Game is decent, but rough around the edges. Priced accordingly when on sale.

The hint system is a crutch to make up for where the game falls short in teaching mechanics, guiding the player, and having consistent, logical puzzle elements. It helps avoid leaving you frustrated and I quickly learned to use it after a solution to the level seemed no where to be found.

To a degree this felt like a mix of a puzzle game and a point and click adventure, where at times you weren't reasonably expected to solve a puzzle with logic and built up knowledge as much as you were expected to notice a handful of pixels.

С одной стороны это 30 рублей. Весьма неплохое начало и середина игры. Но с другой стороны, не всегда очевидные головоломки. И последние 25 лвл. слишком таймингозависимые головоломки. А если начать решать головоломку? например 73 не так как задумано, то можно и сжечь ж*пy, ещё и дракончик этот чертов...короче. Последние 30 уровней успели выбесить. Хотя любителям головоломк, думаю эта игра может и понравится целиком, хотя скорее всего им будет слишком легко.
Ладно. За 30 рублей это терпимо.

Al inicio podrías creer que las mecánicas son limitadas y básicas, pero simplemente no necesita más.

La belleza de este título definitivamente radica en su simplicidad, sin dejar de lado un hermoso apartado visual con una historia que te atrapa, además nos desafía constantemente con puzzles bien logrados, muchos enemigos y algunos secretos.

Recuerdo haber jugado a esto una vez en el móvil. Ahora, al verlo en Steam, decidí probarlo de nuevo... y es igual que como lo recordaba. El juego no tiene mucho, y honestamente no le hace falta: vas recorriendo diferentes niveles de una mazmorra gigantesca resolviendo puzles y tratando de que no te maten. As someone else said, Steam needs a in-between option, cause this is not a bad game. However, this being not recommended will increase visibility. Clearly the developer wanted to pay homage to older games that he is passionate about. And the art is really good. However the game has few shortfalls.

Firstly, it is a puzzle game only. No RPG mechanics at the slightest. There is minimum interaction with the puzzles and they are mainly solved by your movement. Some of those can be infuriating to figure out, but that is part of the course. My main issue with this, is that the controls are clunky af. Not that there is lag due to poor coding. But the character moves in a way that is not smooth. There is no continuous movement. You move once square and you stop. And when you die 10 times to an easy puzzle because you didn't press the button a millisecond earlier for the animation to complete, it can be frustrating.

Additionally the game is too long imo. 100 levels for movement based puzzles? Don't get me wrong, I truly appreciate the work, but there is not enough gameplay or story to keep you engaged for 3+ hours (the average on How long to Beat is 5 hours, hellooo?), and that is a shame.

If you like old type games and the above didn't make you reconsider, you are going to enjoy this. I do think if you find it interesting even a little, you should buy it. It's very cheap and can provide you with a couple of hours of simple gameplay here and there.

This is a short and sweet puzzle game which require both logic and timing. It's not terribly challenging for puzzle veterans although I did get stuck for a little while on a couple of levels, and I found some of the puzzles with tighter timescales a bit challenging and frustrating once I'd worked out the solution but couldn't get the timing just right. The game has some amusing in-game text and dialogue including a few references to older games. I played most of this in one evening and am sad to have run out of puzzles now; I'll be picking the sequel up once it's on sale!

Fun little puzzle game. It's not super difficult, each level has some sort of gimmick or mechanic to learn, and it's got a nice "tiny nudges toward spelling the solution out" hint system if you're not understanding the puzzle (or you are understanding it but you missed an input or something, which was why I used a hint at one point - I did the solution but it didn't work for some reason and then I scrubbed that idea because it didn't open the exit. Later, after trying a hundred other weird ideas, I gave in and hinted, and realized I had the answer on the first try, but there was no feedback that I was on the right track or that I had to reset the room. Anyway, if you're stuck, there are hints, and there is no punishment for using them.)

I just completed Dungeons of Dreadrock. It's a charming little game with just the right amount of difficulty. The puzzles are logically designed, and most can be solved with a bit of trial and error. I only had to use the hint system a handful of times. The character and environment graphics are well-drawn.

