Double Dragon IV es un juego corto, es entretenido pero tiene bastante problemas
Me encanta la saga Double Dragon, me he pasado la mayoría de los juegos.
Al jugar este juego me di cuenta que intenta apelar a las versión de la NES
Siendo como "Que había pasado si hubiéramos sacado un Double Dragon 4 en NES".
Y la verdad replicaron mucho de juegos de esa época, desde lo bueno hasta lo malo.
Pues es entretenido si entiendes lo que haces pero si no es bastante frustrante.
Los principales probablemente serían hacer movimientos especiales al atacar o cuando realmente no quieres.
Pues este juego incluye ataques especiales tipo "Street Fighter 2" lo cual no es mala idea pero está mal implementado, por lo que muchas veces al atacar normal terminas haciendo un ataque que no querías y en el peor de los casos haciendo que te cuente una vida.
Y el segundo problema más importante es al perder todas tus vidas.
Pues conformes avanzas y al juego hacerce más difícil también hay muchas cheap deads o enemigos que si o si te van a golpear y quitar una vida.
Lo que lo vuelve frustrante pues uno no quiere perder todo su progreso y volver a la misión 1 pero lo peor es que este juego SI tiene una manera de continuar, el problema es que nunca lo comunica.
Me enteré por un vídeo recomendado en YouTube.
(Tienes que presionar Select en el menú principal antes de entrar al juego.)
Más allá de esos problemas quizás sería un poco la variedad de los enemigos o el que reutilizaron los Sprites de la NES.
Lo calificaría como un juego aceptable, tipo OK.
Pero con muchos aspectos mejorables.

Double Dragon IV is a short game. It’s entertaining, but it has quite a few problems.
I love the Double Dragon series and I’ve played through most of the games. When I played this one, I noticed it tries to appeal heavily to the NES-era games.
It feels like the idea was: “What if we had released Double Dragon 4 on the NES?”
And honestly, it recreates many things from games of that era—both the good and the bad. It can be fun if you understand what you’re doing, but if you don’t, it can be very frustrating.
One of the main issues is the special moves. Sometimes you perform them when you’re just trying to do a normal attack. The game includes Street Fighter II–style special inputs, which isn’t a bad idea, but the implementation isn’t very good. Many times you’ll end up doing a special move you didn’t intend to, and in the worst cases it can even cause you to lose a life.
The second major problem happens when you lose all your lives. As the game progresses and becomes harder, there are many cheap deaths or enemies that will almost certainly hit you and take a life. This becomes frustrating because you don’t want to lose all your progress and go back to Mission 1.
The worst part is that the game does have a way to continue, but it never tells you. I only found out from a recommended video on YouTube.

Aside from those problems, other minor issues include the lack of enemy variety and the fact that they reused many NES sprites.
Overall, I’d rate it as an average game—just “OK”, but with many aspects that could have been improved

Tá aí uma coisa que eu tentei entender por um tempo a proposta do Double Dragon 4.
Eles utilizaram a arte 8 bits, reaproveitando as artes dos games anteriores e criando novos movimentos e personagens, adicionando uma coisa ou outra.
Eu achei que o Título Double Dragon 4 foi meio que forçado.. mas é um bom game e bem difícil.
Recomendo, sistema de conquistas são massivas e repetitivas.

Do you want a game with terrible sound effects and some of the worst / unfair designed platforming sections ever seen in a side scrolling beat-em up?
Do you want to be ganked by multiple enemies who are faster and have more moves than you?
Do you want said enemies to constantly spam their special moves and long range attacks to stunlock and knock you to the floor over and over again and not let you get back up?
If the answer is yes to the above questions, then you've come to the right game.
You know what, I was presently surprised by this one. Its pretty fair, its really old school but the controls are still like, way better then the NES versions which seems to be what they were drawing from, idk. I’m sure some might argue as a product its bad, but as fair as a short little NES DD tribute, it’s cute. If you judge it as a game and liked the DD on the NES, you’ll probably have a alright time with it. Though, I wouldn't say its great otherwise. There are and where much better beat'em ups even at the time, and I think finding it dinky and cheap is fair. I kind of wish there was a neutral for this feel. I wanna push back on the negative reviews a bit more then to be super critical here. So I'll give a uppies to the dinky little game.

This is the first game I wanted to give a good review but cant. The platforming is garbage. It kills the game. Also this is the first Beat em' up game I've seen where the enemies have more variety to their attack than the playable characters. They can run but you cant. Why? They can do frontward flips and drop kicks but you can't. Why? It makes no sense. Also weapons like whips and bats are worse than fighting bare handed. Normally in these types of game you get less damage overall but you gain rage and knockdown. Range with weapon attack is less than attacking normally. It's so sad it's kinda funny.
I want to like this game. I really do. I can't though. The game is almost good... almost. Maybe If the NPC character were playable (for story mode) this game would be good. Lack of moves make this game boring. Especially when you see the NPC running round doing flips and dropkicks. What a sad, sad day. 4/10
Aunque el juego está basado en Double Dragon 2 de NES—que es a mi parecer el mejor de los Double Dragon—solo en ese se parecen, en lo visual, porque no tiene ni la música ni el plataformeo que hicieron tan glorioso al Double Dragon 2, esto se siente más como un fan made que un juego creado por estudio bien avalado. Solo lo recomiendo si te lo regalan o lo compras al 90% y solo para pasarlo una vez, no hay más.
Игра топчик, для скуфов. Плакаешь и играешь как оно тогда весело было. Управление усовершенствовали, все приёмы доступны сразу, можно выбирать уровень. Игра в меру всрата по этому и низкий рейтинг в стиме.

