Today is the day you and the archaeologist Edward set sail on an adventure. Following the guiding light from a fossilized dragon, you stumble upon a desolate, uncharted island. Just as you're nearing your destination, a Dark Dragon appears out of nowhere and attacks. That's when the fossil awakens, revealing itself to be a Bone Dragon. A fierce battle breaks out, and you follow the Bone Dragon through a mysterious gate that appears out of thin air. On the other side, you find... a lively and peaceful place? Err, well, time to embark on a journey to unravel the island's untold mysteries!

There is so much content in this game it's literally crazy, it's like whenever I said "ok I must have opened up every location possible now" the game throws another map on my face. Gameplay is fun af, Story is apparently meh compared to the original (I didn't play the original unfortunately) but I didn't really mind it. Much like the name, the game steals your time, it turns into an addiction almost.

It definitely takes aspects from both the mobile game and the 3ds game, albeit I have had an extraordinary time exploring the decorating aspect of the game. It's very fleshed out compared to the 3ds game, and it's amazing to have as an option when decorating was so limited in the 3ds game. My houses used to always get filled up so fast, and I had nothing to do with my furniture.

I definitely think Fantasy Life i is worth trying for all of the different aspects and lives that it offers. You will progress in the story just fine if you decide to stick to a specific combat life. In that regard, it is very similar to the 3ds game, which was essentially similar in that sense. I think this game tackles outdoor customization amazingly considering how it's a new thing in the mainline series.

I will say that the main storyline does feel redundant, so I would not recommend buying the game for the story, and I do also have a personal gripe with the exploration: exploring in Ginormosia is fun, but I wish the rest of the areas on the map were placed in such a way where you wouldn't have to constantly fly between them. The open world was one of my favorite parts of the 3ds game, and I do wish that it wasn't partially abandoned. I still see aspects of it in Ginormosia, though.

I nonetheless think this is a series that everyone should try out.

Me ha encantado jugar este juego, al principio tuvo la esencia del fantasy life de la 3ds pero luego fué cambiando a un estilo más nuevo que no me desagrada para nada, simplemente el peak de fantasy life, me gustó el gameplay, los gráficos son muy bonitos y no pierde ese toque de la saga pero la historia del juego me dejó un poco dividido; está divertido, pero no me atrajo, ese es el único punto flaco del juego en comparación con el fantasy life original.

Le prix demandé peut sembler excessif mais je vous confirme qu'il en vaut le prix.

Mon seul regret concerne la taille des persos (cela serait sympa de pouvoir les ajuster par rapport aux proportions des corps) et qu'il manque un élément qui aurait pu rajouter quelques activités : l'élevage.

I'm someone who rarely compares games and tries to see something for what it is. And yet, I found myself constantly comparing this to its predecessor. Was it the nostalgia or was the original really that much better? After trying so desperately to fall in love with this game, overlooking what is quite possibly the worst camera ever put in any game period, or the dull and repetitive shade of green scattered everywhere like weeds in a garden, I realized that it wasn't the game I needed to love, it was myself.

And then I saw it, this game's similarity to Breath of the Wild. The problem with freedom is that without direction, you're left shackled, forever to wander aimlessly in a world that's supposed to be so beautiful. Fantasy Life never was a game to "discover" your life through the life of a fictional character and its many lives. Fantasy Life was always a game where, if you don't know who you are in your real life, you'll never know who you are in a fantasy life. It wasn't the nostalgia, but perhaps we knew ourselves better when we were young.

Anyways, I'll probably sink 100+ more hours.

WOW, this feels like an (almost) perfect evolution to the fantasy life series! As a person who's played the original 3ds game extensively beyond completion and even into the DLC, and fantasy life online for a good bit of time, this feel like a great evolution of all the elements that both of these games have brought to the series! While the combat has a bit less "Rhythm" to it as I really enjoyed the timing based combos of the original game for the combat life's and the timing based gathering for the gatherer life's, I can completely understand a desire to streamline gameplay as this game brought in the town building elements from fantasy life online and made them even more detailed and customizable. One of the things that kept me from getting hooked onto fantasy life online was the lack of exploration and world progression that kept me invested in the original 3ds game, but by merging the world exploration and progression with town building mechanics while also throwing in a third new element of a more discovery focused mode, they really made a great combination of elements to make this game a wonderful time both for people who want lighthearted fun times and a great time-sink kind of game that offers quite progression to make for each individual life (on top of the two new ones).

