I hate to be a negative nancy, but this game is just not good :[ I wanted to like it going into it but i could barely motivate myself to play it after i started, i had to go through the whole thing in a vc with friends in one day because i knew if i didnt then i would fall off of it again. I did this on easy because i knew if i ever got stuck on a section then it would annoy me and kill my motivation, which still happened like thrice.

The gameplay is slow, clunky, and uninteresting. The story was actually interesting but if you dont already care about GG lore then this probably wont get you to care about it.

The best thing about this game is its music, It genuinely has some of the best songs in ALL of GG as a whole, tracks live Diva and The mask does not laugh are in my top 3 song in the series. The problem is that a lot of these songs dont play during the actual game: some character themes only play if the person playing them is winning, or at least i think they do, this never happened during my playthrough despite me remembering it happening the first time i played?? but when the best songs arent playing, its generic dramatic music, a lot of which sounds kinda bad.

For me at least, There isnt very much to like in this game and its only worth playing just so you can say that you played it. 4/10 probably wont play again.

엑박 패드로 해도 조작이 너무 구리고 캠페인 기준 게임 좀 하다가
스토리 나와서 끊기고 잠깐 하다보면 스토리 나와서 끊기고가 심합니다.

게임 구조는 간단하게 땅따먹기 하면서 자동 생성되는 본인 캐릭터의 유닛을 전진시키고
적의 거점을 무너뜨리면 되는 타워 디펜스 형 느낌으로 되어있습니다.

격투 게임의 스토리를 다른 게임 형식으로 풀어보려고 했던 점은 참신하고 좋았으나
적 캐릭이나 내 캐릭이 다운 되었을 때 dps가 심하게 빈다는 단점과
불편한 조작감, 그리고 캠페인 진행 중 짜증나는 구간이 불편한 조작감과 함께 승룡권을 날려서 별로입니다.

그냥 길티기어는 격투게임으로 즐기세요..

我是打史低买的。真的是后悔当初没有玩一下再退钱。不知道ARC为什么花钱弄出这种垃圾。除了配音是原配，其他一堆缺点。
动作和地图还有胜利条件有点像无双，但是毫无爽快感，操作和手感很差，尤其是那个冲刺简直反人类。策略毫无策略，玩到13关
那里，守大门，不知道为什么大门一下就破了，发动指令让那个博士救队友，一直不救，打不过去。而且这个游戏毫无升级的指令，感觉不开修改器，EASY难度也很难。我还是去网上看剧情算了。

The balance is pretty confusing, nobody is in online outside of specified servers, and it appears to be having a midlife genre crisis, but somehow I love it.
The soundtrack rocks though, 10/10.

This game has a very good fusion of experimental mechanics and ideas that were way ahead of its time. The gameplay is a mix of Smite and For Honor, with DMC style combos. The campaign mingles with a lot of different genres as well in cool scenarios that are probably a better way to absorb the GG lore than the mainline games are. However, the controls are very rough: aiming with the mouse is somehow worse than with the the controller but the gamepad is not that much better either.

It's probably best enjoyed with friends, but I can see a lot of people being put off by having to wrestle the controls. I do wish more fighting games had weird spin-offs like this one.

Keep in mind GG2 was made in 2007 so it does show its age in game design and execution.

That being said... the game is unique and sits in a very small selection of games I'm even aware about. That being a Hybrid Action RTS. Similar games would be Brutal Legend which launched 2 years after this and Kingdom Under Fire Crusaders/Heroes released 2/3 years before this.

You play as a character on the field, opening your map-menu called the Organ to build and command your units. On the field is a very akin to a 3D arena fighter. Locking on makes it closer to a fighting game with more direction inputs, launchers, combos, ect.

Mode wise the game is pretty good with its offering. Campaign offers some good challenges and some harsh difficulty spikes, effectively working as a tutorial as your drip fed mechanics and units like every other RTS game. Those wanting to learn a little faster can hop into free missions which have 2 direct tutorial offerings but not as in depth but will get you playing the game. Skirmish is fun, but be aware the AI cheats a LOT... I don't think they have resources. Training is your typical fighting game affair to practice combos. Lastly you have online battles which I'm gonna be blunt, this is a discord game, don't expect getting anything from match making.

