Fun
Not my kind of game, it dislike the story and the art style and the whole
fighting and story telling. BUT i gave it a thumbs up cause
small dev, long development time and still patching the game,
Low Price, and i can see how this will work out great for many
people who love classic rpgs or play maybe pen and paper games.
Cute, fun, amusing, inoffensive - what more could you want? A great way to spend some time unwinding after the stress of a hard day or any time for that matter. I highly recommend it.
.
All-timer RPG. And now they're working on a new game, super exciting!
A charming top-down RPG indie game considering this is made only by two people. Accessible for those with not much RPG experience, not too difficult combats, family friendly style quite a like Monkey Island style,"save the world" story taking itself to too seriously, lots of dialogue with Balrdur's Gate style of dialogue interface. The combat is very basic, like MMORGP type of combat with cooldown skills. Recommend for at least one playthrough.
I've played it probably over 8 years ago, and probably got the game on humble bundle.
Still, I have fond memories of it or maybe it's nostalgia idk.
Adding a review now, as I've noticed that it still got updates after all these years in 2024/2025.
Truly a work of passion from the previous era of indie development.
Just play on casual and change to hard after last boss for easy hard mode achieve
Colourful, vibrant, not too difficult, maybe a little bit too basic, but definitely enjoyable. Very well suited for younger players just getting into gaming. A couple of light-hearted jokes thrown in too for good measure.
It's a pretty standard rpg, following the age-old formula of levelling for better stats, gear progression, skills, some simple combat and exploration, and a pretty standard story of collecting gems to Save the World.
My first playthrough wasn't very thorough but a second time through easily mopped up what remaining achievements I had left to get. I think the key thing to remember is to move as many objects as you can as a lot of collectables are hidden underneath (including the wego brick).
Some of the bonus rewards from achievements seemed lame or out-of-place though, and the odd system in place for companions means they only copy what you do - they'll gladly stand there and get pummelled and not fight back unless you start attacking. One bonus was +10% karma effects, which is next to pointless when you have a skill that gives your companions +2 strength for every karma point you have.
Combat does get stale fast though, as there just isn't enough variety with enemies. Spiders are everywhere, slimes are too - in fact, they could have had a gigachad slime boss that divided down into 32 mini slimes, but sadly they stopped at a slime only being able to divide twice. So it doesn't hold well for replayability.
If you're older then you might find this game either too simple or too childlike for your tastes. I recommend avoiding if that's the case, or get it for your young kids to play. Not a bad effort for the devs - I encourage them to think grander.
Funny, charming, and well-paced.
Open world RPG that if you played Notrium you will definitely appreciate.
Is fun
Spielwertung: 8.5/10
Spielzeit: ca. 10.5 Stunden
Spieldurchläufe: 1 (Ende)
Ein (sehr überraschend) sehr gutes RPG. Punkt.
Gekauft? Nope. Bundle? Code? Wahrscheinlich. Also keine Erwartungshaltung.
Der dritte Eindruck: "Wait a minute..."
4!) gezeichnet.
Das Spiel ist 1A programmiert. Keine Abstürze. Tolles Menü. Perfektes Savesystem. Keine Bugs.
INT bringt also genau... nix.
Daumen hoch.
I started this game years ago (it might be nearly a decade now), but I've just now gotten around to finishing it. Here's the skinny.
The good:
It's a charming, wholesome story-centric indie RPG.
The writing is light, goofy and full of heart. You can really tell this is a labor of love.
I finished it in under 20 hours, and that was a perfect amount of time to spend in Driftmoon.
Puzzles were easy, but that's the way I like 'em.
Some good use of simple physics.
The meh:
Combat is pretty bare-bones, though that really isn't the focus of the game.
The ending is a tad anti-climactic, but it honestly didn't bother me all that much.
It's a pretty game, but the graphics aren't exactly going to set the world on fire.
Controls are floaty, and the overhead perspective is a little odd. It's hard to see your own face, so it was difficult to develop a fondness for my own character.
