Challenging! My grandma had this game on her Kindle when I was but a wee lad and I wanted to replay it, so I did, It's surprisingly hard! Probably the Hardest Hidden Object style of game I've ever played although I haven't done very many, so that might not be saying much. Playing the game on it's own is pretty fun, although I imagine to get the full experience you'd want to play the other Enigmatis games as well. I probably won't any time soon but I'd say go for it if you want.

The story element of this game is very fun! Although I imagine this is not the first Enigmatis game so you kinda just jump right into the middle of everything, but the "I remember now!" moments make the story coherent enough, The hidden Object part of the game is toouugh, but not impossible, esp if you memorize the scenes. The puzzles are also tough! but a good level of challenging for me when I just wanna chill.

In short, you should probably play the other Enigmatis games alongside this one, but if you like the genre, go for it!

I can't describe how captivated I am by this game.
I'd been searching for it for a long time, tracing back childhood memories. It turns out I played the second part of this game over eight years ago. And now there are three of them!

Overall, I'm absolutely thrilled. I finished the this first part in one sitting (and full achievements, yay!). And it holds up surprisingly well. It brings back warm feelings and memories.

Now I'm going to play the second and third parts :D

Но иногда предметы эти, почти нельзя увидеть своим зрением, а иногда они имеют странные названия. Очень мало хороших головоломок, почти нет.
Хотелось просто поскорее пройти и увидеть концовку. Я ожидала большего, очень детская и простая игра.

J'ai adoré cette trilogie : l'histoire, l'ambiance, les personnages, les énigmes.
Je la conseille sans hésiter, en particulier si vous avez aimé Nightmares from the deep par exemple.

Je l'ai également jouée sur téléphone, mais je trouve la version PC plus fluide dans l'enchainement des séquences (je n'ai quasiment pas tatonné pour trouver dans quelle zone de la carte chercher les éléments et je me suis rarement retrouvée avec des objets qui ne servaient que bien plus tard) et la recherche d'objets est évidemment plus agréable sur un écran plus grand.

En termes de durée, j'ai terminé ce premier jeu en 6h (histoire bonus comprise).

Puzzles are fun, story is good. BUT! I seem to have gotten this game a very long time ago and only now played it. I don't know if it was free or whether I got in on a sale, but the current price feels a bit too much for the amount of gameplay (I completed the whole game plus the extra adventure in about 5-6 hours - the extra time is the game open while I was afk lol) and for the lack of replayability. I definitely suggest if on sale, it's for sure fun!

I wanted to like this so much more than I actually did. Been sitting on the game for years due to backlogs and the like, but after finally playing it I've discovered that it didn't quite meet my expectations.

They should have called it [i]Enigmatis: Endless Backtracking Through Maple Creek.[/i]

Because that is what a lot of your time is going to be spent doing, there is no method of going all the way back across the map outside of doing it manually and the way the game is set up you [i]will[/i] be doing this constantly. Need something at the boat house? Pretty sure it was in the chapel. Need something at ritual site? Revisit five locations. I lost count of how many times I had to return to the detective's guest room. A part of this is likely because they needed to set up at least one jumpscare, which definitely didn't make it worth the tedium.

Speaking of the map, it's really tiresome to have to open my journal, go into the map to see what I might have missed, have to exit the map and then exit the journal again. Unless there is a map/full exit button I didn't see anywhere it got very annoying going through that every time I wanted to check my map. Which I did a lot of because it was frequently not obvious where you needed to go for something.

Another issue I ran into was sometimes I would do things the the game is expecting me to do.. and nothing happens. I click on what is clearly a shell, it doesn't get collected/checked off. I click it again, nothing. I come back to it a bit later.. finally it works. Same issue with evidence being placed on the wall; I'll place a piece where it seems like it should go a couple times and nothing happens. Later on I'm trying and again and now it magically works, as though I didn't try it on the [i]exact[/i] pixel it wanted or something.