And last but not least...the only drawback is the port. This is as bare bones as it gets. A lot of settings are gonna be done via ini changes. The game runs great, don't get me wrong but modifying things is.... *f u n*. Rule of thumb is if it had a menu on the Xbox, it has a proper menu here. If it didn't have an xbox menu, go dig in the ini for it.

Oh one thing to note for new players who are not as experienced in these kind of games;
Organ wait is your friend, opening your map pauses the game and lets you plan things out and look through things.
Organ Assist... is questionable, because it tries to automate your units but you would learn better for playing with friends playing this proper. Practicing build orders, getting used to issuing commands, ect.

i don't know why this is a tower defense game but it's not even a good one. the s rank requirements are bs and with how janky the game can be it's a slog to get through, it's not even fun as a musou as you don't *feel* strong and you and your enemies stay down for far too long. the free missions, specifically the survival ones are extremely tedious and brutal, it's like a sadist made this game. if there is one good thing i have to say about this game, it's the multiplayer is actually fun. get it if you have friends to play with, but for a solo experience it's tedious, unfair and unfun.

Its another Japanese game bad PC port number 100 something something.
I could talk about the game, its what you do in reviews, but Steam has 'recommended' and 'not recommended' so its not like it maters much, the Devs after all did not put nearly as much thought as i my will to play this game.
There are no graphic settings, not even a toggle for full screen, you have to press Alt-Enter every time you start the game.
There are no control settings, infact there is this incredibly nasty bug that if you press 'the wrong button' whatever the game decides it will stop reading all your Keyboard inputs, the only way i found to fix it was to Alt F4 and then re enter the game and be very careful of what i am pressing.
The game also lacks keyboard prompts, now some people might say just use a controller but i think playing a PC game with a controller is dumb and if its a game on PC it should make sure to actually have keyboard prompts. Now in reality the controls are actually pretty good, this is a Fighting/Moba/Dynasty Warriors/Brutal Legend type game with a lot of combat moves and various commands for the fodder trash you summon to take over various points on maps, and to be honest once i FIGURED out of what button was what, its not that bad, plus you actually have few advantages such as numbers 1 to 6 being quick slots to inventory where as controllers have to select an item then use it.
Its a half baked mess, the asking price isn't too bad, considering what some games ask, but honestly even as bad ports as Nier had the courtesy to show you keyboard prompts and have SOME options in settings even if they changed nothing.

Максимально ядрёная смесь из слешера, бит-эм-апа, стратегии в реальном времени и довольно динамичной гонки. В основном вы будете мотаться туда-сюда ради того, чтобы спасти свою базу, раскидывая всех направо и налево — ведь враги отлетают как колёса! И всё это под шикарный саундтрек, который прилагается вместе с игрой (непосредственно в папке игры).

Иногда управление бывает довольно тугим, но к этому быстро адаптируешься, разнося вражин ещё охотнее!

Игра оставила после себя тучу приятных воспоминаний и желание переслушивать её саундтрек раз за разом, пока барабанные перепонки не лопнут!

Ніби й люблю цю гру, а ніби пк порт жахливий. Сама гра й без цього просто ок, крім незвичайного для серії ґеймплею особливо нічого й не виділяється. Якщо є можливість - краще грати на консолі, або хоча б на емуляторі. Але за 53 гривні норм, навіть з таким портом.
Сам експіріенс цікавий, хотілося б, щоб Арки й далі експериментували з різними жанрами.
Хоч і написано більше негативного, я все ще рекомендую принаймні спробувати цю гру. 53 гривні це ніщо, OST як завжди чудовий, як раніше було сказано цікавий експіріенс, та й просто дізнатись що за Сін і Валентайн також можна. І найголовніше - Izuna in strive when

Sadly an overlooked game in the series due to its status as an RTS game.

I was not overwhelmingly familiar with the genre when I played, but I found myself having an immense amount of fun, despite traditionally being a fighting game player.

If you are a guilty gear player, this game is fundamental to the series' story and the RTS gameplay is not as janky or strange as it may seem.

If you are an RTS player, give the game a shot! It's on sale often and from what I know, I think it offers a unique take on the genre and the story is still interesting even if you don't know the story of the rest of the series.