The game isn't perfect, though. The controls can be a bit cumbersome and wonky, and I encountered several bugs, although only one required me to restart a level. All in all, I highly recommend Dungeons of Dreadrock.

Bought the game on sale for around $1.00. It looked interesting enough for that price and I figured it would be an enjoyable game, and if not I was only out a dollar.

Honestly? The game was FANTASTIC.

Yes, it is a short game, overall, with a total of 100 puzzles, each one a new floor of the dungeon.
I thought the puzzles were clever, sometimes truly challenging (for me at least, a casual puzzle-game player), and sometimes rather funny.

I would definitely recommend it if you want a chill puzzle game that is still a bit challenging at times. Especially for the price! Honestly, a very underrated gem.

A game that could probably run on my old C64. Still it has amazing 100 levels of fascinating puzzles. Perfect to spend every day 15 - 20 minutes to solve a few of them. Also background story melds with the puzzles and gets more fascinating the more puzzles you solve. Recommended, even if not comparable to usual games. On PC, use keyboard, not mouse :-)

dungeons of dreadrock — прям идеал для тех, кто любит головоломки и приключения. мне зашла каждая мелочь: атмосфера подземелий, музыка, стиль, загадки — вообще всё на уровне. каждая комната как отдельная мини-история, где надо думать, пробовать, ошибаться и снова идти вперёд.
игра ощущается очень аккуратно сделанной: никаких лишних вещей, всё чётко, понятно и при этом реально интересно. puzzles крутые, иногда прям сидишь и думаешь, как же это решить, но когда получается — ощущение победы мощное.
короче, dungeons of dreadrock — супер. если нравится что-то умное, ламповое и атмосферное, то это то самое. прошёл с кайфом, вообще ни к чему не прикопаюсь.

A short puzzle game made by a small team, mainly commenced and led by the will of a professor. It actually felt good to complete this game on Steam. I played this game in 2023 on mobile. The developer of this game is also polite. He really cares about feedback and reviews.
You can complete this game in 2-3 hours. DOD contains a fantasy storyline within its world, which was already mentioned in the game details. A big sister was trying to rescue her little brother and started learning about Deadking's lore and the village ritual where they live. I enjoyed reading articles and texts in this game. Also, the game design is actually tunable. In-game background music also pleased me. I just didn't like (not hated) the idea of a little girl killing everyone.
Overall, everything is perfect. If you like puzzle or old-school type games, then try out this series.

Eu tava olhando a minha lista de jogos pra jogar, quando vi esse jogo que eu nem lembro porquê comprei. Olhando a duração curta dele, decidi dar uma chance sem dar muita bola. Começa o jogo e assim que eu jogo os primeiros níveis e vejo que o jogo é de tempo real, eu fico extremamente decepcionado, não só isso, mas a gameplay parece ser extremamente sem graça, uns puzzles super básicos e o combate nem pode se chamar de combate direito. Eu decidi continuar jogando pq já estava alí mesmo, mas achei q seria um jogo mediocre que comprei só por estar barato ou algo assim. Aí derrepente, eu tava passando por mais um nível, e a solução dele teve uma sacada genial, e a partir daí tudo mudou.

Existem vários jogos de "dungeon puzzle" nesse estilo, onde você anda um quadrado por vez, geralmente é de turno e o tempo só avança quando você anda, mas nem sempre. Um dos exemplos mais notórios desse estilo seria o Helltakers por exemplo. Esse jogo tem tudo que faz um bom jogo desse gênero, mas além de ter os bons fundamentos, ele brinca com o gênero e subverte algumas espectativas, além de ter algumas soluções genuinamente geniais. Nesse sentido esse jogo pode ser quase chamado de uma desconstrução do gênero de certa forma, principalmente devido aos dialogos bem humorados e que constantemente quebram a 4º parede.

