Beat easily in one setting, the game isn't hard and the gameplay is alright. There's a nice story, I don't really understand what message they're trying to convey (or if there is one at all), but overall it's a fun experience and worth the money if it's on sale. I might go for all the achievements just because it's so short. If I had one complaint, it'd be that the hole lags behind the cursor a bit and it's pretty annoying. The file size is fairly small though and it runs well on lower-end systems.

（省流版：流程短，一周目＋全成就三小时以内；打折的话可以拿下；物品文案有点意思；配乐尚可；手感好；灵敏度可以调节；鼠标玩就可以）挺有乐子的游戏！还蛮喜欢这种画风的，是春促买的捆绑包里的一个游戏。流程确实很短，然后补成就的话最多再加一小时绝对够了，全成就一点不难，就Boss战那里需要耗费一点时间，还有那个大盗成就真的需要查攻略才能知道，别的都只是再刷一遍的事儿。物品的文案很有趣味~是从BK的角度看的吗。每章结算界面那里的音乐听着有点上头~以及公兔子母兔子掉洞里一起会生好多小兔子也太真实了SOS哈哈哈

it's pretty harsh to not recommend this game to be honest but the gameplay loop just gets really repetitive too quickly. there are a few new mechanics that are introduced but none of them felt especially fun to use in levels. the game is really short though so the gameplay being repetitive isn't a huge issue.

I asked for a donut and all I got was a growing hole that eats everything and drops that stuff into the earth that is apparently hollow. Oh yeah, and raccoons are plotting to screw over humans but when haven't they been doing that. The charm and personality is nice and pleasing for its concept. I like this game's simplicity and design but the gameplay is a bit too bland and short for its price. Its fine for a game but there are somethings that just hold it back from being great.

Donut County is a weird little game, and I’m honestly not sure how I feel about it. Is it fun? Yes. Are raccoons awesome? Yes. Did I probably like it mostly because there are raccoons? Absolutely.

The story is pretty simple and the gameplay is very straightforward. There aren’t really any puzzles—most of the time you’re just throwing things into the hole and watching the chaos (the only challange you get from getting some achievements).

It feels like it could be a great game for kids, but at the same time the jokes don’t really feel aimed at kids either, so I’m not entirely sure who the game is for. Some achievements also made me a bit uncomfortable, like one where you have to set someone's house on fire [spoiler](while they're inside)[/spoiler]. I know it’s supposed to be silly and mischievous, but it just felt a bit weird to me. That might just be me being too sensitive though, since I haven’t really seen other people mention it.

I think I'd still recommend it though, just get it on sale. It’s fun, but it left me with a bit of a bitter [strike]burned[/strike] aftertaste.

I like putting random stuff in the hole and making it progressively bigger. It doesn't have to be a complex puzzle to be entertaining. However, I can't recommend the game at full price because it doesn't provide many levels or much playtime in general. Additionally, the humor doesn't land for me at all. I honestly think I would have enjoyed the game more if it didn't have any story or dialogue.

Fumada jugable en el mejor sentido. Un puzzle relajado y original en el que básicamente te dedicas a tragarte el escenario con un agujero cada vez más grande. La propuesta es sencilla pero funciona muy bien y resulta sorprendentemente entretenida.

El estilo gráfico es muy entrañable, la banda sonora acompaña muy bien el tono del juego y el humor absurdo de la historia le da bastante personalidad. Y tiene mapaches, lo que siempre es un punto a favor.

Completado al 100% en unas 3 horas. Una experiencia corta, ligera y muy recomendable para descansar entre otros juegos más largos. Funciona perfectamente en Steam Deck OLED.

The first impression was a brightly coloured polygonfest with confusing perspective and repeated gameplay. I didn't find it enjoyable at first because how simple the design was. And as I played along the story I found it relatevly boring.

[i] So, why the positive review? My first impression was pretty bad, so that means bad experience, right? [/i]
[b]Well... Not exactly. [/b] The more I played it, the more I began to like it. The character design grew on me, the simplicity of the levels became relaxing, the bright colours made the game into the lighthearted experience it became and the story wasn't so bad. I got to replay it a few times because, as it turns out, I found it quite satisfying to just devour everything with a hole on the ground where I am mostly invincible! It was sort of harder to die/lose than it was to win, and that really shows how lighthearted the game is.

[b]Repeatability [/b]
Possible, though it is best as a story you play once and enjoy at the moment. Though, if you're like me and enjoy the wHole idea of making holes, replayability is possible, at least once after completing all achievements.
[i] Achievements [/i]
Not difficult to obtain and the achievements list give you a general idea what to look for. Either way, most are discovered by playing the game normally.

[b] Price [/b]
Get it on discount if you can't get it full-price, either way, it's not expensive, but I wouldn't get it at full price either.

[i] Would I recommend? [/i]
At a discount, yeah. At full price? Only if you have kids, they would love this sort of game, my nephew certainly did. The game is kid-friendly and mostly for everyone. Even grandma can play it.

[i] Generally speaking, play the game if you want something casual or something for your kids. The game is generally easy and teaches you most mechanics as you go. [/i]

This is a weird one. I don't really write reviews but feel compelled to talk about my experience with Donut County. I am a patient gamer with a massive backlog so I resisted buying this for years and eventually got it as a part of a Humble Bundle thing. I was tempted to buy it many times with sales but to be honest I am very glad that I didn't.

The puzzles are incredibly simplistic and offer absolutely no challenge. The story, while filled with neat little characters, just isn't very interesting. Dialogue is filled with bad jokes and the whole thing really hurts the pacing. The game is nothing but puzzles and story. Both are bad but the cathartic enjoyment of watching stuff go down the hole is still there.

Would I recommend it at the price that I got it? Yeah sure but that is like two bucks. It is still rather fun, has a cute art style and will give you a complete experience that you will actually get through in its entirety. It's not looking to steal your time and it would be a great little game to zone out to after a long day or with an altered state.

I am clearly in the minority here but when you can complete the whole game within the refund window there just isn't enough meat on these bones to recommend for anything above a couple dollars. In AUD its regular price is almost $20 and at the time of review it is 70% off and still not at price that I can recommend it.

坏点子浣熊，画风很可爱，整体属于一个从温和淘气坏点子出发的故事，玩法上比较简单，就是合成大西瓜一样，不断合成黑洞吞噬整个镇子，剧情有点像披着童话外衣的讽刺小故事，满是蟑螂的餐厅，不断繁殖的兔子洞和最后的大boss战也很搞，不过流程很短，而且玩法没有很有新意，故事偏向可爱，适合休闲打一下的甜品小游戏。

3.2 hours. That's how long it took me to get all the achievements, blind. And that's only because I didn't see the "levels" button so I did 2 full run-throughs. This game is very short. While the game is briming with character and charm, the length causes me to say only get this if it's on sale.... even though it's already really cheap.

For the dev, maybe a procedural zen mode?