Actually pretty fun, has difficulty to it- a storyline that.... I don't quite comprehend due to starting on Guilty Gear Blazblue and then... getting this hah.... I like it though- it's definitely not the 2d fighter the other entries have been. Definitely is story-driven, if you like somewhat of a MOBA style game, this is it. 7/10 So far!

Game Over + Torture = "Overture"

É um ótimo jogo, mas eu vou te contar que eles fizeram cada aberração nas fases que fazem os caras que pensam em jogar esse jogo aqui chorar. Papo de mudar o jogo para um bullet hell ou uma batalha com mechas enormes. Infelizmente a campanha desse jogo é todo porco, mas o combate é legal.

Guilty Gear so good they made a sequel

The campaign is pretty cool and honestly better than Xrd and Strive's since you actually get to play missions instead of watching cutscenes for 4 hours. The actual gameplay is surprisingly good and can be difficult if you don't know what you're doing. Can't help but think of Batman whenever Sol speaks.

Guilty Gear running away from the formal. What could go wrong!? So for some reason there are a lot of video game companies that want to take their IP’s and try to make them something their not. This is a fighting game series. I understand when they tried to make it into an arcade beat em up. However they took them and lied to people by making this Guilty Gear into a RTS. Idk why. I get Guilty gear takes big brain to play, but this is such a big departure that is a glitchy and uncomfortable mess. Battleborn lied to its player base about being an not RTS and so did Brutal legends. If your purposely trying to make an RTS or have experience making one that’s fine but this company does not. It does not help that Fan favorite Sin Kiske is the only good thing to come from this game. It also does not help that this spin off game has important information to the story and has the Kingdom Hearts treat ment to make you play the side offs to understand what’s going on. Just watch a YouTube video. This game is not worth your time to slug through boring RTS rounds with 6 different characters. Thankfully GG goes back to the formula after this because I don’t want to ever play this again. 2/10

WARNING ABOUT THE PC PORT:
- Only supports Xbox controllers
- Game works best with a controller
- No graphics or audio options, make sure you can actually run this before purchasing
- Others have experienced a lot of crashing, although I only had the game crash once

The long and short of it is, play this game (or at least the story mode) if and only if you already have an understanding of Guilty Gear lore. However, in the end I have incredibly complex thoughts on this game, which I will list off here.

First of all, I do genuinely enjoy the game play on offer. While it's not a traditional fighting game, Daisuke's vision led to something entirely unique that takes a bit to get used to but is incredibly addicting once you understand it. However, the best missions in the first half of the campaign are the ones that are just multiplayer missions against the computer, with many boring and frustrating levels in the first act. The campaign doesn't really "get good" until around mission 10 or so, both in gameplay and story. Also, if you aren't a Guilty Gear fan, you will have absolutely no clue what is going on, so in that case I'd say don't even bother with the campaign mode unless you already understand the story of these games. The story itself is alright, it leads into Xrd well and has some good moments, but it is a bit poorly defined and not at all self contained. Overall I'd say pick it up on sale at some point, and give the gameplay a serious chance. Apesar do gameplay dele de tower defense/musou meio truncado (é muito ruim correr e de combar, em comparação aos jogos de Dynasty Warriors), mas é bastante estiloso, com ótimas música e uma história envolvente, especialmente para quem é fã de Guilty Gear.
Penei um pouco em algumas missões, mas valeu a pena conhecer esse jogo.

So I only did the main Story so far and its honestly really amazing. It was story heavy and the game play was super enjoyable. I went into the game with 0 expectations of it being good but i was pleasantly surprised by how the game was. Of course a controller is easier to use when playing this game (at least it was for me) and despite being a little shorter than I would've wanted the 20 missions were very enjoyable especially the final boss! Nothing in the game is too complicated and its explained well through the rules and conditions of each mission I'm normally really bad at meeting requirements but the constant A to S ranks were easy to obtain due to its easy functionality.

I also really enjoyed the way Sin got more story towards his character I love Sin already from XRD and Strive and other media ive seen from him but Overture gave me a brand new perspective to his character that I also really enjoyed. Learning about Sin before the events of XRD and Strive is so wonderful to me and it really does bring my opinion of Sin higher which makes me excited to see him in Duel Rulers when it comes out in April.

