From an outside observer new to the franchise (which I'm playing mostly in release order), Far Cry 2 always sounded like an outlier for the long-running series. Lacking its predecessor's sci-fi campiness and future games' cinematic setpieces and extensive voice work, it's a systems-driven shooter about being an amoral mercenary in a brutal African civil war. Out of curiosity (and the fact I bought it in a bundle almost 15 years ago on Steam), I decided to take a stab and see how well the game has aged, and walked away impressed, if slightly baffled, by this odd duck of an FPS.

The first challenge was getting the game to work. Far Cry 2 used extremely advanced tech for the time, and it's clear that stability has suffered on newer systems. I experienced constant crashes throughout my entire playthrough; there's a mod called the Far Cry 2 Multi-Fixer that is well-regarded, but by the time I found it, I was halfway through my run, and it's advised to start fresh when using it. As a result, while it helped, I still had issues the whole time, so be warned if you plan to give the game a shot.

Once I got it running, though, hoo boy. It's hard to overstate how impressive Far Cry 2 is on a technical level for being from 2008, and some of its features stand out even now, eighteen years later. Guns reflect light that filters dynamically through canyon cracks; grenade blasts shake trees like a hurricane; enemies are flung off their feet by taking .50 caliber bullets to the chest. The game prides itself on immersion, and it shows. Most impressive are the fire physics, which a programmer later admitted they had to tone down because they could consume the entire map during development. Throw a molotov into a field of dry grass and the flames will spread through the entire field, dynamically consuming anything in their path. Enemy AI reacts accordingly, meaning this can be as useful as a distraction as it is a weapon if one's being stealthy.

Gunfights feel punchy and raw, befitting the gritty setting, and that's good since there's going to be a lot of them. Most missions ultimately come down to wiping out a bunch of dudes, but responsive foes and aggressive mechanics keep things interesting. Far Cry 2 is a game about friction, and for the most part, it's to the effect of greater texture and immersion. Guns jam and degrade, especially those in poor condition, both for the player and the enemies. Take a hit, and you can recover with a quick syringe - take too many, and it's a longer animation to dig a bullet out of your hand or reset a broken bone, leaving you vulnerable for longer. If enemies see a vehicle, they'll get in it and try to run you down; if their own weapons break, they'll chase you with their machetes.

That said, the line between immersive friction and obnoxious frustration can be blurry, and the game definitely veers into the latter at times. Every checkpoint is populated by rapidly respawning guards and pursuing jeeps, which means just getting around grows exhausting. The map, despite ostensibly being open, is mostly made up of mountains and valleys, meaning that it's hard to extensively travel off-road and avoid these engagements. Worst of all, the player is beset by malaria, which affects their stamina and visibility if they don't keep up with medication. This is novel, but the problem is the only way to refill is doing the same repetitive 'deliver passports for the underground' mission.

In general, Far Cry 2's greatest weakness is tied to its greatest strength, in that the lack of structure begets serious repetition. Systemically, the game is satisfying, but its themes of corruption and foreign mercenaries weakening a country they have no business being in fall short when the plot is so lightweight. There's a 'buddy system' where you can perform secondary objectives for other mercs, but they're interchangeable and barely characters. The primary antagonist, The Jackal, mostly just shows up to make the player look like a dunce then elaborate on his vague manifesto, so there isn't much of a hook there, either.

Despite these problems, I think there's a lot to appreciate about Far Cry 2. I've always been a proponent of games that are willing to keep a bit of coarseness in the name of depth, that don't sand off every edge in an attempt for mass appeal, and Far Cry 2 commits to this in spades. Sure, the respawning enemies and laughably explosive vehicles can be a little awkward, but when I was cursing at my jamming uzi while desperately sprinting out of the way of an oncoming jeep, or knocking back malaria pills to steady my aim while in a tense sniping shootout with a warlord's bodyguards, I felt what the developers were going for, and I liked it. Though it's a bit of a pain to get running on modern PCs, there's value in the game - even if it's just to see a time when Ubisoft was less obsessed with mass appeal.

O jogo ainda é muito bom, zerei ele tem mais de 10 anos atrás e eu não lembro dele ser tão bugado assim, MUITOS bugs, bugs que atrapalham a gameplay, agora mesmo eu estava só dirigindo o carro pra uma missão e o jogo simplesmente fechou na minha cara, antes eu estava em uma sala e tinha que falar com o NPC, ele ficava teleportando e passei uns minutos só pra conseguir começar o diálogo, como o jogo é antigo eu sei que eles não tão nem ligando de arrumar os problemas, então uma coisa eu digo pra quem for jogar, SALVE CONSTANTEMENTE e tenha paciência.

Итак, эта игра просто ужасна. Во-первых, пролог совершенно не имеет смысла , первые враги такие же нелепые, многие NPC просто проваливаются сквозь пол или глючат, а моя «любимая» часть — это самое начало, когда нужно найти оружие и лекарства в доме и сохраниться (что, как ни странно, работает только через синий ящик, а не через меню). Происходит какой-то странный баг, и ничего не работает! Это настолько плохо, что приходится начинать всю игру с самого начала, и если не следовать порядку (предписанному «старой доброй Ubisoft Montreal»), то дальше просто не продвинешься.