The final thing that got me is how the end ends, because I went through that cliffhanger nonsense with Time Mysteries and couldn't stand it but here we are all over again. And talk about a [b]downer[/b] story, I own Enigmatis 2 and I'm not entirely sure if I want to bother with it. [spoiler]There is so much death and the bad guy gets away,[/spoiler] it left me feel so unsatisfied when I finished, especially with that bonus case.

Ultimately, if you love point & click games and don't mind some janky issues from age, I think you would probably enjoy Enigmatis. However, I would certainly not recommend it to myself. The hidden object scenes are pretty decent, even if a few words are [i]misleading[/i] such as cone = pinecone, and the puzzles weren't too tricky. Like I said, I wish I could say I liked it better than I did.

I've played a bunch of Artifex Mundi HOP games before I got to this one. This is one of their older games, and the age shows compared to the newer titles.

One of the biggest things I missed in this game compared to newer games was the ability to navigate using the map. In this game, you have to hoof it by hand everywhere you want to go. There's a map, but it just shows you where the locations are in relation to each other. You can't use it to fast travel.

There were also some rough edges on some of the click targets and interactions. Some of the HO puzzle objects required being clicked in a very specific place before they would register. And the lockpick puzzle was very fiddly trying to get the lockpick to engage with the lock.

That said, there were a much higher number of HO puzzles in this compared to others I have played from this studio, and they were more challenging.

Overall this game was much bigger and a bit more difficult compared to their newer titles, and I found that pretty rewarding, so despite the rough edges, I'd recommend this game to fans of the genre.

Minuses
The HOS aren't really connected to the story so I relied a lot on the map to figure out where to go next. The HOS also repeat at least twice and sometimes four times.
The "deductions" are just you dragging evidence you find to different circles on a board. You can just guess. The evidence is too small to see on its own and you need to look through a magnifying glass.
You're supposed to have lost your memory but seem to quickly recover it and I solved the "mystery" within about 15 minutes.
The plot is pedestrian and there aren't any memorable characters, except the creepy priest. In fact most of the game, you wander around encountering no one. You free a bunch of villagers from a spell, but only one sticks around to say a few lines to you.
My playing time doesn't reflect how much time I actually spent playing, but that I got distracted and went and did something else.

Pluses
The game delivers a horror atmosphere - there are no surprises so it's not true horror
The music is interesting and the loop is hard to hear.
The HOS are beautifully rendered. Objects can be hard to find because they fit naturally within the scene e.g. dumbbells placed atop the wheels of a skateboard.
The mini-games fit within what amounts to the plot.

Recommend with reservations, Firstly- the tutorial was bugged in such a way that I couldn't place evidence on the board at first. I think it had something to do with the magnifying glass, which I'm still not sure how to use, or for what purpose. I had to reset and skip the tutorial: even then in the beginning it was less than intuitive how it worked.

Secondly: It's an old game, so no fast travel. It was irritating to keep going back and forth between locations because I'd missed something or when a new hidden object scene randomly popped up again at a location that was clear across the map and I'd have no idea until I checked. The atmosphere is great, but I found it hard to differentiate objects against the background in HOPs. Loved the story though! No collectibles, yes bonus chapter.

Cons: too many hidden object scenes for my personal taste, and the map system is a bit clunky — you need to access it through the journal, and even then it only shows locations rather than allowing fast travel. That means a lot of backtracking to move between areas.

Enigmatis: The Ghost of Maple Creek lives to tell a simple tale. To keep in mind, this game was released in the year 2011. That's 14 years ago as of this time's writing. It blows my mind how much simple of a game this is. It had a simple plot of a missing woman to be found and mysteries unearthed in some village called Maple Creek. To your discovery, lies the depths of the unknown, its people, and what looms around the place.

For a game this old, there are no collectibles accounted for by the achievements. However, If you're the type to complete the achievements, I suggest focusing more on the achievements instead as they contain requirements such as finishing the HO scenes and minigames without hints. The puzzle and minigames are relatively harder and more challenging. It is also noticeable that some of the items in the hidden object scenes are hard to see due to how small they are and don't register when clicked sometimes. Along the game's journey, an evidence board is used to view how the case of the missing woman went down, attributed by pictures of places, people, and items related to the case. I would like to describe this feature fascinating as it truly unravels the ongoing story to the player.