My only complaints I have for the game is
1. the removal of the the timing based extended combos for combat and making strong gathering hits be a separate button does kind of make the more action focused parts of the game feel more "button mashing" focused rather than having fluid combat.
2. minor nitpick but they changed how stocky looked ;_; I liked how different that body type was on the 3ds and mobile game and felt like it allowed the players to make more goofy or silly avatars. I do wish they bring back the original stocky body type someday in a future update, I'm also hoping they bring back more customization options exclusive to the mobile game and the 3ds DLC as well, it was fun recreating other character in the fantasy life character creator, such as frisk from undertale.

If the only complaints I have for this game is a valid critique on the choice for changing gameplay for the action oriented parts of the game and wanting older character creator parts like older body types and face parts to return, then you've definitely made a great game all things said!

Nach 50 Std. habe ich gefühlt alles gesehen und die Hauptstory durch.
Dafür hat es aber die Zeit wirklich Spaß gemacht. Es ist nicht zu schwer, sondern einfach ein entspanntes Gameplay mit süßer Grafik. Wenn man erstmal die Hauptstsory verlassen hat, fehlt einem nur irgendwie die Motivation weiter zu machen.
Dennoch würde ich es weiterempfehlen, allerdings solltet ihr ein Angebot abwarten.

Every single area is copy pasted with the same assets. It feels like the most creatively bankrupt game I've played. You think they could've done something more creative but everything is just the same. The farming and crafting is mind numbingly boring. In other games with MMO levels of grinding, at the very least they have interesting stories and worlds to explore with.

Theres no unique minigames for any of the life skills.
After 13 hours it hasnt hooked me.

This game is just boring. One of the most uninspired bland games I have played.

So ignore my playtime, I mostly play offline so it doesn't accurately reflect my time spent.

With that out of the way, this game is great. As someone that grew up and loved the first fantasy life game with all their heart, this is just a good successor and I would easily recommend this to anyone. I got my friends into playing it with the mention of "gathering boss fights". It has so much fun and character, not to mention the music being the same is deeply nostalgic for me. I can't wait to see what they do. If this is all we get that's cool, if we get an Origin Island DLC than that's cool too.

面白い、戦闘でこれを強化しようとすると木材が必要、木材のために木こりを
じゃあ防具も用意してこっちは裁縫もしくは鍛冶、鍛冶のために採掘を…という感じでどんどんと上げていける
お金も中盤辺りでサクッと金を稼げれるのでそれで買うことで時短も行えるが非売品？もあったりするのでやはりある程度は育てて行く必要があるので導線がしっかりと
高レベルのライフ道具を作れば格上の素材も割と簡単にとれてかつレベルも上げやすいので全く育ててなくてもそこそこ育ちやすいのも良い点

欠点はいくつか時間がかかるのがある。リアル時間がかかる者が多いのでそこが数を集めようとすると面倒くさい
また、ダンジョン内ではラクダも使えないので狩人でのR1連打以外だとどうしても遅いと感じるのが欠点。何かしら歩行速度アップ手段が欲しいなと思った
ガチャダンが面倒くさいのも個人的に、マルチでプレイしろってことなのだろうけども

