One of my favourite RTS games, the ability to play as any of your units is very cool and the modular upgrade system is a nice touch. Personally I prefer this game over the second one and really wish it gets a remake with more polish and graphical improvements.
Just fired this up today. Had the game for a few years but only played a few minutes before. Put a few hours in, and really enjoyed it. Wish listed EA2, and will probably pick it up in a few days.

Extremely good game to play with your friends and family. The FPS mode combined with RTS was very unique, and made the experience much more intense. Controlling a soldier robot looking at the gigantron walking next to you, 100x your size and firepower, moving towards an enemy base filled that empty spot in RTS games. Can't wait to try the second version.

The game itself is good But there is a big problem.
AI opponent Extremely Aggressive behaviour on the easiest difficulty aswell.
On the FPS mod the aim and movement pathetic. So hard U can barely hit the target, in the aircraft even worse maybe the tank the better options.
I am not gonna lie. I wont refund the game. Im looking forward to it. I know the game cus I played it in the past the DEMO version. BUT the first 2-3 hours in the same map same Janitor AI who is always MORE advanced it is not a good sign for a tutorial...
A game that can be played as a functional, if unpolished, RTS.
I love it. First RTS game where adding FPS players into the mix with AI feels like it actually works. There's a thousand ways to die, and it's only a matter of time until one of them happens.

This game is a lot of fun with friends honestly. the idea of controlling your units is genius since other than Men of War games, i haven't seen it used in any RTS games.
The only shame is that the game didn't receive more updates and bug fixes. I would have loved to see more maps, units, characters, and customization.
Even if those things aren't added i would LOVE to see workshop being added.
No neutral thumb. Get it while on discount. Problem with this game is, after a while when the bases are build up, you have no chance to get into CEO room to kill him (only possible with troops).

one of my fav games, i dont even know how to explane how unique this game is its a fps/ mech controle/ real time battle/ basebuilding game thats somehow multiplayer at the same time. the graphics may not look good but i have not playe many other game in terms of how good and uniq the mulitplayer experince is for this gamme.

Terrible, unintuitive, controls not specified (such as how to access menu to leave the damn game or alter options), some controls only seen in the launch app and all controls only changeable in said app, cant change graphics without making game full screen, cant make game windowed except through launch app, no explanation for many things, just trial and error, no understanding of how to create an army before AI enemies overrun your base, and the list just goes on and on.
Oh, but the developer made sure to post a nice message about not stealing his game... as if anyone would steal this crap.
I'll try to play some more, but the last half hour has felt like two hours just trying to cope with the frustration and confusion of trying to figure out simple things like how to access the menu or what to do in the game, where to get money to buy a robot factory so i can survive, etc.

From what i understand this game was made by one dude. So there's obviously going to be a lack of polish. BUT this guy managed to make the game we dreamed about. An RTS where you can play as the units you build. It was really fun to hop in skirmish and build and try out all the different tanks, planes, and infantry. He even has a giant robot you can control. Then I played it with my buddy and we just messed around not really trying hard to win, and it was just a blast.
This is a great game to play casually solo or stupidly with buddies. Not really competitive though, litereally no one is playing in multiplayer. It's also important to note the developer guy stopped working on the game.
However, I think in it's current state it's absolutely worth the small price tag if you like RTS games.
It's a really good game! It's graphic is totally okay, especially the vehicle cockpits are beautifully made.
Gameplay is cool, in particular base building. The buildings and their interior are awesome designed.. Due internal defense systems, it's very immersive and fun to invade the enemy base and advance to it's CEO to win the game. It's of course also super fun to fight and defend with your own units "at the front".
But why negative? AI is stupid as ♥♥♥♥. Unit AI even worse. If you do not order your units to "hold position", they walk around like drunken chicken. Pathfinding is horrible. In 1st person mode, it's super hard to aim, gunplay is absolutly awful. The game don't pause while designing units or research. You lose control over the battle while choosing next tech or design a new unit. Makes it super stressfull. And after all, there are far too few design options. What weapon you choose don't really matter. There is nothing like armor, motor or shield, just a few chassis for each unit type. And these chassis only differs in HP, which means, most HP always best.
Last but not least, there is no campaign, no scenario and no achievements. Just custom battle against AI or Multiplayer. If you not play with some friends, there is nothing really interesting to do.
It's a good game, but there is just not enough content for an thumbs up.

