Un gran juego, es bastante difícil que te quedes atascado, el juego es muy intuitivo, tienes pistas, pero yo al menos no he necesitado usarlas, y además no es un juego en el que se pierda interés a medida que juegas.

Tiene unos puzles bastante sencillos, a veces pueden resultar repetitivos, pero no llegan a ser tediosos porque son en pocas ocasiones, simplemente buscan el ingenio y la habilidad.

Personalmente me ha gustado la historia mucho y el trasfondo.

I want to start by saying holy moly. This game made me fire on all cylinders. I got a good feeling from start to finish. The game gives a familiar feeling from the classic Point & Click games I grew up with. Graphics and dialogues get 10 wundershakes out of 10 possible. There were some moments I didn't know how to solve a situation. Otherwise, it was pure joy throughout the game. I hope Motivite releases more games in the future. I can definitely recommend this game.

Elroy and the Aliens is a fun and lengthy point & click adventure game with some simple puzzles and pleasantly cartoony art. Overall, I found it to be rather enjoyable. It can feel slightly tedious at times with many dialogue prompts, but those add depth to the characters and story. Also, a couple of objectives felt like they unnecessarily slowed down the story (like the theater rehearsal really could’ve been trimmed down or made optional in my opinion). And you've gotta be patient for the alien encounters; don't expect to interact with any of them for the first half of the 10+ hour game, but once you do it gets even more fun.

I began the game with the impression from the theme and script that it would be family friendly, reminiscent of a number of children's movies. However, I don't recommend it for young kids due to some surprising foul language. It's more suitable for teens and up, but if parents are thinking about playing this with their kids, or if you're sensitive to that kind of thing, just take that into consideration.

The game conveniently allows you to quickly save and load as many game states as you could want. Making multiple saved states is very helpful for replaying certain parts, especially for achievement hunting, but it just takes a little extra forethought to anticipate when you might want to use it. For a long game with many chapters, it might have benefited from a chapter select feature in the menu - oh well. Also, for some reason the store page says the game takes 9GB of storage, but I was happy to find it only takes up 2.3GB storage on my laptop.

A cutesy point & click adventure with a nostalgic Saturday morning cartoon vibe, lovable characters and an underlying mystery that keeps players guessing and going.

Very accessible, this game ebbs maybe a little too much on the easy side and won't challenge much seasoned enjoyers of the genre.
On the flip side, it makes a good pick for a family-friendly game for parents to enjoy with their kids.

Dit spel ziet eruit als een tekenfilm zoals je die eerder altijd zag, het is mooi dat
spellen tegenwoordig in allerlei stylen komen en sommige zoals deze nog origineler
er uit zien dan anderen die proberen in de retro hoek te zitten.
Liever een spel zoals dit , dat een goede vibe overbrengt dan pixel hunting en
lage kwaliteit resolutie.....Van mij mogen er wel meer point & click avonturen spellen
zoals deze komen met misschien nog meer hoge grafische kwaliteit die lijken op

A lovely adventure game with great cartoon graphics, good voices, music, story and puzzles. The story is fun and interesting, the puzzles are quite straightforward and logical, but mostly entertaining, just not too challenging. The only small complaint I have is that relatively few items are interactive, so you can click only a few things on each screen...would have been nice to be able to interact with more objects at least to examine them if nothing else. The story is long enough, the characters are very likeable and I was looking forward to continue the game every weekend...for a cute and funny game there are surprisingly serious events happening that kinda surprised me at first [spoiler]for example when you had to blow up a very friendly robot, who seemed self-aware, so it felt like murdering the poor guy...[/spoiler]...
Oh and the initial problem/conflict in the story is fairly similar from Willy Morgan and the Curse of Bone Town - trying to find your dad after he's gone missing many moons ago when you were a kid and you find a message from him...but this was not an issue as the story felt good enough for a typical 90s sci-fi, so it was a good time travel. :) I'd be curious to see if the game is interesting for younglings of today or it's more the nostalgy that made it so much fun for me. :)

Das Spiel ist leider zu einfach und meines Erachtens auch zu kurz hinsichtlich Story und Spielzeit. Auch für die damalige Zeit.
Es ist gut gemach aber irgendwie auch ziemlich belanglos und die Rätsel sind ohne wirkliches Nachdenken sondern eher eine Klickabfolge.
Als Point § Click zu öde, habe es allerdings dennoch durchgespielt.