There is also no option to lock the inventory into full view. Think of it as a closing and opening of your Windows Taskbar. The map is also in the notebook! You cant teleport to the areas so game feels a little longer with each step. There is a need to manually get into the intended area. Based on this premise, I believe it contributed to my unusually long playthrough for the game. I played for nearly four hours during the main story, and a little more than that if side story is included.

Despite the positives this game portrayed, I will still rate this a strict [u]7/10[/u] for its simplicity. I was simply not too engaged with the story, but I acknowledge that this is a great work of its time. Despite my personal judgement, I will still recommend this game. No jumpscares, but gloomy and eerie to its core.

Alright so, if there were not as many hidden-objects scenes, I would have enjoyed this way more than I have, but still recommend it.
I get that it's supposed to be the core of the game, but most of the time those scenes were annoying because they were everywhere and I think, misused. You could complete one, walk into the next location and there was another one, then you could go back to your previous location and the same HOS but with different objects would appear. I found it that it broke my immersion, because as a detective, if I had already search into a place, found a useful tool, why didn't I find the other useful tool ? Too much of the intrigue was resolved through HOS you didn't have acces in the first place despite them being in locations you could go anytime. I also found them poorly designed with way too much objects sometimes that it was hard to read the scene and some objects were just (almost) impossible to find and this led sometimes to frustration.
Aside from that, the mini games were great I really enjoyed completing all of them especially those in the 2nd story. Too bad there was just a few of them comparing to the HOS.
Story was pretty good and interesting enough to keep me going despite hating the HOS.
Looking forward to Enigmatis 2 still.

For a HOG, it started out so well. I kept on saying to myself, why can't all HOGS be like this? Then after about 1/3 of the way through, it became just another hog. Finding the hidden objects can be fun, but it then descends into getting an object in one area, going off into another area to find another object that goes with the first object, then going off into yet another area where you ca use the objects...and on and on. Typical HOG. So after a while, I didn't care any more. The plot is reasonable for a HOG, the artwork is better than most HOGS, but the going from point A to B to C to D to E... well, it's a typical HOG. But it started out soooo well.

Mobile çıkan Hidden objec. türüne göre animasyonları çok iyi, nesneleri bulmak biraz zorlayabiliyor ama ipucunuz sınırsız ve çok hızlı doluyor. Hikayedeki dedektifin ipuçlarını duvara asması ve bulduğunuz ipuçlarını birleştirip hikayeyi anlamaya çalışmanız oldukça iyi işlenmiş. Tabii kapısı açık, yıkık dökük odanızın duvarına çok önemli kanıtları ve cinayet silahını koymak kötü bir fikir olabilir.

多年之前就看陆夫人玩过，自己曾经也在手机上下过几作AM的作品。
这次突发奇想翻出来买了，除了机翻在找物品的时候造成了相当的麻烦以外，其他作为一个打发时间的游戏都挺不错的。
乌鸦森林系列作为AM最有名的代表作，总体体验和流程设计还是挺不错的。当然如果各个地点间能传送就更好了，毕竟跑路本身没什么意义。

My wife and I do this thing where we both play the same hidden object game at roughly the same pace so we can kind of play it co-op. This is particularly useful for intermittent internet outages when we can't play an actual co-op co-op game. We have a few that we play repeatedly / are always waiting for sales to try and expand our collection, but this particular episode of this particular series is one of our favorites.

I enjoy a lovecraftian detective-horror situation, and you might not expect it if you hadn't played a bunch of them, but hidden object games can really nail that vibe. This particular episode doesn't lean too hard on the supernatural horror lever, but without any explicit spoilers, it goes further down that path as the series continues.

The puzzles don't suffer from adventure game syndrome either, nothing where you discover the solution and you're like, "THAT was what I was supposed to do?!"

If you're new to the hidden object thing and/or need something that gives off that coveted spooky-cozy vibe, the Enigmatis series is a good place to start.