Gra do pogrania na chwilę, warto kupić do 20 zł, powyżej to tak sobie. Ale ogólnie fajna gra, mechanika, na dobre 3-5 godzin zajmie.
Been interested in this game for a very long time but the apparent lack of savegame features as well as no means of running a dedicated server aside for the buggy in game GUI makes this a dealbreaker if you are buying for the CO OP features.
If anyone can provide a solution to get the lan multiplayer functioning I will gladly re-buy the game but after about an hour of my matches dropping mid game I have given up.

Not much to say its a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of a game and is discontinued, HOWEVER I had a hella of a time with friends and it has alot of really good RTS stuff in it. (69/10)
If you have the right group of friends, yes it will create that beautiful, chaotic, teams of RTS players and FPS players fighting each other for their companies that you are thinking of in your head!

One of my favorite games ever. The only hard part is talking your friends into playing it with you because I promise none of them have heard of it.
The gameplay reminds me a bit of the old 2005 Battlefront 2 crossed with Supreme Commander. It also works great on Steam Deck.
Oh this game... This is a very difficult one to recommend, but I do enjoy it...
Executive Assault is an extremely scuffed and half-baked pitch of what could be considered one of my personal dream-games existing off no budget whatsoever.
Mechanically, it's an RTS/FPS hybrid, skirmish mode only, and a small handful of maps. The word 'hybrid' used quite loosely as it's more a straight RTS that has the ability to jack-in to specific units like Dungeon Keeper possession. But this does have advantages. Your units have an enemy acquisition range, this is how close something has to get before the open fire. This is usually a lot closer than the weapon can actually fire. So when you control a unit directly, you get a massive range bonus to snipe enemies from. Additionally if you're controlling a robot (infantry) you gain a melee attack (basically useless but it's there) and a sprint option (golden.) Finally for the FPS mechanics there's the 'hacker bot', an invisible unit that can hack through enemy doors. If you infiltrate the enemy base you can use their own production facilities to build robots for your team and footing them the bill, or you can break into the power station and force a self-destruct countdown.
There's also an 'executron' mode which lets you take up to 4 friends as personal robots who can interact with your buildings as you do, as well as enter and exit vehicles you produce.
The truly unique part of the game is in the name, 'executive assault'. You're the CEO of your own corporation, you're controlling everything from your office you've built into a personal fortress. A fortress that cannot be broken. Unlike most RTS games you don't simply 'shoot HQ until its HP hits zero'. This isn't Age of Empires, you can't sword a castle to death. You must assault. So, grab your favorite infantry-bot, hit "F" to tell others to "Follow", find the nearest exit point to the HQ, and work your way in. How you build your HQ determines its internal structure, and with a security center this includes security doors and auto-turrets. Fight your way to the center, hit that elevator, enjoy the calm music as you watch the enemy CEO unplug from RTS mode and arm themselves with a disassembler gun, hope you brought more robots than he brought bullets, and when those doors open rain hell on eachother. Should the CEO die, they've lost.
What makes this hard to recommend is hidden within that first paragraph.
There's only a skirmish mode, only a small handful of maps. And while you can play with friends, and while it has multiplayer, that doesn't mean there's a lot of people playing it online.
Basically I'm saying that if you plan to buy this game, either go in with friends (an absolute blast), or be prepared to sandbox and experiment with a developers passion project against the AI (what I do most of the time).
From what I've seen the sequel polishes up a lot of this, but I've not played that one yet.

I don't regret buying this game, but it just can't compete with other RTS games out there. The FPS part is a gimmick and doesn't really help, and the tanks and other machines are not fun to drive. Also, you will be alone in the battle. The entire UI is kind of bad. I didin't see any qualitative difference between airplanes and tanks and infantry.

The tutorial here is played as a small video and explained by a computer voice ... I hardly understand it... subtitles are not available.
singleplayer can not be saved...
even multiplayer games can be saved in good RTS games to play again later with the same people.
The written help can only be read BEFORE starting the game. Ingame it is then no longer possible... really stupidly solved.

reported bugs and desync problems are also ignored... So no more support for about 2-3 years... Can everyone read in the forum and think of it what he wants.
No wonder that part 2 will be nothing... he has already learned little from part 1.
But that would fit my impression of part 2, even if there is the same criticism from several buyers, it is ignored by the developer....The usual problem when you only listen to your fanboys.
It's a real pity. The game principle is really good. The implementation is really bad. In both parts.
If you've ever wanted that game, that elusive game where you have a guy in RTS mode and the rest of his team is playing an FPS, Executive assault is that game. Turn on Executrons in the multiplayer menu, and have a blast. I also reccomend Executive Assault 2, which is significantly different, and both games will give you hours of fun.