Elroy and the Aliens does a lot of things right. It has many diverse locations, excellent voice-over throughout, and a quirky story. Unfortunately, it fell a bit flat on the puzzle front.

Each new area follows the same basic principle: There is an overarching goal, and to achieve that, you have to follow a number of logical (and very linear) steps. The most efficient way of "solving" these areas is to explore every location, speak to every NPC, and collect all the things. At the end, you'll know everything you need to do, and when you actually follow the required steps, you've already solved the puzzle.
Maybe because the developers realized that this was a bit boring, they threw in a bunch of minigames that you have to solve along the way. I don't mind a minigame here or there in an adventure game, especially when they are well-integrated and make sense in context. But with one exception, that wasn't the case here. In one area, you have to solve the same minigame five times in a row, followed up by another minigame, also multiple times in a row. And then they even reused one of them in a different area. That's just padding the game time, in my opinion.

Having said all that, it is not a bad game, either. Figuring out a new area was genuinely fun, and as I already said, they have a bunch of different areas, with lots of unique locations. It just was too linear and easy for my taste.

If you are more interested in the story than puzzle-solving, and don't mind minigames, this might be the perfect game for you.

The plot is interesting enough and the characters are adorable. Puzzles are simple.

Not the greatest masterpice of all adventure games - but rock solid i guess.

If you are a fan of the point and click era games you will like this. Having said that, the puzzles are too easy and not as clever as the 90's era games like DOTT.
They have various 'align the thing in the correct sequence' style puzzles which I think only exists to prevent you from completing the game too quickly.
The writing is also a bit lacking at times. There are things the characters say that they couldnt have known purely from their perspective. The art is A+. The game is worth your time.

Elroy and the Aliens is a truly delightful and wholesome adventure game that excels in pretty much everything it sets out to do, delivering classic adventure vibes while distancing itself completely from trivial clichés and derivative nods to games of the past (and three-headed-monkeys).

Elroy and the Aliens has it all:
1) Whimsical and cartoonish graphics that appeals to both young and older audiences, with tons of delightful animations.
2) Likeable, genuine and personable characters you care about from the very first interaction.
3) Surprisingly deep storytelling, exploring topics hitting home for many of us, such as family relations, the weight and consequences of missed opportunities and the main question: how far would you go in space and time to reunite with those you have lost?
4) A fantastic cast of voice actors
5) A great variety of themes, blending passion for the 90s, languages, archaeology, science and SCI-FI in one satisfying package that never feels random
6) Most importantly a true sense of adventure, in your globetrotting through space and time, across a HUGE number of unique locations and a non-linear structure where you are free to explore several areas of a larger environment.

In my opinion, the only area for improvement is the puzzle design. While the inventory and linguistic puzzles are straightforward, well-thought-out and executed, they may prove a bit too easy for the seasoned adventurer. However, sometimes you just want to have a jolly time without burning through your neurons on impossible puzzles and here, too, Elroy and the Aliens delivers.

I surely didn't expect such a well-rounded adventure when I laid my hands on it. Great job to the almost-solo team!

Splendid.

This Point n' Click isn't only good technically, it's also amusing, engaging, well-written and excellently told.

I was hooked right from the intro (check out the demo if it's still around) and it only gets better from there.
The characters and everything they say is interesting, the worldbuilding is tight, the story brings several surprises, I've got only good things to say about all aspects of the art.

Environmental puzzles make sense; perfect integration, no Moon logic detected.
There are also standalone puzzles, based on classic, enjoyable mechanics.
Difficulty is low.

The interface allows for both mouse and gamepad input.
The latter is ideal for moving around as well as for dialogues.
For inventory manipulation though, it doesn't take advantage of specialised buttons, it relies on unnecessary extra presses that can confuse and induce mistakes, so I often used the good old mouse instead (as well as in puzzles.)
That's the one feature Motiviti might want to streamline in their next game (I'm looking forward to the studio's future projects.)

Because hot spots appear when the avatar comes near, there is no need for a Hot Spots key whatsoever (and yet one is available, seen disabled in the Options.)
Legibility is good by default and, worth mentioning these days, there is no typewriter effect, you can actually read sanely, pleasurably.
What else ? Unlimited save slots, various accessibility options, a Skip command for cutscenes (capricious: works on some but inexplicably not all of them...) the UI is superior.

This game oozes quality, intelligence, and conscientiousness of the team who made it.

For once, the female lead is not intended to be a love interest and there are no creepy innuendo jokes. She is an academic and she is the hero!

