Отличный представитель жанра P&C, к тому же хоррор еще и по серии книг "Мурашки" - фантастическое комбо.

Серия книг прошла мимо меня, однако короткометражки по ним в детстве я смотрел и они по-прежнему остались в моей памяти. Игра достойная, имеет зловещий саундтрек, мрачную обстановку, соответствующую жанру и пару раз даже меня напугала.

First time player here. I bought this game during the last Halloween sale and tried it before it’s removed. The moment I launched the game, the opening cutscene logo immediately caught my eye: Scholastic.

Wait a second… This looks familiar. Oh no.

Just a few months ago, I was browsing second hand books online and came across the most uncanny/disturbing book covers I’ve ever seen. So disturbing, I can’t forget the publisher's name: Scholastic. It was a vintage series called Animorphs, a kids' series, but each book cover shows a teen gradually transforming into an animal (or back) including a whale, horse, dog, eagle, squid, rat, bat, bumblebee, and even a worm. I was shocked, and curious, but in the end I decided not to buy those $1 books. I never thought I’d end up playing a game tied to this publisher later on.

Honestly, I was worried that a game from 2015 might be hard to play. Surprisingly, it's a friendly game with reasonable puzzles. I didn’t run into any problems until the photo imaging room, which is about 1/3 of the way through. The story is engaging, and the dialogue has some great moments like: “The only thing more permanent than tattoos are stickers. Stick carefully,” and “Having a locker so close to Math is more of a curse than a blessing.” Some lines made me chuckle.

It turns out this game focuses more on telling a solid story than on complex puzzles, avoiding mixing items and trying things on everything when you're stuck. Most of the puzzles are straightforward, one thing that stood out was the sheer number of objects to collect. By the end I had 8 pages of random items I never used after completing the game, and now I think it’s a feature: the game deliberately offers false items. Like in the Mall, you have to create a mannequin with a particular look to attract the evil robot police, allowing you to call the book author. You’ll tend to collect all sorts of women’s dresses, hats and footwear, but only one will actually work. Sure you can just pick the right one, but if you don’t know the answer, you’ll be picking up everything in a new area.

The story is intriguing, with some secrets hidden behind the right item or dialogue choice. The map is just the right size, so backtracking doesn’t feel like a chore. There are a few jump scares, especially around that puppet that escapes from the book, the tree man and gnome got me too, but the best scare comes near the end when you unlock the door in the candy shop. Clicking on the puppet, not knowing it [spoiler]surprises you as you leave the room[/spoiler]? Epic design.

It took me about 4 hours to finish 2 playthroughs, the first one around 3.5 hours, the second to unlock some fun achievements, thanks to the walkthrough guide on PSNProfiles. There were a couple of puzzles that were hard like the one in the photo room requiring a specific waiting time, and the candy shop math problem is annoying, but they weren’t ridiculously hard.

Honestly I wasn’t expecting this game to be this good, I had so much fun.

With the announcement of this game's removal for August 8, 2025 , I wanted to give some parting words to this amazing love letter to the Goosebumps Books Series, now presented as a Point and Click Adventure game. This game has soooo much iconic references from the books coming to life in this game and it blends together to create one big story!!!

The gameplay is short, would say 3-4 hours gameplay, but super engaging gameplay.

Pregi:
+ Grafica con colori brillanti e molto accattivante. Ha dei dettagli niente male
+ Audio un po' ripetitivo, ma pur sempre gradevole.
+ Durata che si appresta a essere ancora lungo (Non l'ho finito).
+ Qualche passaggio di trama tipo entrare in casa è soddisfacente
+ Atmosfera tipica di un HOPA e a volte è immersiva.

Great game. As a Goosebumps fan I was very pleased with how much of the art was reminiscent of the source material. It really felt like walking through a world drawn by Tim Jacobus (because he did draw the world). I was surprised by the sheer amount of options, paths and achievements. For a point and click game that isn't really popular, I was pleasantly surprised by the thought and care that was put into this game.

In conclusion, if you are a fan of Goosebumps or even a fan of point and click games and you've got some money and time to spare, this is not a bad use of that time. I have 100%'d the game after 8.2 hours and it was a very enjoyable experience.

