Amazing quest!
An atmospheric beauty, perfect for a low spoons recharge time snuggled up in bed and comfy. Lovely, peaceful soundtrack. Nice variety of puzzles. The Slavic/mystical theme is a big draw to me. Very magical, feel-good experience for both the main game and additional story with the collector's edition. A cozy experience that leaves you dreaming of far-off worlds beyond our imagination.

I really enjoy Hidden Object games, and considering this is one based in fairy tales (or the Slavic equivalent), I was super excited to play. This is the first in the Eventide Trilogy.
You play as a famous botanist who is on her way to a park she had spent a lot of time in growing up that is owned and run by her grandmother. While on her way, she is run off of the road by a very large bat-like creature, and is subsequently rescued by Boruta. Come to find out, Boruta and the bat creature are working together and they manage to kidnap your grandma! From here, you work with the mysterious park inhabitants to get to stop Boruta and save your grandma!
The storyline itself is captivating and easy to follow, making it a lovely game for people of all ages to enjoy. Considering other Artifex Mundi games I have played in the past, this game did seem overly simplified and the story wasn't as in-depth or as rich. There is a lot of potential that could have gone into the storyline on the origin of the creatures, how the park came to be, and could have included more of the creature interactions themselves. Despite that, the game is still good enough that it's enjoyable to play. The map is split into two sections instead of multiple chapters, which makes it really easy to backtrack between scenes for different items or interactions. Now, icons on the map can be related to one or two different scenes, so there still can be a little confusion, but the game is simple enough it's easy to figure out what is where. The characters are enjoyable to meet and interact with (though I wish I could interact with more of the characters from the beginning) and the designs were creative. The game itself is fairly short, and can easily be completed in around 5 hours, though that easily is doubled if you achievement hunt and play the bonus content.
Just like most of Artifex Mundi's games, the artwork and designs of the scenery and the characters is breathtaking and is clearly a labor of love. Every scene is whimsical and beautiful, taking advantage of the lighting of fire or moonlight to add depth. Despite some areas being more broken down than before, it still felt very touristy, and I loved seeing the details in every moment.
With this being a hidden-object game, there weren't a whole lot of those. There were more puzzles in this than hidden objects, but I did appreciate the variety that were given. Some of the HO games were word-based, others were picture based. Some even had one particular item you had to find multiple of. The HO games didn't seem repetitive and were spread out with multiple kinds of puzzles, which made it so much more engaging.
To add to that, there are two different kinds of collectibles you can find throughout the game~ You have creature cards (think Pokemon cards, but with Slavic fairy tale creatures) and you have flowers! The creature cards had descriptions to them, and I was so excited to see what the next one was! I just wish there were more of those creatures added into the game itself.
The achievements you can get in the game are kind of standard for most HO games with there being story-based ones, then achievements linked to the puzzles and HO games you play, and others linked to the collectibles. There is always a variety, but if you play a lot of Artifex Mundi's games, you know what to expect for most of them. Still very achievable and can easily be gotten within a couple playthroughs!
Overall, I do recommend playing this game. It is a wonderful starting place for those that don't play a lot of these or want to introduce them to their kids since it is very simple. While the game itself wasn't one of the greatest HO games I've played, it certainly held its own. It's short, simple, and sweet, and definitely is worth it's price point. I can't wait to play the other games in the series to see how they compare!

не рекомендую, взбесило очень сильно что оказывается во первых- лопата нужна не чтобы что-то откопать или закопать а подставить под дверь и ключ упадет внутри с замочной скважины на лопату и потом ты добудешь ключ, а во вторых железный шлем нужен как ведро чтобы в него налить масло с бочки, что угодно думала что использовать шлем как ведро очень не логично и тупо, и такого в игре много, логика отсутствует в предметах и взаимодействиях между ними, Не Рекомендую вообще, Сюжет очень вялый мне не понравился совсем.
I really enjoyed this game. It's not quite as challenging as other hidden object games, so it didn't last quite as long, but it was enjoyable all the same!
Just a nice sit-down-and-relax HOG. Storyline is okay but it's the cute little creatures, the beautiful scenery and the soothing, lovely music that makes up for it. The puzzles are not too difficult and I enjoyed the Slavic folklore and creatures. Hope to see Mary. Baba and their little friends in an Eventide 2

人脸画得比较..不协调, 应该和使用的技术有关, 尤其奶奶的脸和小男孩儿的脸, 做表情的时候有点尴尬.
剧情和逻辑只是辅助, 小孩子看看就行了, 对我来说不重要.
有的小游戏关卡有点难, 我直接跳关了(第一个是让所有圆环内的小球颜色一致, 没明白怎么个意思, 另一个是右转3格左转2格的那个转盘游戏), 不知道有没有直接选择小游戏玩的地方, 找了一圈好像没有, 要是通关后可以选小游戏再玩就好了.

