A fantastic game. Probably one of the best tower defense games ever made.
Some notes though:
- The transitions in/out of music are a bit jarring. Might be better if there was a fade or something.
- The optional level quests can be kind of boring or tedious. (Put twenty of x tower doesn't really make you play the game in the most fun way.
- More gimmick levels would be fantastic. Maybe a halfway-done boss fight?
- There's a bit of Early-Access glitchie-ness. Sometimes it takes a bit too long for the "Round Complete" or Level Finished animations to start. If you're actively placing a tower when a cutscene is triggered, the red outline will remain during the cutscene.
Definitely worth the price. I'd imagine that this will end up as the Plants vs Zombies or Bloons Tower Defense of the 2020's. Genre-defining tower defense game.
Def worth the $12, whole game needs a little more (story) content, but the gameplay is great. Unlike most other trash TDs out there, this game actually allows you to maze, instead of just placing and upgrading towers.

就是目前感觉和rogue游戏一样，塔和遗物之间强度差距还是非常大的，可能好用的组合也不多。不过这个问题可以等后续平衡解决

Honestly an incredibly fun and well rounded tower game. I've been looking for something to scratch that TD itch since the WoW 3 custom game days, and I think this is actually an improvement on that.

ローグライクによるアイテム知識は求められますが、プレイしてるうちに感覚で分かるようになってきます。
逆にこれが良いランダム性とTDにありがちな作業になりやすい事を防いでくれています。

テトリス要素は盤面の導線を作るうえでの障害物ブロックです。
これらブロックを駆使して盤面を作りその上にタワーを建築していきます。
各フェース毎にランダムで数種類のブロックをカードとしてデッキから入手します。
これはランダム要素が強いですが、デッキ中のブロックカード種類がそもそも限られており、マップのステージ毎でそのデッキを改造できるので丁度良いバランスに仕上がっています。

周りのTDと比較すると正直なスタイルです。
他TDゲームをしているならなんら不満は無いと思います。

このゲームはマップINをローグライクの1ランとします。
その中で複数ステージがあり、それら全てを踏破してボスに挑み、撃破で1ランクリアと言う次第です。
基本的にローグライクはゲームオーバーで振り出しですが、Emberwardはプレイヤーを全ランにおいて少しバフする永続バフの用意があります。
分かりやすく言えばインクリメンタル要素ですが、周りのインクリメンタルゲームに比べ指数関数的に強くなるものではありません。
あくまで単調強化なので味付け程度でプレイヤーの快適性を上げる事で他要素をいい意味で活かしてきます。
また、リセット機能やあえて[b]強化しない[/b]選択肢も取れるため縛りプレイを所望するプレイヤーにも嬉しい点があります。

要素が多いゲームですが、全体的に素晴らしくバランスが取れているTDです。
サクッと毎日1時間程度、何時間もぶっ通しでプレイ、忘れた頃にスキマ時間の埋め合わせに使うなど、ゲーム要素に少しでも好きな物があれば後悔する事は無い良いゲームだと思います。
All in all, a very fun game. Not played very much tower defens before, but it is very easy to get to grips with. Have been some good updates lately and hope for more maps in the future.

This is a great new Tower Defense game with a nice twist. You get to alter the path of the enemy. My son recommended it to me, but I reminded him these graphics are on the low end, I much prefer a good shiny space ship to a clunky looking cartoon cannon. But I downloaded the Demo and gave it a go. Now I'm hooked. Though I still think the graphics appear to have been modeled after Fisher Price toys, the game play and the unique feature of embedding support for the towers right into the walls they sit on made up all the difference. The different damage and turret types encourage seeking a synergistic balance.
Give the demo a try, you won't be sorry.

Fun game, but i wish the upgrades weren't so boring. Other TD games have unique visuals, but in this one, the upgrades are mostly redundant and heavily down prioritized.

Different characters which each change the way the game is played. Roguelike elements which make every "playthrough" different. Many Different towers. Good map varriety with different environmental elements. Boss battles. Endless modes. Good enemy variety.

Difficult and RNG based, but a lot of fun. Might just be one of the best tower defense games there is in the style of the old Warcraft III ones.
I love this game, but here is why I gave it a bad review,
Its way to short. if you want to play a leaderboard game you can to help make it longer, but even that clears so the leaderboard is absolutely useless.
The rounds are short also, there could be so many modes in this game. Id love to change my review I peak back on the game now and then but still no real fixes. too bad> Not sure if ill be back.

My favorite tower defense game so far, i had to stop playing because I see my dreams in puzzles now. If it keep updating ill probably be playing this game for a long time.

游戏是好玩的，可是第四章图我都玩不明白，给玩家上强度，经济卡的太死，场地机制开启条件过于昂贵且收益极其低下。
何も考えず、ブロックを回して迷路を作って、防御タワーを設置するだけの簡単なゲームです。
難しい、つまらない。という人がいたら逆に珍しい。
全難易度、5ステージ（カオスバトル含む）でインフェルノシャード24、クリアできました（トータル約200時間プレイ）
ここまで来たら最初にやってた頃が赤ん坊レベル。
攻略詰まったら、
1.能力を全て覚える
2.タワーはなんでもいいので属性付きのを選ぶ
3.範囲攻撃と単体攻撃のタワーがあるので適切に選ぶ
4.タワーは可能な限り効果付きブロックの上に置いて強化する
5.キャラは魔術師ターナが一番やりやすい
6.ゲームオーバーなりそうな時はメニュー開いて中断して、そのステージの最初からやり直す
7.炎は初期の炎以外であれば、なんでも良い