The Good: It plays better than than many of the older Double Dragon games for the most part, really good soundtrack.
The Bad: Incredibly inconsistent graphical fidelity, the game tries so hard to replicate the look of NES, but it uses strange assets that are mismatched, and it really cheapens the look of the game as a result. Platforming hell is very real in this game in tried and true Double Dragon manner.
The Ugly: The fact that this game released over two decades after Double Dragon V...
Game is fun and challenging.
Some tips:
- you can change the key configuration in "config" in the main menu
- you can select your start mission after completing one!! Go to "menu and hit enter (multiple times), in the right corner you see the mission you selected, quite useful for your first playthrough and platform training with specific characters.

Si lo concibes como una entrega de esa época no está nada mal.
Modo historia corto, en una hora y poco lo completas, luego tiene algún modo extra y muchos personajes desbloqueables.

Such bad platforming and I don't like the control scheme. Just feels like a flat, cheap, fangame based on the originals. The level layout is atrocious and that's my main huge gripe. Since you're already playing on Steam, pick up River City Ransom: Underground instead, or even the latest DD game, Double Dragon: Gaiden, instead of this junky, clunky excuse for a sequel to the brilliant original NES games.

Double Dragon genau so, wie mans liebt: inspiriert von Actionfilmen der 80er und 90er, jede Menge Gegner und Locations, gelegentlich eine Kiste, die man aufnimmt und herumschmeißt und ... Jump-n-Run-Szenen? Die sind mir neu in Teil 4, aber man überlebt sie. Meistens. Gutes Game, das man am besten mit dem Retro-Soundtrack genießt.
I loved Double Dragon 2 and Double Dragon 3 on my NES so i was excited to play this sequel but tbh the game is trash. The game has lots of bugs, the storyline is not good and the combat system is nowhere near the old double dragon games.

不是哥们儿不想多玩会，实在是被一堆小兵围殴起来就死，飞膝不能改方向真是硬伤
Всем причастным к данной теме рекомендую как минимум что бы увидеть на что эта игра способна и немного окунуться в прошлое.
В целом, если бы у нее была более адекватная цена, то игру можно было считать не плохой. Ретро-стайл, настальгия немного пробивает, есть интересные задумки, но у игры просто АДОВЫЙ потенциал который раскрыли наверное на половину от силы. И видно что не сильно то и старались, халтура бросается в глаза. А можно было такую бомбу сделать, что ее бы просто с руками отрывали!!!
Расширить боевку, со всякими крутыми комбо, дорисовать удары, броски, добавить легендарный подкат (тайну которого мы так яростно пытались раскрыть в 3 части, думая что он предусмотрен для главных героев). Добавить бег, отталкивание от стен и от друг друга как это было в той-же 3 части.
Лучше проработать гейм-дизайн, саму графику, цвета, уровни, локации, пейзажи, ловушки, фишки, а то тут какой-то явный сумбур наблюдается и не логичность, где-то даже нелепость.
Более серьезно подойти к музыке. Это капец какой важный момент. Например в главном меню какая-то непонятная полифония играет, хотя мелодия вроде та-же. Но не та самая 8-битная классика в плане звучания и не полноценная современная музыка. Что-то среднее и не очень приятное на слух. Сделать либо "Full Old Classic" со старыми и новыми темами, но клевыми, а не шляпой какой нибудь. Или уже что-то на подобии synthwave \ retrowave - стиль который отлично заходит подобным ремейкам. Вспомните Хантдаун, с его шикарными саундтреками.
В общем обидно конечно, что берут проекты с такой крутой историей и значением для тех кто на них вырос, и делают абы-как, лишь бы денег срубить. Подходя к работе без должного уважения к фанатам, без той преданности и бесконечной любви к эпохе NES которая до сих пор живет наши сердцах.
Очень надеюсь что это не конец истории для легендарного Double Dragon и на нашем веку: кто нибудь, когда нибудь реализует то, чего эта игра действительно достойна!