… В итоге, могу сказать только одно: из всех игр Far Cry, в которые я играл лично (1, 2, 3, 4), эта — худшая. Конечно, это всего лишь моё личное мнение, но я бы всё равно поставил ей 4/10. Почему не ниже? Проще говоря, в игре довольно интересное и уникальное место действия, и да, некоторые особенности, такие как поломка огнестрельного оружия, выглядели довольно круто в видеороликах на ютубе , но в остальном игра довольно плохая. Могу ли я её рекомендовать? Я бы сказал, скорее нет, чем да. Конечно, у игры есть некоторые преимущества, но, на мой взгляд, недостатков гораздо больше, поэтому я бы никому её не рекомендовал.

Ran this game without issue from the get go. No performance issues to speak of either.

The games setting, presentation, visual style, theme, story, characters, weapons and mechanics all work towards one common goal. To make you as immersed as possible and to make you feel as empty as possible. The game is bleek and depressing. There is almost no hope for anyone involved and only evil thrives.

You select one character to plays as (but I do not know if anything changes other than the companions) and have a lengthy intro. Then you are introduced to the few games mechanics in a timely manner. The map is huge and divided into 2 parts with each having multiple points of interest and one central area. There is a lot of visual storytelling - more than what is told. So this game is a slow burn. If you add the mentioned depressing tone you get one hell of a cocktail.

Weapons jam and break, you treat injuries, fire spreads insanely fast and far, vehicles break down and companions can be killed easily. Malaria is also there to keep you on your toes and when it starts to hurt you it is usually at the worst of times. Control points are plentiful and patrols are insane. What I hate about them is the insane quick rate at which they respawn. To bypass most of them the night is your friend (and even that is not consistent).

I would talk about the story more but there is not much to talk about. It is a baseline for the future installments of the franchise - one that was too experimental for is time. While the main antagonist has some quirks from later much more famous names I believe he is above those as he does not work on a script. He does not feel like an actor on a set trying to get your attention. This feels raw. Insane, but raw. There are almost no good guys. The few that are good usually end their lives in one way.

This game is trully uniqe in the entire franchise. It managed to be experimental, to lay the groundworks for future games in the franchise and yet it is something that the studio will probably never return to again. Rarely will any company try to create something this risky. I have my issues with the gameplay that it is unpredictable, unfair and too cumbersome. But somehow, whether intentional or not, this plays into the entire package - the hostilility towards you is also meant to make you not want to play. But you still do...

Far Cry 2 to gra, która ma świetny klimat, ale nie każdemu podejdzie.

Największy plus to klimat Afryki – świat jest duży, wygląda dobrze i daje poczucie swobody. Strzelanie też jest spoko, a różne detale jak zacinające się bronie czy ogień, który się rozprzestrzenia, robią fajną robotę i dodają realizmu.

Z minusów – fabuła jest raczej słaba i mało wciągająca. Misje szybko zaczynają się powtarzać, a ciągłe jeżdżenie po mapie potrafi męczyć. Niektóre „realistyczne” elementy, jak malaria czy przeciwnicy pojawiający się w tych samych miejscach, bywają po prostu irytujące.

Gra niestety ma wiele błędów, dużo więcej od pierwszej części. Musiałem kilkukrotnie restartować grę, czy zaczynać od początku ponieważ postać mi się zablokowała...

Ogólnie to ciekawa i klimatyczna gra, ale momentami trochę nużąca i nierówna.

Koukám, že moje vzpomínky na tuto hru jsou extrémně zkreslený, nebo mi v tý době nevadily tyhle OTRAVNÝ mechaniky hry.
Nějaká hloubka nebo komplexita prostředí mi vůbec nechyběla, spíš mi vadilo nadměrný množství cestování, jak autem, tak pěšky.
Milion checkpointů a nepřátel dělají cestování hrozně otravný, ale bohužel je toto tak 70% hry. Zbytek je OK střílení a debilní příběh se špatně napsanýma dialogama a nepochopitelným rozhodováním hlavní postavy.
Ve hře je element rozhodování, který ale nemá doslova žádný následky. Postavy jsou nudný a nezapamatovatelný.
AI nepřátel je 50/50, chytře se občas nepřátelé kryjou, ale zas když kolem nich projedu, tak se jejich jedinej cíl stane mě zabít - za každou cenu (což je velká část mýho problému s cestováním).

Mám celkově rád FC sérii a chtěl jsem si znovu zahrát tenhle díl, kterýmu bych z paměti dával alespoň 7/10. Nicméně po dnešním dohrání bych nedával víc, než 4/10.

Gyűlöltem ezt a játékot egészen a végéig. Az elejétől kezdve folyamatosan idegesített az apróságaival meg az értelmetlenségével. Pórbálom nem mai szemmel értékelni, hanem általánosságban. Mivel a Far Cry 1 tetszett, így gondolom ezt is tudom objektívan értékelni.