어린이들의 공포소설로 유명한 구스범스를 게임으로 만들었습니다

초반부분 게임 플레이까진 재미있었는데 도중 카메라 암실에서
자꾸 게임이 꺼지는 바람에 진행이 안되어서 가이드를 찾아봤는데
정확하게....;; 1분씩 기다려서 사진을 꺼내지 않으면 게임이 진행이 안되네요..

그 외에 게임 클리어 방법이 3가지 정도 있다고 하는데
지켜야하는 것도 너무 많고 집어야하는 물건도 너무 많고 이래저래 해야할게 생각보다 많습니다.
가이드 못 보면 거의 방법이 없는 것 같아요..
각각 미로같은 경우도 해당 미로를 깨고나면 뒤로 가게 될 시에
바로 그 전에 분기점으로 돌아가주는게 아니고 여태 빙빙 돈 맵 만큼 뒤로 같이 가야합니다..;;;
왔다갔다 하는 맵도 굉장히 많은데 전부 맵 설명이 계속 떠서 확인 클릭만 오지게 눌렀습니다.

이리저리 너무 불친절한 느낌이 강하네요
서양권 분들에게 구스범스가 어릴적 추억이 있기 때문에 보정을 받은 것 같은데
구스범스를 모르는 사람에게는 이해 안가는 내용도 많고
특히 서양식 수수께끼를 위해 답으로 혹시 몰라 챙겨야하는 물건이 수십개가 됩니다..
(크롬비가 내는 수수께끼인데 가이드 참고..)
이걸 게임으로 하다보니까 어거지 퍼즐부터 버그까지
이거저거 불편한게 좀 많아서 게임 자체를 그렇게 즐기진 못했습니다.

우선 게임 좀만 실패해도 게임 자체가 화나서 스스로 꺼지는 버그부터
인벤토리에 아이템 백개씩 들고다닐 수 있는 게임이니
가이드 보면서 하고싶으신 분들께는 추천드리는데요..
이거 말고 좀 더 재미있는 어드벤처 게임 하시는 거 추천드려요..

Fall may not be officially over yet (I would say it is, given how cold it is outside, and it’s now December, but I wanted to end the season on a good note. Scouring through my library, I found a game I have loved ever since it was released, dealing with a franchise so closely tied to my childhood.

It’s a typical day for us; we just got out of school, and we’re ready to make our way home. However, this walk through our sleepy neighborhood is going to turn out more spookier than any other day. Monsters have decided to run amok and take over our town! Werewolves, ghosts, living dummies, gnomes, monster’s blood, and so many more horrors. Although, upon closer inspection, these monsters aren’t any ordinary ones. They are from the [i]Goosebumps[/i] books written by R.L. Stine. What are they doing out of their books, and can we put a stop to them before it's too late?

I remember playing this back in 2015 before the new movie's release, which I was really excited about at the time. What I thought was really cool about this game was that it acted as a prequel to the first film, helping give an idea of what Jack Black’s R.L. Stine went through prior. As a [i]Goosebumps[/i] fan for years, I adore this game. Growing up, I watched the original TV series more than I read the books, but I am starting to revisit the books. The gameplay is pretty straightforward; it’s a point-and-click adventure game with some puzzle-solving. The game is essentially a video game version of a [i]Give Yourself Goosebumps[/i] book where you decide what happens to the character, including a chance of running into the monsters. There are a couple moments that can be seen as intense, like when you are being chased after by Monster Blood, or even moving through dark hallways, full of red-eyed gnomes. One aspect I love about this is that the game is full of references to the various books from over the years, plus the achievements are named after several books, too. In addition to this, the art style is stunning to look at. I even saw someone say it reminded them of the covers for the books, and I have to agree.

I will warn people that some of the puzzles could be tedious and difficult, especially one where you have to develop a photograph. That one requires a good amount of patience. Plus, later on, Cronby the Troll will ask you to solve a riddle and hand him an item matching the description. It can all be a little tricky, but nothing too bad. If you have knowledge of the books, the puzzles can be easier. Other than that, as a lifelong fan, I have and always will love this game!