I got this game as a pickup to have another cozy game in the backlog. I haven't played the original fantasy life but this game is still a lot of fun. First off this game is a lot of grinding and it starts off really slow but as you progress it will get a bit faster. 玩法上：缝合怪，然而最终是一个刷子游戏，玩家一步步从木棒打小龙虾进化成真·时之大棒打暗黑风暴魔化虾。然而，刷子游戏也并非就不好玩，比方说无主之地，刷到不同的枪就是可以感受到不同的手感，刷到好枪玩起来就是很爽；但是这个游戏呢？反正每个职业就是那一套平a和技能，换什么装备只不过数值和词条的差别，何况由于战斗难度极低，我拿着职业进阶送的装备就可以随便平推所有关卡，那我刷宝的动力都没有啊……
设计上：神仙设计，一个人要毕业十四个职业，就算只玩一个战斗职业，也要毕业十一个职业，这是何等的肝度？且不说每个职业经验分开计算，就算我开魔法一键满级，我给每个职业点技能点，打装备都足够破防了……你那打装备做饭的小游戏也是的，那么繁琐，玩久了是真的心累，特别是我要打一整套防具的时候，那要打到什么时候是个头啊……顺带一提，这个厨师职业也是真的没存在感，先前说了，战斗难度极低，我连药都不用吃，还吃什么食物上buff……
剧情上：日本这种子供向游戏的剧情就不用多说了，能说得通就行，说不通也无所谓反正我不看。我就说一点，你既然喜欢拿播片来放剧情，为什么不肯稍微做好点？那么卡那么缓慢的动画播片，你是把玩家当啥了？相比之下，那什么牧场物语风之集市的播片不知道强到哪去了。我并不觉得是因为我的电脑配置导致动画播片放得慢，因为那个播片里傻鸟翅膀的扑腾速度是正常的，纯就是其它所有角色行动都慢动作，我真的服了。玩这个游戏，我最快乐的时候就是发现下一段动画能够长按Y键跳过的时候，很幸运，游戏九成的剧情都能跳过，因此我很快乐。另外我提一嘴，你凭什么剧情完结后那个职工人员表不允许跳过？虽然那是整个游戏做得最好的一段动画，但是难道你觉得有资格让玩家对着所谓的“匠人们”心怀感激于是看完那一堆英文的日本人名字？啊对的对的，你们是做游戏为孩子们带去快乐，所以我们玩家要满怀敬意地看着你们这些快乐使者的名字滚动十分钟。嗯？对吗？我还没有蠢到忘记我是花了桑百块买来这个小游戏玩的，这是一个单纯的商业行为，假如我真的由于这个游戏对厂商产生了尊重，那我自然不会跳过你那个破滚屏，但是假如没有，我认为我也有充分的权利长按一个什么按钮来跳过。
综述：总而言之，除非是真正喜爱在游戏中重复劳作，只要看到自己的虚拟角色有数值增长就能感到快乐，愿意为此付出长时间的重复劳作的玩家，我不会推荐任何人游玩此游戏。

联机体验真的一般，不能一起过主线，然后联机的时候有些事情是做不了的

It could really use improvements. What is with the limit on houses that can be built? Grinding can be quite tedious. To advance you need to level up, of course. The need to level up fishing, for example, from say 27 to 50 in order continue on is a bit much. Forget cross platform play. I paid for 2 games (PC & Switch 2). That is fine. HOWEVER, could not get cross-play to work. Epic does not help. There is no way to contact support from what I could see on their website. The developer said they would help but never heard back from them. I asked for a refund for the PC version since I play it way more on my Switch. They will not refund my money. Needless to say, I am not a happy person and will be very hesitant to buy another game form this developer.

Fantasy Life i: The Girl who Steals Time is a long-awaited sequel from the first Fantasy Life released on the 3DS. Originally intended as a Switch exclusive, they delayed it and have since promoted it on every other console, and I am quite thankful for that.

You start out your character creator as a rookie archaeologist at a team dispatched to go to Mysteria Island (name can be changed to player) with only a dragon skeleton as your literal guiding light. As you get closer though, you are antagonized by a big black dragon with missiles and laser that the skeleton dragon awakens and saves you. You are thrown into a different time of the same island, and befriend a girl Rem after saving her from some monsters.

