Storyline

Flyknight tells the tale of a squire of the order of the Flyknights who is assembled to vanquish the witch Lunamoth and lift her curse, which is preventing the denizens of the realm from growing wings. Now separated after an ambush, the squire arriveth at the village of the swamp folk and pledges to see the mission through, either alone or teaming up with other fighters summoned to help along the way. neat little game. the first person view and limb based combat differentiate it from being "just another soulslike". The graphical style is also super neat especially with dithering turned on. The combat enforces aim in a melee system which is really cool. I wish it was a little harder overall and that it mattered for the bosses, though, since I only really started engaging with the system by the end. Same with fishing, I never felt like I had to use a fish buff to overcome an obstacle. Worth an evening or two!

The combat is good, the worldbuilding is thoughtful, and the game has its own unique personality. I wish the game was longer though. I finished the game and got 100%, but I keep longing for more FlyKnight!

This game is a great example of how just a couple of design decisions can completely change the experience a game gives.

There's a lot I like about the game, I liked the areas and exploring, the variety of weapons, different damage types, limb damage and targeting, block / parry works really well, the fish and fishing system, the bosses are good pattern based bosses, the games story and lore.

BUT all this undermined by how laborious movement in this game is, firstly general movement is too slow, normal movement needs to be about 75-90% the speed of sprint and then sprint faster than that.

The bigger issue, and one that amplifies the first issue, is the stamina system. I have no issue with a stamina system in a game like this, it is the norm, however the stamina regeneration is far far too slow. Everything you do uses stamina, swing a weapon, fire a bow, cast a spell, parry, sprint, so you are constantly using and the slow regeneration time means you're spending most of you're time waiting for stamina to regen. No matter how well I tried to manage it I was constantly running out.

There were many times were I would exchange a few attacks and a parry with an enemy and that would drain my entire stamina leaving me unable to attack or block / parry again or even run away. In a single 1 v 1 it's manageable but still frustrating, when you're dealing with multiple enemies, there will be times you have multiple ranged and close enemies to deal with, it can become infuriating. There was a point in the city section I almost gave up on the game.

Equipment has stats and you're essentially balancing stamina with protection but the problem is the stamina regen is so slow by default that it doesn't really make a difference. The only time there was a noticeable difference was using the daggers, there may be a bug with some weapon weight stats as I would notice that when changing a weapon you would see the weight stat change but not when you remove a weapon.

The game is very short, it took me 3 hours to complete. The game feels like a prologue or proof of concept for a bigger project and I do think there's potential for something really good, heck THIS would be really good if it didn't have the stamina / movement issues.

I do look forward to seeing what the devs do next and if you're thinking of getting the game just have a really good look at gameplay footage first.

Выбирай каким классом хочешь, любишь быть танком? Пожалуйста бери броню, молот, либо алебарду и колечко на отхил за счет отрубание конечностей. Хочешь быть мобильным и быстро наносить атаки? Не вопрос, возьми клинки, лук и колечко на увороты и все будет как по маслу. В общем игра стоит своих денег, особенно со скидкой. Советую!!!

The only crime this game commits is that they dont have more content. Perfect gameplay loop that rewards timing and stamina management, theres plenty of weapons and magic tucked into every corner for you to find your playstyle, without any of them being too over powered. This game was great with friends and I love the friendly fire mechanic as I dont think a single fireball I threw hit anybody else, even when I tried to hit an enemy. The only thing that was game breaking is when some enemies would fight two people at once, they would only attack one person ever. Then after the target player died, the enemy would still fight the dead body. They fixed this in one boss area but didnt add it to other enemies, so an easy fix could work.

In the three hours it took me to beat the game, I felt like i was really there in the boss fight past the plant, And i had a lot of fun with the spell and especially had fun with the halberd's.
The dragoon fight was very inspiring.