This is my favorite game ever, I first found it way back in like 2013 when it was unfinished and on my super old Kindle Fire, even though the story doesn't change each play threw it is still my favorite and I play it at least once a month! [u]Recommendation[/u]: a quality entry in the hidden-object genre, which is the first part of a trilogy telling the overarching story of hunting down a serial killer.

Critique: This is a pretty long hidden object game, and it's pretty well-executed in most regards. The voice acting isn't great, and the CGI cut scenes haven't aged particularly well (though this game does not employ the "horrible deep fakes" that are so prevalent in later games), but the story is perhaps the best/least nonsensical story in an Artifex Mundi game I've played so far. That isn't a terribly high bar, of course, but by contrast with many other games, this one's overall plot makes a fair amount of sense. How you advance the plot - wandering around town finding random objects and then discarding them before you can use them ten minutes later for a very similar task - is just as silly as in any other hidden object game, but the accumulation of clues, uncovering the secrets of the case...that all proceeds very well.

There are often times where you have an object that you need to interact with, but the hit box is SO SMALL and so close to the edge of the screen that you can easily get stuck. Exacerbating this problem is the fact that the game is SO HUGE, with such as large number of locations, and you have to do a lot of backtracking in the game to find the next clue. Clues can be in places that you've already visited a dozen times, so when you can't find the single little item that you need to click to advance the story, it can lead to a lot of wandering in Expert Mode.

This game has a lot of situations where you have a large inventory of useful items - a hacksaw, a knife, some scissors, say - but you can't use any of them for obvious tasks they could accomplish, like cutting some rope. This is almost always a problem in hidden-object games, and the larger adventure game category, but it's rare to play a game where you have [b]so many[/b] items that serve the same purpose at the same time.

The hidden object screens in this hidden object game are particularly brutal. Not because the graphics are poor (sometimes a problem in HOGs) or the clues ambiguous (the times you need to find a "pipe," "cloth," or "bow" are mercifully few), but because they're just [i]really difficult[/i]. Completing all the screens without using a single Hint is very difficult on Expert Mode.

[u]Review[/u]: You play the role of "the detective." The detective is running through the woods, and then wakes up on a road outside of the town of Maple Creek, where a storm seems to have wrecked much of the town. [spoiler]The detective realizes that all of her documents have been scattered around. She puts pieces together and slowly realizes that she was investigating the disappearance of a local girl, Kate, when she crashed her car. Through solving puzzles, she gathers up her missing belongings from various locations. Among her belongings is a hotel key, so she finds the hotel - which is both wrecked and abandoned - and then her hotel room. Her room has been ransacked, but she finds some of the evidence that she'd collected on the case, including an old ritual knife in a sealed evidence bag. Suddenly a mysterious figure outside reaches in the broken door, snatches the knife, and jumps off of the balcony to escape. Since she won't jump off the balcony, the detective races out front of the hotel. There, the detective finds a guy named "that man" (despite being a rather important character, "that man" is never once named, though eventually he gets called "Kate's Boyfriend") lying on the ground, badly wounded. She remembers "that man" from a flashback in which he tried to give her a leather satchel full of notes, which were gathered by a detective 30 years ago. The detective searches through the town to find first aid supplies to bind "that man's" wounds. She gets another key item from him, and then his eyes start to glow and he says "He is calling me!" over and over. At some point, a bell has started ringing in town. All of the townspeople go to the church, and the detective has to go there to stop the bell from ringing...but it has been ensorcelled and the detective must disrupt the magic. Once she succeeds, nearly all of the people clear out, and the detective fetches the ritual candles that open a trap door in the church below which she finds a bunch of evidence suggesting that the town's preacher is actually a cultist devoted to the demon Asmodai. It turns out that the mysterious figure has been Detective Hamilton all along - fellow shamus Hamilton investigated a series of disappearances in 1980, and he has obsessively remained in Maple Creek for decades, trying to stop the preacher. The preacher has been using the ritual knife to sacrifice people to Asmodai for a very long time (including Hamilton's girlfriend, who was killed 30 years ago). After a LOT of exploration and investigation, she finds Kate in a crypt and breaks her out. Then the detective helps Kate and her boyfriend, "that man," escape by repairing a truck for them to steal. Then the detective finds five demonic symbols which are the keys to an ancient burial mound; there she finds the preacher, being threatened by Hamilton (who still has the ritual knife). The detective follows Hamilton to a deeper chamber, where he is preparing to kill the preacher on a sacrificial altar (the game says "alter," but we know what they mean). Before he can do so, the detective topples a statue, destroying the altar before it can be used for more murder. There is a great flash of light, and when she comes to, we see that Kate and her boyfriend have been found by the police, but the cops tell you that the preacher and Hamilton both have vanished...[/spoiler]