Graficznie nie jest źle, ale cudów też nie ma, ot taki standard dla tego typu gier i użytego silnika, Fabularnie też bez porywów. szczególnie że od zamku fabuła i logika zagadek traci spójność, wyraźnie ktoś się wyczerpał z pomysłów i wrzucał wszystko co mu przyjdzie do głowy. Zagadki? część wygląda na wciśnięta na siłę. Całość oceniam na dobrą studencką robotę w wolnych chwilach ale to jeszcze nie ma poziomu gdzie można nazwać to efektem pracy studia. Ot taka giereczka na max 3 godzinki dla rozruszania szarych komórek, Cenowo dałbym za to max 5 pln, zresztą kupiłem właśnie na promocji trochę ponad podaną kwotę.

Good HOG game with an atmospheric dash of Slavic legend, and varied puzzles. There was a fair amount of backtracking, and revisiting previous locations for puzzles to be 'active' again which is a little annoying, but still fun. The bonus chapter fits neatly into the story.
Also, if you are reading this and asked to find 'Centimeter' it is behind the broken glass (I have no clue what it is), a Morgenstern is a mace, and the 'helm' is like on a ship not a helmet. ^-^
Es un juego entretenido para las personas que les gusta buscar objetos ocultos y seguir una historia de misterio. Tienes la posibilidad de consultar pistas y omitir algunos puzzles. Este tiene dos historias a completar . Me gusto mucho porque tiene desafíos fáciles y difíciles de acuerdo vayas avanzando en la historia.

Eventide 1: Slavic Fable is a nice Hidden Object Mystery about investigating a mythic theme park overtaken by the legends from the exhibits. Definitely a pleasant playthrough full of interesting tales, although some reviewers have commented it's more of a grab bag of European cultural icons than specifically Slavic ones.
The sequels are generally decent. Sadly, this is yet another Artifex Mundi game where a full achievement run requires completing it on Expert mode.

I really enjoyed this relaxing point and click game. The puzzles were challenging on expert mode and made you think, especially when you had to backtrack a bit. The story was great; the voice acting was alright for what the game is. There is an additional scenario after you complete the game, which was also fun. I'd highly recommend games from this developer.

Typical AM point and click hidden object game. The puzzle mini-games are pretty easy, even for the genre. All in all I would expect most players to get at leas 3-4 hours out of this game.
A strange bat creature runs you off the road! You are a botanist on your way to find an endangered flower, but your day takes a dark spin. You must now stop the evil Boruta to save both Slavic creatures and your captured grandmother! Story and characters based around Slavic fairytale.
This story is wonderfully narrated and has plenty of cuts scenes that keep you enthralled. Characters are cute and nothing scary, only slightly ominous - so great for younger players. It offers casual, advanced and expert modes. Expert isn't very difficult. It is slightly easier than some other Artifex Mundi titles with hidden object scenes and the mini games - but does have the additional hunting achievements which can add more challenge. Sadly, it has a few identical mini games which are seen in other AM titles. I prefer to see more variety, or I'll already know the solution before beginning the puzzles.
Scenes are all beautiful made up of cool-toned colours with plenty of forest and small old-fashioned village scenes.
Great cozy game for a casual evening to play at your own pace.

Really cute aesthetic for a hidden object game. Fun to see a different take on fairy tales/folklore than an American/western European perspective. Kind of goofy per usual but that's to be expected with Artifex Mundi. This one is a bit on the easier side.
Nice HO game from the Artifex Mundi realm. Graphics and sound are good, the story progresses well and you always know what to do next. This said, it is an easy game for one lazy afternoon. No fillers or stopping riddles, even on expert mode.