Its pretty fun in FPS, TPS, and RTS modes. Playing an executron can be very helpful but a good CEO(RTS) commander rightfully makes a bigger difference.
Overall, I'd say its worth it for a more RTS focused style game rather than one that focuses overly on the player mechanics.

Until the server issues are addressed, calling this game "multiplayer" is essentially a scam.
1-3 players are dropped from the game in the first few minutes of every single match, making it virtually impossible to actually play the game online.
5+ people bought this game on sale so we could play together, and the broken netcode essentially scammed us out of a chance to play online. The reliability has consistently gotten worse over time. Where once we were barely able to eke out a single full-length match after more than a half-dozen attempts, now it's gotten so bad that no amount of effort or patience is capable of yielding any success at all with the so-called "multiplayer" aspect. Based on what is described on the store page, I truly feel scammed.
This game is advertised as having online multiplayer that literally doesn't function.

Feels like it was made by 1 guy on a budget, but $13 full price is fair for what you get IMO. Definitely worth it on sale. It's fun solo, but I feel like it would be way better in multiplayer. I just don't have friends to play it with.

With a VERY small team (if you know the size of the team, you'll understand.) this entry still, despite bugs (and some lacking of polish) is an amazing game, deserving to be in the years of the golden age of RTS simply for its small editions.
The unit control is phenomenal when compared with similar ''unit control'' titles such as the Men of War franchise. Despite a more simple concept without a fully realized inventory such as in MoW, EA (executive assault) surpasses MoW in this experience as the system ultimately doesn't feel half baked, it is not laggy or encumbersome (again despite the lack of polish in some cases) and this makes the unit control.

The game is good, but it could be amazing... it still not finished. Neither Executive Assault 2.
+ You can go into the battlefield and that is amazing
- There is no much room for any tactics rather than fire power and quantity of troops, and go straight and shoot (that is what the AI does, at different speed depending the dificulty)
- There are some bugs that affects the UX
- After some playing the game some time it could be very repetitive

