't handled quite as well; most guns severely lack punch and hitting enemies feels like shooting them with nerf darts. There's still some fun to be had for a while, more so if you can find other players, but it's really more so thanks to the movement than the action. And the lack of content and variety becomes obvious very quickly. There are only a handful of enemy types with a few variations each, but they are too similar to hold a candle even to other horde shooters.

Again, I am still thumbing this game up, but as a fascinating curio first and foremost. And make no mistake, there's plenty of potential there for a sequel that takes all the good stuff and builds a proper game around it. Grab [i]Gunhart[/i] on sale for 7 quid give or take, and you'll have yourself an afternoon's worth of amusement.

Good Game one of the better VR shooters out there, if you like Scifi go for it, its a mix between destiny2 and doom somehow.. can only recommend it. I have alot of fun with my girlfriend playing it! cool weapons guns feel good just wish there would be more, nice graphics, just wish there would be more alienlike plant planet and not only grey facilities? other than that i cannot complain, 20h in it still motivated to upgrate and get all the weapon and armor mods! long term motivation is there. for 15$ its realy good and coop / multiplayer is fun! there are also some players its not completly dead game like other vr titles! wish people would pay more attention to it

im playing it with a pimax 8k+ and index controllers its working fine but for pimax you need to play with the options to make it run! Pitool renderquality has to be 1. parallel projection needs to be ON! also i have hidden area mask ON! the other options off. also the max field of view for pimax is NORMAL cannot run it with large field of view! works fine every one complaining its not working with pimax or index didnt test arround with the settings for me it worked fine even it crashed at start because of wrong settings!

also the tutorial looks graphically little buggy but after the tutorial is done it looks all good so dont worry or scare!

This is a review of the VR Support on Valve Index

The VR controls for Valve Index are terrible. You are forced to emulate the touchpad of the Vive Wands, which are not great either. The down direction on the right thumbstick should NEVER be jump, ever. My character would jump randomly as I would try to use the right and left directions to turn my character. I also tried disabling the jump which then replaces the action with teleport so I would accidentally teleport when I wanted to turn.

You may say, well just turn your body, my playspace is quite limited so I am used to using smooth/snap-turn options in VR games, which has become a standard in VR.

The gameplay seemed average from the hour I played it. It just seemed like a walking shooting gallery. May have ramped up, but I got bored very quickly. Plus the controls didn't help matters either.

With my time with the game, I cannot recommend this title, especially for Valve Index owners.

It has a nice single player campaign

Graphics are pretty good for VR. They do not look like the screenshots though due to the screen door effect. The better your headset, the better this game will look.

Game world is nice. Don't know why, but it slightly reminds me of Borderlands.

It's not just a shooter but a First Person platformer too. I really like that part.

It has anti-VR sickness features

I didn't check out multiplayer yet, but it works cross platform which is awesome.

There's a lot of player avatar customization which is good for multiplayer

I don't think there's a Natural Locomotion configuration for this game. I'd rather use my Vive Tracker attached feet to move than the controller.

I don't know why this is hidden in the Steam Store. It's a nice gem and I'm glad I found it.

Awesome game. Mix between Quake and Borderlands. Be aware that game is at it's best when not teleporting. So training to prevent VR-Nausea is kind of required.

I had been looking at this game for a good while now, and now that is on sale I bought it for €8.39. I think it was a good buy.

Without spoiling anything, the game begins with a humorous tutorial and it won't be long until you get into your first mission on a planet surface where you get your first taste of combat against insect-like enemies. It is a pretty good tutorial level and it does a good job at teaching you the basic controls without patronizing or holding the player's hand too much.

What I have seen so far the levels have a good amount of verticality, and your progress is not strictly limited to a narrow path. The levels are still a bit linear but at least there is an illusion of choice.

The controls are pretty good, and it makes navigating the levels pretty easy. For example, you can either limit free movement (strafing) to stop on ledges or walking over them, and there are also teleport options. I think most players will find a control scheme they like. There is also left-handed mode.

There is a nice assortment of guns to choose from, from pistols and break-barrel shotguns to miniguns and railguns. Most are pretty basic but the variety comes from being able to install different mods into them as you unlock and find them, giving variety to the available arsenal.

There is a slight RPG aspect to the game too as you get to upgrade your "rig" (your mechanical body) in three categories: damage, shield and armour. In addition to these there is a perk slot system which unlocks as you play, and you can insert different perks that you discover as you play into them. You can also customize the appearance of your rig somewhat, giving it different paint-jobs, headgear and holographic faces.

I have not yet tried the multiplayer but I'll give this game hooves up.

Excellent game, you'll get at least 20 hours of content out of this one, more if you want to get all the achievements. Smooth, fast-paced FPS action with a decent amount of upgrades and versatility in your builds.
Unfortunately, the online population is basically zero, and this really shines in Co-op. So grab a buddy before going in!

This is an excellent VR shooter. The weapons are satisfying, especially the dual wielding and the movement is excellent. Boosting into a swarm of enemies from above gives you a real badass rush. I'm only a couple of hours in, but this is a very polished game that is a lot of fun.

Apart from the stunning visuals, and the amusing vibe this games gives the gameplay is a bit lacking,
it's pretty repetitive, there are some nice scenery and new enemies throughout the campaign,
the A.I doesn't work all the time, enemies will either snipe you from long distance or stand like a dumb-ass and shot at you without moving
but overall the game wasn't engaging enough for my taste.