Das Spiel hat Spaß gemacht und man kann einiges über slawische Fabelwesen erfahren. Die Rätsel waren alle sehr einfach und gut für Einsteiger geeignet. Trotz Hinwei, dass ich es auf dem Steamdeck nicht spielen kann, ist es super darauf zu spielen gewesen und ich habe auch alle Achievements schnell zusammen gehabt. Ich mag die Grafik dieser Spiele und freue mich auf den zweiten Teil. Für meinen Geschmack sind solche Spiele immer viel zu kurz

如果奔着神话背景的噱头玩的话建议是别玩，如果是想玩寻物解谜的话可以玩但建议是别看寓言卡片尝试了解背景。
谜题游戏性之类的设置方面设计的还不错很顺畅，基本没有刻意为难的地方。

[b]Eventide: Slavic Fable[/b] is first game of the Eventide series published by Artifex Mundi, following with Eventide 2: The Sorcerers Mirror and Eventide 3: Legacy of Legends. It's a point & click mystery adventure hidden object game. It's loosely based on slavic folklore creatures and mythology.
[b]Plot summary[/b] - Your name is Mary Gilbert and you work as endangered species savior or botanist what would you call it. You get a letter from your dear grandma 'baba', who is asking you to save the endangered flower that keeps the whole Moorland village alive, but this turns out to be least of your concern. You meet with a man named Boruta, who seems nice and helpful at first. Turns out they aren't what they claimed to be and they are just a maniac who wants power over humans and eternal life. You are helped by mythical creatures of the forest who are friends with your grandma and for in return you promise to provide them with the magical powder that makes them human again. Boruta kidnaps your grandma to use them as human sacrifice in their midnight ritual, you need to save them and the forest before it's too late.
[b]Extra chapter[/b] plot doesn't have anything to do with the main story, it has same characters and places, but no indications to the main game story. You are small girl, i assume it's Mary's mother in this story, but not completely sure if i caught any names that indicate that. They live with their mother - Baba/grandma from the main story. Mother is sick and little girl wants to save her, for that they need the endangered pink mythical flower. You escape from the house in the night and travel to the forest where you have to help creatures to prove you have pure heart, that is needed to get to the flower.
My personal opinion about the plot is that it's nothing special. I like to play more of the realistic stories that are taking place in modern/modernish times, but this wasn't so bad. Plot is your typical one you see in these games. I have started to notice that almost all or at least good amount of Artifex Mundi games follow the exact same plot line. You have the main character who is helped by a person at first, they turn out to be the evil bad guy and then you have to chase them down and make world a better place again. I'm amused how often the evil in the game first are seen as the helping good guy. Even though the plot was cookie cutter same as in others, i think it was decently executed in this one so it wasn't extremely boring.
[b]Mechanics and game play[/b] of the game were good. You don't have map in the first part of the game, but you obtain it quite early which makes the in game moving easier. Gotta point out minor oddity in this game, map is 2 sided and you need to flip it, haven't seen that before. You have your basic journal, where you can see your notes and stories you have found. You have [b]three (3) difficulty levels[/b], i played this on expert even though i usually like to play on advanced, but that choice was only because the one achievement you can get, i'll explain it later in the review.
[b]There was plenty of HO scenes[/b], few of them were repetitive, but that isn't a problem if it only stays in a few. I think over half of the HO's were find by shape ones, instead find by the word/names. I like the name ones more personally, but i think overall in this game there's a good balance in the HO's. You have extra chapter after the main story, which is always a plus in my books. I have played so many of these type of games so far that almost every game seems to be same kind, that is where i come to the mini games. They are same, same ones i have played hundred times across the genre. There wasn't any rare or special mini game that you don't see often, because all of them were the sames that you see often, specially in Artifex Mundi games. I ain't game developer just a gamer, but i think that there should be many new options for the mini games in the world or am i wrong? Something new and refreshing would be cool, because at the moment it's just that i know how they work, what is the logic behind the puzzles to solve them, so it's just me brainless clicking the puzzle in less than few minutes to solve it. Also what comes to the puzzles in this game, some of the so claimed 'puzzles' didn't even feel like ones, they were more like interactive stories. Too easy for to even be called puzzle, you just place the symbols/pictures over the obvious spots while there is story telling.
You can also find extra materials in the main menu, like music, wallpapers, mini games and so on. That is always a plus in my opinion. I liked the art work, but Artifex Mundi rarely disappoints in that category to be honest. It gave me a children's book dreamy magical forest vibes. Music was fitting and good, didn't feel repetitive. Voice acting was between decent and good. I don't have my hopes up what comes to the acting in these types of games, but in this one i think it was OK.
[b]Achievements[/b] were good in my opinion. Only achievement i didn't like was the complete the game in hard difficulty. When it might not be a problem for me to play the game on hard, i think it leaves out some players, specially the ones who haven't played these games much and want to get some help in the game. These type of games are usually played pass time like in a light casual way. There are missable achievements like the collect all cards one and there isn't clear indicator that there is card seen on the scene like some games do, but i would say overall still it's kinda hard to miss the cards or flowers for example since often they aren't so well hidden. Most of the achievements come with the story as you go, few of them are based on the mini games and HO scenes, like find all objects in less than minute etc. I got all the achievements quite easily. Even if you miss one flower like for example in the first part of the game, you can go back there almost always since there isn't really blocked places.
What comes to the [b]game length[/b], it didn't take me so long to play little bit over 3 hours on hard adding the extra chapter, played on pc. I would say for someone not so familiar of this genre, maybe 5 hours or so. It's not that long and that is what is considered in my next statement. This game is 14,79 euros (16,09 USD) without sale, i would not recommend this unless it's on a sale. Personally i can't justify myself buying a game with that price when i only get few hours of play from it and probably never going to play again. I would wait it to come to a like over 50% sale.