A főhősünk érdektelen és szerencsétlen. Beviszik egy afrikai országba, ahová nem mehet be senki, tehát ez már gyanús mindenkinek... Elkapja a nulladik pillanatban a maláriát. Az első hotelszobában lekapcsolja Sakál és lebukik, mert van nála egy pisztoly (mondjuk ez még abban a környezetben normális is lenne) és egy dokumentum is, amiben az van, hogy öld meg a Sakált. Könyörgöm, az odaúton a dokumentum tartalmát nem lehetett volna memorizálni? Ezek után a főhősünknek se saját véleménye, se dialógusa, se érzései nincsenek. Mindenki utasítgatja és azt csinál, amit épp valaki mond neki. Teljesen függetlenül bármelyik harcoló oldaltól, vagy céltól, ami megoldhatná a konfliktust mi csak ott vagyunk és kavarjuk a szart. Nekem nagyon hiányzott a narratíva, hogy az egésznek adjon valami célt és értelmet.

(A játékos dönthet egy csomó esetben, ami mondjuk jó gesztus,,,,,, na de erre most kitérek.)
Tehát a döntések... Kapunk egy FŐ feladatot, meg utána rögtön csörög a telefon, hogy van egy jobb ötlete valamelyik "barátunknak". Ugyanaz a végkimenetel, csak egy sokkal kacifántosabb úton jutsz el oda. Ráadásul mindegyik barátunk megéri külön-külön a pénzét. Egyfelől semmi kötelék nincs köztünk, másfelől rendszeresen ki is használnak. A játék végén még le is akarnak lépni a lóvéval ahelyett, hogy megmentsenek több, mint 2 millió civilt a polgárháborútól. A játék végéig csak néhány alkalommal dönthetsz, de a végét ezek nagyban nem befolyásolják. Szerintem a jó végkimenetel amúgy is az, hogy meghalnak a barátaid (őket neked kell megölni) szóval, ha otthagyod őket a faszba a küldetések után meghalni, akkor gondolom a végén kevesebbet kell belőlük legyilkolni.

Marhára idegesítő a játéktér és az egész design. Majdnem minden közlekedés ilyen zárt "folyosókon" történik. Emiatt nem tudod elkerülni az outpostokat és azokat kipucolni sem lehet, mert 2 percen belül újraspawnol az összes ellenfél. Valami elképesztően idegesítő újra meg újra megvívni ugyanazokat a harcokat, amikor csak csinálnád a küldetést. Sokszor hiába van fast travel..... még 3-4 outpost mellett el kell menj oda meg vissza. ÉS ezt az idegesítést még tovább tudja fokozni. Ez egy autószerelő szimulátor... ha szétlövik az autót, akkor a vízhűtőt meg kell csavarozni és már jó is. Át akarsz hajtani egy outposton, mert már unod a harcot? Akkor vagy szétlövik a kocsid, VAGY, ha sikerülne is átmenni rajta, akkor utolérnek egy ugyanolyan kocsival, mint ami neked van, és meg kell állj lövöldözni, mert "így az izgalmas" -.- .

Az ellenfelek egyébként megpróbálnak bekerülni, jól lőnek (már-már túl jól).... és rendelkeznek predator visionnel, meg ultrahangos képalkotó hallással. Egyébként civilekkel nem találkozni a játékban (mert mind a határon áll, hogy kiengedjék ebből a szarból ugyebár), még a civil autókban is fegyveres FEHÉR EMBEREK ülnek. Ebben a játékban több az európai/amerikai zsoldos, mint helybéli katona... és a fentebb leírtak alapján FELEJTSD EL, hogy lopakodsz.

És akkor jönnek a technikai "bugok". Az első pálya az "Options", amelyet többször újra kellett kezdenem. - Ha nem 60 fps-re limitálva játszol, akkor pattognak az NPC-k és egy dialógust nem képesek végigmondani, ami miatt sokszor beakadnak a küldetések.
- Többször szétugrott a felbontás és az ablaknézet. Berakta kisablakba a játékot úgy, hogy fullscreen volt beállítva. Visszaállítani nem lehetett. Azt olvastam, hogy állítsam a két effekt beállítást high-ra, akkor sok bug megoldódik. Utána nekem is jó volt.
- A játék színtelen és rosszul vannak beállítva a fények. Már internetes guide-ot kerestem ahhoz, hogy mi a helyes Gamma Kontraszt és Fényerő beállítás, hogy élvezhető legyen a látványvilág. Arra jutottam, hogy bár kiégeti a szavanna füve a szemem, mert a sárga helyett fehér, de legalább látom a fatörzseket a dzsungelben és nem totál fekete az árnyékban minden. A növényzet szürke, a víz is..... a falak is.... Ez a játék a szürke 50 árnyalata... és pont annyira idegesítő is és basznak is meg benne. Most, hogy belegondolok elég sok a párhuzam a játék és a film között. Én is végigvittem, pedig utáltam. Visszatértem a játékhoz, mint a csaj a csávóhoz a filmben.... különös, na hagyjuk is ezt.

