Bastante bueno dentro del género de survival. El juego al que más recuerda es Subnáutica, pero con dirigibles, en vez de Submarinos.
Lo juegué en Early access y claramente la versión actual ha mejorado algunas cosas.
La música es decente. Los gráficos están bien y la historia, si bien es sencilla, al menos consigue lo que pretende.

Una experiencia interesante, lo recomiendo.

It's a survival-based building game where your base flies around with you. There is a small amount of combat. There is some good music and such. It's not as visually vibrant as Subnatuatica.
The story is good with a choice at the end,

Here is the one thing that I wish I had known from the start. Don't be afraid to make a big airship. At the start, you are weight-limited, so it has to be small, and at a point, you get your base-building tool, but WHILE IT EQUIPED, you can upgrade your balloon, or you can just build a 2nd Ballon (not an airship). I didn't see the upgrade option until I was most of the way through the game. I had the smallest little ship. And the base building would have been more fun if I had seen this earlier.

Otherwise, you land on busted up building, run around, grab items, and repeat.

Things that were annoying to me:
-You can NOT label containers or automate them in any way that I saw.
-To build ship modules, you have to research them, but that is gated by these little research disks. Personally, that just meant I had a boring ship because I didn't want to tediously farm these items, because I might need them for something story-driven or a new tool. -By the time I had a good collection of tools, shelves, storage, and plants, the game was basically over.
Overall, if you like these types of games and are not too afraid of heights, it's worth checking out.

Honestly, the game started fun and fresh, but very quickly became repetitive to the point where I would actually fall asleep playing. Couldn't bring myself to even finish the game. I personally didnt find the tutorial very good either but thats just me.... I guess. The premise is good but seems like the basics were done to get the game out there and then... after a few houts, you find yourself doing the same things at different locations and the reuse of structures, copy and paste??? you be the judge.

Its no subnautica, despite taking heavy inspiration from it.

The movement is a bit... off? Like I cant place my hand on why, but it does not feel smooth.

The airship feels pretty fun enough and the exploration is alright, despite areas repeating.

Overall just a little Mid, but still fun to play if you are the kind of person to enjoy a cool setting.

Przyjemny survival z ciekawymi mechanikami, widać że twórcy mieli sporo pomysłów niestety jak w wielu grach znajdziemy głupotki które po prostu frustrują. Gra początkowo może wydawać się nieczytelna przez hud, inventory i fabułe ale po czasie wszystko trochę się rozjaśnia.

Very SubNautica based feel indeed. That is not a bad thing at all, with the way bases and exploration work here.
Runs great, nice visuals and unique looks between night / day / above the dust / below the dust.
Couple of things I just have to address concerning some recent negatives I have seen.
1. Airship control. There is no design flaw or mistake in the control. Lateral movement key point here. Even modern IRL Airships ( blimps / dirigible ) do not normally have lateral movement engines. Lateral is normally a docking move handled by ground guide lines. Navigation of your Airship is a big part of this. <shrug>
2. Inventory space. Yep. It is weird and limited. Design plan. Simple. Plan your expedition. When you think on it, it makes sense.
3. Combat. Think SubN type. You're not there to destroy the world / critters. It's not the fighting genre.

I think this is another good fill in waiting on SubN 2. Enjoy. :)

Forever skies is a story-driven adventure/gathering/crafting game similar to subnautica. Unlike subnautica, your base is an airship that you pilot in order to explore the world. I just returned to replay the game and found there were noticeable updates since launch. Highly recommended as it's on a big sale right now.

I played the first early access of the game and the premise was really good.
I heard they released 1.0 so I gave it a go, and 75 hours later, i can really recommend it.
Its a balanced game, yes its true that some parts are easy and some a mind-nerving, but overall its a very good game. for a survival game based in the sky ( yes I am biased with having a enormous airship at my command) it ticks all boxes i want in a game

Wir haben das Spiel zu dritt gespielt. Macht super viel Spaß, auch wenn einige Aufgaben repetitiv sind und die Story sicherlich noch ausbaufähiger wäre. Ich persönlich würde mir mehr Automatismen wünschen, weil das Lagern von Items ab einer bestimmten Anzahl ziemlich unübersichtlich werden kann. Aber die Devs arbeiten ja noch aktiv am Spiel, vielleicht kommt da irgendwann mal was. Hat mich sehr unterhalten! :)

I did have to debate whether I wanted to give this a recommended rating because I'm just on the edge. But I think there's enough here to warrant one, but just barely.