Не советую тем кто не любит постоянного хождения по локациям, так как переход по карте тут не работает. Это очень затягивает прохождение и атмосфера теряется в нудном хождении туда-сюда. Сцены поиска на троечку - перевод слов не всегда удачен. Головоломок мало. В общем, если не с большой скидкой и не совсем не во что играть - лучше пройти мимо этой игры.

Der erste Teil einer Trilogie. Ein kleines, aber feines Wimmelbild-Abenteuer mit einer spannenden, mysteriösen Geschichte. Nette kleine Rätsel und mehr als genug Wimmelbilder. Zum Schluss wartet auch ein spannendes Bonus-Kapitel auf uns. Kann ich echt empfehlen! Einziger Negativpunkt: Die deutsche Übersetzung. Aber man kann sich daran gewöhnen, ich kam gut durch!

Хороший квест, но с некоторыми техническими проблемами и я обязана вам об этом сообщить: в одной из сцен с поиском предметов не берется шапка (вот прям ни в какую) - я решила эту проблему чисто случайно и нажимала максимально по краям предмета, и тогда все получилось; также ломается с концами загадка с водопроводом, но в этом случае ни один гайд не поможет (я уже проверяла), а самый надежный способ это создать новый профиль и перепройти до этого момента. Не переживайте, если вы обладаете хоть какой-то да памятью, то с пропуском всех катсцен это займет минут 10. Больше я с подобным не сталкивалась.

Игра не вылетала и в остальном стабильно работала. Сюжетная линия неплохая (к тому же, это трилогия и как я понимаю продолжение следует, поэтому больше ответов ожидается там). Классический point&click с не особо сложными загадками и большим количеством поисков предметов, если играли в игры от Alawar, то сразу поймете, что и как. Саундтрек слабенький, плюс в некоторых сценах обрывается - возможно обусловлено тем, что игра старенькая, но терпимо.

Enigmatis The Ghosts of Maple Creek es un juego de Objetos Ocultos y Puzzles en el que ayudaremos a una detective a resolver un caso de desaparición en Maple Creek, un pequeño pueblo a las afueras de la ciudad que durante años ha sido foco de casos de desaparición y sucesos extraños sin resolver.

La historia es buenísima, te atrapa desde el primer instante, cada dialogo y cada pista nueva que encuentras no hace más que alimentar la curiosidad de saber lo que pasa en el lugar y las ganas de resolver el misterio que hay detrás.

Los puzzles son buenos, fáciles pero entretienen y los escenarios de objetos ocultos también son entretenidos, me agrada que no están saturados de cosas, hay una cantidad justa de objetos como para que te tome tiempo encontrarlos pero no tantos como para que sea un martirio.

Artísticamente es una belleza, no sé, me gusta el estilo de arte, los colores que maneja, la ambientación de los escenarios, esa atmósfera sombría y tenebrosa, es fascinante. Las animaciones son buenas también, las actuaciones de voz no están nada mal, la música ni me acuerdo si tenia la verdad solo recuerdo los efectos de sonido nocturnos del ambiente y si me parecieron convincentes, te mantienen en el juego.

Es muy buen juego, me ha parecido muy completo en todos los aspectos, si tuviera que recomendar un juego de Objetos Ocultos para alguien que nunca ha jugado uno sin duda este seria un buen candidato.