FELADAT: Öld meg a Sakált.... Az egyetlen szimpatikus karaktert, aki kétszer megmentette az életünket a játék során. Nem, nem öltem meg a végén. Hála az égnek, hogy hagyott lehetőséget arra, hogy ne kelljen megölni. Rajta kívül van ez a Vörös Csillag fekete sereg meg ez a Sárga Afrika népdobos népfront. Gyakorlatilag az orosz és amerikai oldalak által szított polgárháború a történet. A szokásos lemez, mindenki ismeri, de itt nem tolja eléd, hogy valójában erről van szó. Ez a két fél a közreműködéseddel egymás befolyását rongálja, illetve súlyosan károsítja az ország gazdaságát és infrastruktúráját. Az országot meg mindeközben a gyémátbányászattal kifosztják.
Ilyen feladatokat adtak a hadurak, hogy egészen konkrét legyek:
- A megmaradt gyógyászati talán nevetőgázt robbantsd fel.
- Robbantsd fel a járműjavító depót (tömegközlekedés és áruszállítás) és a hozzátartozó üzemanyagtartályokat.
- Az üvegházas ültetvény öntözőrendszerét robbantsd fel.
- Tedd tönkre az ország rádióállomását.
- Robbantsd fel azt a vízvezetéket, ahonnan olyan területek kapnak vizet, ahol alapból nincs elég.
Gyakorlatilag én voltam a főgonosz a történetben.

Kíváncsi voltam mi a vége, de ezen kívül nem játszottam volna végig. Szerintem Te se tedd. A vége kárpótolt a "szerteágazó" döntései miatt. Az elejétől kezdve semmi értelme nem volt annak, amit csinálunk, de a végén legalább volt.

The African setting is stunning and the fire mechanics are incredible for the time. Brutal and unforgiving in ways that will frustrate a lot of people but there's a raw atmosphere here that the later games never quite captured

Игра неплохая и хотелось бы сказать что она "проходняк на вечер" , НО раслабиться в этой игре нельзя ненасекунду ведь каждому в этой игре нужно сломать тебе машину. А также не дать спокойно доехать до места задания, ах ну да гг боиться нажать на тапочку что б проехаться с ветерком так как походу боиться что опять залетит "камарик" либо же он такой тяжелый что машина быстрее ехать не может (будьте уверены враги вас на таком же ведре догонят и даже обгонят что б сломать вам машину, ну и вас вместе с ней). Так же на пути будут блок-посты которые просто хочеться обьехать за несколько км так как просто проехать их нельзя, ведь за тобой сразу выедет машинка что б сломать гг, чистить их бесполезно ведб враги респавняться как только ты отьезжаешь от них на еннае растояние.
НО это ладно, что косаемо сюжета он прост, такой линейненький, НО есть выбор как выполнять задание либо сделать так как говорять, либо выполнить так как говорит "друг" (честно бесполезные болванчики которые если бы не было б ничего не поменялось, не ну один может там спасти если гг умер но ♥♥♥♥♥ легче уже загрузиться), ах ну да задания где то в чебоксарах куда ехать 3-е суток.
Финал делали так что б было быстро но затяжно ведь ходить бродить в течении реального часа в джунглях( ♥♥♥♥ гг походу реально жырный ведь выносливость уходит быстрее нежели прочность оружия).
Несмотря на все эти недочоты игра всё же немного меня затянула и повеселила, стреляя в чела на машине он решил просто врезаться в бочку и взорваться, или же как в мою лодку попал миномётный снаряд и отправил меня в стратосферу.
Моя оценка этой игре 6/10 всё же эти все блок-посты и вечные починки машины надоели и ближе к концу хотелось её дропнуть.

может для 2008 года игра и норм, разве что только на консоли, но в версии для пк это трудноописуемый калл. отзывы на игры мне писать обычно впадлу но здесь уж извините.

почему же эта игра полное дepьмo:

в игре миллиард багов причем не просто которые встретил и забыл а прям которые реально мешают игре.
1. АБСОЛЮТНО у всех нпс в этой игре болезнь паркинсона или я хз как это назвать но они просто туда сюда дрыгают головой и за почти что 20 лет это не исправили.
2. Когда тебе звонят на этот сони эриксон который всю игру у главного героя в кармане тебе могут просто молчать в трубку, причем игрой это так вообще не задумано.
3. Проблема с вылетами которая встречается у очень многих и я не исключение, для понимания ЭТО ЕДИНСТВЕННАЯ В МОЕЙ ЖИЗНИ ИГРА где после очередного вылета у меня стерлись к eбeнe матери все сохранения и мне пришлось качать сейвы с сайта в браузере, благо там чел опубликовал сейвы которые он делал на протяжении всей игры и я продолжил там где остановился.
4. Да да, здесь в самом начале можно выбрать героя за которого будешь играть, у них разная биография, но на этом отличия заканчиваются, на сюжет это никак не влияет, зачем это вообще было добавлено непонятно. (продолжил я играть уже после загрузки скачанного сейва за другого персонажа и отличий вообще не заметил).
5. Вроде бы в игре есть развилки, но это чисто выборы ради выбора, которые вообще не влияют ни на сюжет ни на концовку, концовка конечно отдельный вид искусства, чтоб без спойлеров скажу в двух словах: тебе дают выбор из двух действий, которые ВООБЩЕ ничего не изменят, поменяется только сценарий, концовки идентичные.
6. В целом скучный открытый мир и тупые квесты, как обычно сходи принеси забери отдай мозга не ebи, не то чтоб прям сильный минус, от игры 2008 года ждать чего то другого и не стоило.