This game feels like it's a good solid foundation for what could be a better game. It's not that what's there is bad but it feels too lean. The game is frankly just way too easy. I played on the Hard mode and I had no troubles whatsoever. In fact the only time I died was when I hit a bug that ejected me from a closed elevator. Resources are overly abundant and there's basically no challenge in trying to find and use resources. I started the game in a hyper scrounging mode until I realized that everything respawns and resources are everywhere.

You could probably put a fair number of hours into the game trying to unlock all the discovers and tower types. And the game has a lot of customization options for your airship but I couldn't help but feel like what's the point. There's not all that much to do in the game and investing a lot of time in an airship when there's not a lot to do with it just seems like a waste of time.

And the ending zone was quite a let down. That felt like they just phoned it on and they left a bunch of really important questions unanswered.

I'd recommend the game on sale and to keep your expectations low. Maybe they can fill out the game more. Or a bigger sequel would be welcome.

This is a game, which i would call aggressively mid.

[b]The cool part: [/b]
[list][*]The airship/blimp building. The idea behind it is fun. The building system is, well not great, but good. The looks you can achieve, the items you can display, look good and thematic to the game.
It is fun to drive it around the block.[/list]

[b]The bad part: [/b]
[list][*]Flying the airship is hard. You get stuck easily, since there are no other camera options, just the from the cockpit view. They could have added, as some mid game tech, some drone cameras or something for this purpose. Instead, we got an unstuck airship option to the menu.
[*]Stamina: even though there is barely some combat, there is a stamina system. Your max stamina is really low, recharges really slowly, and the max can go lower temporarly, based on your rest level. And there is no way to increase the maximum. Fully useless system, which just ruins the gameplay.
[*]Oxygen: there are areas where you need it. Ok, generic surival mechanic. It runs out fast, but you can recharge it with items. Ok, generic surival mechanic. But, even though you have to craft an oxygen tank, there is no option to build bigger ones, or increase it's size. Even though late game dungeons are longer, and your inventory space is extremly limited, you have to carry a ton of recovery items. Because why not.
[*]Inventory space: it is really small, so you have to constantly run back to your ship to unload your stuff. You can increase it? Yeah, by one row early game, 2 rows at endgame. And you will have to carry more stuff with you to progress, so basically, the increase is used up before you enter the dungeon/exploration area.
[*]Combat: it's just bad. You can hit enemies with knife or shoot them with crossbow. You can run away to avoid attacks. That's it. Rare but terrible and boring.
[*]Trade: there are 2 ingame stores, where you can buy and sell stuff. But, they are hidden in dungeons, have limits on selling and hard to access. And you have to haul a full inventory there, which is not much stuff.[/list]

Everything else, art design, sound desing, story, lore are just uninteresting/boring.

I had hope for this game, since i really liked the idea of building a moving base, especially a cool airship, and exploring a game world, but sadly, it was a dissapointment. Luckily, the game is short, so you can finish it in a week.

I really wanted to enjoy this game, as I love the concept. The idea of building a blimp is cool, but that's really it.
Building is a bit of a stress: you either have to build your blimp super wide to move your blimp balloons, or hover above a platform and add your new rooms from below, which is super tricky, especially in 4-player co-op. I found myself logging in to single-player just to sort the base out for my crew, because it was a mess to do while 3 other people were running around eating moths.

Piping is VERY close to being okay, but it's really rough to get right (luckily, I consider myself an expert in base building games, so I figured out a way to make them functional and look "nice")

Combat straight up sucks in this game, and the optimisation is garbage. I was averaging about 25 frames in multiplayer on Low 1080p with DLSS set to Performance, which also made my experience miserable.

I'm glad I played it because I really wanted to, but in the grand scheme of things don't really bother if you don't either love the genre or have a good group of friends to increase the enjoyment <3

It isn't that I dislike it, but I would not recommend it. With the caveat that I've only played about 2 hours, I have to say I'm not really feeling like I want to play much more. This is so very like Subnautica and its kin (allowing for its obvious reskin) but it's less polished and a little unintuitive compared to so many other examples in the genre. Once you figure out what the game wants you to do, it's a little too easy, but repetitive. The grind for materials feels tedious and progression feels more like a chore than a rewarding activity. I can't quite put my finger on what doesn't work precisely; maybe it's just that lots of little systems feel a slightly off. And maybe it's just me; perhaps you'll think it's fine - more power to you. These games work by letting you figure out what to do from contextual clues, but while so many others do this smoothly and with evident care, Forever Skies just feels a bit clunky. It isn't a bad game, and you might well enjoy it, but it doesn't stand up in comparison to the many other options available - any of which you would likely prefer to this.