The level of detail in scenes makes the whole world feel alive, even though story-driven games are linear. The illustration style is gorgeous. There are Easter eggs to find. The voice acting is fantastic. The puzzles makes sense and aren't designed to be deliberately complicated and frustrating to make you feel stupid.

If I could give this 11/10, I would.

A fun point and click adventure game. It has a fun story and likable characters.

The graphics are great. It has a nice smooth hand drawn feel.

The voice acting is well done.

The puzzles are relatively easily, in my opinion, but still require some thought.

Hopefully the studio can continue to explore their universe, or at least continue to make similar games in the future.

Auf jeden Fall eines der besten Point and Click Adventures seit der Golden Era.
- Fantastischer handgezeichneter Artstyle und Animation (Erinnert an Full Throttle)
- Super Voice-Acting
- guter Humor, der aus einem LucasArts Adventure von damals sein könnte
- viele Easter Eggs und Love Letter an die alten Adventures
- Soundtrack ist stimmig (vor allem die 2 Songs am Schluss)
- Story packt und wurde super durchdacht (die Plotholes sind hoffentlich wegen einem 2. Teil vorhanden)

das einzig "Negative" was man anmerken kann, ist der Schwierigkeitsgrad - bis auf die letzten Kapitel ist es fast zu einfach - was es allerdings zu einem perfekten Einstiegstitel in das Point and Click Genre für neue Spieler macht.

Wenn ihr also jemanden kennt, der noch nie Point and Click gespielt hat, oder evtl allgemein neu is in der Welt des Zockens, habt ihr mit dem Game als Geschenk nichts falsch gemacht.

Great game in similar style to the old LucasArts Adventures. Good story, not too short but not too long. Most of the puzzles are not difficult but I enjoyed that because it made for a nice casual playthrough. Voice acting was all very well done. Highly recommend giving this a play through.

The puzzles in this game can be challenging but managable, and the game itself reminds me a bit of Torin's Passage from the 90s. The story and music in the game is really amazing, with some songs being stuck in my head (especially the ending, which gives you a chance to get other endings, at the cost of watching the same cutscene/ending song 3 times but thats not really a complaint.) Overall very happy with this game, and kind of excited for maybe a second one?

Nettes Spiel mir Witz, der allerdings ab dem ersten Drittel nachlässt, alternativ war's meine zunehmende Grippe, die Humor und Hirnfähigkeit etwas reduziert hat. Alle Rätsel sind lösbar - das "Sprachlernrätsel" hat mich wie auch andere aber deutlich genervt, aber auch hier mag die Grippe eine Rolle gespielt haben. Im Nachhinein wars aber selbstverständlich eigentlich durchaus leicht lösbar.

Elroy and the Aliens ist für mich echt so ein richtig schönes Point-&-Click-Adventure mit Herz. ❤️
Die Musik ist super angenehm, die Rätsel machen Spaß (ohne dass man direkt verzweifelt), die Charaktere sind sympathisch und das ganze Spiel ist einfach richtig schön gemalt. Vom Stil her hat’s mich stellenweise sogar ein bisschen an Monkey Island 3 – The Curse of Monkey Island erinnert – und das ist für mich ein riesen Plus.

Was ich auch mega finde: Man kann das Spiel intuitiv spielen, ohne direkt auf eine Komplettlösung angewiesen zu sein. Klar, man muss manchmal ordentlich suchen – aber genau das gehört ja dazu. Von dem missglückten Raketenstart bis hin zu den Aliens: das war einfach eine richtig gute Reise.

Ich hatte auch ein paar Momente, wo ich manche Sachen nur halb verstanden hab 😅 – aber am Ende hab ich alles hinbekommen. Gerade bei den Zahlenrätseln und den kleinen Easter Eggs hatte ich ständig dieses „hehe“-Gefühl… ich sag nur: Minesweeper lässt grüßen. 😄

Einziger Wunsch: Eine deutsche Sprachausgabe wär noch das i-Tüpfelchen gewesen. Aber hey – man kann nicht alles haben.

Unterm Strich: Endlich mal wieder ein Spiel, das ich wirklich gern spiele. Ich kann’s richtig gut weiterempfehlen. 👍

Elroy and the Aliens is one of my top games of the year.