The verdict:
This is the underrated OG of cozy RPGs. Family-friendly, completely stress-free and definitely worth a play if you're feeling like a mellow, short, light-hearted quest.
Cute, charming little RPG. It definitely feels like it was made with a younger audience in mind, but that's not a bad thing. If you want a little fairy tale of a story, or if you have some young relatives you want to get started on RPGs, this is a solid pick. If you want a deep engrossing story and complicated mechanics, however, you might want to look elsewhere.
epic
Neat little game. It is only a couple of hours long and it is suited for kids if you want to let yours have a go at it.
I had my heartwarming fun haha. It is nice to have simple games where you fight with silliness and everyone gets a happy ending.
2/10
Driftmoon is one of those games that I can't seem to stop coming back to play every so often, despite having lost count of how many replays I got on my record by now. It's just so full of charm and fun, obviously a labor of love.
This is a simple RPG that, while being very accessible to young kids or people who prefer to stick to the exploration and story side of things, can still be quite challenging on the hardest difficulty. It's chock-full of classic but lovingly crafted story tidbits, plenty of clever humor, heartwarming characters, easter eggs, rewarding little secrets to dig up if you explore thoroughly enough. Achievements that actually unlock usefull things? Yes, please. It's got something for everyone.
Ultimately, a full, unhurried but to-the-point (due to familiarity) run takes me about 10 hours of gameplay, which I feel is plenty to enjoy without it ever feeling stretched or bloated. This is a game completely free of bland sidequests. What's more, every time I dive into it I find new little details to enjoy. It still feels fresh after years of replays, and after my nth "wow, still great", I thought it was about time I left a review.
Looking forward to what the devs cook up next, and suscribed to their newsletter for that reason. Thank you for this sweet little hidden gem clearly so full of enthusiasm and heart!
Fun, goofy rpg
This is a small, lighthearted casual game and worth a recommendation. You can feel the love the developers put into their project.
This game is unlikely to knock your socks off. In a world of Baldur's Gate 3 and other such titles, Driftmoon is exactly what it seems to be... slightly dated, underwhelming in scope and somewhat flawed in it's execution. But it is not without it's charms.
The development team is small and continues to be remarkably responsive considering how old the game is. The world-building could, by more cynical actors, be called derivative. I choose to believe, however, that it is merely paying homage to the great fantasy epics that preceded it without ever taking itself too seriously. The writing is deliciously reminiscent of Sir Terry Pratchet and the fantastical absurdism of Discworld. Our hero travels the world on a riding snail, making friends and winning love and fighting an evil wizard bent on world domination. We're not exactly blazing narrative trails, here, but the game finds a way to use each of these tropes with a signature flair that is also not tiring.
So, if a bite-sized action RPG passion project by a couple of fantasy nerds sounds like something you'd enjoy, then you will probably feel right at home in Driftmoon. I did. It probably won't make anybody's top 10 list, but it is honest and earnest and charming and everything I needed such a game to be. The next time I'm looking for a fantasy RPG that is off the beaten path, I may just check in on our industrious indie couple and see what they've learned since this outing.
A atmosfera é incrível e a história é interessante.
Definitivamente recomendo.
Casual, funny, approachable, More suited to younger audiences.
A very fun, simple RPG that runs at high FPS and smoothly on the Steam Deck. Encountered a few bugs, but overall this has been great. The story telling reminds me a bit like a more child friendly version of Ultima VII.
Excellent game! A little short but a wonderful story, great humour and nice interface. Will definitely be looking forward to the next adventure!
Short and simple RPG likely intended for children but still managed to entertain me. It tells a nice little story with a bit of humor mixed in here and there. The art style though simple brings a lot of character to the game. Combat is super easy but still fun to advance your character. It's not a bad little game to be honest.
Enjoyed this game. Took a couple evenings of steady play. Very interesting, died a couple times but no loss of items.
Would be a good easy game for children.
Only complaint is the level editor (mentioned in a lot of the reviews) is not in the steam purchase / download.