из плюсов могу выделить только красивый для тех времен визуал, физика, стрельба и огонь сделаны под реализм и это ощущается, думаю в то время было непросто этого достичь, хорошо передана атмосфера африки, во ВСЕМ остальном игра если честно дристня, в принципе как и почти все игры юбисофта, можно сказать канон. можете не смотреть что я столько часов наиграл в эту диарею, просто поставил себе цель пройти все части фар края на 100% (да да, я прошел эту невероятную игру на 100%) и объективно их оценить.

Far Cry 2 is a giant waste of time.

Far Cry 2 is very different to the first entry, but very similar to what the Far Cry formula would be for the next games in the franchise. Far Cry 1 felt like it wanted to empower the player with different ways of engaging with each combat encounter. Far Cry 2 is more about disempowering the player, resulting in a more hardcore experience. That might be what you are looking for, but the steps they have taken to achieve this experience result in a more frustrating game.

What are the differences between the first and second entry then. The first Far Cry had missions with large handcrafted combat encounters that you could approach in different ways. Far Cry 2 has a big open world for you to explore, so you would think that would result in the same approach when it comes to player freedom. To a certain extent they did achieve that. You can go anywhere you want, but there is next to zero reason to actually explore. You can find cases of diamonds, which you can use to upgrade your character or acquire new guns. The thing is, each case give so few diamonds, it doesn't even feel worth it. Completing missions will give you way more, making the cases feel like busy work.

So the missions then, what are they like. Every single side missions AND main story mission I did consisted of roughly 2 kinds of objectives. Either they make you kill a target, surrounded by other enemy NPCs, or they make you blow something up. That is 60 percent of what you are going to be doing for 13-15 or so hours of gameplay. The other 40 percent will be driving back and forth between your mission objectives and whoever will be giving you the mission in the first place. When driving you will be constantly harassed by enemy vehicles every 2-5 minutes. The worst f*cking thing is enemy outposts will respawn so there is ZERO reason for you to clear them out. Speaking about the driving, the vehicle roster is far worse in 2 compared to 1. In the first game there were enemy helicopters, boats with turrets and cars with turrets. The second game removes helicopters and boats are rarely used. The frustration of having to change seats every time you get ganked by an enemy vehicle before you can use your turret is so perplexing when in the first game you could drive and shoot at the same time. Kill the enemy vehicle chasing you, get out to repair the car, repeat. Every now and then you need to take pills for your Malaria. Once you've spent all of your pills you need to go get some more in exchange for a favour, again busy work that wastes your time.

Gunplay is also arguably worse than the first game for a couple of reasons. You can no longer lean left or right, which in fairness I never used, but if you are going to give the option of stealth then why remove the feature? Secondly there is weapon jamming. In theory I like the idea of weapons degrading over time and having to maintain them. Fallout does weapon degradation well enough and so does Red Dead Redemption 2. Unfortunately for Far Cry 2 there is no way of repairing weapons once they degrade. Every weapon picked up from enemies will be in such terrible condition they aren't even worth using, which results in less weapon experimentation. They have also removed the alternative fire modes for weapons, resulting in less depth to combat. Across the board the game has worse weapon firing sounds too.

There is next to no story and that doesn't necessarily result in a bad game. The first Far Cry game had a super forgettable villain and main protagonist, and the story felt like an excuse for the developer to have the player go kill more guys. So why am I harping on 2 when 1 did the exact same thing? Because the first game had really engaging combat and each encounter felt different to the next.

I went into the game with the pre existing knowledge that the villain of the game was the main character from the first game. That sounded like a cool idea, but the execution left me feeling nothing. He looks nothing and sounds nothing like he did in the first game so he might as well be a completely different character. There were no story beats that had me excited for what would come next. Possibly the games strongest point is the actual setting of Africa. I really enjoyed the look of the world and would've loved for the game to explore African culture more. The music is a massive downgrade from the first game, with the exception of the main menu theme being incredible. You would think they would have added a radio to the cars with how much f*cking driving the game makes you do.

I can understand the cult following the game has, but to me Far Cry 3 took every good aspect of this game and did it better with richer gameplay systems and a more interesting world.

Эта игра не про сюжет, она про геймплей и ощущения. Побывать в Африке с коричневым фильтром, посмотреть на физику огня, как листва разлетается при взрывах и как оружие разлетается в щепки прямо в руках. Ощутить атмосферу бессмысленной войны, где лидеры группировок сменяются каждый день, и тебе даже не интересны имена - кто даёт алмазы, на того и работаешь. Почувствовать на себе что такое крепкая дружба в финале, и что всё что ты делал не имело смысла совсем.