A couple glitches where I lost my entire inventory or my barrel of fish or my chest of items. So I've replayed the game more than once. Finding all the fish wasn't too hard but I googled where to find it and it turns out it was a weapon. cool. Love the art style and the dead world. It was quiet, dark, eerie, and fun. I had a blast in the game. One of the best games of 2025.

This is an amazing game and worth the money. the story is nice and just the atmosphere, level design and overal astetics are really nice to me. I found this game because of IronPineaple (ofcourse). but still recomend it!!!

However the Stamina is a bit annoying, i haven't found a ring to increase it. Stamina is ofcourse 'needed' but imo it runs out to quick and sprinting while not in combat is a bit of a pain with it.

Great game. I'm not really that experienced in souls-like but I'm guessing it must be a great and easy introduction into the genre based on how I was able to beat it and find most secrets in less than 5 hours. Played it solo but I'll probably replay it some other time in co-op. It was a nice cheap short experience and I had a lot of fun! I would love to play a sequel or expansion some day :D

The aesthetic really drew me in at first because the music and graphics are wonderful. The gameplay on the other hand was a let-down. I beat it with a friend in about two hours but it got repetitive after only the first hour. Combat is slow and unrewarding and you usually don't need to change up your strategy all that much once you've figured out what works. There are ways to be better but they never feel necessary and the game is so short that most people are going to finish before they feel the urge to employ them.

My biggest problem is exclusive to co-op. Enemies always attack whoever they see first and won't change targets, sometimes even after the initial target has died. Meaning if your friend enters an arena first, everyone will swarm him while you can effortlessly whack away at them from behind and they will do nothing to stop you. This goes for the bosses as well. I think the game would be a lot better played alone which is a shame because co-op was the whole reason my friend and I bought it. If you're planning on playing alone though, it's probably a decent three hour romp, but nothing that will blow you away.

I went in expecting some silly fly game but it ends up being this amazing love letter to old school RPGs like kingsfield. If your into slower paced combat and great levels to explore I highly recommend.

A game that delivers exactly what it promises and at a fair price. If you can get it on sale even better. The combat was engaging enough to hold my attention but I'd have to say it is not particularly difficult if even I could beat it. It's fun, it's short, it's sweet, it looks like Runescape. Buy it if you want to have a fun 5 hours and there's even some replayability if you want to dry different weapons and spells.

There aren't many games where I can battle a wasp samurai, a pillbug brawler, and zombie flies all in the same level. Sometimes the game feels a bit slow (walking especially), but the atmosphere is excellent. I dig the parts-based combat, i.e. it's satisfying to take out an ant's bow arm. Once I got an onion estoc it was over for the plants and bugs which got in my way. I do wish the game was a little longer, but I also appreciate developers who have a good sense of scope.

Finished this game with my partner and absolutely loved it! It's quite short, and we wished it was longer but still a great purchase since we'll most likely replay it at some point. There are some issues where for some players the final boss is unbelievably easy (this was the case for us) but there's still plenty of challenge in the other bosses and the rest of the game.

Was skeptical about this game until a 9 foot tall bee themed samurai jumped out to fight me
I was rewarded with a sunflower helmet along with the rest of the armor. (Yes looks exactly how it sounds)
Turns out there's a cult who worships sunflowers.

Pleasing retro visuals-- it invokes in me what I think a first person POV in Old School Runescape would be. The gameplay and item variety is good for how short the game is, but the stamina bar is pretty unforgiving if you aren't too keen on resource management. Dialog and story was compelling, although everything happened a bit fast. My least favorite part of this game is how short it was, but the price was also cheap so it evens out.

Me and my buddies bought this game and had a very fun and memorable night playing it. It only took us about 3 hours to beat but it felt more like 6 hours (in the best way possible). I honestly wish there were a lot more games like this, but I understand that it takes love and devotion for these kinds of things to pop up. So I recommend you give this game a try with some buddies and cherish it.

FlyKnight was absolute blast to play. Each area feels really distinctive and there's quite a few number of different common enemies to content with and also fun bosses that all feel interesting to contend with. The style of the game is really distinctive and a delight.