The first in a 3 part series. I think they did a very good job presenting this at the introductory chapter.
It was very enjoyable and it was quite lengthy. The play time is incorrect because I played the game twice and left it running sometimes while I took some breaks, but It did take me longer than most so I;d say average of 3- hours maybe, including bonus chapter and almost completionist.
The puzzle difficulty was just perfect. It wasn't too easy but it wasn't tediously hard either. Just enough to give you a challenge and be enjoyable at the same time.
For the hidden object scenes, I think it was fantastic. The amount of variety on mechanics and scenes the game had; I don't think I've seen in games of that age or released that year. Very few scenes were repeated and if they were, the mechanics were changed. The difficulty, to me, was very balanced. I did have maybe 2 scenes were I had trouble finding an object or two, still nothing that drove me crazy.
The art is very well done. Sometimes, too well. I did get that uncanny valley feeling at times, especially with the children/forest critters. I tried to rush those scenes as fast as I could 'cause it just made me feel a little uneasy. I know that's something that doesn't affect everyone so I am not fully counting it as a detractor.
The story is based on a fable. I don't know much about European folklore so I can't attest to how true to it, it may be or if its 100% new. I still liked it. Fables, myths and folk stories are always very entertaining in my book.
Overall, for an 8 year old game, it holds extremely well. I'd even go so far as to say this is a better game that a lot of games released in the past year.
Definitely give it a chance.

Short, Fun, Puzzle game.
Another fantastic Artifex Mundi game, one of the most beautiful in art and sound design, immaculate puzzling and great quality all around as usual. Some great voice acting in English, some passable, and well, then there's the protagonist. Doesn't deter from the overall enjoyment, however.