To keep this very brief, I played this game as a Demo in steam next fest of January 2025 and ranked it an A. Now, almost a year later finishing the full game, I can say I was wrong then. This is an S tier game. The writing of all of the characters interactions, the plot, fun little homages to 90s\80s icons, is fantastic. I will not spoil anything, but the emotional complexity of how characters act is really solid, and not just tied in a nice little bow, theres depth there. The art is amazing, and makes you happy. The colors, character facial reactions, and overall "sets" are amazing. One final thing I wasnt anticipating was the music being as great as it was. There were some absolute bangers in here that hit you, HARD.

I loved Elroy and the Alien, with only minor issues on two of the three endings, but overall, a perfect game. This is a steal at $10, and a fair price at $20. Do yourself a favor and give this game a shot, itll take you on a ride you didnt anticipate, but boy youll be glad that you did.

Puzzles & gameplay:

- Solutions that are too obvious
- Very little challenge

Too often it feels like:
More an interactive cartoon than a challenging game. Where you just go to and click on obvious things to trigger animations.

Interaction & items:
- The game world contains:
- Too few useful objects
- Not enough items to pick up and combine

- When you do combine items:
- The solutions are obvious
- They require almost no thinking

- The logical "mini games" (like combining symbols and guiding laser beams) adds a little bit of difficulty, which is good, but feels too much like pure simple IQ tests and like an after thought to increase the difficulty without having to change the puzzles, which are too easy.

NPCs & guidance:
- Other characters:
- Great characters, good conversation.
- Constantly nudges you way too much in the right direction
- Too much decreases the need to think for yourself

Conclusion:
The game is technically, visually and story-wise strong. But the gameplay is oversimplified. It needs to be harder, have more items, more challenges coming from puzzles throughout the entire game instead of from mini IQ test-type games inserted at key points.

I'd recommend this game to children, but not to the others and especially not to those who like a good challenging point and click adventure, which makes me feel almost unfair because of how great the graphics and story etc is, but the lack of challenge made me go "yea yea"..."come ooon" too many times while just clicking through obvious parts of the game. With this foundation though, Motoviti should be able to fix the puzzle part and take the next step to make a true top notch point and click adventure game in the future.

Cooles Adventure, auch wenn das Ende bissl lame war, ich hab aber auch bisher nur die offensichtliche End-Entscheidung gespielt. Aber qualitativ super game. Jetzt noch deutsche Synchro drauf und alles wär fein. Ich hätte auf jeden Fall gern ne Fortsetzung. Weil wie es da bei den Aliens weiter geht, würd mich schon interessieren. Glaube die einzigen 2 Minuspunkt sind halt der Main-Charakter, weil wir so einen schonmal hatten. Er erinnert halt doch sehr sehr stark an Rufus, Elroy ist nur nicht ganz so schusselig. Und die Länge der einzelnen Abschnitte könnte man noch ein wenig ausbauen und etwas tiefer gestalten. Aber: Alles in Allem solides Point n Click Adventure

[h1][b]A Charming Throwback to Classic LucasArts Adventures[/b][/h1]

Wonderful game that you can clearly see is a nostalgia-fueled passion project by a small team. Strongly reminds me of the best of 90s LucasArts adventures, particularly [i]Day of the Tentacle[/i] and [i]Grim Fandango[/i].

Everything in the game is hand-drawn in a lovely cartoony style. The music is good and fits the atmosphere well. The voice acting is excellent and conveys the humor fittingly. A simple storyline with several likeable characters develops logically and doesn't suffer from pacing issues.

The puzzles are easy, with very occasional somewhat harder challenges. The game is meant to progress leisurely and not stump the player into replaying and revisiting every location 15 times.

A little gem that I can truly recommend.

Непоганий класичний квест (point&click adventure), цікавий інтригуючий сюжет, колоритні персонажі (мій улюблений - робот-актор), приємний візуальний стиль.

Щодо самого геймплею, то це максимально класичний квест, надзвичайно легкий, не було жодного моменту затупу, або коли незрозуміло що робити; все вирішується максимально просто (в більшості випадків, персонажі самі прямим текстом озвучують, що треба робити), але з великою кількістю різноманітних пазлів (від "сапера" до загадки з зеркалами)

Сюжет на початку дуже інтригує, цікаво розгортається, але фінал на мій погляд, вийшов трішки сумбурним і дуже передбачуваним, також деякі деталі сюжету, можна було б представити трішки розгорнутіше ( [spoiler] особливо це стосується Зорі - дружини головного антагоніста, про неї майже нічого невідомо [/spoiler].