Ich habe mir das Spiel gekauft, da ich Double Dragon 2 auf dem NES wirklich sehr geliebt habe!
Double Dragon IV steht dem Game von damals in nichts nach und sowohl die bekannten Gegner wie die bekannten Schläge, Tritte und Moves lassen das Herz sofort höher schlagen! Wirklich genau was ich gesucht hatte!
Es lassen sich mehrere (spielbare!) Gegner freischalten! Für das Bezwingen der Hauptstory mit diesem Gegner-Charakter gibt es dann auch ein Achievement. Ebenso lassen sich verschiedene "Floors" spielen, welche immer mehr und schwierigere Gegner bringen. Hierfür gibt es für das erreichen von höheren Floors dann ebenfalls Achievements. Alles in allem also sehr viel Challenge!
Der Schwierigkeitsgrad hat es ebenfalls (wie damals) wirklich in sich! Mit vielen spielbaren Charakteren ist es wirklich eine Herausforderung und erst nach vielen Versuchen und perfekten Runs möglich mit genug Leben bis zum Endgegner zu kommen.
Warum sollte man das Spiel also nicht kaufen, wenn es doch genug Challenges gibt und der Flair, die Optik und das Gameplay genau wie früher sind?
Nun... es gibt keine Steam-Cloud. Das alleine ist zwar unpraktisch, aber kein K.O.-Kriterium.
Tatsächlich ist es allerdings so, dass bei einer Neuinstallation des Spiels eure alten Savegames NICHT vom Spiel akzeptiert bzw. gar nicht erst angezeigt werden und jeder Fortschritt oder spielbare Charakter verloren ist!
Mir ging das aktuell so, da ich einen neuen PC habe und nun die Saves vom alten PC wieder an den korrekten Speicherort kopiert habe. In den Steam-Diskussionen gibt es dazu auch einen Thread - es liegt also nicht an meiner Unfähigkeit den korrekten Folder an die korrekte Position zu kopieren.
Wer den Schmerz mag, alles bei einem PC-Wechsel oder einer Neuinstallation immer wieder von vorne zu spielen und alle Charaktere nochmal neu freizuspielen, der ist hier genau richtig!
Wirklich sehr, sehr schade... - die Umsetzung ist nämlich an sich sehr gelungen (auch wenn das Game selbst leider nur im Fenster und nicht auf Vollbild zu spielen ist).
Whoof, boy is this game bad. I've loved Double Dragon games all my life, and this LOOKS like the games you might remember on the NES, but boy does it not play like them. It's nice that all the moves that used to require precise combinations of the A and B butons have been spread out to all the various buttons that have evolved since then, but the satisfaction of beating dudes up is ruined by some of the worst platforming you'll ever see, some absolute BS one-hit-kill setpieces and enemies in the back half of the game, and some absolutely ear bleeding MIDI renditions of classic DD tunes. Overall it feels like a really bad fan game, give it a miss.

Double Dragon IV is a throwback to the first three 8-bit Double Dragon titles on the NES.
For nostalgic purposes, most of the character and enemy sprites are lifted directly from previous Double Dragon entries. There's also a handful of new baddies with their own unique techniques. Characters such as a Karateka with psychic capabilities, twin bombshells that are armed with double handguns. Heck, there's even a Pro-Wrestler that delivers a nasty somersault dropkick from a good distance,
In terms of gameplay, Double Dragon IV has the classic 'Nintendo Hard' feel to it. Enemies waste no time in surrounding players. Stay in one place too long and prepared to get pummeled. There's also minor platforming spots that hearkens back to the traps found in the original Dragon trio. Obstacles including conveyor belts, spike pits, lava, spears, and even the much-dreaded brick wall from Mission 4 all make a comeback.
True to the old NES titles, Double Dragon IV also has a few mazes. Certain sections that can repeat endlessly if players don't go through the right doorway.
Completing Double Dragon's story unlocks Tower mode; a survival gauntlet where players can see how many opponents they can beat with one single life bar. Completing multiple stages also unlocks additional characters and steam achievements. As an added surprise, the later levels of Tower mode keep the nostalgia going with floors designed after stages found in the classic Double Dragon titles. Floor 30 is a nod to Double Dragon III's dojo, along with the Black Warrior's hangout from DDI, and the final stage from Double Dragon II with a surprise appearance from the Mysterious Warrior himself!
Speaking of sound, Double Dragon IV's soundtrack only adds to the experience. Stage tracks are energetic, setting the tone for hand to hand combat, all the while paying homage to past iterations. Along with the newer tunes, Double Dragon IV also offers plenty of sound effects and BGM tracks re-arranged from the older Double Dragon titles. Roar of the Dragon, Mission 4 (Abobo's theme) and the iconic Mission 1 theme (Arrival of the Black Warriors) are just a few retro standouts featured within.
Though, not every aspect of Double Dragon IV is spotless. Enemies can be a tad too aggressive at times; swarming players with millisecond reaction times. The enemies also tend to crowd around downed players; making use of each player's rising techniques essential to break away from tough spots.
Compared to other beat em up's currently available in the Steam store, Double Dragon IV also plays noticeably slower in comparison. Again being a reference to the look and feel of Double Dragon's roots on more-primitive hardware.
Ultimately, Double Dragon IV is a title that never revolutionized the beat em up genre, nor did it intend to. For $9.00, Double Dragon IV is a neat, little throwback to the original 8-bit trilogy while offering series die-hards a chance to experience a new take on the games they've been playing for decades.

Having just played through DD2, this game feels clunky. Its just so GD slow. It doesnt feel like an NES game either, instead of two buttons to jump, jump has its own button. This probably is fine if i had played with the controller config, but i just cant get over how sluggish this game feels to the OG NES games.
Very fun game especially once you unlock other characters like Ashida to play with.

Creo que tiene la variedad de escenarios de Double Dragon IV para famicom, que es una copia pirata del "Target Renegade" al que le cambiaron el título.
Lo que sí, los fondos están recreados de forma preciosa.