Eventide: Slavic Fable is an exciting adventure game inspired by Slavic mythology.
Set in a contemporary heritage park where mythical Slavic creatures co-exist with humans, the adventure begins when the protagonist, a famous botanist, receives an alarming invitation from her grandmother, the park's curator. The protagonist is tasked with saving an endangered plant, but this turns out to be the least of her concerns. Her Grandma is kidnapped by the mysterious Boruta, who is plotting to conquer and destroy the world using the park's ancient magic.
The protagonist must seek alliance with the creatures living in the park, in order to defeat the villain, save her Grandma, and prevent worldwide calamity. Will she be able to stop Boruta and his evil forces?"
Roaming through the areas this mythical setting has to offer, 38 beautiful, diverse locations have to be discovered, 43 challenges need to be completed. Accompanied with a captivating background story, all set in this wonderful setting.
Art style of the game is overall mediocre cartoony, compared to other AM HOG. Expect colorful, yet ominous background in which the game plays. Withchaotic, somewhat more blended backgrounds.All lot of variation is implemented throughout the entire game, with the backgrounds being beautiful enough to blend the game to a whole experience.Storywise, the game is not divided up into chapters, making it a more streamlined, railroad and rather short HOG. Hence, backtracking between several areas is not required as much, which keeps a good pace throughout the game.
The ambient sound effects and backgroundmusic blend in seamlessly with the graphics and gameplay, and add to the enjoyment. Background music can be repetitive, however,ranging from piano music to soothing roleplaying music. Whereas all dialogue is spoken. Animations are present in a more simplistic, static manner, but the lipping of the characters is done in a better way than previous AM installments.
There are very few standard hidden object scenes, with occasionally some combination objects in them, pretty standard as in previous AM games. Some objects, like the cards and flowers, found in the backgrounds are somewhat difficult to find and can be missed, since they have an achievement attached to them, beware achievement hunters. With the minigames, heck the entire game, being more on the easy side. Some of the games were very enjoyable however. In the second half of the game, more inventory items being to collect and it can become more unclear what to do next.
There is a bonus chapter included as well, which is not required to play to unlock all the achievements. The gameis, with only one playthroughof the base game required, to achieve a perfect game, excellently suited for achievement hunters and completionists. Three achievements are particularly easy to miss out on,two collection ones and the “Bookworm” achievement, which is notoriously hard. If you are gunning for a perfect game on the first playthrough, I recommend consulting a guide beforehand though, to make sure you do not miss out on the collection achievements and especially the “Bookworm” one. But the game can be perfected in one playthrough with using a guide easily. 25 achievements have to be unlocked to get a perfect game, easily done under 3 hours or less.
Overall, Eventide – Slavic Fable, is a lower difficulty, very linear, shorter edition, compared to other installments of the Artifex Mundi publisher line. Developers “The House of Fables” created a somewhat typical HOG, with fewer hidden object scenes, and some hidden objects integrated in the backgrounds. The Bookworm achievement made me play through the game 3 times, which was unnecessarily frustrating.
Recommended for: hidden object game lovers, achievement hunters, completionists& casual gamers.

Depois de muito tempo sem jogar puzzles/hidden objects, esse foi um jogo muito legal e de certa forma um pouco nostálgico. Como joguei em inglês, serviu pra melhorar um pouco o vocabulário - precisei procurar algumas palavras kkkkk
Niewymagająca, ale też i nieangażująca gra, która z założenia miała zainteresować słowiańskim folklorem. Niestety wypadło tylko dziwnie i przaśnie... Szkoda... Jako HOPA przyjemna gierka z ograniczonym męczeniem konieczności poszukiwania przedmiotów na rzecz eksploracji. To zdecydowanie na plus. Podobnie jak piękna muzyka. Jak widać, jednak gra ma jakieś plusy. Ale na bieżąco grając ma się poczucie obcowania ze średniakiem...
Very uncanny valley and mildly confusing, thou an interesting plot. I wish it explained more about the Slavic mythology. Definitely not a particularly enjoyable game.

I enjoyed this one, though I had to play it 2.5 times to get the achieves. Read all notes, play on hard setting, find all items. Good thing is if you play it and then play it a 2nd time, it'll remember what you collected before so you don't have to play the game all the way through unless it's the last note lol so look for that last note before you complete the game if you want achieves.

More puzzles than HO scenes but still a very enjoyable game. I experienced one glitch with the cauldron mini-game where I was unable to get interact with the mini-game. I exited and restarted the game but it was stuck. Eventually, I just skipped it to progress. Otherwise, no issues during game play.
Eher nervig. Grafik schön, nett gemalt, phantasievoll. Aber man wird wegen jeder Kleinigkeit durch die Gegend gescheucht. Toll, du hast dies? Leider fehlt aber noch... Oh, jetzt hast du es ja endlich, aber sorry, du brauchst auch jenes...
Minigames kennt man bereits aus den anderen Spielen. Fast als wären sie eins zu eins übernommen - nur ein wenig anders angemalt.
Kann man spielen, gibt aber schönere Spiele dieser Art. Dieses wirkt nicht sinnvoll durchdacht und teilweise unlogisch. Auch sind Umrisse von Gegenständen zum Teil echt schrecklich. Was soll das sein? Später: aha, da soll eine Muschel rein. Darauf muss man aber auch erstmal kommen, da der Umriss mit dem einer Muschel nicht viel gemein hat. Für ein paar Euro im Angebot kann man es mitnehmen, ansonsten meiner Meinung nach eher nicht.

