In Earth’s near future, climate extremes, overpopulation, food shortages, and a global pandemic led to nations collapsing and humankind on the brink of extinction. Scientists adopted a means in which the human brain was removed and surgically encased into a robotic armature; a process known as Integration. It was meant to be a temporary solution to an unavoidable crisis. It was a good thing for decades, allowing humans to survive. But some of the Integrated saw this new form as the future of humanity. With no desire to reverse the process, the post-humanist Integrated stratified, calling themselves the Rayonne. Global war soon erupted, and Rayonne forces now seek to hunt down any remaining humans, forcing their integration, and destroying those who don’t share their views.

I really wanted to like this game. The shooting is not bad and the flying isn't too sluggish. The squad controls are passable. Squad members' unique skills can be fun to mix and use.

Here goes nothing: I genuinely, unapologetically enjoy Disintegration! There, I said it. I know the gaming public agreed to collectively hate on this game when it was released 5 years ago, but having played it now, I just think [b]it’s good fun; not amazing, but good fun[/b]. And honestly, I appreciate the fact that [b]the developers tried to do something unusual here, marrying[/b] [i][url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/39630]Aquanox[/url][/i] [b]style vehicle combat with some very basic tactical control elements[/b].

I’ve seen people compare Disintegration to [i][url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/301650]Battlezone[/url][/i]—unfavourably, needless to say. But if anything, [b]Disintegration is to [i]Battlezone[/i] what[/b] [i][url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/6000]Republic Commando[/url][/i] [b]is to[/b] [i][url=https://www.gog.com/game/tom_clancys_rainbow_six]Rainbow 6[/url][/i] [b]. It’s a highly simplified, streamlined and mass-market-ready version of a fairly complex game for nerds[/b]. Except in Disintegration’s case, the devs arguably overshot the goal and [b]simplified [i]Battlezone[/i]’s RTS elements to a point where I don’t think the comparison even applies anymore[/b]; except as a potential point of origin for some of Disintegration’s basic gameplay ideas, that is.

What we have here, then, is [b]a streamlined, easy to play vehicle combat game whose main draw is the fantasy of flying around the battlefield on an anti-gravity bike, giving simple orders to a bunch of grunts[/b] who’re limited to running around the ground like you’d do in any other shooter. In its best moments, Disintegration has you weaving in and out of cover, as you descend to ground level to hide from enemy fire behind boulders and then suddenly fly upwards to get a birds-eye view of the battlefield, giving orders to your troops and taking shots at particularly dangerous enemies crawling along the ground. I’ve always had a soft spot for vehicle combat games and [b]if you’re in the same boat and you don’t mind this game’s tactical elements being extremely basic, then this fantasy alone may be enough to provide you with a few fun evenings[/b].

From that perspective, the only real downside to the game in its current state is that when the devs left it to die, they [b]cut out the multiplayer[/b], so the only content we have here is a [b]12 mission campaign with very little replayability, outside of trying to find collectibles[/b]. At the very least, the devs could’ve allowed us to change our weapon loadouts, instead of limiting us to whatever the game has prepared for each mission.

Ultimately, [b]Disintegration is a flawed, but still fun game with some unusual gameplay ideas[/b], whose main fault I feel was trying to sell [b]AA production values[/b] at AAA prices and trying to appeal to the [i][url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/976730]Halo[/url][/i] crowd by putting Marcus Lehto front and centre in the marketing, when its gameplay is actually far removed from a straight-up first-person shooter like [i]Halo[/i].

And that’s perhaps the worst part of this: If Disintegration hadn’t committed these marketing mistakes, it might’ve found its own audience, outside of both the hardcore action-RTS crowd and the purely action-focused [i]Halo[/i] crowd. And if that had happened, perhaps more developers these days would be willing to take the risk to make another vehicle combat game with tactics elements like this, except better. Who knows, we might’ve even gotten a proper new [i]Battlezone[/i] or [i][url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/38440]Sacrifice[/url][/i] out of it. But as it stands, the lesson so-called 'AAA' devs seem to have taken away from Disintegration’s failure is that the mainstream audience just doesn’t like being confronted with new ideas. So let’s just shovel the next annual iteration of [i]Call of Duty[/i] down their throats, shall we?

Not a half bad port from the toyboxes (consoles). It is original but certainly has little to no depth.

