The ability to select control schemes helps when in my adult life of career and parenthood I can no longer recall combination inputs the same way I could as a child.

Cygames and Arc System Works nailed it. The addition of the Brave Point system makes neutral much more interesting, and the new combo routes are a blast. 28 characters at launch is a great roster size. It’s fast-paced but still rewards good footsies. The best fighting game of this generation!

In-game story, attack, intro and outro cutscenes are beautifully animated and there's a lot to unlock without having to spend additional money. 一部の例外キャラを除いてヒット確認が簡単でコンボに行きやすいし、必殺技がワンボタンで出るから初心者同士でも対戦が成り立ちやすいです
(スマート操作の事は忘れてください、某ゲームのモダンとは設計思想が違うので)

ただ、画面上で何が起こっているのか分かりにくいこと、バランスが悪い(特に一部の技が強過ぎる)こと、トレモが使いにくいこと[strike]、人口が少ないこと(それに伴うマッチングの酷さや攻略・対策の情報不足)[/strike]等々の不満があるので、おすすめはしません

Quite seriously, this is the best fighting game among the current ones in 2026.
This game doesn't have any of the complicated mechanics, inputs, or combos typical of fighting games. You don't have to sit in training mode for days to play online. You go through the basic tutorial, remember the character's simplest combos from that same tutorial, and you can play online comfortably, and even achieve the Master rank.

The game has a nearly perfect balance of difficulty and gameplay depth, as well as a very comfortable learning curve for beginners. Despite the game being very easy to pick up, the variety of situations in a fight doesn't suffer, and you can always come up with many different options.
The game balance is very good; there are characters that are easier and harder to play, but none are outright strong or weak.
Heck, even the monetization is reasonable here. The developers not only aren't trying to bankrupt you (looking at you, Street Fighter 6), but they even let you buy characters and costumes with in-game currency.

The only thing I don't like is the very limited offline content; there's practically nothing to do in the game besides online play. But that's the only flaw I've found in 200+ hours.
Play Granblue, it's a great game.

I highly recommend this game, as an avid fighting game player. It is extremely easy to get into and it currently offers characters across so many archetypes to pick up and play. Unlike other anime fighters, there is no burst in this game but there is brave counter and rage chain. These have both been adjusted for the better throughout the game's lifespan and also I would say that the battlepasses and the free unlockables from the character level ups, the rupee shop with the free earned currency, the story mode which is like a visual novel story and fighting and also the arcade mode, plus the mode where you fight these super juiced characters and the arcade minigames on the machines while you wait for a match, all make the game feel so much more than a fighting game. Furthermore, there is so much to do and learn from cool zoners like Vikala, rushdowns like Seox and Yuel, grapplers like Galleon and Ladiva and so much more. All the dragon knights are in the game, we have the Society members, there are Zodiaks like Anila as well, and even they interested Wilnas another of the six dragons. There is also Nier a member of the Arcarum and even Grimnir a primal beast. So overall, so many characters and these are just a few to name, they even added Sandalphon and Lucilius and if all else can't convince you, then Belial can make anyone buy this game.
Overall, this is the fighting game that just feels most like a game, you can even set characterss as your buddy to motivate you or pump you up after a match, or you can dress up as them in the 3d lobby (man I hate the sprite lobby in Strive and miss the Xrd lobby). And you can even collect their weapons ! It is a fun and easy interactive game to pick up, where the game rewards you for patience and clean playstyle that can still be extremely expressive. For example characters like Ferry can do setups with her ghost pets, Cagliostro can teleport and set traps everywhere and Narmaya has two sword samurai stances, So do not let the simple nature deceive you, and also the game does have both technical and simplified inputs and you can choose to use one or the other or both.
In short give the game a try and may you enjoy your journey in the skies.

Really great for beginner fighting game players. Combos are not hard/overly long and the game mechanics are easy to understand at any level and are universal across the entire cast. GBVSR is completely unique in atmosphere, presentation, character design, music, customization, and gameplay.
The gameplay itself is easy to learn but hard to master, and features a variety of gamemodes for both singleplayer and mutiplayer content.
Story mode, party games, survival challenges, profile/character customization AND classic competitive versus gameplay, all in one package. The netcode is quite good too, and features crossplay.