Slowly but surely the world opens up, as you are told right away that you can't progress with the story until you get a Life. A Life being a job class system where you can become a fighter with a weapon, an on-field gatherer with a tool, or a crafter where you create items. There is no preference of what life to start, as you can pretty much do all of them (at least that are available; you unlock the Farmer and Painter classes later). Unlike the previous game, this has you instantaneously change jobs on the fly when you unlock them. Which means you can't actually "fight" with your gathering or crafting jobs, for example. You auto-switch to crafting when doing the crafting mini-game, gathering when you're mining a resource (literally if you're a miner), or battle if you're attacking monsters. Incidentally your base "Brand New" job is a battle class even though you don't get a skill tree or weapons for it other than a tree branch, so you're safe even if you don't unlock the fighters first.

Everything about Fantasy Life i is like an MMO. You are encouraged to go around doing jobs for Dosh (currency), and unlock new levels for your Lives. Each level up gives you skill points that you can put into your skill tree divided into each Life, giving anything from bonus stats to special skills. Unless stated otherwise, they only affect the specific Life. Some skills are locked by your life rank, which you unlock by turning in specific quests to your Life Master. Telling how many enemies to kill, what item to find or craft, things like that. Most of it is story gated so it's best to clear main story first.

The story, by the way, is rather charming. Nothing too deep or complicated, as you have a friend parrot Trip that can only say a few words at a time before he becomes a very vocal side-kick when he wears some brain translating helmet. You quickly decide to go back home to your own time and find Edward (your friend and boss of the whole archaeological team). When you do, through your skeleton dragon (Skelegon)'s special magic, you realize the island you met Rem in the past is now a ruin here, and nothing left but some mysterious ruin. That you decide to delve deeper, only to get locked out by a giant rock by a bratty girl. So you have to go back to Rem's time and find a skilled miner. And then bring him over so you can rescue Edward and go deeper. Only to lose Edward again being blocked off by a giant vegetable. So you have to go back AGAIN... and kinda repeat these beats for the rest of the chapters, haha.

Another neat feature for Fantasy Life i: The Girl who Steals Time is island building. You encounter "strangelings" that used to be human but were transformed into inanimate objects like from Beauty and the Beast: the very first Strangeling you find is Kunugi the Carpenter who is stuck as a dresser, and have to find her through a trail of clothes. There is a goddess statue that can turn the strangelings back to normal through flowers, and they reward you by being new residents of the island in present time (even though most if not all of them are from the old Mysteria Kingdom). Each one has a preset Life so they act as party members when exploring, helping with battle, gathering, even crafting so long as it meets their job requirements.

A few stranglings are found through the story, but all else are found by exploring Ginomorsia. I actually like this bit because it's the best kind of an open world: very manageable and gives you more of what fun the normal game gives you but with options. You can use mounts pretty much exclusively here as they help make travel time easy when not fast traveling to a new warp point. There are quests all around that reward you with points to increase area levels and nuts to serve as the area currency for rare items given by bear merchants. You can easily find all monsters or rare items here, though getting all parts of Ginomorsia to the highest rank will be very time consuming.

I think what I love about this game is that there are so many things to do that give the itch and appeal of an MMO but doesn't charge you extra for it. Boss monsters and mineables have a five-minute cool down timer before you can fight them again. The crafting mini-game for each job is addicting as you slowly but surely get a hang of the button prompts and keep doing it just for that perfect shine for your item. You will fight and mine for loot, then craft that loot at your workbench for a stronger weapon or tool, and then use those for easier more optimal growth until you reach max level. And keep doing it until you get high end gear too. Because even when you beat the main story (as cheesy and silly as it is), you will keep wanting to grind out for that OP build.

Especially with the new free DLC that gives you the rouge-like Snoozaland trek, where for 20 minutes you amass a bunch of treasures and items to beat a boss at the end, and then have to cash everything out for points which you can spend on exclusive items. And I haven't even gotten over stuff like Treasure Troves or all the item recipes you can collect.

Again, there's a lot to do in Fantasy Life i: The Girl who Steals Time, My only real gripe is that the internet online play keeps disconnecting for some reason (probably because of the anti-cheat software), but at least it allows crossplay between all systems. I will probably keep coming back to this as it doesn't ask for anything more out of me than my free time. I have stayed up quite a few nights just doing all the runs and getting those pesky rare item drops for end-gear, but I say it's worth it.