Enjoyable RPG with a good Linux port
I've played this game through a few times and had fun. I can't really say that about to many games.
Having a good time playing this with 5- and 3-year old brothers on my lap. The oldest one has started drawing Driftmoon screens on paper, very sweet.
I probably wouldn't play it alone, though the game certainly has a very unique charm and is very accessible without being pandering.
Driftmoon is an enjoyable action/adventure/rpg. There's a decent amount of story with light humor laced throughout the game. The combat is a little meh and feels kind of like "babies first action rpg", but it doesn't detract too much from the game. It's worth a look if you're up for something new.
There are better more interesting games in this genre. Good for, like, little kids maybe.

Hyvä suomalainen pikkupeli suosittelen.
A lovely, relaxing little RPG with a high level of polish and attention to detail. The story is a fairly standard fantasy trope (evil king made a MacGuffin to rule the world, it got stolen and broken up, now he's trying to reassemble it and you are the World's Last Hope!) but the characters are charming and funny and there are some clever plot twists involving time travel. Combat isn't terribly difficult and doesn't require much in the way of tactical thinking, but is well implemented and not frustrating.
The game is fairly short and linear - about 7 hours to complete the story, a couple more to get most of the achievements - but packed full of things to do and collectibles to find. It's also well made; I'm working on my second playthrough and have yet to encounter any real bugs, typos, or any other problems. Well worth the money.
Welp. 6 years late to the party but Driftmoon is the real deal. And in the hellsacape that is 2020, it's also a breath of fresh air.
It's a top-down indie rpg-lite developed by a Finnish husband/wife duo. And while it's old as dirt it actually saw an EE refresh just this past April.
Beyond the fact that it can run at a billion fps on a toaster with modern hardware, what immediately struck me was how clean and straightforward the presentation and game design was. In an age of Ubisoft sandbox quest-marker bloat, Driftmoon comes across as mean & lean in execution.
While control & navigation feels intuitive, fast & fluid, the true star of the show is the clever & witty writing. Everything from light-hearted & often humorous NPC dialogue to the unique item descriptions that gives everything you pick up a personal history (even that borked rusty dagger you encounter first).
While I haven't finished it, I understand that the game is a mere 15 or so hrs. long. If you're looking for a pleasant weekend palate cleanser, Driftmoon might fit the bill.
It's an indie project and has to be evaluated as that. Full price looks a bit excesive because the game is not polished enough and still contains several bugs and achievements that can't be unlocked. I highly recommend to buy it on sale except if you want to help indie developers.
The game is extremely simple and fun. The story is compelling enough to keep you going. Like reading "the crazy adventures of..." kinda book. It's interesting to see personal projects like this come to reality.
However, if graphics are very important to you then this is not your game.
I, overall, enjoyed it quite a lot. That's why I recommend it.
Well worth getting. A charming and fun adventure suitable for adults and children alike. Good humor, some real RPG choices, exploration and treasure seeking, fun secrets, an interesting world and a satisfying story to follow. New Enhanced Edition has some very nice upgrades to the game which lifts an already fun game up and keeps it feeling fresh and modern. Includes widescreen support (older reviews don't include the free Enhanced Edition updates).
This is a perfect weekend game. It took maybe 10 hours to complete, and overall it didn't overstay it's welcome.
Driftmoons story is fairly generic, not really good or bad, just there. There are no surprises, but the side characters are well written, and overall enjoyable. While not outright funny, but got a couple of chuckles out of me, and did a great job at world building without wordcount building. It should be noted that it's clean, so I can say it would get an E for the most part.
The controls are easy to pick up, if you can play Diablo, you can play Driftmoon. The level layouts, and the "hidden" (not really) items are where this game shines. It keeps you pushing forward, and keeps you awake as your exploring, while not making it seem like your pixel hunting. Now sidequests are actually needed for the main quest, but the side quests never stray far from the main quest.