This is an amazing game that remains very faithful to the original source material. It is a point and click hidden object puzzle game, that has simple gameplay that doesn't overstay it's welcome. The art in the game is one of it's best aspects and is reminiscent to the 1990's goosebumps book covers. The gameplay is simple but it doesn't need to be too overly complex. I admit, the game isn't scary, but it makes up for it with very clever and rewarding puzzles. The OST of the game is phenomenal and one of the best parts of the game. The game mostly stays faithful to the books, but some of the puzzles don't make sense if you have read the books.
There are a couple things wrong with the game, however. One of the examples is a certain puzzle in the game, if you can even call it a puzzle. Basically, the puzzle has you develop a photograph, which is long and tedious, and has you wait 3 real life minutes. Also, the game is piss easy and most of the jumpscares aren't scary. Also, I think there isn't enough content in the game to justify a $10 price tag, but luckily the game is on sale for 99 cents most of the time, which is when I bought the game. Overall, the game is very well made and is perfect if you want to relive the classic goosebumps books.

Es ist ein ordentliches Adventure.
Kein klassisches Point & Click, sondern es ist alles wie bei einem Wimmelbildspiel, halt nur ohne diese Wimmelbilder.
Man sammelt sehr viel Krimskrams ein, den man leider im ganzen Spiel überhaupt nicht benötigt.
Das macht mitunter einiges am Spielspaß kaputt, wenn man öfters mal hängt und dann alles mit jedem miteinander ausprobiert.
Dadurch kommt man dann in Versuchung, lieber in eine Lösung zu schauen.
Die Geschichte ist auch nur Wimmelbildniveau.
Ich mag Gruselgames, aber Spannung wird leider kaum aufgebaut, weil es auch kaum Informationen gibt.
Es ist wie eine Gruselgeschichte aus einem Groschenroman, so als wenn jemand eine Geschichte am Lagerfeuer erzählt.
An die Steuerung kann man sich gewöhnen, da man mit WASD die möglichen Wege schnell beschreiten kann.
Die Steam Errungenschaften sind blöd gewählt, da man wohl mindestens 3 Spieldurchgänge benötigt, und einige setzen sehr spezielle Forderungen vorraus.
Da man auch nur einen Spielstand anlegen kann, ist das für mich keine Optionen, das wirklich zu versuchen.
Zu leicht verbockt man es sich nur durch eine falsche Aktion.
Natürlich kann man die Lösung im Steam Forum akribisch Schritt für Schritt abarbeiten, aber das ist total doof und pure Zeitverschwendung, weil so jede Lust und Spielspaß auf der Strecke bleibt.
Ich empfehle daher einmal selbst durchspielen, und gut ist.
Wie gesagt, das Spiel ist grundsolide und auch sein Geld wert.
Man wird seinen Spaß damit haben.

This is a fun point-and-click adventure game that provides some good scares for a younger audience. I think for the $10 price tag it's a perfectly serviceable game by all means. The puzzles usually feel fairly rewarding and provide a bit of challenge. Sometimes, however, it is not made abundantly clear what to do, and a walk-through will likely be needed to complete some of the more nuanced puzzles.

Apart from the usual issues I have with adventure games like this, the most infuriating was easily the dialogue every time the character enters a room. Whether it's the first or fortieth time you've entered a room, the character will repeat the same exact line when you do, meaning there's a lot of pointless clicking trying to skip unnecessary dialogue. This wouldn't be a huge issue in most games, but adventure games often rely on backtracking, and dialogue like this can inflate the time it takes to do that by quite a lot.

I'd recommend this game if you're new to adventure games and would like some tame horror mixed in, but if you think you'll be easily confused and will simply be frustrated playing, maybe try something else.

Un punta e clicca in prima persona vecchio stile, all'apparenza molto carino. Belle le descrizioni e l'atmosfera da Piccoli Brividi. Movimenti super macchinosi, per spostarsi da un luogo all'altro della mappa ci vuole mezz'ora, terrificante per un punta e clicca. I then proceeded to repurchase the game 5 years later and it brought back loads of nostalgia. For anybody reading this that's still in their childhood, please consider playing this game. I beat the game on PlayStation but it was a dollar so i decided to pick it up. This game is very good and I do recommend you get it. The atmosphere is amazing and the music suites the setting very well. The only real downside is that sometimes progression is hard because some puzzles are not very straightforward but aside from that it is basically perfect. So you really should get it. It won't take too long to beat but makes for a really relaxing and memorable day.