1. 开始默认键位是打乱的，不是WSAD也不是↑↓←→，而是EXSD
2. 使用RIGHT ARM这个角色时有BUG，有时候无缘无故触发“加速跳”，这个加速跳不知道什么时候会来？无法预测！
3.NPC阿波波有个BUG技能（战斗龙卷风），可以打掉8成左右的HP，这个技能我在对战模式中试了一下是有后摇的但NPC阿波波用没后摇........
4.游戏反应不灵敏，有时候转不过身子白白被打。
5.过段时间不玩，之前解锁的人物全没了。。。

i'm guessing a lot of people have this morbidly wishlisted and a bunch probably bite on each sale. I bit on the current 50% so it cost about $3.50.
I won't spoil the jank fun for those people, but I can say I got about exactly $3.50 out of it. It delivered: the crazed unbreaking guitar line in the track for Mission 3, a solid hour of gawking generally, 1 funny video, then that was it. I think it was worth it.
There's plenty to pick over, but the main thing I'd like to point out is that the gameplay is pretty faithful to NES DD. Unfortunately, while it appears to be DD2, the balance is more like DD3. However, they give you a huge health bar, which you'll need to just tank a lot of hits because it's like an overtuned Blockbuster rental game, like DD3 NES. So be forewarned that the main thing that made me eventually stop is that it plays like *drumroll* Double Dragon. A once through gives you your 350 worth and a quenching of wonder about just what on earth this thing is.

Si, como yo, creciste con los juegos de la NES, y jugaste al Double Dragon II de la NES (juego en el que está claramente basada esta cuarta parte), este juego TAMPOCO te resultará entretenido.
Un juego que mezcla sprites de 3 generaciones diferentes, tanto en escenarios como en personajes, y sin apenas un carisma especial que pueda mantener unido semejante crimen.
Se percibe un intento de mejorar el juego a base de añadir movimientos adicionales, pero no están bien equilibrados y en general son superfluos. En general aparenta ser un producto inacabado.

Ich bin mit niedrigen Erwartungen an Double Dragon IV herangegangen, da sich das Spiel nun einmal in erster Linie an eine spezifische Nische der Double Dragon-Fanbase anbiedert - nämlich den Spielern der NES-Trilogie. Fans der Arcade-Originale oder der modernen Neon-Auskopplung dürften sich wohl etwas veralbert vorkommen. Doch wenn man sich die Zeit nimmt und das Spiel ausgiebiger zockt, findet man recht schnell ernsthaften Gefallen an der Herausforderung des Tower-Mode oder der Option den Story-Modus mit allen(!) Charakteren durchzocken zu können. Online-taugliche Multiplayer-Optionen für Versus-Kämpfe und Koop schaden freilich auch nicht. Darüber hinaus ist die Spielbarkeit dank einer konfigurierbaren Steuerung und einem fest zugewiesenen Jump-Button überraschend hochwertig. Eine gute Palette an Kampfmoves für jede Spielfigur rundet das Gesamtpaket ab und rechtfertigt die gute Wertung trotz der etwas ranzigen Retro-Masche.

通关游戏其实不难，但拿全成就就要说制作组要么根本没玩过双截龙，要么就是敷衍用双截龙随便做一款来骗钱。
全成就其中需要用不同角色通关，游玩过程中你能感受到制作组根本就没尝试玩过自己的游戏，点名有两关跳跃齿轮的部分，但凡制作组玩过双截龙2就不会觉得自己做出来的齿轮部分能让玩家感觉到乐趣，完全就是智障一样的设计，因为不同角色的跳跃距离根本不一样，导致在那一部分需要玩家不断试错距离，再搭配上制作组的弱智反人类设计（卷轴卷了个寂寞）完完全全就是一个噩梦。
还不算各种BUG，例如用女忍者Ayumi在第十关试过城堡那里因为提示箭头还没出现，但我已经清完版了提前进门口会游戏卡流程。还有用Jake这个角色也会在某些跳跃部分卡流程。这里明显就是制作组根本没试过自己的角色会不会出Bug。
很多时候你只能按部就班等游戏提示才能进行下一步，完全的受罪，流程不长但很多关卡其实就是无聊的设计。如果想着重温以前双截龙横板通关游戏的美好，建议去下载FC模拟器玩回2、3代，这一代纯属挂个4代名字，打击手感奇差无比，可以说没有。
如果你真的想尝试这辣鸡，建议等打折，游戏根本不值48，在我个人心中8元还能入手考虑。
Il nome del titolo potrebbe ingannarvi, il gioco è un sequel del terzo Double Dragon del nes, quindi è scollegato dal "Super Double Dragon" del Snes (e probabilmente pure al 5).
Questo titolo riprende la trilogia del nes visto la grafica e il gameplay di quel tipo. C'è un buon arsenale di mosse, i comandi sono meno rigidi (c'è un pulsante per il salto) gli scenari sono più dettagliati (considerato la grafica a 8 bit) e ci sono più nemici da picchiare.
Una semplice operazione di Nostalgia che sinceramente funziona per grossa parte del tempo. Il gioco non è così sleale visto che avrete 5 continue con 3 vite ognuno, da affrontare con 10 livelli (1 oretta circa per finirla). Inoltre questo gioco ha 2 chicche: Una modalità 1 vs 1 con un altro player (ricordando la modalità del primo Double Dragon del nes) e una modalità "Torre" che è una sopravvivenza salendo in questa torre fino a quanti piani riesci a superare. Entrambe le modalità hanno una vastità di personaggi giocabili (ben 20) quindi non sarete legati solo a Billy o Jimmy.

La musica è davvero anomala
Le sezioni platform, sebbene siano presenti risultano meno frustanti visto che saltare è più facile visto che hanno messo un pulsante per il salto
E la cosa che rompe totalmente il gioco... lo "spam killing" dei nemici. Quando si è a terra ci saranno i nemici che ti continueranno a colpire, e una volta alzato non si avrà il tempo di reagire... davvero troppo rotto a mio avviso (ho perso la maggior parte delle vite appunto per questo problema).