I guess I liked this game because it respected my time. It was fun, didn't try to stretch a bunch of stuff, let me play how I wanted to, but always let me know I can ALSO do something else if I wanted to. I think most games would get gunshy if it's just 10 hours, and we take a fun game at 10 hours, stretch it to 30, and make it frustrating.
Got a day to spare? Want an enjoyable adventure that's an homage to Ultima? Driftmoon is a perfect Sunday game.
This is a family friendly mobile ported 3D/top down classical action RPG (a bit like Diablo) where you guide a young person through a variety of challenges after everyone in your town is turned to stone.
The mobile port is what makes this game fail. While it has 3D graphics, the assets are all very low quality and low poly, to make sure the game works on mobile peasant devices. While some effort went into the game, the developers really shot themselves in the foot by compromising the game for mobile.
The developer has the audacity to charge $21.50 for this on Steam (that would get you a real RPG like Pathfinder:Kingmaker!) but they give it away free on mobile. I can't recommend anyone rewards this greed and disrespect for PC gamers and pays so much money to play a mobile game on PC when it's free for mobile gamers.
merci
This is a fun little indie game. It combines the old text-RPG's with a more modern format. It also incorporates more than just combat, as it includes the occasional riddle/puzzle-solving in order to proceed. The classes are implied and chosen through a skill tree & attribute chart, but mimic the traditional melee/range/magic roles.
Players are rewarded for exploration, and this is one of those rare games where they also get in-game rewards for achievements! The story is fairly light-hearted with some humor mixed in. During conversations though, you have the option of choosing your reply which directly affects your play-through and how your character develops. This provides some replay value.
IMHO it's worth the cost, so definitely grab it if you see it on sale! Cheers to the husband & wife devs for a great game!
#Ultima #MontyPython #Clown
This is brilliant! It's an adventure at heart, with fantastic characters, great puzzles, fun dialogue, and oozing with indie homegrown quality. If I had to describe it, it's like a "hug" of a game. It hugs you warmly right through until you finish it.
I'm about to play the "Enhanced Edition" and really looking forward to experiencing it all over again.

Although a bit rougher than your triple AAA RPG title, Driftmoon has a proper setting, story, character list, and exploration that will keep delivering after every encounter. I played a full 11 hours straight, I almost had 100% completionist (some secrets I could not find, but overall should not impact your gameplay whatsoever). The one thing that really struck true with me is how every action of mine had a consequence in the game, most of the time surprising me that keeping that random item you found in a cave actually aided in finishing a quest. Overall, great game by Ville, I wish you would make more Notrium content.
This is a cute little RPG that can be completed in ~5-10 hours. It's indie-developed by a couple who also released a number of games I played in my youth, including Wazzle and Notrium.
I had a blast with Driftmoon. There were a number of references made to their other games, as well as a good amount of charming dialogue and funny jokes.
This is quite possibly the most charming game I've ever played.
Such a good game! I played through it back when it was still early and strictly 2D overhead. It was great then, but they've improved it a lot over the years and just released a big update for it so now's a great time to get into the game!

While the graphics style is generally very pleasant, I don't quite like the overhead view. Since the environment is created in 3D and the angle is adjustable, it would have been nice to be able to view it a bit lower, and the game's use of a physics engine for the environment sometimes makes it feel a bit clunky and strange as you move around. One-click combat and interaction and seriously clichéd storyline also makes it a very simplistic game.
The dialogue and writing is lacking the charm and humour that I have seen in other titles, but it tries, which isn't always to its advantage. While the English isn't bad compared to some other games I've played, there were already signs in the very first few bits of writing that it is done by non-native speakers.
In short, it didn't appeal to me at all as I can get my adventure game fix from several other titles I know are far better.
why is the brother a skeleton?
This is quite a beautifully made game, with that feeling of old RPG games style. Graphics are polished and there are plenty of details here and there. However, the gem here is the story itself, with many role-playing dialogues and situational descriptions, which allow for immersion and extensive reading. If you enjoy those kind of values, this game will be lots of fun.