Gra warmiańska. Znaczy się słowiańska. Głównym antagonistą jest Wiesiek chujiński a nam pomagają jakieś leśni nitro druidzi czy coś. Nie do końca wiem co tam się dzieje się bo gra jest jak podróż do Wilkowa asterką w oparach białych buteleczek.
還可以的小品作，值得一提的是用心製作的小卡片，可惜中翻不太OK。
这个神话系列的优点是画面的氛围感，虽然本作不是最好看的那一作

На краю одного древнего леса располагался парк, посвященный славянским мифам и легендам. Посетители могли познакомится с историей жизни славян, а также много узнать о существах и духах, в которых они верили. Каково же могло бы быть удивление гостей, если бы они узнали, что в окрестностях парка действительно жили домовые, банники, лешие и другие волшебные создания! Управляла этим парком Бабушка и была у неё внучка, Мария, которая унаследовала бабкину любовь к травам и стала известным ботаником. И вот, однажды, девушка получила тревожное письмо с просьбой срочно приехать в парк. Маша быстро собирается и отправляется туда. А у ворот парка на неё напал гигантский нетопырь, который чуть не уничтожил машину и только вмешательство некоего Боруты спасло положение. Нам предстоит помочь Бабушке, спасти сказочных существ и нарушить планы местного злодея.
Об игровом процессе трудно сказать что-то новое. Мы, как всегда, ищем нужные вещи в сценах поиска предметов, применяем их в нужных местах и движемся далее. Поиск предметов и головоломки достаточно простые и проблем не вызывают. По игре разбросаны коллекционные предметы: аленькие цветочки и карточки с существами, которые пополняют нашу энциклопедию и позволяют больше узнать о славянских мифах. В пути нам будут встречаться волшебные создания и с ними можно будет пообщаться. Из минусов хочу отметить, что игра слишком незапоминающиеся. Спустя какое-то время я ни смог вспомнить о ней ничего. От других игр остаётся хоть что-то: в одной что-то понравилось, в другой нет, одна была красивая, а другая такая дурацкая, что даже запомнил. А «На закате» очень нейтральная и не оставила после себя ничего.

Нарисована игра хорошо, красиво, но темновато. Фоны детально проработаны, а персонажи хорошо нарисованы. Музыка приятная, а диалоги все озвучены.
Хорошая игра среднего уровня. Рекомендую попробовать хотя бы ради незаезженной тематики.
ah, yes. another old-but-gold AM HOG. i no longer aim to 100% the achievements, tho i will say it is truly a great experience to remember this game. other than the rest of the ones i've played before and played again, the gameplay for this one seems pretty quick. nothing to say much about the puzzles, they weren't as difficult. the characters were pretty cute! extra story felt short but nonetheless, happy i got to play it. i might play the next slavic fable in a while. i'd definitely rate this game a [u]7/10[/u] for the experience and would still recommend to others.

"Eventide: Slavic Fable" is a free mobile app that's been dumped on Steam as a lazy, cheap cash grab. It's a routine mobile ported hidden object casual puzzle/adventure game with a historical/fantasy/mystery theme. Solving various puzzles and hidden object minigames progresses the plot and unravels the mystery.
As with most mobile ported HOGs, there's a simplistic interface, locked/unchangeable screen resolution, next to no customisability, and somewhat low resolution graphical assets. All of this puts this game below minimum standards for a contemporary PC game, and Artifex Mundi have been polluting Steam with these low effort mobile apps for years.
From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard.
There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision.
The controls can't be customised because the game has such a dumbed down, simplified interface that it's just point and click stuff like a browser/Flash game. The fact that the interface is this dumbed down might be seen as a problem in itself, however... this is a fairly shallow experience if you're the kind of gamer that likes to play games with deep, rich control schemes and interaction. You'll get none of that here.
These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game.
Once more we see greedy mobile devs trying to scam PC gamers. On Steam, this is an eye watering $15 USD (You could get the entire Mass Effect Trilogy for the same price as this mobile app), on app stores, it's free. Mobile devs must learn PC gamers are not here to be gouged, and can't be expected to pay FIFTEEN BUCKS FOR A FREE MOBILE APP just because it's been lazily dumped on Steam. This is unacceptable disrespect for PC gamers. Because this can be played free elsewhere, and because of the other defects, it's impossible to recommend. Who do they think we are?
I love Artifex Mundi and HO games but I vastly prefer the list format scenes. This game hasn't had any of those so far and some of the actions to navigate the map and objectives between scenes have made less sense than the average Artifex Mundi HO - they all have a moment or three of questionable logic but this one seems to have a few more than the average.
But my biggest complaint comes down to a preference. This is one of their variations where they provide pictures or shape outlines of the things you're looking for. I'm all about the lists and this game hasn't had a list yet. I think it's a quality made AM HO, just not my preferred balance of puzzles to scenes or format mixture.
Fun, fantasy filled hidden object/puzzle game with some inventive additions to the genre. I really liked the interactive play added to the main storyline, i.e. luring a character out of a certain location to progress the story. Great hand drawn artwork.