枫叶溪幽灵的试玩版，自2013年左右我第一次接触到，并且在Nokia智能手机上反反复复玩了两三次，每次中断的位置都是用闪光弹赶走野猪。因为没有支付手段，所以一直没能玩到这款游戏的后半部分。直到前不久，一个偶然的机会，雷雨天气，路过本地教堂时，突然想到了一句话……枫叶……幽灵？在steam上搜索后，果然发现了这个游戏的完全版。很高兴能在十多年后完成过去的愿望。相比较试玩版，试玩版的篇幅远小于主线及DLC中内容的10%，游玩时间约4小时，画面风格也是我非常喜欢的。故事情节很棒。强烈推荐（建议在打折期间购买1、2、3部曲）
为数不多的不足：[spoiler] 1、这个系列的游戏，从试玩版开始，就有着非常多的找东西游戏，如果没有耐心，建议小心避开，需要对照物品清单在手绘图形上寻找清单中的物品，这一大堆中只有一件是你真正会得到的；2、中文版收集物品清单的翻译有些问题，比如烟斗会被翻译成管子，邪教文物被翻译成圆锥体等等，会造成些困扰。3、DLC中有时候物品或者互动有延迟，或者是点对了但没有反应的情况，明明是正确组合，但是就是过不去，不得已点了跳过，可惜了我的成就 [/spoiler]

I normally would play this sort of game and have collectibles and morphs to find this one does not - but you have your evidence board where you would gather your clues together and piece them together just like a real detective use i used the map a lot but it would not transport you - hard work yes but you get invested into the game you still had to know how to get there arrows helped on the whole i approached everything carefully even the HOG games usually i click everywhere and hope for the best the graphics are good i enjoyed it

十几年前的解密类游戏，寻物解密小关卡是特色，但是寻物解密重复性关卡真的太多了……
游戏体量够大（指场景很多，但几个是作为过渡型没什么具体作用的场景），要移动是必须按路线一个个点击移动的，解谜物品又是东一个西一个，这个在后期真的挺烦的……要各种时不时打开地图看位置方向移动
诟病的翻译问题，寻物解密的翻译总有那么几个看不懂的物品名称对应，为什么“管子”的对应物品会是“烟斗” (ˉ_ˉ；)...

这大概是我玩过的那么多找物类冒险解谜中最恶心的一部，典型的眼高手低的作品，虽然侦探元素的加入让本作有了一定的独特性，但是其他玩法上毫无创新，而且游戏流程设计一团糟，小毛病很多，比如引导做的比较差，经常给你很久之后才用的到的物件，让你完全不知道该去做什么，最后转一圈才知道：原来该去翻垃圾堆找物啦，然后很多场景看着挺多东西，结果只有那么寥寥一两个物件可以调查，别的都是摆设，甚至还有很多完全没有互动的凑数场景，意义是啥？
找物环节是我玩的最难受的一作，不仅贴图模糊难以辨认，配上屎一样的汉化让你根本不知道要找啥，比如他能把“饭盒”翻译成“食堂”，你在搞笑吗？很多要找的物件你费尽心思翻来找去，最后发现原来只是一个墙上的模糊符号，找物环节应该是调剂游戏节奏用的，你拿来恶心人大可不必。而且这个找物桥段还经常一个接一个重复来，中后期走几步一个找物，实在是耗尽了我的耐心，而我最喜欢的解密小游戏在本作虽然有几个素质不错的谜题，但是数量太少了，你多做几个解密少做几个找物我玩的会开心很多。再有一点，本作在场景比较繁多的情况下，地图完全不能一键穿越到想去的地点，必须一步一步返回，这么拖时间有什么必要吗？最后就是剧情，女主最后就非得做圣母让犯人逃跑是吧？你放走他一个以后可能又会死无数人，最他妈恶心的就是这种主角。综上，品质低劣的作品，不建议在这种货色上浪费时间和金钱。

Probably one of the better HOGs out there. The art is great, the story is less stupid than most HOGs, and the puzzles are pretty good and sometimes quite novel. The interface is solid and includes a map that tells you what scenes have active tasks, and although you can't quick-travel, the game will immediately take you to the correct places in the woods instead of making you play the maze over and over again. The journal is a lot more dynamic than most HOGs, and I like the evidence wall feature. Overall, a good game. I don't know why my playtime is so high -- seems like I played through most of the game ages ago but never finished it for some reason. Anyway, this time I got through the entire game and the bonus chapter in six hours.