After I watched Jerma and Star, I was amazed by the concept. A Command and Conquer type of game (boy, the developer must be getting sick of hearing this comparison) mixed with a FPS element.
Now, I don't really review games much; however, I hate seeing shortassed reviews so get ready for a pretty long but detailed review. I will also try to keep it entertaining.
This review will talk about everything, so I will add a very short TL:DR and criticism at the bottom.
I will try format this review very well, so you can read the entire thing or skip to the interesting bits. (Steam formatting sucks.)
Let's begin.
The game
In Executive Assault, you play a rich corporate snob, whom wants to get rid of the competing capitalistic swine on the other side of the map.
Now usually in a our world's economy, one would try to do this by running his golf buddy out of business. In this game however, the businessmen strategy that will be in practice is filling your competitor with a variety of destructive matter.
Which may include: Lasers, Quantum Particles, Rockets, Shells, Bullets.
The game is won when the enemy executive takes damage. The only way to reach the enemy executive is to power your self through the buildings go up the elevator of the HQ and do what I said above.
Usually in games you ( or subjectively I ) will not give a ♥♥♥♥ about the people involved and probably skip the credits. In this game on the other hand it is worth to note the developer(s).
This game was directed by , the programming was done by , the graphic design were made by , and the sound effects were also made by .
How it works
Economy:
You start the game with your company's headquarters which you can build around.
Like most RTS games you will probably start with setting up a main power grid which you do by building a power plant.
Once you have that ticked off of your check list, you will want to start your economy.
There are three types of resources in the game.
Iron, which you get by building iron extractors on iron fields. You will need this to build basically anything.
Trions, which generate after researching the Trion Generator. You will need this to build unique Trion weapons.
and Heskosium, which you can pick up from crashed in meteorites. You will need this to build advanced units.
One thing to note is, that your iron extractors need to be connected to the power plant. You can do this by building a chain of pylons.
If you reached your power generation capacity you can collect Thorium crystals that are spread over the map with drones which increase generation.
To boost research you collect Calcit Crystals.
Buildings and Units:
This game was pretty much just released for early access. So it does not have a huge amount of units, but neither does it have a small amount. All your units can be equipped different kind of weapons which can be researched in the research tab.
Units
There is basic infantry which till now only consists of one type of drones with different armor.
(Also you can build a single invisible hacker drone which can overload the enemy power plant, blowing it up and it can disable enemy defenses)
There are vehicles.
Light Jeeps.
Two different tanks medium and heavy.
And light, medium and gigantic walkers.
(The gigantic walker can make your units ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fly OUT of the map if you get kicked by it in first person. It's hysterical)
There is also aircraft.
One Fighter, one transport pickup, and two bombers.
Buildings
I will not talk about every building as that would be too time consuming for you and me.
All major buildings must be connected to the HQ, and are made almost instantly. (For now, they also seem to be virtually indestructible) the The only exception being the pylon and iron extractor which are made by drones. There is also a limited building area for major buildings that can not be extended.
There are also defense buildings which can be build in the limit area but they do not have to be connected to the main buildings.
There are production buildings for each respective type of unit, there are buildings that allow you to have security (will talk about that later), research, radar, artillery/missiles, and other useful things.
Research
Too keep it short, you can research a lot of things in this game. There are many research tree that upgrade your units, unlock more of 'em, allow you to build more advanced buildings, give you more power. Etc.
You can speed up research by collecting calcite crystals (it's basically ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ chalk).
Defenses
There are plenty types of defenses, most importantly different types of gates, which you can build inside of buildings to prolong the time the enemy takes to get to your executive. Inside you can also build an alarm, which is pretty handy to know if someone is sneaking around in your main base. There are turrets you can build outside and inside. Which can also be pretty handy, and walls outside which I have not build because of the building area being to small for it to be worth it.
Humor:
This developer has humor, not too much, but still has funny little tweaks to make at least you chuckle. Like the Gigatron's pilot having a cocktail.
I don't want to ruin it for you, but for example when you ride the elevator up to brutally slaughter the enemy executive, some classy elevator music is playing. Also the summer sale trailer is genius.
Criticism
There are some things the game can improve on, this is entirely subjective though, so don't take my suggestions as absolute ( I have also might have missed a few things). Of course it will be fair criticism as once again, this is made by one guy so I will only talk about game play.
Main enemy buildings can not be destroyed, at least from my experience. This is simply stupid. Now of course I do not mean that the buildings should be destroyable from the outside, neither do I think the HQ should be destroyable, but there should be a spot which you should be able to destroy the building from. Right now there is no point for why you should defend buildings from the inside. Of course this would mess with the gate mechanic but there must be a way around this like being able to protect the "spot" by building dors around it (example would be the Security Control building which has that) Of course the buildings should have a decent amount of Hit points even from the inside.
Selecting buildings should be easier. (Maybe add a bigger rectangle instead of a small circle to select it)
All the resources but iron are visually too small.
Buildings should not build instantly.
The building area is too small for defensive buildings to be worth anything.
Hackerbots, should be able to do more, like disable any buildings by getting to their main control HUB.
TL:DR:
For a game made by one guy and it just being released as an early access title it has a lot of content, of course it needs a lot of polishing done and some bugs to be fixed. But as long as there will be new content and improvements coming in, for 13$ it is definitely worth picking up. It also has a FANTASTIC soundtrack.

this is a very ambitious game. it gives you a RTS and a FPS hybrid while revolutionizing both aspects. in practicality, it does manage to do achieve this, however it suffers. this game is good at everything, but it's a master of none.
call this game germany because it needs some polish. however, i dont think that any will come. it has a noticable lack of a proper tutorial, and instead gives you a book of the basics. the UI works the bare minimum required. some functions are so ambiguous that i cant get them to work, let alone understand them.
content wise, its got a lot for you to work with in game. there is no campaign and there are no missions, leaving only a skirmish setup with about 10 maps and a multiplayer system that i doubt can get any use out of.
now why reccomend this? because despise all of these issues, it still is pretty fun. this game has a ton of unique features that i havent seen in other RTSs, and it has some pretty decent AI. then when you take into account this was all made by one developer, its clear why the game is how it is.
overall, worth a try, but i wouldnt put it high on the list of things to get.
Das Spiel ist für mich persönlich ein richtig gutes Strategiespiel.
Der erste Grund ist, dass es einen Forschungsbaum im Gefecht gibt, um die Einheiten mit der Zeit immer stärker zu machen und gleiches zu wissen, wie weit der Gegner schon gekommen ist.
Der zweite besondere Grund ist, was in einem Strategiespiel überhaupt nicht üblich ist, dass man jede einzelne eigene Einheit in der First-Person Sicht selber steuern kann. (Wirklich ALLE).
Nur das mit dem Energiemanagement finde ich etwas eintönig, da man sofort die volle Leistung in die Forschung stellt, und die Verteidigung eigentlich völlig vernachlässigen kann, weil man sonst technologisch komplett im Nachteil ist.
Aber dennoch ist das für ein 7 Jahre altes Spiel eine gute Kombination von Strategie und First-Person Shooter.

and so there were only small patches executed and none since 2018 - the concept would have deserved more...