Just a genuine delight of a game, and the recently added controller support makes playing on my ROG Ally a much better experience than mouse emulation.

one of the best tower defense games i ever played after kingdom rush!
吐槽一下无尽模式，目前这游戏人没那么多，只要我想基本可以霸榜每周和每日的无尽模式，所以提一下建议
1.这款游戏非常耐玩，但是每周的无尽能不能不要作者教我玩游戏，比如设定好的塔和降低射程和射速debuff，纯恶心人，（运气不好又随到了冰冻火焰或者腐化的地图那就更恶心了）不太可能打过30关，你设置debuff还不如直接无尽给储蓄罐的buff，可以更好运营打更多的关卡。
2.就是无尽模式和普通模式的数值我觉得应该要重新制作，比如燃烧debuff，30层以后怪物的血量对比燃烧的100血，还有各种神器的伤害触发造成的伤害就很蠢。我记得极限大概就只能到达35层左右，反正不存在过40层。你想要刷高层，就必须要有链球，黑洞之类的组合，靠着限制怪物移动，将怪物卡入预设好的格子进行输出，且一关需要非常久的时间磨过去（在之前新出的模式里，就开加速的格子+加速附魔刷了个几十万分，最后选择拆了塔结束游戏）如果不提升数值就应该增加经济，怪物血量是指数上升，我们的伤害是普通模式的伤害+固定的每回合金币收入。
3.无尽模式的职业也非常不平衡，反正只玩魔法师，其他的除了那个格子带属性的，基本都是下水道，冲击不了高层。
既然是带点肉鸽性质，又是塔防，我感觉可以做的让玩家爽一点，无尽模式很多时候很坐牢。

Beste spiel ohne scheiß. 15 euro hierfür oder für brawlstsrs battlepass.... einfachste Entscheidung meines Lebens. Wird nie lw und man merkt das es mit liebe gemacht ist. Ganz anders als 90% der Spiele sonst...
两年之后拿出来再玩一下，发现它有个巨大问题，不知道以前是不是这样的。
它波数很少。这对于TD是致命。6波，7波结束。。。。
举个例子，你精心规划个路线搭建积木，摆好炮塔。你别说没开始爽，你甚至没摆完，6波结束，下把，重新来吧。
或者这个游戏很适合喜欢做规划，不喜欢TD爽感的TD玩家吧。
而且它机制很多。本来是优点。需要考虑的东西增加，但加上它波数很少，反而变成缺点。
One of the best tower defence games I have ever played, right up there with Bloons.
Emberward take 3 genres that should not work together (Tower defence, rougue-like and deck builder) and beautifully combines them into a fun, colorful and challenging game that encourages replays and experimentation. Its crazy addictive and worth every bit of your time.

This is the Hollow Knight of tower defense games. That is to say, there's nothing really original about it beyond the primary gimmick, but it's done very, very well.
The mechanic of using blocks to build your maze isn't too complicated but mixes things up just enough. There's lots of little quality-of-life details that I appreciate too, like being able to reset and re-learn the talent grid with a click (this is necessary for some challenges).
About the only real complaint I have is that the music is kinda... nothing. Really generic and repetitive, I wouldn't blame anyone for turning off the music and putting on their own tunes. Oh, and some builds are much stronger out of the box than others - lightning damage is king. But that's it really. The game scratches a very particular itch for me that many TD games fail to do these days, so I'll be coming back to this game for a long while.

cute yet annoying in some parts.
Stage 1-2 are very good and fun but Stage 3-4 is abysmall ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and feel like they where handles by a completly diffrent Team.
the Team for stage 1-2 where like, okay, what unique mechanics can we add that add to the gameplay in fun ways while give some challange.
While the Team for 3-4 where like, "Okay, how can we make the experiences as annoying and unfun as possible, while we add mechanics that go completly against the fundamentle Idea of our game and against the Idea of the Tower Defens genre itselfe. Lets add even more corruption! Lets add even more obstacles that make it impossible to build a good path and lets also block the player from building paths at all!"
Why isnt there a custom Endless mode?
The only one we have are those ♥♥♥♥♥♥ predefined ones or Random ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ go brrr endless mode with by far the most unfun game mechanics stacked ontop of another. Why cant I simply chose my map to play on and be done with it? Why do I need to pull a slot machine if I get an enjoyable and playable map and Debuff or not? Why is there the Debuff that blocks freeze after some time like.... Why is this machic in there AT ALL? You are aware that you made a Tower Defense game with towers that sometimes take 3x3 block space, that maybe require multiple turns to set up, just for the blocks to freeze and become useless?
The problem with this game is, that you could remove Half of the mechanics they added in the later stages and the game would become infinitly better... Tower Balancing is non existend, like... some Towers are just fundamentally ALOT better then others, while some are practically useless and a waste of space.

one of the best Towerdefence Games i ever played
Very strategic, can be hard and easy, W GAME
There are some fundamental issues with the game design that makes it go stale very quickly. Its by no means a bad game. good for maybe 20 hours of fun, but ultimately unsatisfying.
where other similar rogelikes let you build on top of erlier desitions, making for deep builds that distinguish deep runs from one another, every single round in this game feel very similar. (every stage and every run). The different characters do make for some distinction in playstyle - but thats a start bonus, so it runs on one character are still undistinguishable. Since you have to build every map from one turret to a full board, then reset - each game feels very similar. The towers you pick as you progress in a run dont do enough to change what you can do on later maps. The relics are fundamentally uninteresting, and do very little to change how you play. relics and turrets dont interact in any significant way.
I dont think there is desingspace to fix theese issues. I hope the devs prove me wrong.