I've always been an admirer of the kind of meticulously illustrated subject-dense art typical of hidden object books and games, especially the style prevalent in the eighties and nineties represented by artists such as James C. Christensen and especially Mark Wilks, whose art was featured in the contemporary game Scrutineyes.

But I had never really played many *true* hidden object video games. I was a big devotee of Myst and Sierra-style adventures, but the limited (arguably inadvertent) hidden object mechanics in those games are usually a minor annoyance and don't earn them actual inclusion in the category.

So I decided to try (at a deep discount) some of the most well-reviewed examples of the genre.

Artifex Mundi is perhaps the most prominent publisher, and boy do they publish. Over seventy titles on steam (not their complete catalog, I think), which by all my research, all follow exactly the same formula and design principles with an astonishing uniformity.

To a certain extent, then, reviewing one is reviewing them all, minor differences notwithstanding.

As such, my general criticisms of their approach, and the genre as a whole, which can be found in my[url=https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198030806206/recommended/284850?snr=1_5_9__402] review of Grim Legends: The Forsaken Bride, [/url]apply to all of their games in varying degree, including this one. I won't repeat myself here.

[b] In comparison, Enigmatis has a slightly more interesting story (although I may just find the subject matter more engaging due to personal taste), less tedium, better voice acting, and marginally less atrocious animations. [/b]

There's no question this sort of mindless entertainment goes down smoothly enough to make mental diabetes a serious threat, and therefore I can't recommend it with a clear conscience, even though I will probably waste my life playing at least 10 more nearly identical games (I'm playing the sequel now). We all have our vices.

I will say this is likely one of the strongest series' made by Artifex Mundi, but I don't think that's saying much.

You could be reading an edifying work of world literature instead. Just saying.

Enigmatis: The Ghosts of Maple Creek was a standout from my childhood—eerie, atmospheric, and surprisingly gripping. The mix of hidden object puzzles and detective work kept me hooked, and the mystery had just enough twists to stay interesting. It’s not flashy, but it nails the creepy small-town vibe. A little rough around the edges by today’s standards, but it still holds up as a nostalgic, spooky adventure.

Ну что сказать, игра мне понравилась. Я проходил её три раза, и мне есть что рассказать.

Начну с минусов:

1 - Во время мини-игры "Найди предметы" трудновато найти некоторые предметы, так как минимум три из них сливаются с фоном. Но это просто требует внимательности. Также хочу предупредить: просто тыкать не получится. На некоторые предметы необходимо тыкать несколько раз, так как игре всё равно, что вы их нашли.

2 - Очень много ходьбы из одной точки карты в другую. (Можно было бы добавить мини-карту для быстрого перемещения.)

3 - Доска расследования. Если подумать, главная героиня-детектив каждый раз возвращалась в свой номер, где бы ни находилась. (Просто можно было бы сделать не доску, а папку или чемоданчик.)

4 - Последнее достижение. Просто мне не выдали последнее достижение, хотя я уже получил все остальные. (Последнее достижение можно получить после получения всех остальных, но мне его не выдали.)

Дальше идут одни плюсы:

1 - Сюжет. Пройдя следующие две части, я выстроил сюжетную линию, и в принципе мне понравилось. (Без спойлеров.)

2 - Головоломки. Тут как обычно: есть такие, над которыми нужно попотеть, и такие, которые решаются легко.

3 - Графика. В некоторых моментах (не буду указывать конкретно) она была не очень, но вся картина в целом выглядит очень даже хорошо.

Итоги:

1 - Стоит ли игра 550 рублей? Каждый пусть решает сам. (Лично я купил её по скидке.)
2 - Стоит ли проходить трилогию? Лично я считаю, что да. Есть одно НО: сильно вникать в первую часть не надо, лучше вникнуть во вторую и третью части. (Всё-таки разработчики старались.)