My partner and I had a blast during our play thru, and I'm low-key hoping I can get my other friends interested to play with them, too.

Randomly this game grew on me, I was really not enjoying it for the first 3rd. The second bossfight and last boss fight were very cool

Here is the problem, there is no exp system or stat upgrades in this game, meaning the difficulty is completely dependant on the gear your find. (Which is plentiful and easy to find). I ran thru literally every enemy in this game, it was so trivial to side step them and manage your stamina to get to the next plentiful bonfire.
Game obviously heavily inspired by Souls which is fine. But like I said there was little to no incentive to engage with the common enemies

With that being said there was very little reason to build up armor or different classes. Only on the second boss did I need to rethink my armor / weapon / spell combo and then I beat him on the third try when I figured it out

The movement is truly awful and worse than it should be, hitchy and slippery and chunky in the worst way. I was able to master the platforming but felt like I was in mud

The map design is very linear and not exploratory at all, there is obvious side rooms / towers but again you can just run to the loot and run out. No incentive or sense of danger in overcoming or earning loot

Overall I was in the end, charmed by the experience, the vibes and visuals do so much heavy lifting. Lots of weapon and amor variety which was surprising. Overall the experience is highly hindered by the poor game and map design. There is enough bones here that so much additional content could have been added, all the asset and story work was done.

Oh well. I ended up enjoying my experience although short. If you go in with an open mind its and ok liltte afternoon jaunt. Weak reccomend

Боевой процесс имеет фишки по типу отрубания конечностей, но в соло-прохождении он оказывается слишком неторопливым. Приятно, атмосферно, приземленно

The people who gave this game a negative rating are silly billy's, get the game its funky and artistic. I got kicked 2 times during a 3 hour session and it took 30 seconds to get back to where I was. At the time of this post multiplayer may or may not work, myself and several other people reached out via the official discord to ask about this and the Developer responded say "sorry that this is happening to you, there is no anti piracy code to speak of, it's a multiplayer issue that happens sometimes
usually people try again a different day and it works" another user reported that trying another day did in fact work for them. This being said having to essentially flip a coin and say "will multiplayer work for today" isn't something as a consumer we should have to even worry about. A key feature of the game that might be working on any given day is a problem that the developers dont seem to care about or show any intention of fixing. past posts in the discord show this has been an issue since at least the beginning of december. They are basically showing selling a broken game and dont care about it. Do not recommend supporting someone who will not take the time to address a key feature of their game

Super fun, combat was just the right speed with great weapons which encourage tons of different playstyles, the enemies are super fun, a great experience all around. you will get your moneys worth i can assure you.

Great game. When I saw the trailer I though combat looks mediocre, but I trusted the reviews. This is a great game, if I knew how good it was before buying I would have paid 15, combat is great, wish it was longer.

A very nice bite sized game with a lot of charm, perfect for when you want something to play without having to invest too much time or money. If you have $6 laying around and don't really have anything else to do for an afternoon, I would 100% recommend picking this game up.

Summary: I loved the game. I really enjoyed the simplicity of the story and the uniqueness of the combat. It's not super sophisticated or overly complicated game. It's not a replayable game but it is fun alone or with friends from beginning to end. Hope honestly to see more added to this game or another made by this developer. I would recommend getting it and playing it full price or on sale.

Story: Not much too it. It's told by the unique, interesting character's along the way.

Bug's: Lol there where some in the game but not the kind that breaks your game.

Gameplay: You fight other bug's and bosses, you fish, you platform a little bit.

Controls: Different than a normal hack and slash with a bit more added to using your sword and shield, bow, daggers, etc...but not overly complicated.

Combat: Don't know what I would call it hack and slash I guess. Really fun. There are some reuse of enemies but not much.

Music: Really good.

Sounds: Combat or otherwise. They are good. I have no complaints or overly annoying sounds.

Achievement: Game can be done in one sitting the last fish is very easy to miss I would look up where it is.