Сам игровой процесс практически идеально сбалансирован - тут нет затяжных поездок, затяжных боёв или затяжных катсцен. Эта гармоничность и есть главное преимущество второй части, от чего прохождение прошло гладко и с хорошим послевкусием. Саундтрек не раздражает, сражения интересные, вариативные и зрелищные. Исследование мира приятное и удобное, как по мне, а главное - атмосферное. Ездить с картой в руке, выискивая каждый алмаз, и разнося в щепки толпы врагов гранатометом (лучшее оружие имхо), разнося и сжигая целые поселения - именно то, что запоминается и остаётся в памяти.

И как по мне главная трагедия игры - это то что авторы настолько хорошо передали безнадёгу, что она поглотила всё остальное, и люди не отделяя посыл от игры говорят в совокупности "игра худшая". А я советую, лучшая часть из первых трёх.

这2008年的游戏质量太顶了，但玩前要设置好，要打好补丁，锁60帧，要兼容模式xp运行，毕竟是老游戏，我win11也能玩。
游戏在音乐方面表现的十分出色，几乎完美展现了非洲草原上的环境音效。游戏的画面方面也与该作的背景设定十分的搭配，让玩家有种身临非洲的感觉。可惜过于庞大的流程让部分喜欢快餐游戏的玩家无法静下心来游玩。

I put in a massive grind into the story mode. Hard crashes to desktop every so often between sessions with absolutely no warning or sign of impending crash - just one minute in the game, next millisecond you are back to desktop.

Well it hard crashed just as I was saving between fast travels when I got 62% of the way through and having done ALL of the side missions including arms dealers, assassinations, and buddy missions (those tedious buddy missions at the bar - all ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 40 of them). The save corrupted and was utterly lost. Not even verify files helped.

I am not ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ impressed. Also, the modding for fixing the Jackal tapes "stealing boots bug" could be a lot easier to follow - I haven't been able to make sense of it to implement. I have no idea how many of those tapes I had found in the end as I came back to this game periodically. Now, I am not ever doing so again. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ piece of ♥♥♥♥.

I really wanted to like this game, but its just so irritating to play.

The atmosphere is great, and I really like the setting and the characters, but the gameplay in itself is just so annoying, it's not worth it.

Gunplay is annoying and the guard posts every 5 meters who will all attack you and chase you, no matter for whose side youre doing a contract is just so unnecessary and ♥♥♥♥♥♥. you have to stop everything youre doing and fight some annoying enemy, drive for 1 minute and repeat that 1000 times untill you actually get what you want.

I can't recommend this game, the other games are way more fun and not as annoying to play as this

Also vor Jahren gekauft und gedacht probier es nochmal ... Naja der Wireless XBox Controller von Microsoft funktioniert, hätte ich nicht gedacht.

Allerdings umdrehen extrem langsam und alle Interaktionen werden mit Tastatursymbolen angezeigt, was raten erforderlich macht. Denn im Menü wird nicht mal der Controller oder eine Möglichkeit der Einstellungen gegeben.

Am Anfang im Auto, als die Stelle der Miliz-Straßensperre kommt, springen die Miliz Typen, als ob sie Kaugummies in den Schuhen haben haha.

Leider endet das Spiel für mich wenn ich den blauen Erste Hilfe Kasten zum speichern des Spiels nutzen soll. Der Typ hat auch Kaugummi in den Schuhen, der springt hin und her und steht dann Endgültig im Weg und ich komme nicht dran :P

Good shading that makes the game look serious, decent story I guess, and that's about it.

You literally need mods to actually make the game entertaining due to outposts respawning the moment you move and look away, AI's being able to shoot you through anything that can be shot through with extreme precision, enemy shotguns being able to outrange yours, and everyone in a one-kilometer radius spotting you the moment you do anything. The malaria mechanic is just annoying and your pills are infinite up to a point in the story. Weapon degradation is also a major issue with how often it just happens out of nowhere, same with vehicles breaking down from just a few bumps. Diamonds can be hunted but come in so little, often one and rarely two, never getting you anywhere (unless modded).

Fun fact, the AI is so ridiculous in this game that if the player checks out their gun (either by idling or key bind), any noises made by the animation WILL be heard by enemies in a stupidly large radius, ruining most stealth runs. Speaking of stealth, it sucks, just snipe everyone from afar or spam a full automatic loadout. Do not bother with stealth gameplay, and specifically the Dart Rifle, unless you really want to do it, grenades and molotovs can be used to distract and the silenced Makarov will be your friend.

Graphics-wise it is decent, doesn't ruin performance either. Just set your framerate to 60 / 59 or turn on V-Sync and most problems will be gone. It's better you use a multi-fixer mod instead.

Conclusion: Don't bother unless you really want to, it's cheap and can hold up a decent bit, just too annoying to play properly.

Far Cry 2 is still one of my favorite games of all time. I’ve played through it many times, even back on the Xbox 360, and it’s one of those games I keep coming back to. The atmosphere is something very special that modern games rarely capture.