Играть в эту игру просто больно... Боёвка крайне скучная, игра такое чувство что дико медленная. Никаких интересных приёмов, комбо или прочего в игре нет. Конечно есть супер удары, но лишь пара штук. Есть оружие, далеко не всегда удобное или практичное, к тому же его прям очень мало.
К врагам претензий много. Игра ну примерно на час, но за этот час и некоторых врагов появляются их "клоны" других цветов и дамага, ну настолько лень было, а? Но что больше вымораживает так это то что их иногда пачки. В ДД для НЕС из-за аппаратных ограничений огромное скопление врагов не могло произойти никогда, вроде 2-3 штуки максимум. Здесь вывалить штук 8 вообще тема под конец игры обычная, не дай боже они вас повалят, только божья сила позволит уйти без потери попытки. Как и часто бывает что вроде линия разная, я не попадаю, а мне влетает за глаза, вау.
Боссы есть, повторяются даже... Игра на час максимум, напомню. Но они вообще не интересные, у них даже своей музыкальной темы нет!
Никаких интересных ситуаций игра не генерирует вообще, тупо идти вперёд. Ну ладно, паркур был, с этим то управлением и прыжками это каторга, даже платформу исчезают!
Управление... У меня уверенность на 100% что тот кто его делал в руках геймпад не держал. Назначение кнопок отвратительно, весь час придётся пупаться в них если вы хотя бы когда нибудь играли на геймпаде в другие бит эм апы.

Игра сделана прям как на НЕС. Я не против ретро стиля, но сделано тут безидейно. Просто спёрли с оригинальных частей, считай ничего не поменяли и нарисовали пару спрайтов и локаций.
Локации... В игре 14 миссий, каждая ну примерно минут на 5, с двумя задниками. Сразу видно, не ленились.
Музыка в игре убила на повал, по ощущениям трека 3 которые постоянно не репите. Никаких уникальных композиций, заглавная тема и пара на фоне, конец.
Звуки же прям отвратительные, я понимаю что хотели сделать как раньше, но раньше они звучали приятнее и даже мягче, тут же прям по ушам бьёт дико. Особенно эти чуть ли не скрипы.

В ДД никогда не было это сильной стороной. Тут же так же, только наверное ещё тупее, особенно концовка. Короче забейте, как и на проработку персонажей.

И это не шутка. В игре нет фулл скрина, она запускается с маленьком окне которое даже растянуть не дают! Ещё и на японском, позаботились об игроках.
И что смешно, иногда в игре есть микро фризы. Чему тут фризить?!

It definitely could have used more polish, such as a proper options menu, lan or invite multiplayer, control binding etc but otherwise it's a really good game. Must have if you're a fan of the series and loved DD2 or 3. From what I can tell this game is pretty much a tribute to them. Loving the new stages and moves, soundtrack still banging.

Hard to recommend. This is a sequel, specifically, to the NES Double Dragon trilogy. I like that as a concept. The music is decent (w/retro option selected), has that god flow of fighting and awkward platforming that make the NES games hard to put down. But it feels so unpolished.
When it works, it works REALLY well. The timing of attacks, the almost tactical approach to crowd control, the wealth of content, has the makings of a great DD followup. But combat feels unfair (and not in the NES ways). They throw way too many enemies at you, which no matter how acquainted you are w/the mechanics you just can't breathe. Enemies can also stunlock you easily, including ones who can kill you in a few attacks, The NES games had this, but the enemy groups were small enough, and the mechanics realiable enough that you could always get out of any situation. DD4 just pukes endless enemies at you toward the end and, even in 2-player, its unmanageable.
Not to mention the JPG looking bckgrnds, the unpolished feel of the shoehorned story, some dumb nostalgia-fanservice. Feels like a cheap money-grab because, from a business perspective, it is. Can tell the team had good ideas, good intentions, and you can see the game it could've been w/more polish. I do think theres something there for people who like DD, has a bunch of content, always fun in 2-player, but not for most people.

I was excited about this game back when it was announced. Disappointment sat in after maybe my 1st 15min of playing. In my honest opinion, this game shouldn't have been made. I'll take DD Gaiden as a sequel over this any day.

最近プレイしてみたら、実はかなりしっかりしている。立派なダブルドラゴンの続編だ。Arc.Sysはやってくれた。
When DDII: The Revenge came out for NES, I probably rented that game from the local video store every weekend. I played the absolute hell out of it.
When this game came out, which is a 'sequel' to DDII, I was absolutely delighted. It is by far better than DDIII: The Rosetta Stones (both the NES and arcade versions of which were terrible games that made no sense at all, story wise, and the NES version's difficulty is a sort of cruelty that lies almost at the maximum limits of pure sadism). It's not as good as 'Super Double Dragon' or 'Double Dragon Advance', but it's also not supposed to be, so I don't think it'd be fair to compare them.
I strongly recommend this game to anyone who enjoyed playing the original DD games, especially on the NES, because being one of those people, I saw this game as a tribute to those classics of yore and a fanservice of sorts to people who enjoyed those games.
If you're not one of those folks who played and enjoyed the older games of this sort, you probably won't like this game at all - which is fine because it wasn't made for you.