O jogo não tem medo de fazer níveis fáceis se for para serem divertidos, subverter a expectativa do jogador ou até mesmo pela narrativa. Mas ele também não tem medo de colocar níveis difíceis e que exigem bastante estratégia e um certo grau de reflexo também. Sobre os puzzles em sí, eu achei eles bem variados, existem de todos os tipos de puzzle que você imaginar aqui, alguns que requerem lógica, memorização, reconhecimento de padrões, criatividade e alguns até mesmo reflexo e timing. E o jogo sabe bem dosar e alternar entre eles, de forma que você não enjoa do jogo. Eu joguei o jogo inteiro numa sentada só e ainda sim nunca me senti cansado ou exausto. Inclusive eu terminei o jogo querendo jogar mais. O que é algo raro pra mim, pois eu sempre termino um jogo de puzzle geralmente de saco cheio dele já (por mais que eu goste dele).

Outra características que eu gostei bastante do jogo, é a função de dica dele, se você está parado meia hora num puzzle e n faz a menor ideia de como passa dele, você pode simplismente pegar uma dica pra te dar um caminho. E mesmo se você não conseguir, você pode ir pegando dicas até resolver completamente. Eu acho esse método genial, pq ele te ajuda, mas sem te dar a resposta completamente, o que estragaria a graça de resolver o puzzle. Isso acaba te impedindo de ficar preso num puzzle, que pra ser sincero é oq mais me da preguiça de jogar jogos de puzzle.

Então, eu fico muito feliz que minhas primeiras impressões do jogo estavam erradas, e que ele é genuinamente um jogo muito bom. Um dos melhores do gênero com certeza. Recomendo para todo mundo que curte jogos de puzzle e principalmente jogos nesse estilo.

Normalerweise bin ich überhaupt nicht der Typ für diese Art von Genre ( ich wüsste nicht einmal wie man dieses Genre nennt) und wäre ohne Gronkh & Royalphunk wahrscheinlich auch nie darauf aufmerksam geworden. Ursprünglich hab ich es eigentlich nur gekauft um die Entwickler zu supporten.

Da ich mit dieser art von Games keinerlei Erfahrung oder Ahnung habe kann ich es auch nur rudimentär bewerten. Was ich aber sagen kann ist, dass ich entgegen meiner Erwartungen dann doch ziemlich viel Freude mit dem Spiel hatte. Der Artstyle ist unheimlich schön. Die Story an sich wirkte zunächst etwas seltsam auf mich, da es irgendwie nur wenig backroundinfos gab, warum weshalb wieso etc. . Aber ich glaube da stelle ich auch zu hohe Ansprüche, das hier soll und will ja kein 50h Storyteller sein.

Alles in allem bin ich positiv überrascht und auch wenn dieses Genre für mich wahrscheinlich auf Dauer nichts ist, hatte ich unfassbar Spaß beim knacken der Rätsel .

Ich kann jedem nur ans Herz legen dem Game mal ne Chance zu geben. Es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall.

A short but charming dungeon puzzle game, with many genuinely delightful moments. I first played this on iOS and, while this Steam version is clearly a rushed port, don't let that put you off playing it. The puzzles are quite creative and there are hints in case you get stuck. There's not a lot of story but what there is is lovely. I look forward to playing the sequel.

Good Game. Good kind of puzzle and dexterity game. Not too hard and you can ask for help from the game if you are stuck.
Played with controller. Took 5 hours. The second episode (another 5 hours) is the continuation of this one. Worth playing after this.

My only beef with it is the movement is a bit slow and pausing the game doesn't actually pause the game, characters still move and you can still die in the background. Otherwise a decent game to pick up for a couple bucks when on sale.

Made with love. I really enjoyed this one. The perfect game for someone who has recently become a parent - as it is low on time requirement needed to invest - but high on return in shape of fun and the feeling of achieving something. I love the many references especially the one to Guybrush :D

Very nice game, bought this for 1 Euro and seventeen Cents. Never spent less money for a non-free game.
This one is a really nice atmospheric puzzle game with a well presented little story. And blood. Played it for seven hours straight after Start :).

It is fun and you actually have to use your brain. This in times of fkn "social media" and "AI", I like that.

I recommend this 100 %.