The African setting feels harsh, lonely, and dangerous. The world is immersive, with dynamic fire spreading through grass, brutal gunfights, and a feeling that the environment itself is trying to kill you. The sound design and the map system (with the physical map and GPS) make the experience feel very grounded and realistic.

The game isn’t perfect though. Some mechanics can be frustrating, especially the malaria system. It can feel annoying when you’re in the middle of something and suddenly need medicine again. But even with its flaws, the game’s atmosphere and gameplay make it unforgettable.

I’ve finished this game many times and it still holds a special place for me.

The game feels really empty. You drive for like 15 minutes just to reach a mission, and the mission itself takes about 5 seconds, then you repeat that from the beginning of the game all the way to the end.

It’s also buggy as hell, and the game crashes about every 30 minutes. Enemies keep popping up on every damn road I drive through, spraying bullets everywhere. It gets annoying really fast.

Still, the game kind of lives up to its name; wherever you need to go is always far, and while driving there you’ll probably cry

Incredibly fun game. That being said, this game does feel very empty at times. If anything, it feels like the mechanics and concepts of this game are half baked and it feels like a play-test or teaser for a game that would expand on them later down the line. this game is not really good and at no point did i really enjoy it
first the good it is kinda fun to try out new weapons that you buy and i like the weapon condition system the game has with the weapon jamming and breaking as it does keep you on your toes and i got side tracked a couple of times to find diamonds since it was so easy. i also did enjoy the dialogue of the enemies while in combat
for the bad, the gunplay is not really amazing and the game likes to keep puting you into combat and it just gets dull. most of the time bad combat can be forgiven if the story helps push me through the game but this story did not do that. maybe i just was not paying enough attetion to the story but like why was i helping both the apr and the ufll. i understand that they give me money but why do i need money just kill the jackal and leave. it just feels pointless and getting away from the goal of killing the jackal like did my guy think that randomly one of the warlord leader would be like "hey can you go meet up with our arms dealer The Jackal" or something it just did not make sense to me. and also like what even happened in the story first there is a fire in the hotel i am in because i am trying to find the jackal and kill him then i am helping both sides of a war that i have no part in help anyone then i kill one of sides leader then i am in a new area and still helping both sides after i killed one of their leaders? then i am getting captured and now i work for the jackal? why? then i am killing the last of the leaders and killing my allies that i have had for the whole game then the jackal tells me that i have to kill my self and well i guess i have to if the jackal says so! it just never felt like i know what was going on or why stuff was happening and because of that it felt like i could never sink my teeth and get invested into it

Eu simplesmente não consegui jogar esse jogo.

Muitos bugs como personagens voando, respaw de inimigos do nada, objetivos que não iniciam, etc. Não consegui avançar na história pq eu simplesmente não consigo iniciar uma determinada missão. Os NPCs ficam deslizando na tela, mexendo a cabeça como se dissessem "não não não, não jogue essa merd@" kkkkk e você não consegue dar um start na quest porque não consegue falar com eles.

Não lembro desses bugs na época do Xbox 360. Vai então uma review do que me lembro: os gráficos melhoraram absurdamente em relação ao primeiro game, apesar do jogo se passar em um lugar extremamente feio rs, parecendo um conjunto de cortiços e tudo ser marrom. O gameplay melhorou também, mas as missões são extremamente repetitivas, com grandes distâncias a se percorrer, com cenários praticamente iguais e depois de fazer algumas delas, dá vontade de largar a game. A história é ok, nada de especial e não é imperdível. Este com certeza, pra mim pelo menos, é o Far Cry mais fraco da franquia.

Se você é fã dessa série assim como eu, eu recomendaria jogar só para conhecer todos os títulos. Porém, existe a possibilidade do jogo não funcionar no seu pc, mesmo ele sendo ultra mega blaster. Aqui não funcionou, por isso, não recomendo a versão da Steam.

Vengo de jugar el 1 y es muy diferente, nuevamente me sorprende lo bien que se ve, en especial por la cantidad de detalles que le colocaron al juego, aunque igual uno esperaría que hubiese más vida dentro de este o más variedad con algunos animales, pero bueno son detalles.
Mi mayor problema es lo repetitivo que se hace, al final es siempre lo mismo y una mecánica muy mala es la de la malaria, puedo llegar a entenderlo, pero se hace muy tedioso. Igualmente he de decir, que llego a entender a aquellos a los que les gusta este juego, recomendaría ver videos de los detalles que tiene el juego, ya que se nota que el esfuerzo que le colocaron.

Jogo extremamente medíocre em todos os aspectos...

FC2 tem algumas ideias e mecânicas interessantes, porém todas executadas porcamente. O jogo todo parece mais um simulador ou jogo indie feito em uma game jam. O gunplay do jogo é legal, porém muito repetitivo, deve ter 3 modelos de inimigos diferentes no jogo todo, andar de carro é basicamente inútil visto que na mesma hora que você botar o carro em qualquer rua, vai dar spawn um carro de patrulha te fuzilando, e o bizarro é que isso acontece a cada 2-3 minutos a todo momento.