ダブルドラゴンのテーマ曲は相変わらず格好いい。
懐かしい気分になりながらプレイしました。
コンティニューは回数制限があるものの、回数が多いので限界まで使えばクリアは難しくないと思います。
ノーコンティニューだと結構難しいです。
主人公よりも、後から条件を満たすと使用可能になるザコ敵の方が強くて悲しい気分になりました・・・。
いろいろ不満はありますが懐かしさ補正でおすすめ。
このシリーズは一切知らないという人にはおすすめしません。

You need to know what you are getting into with this game. It is intentionally designed to be a simple classic linear beat-em up with low bit pixel art graphics.
In terms of gameplay...
- The game is completely linear. There is no backtracking or alternate paths.
- There are no shops or dojos to upgrade your characters. You have all the moves from the start of the game. Also enemies don't drop any currencies. There are also no rogue-like mechanics. So Double Dragon IV had a very different design philosophy than Double Dragon Neon or Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons which both had those aforementioned features.
- All you can do is move (up, down, left, and right), punch, kick, and jump. You can do additional moves with combinations and timing of your input, but those are your only inputs. There are no blocking, dodging, sprinting, or supers mechanics.
- After you have been countered and fall down, you can perform a strong attack while recovering that can help you from being continually combo-ed. This is a nice feature I wish more beat-em ups had. :)
- There is a scoring system. :)
- Unlike old arcade games, there are no level timers. :)
None of those points are a bad thing. Although there are numerous modern beat-em up games, often times these new games try to add features to make them distinct but those features can sometimes muddy/bog down the experience when you just want to jump in and start punching people. So I personally have found Double Dragon IV rather refreshing in the modern market due to it's simplicity. Double Dragon IV also has a slower pace than other modern beatem ups, and despite the game being about punching people I actually found it somewhat relaxing at times. :D
So, if you are in the mood for just a simple classic beat-em up that is relatively slow paced, I would recommend Double Dragon IV.

Проходил в кооперативе первые три части и Neon. Считаю, что квадриквел сделан отлично! Включает в себя 12 уровней с форматом экрана 16:9, имеет менее хардкорный подход к геймплею, что считаю правильным: игрокам даётся больше жизней и кредитов. А из меню, нажав кнопку Start на строке "Options", можно после смерти выбрать уровень, на котором остановились. Теперь нет нужды перепроходить всё с нуля, выучивая наизусть расположение врагов, тайминги ловушек и прочее. Если нет особого желания, конечно.

A new, yet retro, NES-style Double Dragon game?
Not what most of us wanted, I'm sure and the short answer is.. it's OK.
There are only 2 buttons (but you can map macros in the config options) and they do manage to allow you to pull off a decent number of moves despite the limited controls.
The game has 12 missions in total and there are a lot of repeat enemies as expected for the genre. You do unlock enemy characters as you play through the story and there is a survival mode that unlocks upon completing the story. The story mode does feature short cutscenes between levels to move the plot forward.
Graphics look like the NES games of old. Whether that will appeal to you or not will depend on if you have nostalgia for the old games and if those graphics will still appeal to you in the modern-day. I do have nostalgia for the old games but was disappointed as soon as I saw the graphics. If they had gone the 16-bit route instead like Super Double Dragon/Return of Double Dragon then that would have appealed to me.
The soundtrack is actually pretty good. Enjoyable even. I have to say I was surprised that there were a number of catchy tunes.
This was definitely a budget title and is priced as such so I won't be harsh and say it is a waste of money.
You may get some enjoyment out of it (albeit briefly) but you will likely get your money's worth so I would still recommend it to those that grew up on the NES games and have a passing interest. For everyone else though I would say that there are better options out there.

Enfin un opus de la fameuse franchise, avec des graphismes de la NES où j'ai joué les meilleurs Double Dragon, le 2 et le 3 et surtout je vous recommande le Double Dragon Advance de la GBA. Graphiquement c'est de la NES, on reprends les personnages principaux et on leur rajoute une panoplie de coup en plus des coups du Double Dragon 2 de la NES. On y est pas trop dépaysé et on retrouve ses marques. Quand aux ennemis c'est à peu près pareil avec quelques coloris en plus et quelques nouveaux ennemis et boss, comme ça on pourra pas dire que c;est que du repompage. La musique 0 effort, c'est quasiment les mêmes musiques de la NES. Le scénario est complètement bidon mais on reste dans l'univers de Double Dragon, avec une ambiance un peu Ken le survivant sans toute sa violence. Les "missions" sont complètement insignifiants! Des fois elles sont hyper courtes, et on se rend même pas compte que l'on est déjà arrivé au(x) boss de fin de niveau. Aucune musique n'annonce qu'on est face aux boss. On regrette qu'ils n'ont pas mis un format plein écran et une plus haute résolution, on aurait vraiment dit que c'est un remake fait par des fans. J'ai l'impression que les stages sont faits n'importe comment et complètement à l'arrache. Il y a le mode de jeu Tour où on affronte différents ennemis à chaque étages comme un mode survival. On fini par débloquer tous les personnages du jeu avec lesquels on peu jouer avec. C'est assez amusant de découvrir tous leurs coups et coups spéciaux. C'est amusant à deux, on y joue une fois, deux fois mais sans plus. Destinés aux purs fans de la franchise pour suivre un nouvel épisode de la série.
要说优点吧，这像素小人儿能一下让你忆起小时候打双截龙的乐趣，动作也还算顺畅，依然有你喜欢的上勾拳和铁膝盖什么的，还多了几个技能，一些熟悉的boss也悉数登场。
但是这游戏缺点还是挺多的，个人比较烦的一点就是那个头巾小兵，他妈内个比的无限扔流星索，还是回旋的，几乎起来就被甩倒，沙比一样。而且这代敌人你说AI高了吧，也没有，但就是每当你遇到楼梯或者需要跳跃的地方，对方永远都不动搁那守株待兔，等你跳过去或者爬上去就挨一下，虽然也不至于死，但是很搞人心态，感觉很贱- -，再就是面具哥居然不会复原了我草，现在被击败只会变成齑粉留下一个面具，但是没有重塑了！！！要知道，没有重塑过程的面具哥是没有灵魂的。
bgm一般，只有那几首经典的bgm能唤醒你的记忆。
有双打和爬塔，一些人物需要解锁，爬塔有点难度，我感觉3代忍者挺好用的。