I really think this is an amazing product, and my favorite concurrent fighting game out right now. I've purchased it on another platform before, and had no regrets whatsoever about buying it again here.
This game, active as it is, deserves an even larger playerbase. If any of this, or what you've seen in the fanbase/marketing interests you at all, I can wholeheartedly say it is definitely worth your time. Get it!

Has to be one of the top fighting games I've played. I adore the character interactions, the variety of combos that every character can pull off, and the roster size is enormous.

The ability to play in multiple control modes is definitely welcome plus the slight damage benefit when using the classic inputs for special attacks is a nice little touch that incentivises learning those controls.

A wonderful fighting game with great music, characters and other gamemodes.
If this is your first fighting game (like it is mine), get yourself a guide to help you since sometimes it's a bit hard without one (I still ragequit 'cause sometimes I don't know what I'm doing). As with everything, practice makes perfect and even though I know I'm far from perfect, I'm better than when I started.
Don't stress if you don't get everything first try!
And if you aren't new to fighting games like this, then I think you'll enjoy this one too.
What I advise you though, is to change your button layout first thing. In my opinion the original layout was absolutely horrendous, but that's just me.

TL;DR: Una curiosa combinación de juego de pelea y RPG basado en un juego móvil. ¡Ta genial, maldición!

Dos de mis géneros de videojuegos favoritos son los RPG y los juegos de pelea. Pues bien, ¿Qué pasa si tomamos lo mejor de ambos mundos? Creo firmemente que ésta es la respuesta. Desarrollado por Arc System Works, y publicado por Cygames, Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising es un spin-off de lucha del popular juego móvil Granblue Fantasy, y secuela de Granblue Fantasy Versus, estrenado en 2020. Esta entrega contiene todo el material presente en GBVS, más varios personajes y niveles adicionales y jugabilidad refinada, Rollback para partidas en línea y hasta Crossplay.

ADVERTENCIA: Antes de continuar, esta reseña debe ser tomada desde un punto de vista casual; yo no soy un jugador profesional, yo no entiendo de cosas como Neutral, Hit Confirms, Okizeme, Meaty, y esa terminología tan rara que usan los profesionales, mi mayor anhelo con este juego es jugar partidas de Random Select, cambiarle la vestimenta a los personajes, disfrutar de la historia y escuchar la melodiosa voz de Cristina Vee saliendo de los labios de Charlotta y Ferry.

El juego tiene varios modos: el típico modo versus, para jugar con la CPU o con un amigo en a comodidad de tu casa; un modo árcade donde luchamos contra un cierto número de enemigos hasta llegar con un jefe final, un modo Historia, para disfrutar la historia con mecánicas de RPG; Entrenamiento muy completo para aprender a manejar a tu personaje, tácticas de batalla, combos, etc., un modo “Journal” para ver ilustraciones y desbloquear música, y por supuesto, un modo online para jugar con gente de todo el mundo. Se dice que el modo online funciona muy bien, aunque no puedo comprobarlo.

Contamos con cuatro botones de acción: Tres botones de ataque (L, M y H; o débil, medio y fuerte), y un botón U para realizar acciones especiales específicas para cada personaje, asícomo versiones EX de los ataques especiales. También hay varias combinaciones de botones: L+M por ejemplo, es el agarre, M+H ejecuta un movimiento tipo “Guard Break”, el cual puedes usar para rompe la defensa del contrincante si ves que se cube mucho, pero sólo tienes movimientos limitados en cada ronda; H+U es una burla de cada personaje. Cada personaje cuenta con su propio set de movimientos especiales, más un super, llamado "Skybound Art" el cual consume 100% de la barra de poder. Sin embargo, si se tiene menos de 25% de la barra de salud, es posible realizar un movimiento final llamado "Super Skybound Art", el cual, si termina la batalla, nos permite ver una pose de victoria alternativa.