Good game
swietna gra, naprawde mnie wciagla, milo przy niej czas spedzilem :)

TLDR: Indie Diablo with auto-attack. Subpar audiovisuals. Character design and lore seemed a bit off. Unclear intended audience. Childish in tone.
An amusing little RPG with a light-hearted attitude despite the grimness of the situation.
Mechanically, the game is pretty simple, but there are some neat puzzles included and a good array of dialogue and options. Has a good deal of potential for custom mods, if folks are interested.
Shorter than expected, but nonetheless a good play.
It's surprisingly good small rpg-game. Combat is very basic and slow in the beginning, but it gets lot better when you get more levels and talents. Overall quality is high, which is rather rare these days. If you like old rpg-games, you most likely will enjoy this one as well. Worth mentioning are characters, puns and rather imaginative story.
Great game.
Great story.
Great visuals.
Great little RPG.
Worth a buy.
It might look simple but this game will charm the pants off you. Loved every second.
Interesting, old style cRPG game. The story is OK, and so is the gameplay. I have played it before and I already had my dose of fun. If you ask me, the base price is a little too high so wait for sale to get it.
A wonderfully crafted RPG with charm, wit and whimsical wonder.
For fans of Monkey Island, Nox, Storydriven rpgs in general.
Driftmoon is an solid little Adventure RPG with charming Story and nice play mechanics.
This game is heavily underrated. I don't fault players for not trying it out though - the cover for the game is really bad nor are the in-game graphics and animation really attractive.
That being said, the actual game is pretty damn good. Not mechanically, but the game does so much things right.
- The story is pretty good actually
- Game kept me interested in what happens next
- The dialogue is simple, but charming and funny (although prepare for a lot of puns about being dead)
- The details are delightful (an item that looks like Rudolph the Raindeer nose that lights up when the enemy is near, boots that leave glowing footstep trail)
- The UI and UE are made pretty well. I mean even when maps are small you can choose to fast travel to points of interest (Pillars of Eternity 2, take note).
There was only one annoying thing about the game and that was very late in the game (doors with timers).
All in all, I had low expectations judging from the screenshots, but the game is much better than it initially seems.
Simple but fun game, kind of reminds me a bit of Ultima 7.
I don't remember playing such a marvellous game recently! The humour, the story, the ideas, the dialogs, the characters... everything is so gooooooooooooooood! The game also conveys a lot of important life values so just for that it's should be played.
GREAT!
What a fun quirky little RPG-Adventure. This is a light-hearted, fun to play, coherent little RPG that stands the test of time by it's narrative. Recommended.
a really charming top-down rpg with pausable real-time combat. not a fan of the latter, prefer turn-based, but on lower difficulties it shouldn't be a problem if you're in it for the story, characters and exploration, like I was. it's not too long and more or less linear with new locations opening up as you progress, but it's very funny and cheerful, we don't get a lot of games like this nowadays. monsters don't respawn, which is always nice, but natural resources for potions and such do over time, you can even plant bushes to grow your own fruit.
I would've liked to skip nights by sleeping through them, there are plenty of beds around, but it's not possible. there's mod support, not sure about the amount and quality but it might be worth looking into. not gonna go into more detail, there's a demo to try, should be enough to make your mind up but it's really worth playing, I had a lot of fun. hoping for a sequel one day.
A marvellous little gem of a game. I am a fan of big, sprawling RPGs - I love my Witchers, Fallouts, Baludrs, Torments, Dragon Ages and Pillars. This game is nothing like them - it's sort of small, short-ish and compact. All the quests can be quite easily found (at least for a moderately experienced player), just as well as the items and collectibles. The game is finished in six or so hours, with multiple endings taking around twenty minutes to see all. All of this might seem as downright negatives, if your taste in games is anything like mine - yet that would be wrong. The story, characters, humour and game world and lore are sweet, charming and (at moments) surprisingly wise and... human. It's like watching a well-made comedy fairytale like Tangled - sure, it doesn't have the effects of the newest Hollywood spectacle or depth of Bergman.. but still it provides you with a smile, fun and good feelings for the time spent with it.