双截龙是我和发小儿时最爱玩的游戏，因为双截龙简单又好玩，我们曾经一遍又一遍的通关它。那天买完这一代之后进了游戏第一幕展开的一瞬间，看到小蓝人站在那，然后随便按了几下拳脚，很开心还是原来那味儿，但紧接着就有一种失落感涌上来，因为真的很怀念小时候无忧无虑一起跟他打游戏的日子，那时候没有烦恼，也不用担心动了谁的蛋糕，每天只想着晚上的动画片下了学之后能不能准时看上。如今发小已经结婚，有了自己的孩子，虽然我们还联系，但越来越少，有的时候我想邀请他一起坐坐，但拿起电话又不知道该从何说起，他有了自己的家庭，和同事相处的也不错，他们也许会谈论一些关于工作，关于基金，关于育儿等等的东西，我不知道，因为我依然是个只喜欢打游戏的臭小子，我们似乎已经不在一个圈子了，我想正是因为这样，我才不知道该如何再邀请他“和我打上一盘双截龙”。我真的很怀念小时候的时光。
这款游戏有着挺多问题，不值得全款购买，打折可以考虑。
但他对我有非凡的意义，我愿意给他一个好评。
抛开老套掉牙的剧情不谈，玩起来还是很有味道的。推荐推荐
old school retro fun and a great sequel to a beloved franchise
Jogo bugado, não recomendo a compra
This is not quite the throwback I was hoping for. It looks and plays like a ROM hack of [i]Double Dragon II: The Revenge.[/i] It's okay for what it is, but it's too short and gets repetitive quickly. The music is [i]fine[/i] but the instrumentation sounds more modern rather than something that could be from the '80s or '90s.
Story feels oddly mundane and forgettable; Marian pulls a Princess Peach and gets kidnapped again. The new antagonists, the Okada sisters, have a ridiculous motive to why they're trying to pick a fight with the Lee brothers. Whatever hint of mysticism and supernatural elements the previous games had, they're not here. The climax of [i]Double Dragon II: The Revenge[/i] had you facing a shadow doppelganger and an illusionist who beats you up with the power of gymnastics and '80s flair.
The final bosses are also underwhelming. The only reasons they're a threat at all is because they wield a gun (which they'll constantly spam, but you can easily dodge) and they're surrounded by stronger henchmen. After you beat the main campaign, you can play through it [i]again[/i] with an unlockable character. It's a nice novelty to play as the enemy characters (including Abobo, the Mysterious Warrior and even Chin Seimei and Yagyu Ranzou from [i]Double Dragon III: The Sacred Stones[/i]. But there's not much more replay value beyond that.
If you're a [i]Double Dragon[/i] fan, this might be worth checking out. Otherwise, give it a pass.
As of May 2023, the issue with the game's save data sporadically erases itself has never been patched. The save files were reset twice in one day after I unlocked all the characters both times!!
After the first reset, I backed up the entire "AppData\LocalLow\Arc System Works\Double Dragon IV" folder including the 6 save files and the "Unity" sub-folder hoping this would keep my progress safe. But restoring them after the second reset did nothing, and it even wiped my control settings. This game is good as dead.
童年的回忆
No está mal. Buenos controles, más modos de juego, dificultada suficientemente moderada como para no estar tan baja, sigue siendo difícil como todo Double Dragon debe ser y los nuevos comandos que pese a que no son muy intuitivos, basta con que hagas 3 o 4 partidas para aprenderlos. Lo negativo es que no da la sensación de ser un juego hecho y derecho, parece más bien un Fan Game hecho con Openbor. El estancamiento de los 8 bits tampoco ayuda mucho. Es un Double Dragon con todas las reglas establecidas, pero si hubiese tenido más tiempo de desarrollo y/o presupuesto como para mejorar ciertos aspectos antes mencionados, creo que el resultado hubiese sido mayor que esto.

