Я не понимаю откуда столько позитивных отзывов. Да визуальный стиль интересный и необычный, но геймплей слишком простой буквально нажатие одной и той же кнопки и все на этом. Музыка не цепляет, более менее нормальных треков всего 2 и они надоедают очень быстро. Как писали до этого убивалка времени, причем слишком простая. Потенциал у игры мог быть большим, даже просто добавить различные направления для бега увороты и т.п уже дало бы игре большую реиграбельность.

ТЕМ БОЛЕЕ ЦЕНА игры которая проходится за 100 минут цена в 4 100 тг или 663 руб СЛИШКОМ ВЫСОКА.

Брать по скидке 95-99% и то когда попробовал уже вообще все что только можно.

A pop in and out focus tool. At least that's how I've been utilizing it lately. It's perfect for when you're feeling chaotic and spread out and need to hone back to a concentrated point. Strangely, the faster it is, the easier it is for me to anticipate when to jump. It's a singular button press that you can change to either hold and release to jump or press when you want to jump. The options menu does in fact have accessibility settings albeit they are named fancifully so you might miss that that's what they are. Change the visuals a bit and some other stuff. Click around and configure it, you know? lol Anyway, idk what else to say. I just really like the focus it gives me coupled with the stylized minimalism and music choice. It's good ♥♥♥♥!

A one-button accessibility nightmare. The game indeed can be played with 1 key (hold to run, release to jump, hold when mid-air to land faster). However, the camera position is fixed and everything glows or pulsates. I have reached the third level where the floor textures became slightly more complex and I could not see where the said floor ends.

The music is not bad, but distracts from the game.

While there are difficulty options, I cannot tell what difference they make.

There is no further context why or where the avatar runs nor is there any story.

Fotonica is a minimalist first-person runner that’s basically “speed and focus” distilled into a game. The movement is the whole point, and it feels great when it clicks. When you nail a section you’ve been failing for ten minutes, it’s pure dopamine.

Don’t expect a story-heavy experience. The game is more like an arcade challenge with atmosphere: abstract spaces, clean geometry, and a sense of falling-forward into the next checkpoint. It’s surprisingly tense for something that looks so calm, because every mistake is immediate and usually fatal.

Difficulty ramps quickly, and that’s both the charm and the warning label. Early stages teach you the basics, then later ones turn into “learn the route or die” obstacle courses. I don't understand how this has very positive user rating on Steam. You always run straight ahead and there's only one button to use. Only eight very short levels of around 1 to 2 minutes each. The graphics are most often vector-like in black and white lines unless you go fast enough. Then the lines go yellow. The electronic musics are lame, repetitive and are not dynamic enough to motivate. You're much better off playing any other first-person parkour game, like Mirror's Edge which is great. I did not play 6 hours of Fotonica contrary to what time on record shows. I was idling for cards long ago. I played around 30 minutes and had enough. Plus to add insult to injury, Fotonica is way too expensive at regular price.

It's apparent from the first stage that it's more about jumping at the right place at the right time than it is about reflexes. You can't see too far ahead either so it becomes a bit of a memory game. Replaying that second last stage over and over again with the two out of sync synthesizers felt like torture. Only a 10% completion rate too and it's not a long game.

Fotonica is a very interesting take on the auto-platforming genre. You are set in motion forward in the first person perspective and utilizing a single button, determine your path towards the end, or not in endless mode. It feels very cyberpunk-y, like it could easily belong in one of those cyberpunk 2077 game cabinets as a minigame (too bad that didn't happen). And while I enjoyed my brief foray into the game, I didn't feel like there was enough there for me to want to keep playing. Maybe a more interesting progression system and unlockables could have, but then the game would have to go from being a short indy type game into something more commercial. I don't think that's what the devs wanted. I prefer the endless mode over the arcade mode, though the latter provided the most interesting visual audio experience. Give it a try if it looks interesting to you. You may even recoup most of the game's price by selling the steam trading cards you'll get as I have.

Let me preface this by saying I like this game's aesthetics and its absolutely OUTSTANDING music. I also enjoyed memorizing and optimizing my routes in stages to reach the coveted 10k point goals for each. It can be genuinely tough but also pretty fun nailing a run on higher difficulties.

However, this game is not without its many, many issues.

For one, its settings/options are incredibly vague and sometimes can prove detrimental in certain areas. If you select FLAT in QUALITY, then discerning where to jump in the game's final stage, ROMOLO, can be near impossible. Furthermore, using FLAT with the COMPLEX SKIN on, the first stage can give those with epilepsy headaches or eyestrain due to the train tracks below being a bright gray that contrasts with the dark background; so, when they move really fast below you as you run, it just looks like the lower-half of the screen is rapidly flashing black and white. Additionally, for me anyways, trying to lower the sound effects' volume didn't do anything, and just played them all at normal volume, save for setting it at 0, which muted them.