Éste juego es especial en el sentido que, para hacer los movimientos especiales, se pueden hacer de forma tradicional marcando una secuencia de botones (236, 623, 214, etc.), o también al presionar un quinto botón dedicado + cualquier dirección, similar a Phantom Breaker Omnia. Sin embargo, dependiendo de la fuerza del ataque, las técnicas tendrán un tiempo de "cooldown", y debes esperar a que el movmiento recargue para realizarlo de nuevo. Hablando de PBO, los personajes de éste juego están en un modo Quick permanente, ya que también es posible conectar una secuencia de tres golpes con cualquiera de los tres botones, lo cual es realmente conveniente para alargar los combos y maximizar el daño. A fecha de escribir esto, el juego cuenta con un total de 39 personajes, incluyendo personajes base y DLC. Los personajes jugables son los siguientes:

• Juego Base: Gran, Katalina, Charlotta, Lancelot, Percival, Ladiva, Metera, Lowain, Ferry, Zeta, Vaseraga y Beelzebub.
• DLC (GBVS): Narmaya, Soriz, Djeeta, Zooey, Belial, Cagliostro, Yuel, Anre, Eustace, Seox, Vira, Avatar Belial y Lunalu (Mi favorita personal).
• Recién llegados en Rising: Anila, Siegfried, Grimnir y Nier.
• DLC (Rising, Ola 1): Lucilius, 2B (Invitada de Nier:Automata), Vane, Beatrix, Versusia y Vikala.
• DLC (Rising, Ola 2): Sandalphon, Galleon, Wilnas, Meg e Ilsa.

Pero un momento, falta algo, ¿Acaso no hay un Random Select en este juego? Calma, que no panda el cúnico, ya que para eso existe un pequeño personaje llamado Lunalu: ella es una artista que puede convocar a un personaje escogido al azar, mientras se limita a observar desde el fondo y dibujar lo que ve. Ya puedo decir que soy Random Select main.

[h1]GRÁFICOS[/h1]

Al igual que pasa con juegos anteriores de Arc System Works, como Guilty Gear XRD y Dragon Ball FighterZ, GBVS Rising usa Unreal Engine, y se nota. Los personajes son modelos 3D a los cuales se les aplicó un proceso llamado “Cel Shading” para dar a los modelos una apariencia 2D. Los escenarios son muy vibrantes y coloridos.

La música está okay, aunque hay algunas canciones buenas, sólo están ahí y cumplen su objetivo. Hay actuación de voz tanto en inglés como en japonés; en el primero… adivinaron, tenemos el regreso de Cristina Vee (Noel Vermillion, Shantae, Cerebella) como Charlotta y Ferry. También quiero destacar a Sarah Anne Williams (Linne, Peacock) como Cagliostro y el vozarrón de Patrick Seitz (Ragna The Bloodedge, Scorpion) como Ladiva. En japonés quiero destacar a Kana Hanazawa (Mayuri Shiina, Hakari Atsuko) como Zeta, Miyuki Sawashiro (Carl Clover, Raiden Shogun) como Katalina, Kana Ueda (Rachel Alucard, Yumi Fukuzawa) como Yuel, y Asami Imai (Tsubaki Yayoi, Kurisu Makise) como Vira.

[h1]HISTORIA[/h1]

El modo historia sigue de cerca de un chico (Gran) o una chica (Djeeta) que viven en un mundo de islas flotantes en un cielo infinito. Un día, el hogar del protagonista es atacado por un imperio malvado, el cual perseguía a una misteriosa joven que que controla una magia poderosa. Este encuentro el desencadenante de una gran expedición en una impresionante nave voladora para descubrir una isla mítica, la cual se dice que está en “La Frontera del Cielo”. En este modo es posible desbloquear armas y colores para equiparlos al personaje, más trajes alternativos que vienen como DLC.

Sin embargo, no todo es color de rosa, y aquí me veo en la obligación de hablar del elefante en la habitación: para tener todas estas mejoras y personajes extra… ¡hay que pagar otra vez por todo el juego! ¿En serio? De una. El juego es bonito y adictivo, como un juego que combina lo mejor de un RPG con un juego de peleas, no podía pedir más. Montones de personajes, jugabilidad adictiva y satisfactoria, música OK, Cristina Vee… estoy en el paraíso.