Highly recommended, especially if you are getting older and your Steam library is getting overcrowded with daunting, massive games. You'll be pleasantly surprised how great is it to play something tranquil and (in the best meaning of the word) simple as this.
Fun short RPG. I liked the charming characters and humor. Lots of thing to search for and find kept me engaged.
Pretty good, simple RPG. It's hard to really say a whole lot about it. It's a fun way to spend a day.
Charming and very enjoyable little indie RPG. This game can't compete with the big RPGs out there, and while there's isn't all much depth to the story, characters or systems, the game makes up for it with loverly, charming, lighthearted writing that's impossible not to like
Verdict: 4/10
Driftmoon is a nice enough adventure game, mostly text based with some audio breaks. No more and no less. A bit of a weird experience, as initially, it has a juvenile feeling that turns into a more mature feeling at the end. A nice enough adventure game that suffers from an undefined audience target.
Negative recommendation by a thread.

Driftmoon is a nice enough game. An adventure about a young man that has to save his village and love ones from a strange curse. It has a linear approach, but you will manage to alter some events through your decisions.
Technically, the game plays well. Visually, it’s average quality but charming to look at. The story is quite standard, but it’s well presented and developed. Combat is simple and does not require tactics.
My main criticism is its bipolar character. It starts as a juvenile story, very simple and family friendly, almost for kids. However, as the story progresses it turns into a deeper, more mature, feeling. Personally, I do not welcome this bipolar character. It just doesn’t click for any defined audience. In turns out to be too mature for kids, and too simple for adults.
In summary ; a nice enough adventure game that suffers from an undefined audience target.

Quest items can get stuck in places where you cannot get them back. Cannot abandon quest. Nor does the quest log realize that the character doesn't have the needed items yet it tells you to do something with them. Technically the quest was filled but still couldn't progress. Sad to see such glitches still happen on the main quest. Lost too much time to want to play it again. Be very careful if you want to enjoy the game because a misclick can cost too much progress.
Just finished playing this game in two days - it's a delightful romp with enough variety in characters and locations to make it truly engaging. The interconnectivity between locations, and use of returning characters make it worthwhile taking the time to learn about each of them.
While 'short' by RPG standards don't let that turn you off it, this is a complete, well-made game and is definitely worth checking out.
Incredible game for playing alone or with a munchkin. Your kids will love this, and your inner child will too.
Strong storytelling, easy gameplay, brilliant mods, this has it all, and for a real steal of a price on sale now. Get it- for 5$ you can't regret this game.
Pros:
Plays like the best of Torchlight or Fate.
Simple graphics. (retro feel)
Amazingly well done storyline for a first adventure.
Cons:
Simple graphics
Music gets repetative and annoying at points.
This game is a bit rough around the edges, but it's got heart and humor, and it was nice to play a short RPG in the sea of mammoth ones. I enjoyed it thoroughly.
I don't know why, but somehow it really took me a long time to finally get to play this game.
I think it is a real little gem.
A surprisingly interesting story with many plot twists and side stories. Really humorous without being childish or feeling forced.
Don't expect a challenging or complex fighting system. But it has some fun little physics puzzles and you can always discover something in the world.
Pretty cool RPG. Probably not worth $15, but still good.
Not what I was looking for or expecting. I was hoping for something with more rigor. It's a very simplistic RPG with basic commands and actions. Played it long enough to know this wasn't going to deliver. That said, it does have some charm and IMO probably a decent game for kids or newbies to RPGs.
Excellent old school RPG - a bit lite for seasoned vets but a great way to introduce your kids to the world of CRPGaming. Very nostalgic - reminds me of the games I played back in the early 90's without any of the hassles.
TLDR:
A charming fantasy adventure RPG highly reminiscent of the classic masterpiece, Ultima 7: The Black Gate (arguably the best of the series), albeit with more tongue-in-cheek humor.