For those that love the same kind of online games that hook you in, I strongly recommend this one, and for the PC/Steam version at that. You can play cooperatively with friends/strangers(/stranglings?) and without paying extra for internet or cosmetics!

To start the final quest you need to grind levels for multiple classes regardless of if you played as them. So the quest is basically just to grind 40 - 60 levels in classes that you may or may not enjoy playing. Also to unlock the post game story you need to logging in daily for about a week to get super special flowers. Which are different than the special flowers that are obtained in the same way but are used to unlock helpers.

To simply put it, FANTASY LIFE i is Animal Crossing with combat and without the debts you have to pay back. You start as you seek a secret island, but suddenly you will face the past of the place you searched for. The more you get to know the island and its inhabitants, the story starts to unravel. It is pretty bare bones and simple, in the end not the reason why you play the game.

FANTASY LIFE i's strengths lie in the combination of coziness with combat & RPGs, between building your own island or going out in dungeons and exploring the open world, which offers a great variety of monsters, bosses and biomes. There are 14 so-called Lives in total, from crafting like Blacksmith, Tailor to gathering Miner, Woodcutter and combat Lives like Paladin, Mage and Hunter. While playing you will end up balancing all of them to forge new weapons and tools, craft new furniture for your home and island.

[b]_Gameplay:[/b]
At the core of the gameplay are the Lives you level up to increase your proficiency and to be able to craft better weapons and gear to advance in the story and in the open world. It is the hunt for special resources and exploring where to get them sometimes especially in the late game the grind for resources can be really exhausting. I highly recommend playing in multiplayer lobbies to complete dungeons and the open world to get to your goals quicker.

[b]_Immersion:[/b]
The game does not offer a story that pulls you in, but the way progression works is quite mesmerizing. As soon as you start to get the hang of how to level up your Lives and where to go for resources, you will start to lose track of time. The combat is pretty basic and the crafting mini games are fun at first, but repetitive in the end if you don't skill for automation.

I really like the monster & boss design in this game, there are a lot of different kinds of bosses that need to be overcome by all Lives from ore, trees, fishes, harvesting and combat. Everything is really cute and how can you not love seeing your character swinging a huge sword around and clubbing a cute little bunny that seems to have gotten rabies somehow.

[b]_Recommendation:[/b]
It is a wonderful game to relax and take it slow. I would not recommend starting the game just to 100% it, as the grind slows down your progress in the endgame massively. So much so that you have to rely on multiplayer for special dungeons and to be done faster with it. I enjoyed it, it was fun – in the end I'm happy that I am done though.

購入から大体30～40時間くらいでストーリークリアしました。
わかりやすいストーリーと、ゆる～いスローライフが楽しいゲームです。
ただ、ガチャ要素といいますか、住人からのレシピをもらうのが厳しかったりと、
やり込むにはちょっと時間がかかるかなと感じました。
よくあるソシャゲのデイリー消化みたいになってしまったので、途中からほとんど触らなかったですが、

Lots of grinding. As far as I can tell this is the main selling point of this game. There are a lot of "lives" (= jobs) with different skill trees, but the lives can be grouped into 3 categories: Battling, gathering and crafting. Especially the lives in the latter two categories are very similar making feel the grind tedious.
There is not a lot of variety and at some point I didn't feel motivated to grind anymore and went ahead to complete the story in order to shelve this game. While there is an open area to explore, you can grind area levels here.

The active battle system feel a bit clunky and the crafting is too QTE-heavy (= less fun to grind).

There is also a town building, but it is - you guessed it - also grind heavy.

Maybe this would have been better if I was able to play multiplayer (see below for more details).

If you are into grinding this is the game for you.

Enjoyed the music. If you have reached a certain rank in a life there is a song for it. I got only three of the lives to that rank, since the grinding got too tedious.

The game launches the EACLauncher at startup checking for EasyAntiCheat. If the latter is not installed, the game wouldn't start. Didn't know this program is a thing before this, and upon researching it I didn't want to install it, since it will be able to access the deepest layer of your PC.
To bypass this I opened the GameBootstrapper.ini and changed the application path to this:

ApplicationPath=NFL1.exe

This booted up the game directly, but using this method you will be locked out from most of the online stuff. Quite a bummer (would have liked to try out the multiplayer). And you also need to apply it each time the game is getting updated.