i think this game definitely deserves a positive review. it's a passion project that's rough around the edges on certain spots but overall it's a very beautiful and chill game. you hop on to your sky base and move around whats left of the earth's towers and skyscrapers while managing food and water, and upgrading your ship and equipment. you can build rooms and compartmentalize them however you want, decorate them to an extent, have a garden full of different plants, and a kitchen and a storage room and a research room if you want.

i would say landmarks are fairly unique and different from one another, at least the types of towers (so a garden tower will be like all other garden towers but different than a wind turbine tower, and there is fair number of poi's to visit this way).

upgrading your equipment and ship parts is satisfying, managing your survival is business as usual. expect nothing revolutionary there. but there is an interesting disease management mechanic and related sub systems in the game. like using a virus analyzer machine to produce a vaccine and then injecting yourself etc.

story is mildly interesting as well. interesting enough to expect from a game like this that is. don't expect lovecraftian worldbuilding here (or maybe do? :3).

i really don't understand all the hate towards this game. i think it's beautiful. sunrise and sunsets create incredible vistas visually. i usually sleep during the day and explore/do stuff at night because the game is so beautiful at night.

my only few negative criticisms could be summed up as follows:
- i felt that progression pacing was a bit off sometimes. while playing normally, you may not find the blueprint of something very important for a very long time. and it would turn out that i had to visit a specific tower to get it, and avoid all the inventory hurdles or other similar mild annoyances if i did that. but that's partly on me. this can change from person to person but i feel like the location of some blueprints should be made more obvious to the player. so small issues with item blueprint pacing i would say.
- game is a bit stuttery sometimes but it has definitely improved over time. regarding both early access and 1.0. we have much better optimization now but there is still room for improvement.
- resources felt abundant to me. i was playing on normal difficulty and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ felt like i was drowning in resources. but that was partly due to my play style. i am a hoarder. i tend to hoard a lot of things in survival games like the long dark, subnautica, pz etc. but thankfully there is a slider setting for these mechanics in the game so i will give that a shot on my second playtrough.

that's about it. and none of these criticisms were enough to stop me playing it. the thing is though i would suggest that you take this game slow. in this day and age of players being programmed to drill and churn through the content as fast as possible, if you rush through this game you will not enjoy it. just chillax bro and take in them sweet vistas. check your water collector, take a sip. cook a dust moth and eat that. check your ship for damage. check your database entries and read the ones you haven't read. then check the next thing you need to do. check your resources. collect resources if you are low on them. wait for suitable weather before traveling. complete your blueprints before really venturing out. and take on missions slowly. explore everything. read every entry and collect every item.

that's how you will enjoy this game. don't rush through content. listen to the chill music and just look around.

I am a streamer and really big into survival games and have played 100s of hours in them style game. This is a great game but sadly it is so glitchy and hard to fly the air ship, At lest with my set up and i play a lot of higher end games. Never had a issue until this game. Its not even using all my gpu, cpu, or ram and still glitchy. The game will lock up and drop you a lot as well. Now the start of the game runs fine but as you get into the game the more glitchy it gets so sad for such a great game

Edit/correction to my review after receiving developer response: The game is procedurally generated.
One last remark I have, I hope the devs continue working on this game, I could see it improving like NMS did after more time in to oven. I'll be checking back on it in the future.

(short version)
The bones to a good game are here but it needs so much more polish. If you go to one tower you pretty much have gone to them all (this is so factual) in both exploration and loot. So many missed opportunities to make this game even better. $30 is highway robbery for what has been released at current date.

(long version)
I bought this game in Early Access due to overwhelmingly positive review score. I hate to say it but I think you should have kept it in EA. This game is not procedural but the copy and paste assets make it feel that way which is very disappointing. The mission log does this up and down jump which is highly annoying and can't be disabled. There are so many missed opportunities with structure destruction as every building you go to is about to collapse, there could be so many more interesting interactions. I'm not a fan of a simple thing like "walls" being locked behind progression (never found them btw). Ultimately, in the end I dropped the game because after seeing the 10th(+) copy n' paste asset with the same inventory inside it, I said to myself I'd rather play world of warcraft.

The good: 1) Really interesting world, very interesting mission (i wanted to do it).
2) Moths appropriately creeped me out when they were in a flock
3) Airship design looked so interesting (I wish I could of actually done more).

