The Aesthetic
The world is literally made of paper. The trees, bushes, and even the characters have a tactile, crinkled texture that looks like high-end arts and crafts brought to life. You play as Chocomel, a large, energetic dog, and your goal is to help your small human companion, Pinda, finish building a snowman.

DOGWALK es un juego cortito pero muy especial. Desde el inicio se nota que está hecho con mucho cariño, y eso se transmite en cada pequeño detalle. Es una experiencia tranquila, pensada más para disfrutar que para competir.

Gráficamente es precioso. El estilo tiene ese toque artesanal y cuidado que lo hace único, como si estuvieras dentro de un pequeño mundo hecho a mano. Todo se siente muy acogedor y agradable de explorar.

Es un juego sencillo: explorar, acompañar al niño y disfrutar del entorno mientras avanzas. En general fluye bien, aunque en mi caso me perdí un poco con el tema del sombrero y qué debía hacer exactamente en ese punto. Un pequeño sistema de pistas ayudaría a no romper el ritmo.

Unbelievable I thought is this game really this good? Then I played and I became a dog. I was barking in real life, I went to petsmart everyday, and I even got a girlfriend. She's still a little scared of my habit of sniffing where I shouldn't be sniffing but she says she loves me for who I am. Who I am is Dogwalk. I believe Dogwalk created my girlfriend in blender and exported her to my bedroom. Thank you blender and dogwalk for making me the best boy.

Contudo, não é um jogo que vai mudar sua vida.
É como uma história em quadrinhos curta, uma tirinha: é arte breve.
Se precisar de um passatempo descompromissado por uns 20-30 min, este é seu jogo.

Very short and very adorable! The whole game takes about 10 minutes to complete and feels more like a prototype of what games could look like in Blender. That does not mean it's not worthwhile. The art feels hand crafter and is a unique mix of paper cut outs and drawings. Treat this as a 10 minute interactive cuteness experience. Also it's fun to pull the kid through the bushes. Remind me of my own horse-sized dog dragging me through all kinds of terrain.

очень милая и добрая история, прямо как мультики которые я смотрел в детстве. жаль, что такая короткая, в целом понятно, что цель была показать возможности блендера и студия справилась с этим с небольшими касяками в основном которые затрагивают в основном физику поводка, он один раз застрял в моменте с забором так, что я не мог продолжить игру и пришлось перезаходить, но в остальном неплохо. 8/10 мне понравилось, если у вас есть пиздюки, то обязательно посадите их за эту игрушку