Reader beware, you're in for a mild scare but non the less a good time, if you're a fan of the series.

Goosebumps the game, is a mild point and click adventure game that packs a nostalgic punch with its a plethora of Easter Eggs. Some fans of the books and/or movies would be content with this game, but I grew up reading goosebumps books and had higher hopes for this game. It definitely teleports me back to simpler times but just as quickly the games over. The dead house location is a highlight but the second half mall location feels rushed when there is a vast amount of other Goosebumps universe locations and monsters that could've been utilised. That aside the characters used are well designed and the call backs to the books when relating to puzzles feels natural and satisfying, the movement of the story can move along nicely at times but at certain stages feels sluggish. Only worth playing if you're a fan of the series but the developers did a good attempt at converting what they could from the books.

This is SO fun! I was looking for something similar to Pink Panther Passport to Peril (which I loved as a kid) and this was just what I was looking for! Brought up a lot of nostalgic memories too of reading/watching goosebumps as a kid :) Casual, not TOO easy but not too hard, just right. Recommend!

I actually really liked this game. It's super fun to play through and also fun in repeat play through's if you try and beat it as fast as possible. then again, I don't like how slow paced the game feels near the beginning and how sometimes you have to go all the way from the neighborhood and back to the forest to get the mall keycard. The game can also freeze despite being pretty much a slideshow. these were my only complaints and I think this game is really fun to play.

Really well done! It's a game that can be enjoyable both for the actual goosebumps audience of kids + tweens to adults who used to be big fans. There are lots of references to the books, which was really enjoyable. Graphics are excellent, sound design is really good, and there's lots of thought put into the story and design. It's also not trivially easy like I was expecting it to be. I found myself getting stuck, then backtracking and really exploring all the areas. Good difficulty and hint system (plus there's an achievement for not using any hints!)

Incredibly fun! This Point & Click adventure game feels like you're playing through one of R.L. Stine's books. The puzzles in the game are surprisingly challenging. Very few puzzles are straightforward, and many of them will take several attempts to figure out. But when you do, it's such a rewarding experience!

I would highly recommend this game to any lover of Point & Click adventures, and I'd especially recommend it to Goosebumps lovers. The Easter Eggs alone are enough to make you geek out!

I recently had the regrettable opportunity to play Goosebumps: the Game, and I must say, I was puzzled by the positive reviews. Being both an enthusiast of point-and-click adventures and a former avid reader of Goosebumps, I genuinely wanted to enjoy this game. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a major letdown.

First and foremost, the navigation is incredibly frustrating. The interface feels outdated, reminiscent of a bygone era, and it makes painfully evident that the developers had overlooked modern design principles.

However, it isn't just the clunky mechanics that bothered me. The dialogue is dull and lacking in engaging storytelling. Instead of crafting a cohesive narrative, the game simply throws different monsters at you at every turn, as if playing a twisted game of creature bingo. This approach completely undermines any sense of narrative depth and leaves me questioning whether the writers had put any effort into the game. It feels as though they believed that good fan service equates to randomly placing creatures from the books without any purpose.

Speaking of monsters, the interactions with non-player characters and objects are virtually non-existent. Regardless of what you did, everything and everyone reacts in the same monotonous manner. Whether you gave a monster the shoe, the key, the cassette tape, or the smartphone etc... the response remained unchanged. Even throwing a piece of paper into the litter box resulted in the main character expressing disapproval of littering. It feels uninteresting, incredibly disconnected and even lacks realism.

To make matters worse, the main character is devoid of personality and emotion. Despite being surrounded by an array of monsters, ghosts, and creatures, he appears lifeless and unresponsive. It is hard to believe that he remains unfazed by the supernatural horrors he encounters. This missed opportunity for suspense and character development is disappointing.