2.传统横版闯关游戏，本地双人游玩会增加很多乐趣，还可以和2p选择敌方各种角色对打
3.不知道以前的版本能否选择敌人，本作可以选择各样敌人角色进行闯关游戏
4.本作可以轻松放出各种招式，还增加了几个特殊招式
5.闯关塔的设计好评，无奈技术太差，打了近10次，23层止步了，后期两个美女boss没有开出来
6.打击感还是不错的
缺点
1.除了开头的BGM好听之外，游戏整体的BGM并不出彩
2.剧情只是单纯为了衔接关卡而设计
3.整体关卡制作显得粗糙，敌人像凑数一样，缺乏设计创意性
4.本作角色纵向站位设计有问题，角色不能站在最上面，或最下面，因为如果这样站位的话，敌方无法与你站在同一水平线上，他们会在与你错位一排的线上等你，这就导致如果你想碰到他们，就要先移动至和他们平齐，当你刚移动到和他们平齐的时候，对方就会立马攻击你。故事模式没有太大影响，但是在塔的模式，这种情况是致命的。
5.敌方出现的初始位置有问题，有时需要主动到敌方附近，不然敌方不会自己过来找你
6.当使用一些敌方角色进行故事模式时，有些台阶敌方角色跳不过去，会导致游戏无法进行
购买建议
如果你是双截龙老玩家，或喜欢双人游玩的游戏，并且可以接受以上缺点，本作可以尝试。如果你从来都没有接触过这个系列，或对此游戏期望值过高，请三思
游戏整体主观性评分：3分
PS:不知道是不是没有设置好，此游戏无法采用1p键盘，2p手柄的配置。因为游戏已经默认给1p和2p分别配置了键盘和手柄键位，这就导致了双人游戏时按键冲突，1p动2p也跟着动。只有1p和2p同时使用键盘，或者用双手柄时才能解决。
另外本作可以选关，还可以选择在最后失败的关卡无限续关，角色其实是无限命的。而这种设定好与不好就仁者见仁智者见智了，个人比较喜欢强制Game over。

骨折可入。怀旧用，关卡设计觉得有点无聊，而且除了第10关流程都挺短。按Enter可以切换已经通过的关卡不用从头打，通关后解锁塔模式，塔式可解锁敌兵用在关卡模式中。
键盘键位虽然可以改但是初始设定让人找不到北，这点挺劝退的。还有就是第9关的阴间即死平台跳跃。没有云存档。差评伺候。
LLevo un tiempo que he jugado el juego, y veo que es duramente criticado ( y en mi opinion injustamente) este juego rescata la vieja formula que tenia double dragon y que hizo de la serie exitosa, sus graficos retro son perfectamente compatibles con los sprites rescatados del NES, con las consecuencias que esto trae consigo, por que es cierto no todo bueno, o deberia decir agradable, hay fases que para lograr pasarlas se requiere un timing perfecto o tener mucha suerte, y hya movimiento agregados que se ven extraños, pero fuera de ese detalle el juego es fenomenal, el que incluyeran el modo vs del primer double dragon fue un gran acierto, el modo torre es un gran reto para aquellos que han logrado terminar el juego, otro detalle que no a todos les gusta pero a mi me encanto es que los enemigos tengan sus propios movimientos especiales, por que si bien nuestro protagonista es poderoso, no tiene que ser un maldito superheroe, en resumen el juego fue creado para los fans de la saga, por lo que muchos que vean su graficos retro se quejaran al compararlo con juegos como final fight o street of rage, por poner un ejemplo, pero si se olvidan de la estetica encontraran en este juego una verdadera joya que ha sido infravalorada.
不如双截龙2，有些场景无脑堆怪，直接被对面连死。也没有认真做每一关的boss，全是缝合。打击手感稀碎，随便做做就拿出来卖是吧。
This is a pretty well done, and fun throwback to the 80's NES Double Dragon that we all loved, (if you're my age anyway). It has really spot-on controls and retro-graphics, plus is a lot of fun. Note: This is not a throwback to the arcade Double Dragon, but of the NES version. It is deceptively easy at first, but there is a pretty high difficulty spike about half way through level 4. I don't know how may levels there are, but I managed to get to level 9 on my first play through. One thing to note is that you will get swarmed by a large number of enemies simultaneously who will knock you back down when you try to get up. It seems pretty cheap, but I found out a little late that by hitting the "B" button on the X-Box controller upon getting up, you can knock them back before they can hit you. It helps a lot! Great job to the developers of this retro-inspired game. I am having a lot of fun with it.
If you have any nostalgia for the Double Dragon series, keep them, embrace them, and dont play this. Just dont. Somehow the 80s and 90s games PLAY BETTER THAN THIS. Bad. Stick to fighters ArcSys.
Quando a Arc System Works adquiriu os direitos de Double Dragon eu esperei o pior: que ela ia colocar o Billy e o Jimmy no Guilty Gear. Mas fizeram algo muito, muito pior que isso. Gastaram o "4" nesse Double Dragon horrível. O jogo é baseado nos Double Dragon de NES , principalmente no 2, e não nas versões de Arcade,e esse é o grande problema. Double Dragon 4 também é uma mistura de Beat' em Up e plataformas e como no NES, consegue ser fraco como um Beat' em Up e como um jogo de plataformas. Nada se salva nesse Double Dragon 4: cenários, músicas... Os sprites são boa parte reciclados dos jogos de NES ( que já eram ruins na época), Os irmãos Lee parecem dois "Lango Lango" com um braço só. Tem uma conquista que é terminar o jogo com todos os personagens, pra piorar ainda perdi meu save quando já tinha terminado com mais da metade dos personagens, me forçando a jogar tudo outra vez. Esse não tem como recomendar nem em uma promoção, não consigo ver nada de bom nele.

A true homage to all the Nes era Double Dragon! I just wish that they added some DD3 Nes songs to the stages but overall is a good game!