"DOGWALK" is an interesting, short tech demo from the open source Blender project, and despite being all "open source", they're charging money for the source code to this, which is a bit on the nose. But I digress. This is not really a full game, more of a showcase to demonstrate what Blender can do as a 3D modeling tool. Well, the assets are nice.
What do you do in the game? Basically you control a dog taking a kid for a walk, you need to look after the kid... hey, it's whimsical and charming for what it is. But it's short, not a full game, and it's got technical issues. If I was reviewing this on graphics alone, I'd give it a thumbs up. But games need to be a complete package.
This is really, really badly optimised, and while Godot's 3D engine is not utter crap like their 2D engine is, it seems the devs here might have been great at modeling but they didn't do any gameplay testing. This will gleefully run your GPU up to 100% and not give you even close to 60 frames even on the highest end rigs. It's also got some basic gameplay bugs... you can get stuck, easily. The controls are at times clunky... this needs a bit of performance tuning and basic playtesting before it's ready for Steam Direct. What's that? They already published it? Damn.
The game is quite short, and can be run through in just less than half an hour. The lack of content here makes it hard to suggest it's worth spending the time to add to your library and download.
The graphics in this game are really quite good, which at least makes the game look more appealing. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. Here, you get a reasonably even match, enough to give this a pass.
Next is pricing and what value this has for gamers.
They have their hand out for a $5 USD "donation" for this as you're expected to give them money from buying empty DLC from Steam... digital panhandling. Like the homeless guys who splash dirty water on your windscreen at the traffic lights. No thanks.
Since free games don't contribute to your game collector badge and other profile stuff, is this a worthwhile addition to your Steam library?
I think you should give this one a miss. Although it's free, your time and storage are valuable resources, and the market is filled with superior options.
At the end of the day, my reviews are intended to help gamers find quality and avoid the dregs (with over 140,000 games on Steam... not all of them are masterpieces). Dog Walk es un juego gratuito desarrollado por Blender Studio, en el que controlamos a un perro de lo más adorable y peludo, que acompaña (o más bien diría que arrastra) a un niño. Se diseñó para poner a prueba las nuevas capacidades de Blender y lo cierto es que el resultado es espectacular.
Nuestra tarea es sencilla: ayudar al niño a encontrar objetos para completar su muñeco de nieve. Para ello tendremos que explorar el entorno en busca de una nariz, de un bastón y de un sombrero. En el escenario hay carteles que nos ayudarán a orientarnos, ya que es fácil perderse y no saber a dónde ir o qué hacer a continuación. Debemos echarles un vistazo si no queremos estar dando vueltas sin sentido.
La jugabilidad se basa en la física de la correa. El perro puede correr libremente por el escenario y ladrar, además de interactuar con el niño en todo momento. Todo el tiempo estaremos atados a la correa, viendo cómo reacciona el crío si vamos demasiado rápido o enganchamos la cuerda en algún obstáculo, dando lugar a escenas de lo más cómico, pudiendo ver perfectamente las caras de cansancio, frustración o enfado del niño al hincar la cara en la nieve o ser arrastrado.
El apartado visual es una auténtica maravilla, con modelados 3D hechos a partir de diseños hechos a mano en papel, con físicas muy logradas y una estética de lo más adorable. Las animaciones están hechas con una tasa de frames menor de forma deliberada, lo que dota a las animaciones de un estilo similar al stop-motion. El equipo construyó cada objeto con maquetas de cartón, que luego pasaron al juego en 3D a través de fotos, dotando al juego de este aspecto tan característico y único. Esta técnica es conocida como "fotogrametría".
Mientras los personajes se mueven con este estilo similar al stop-motion, la cámara y la iluminación se mueven de forma fluida y moderna, lo que genera un contraste que hace que el juego se sienta como un diorama que ha cobrado vida. Si el juego se viera perfectamente fluido a 60 fps, perdería toda su magia. Ese "defecto" visual de los pocos cuadros por segundo es lo que engaña a nuestro cerebro para que creamos que estamos ante un objeto físico.
El apartado sonoro también está a la altura, con efectos de sonido y melodías ambientales muy agradables y acordes a la estética del juego. No hay voces, todo es muy minimalista.

This was a terrible experience - I've barely played for five minutes and I'm already nauseous and incredibly frustrated. What is the friggin point of this game? There is zero information or hints, no story of any kind, and running around doesn't do anything. I didn't manage to find anything interesting and I kept getting stuck in bushes. Not fun.

Oh my gosh, this is the cutest game I've ever played! Its very simple, you are a dog helping a little boy find the remaining accessories for the snowman he's building. I finished it in 26-ish minutes, but I enjoyed it a lot; the ice lake part was probably my favorite! I could feel the team's passion and dedication in the design, animation, and music. I'm also absolutely a sucker for behind-the-scenes stuff so I was really happy when I saw the credits. I would definitely play a game like this if it ever came out, keep up the good work!!

プレイヤーが操作するのは少年ではなく犬の方。
犬が走ると、少年は追いつけずに引っ張られたり転んだり、時には切り株に引っかかることもあるけれど、一緒にお散歩を楽しんでアイテムを見つけ、おやつをもらってハフハフしたりしているといつの間にかクリアできちゃう。
個人的にエンドロールで流れるメイキング映像が楽しかった。
とってもほんわかできるグラフィックはこうして作られたんだぁ！
一定時間操作しなかったときのモーションが特に可愛い。

This is a short adventure that anyone can complete in around 30 minutes.
The player controls the dog, not the boy.
As the dog runs, the boy can't keep up and gets pulled, falls, and sometimes gets stuck on stumps, but if you enjoy your walk together, find items, get treats and huff and puff, you'll complete the game before you know it.
I personally enjoyed the making-of video that plays during the credits.