Not to mention that the game tries to advertise itself as a game that can trigger a state of "flow" within the player, like an endless runner game similar to Subway Surfers.

But this is nowhere close.

After jumping you can press the jump button again to descend down more quickly. However, both it and the jump height fluctuate in how long you remain in the air, leading the player to over or underestimate landings frequently. Fotonica gradually increases how quickly you move both on the x and y-axes, compared to other endless runners, which only alter how quickly you move on the x-axis. A lack of consistency leads me to play worse and often blame the game due to it forcing me to adapt on the fly to physics literally changing as I play, all the while expecting intense precision.

The sound effects can also be loud and incredibly distracting at times, yet I had to keep them on considering how helpful the audio cues are in telling the player when they land. But that's the only time they're useful.

The golden sonic boom sound is annoying, distracting, and way too loud. The landing sound effect cycles between completely different genres to a distracting degree. The footstep loop that always plays when running pans left and right depending on which foot is hitting the ground, and yet they play in the left channel twice at one point in the audio and I couldn't unhear it. The most annoying part was my inability to disable the grunts, which cycle between male and female with, again, no options in selecting even a preference to your ear-based torture. There's no consistency in the sounds, and because of that, combined with their loudness and/or their lack of satisfaction, rarely could I ever just relax when playing, instead putting all of my focus into it like I was in an e-sports competition. I am considering learning Unity purely for the ability to edit this game's sounds because I have new ones on standby ready to go.

However, if none of this deters you from buying and/or playing it, listen to my advice:

- Take frequent breaks to reduce headaches, as even with better settings, the game can still cause eyestrain or headaches
- Try to tune out the less important sound effects; focus on the sound effect that plays when landing most
- Use a mouse, as that's what the game was made for
- If you still want to use a controller, make sure to go to Steam Inputs, click D-Pad, and make sure the game registers the D-Pad as the left stick so you can navigate menus easier and faster

Finally, look at the settings below for the best experience possible:

QUALITY: FLUID
HANDS: OFF (they're incredibly distracting since they divert your attention from the path in front of you)
CONTROLS: NORMAL
INPUT DELAY: -10
SKIN (when playing ARCADE stages): COMPLEX
SKIN (when playing ENDLESS stages): PURE
MUSIC (when playing ENDLESS stages): 0 (just play your own music in the background and save yourself the sanity loss)

Not sure how I managed to never hear about this game until a couple of days ago, but I'm glad I found it.

It's an arcade/endless runner that's super minimal in both appearance and gameplay (you literally only have to use one button), but it surprised me with how thoughtful and complex the levels can get, especially on the higher difficulties. It's also visually and sonically pleasing, with a nice accompanying ambient electronic soundscape.

Definitely get this one if you're at all interested!

Есть проблемы с читаемостью окружения, особенно на некоторых уровнях и в "золотом" режиме, когда достигаешь 60 м/s. В целом понравилось.

I really wanted to like this game, because the gameplay is easy/simple to get while being enjoyable for anybody, music is fine for what it is, and it looks visually nice when it's in black & white, but whenever you go into the "gold mode" for speed something about it from the distortion upon entering that speed to the bright piss yellow gold color around everything it feels like you're staring at a neon sign of a labyrinth while you're trying reading heiroglyphics underneath it.

Genuinely nauseating for me, and it's been the only game in my life to do this. Never had this happen to me in Mirror's Edge, Super Cloudbuilt, Verlet Swing, Clustertruck, etc.

- 糟糕的镜头晃动且无法关闭。可能开发者本身的意图是通过晃动增加跑酷的沉浸感，结果弄巧成拙。本来几何图形就比立体动画要抽象，现在加上镜头晃动后，晃来晃去很难集中注意力，特别是进入加速状态的瞬间，还会同时切换颜色，导致根本看不清路，失去了跑酷游戏本该有的爽感。
- 模式单一，地图少。
- 手柄断联严重，甚至是无法连接。只能反复重启游戏，5次里可能可以成功连接上1次。

1인칭 시점으로 진행하는 달리기 게임. 점프하고 달리면서 점수 기록하고... 뭐 그런 게임입니다. 특징으로는 속도감과 벡터 스타일 그래픽 정도고요. 못만든 게임은 아닙니다. 완성도나 플레이 메카닉스는 별다른 문제가 없습니다만, 저는 별 감흥이 없네요. 벡터 스타일 그래픽이 주는 감흥은 가시성 문제로 금방 묻히고 카메라 흔들림 강도는 어찌나 쎈지... 뭐 그렇습니다.

Однокнопочный 2D ранер. По скриншотам особо непонятно чем является. На Playstaion 2 была игра REZ, к слову которую выпустили в стиме, мне показалось что это подобная ей игра. Как оказалось, это больше похоже на рекламу музыки неизвестных авторов. В режиме аркады сложность платформера может резко варьироваться. Например последний уровень в этом режиме представляет из себя бег по прямой, с небольшим чередованием платформ на которые нужно прыгать. Другие режимы рассчитаны на кооперативную и бесконечную игру. По ощущениям, никакой релаксации от игры не получил.