His and Ky's relationship was also really nice to see develop during the game too I never expected the start of it to be like that and honestly it really puts into perspective how much has changed over the years/weeks which take place in the game. I like that part a lot in the game it really showed off a lot of character for both of them even if it was only for a short part of the game.

Overall I think Overture is genuinely I really good instalment for the Guilty Gear series though it may not be in the conventional fighting game format we know and love Overture ventures out of that safe zone and tried something different which I really do think worked well for it as its a very story driven game. The models and the world map are different in design in comparison to the other games but I also think that works well for Overture and its pretty in its own nostalgic way
I really do love this game and its sad that its so short.

I briefly played the free mission mode and its basically just the Campaign missions but you can play as the relevant characters in the game (including valentine) and I loved it honestly. I love Valentine so being able to play as her is a real nice bonus! <3

So the main gist of this review is I LOVE GUILTY GEAR!!!!

Guilty Gear 2 Overture é um jogo estranho mas incrivelmente não odiei. Guilty Gear Overture é para ser uma sequência direta dos primeiros Guilty Gear, porém, diferente de jogos de luta, a Arc System decidiu fazer um jogo estilo Musou, ou seja, um estilo de jogo que é famoso por você matar enormes quantidades de inimigos em um mapa com vários efeitos de destruição e tudo o que é chamativo para um jovem japonês médio. A sua mudança pelo que sei se deu pela compra da Arc System Works para a Sega e a Sammy, e Daisuke e sua equipe não podiam mais fazer jogos de luta no estilo de Guilty Gear, criando Overture e posteriormente outros jogos de luta que não tem nada haver com Guilty Gear como Blazblue. Sempre que eu via Overture de longe eu pensava que seria um dos piores jogos da franquia em minha opinião, mas eu estaria erroneamente enganado após jogar.

Guilty Gear Overture tem um combate musou misturado com um tipo de Hack N Slash, não consigo explicar muito bem, mas ele tem vários elementos de musou como criação de minions, itens que tem ajudam durante as defesas e ataques, porém com vários elementos de combate 1v1 que são bem feitos até. Você consegue gostar das lutas, não são totalmente horríveis mas não são tão bons como musous atuais ou grandes nomes desse gênero como Sengoku Basara ou Dynast Warriors.

A história é legal de acompanhar, por mais que a história de Guilty Gear não seja lá essas coisas, quando chega a parte que você começa a jogar com Ky você consegue sentir o quão épico é. E dizendo isso, posso citar as músicas que como sempre, Daisuke não importa o jogo, sempre faz músicas muito boas e épicas que se encaixam na temática do momento. Minhas preferidas com certeza são a remix de Holy Orders, Communication e Diva.

Para concluir, gostaria de citar que acho engraçado que até mesmo nesse jogo existe uma comunidade online de pessoas que ainda jogam, e eu gostaria de testar mais futuramente pois o jogo parece ser bacana de jogar online.

Overture talvez não seja o jogo de Guilty Gear que muitos desejariam jogar na época ou até mesmo jogar nos dias atuais, mas é uma experiência bem diferente com a franquia que me fez abrir um pouco mais a possibilidade de como seria Guilty Gear caso tivesse algum jogo diferente nessa pegada. Recomendo testarem, o jogo não é um dos melhores no estilo dele, mas também não é completamente horrível.

이 게임의 튜토리얼을 해봤는데 확실히 조작이 너무어려웠다 하지만 닌텐도 프로콘이나 엑박컨트롤러로하면 이해가되긴해서 하기편했지만... 적응하기엔 좀 걸린듯 ㅎㅎ 길티기어가 새로운걸 해볼려했으나 안타까운UI와 덜깔끔한인물그래픽이 좀아쉬웠다 하지만 게임자체는 롤같은느낌도있어서 재밌긴하니 골수 길기팬이라던가 일본어,영어가능하시면 킬링타임으로 꽤 재밌게할수있습니다 스토리도 괜찮았음 신키스크를 좋아한다면 그의 첫 등장인 작품이기도하니 그런점에서도 재밌게하고있습니다