It's quite neat puzzle game with nice atmosphere. The character designs are somewhat bland and simple, but it doesn't bother too much. Game's soundtrack is relaxing, art beautiful and detailed.
If you are experienced puzzler, I recommend to start with hardest difficulty level. I'm not too good of a player myself, yet the medium level felt mostly a bit too easy.
I don't think this game has a replay value though, unfortunately. But worth to buy from sale.
Spielt es nicht in Normal durch sondern gleich im Experten Modus es gibt dort keine großen Unterschiede außer das ihr das Spiel eigentlich wie vorgesehen für die Erfolgs Jäger so oder so im Experten Modus durchlaufen müsst! Also so zum spiel die Grafik ist schön bunt und die Rätzel recht gut gemacht auch wenn einige sehr einfach waren, zur Story nun ja viel von der Story hat man hier leider nicht, man Hilft kurz und dann rennt man eigentlich im Spiel rum bis man irgendwo wieder auf eine Charaktere trifft wo dann doch mal wieder was von der Story gesagt wird. Also im ganzen macht es recht Spaß mal sehn wie die Fortsetzung wird!
it's a HOG. the graphics are clunky, the voice acting is on the funny side of bad, and everything is weirdly convoluted

The first game of the series Eventide, based on Slavic folklore, you play a famous botanist, Mary, who received a letter from her grandmother who rarely writes her, she knew it was urgent so she drove to the park which her family owns. On her way, she had an accident, a creature hit her car and someone saved her, only to find her grandmother being kidnapped by the same man who pretended to be on her side. Mary will try to help her grandmother and the ancient plant which she mentioned in the letter.

There are few hidden object scenes, unlike what they mentioned on the store page. The puzzles are nice however, I found them enjoyable. What made me enjoy the game the most is the artwork, each area has some nice details and the choice of the color palette is beautiful. The soundtracks are nice as well, fitting the game's atmosphere.

I found the voice-overs and conversations are weak compared to other HOGs, you feel no emotions from the characters, and they don't actually speak to each other, if you meet someone, the main character doesn't converse with them, instead, they keep answering things without a context. I found this a letdown.

The bonus chapter was short and sweet, it tells the story of Mary's grandmother when she was young. I would recommend this game if you enjoy Slavic mythology, the collectible cards of the mythical Slavic creatures are a very interesting and good addition to the game.

My first Artifex Mundi game!
I chose this as my entrance because I love witchy botanical vibes, which it very much delivered on!
I didn't know anything really about Slavic mythology before going into this game so it was really interesting delving into that for me.
The puzzles were fun, a lot of hidden object puzzles as you'd expect, but also a few different types of puzzles- a few of which I got stuck on for a while! You can choose which difficulty you'd like at the start of the game - casual, advanced, or expert. I chose casual as I wasn't sure what to expect with this being my first Artifex Mundi game. I intend to go back and play the game on Expert to get the achievement and to see how it weighs against casual.
The cutscenes are....... hilarious. The animations are just so bad, but so bad that they're good again. But the static graphics are really pretty. The game gives you them as wallpapers too which is pretty neat! There's also some bonus content including a bonus adventure. This was a nice little story that revisted some of the locations with slight differences.
I streamed my playthrough to some friends so it became more of a group activity, which I very much recommend! It added more levels of fun and a touch of competition.
Overall, I definitely recommend this and will be going on to play the next games in the series!

Great game! Nice graphics, cool lore and just a lot of fun. A definite thumbs up. Right after finishing the main story I went ahead and bought the bundle to complete the trilogy. Is it worth it at full price? Personally, I'd say no. But, that's mainly because I play them (100% them) and come back maybe a year later if I'm bored. But, if you are the type to enjoy these once in a while; Yes definitely.