Review:
Driftmoon is a 3rd-person isometric fantasy adventure game with light RPG elements that never takes itself too seriously. The plot is fantasy-standard stuff: village destroyed, chase down the big bad with the companions you acquire one-by-one, maybe even fall in love along the way, and it does so with tongue firmly planted in cheek. That's not to say that this is a silly game or a parody, but that the game has a very light-hearted feel to it, as opposed to say, Diablo or Dark Souls; this game doesn't want to punish you for playing it. I compare it to the masterpiece Ultima 7 both because they are each a mix of dark themes and humor, they each have the top-down oblique view of the world, but also because Ultima 7 was a clear inspiration in that the "Hoe of Doom" from Ultima 7 makes a cameo in Driftmoon.
While there are a range of difficulties you can play at - to adjust the challenge of combat to your taste - the overall difficulty of the puzzles and exploration seems aimed at the new adventurer or casual RPGer, and I think it does it in a way that does not require the typical level grind pervasive in so many hardcore RPGs. In fact, the designers even provide a cheat for you to use at your discretion to boost your levels as you wish, should you be unable to overcome a particular boss; this is part of what I mean by a very light-hearted experience in that the game is fairly forgiving if you don't do things just right. There are also a mind-boggling number of add-ons provided with the game to tailor it to your desired experience.
What I liked about Driftmoon:

I liked the tone of the game; particularly with so many adventure games having a very dark feel to it.

I liked that there was enough game here to provide almost 10 hours of entertainment without requiring me to spend hours grinding mobs to level up.

I really liked the add-ons and user-designed levels that came with the game, that ultimately helped not only tailor the experience of the main game, but helped extend the play beyond the main game. Unfortunately, some of the user-designed experiences are better than others.
What I didn't care for about Driftmoon:

I felt that the differentiation between the combat skills you could acquire was not great. It felt like they were trying for different play styles but the balancing between the different play styles felt uneven. For example, the tools are there for you to be an archer, but the implementation is so clumsy so eventually give up and go bash the monster in the face.

The silver feather collection mechanism was a bit too clunky for my taste, both in implementation and design. The game gives you no real reason to collect these, and as they can be a bit challenging to find, you may not even try all that hard to do so. Yet if you do not collect them in sufficient quantity, you'll deeply regret it later.
Light hearted RPG that contains plenty of charm and humour to make up for the lack of combat depth. The world of Driftmoon is actually pretty large to explore and chatting to the citizens and creatures brings out a lot of monty python style humour showing the game doesn't take itself too seriously. The main quest is fairly stock standard when it comes to RPG's but it's still enjoyable enough to keep your interest throughout the entire game. Side quests were pretty amusing and varied to keep the game interesting.
I'm no RPG expert but managed to complete the entire game (with 100% achievements) in under 10hrs. Personally I liked the fact I didn't have to put 50+ hours into the game to finish it and I got to explore every inch of the gameworld. Others might disagree, however considering the game was made by just 2 people the amount of game polish in the overall package is damn impressive. The game and story do not overstay their welcome and I felt the length of the game was pretty spot on (i.e It didn't drag on at any point and never felt tedious).
I didn't encouter any bugs, crashes or technical issues with the game. Highly recommend if you're a fan of RPG's in general and want an interesting game world to play around in for awhile.
Good little game. 8/10
Charming rpg, unique on it's own <3
Like dragging things to find treasure or solve puzzle ^^
npc friends have well-written character, love them <3
A stunning game and the couple that made it have designed a great RPG with some great features and a decent Editor. They are also very friendly and helpful...
One of the best yet simple games i ever played.
Excellent rpg plein d'humour !
Driftmoon was a very charming game. The interaction between the vast amount of characters was very engaging and would often impact what was happening in your game. The combat in Driftmoon isn't anything to be amazed about however this was overshadowed by the exploration of the considerably large zones and of course the dialogue.
I nominated this game in the “I Thought This Game Was Cool Before It Won An Award” award category of the steam awards as I think it needs more attention than it ever got.
I loved every minute of the game.
Granted, it doesn't look like the best game ever made but the story, characters and the atmosphere are all top notch.