Game can't maintain 90 fps all the time, even on minimum settings despite I have GeForce 2060 Super, Ryzen 1700x and 32GB of RAM (Oculus Rift). Also gameplay is boring for my taste, at least if playing alone.

There's not a lot of Co-Op VR games, but it was hard to not be jaded in my review. I was really excited for this game because I like robots, shooting bugs, and VR.

As a whole this game's Store Page gives off the idea that you're playing a game that looks, feels, and sounds more polished than it actually is. The guns feel like toys rather than like guns, the geometry of some of the more natural environment makes Gears of War (2006) look Next Gen by today's standards. So pretty quickly I had to get over Aesthetics and start judging the game on gameplay alone because the audio was so underwhelming it made Naked Sun look like a Dolby Atmos tech demo. Firearms as well as anything that isn't an explosion sounds really poorly and cheaply made.

I love the voice acting in this game, 5/5 to the actors and actresses who really helped build the world, which is kind of where my next gripe comes in. This has a very fascinating world and background that is very lightly explored and at just the right amount of detail that has me intrigued and wanting to learn more. Unfortunately, the depth of world-building was as shallow as a children's pool, but at least I got my ankles wet.

I think this would be a fun game if I had friends to play with rather than losers who teleport and look at me funny when I'm at the other end of the map. The game throws infinitely respawning enemies that don't stop until you have advanced past them (similar to Call of Duty games if you've played any of those in the past ten years). This means that if you have some yahoo who is too lazy to stand sitting in their chair playing this you're going to be waiting for lazy-ass to get the lard out of their veins, which gets annoying. There's direct movement in the game usable by left thumbstick/trackpad, or you can be lazy and take twice as long to finish missions while the rest of your party who is walking/flying is doing backflips and ♥♥♥♥ while waiting for you to point-and-click.

Typically not a fan of using weapons by bringing both hands together, but this game pulled it off for multiple weapon types, good job.

I'm sure if I had a friend or two to enjoy this game with I would love Gunheart, mainly because I would no longer be forced to either play alone or suffer other's laziness. I love the customization, the UI needs to replace opening the menu in order to be perfected, otherwise it was a smooth experience after the tutorial. Ultimately I refunded this title, and I had purchased it while it was 50% off during a sale. It seems like the developers are gone, or at least only providing updates when the game goes on sale which is always scary when you purchase a game that is apparently "openly" unfinished. I don't think this game was worth either the $30 full price (at time of sale, saw it dropped to $20, hmmm) or $15 I paid. I feel like if you're looking for a good VR title and Sci-Fi isn't mandatory you can find other better titles. This is going to absolutely kill me, but during the same sale VR owners could have purchased PayDay 2 with all of its dumb DLC for $5. I can't recommend a game that provides more than 50% less content than PayDay 2 for more than triple the price during a sale, and both PayDay 2 and Gunheart are VR/Non-VR cross-multiplayer compatible.

Concept:
Basically a storyline with side missions that claim to be randomly generated (although they flip the same content over and over and over again) with a few weapon upgrades, a weapon leveling aspect and the ability to upgrade your "rig" (body).

The story is pretty thin, there isn't much to it really. Go kill bugs. That's literally it.

The problem I've had with this game is the same one I've had since it was released that was never fixed: There simply isn't much direction to the game. You get pushed into the first mission with little-to-no idea what to do and pick things up as you go.

But, that all ends when you "win" the first mission and get dumped unceremoniously into the hub. There are no instructions, no tutorials, no information boards, nothing. You blunder around wondering what the hell you're supposed to do next. Even going over to the "reward" zone... you get to smash stuff for prizes. Why? How many do you get? How is that amount figured? Were that just from the last mission you played? You have no idea... I brought these issues up to the developer when I first played (and refunded) this game and nothing has been done about it.

Basically the game is an unfinished attempt to make a borderlands-genre game with hidden money containers that totally break immersion and progression as you "hunt" for them all over the map. It's a pointless exercise in wasted time.

The guns are limited to only a dozen and require "unlocks" to get them, the perks they are given aren't very helpful and generally come with negative balancing that makes them pointless to use as you lose damage or accuracy in order to add something else.

I found it outright boring to run the levels. You shoot bugs... there are no static spawn locations, they spawn anywhere without any kind of immersion or thought for tactics. Half of them run right up to you to be shot.

All-in-all this might have been a decent game if they ever finished it. But, as it is, it hasn't gotten any noticeable updates since I first bought it on release almost a year ago.

Played in VR
This game is amazing for VR. The jumping and Teleporting over giant gaps feels very nerve racking. Im not particularly scared of heights but id still get sweaty palms at times.
Movement and gun shooting just feels great for VR. Im sure playing this without VR could be a bit underwhelming due to the games overall limited depth but for VR its fun, especially when you compare it to the dozens of other lackluster shooting games made for VR.
Pros: The Guns are pretty fun and interesting, with mods and upgrades can give them a slight amount of diversity.
The humor of the game is nice, doesnt smack you in the face with it but just fun. Smacking floating loot balls with duel wielding bats is a fun touch.

Cons: Levels are repetitive. Wish there were more guns. (it has 6 small and 4 large) but i wish that had dozens of each like Dead effect 2.

Its worth its 19 dollar price, but barely. I got it on sale for 13 dollars and am pleased with the purchase.