E não vou nem falar da história patética, personagens que se fossem substituídos por cubos cinza sem falas, daria na mesma kkkk. Não tem um personagem que chegue perto de ser mediano, falta muito ainda pra ser meramente ruim kkkk

Por conta dos postos avançados infinitos, e dos inimigos que estão por todo o mapa, você se vê obrigado a cruzar grandes distâncias a pé, o que é um saco nesse jogo por conta do personagem parecer ter asma ou bronquite, ele corre 15 segundos e só falta ter um ataque do coração, e sobre os "inimigos" (entre aspas pois os que fazem parte da facção que você está ajudando também te atacam, não faz o menor sentido kkkk) Sempre as mesmas armas, sempre a mesma coisa... Se fosse um jogo com campanha de 2 horas, show de bola! Mas o jogo arrastou demais pra continuar sendo um lixo

Definitivamente não percam seu tempo com essa porcaria, do FC3 pra frente que a coisa fica interessante.

Я вообще не понимаю, как после Far Cry 2 серия не умерла.

Вся игра это бесконечная езда по одним и тем же дорогам и зачистка блокпостов, которые постоянно респавнятся. Только всех убил, уехал на пару метров, возвращаешься, а там снова враги.

Сюжета по сути нет. Просто выполняешь кучу однотипных миссий для фракций, фармишь репутацию и всё. Нормальных сюжетных заданий почти нет.

Отдельная «радость» - малярия, тоже делай тупые побочки на таблетки. Оружие которое постоянно клинит, а чтобы получить нормальный ствол - опять иди делай побочки.

В итоге большую часть времени просто катаешься туда-сюда через одни и те же аванпосты под жёлтым фильтром. Очень душная игра. Я честно не понимаю, как смог её пройти.

PS. Если решите её все же пройти для галочки, нужно ставить "Far Cry 2 Multi Fixer" (гугл в помощь), в ином случае будет довольно много багов. Из минусов фиксера - игра запускается в обход стима, поэтому наигранное время не засчитается и скриншотов не сделаешь. Так же ОЧЕНЬ ВАЖНО выбрать DirectX 9! На 10 версии будут вылеты!

Решила я пройти все фарики подряд зная насколько хорош 4
Первый зашел на ура, а вот второй....
Во первых, игра работает как кусок говна - нпс прыгают как на рейве, так еще и отталкивают постоянно, вылетает (хотя первая работала идеально)
Сюжет полная херня - ну просто пытайся выжить, пей парацетомол, помогай черным революционерам просто чтобы, а главная цель, убей шакала
Зачем? Ну просто, внятной завязки вообще нет
По геймплею тоже херня, одно и то же, а стрелять вообще не приятно, а постоянно воскрешающиеся аванпосты(хотя по сути ты его отвоевал так что почему они там), и как только они тебя заметят так едут за тобой с большей скоростью (зил быстрее чем багги, прикольно) и расстреливают, а твое корыто за одну очередь превращается в недвижимый кусок, так что постоянно останавливайся и перебей всех
Я потратила 5 часов и жалею, так как кроме постоянный перестрелок с аванпостами я не увидела
Есть моды которые игру нормальной делают говорят, но я не хочу уже в эту игру возвращаться когда либо, юбикал все просрал

Jogar Far Cry 2 foi uma experiência bem diferente do que eu esperava de um jogo de tiro em mundo aberto. Ele tem um ritmo mais lento e uma atmosfera muito mais pesada do que a maioria dos jogos do gênero, mas justamente por isso acaba sendo extremamente imersivo. É aquele tipo de jogo que faz você sentir que realmente está tentando sobreviver em um lugar hostil.

O cenário africano é um dos grandes destaques. As savanas, vilarejos abandonados, rios e estradas de terra criam um ambiente que parece vivo e imprevisível. O jogo tem um sistema de fogo muito interessante, onde as chamas se espalham pela vegetação dependendo do vento, o que pode transformar um simples combate em um verdadeiro caos. Isso dá uma sensação de dinamismo que poucos jogos conseguem reproduzir.

A jogabilidade é focada na sobrevivência e na improvisação. As armas podem travar ou quebrar, o que força o jogador a se adaptar no meio das batalhas. A falta de recursos também faz com que cada missão tenha um certo peso, já que você precisa se preparar antes de sair pelo mapa. Esse sistema deixa o jogo mais tenso e faz com que cada confronto pareça mais real.

Outro elemento que achei interessante é a forma como o jogo apresenta sua história. Em alguns momentos, simplesmente dirigir pelo mapa enquanto o sol está se pondo já cria uma atmosfera muito marcante.

No geral, Far Cry 2 é um jogo que aposta muito mais na imersão do que no espetáculo. Ele pode ser mais lento e exigente do que outros títulos da série, mas justamente por isso oferece uma experiência única. Para quem gosta de jogos de tiro com mundo aberto e uma pegada mais realista, é um jogo que vale muito a pena experimentar.