Admittedly, the drawings and art direction are acceptable, offering some respite from the overall mediocrity of the game. However, let's be honest, appealing visuals can only salvage a sinking ship to a certain extent.

In conclusion, Goosebumps: the Game epitomizes wasted potential. It is an outdated and frustrating mess with lackluster dialogue, mindless monster encounters, and a protagonist who shows no concern for the horrors surrounding him. Save your time and sanity and find a different game worth investing in. Trust me, this one doesn't deserve a scream.

Pour être franc, le jeu est moyen. Et ce n'est pas dû au fait qu'il n'est pas traduit, qu'il n'y a aucune option à part le réglage du volume sonore, qui est d'ailleurs bugué puisqu'à chaque mort, il est réinitialisé au niveau par défaut qui est trop élevé. Non, ce n'est pas à cause de ces désagréments qui je mets une note négative.

Le jeu est aussi mal conçu. Dans l'interface déjà. Il n'y a aucun signe qui alerte le joueur lorsqu'il passe le curseur sur un objet avec lequel on peut interagir. Il faut donc cliquer partout pour savoir si oui ou non un élément fait partie du décor ou est utile. On ne fait plus les jeux point'n click comme ça depuis les années 80. Et celui-là est sorti en 2015...

Ensuite, il y a trop d'objets à ramasser. On se retrouve avec des dizaines et des dizaines d'objets (sans exagérer, on se retrouve vite avec 50, 60 voire 80 objets à la fin du jeu) dont les 3/4 sont inutiles (ne servent à la résolution d'aucune énigme). J'ai du mal à comprendre l'intérêt et cela pose d'autres problèmes.

En effet, l'enchaînement des énigmes n'est pas toujours judicieux. Par exemple, on a parfois accès à une pièce où il faut un objet spécifique pour passer, alors on se dit qu'avec les 50 objets qu'on a dans l'inventaire, on a forcément le bon. Hé bien non. il y a tout un enchaînement d'énigmes à effectuer ailleurs avant d'avoir le bon objet. Du coup, pourquoi donner l'accès à ce lieu tout de suite ?

Bref, même si j'ai passé tout de même quelques bons moments, il y a beaucoup de choses confuses, à cause notamment d'une réalisation pas à la hauteur. Il y a tellement de point'n click excellent à côté que je peux difficilement recommander celui-là.

Fun adventure game - minor complaints : one puzzle (to prevent spoilers - vaguely described as a maze in the dark) did not appear to be solvable through logical or hinted ways. Tried using hints on the screen, reverse hints, and backtracking nothing seem to work - had to follow the walkthrough. Also, some of the dialog puzzles seems to be hit or miss affairs. Finally, it took about 20-25 times repeating something to get "Be Careful What You Wish For..." and "Night of the Giant Inventory" achievements to fire.

I picked this up in a bundle and didn't expect much but it turned out to be quite engaging.

Pros
- Nice artwork
- Good puzzle design for the most part.
- The locations, especially the house were interesting to explore.
- You can save at any time.
- There are game-over scenarios but you can just click retry and it will start you from the previous screen (so basically and auto-save.)

Cons
-Unfortunately the game is made a lot harder for a couple of reasons
1. There is no hot-spot icon on mouse over. You just have to click and hope you find something. Even on some close up items there can be multiple different points of interaction and they are not always obvious. No show all hot-spot tool either unfortunately (only shows points of navigation.)
2. You pick up a ton of inventory items that you don't use. I had 8 pages of items by the end of game and it was a chore cycling through them to find the item I wanted.

Another case of "I wish steam had a maybe button". It's worth mentioning that I got this very cheap, so I wouldn't pay full price and I wouldn't say it's worth full price, especially when compared to other games around that price range. I've gotten full, all 40 achievements in 17 hours, and that was going very slow (I think I even left my PC on at some point), but it's still under £1 per 1 hour of gameplay, so I can't fault the length.