Nice little Game to play here and there, though there is lots of content, the story does feel rather lacking and the characters empty, unlike the first Game on 3ds.
Still the first 100hrs there pretty enjoyable, but at some point it got rather, well, boring and less to do once your lives are getting to the hero status.
Wish there was more on the story and characters, like the first Fantasy Life had lots of character development on the imprtant NPCs and the Story wasnt the greatest but it was still pretty sweet and at least a bit more memorable.
I was hoping for more stuff going on on the original Reveria rather than some ancient Island stuff that didnt interest me as much tbh.
Overall I do like it, but personally I wish they put more thought into other stuff as well.

過去作は無印、リンクをプレイ済み。

待望のファンタジーライフ続編。
中学生のころ弟と死ぬほどハマっていたが、あれから10年近くたった今も面白い。
戦闘、採取、製作を繰り返す、各々好きなことができるスローライフな世界が広がっている。
ストーリーについては触れないが、大本が3DSのゲームだったこともあり、対象年齢は低め。どちらかというとこのゲームはストーリーよりもやりこみを楽しむゲームなのであまり関係ない。

戦闘ライフは旧作からの4種類（王国兵士、傭兵、魔法使い、狩人）で、各ライフに対応した武器を扱うことができる。私は専ら両手剣を扱う傭兵でプレイしているが、旧作の4・5コンボ目のようにタイミング押しが要らなくなったのは遊びやすさを感じた。タメ攻撃の火力が高いので隙に差し込む昔のモンハンのような立ち回りが楽しい。
採取ライフは旧作からの3種（採掘士、木こり、釣り人）に加え、新たに農家が追加。フィールド上の畑の他、拠点で育てた野菜を収穫し自給自足することが可能。旧作からのライフは大体旧作同様の操作感で既プレイならすぐ馴染めると思われる。
製作ライフは旧作からの5種（鍛冶屋、大工、裁縫士、錬金術師、料理人）に加え、新たに芸術家が追加。主に拠点に置くオブジェやマイハウスの壁・床等、装飾関連品を作ることができる。ミニゲームはタイミング押しが無くなった代わりに一部がスティック回転に変更されている。ステータスを持ってエクセレントをだしまくることで購入品より高性能な装備を作ることができる。

新要素として、各エリアのランクを上げながら探索するフリーマップ「バカデッカーナ大陸」があり、クリア後のエンドコンテンツとなっている（後述のタマゲモノ集め・ラスダン直前以外はほとんどやらなくてOK）。
ここでは旧作における各ライフの関連キャラクター、ストーリーに関連していたキャラクターが物体に変化した「タマゲモノ」として各地に点在しており、これを取得・開放することで冒険が有利になる仲間が増えるというシステム。ストーリー上でも集める必要はあるが、数はそれほど多くない。旧作に出ていた主要なキャラ（アウラ、オデオン、ルーザ、オリビア等）も登場するので既プレイヤーは乞うご期待。

他にもランダム生成ダンジョンを探索する「ガチャダン」、アップデートで追加されたローグライク要素等ボリューム満点。まだまだ遊びきれていないどころか全ライフ最高ランクのえいゆうまで育っていないのでまだまだ楽しめそう。
思い出補正がかなり強いので手放しにおすすめするのもどうかと思うが、スローライフゲーとしてもアクションゲームとしても作業ゲームとしても面白いゲームなので、興味があったら是非手に取っていただきたい。

ただし、戦闘・製作・採取が一人で完結する前提のゲームのため、例えば木こりだけをやって遊ぶみたいなことは厳しい。木こりのためには斧を作るために大工になり、金属集めと加工で採掘士、鍛冶屋、そもそも大木の場所まで戦闘ライフでないと戦えない...等々連鎖的に必要になるため、最終的にすべてのライフを触ることになる。その点には注意。