The bad: 1) Not procedurally generated but you'll wish it was (every tower is like the last).
2) Missed opportunities (you're cautioned to find a place at night but nothing happens, i.e. even moths swarming your flashlight would be cool)
3) Very slow exploration (not just speed but finding upgrades to progress the mission)
4) The mission tracker/to-do list bounces up and down when you have too many missions
5) The music is pretty much one note (very few tracks).
6) I read in a review the developers are planning to re-do/rework the world, if this is true this is another reason to keep the game in EA until it's complete. The players are not the beta testers when you release a completed product it is your best foot forward. To paraphrase Gordon Ramsay this is your signature dish when you send it out, it's your signature on that plate.

Got to say that I like it. Used to play No man's sky, Subnautica, Voidtrain, Icarus and a few others and Forever Skies has really grown on me. If you like games like the ones I mentioned I recommend you give this a chance. It's a bit different sure, but still enjoyable and interesting.

It was a bit strange to start with, but it's a very enjoyable game. The concept is a bit different to other games of this type, being always airborne in an airship (the planet's atmosphere has been polluted, now called The Underdust), landing on various platforms only to get resources. As progress is made, the airship can be upgraded to be larger, faster and go higher.
Co-op is great, but has some limitations. For example, only the host can activate certain actions; and communicating about what to build and which resources to get and use could save some frustration.

I truly love this game. I have clocked hundreds of hours on it, mostly offline, playing through several different stages of development, and I always feel better after playing. For context, I am disabled and unable to pursue even indoor hobbies so I play a ridiculous amount of video games to live vicariously.

First, this game satisfies my deep need to explore, to find new places and gather resources. There is a good variety of locations, proceedurally generated to increase variety in layout and resources, and the number of sidequests add extra variety and small puzzles to be solved to progress. As it has entered the later stages of development there have been added amazing, beautiful locations and combat that is thrilling, and sometimes frustrating at first on hard, only to give you upgraded combat tools by the end of the first combat stage that makes it easier, without it being too easy.

Second, the storyline is compelling from the beginning, but for me, the random bits of story found on 'data pads' throughout, giving you a peek into lives long past, or the ones sent from your family, they touch the heart and give so much life to the world you feel connected despite there not being any other living humans (yet).

During its progress I have watched so much being added, so much quality of life, so much customizations, silly fun things, everything. I love this game, so much. I play a bit of everything, and have over five hundred games in my steam library, and yet this one is one of my absolute favorites. I can see myself going back to it again and again and again even after it is finished and I have completed all the content.

10/10 buy this game.

This game runs into the famous Mass Effect issue where both endings were not what people wanted.

Before I Black Pill the audience let me say that the game is simple, yet, has some *excellent potential*. An update to give players a third option to the ending, where it is difficult to achieve but possible, avoids the current state of the game where whatever choice you choose there is still blood on your hands - genocide level.

The ending will make or break a game, and something that is uplifting gives people the desire to play it over and over again. Something like the Witcher style of choices married with this art style is too serious for how it markets itself.

[u] You have a gem here [/u], it just needs another choice endgame, please. You do that, Hell, you could role out endless DLC where you start pushing the mist back and fix the planet with the invitro children and Ark survivors truly making a kinder and better world.

I challenge the makers of this game to make the best of humanity shine through.

In single player mode in early access it runs mostly fine and is a likable game, though I have my gripes with the endings.
In Coop-mode the known ladder bugs make the game effectively unplayable for the non-host and those are known issues that still haven't been fixed :(
That thing with the ladders in Coop is a really big issue since exploring and climbing are core mechanics in the game, hence my thumb down though hopefully not forever!

Starting off with the negatives the performance at times did drop at some place(watching the smog disappear and freeze my game before loading it back in) but not enough to stop me from having fun and completing the game. and trying to connect pipes for sprinklers could be hair pulling at times trying to get it to run up corners to walls or the roof.

the positives are everything else to me the music was great, building the zeppelin was fun, and the ending had me firmly going one choice until i got to the last mission. If you're looking for a game with not a lot of combat but good gameplay I highly recommend this!

War eine sehr gute Idee. Aber schlecht umgesetzt und das nach so langer Zeit trotz der großen Worte...man wolle daran arbeiten. Ich bin ja ein großer Fan von entspannenden Spielen (Subnautica, Planet Crafter etc.) aber Sry… das Spiel ist selbst für mich einfach alles andere als Fesselnd. Wer gedacht hat , so wie ich…, schön Luftschiffchen Designen…. Wenn ich Backstein Design haben will… dann doch lieber Lego.

Liebe Entwickler/innen das Spiel unter, Hatt gut angefangen aber wir habens einfach verbockt, ablegen. Zugegeben lange nicht so schlimm wie Diverse andere Spielchen dieser Art aber schon nah dran.