In terms of gameplay, it's an uninspired point-and-click adventure game. There's no hidden object scenes, but there are inventory puzzles that require you to use tools on certain objects to progress in inspired yet very convoluted ways. I appreciate that there are actual death scenes in it, which helped set the atmosphere knowing there were very real threats in this spooky game. Very reminiscent of "Jan Pienkowski's Haunted House" if you've ever played that from back in the day. I wasn't thrilled by it, and none of the puzzles were particularly challenging. It is largely a fetch quest - get the key to open the trunk to get the bolt cutters to remove the chain to get in the shed for the tool for another puzzle, that sort of thing.

But that's not what people care about here. And that is that it's a game based on Goosebumps - and it does that very well. There are dozens of references to the childhood books, and even if you've only read a couple, you're sure to find a reference in here somewhere that you recognise (There's a large section not shown in these screenshots, and multiple endings/ways to accomplish things).

I really enjoyed it because, well, I really enjoyed goosebumps, and it manages to give a nod to each story without completely milking them in a "HEY, REMEMBER GOOSEBUMPS? THIS IS GOOSEBUMPS, LOOK, YOU GUYS LIKE GOOSEBUMPS, RIGHT??" kind of obnoxious way that relies heavily on nostalgia. So honestly, if you're a fan of Goosebumps, it's worth it to buy, maybe even at full price if you don't play many games. But it really depends on how much enjoyment you'll get out of the game's setting and the fact it's based on that universe.

But it's always worth knowing and mentioning that you can get this game at 80%~ off in most Steam sales, or officially licensed key stores at a much lower price, so I'd strongly recommend that instead of the full-price product. Just because it's fun, but maybe not £7 fun.

📗 You don't expect much when you get into the prologue, especially after getting acquainted with a bit strange controls. However, the further you go, the more interested you are. The game manages to create a great teen horror atmosphere. The puzzles are pure madness, but most of them aren't devoid of logic. The character can pick up dozens of items almost from the very beginning, which makes you a little lost. Of course, this doesn't play in favor and complicates the solutions, but having sorted out the local approach a bit, everything falls into place. You want to check the environment and move on (if you are here for 100%, then you can’t do without guides, some secrets almost impossible!)

P.S. Haven't played point & click games in years, but have been eyeing this one for a while (reminds me how fun they can be). I vaguely remember the show & the books, since they were left in my early childhood, but this game deserves a sequel. R.L. Stine rules!

La verdad, le tenía más esperanzas cuando lo compre, pero sí me decepciono.
En cuestión de arte, y presentación, lo ame, realmente es un título nostálgico, reminiscente a aquellos juegos point and click de los 90's. Literalmente cada pantalla nueva a la que entras es un deleite visual con un montón de detallitos. En cuestión de gameplay, es bastante sencillo nada fuera de la formula de este tipo de juegos, eso sí, me encantaron los controles, no tuve la necesidad de estarle picando a cada cosa que quería investigar. Sin embargo eso fue lo único que me gusto del juego, los puzzles caen en el moon logic para resolverse, el inventario es inmenso y puedes terminar el juego usando menos de la mitad de él, hace falta un indicador que te diga que y que no puedes examinar, vas literal picandole a cada cosa con la esperanza de que sea la siguiente parte de algún puzzle. La historia es prácticamente inexistente. Y al no ser un gran fan de la franquicia de Goosebumps no alcanze a ver muchos de los detalles que el juego ofrece a los fánaticos del juego (de a haber sido fan quizás me hubiera gustado más.) Al final del día, fue un material promocional para la pélicula del 2015, y en ese aspecto cumple su función, el juego está bien, y si eres fan de los juegos de puzzles point and click, o eres fan de Goosebumps, quizás este juego es para ti, pero si no cumples niguno de los requisitos, quizás no seas el público para este juego. Igualmente el juego es muy barato en oferta, así que si gustas comprarlo, adelante.

Goosebumps is a great point and click horror adventure. There is so much references and items from the books in here that a Goosebumps fan would be going crazy trying to pick out all of them. There is some great monsters in here too, with the main antagonist being Slappy which is a must. There isn't too much to this game, its quite quick but is a short and sweet game that doesn't require too much for 100% apart from some clever puzzle solving. 7/10

I have always been a fan of the books (spooky is as spooky does), but this game is great on its own.