Despite a bit of blood, it's a kids' game, not a typical mainstream one. I normally don't play games like this on PC, but I came across the first part in the Play Store by accident and played it on my phone. I ended up liking it. Then I found out there's a second part, so I bought a bundle with both games on Steam during a sale and played the second one on PC.

If the trailer or description doesn't impress you, I recommend doing what I did: try the first part for free on mobile.

P.S. Small caveat: the second part has more content, but its ending feels unfinished, like it's missing something, which makes it disappointing, IMHO. The first part doesn't really have this problem, or maybe a little bit

單純就是個益智解謎遊戲，美術方面還行，但題目太簡單玩起來相當無聊。

另外不知道是哪群人為這遊戲標上了「不可思議迷宮」的標籤，不可思議迷宮的精隨是玩家動敵人才會跟著動，這遊戲根本不符合這點。況且這遊戲純解謎根本和 RPG 的不可思議迷宮沾不上邊。

如果把這遊戲當作是一款手遊，他也稱不上是出色，更何況是作為一款 PC 遊戲。完全不推薦大家浪費時間在這遊戲上。

2026/02/26 更新：最近我又下載回來玩，我必須說，遊戲是真的很無聊。可能給 10 歲以下兒童玩剛剛好吧。

A very fun puzzle game!

The controls and mechanics are pretty simple, but on your way down, there is enough room to expand on them. The movement is grid-based but real-time, so timing is part of some levels.

Besides pure mechanics puzzles ("how does these elements interact?") there are also a few logic puzzles and inventory based ones.

The story is well paced over the whole game and doesn't interrupt game play.

Great puzzle game, even killing enemies are part of the puzzle on how to massacre them or use them to slaughter each other.
Also the funny thing that I managed to skip the puzzle and go straight to beating a minotaur in the Lucky Number stage which said SEVEN and I don't know what it means, so I just clap the dude from the back by constantly using the portal nearby, which in actually is used for the archer to shoot seven arrows beforehand so it keep looping then unleash the minotaur to instantly died in seven shots.
Most embarrassing way of brute-forcing from my side!

RECOMMENDED for puzzle enjoyers.
Because it's puzzles, who hate puzzles?
Gonna get the second one sometime later, the base pricing right now is kinda asking too much when it's double this price but same total of stages (aka 100).

このゲームをクリアしての感想は、序盤の方が慣れない為か難しい印象です。
ヒントもあるので、慣れれば思考とアクション次第では先に進めそうです。
アチーブメントのパーセンテージで、ヒントのバランスが良い感じがします。
最後の戦いの難易度は、その前の中ボスでヒントを見たことを少し後悔しました。
しかし、続編もあるらしいのでその程度の事はあまり気にする事でもないかな。
ちなみに私は、キーボードとゲームコントローラーの両方使ってプレイしました。

Довольно таки захватывающее приключение, которое дарит игра за плюс-минус 4 часа прохождения. Сюжет не сказать чтобы очень интересный, но дарит достаточно много всяких новых событий, из-за чего тебя тянет спускаться всё ниже и ниже. Геймплей не особо многообразный, но как я уже и сказал, реализовано много интересных особенностей (а с хождения с одного уровня на другой и обратно я вообще выпал, очень крутая фишка). Графика стилёвая, эффекты красивые, мне такое заходит. Игра хорошая, стоит 4 часов вашей жизни, нуждается в некоторых доработках, но в целом прохождению это не мешает.

Однозначно рекомендую, 9/10.

在Google Store发现的游戏，手机版每过一关都要看一个广告很不爽，幸好Steam有买断版，火速购入哩
一下午就打通关了，谜题设计特别短小精悍，没有一丝多余的累赘部分，不卡关的时候刷刷刷地过关特别爽，而且全流程通关完就自动获得全成就好评（但为什么所有成就的完成率都是5%以下）
开局看到女人不能拿刀怒了一下，结果一分钟后女主就拿起了刀，对不起刚刚狂骂你骂早了，原来是爱女游戏啊[spoiler] 每年献祭一个小男孩真是好文明桀桀桀 [/spoiler]
官方自带提示特别好，不会因为游戏冷门找不到攻略卡关，可以放心玩( • ̀ω•́ )✧