FOTONICA это стильный раннер с крайне простым управлением и графичным дизайном уровней.
Игра похожа на кошмар чертежника переработавшего в автокаде. Визуальный стиль запоминающийся, но не сильно удобный и разборчивый. Могу сказать, что мне понравилось, но всем я рекомендовать бы ее не стал. Игра получилась очень сильно НА ЛЮБИТЕЛЯ с уклоном в минимализм.

Игра содержит:
- 8 аркадных уровней
- 3 бесконечных забега
- режим разделенного экрана для соревнования в беге по арканным уровням
- для каждого уровня свой электронный саундтрек и свое оформление
- 4 вида сложности достигаемое за счет скорости
- 1 час геймплея на прохождение всех аркадных уровней
- одна кнопка управления и 2 способа управления
- русскую локализацию интерфейса

Игра сделана с любовью, но каких-то великих идей или глубокого смысла я в ней не обнаружил.

First off, this is an incredibly aesthetically pleasing game. But let that not deceive you in to thinking that there is no real game here.

Simple, easy, and quite fun gameplay to pick up, but with a high skill ceiling to truly mastering it, so it continues to be interesting for quite a while as you try to go faster and faster and beat your own times and scores.

Controls are very responsive and the game runs smoothly.

Music is good and sound effects are well done to match the visual aesthetic.

Overall a very fun game with quite a lot of polish and replayability.

The easiest game to learn, and insanely hard to get good at. Even though it has only a few levels and game modes, the game can be replayed and speedruned many times if you are into that stuff.

Interesting experience but the fact that you need to stop pressing a button to jump instead of pressing one makes it disturbing to play without any advantage.
Also you can not see the far enough so there are some die and retry trope that feels frustrating

I am 32 years old.

My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old.

When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing.

Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side.

With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay.

After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like.

Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends.

Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together.

Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that.

The simplistic art-style,dark theme,and the whole atmosphere with the fast-paced element are so damn good and stunning. The few levels represent quality over quantity. It's addicting and hard but fair. I think it's the best endless runner game of all time so far.

A fun game to play. I recommend it. While you're here, Please enjoy this pie recipe:
Ingredients:
1. 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
2. 1/2 cup white sugar
3. 1/2 brown sugar
4. 1/2 cup water
5. 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
6. 1 pinch salt
7. 5 apples -peeled, cored and sliced
8. 1 pastry for double crust pie
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F ( 220 degrees C )
2. Combine butter , white sugar ,brown sugar, water , cinnamon and salt in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, remove from heat and set aside
3- Roll out half the pastry to fit a 9-inch pie plate. place bottom crust in pie plate; pour in apple slices
4. Roll out top crust into 10 inch circle. Cut into 8 ( 1-inch ) wide strips with a sharp paring knife or pastry wheel. Weave the pastry strips, one at a time, into a lattice pattern. Fold the ends of the lattice strips under the edge of the bottom crust and crimp to seal.
5. Pour butter-sugar mixture over top of pie,coating the lattice, and allowing any remaining sauce to drizzle through the crust.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees F ( 175 degrees C ) and bake until the crust is golden brown , the caramel on the top is set and the apple filling is bubbling, 35 to 40 more minutes. Allow to cool completely before slicing

Since this game on Sells, the prices was cheap, and review good review, I give a try. After try 3 difference mode it provide, my conclusion is I rather play subway surfers on my phone. Don't get me wrong, the game was decent but since the gameplay and graphics so simple, it much fun to play via portable and touch screen device like mobile phone because standard horizontal PC monitor not suitable with this type of game making it not enjoyable enough.

Basically subway surfers or any other mobile runner but:
- no running sideways, only forward and jumps
- one-button controls. Really, press any key to run, release to jump.
- 3 game modes - arcade (fixed levels), endless run, and... versus?
- no upgrades
- no motivation since no upgrades - there are some collectibles and score system but that's rather to let you know whether this run was better than previous, although why would you want to re-attempt completed arcade level.
As for me, I also find level design and some mechanics rather annoying.

Fotonica is great. I used to play this i primary school in prolly 2015-2016 on the lousy school AIO's. This game was on a website called ABC Me or ABC kids (i can't remember) and i'd waste almost all of my lunch breaks playing this game. It was absolutely godly and so much fun, so when i saw this game for just $3 and i immediately bought it and the nostalgia hit me hard. thank you so much for this game

Oh my Word!

I played this game 18 years ago and I loved how simplistic and strangely alluring the graphics become as you increase in speed.
Today this game revived the same feelings as back then. I love it and captivates me all over again!
Please make more games like this. I sometimes like the quick 'escape' from everyday life that this game provides without having to learn a ton of mechanics and controls which as I get older, sadly have less and less time to master.