В цілому, враховуючи те, що жанр класичних квестів переживає не найкращі часи і нові представники цього, на жаль, майже забутого жанру, виходять вкрай рідко, то Elroy and the Aliens доволі непоганий його представник. Я б з задоволенням пограв би в сиквел, або наступний квест студії Motivity. Бажаю їм повторити успіх їх колег з Daedalic Entertainment та їх хітом Deponia.

P.S. Шкода, що немає української локалізації, але в грі доволі неважка англійська мова, і 90% всього тексту було зрозуміло.

A játék tökéletes példája annak, hogy egy hagyományos kalandjátéknak nem kell innovatívnak vagy modernnek lennie, hogy működjön; elég ha szerető kezek értően rakják össze. A kézzel rajzolt grafika csoda szép, a történet érdekes és izgalmas, a fejtörők nem lógnak ki a koncepcióból és pont egészséges nehézségűek, a humor és a dráma tökéletes szimbiózisban lélegzik benne. Talán a párbeszédrendszer lehetett volna kicsit innovatívabb, legalább annyiban, hogy a fölös köröket nem ismételgetik újra meg újra a szereplők. De ez legyen a legnagyobb baj egy ilyen játékban! Ráadásul ott van a Crimson Sky című dal, ami egy igazi ékkő, már az előzetesben is nagyon tetszett a belőle hallható részlet. Remélem, a következő Motiviti-játékra nem kell 10 évet várni!

Endlich mal wieder ein Game, welches ich super als Point&Click Einstieg für Kinder empfehlen kann (da es auch keinen anzüglichen Humor gibt und auch keine politischen Themen, was ich mal sehr schön finde). Die Rätsel sind nicht schwer und alles ist logisch rausfindbar, Die Protagonisten müssen nicht ewig hin und her laufen. Auch den 2D-Zeichenstil finde ich klasse und finde ihn für Point&Clicks immer noch am angenehmsten. Ein absolut rundum gelungenes Game, welches leicht und kurzweilig ist und durch viele unterschiedliche Schauplätze führt.

Overall a very well polished game with solid voice acting and a pretty engaging story. Unfortunately, I found the character art really unappealing, with some very strange and amateurish design choices throughout — especially the aliens who were all super under-developed, as if the designer doodled them in a few seconds and then they just went with that. Despite the artwork I still enjoyed the game for the most part and it was fun and engaging enough to play the whole way through.

Love this adventure game. Simply great combination of humor, puzzles, gorgeous drawn graphics and nice music too. If you played some classical point-and-click adventures like The Monkey Island or The Dig you can get some idea of what fun you can expect. Works fine on Steam Deck and yeah it even has native GNU/Linux support. The only thing I don't like about Elroy and the Aliens is that it was too short :)

I was a third of a way thru when controller support was added and found it more relaxing then having to use a keyboard and mouse.

Overall, the story is good even if it is basically an interactive Dreamworks film. I really enjoyed the art direction and voice acting. Peggie was the best.

Looking forward to seeing what they do next.

Overall very good and worth purchasing and playing if you are capable of enjoying lighthearted, fun, point and click adventure games on the easy side. I agree with most of what other reviewers are saying, so I won't go on about those aspects.

What I would like to point out is that the game did feel legitimately too short to me. I'm not just saying short games are bad, I like a lot of short games. But as far as the actual adventure and story, there really wasn't much there given the short length of the game. What I mean is, they managed drag out each section of the story with a bunch of quests to stretch the game out longer. It wasn't a bad thing, I enjoyed those parts of the game, I'm not saying they shouldn't have stretched them out. What I'm saying is, if they are so good at stretching a little story out a lot, they could have easily made the game a lot longer just by having a little more to the story and adventure. By the time you are close to the end it feels like, wait it's already almost over, not much even happened? Additionally, I don't see other reviewers mentioning the endings.

The endings are by far the worst part of the game. This is made worse by the fact that it was already dissatisfying how quickly you were getting close to the end. The way your behavior affects the endings is completely inconsistent with one of the main themes of the story. One of the endings also reveals something about the how the universe works, and then one of the other endings contradicts that understanding. And the understanding was just a cheap explanation to allow one of the endings to be a bit more dramatic. The understanding itself wasn't good for the story, it was stupid. They really could have done the endings much better than this. Perhaps they should have given you less straightforward choices where it is unclear which one is what you are "supposed" to do, and then maybe only had 2 endings.