比较蠢，刚开始不知道在瞎跑什么，跑了几遍了才反应过来要拼雪人。很治愈，很像小时候那两头熊和光头的冬日环境，一下子回到了小时候，好评。
Viele kostenlose Spiele sind relativ billig gemacht und können dann vielleicht mit innovativem Gameplay oder einer interessanten Story aufwarten. Aber selten habe ich ein 15 Minuten-Spiel erlebt, das so hochwertig gemacht ist wie Dog Walk. Umso besser, dass es auch noch wirklich Laune macht und ein wunderbares, kurzes Spielerlebnis bietet.
Das Gameplay ist an sich sehr simpel. Als Hund beobachtet man einen Jungen, der einen Schneemann baut. Aber offensichtlich fehlen dem Schneemann noch gewisse Elemente. Also nimmt das kleine Herrchen den Hund an die Leine und man zieht los und zerrt den Jungen durch eine Winterlandschaft auf der Suche nach dem passenden Zubehör für den Schneemann. Klar, damit gewinnt man in Sachen Gameplay keine Genialitätspreise. Aber für eine Spielzeit von 10 bis 20 Minuten reicht das allemal, zumal sich alles superflüssig spielt und einfach Spass macht.
Dabei hilft die wunderbare Grafik. Ein toller Bonus ist, dass man bei den Credits einen Einblick in die Gestaltung des Spiels bekommt. Und es ist echt beeindruckend, wie viel Handarbeit in diesem kleinen Kostenlosspiel steckt. Und ja, diese Sorgfalt merkt man. Dazu kommen niedliche Animationen und ein gesamter Vibe, der einfach wunderbar gute Laune verbreitet. Und irgendwie ist es fast schade, dass das Spiel nach rund 15 Minuten vorbei ist. Ich wäre gerne noch einen Moment in dieser netten Umgebung geblieben. Aber lieber ein superkurzes, supertolles Erlebnis als eines, das unnötig in die Länge gezogen wird. Von daher wurde hier alles richtig gemacht.
Fazit: Wer einfach 15 Minuten in einer tollen Winterlandschaft mit spassigem und sympathischem Gameplay verbringen möchte, dem empfehle ich Dog Walk von ganzem Herzen. Ein wunderbares Spiel, das ich jedem ohne Einschränkungen weiterempfehle.

It's cute, it's short, I didn't encounter any bugs or other issues. If you're looking for a quick, cosy, cute game to play, I'd definitely recommend this one!<3
Muito bonitinho, mas eu achei a parte do chapéu meio confusa. Eu achei muito rápido, mas como o menino não pegava de jeito nenhum assumi que não era e fiquei mais 20min procurando outra coisa no mapa. No final acabei tendo que ver um vídeo pra ver que era aquilo mesmo. Achei pouco intuitivo. Apesar disso trilha sonora ótima, gráfico lindo, atmosfera excelente.

犬を連れて散歩するゲームです
ゲームの目的としては雪だるまの材料として３つ材料を集めるのですが、
一つはゲーム開始場所のすぐそばにあって、もう一つもわかりやすい場所にあるので
最後の一つを探すので大分クリア時間がぶれると思います
私は４０分ぐらいでクリアしましたが、普通の人だったら３０分ぐらいでクリアできると思います
内容としては、他の人も書いていますが、犬と子供のアニメーションが可愛くて癒されます
ちょっと子供が雪の中に埋まりすぎだろて気もしますが可愛いので許せます
無料で、すぐに終わるので犬好きの人は１度はプレイしてみるのをお薦めします
ちなみに犬を飼っていた人はゲームが始まって３０秒ぐらいは
なんかキャラが動かねーぞと思った人も多いのではないでしょうか？
しばらくして飼い主の子供じゃなくて犬を動かすゲームなのに気づきますよね

제목대로 간단한 산책을 하는 게임. 블렌더로 만들 수 있는 게임이 어떤지 시연용으로 보여주기 위해 진행된 프로젝트라 내용물이 별 게 없다.
나름 발상의 전환으로 개를 조작하는 것으로 하고, 눈사람을 만들기 위한 재료 3개를 모으라는 목표를 던져주지만 재미도 없고 조작감도 좋지 않았다.

Great little game.
Visually very pleasing to look at.
Sounds are also alright.
The kid falling on his nose all time adds to the fun.
Had trouble finding the hat at first due to my night mode (my own fault).
But the kid sliding around it for 5 minutes and not having some kind of bigger radius for when it's near the objective kinda upset me.
Shows what's capable when using Godot and Blender.
I love it!!! my fav game now