Pros:
- Innovating in gameplay
- Varying missions (types)
- Good (enough) story and actors (luv the Dutch voice actor, what horrid accent :D)
- Graphics and music
- Challenging (on hard mode)

Cons:
- They didn't exploit the innovating concept of the grav cycle.
- No AI, you command a team but they just stick to X distance from you at a standard angle.
- Short.
- Clearly limited due to console compatibility.
- No open maps, restricted paths.

This game could have been awesome instead of nice if it was developed with PC capabilities.

If you are interested i highly recommend waiting for a sale and not buy at full price.

"From Marcus Lehto, the co-creator of Halo" ... just goes to show that names don't mean ♥♥♥♥ in the games industry. Disintegration disintegrates hard ... and not in a good way.

A blend of FPS and RTS, but neither even serviceable.

The FPS portion consists of you hovering at above shoulder height shooting at enemies. With 1 gun per mission. And 1 support gadget, like a healing gun ... that is it. There is no real strafing, no high altitude recon, no sneaking, obviously, no frantic gameplay, because the gravcycle is slow as a snail and the "turbo" to evade is on a long cooldown. So, what you do is just find the nearest healing station and camp it, until all enemies are dead.

The RTS part, on the other hand, is nothing more than you pressing 1, 2, 3 for various squad mate abilities, most of which are "concussive grenade". Then select a target, and curse, because the auto snap-to-target has your grenade hit 1 dude, instead of everyone, because you wanted to target the ground ... it's messy. The only other thing you can do is order your guys to focus on 1 target. Your squad, meanwhile, is on an auto-follow course and always roaming ahead of you, getting slaughtered by the enemies. I can only imagine the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this would be on the higher difficulty levels. You're always going up against 10 to 20 enemies, and your guys will HAPPILY just auto walk over a mine and instantly die. There's nothing you can do, because you can't tell them NOT to do that. They will just move WITH you whenever you dare to move around.

The graphics are ... fine. For a 2020 game that costs 30 bucks (initially it supposedly cost 50, which was basically full price AAA back then, yeah no, never). Sound design is also fine. Animations are pretty bad, though, characters slide over surfaces, lips don't sync at all, yet the game insists on zooming in close during every conversation. The voice acting is fine, the story is ... what even is this? The game begins with the villain "Black Shuck" (the most ridiculous villain name ever) being an obvious villain (black armor, red eyes, torture, ultimatims, etc.), then suddenly "what is wrong?" and you're free and you escape with a bunch of outlaws you supposedly never met before. Then you're crashing and trecking across the land Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship style, before meeting a supposedly blind black human (you're basically a brain in a robot body), who tells you, you can't continue, because that base up there is his, blablabla ... and then you're suddenly in the base, where you can "talk" to your crew, that is, listen to a sentence they have to say between each mission. Oh yeah, Agnes supposedly was/is Black, because naturally every black character in a video game has to do the "uh oh uh" snap and talk like they're from the hood. I don't get forced DEI (which this isn't), but what I get even less is DEI with obviously racist and sexist representation (every black, asian, gay, whatever, they're all just stereo types). She wants her real body back ... to take a long, hot bath. The story has no rhyme or reason. You just move awkwardly through this motionless, silent base, then back to the computer to start the next mission ... and upgrade your crew in between with the most boring upgrades, like 10% more health, yay. Funnily, one of my guys, Coqui, is just fully upgraded from the start. Not sure if that's a bug, but I gotta assume so. Usually, the upgrades are level-gated. And you increase your level by collecting salvage during missions.

Listen, this is one giant mess. I am not invested in the story, because the story is super disjointed and just throws characters at you without any explanation, but we're all friends now? The villain is not really present anymore, at least not in the first 2 missions. And the gameplay of those 2 missions has been EXACTLY the same. Fly along a predetermined route through the level, instead of at least maybe finding your own routes, scouting, then planning your attack ... no, just stupidly fly forwards, then kill the same groups of enemies over and over again. Heal, rinse, repeat. Liste to pointless, boring, and badly written "banter" in between. If one of your guys dies? Who cares, they will instantly resurrect once you get near their corpse (there is a timer), and drop back down from ... from where, actually?! You don't have an orbital facility. You insert via drop ship. Are their bodies just rebuilt? What about their brains? Nobody knows. The characters are just generic templates: big burly serious guy, young cocky guy, black lady with an attitude, timid hacker lady, and so on and so forth. They don't have any personality, they're just shells. Fitting for this game.

Could they develop into something more? Well, not the way the game goes about character development by letting you walk around an empty base between each mission. I don't have a desire to continue, because if you can't spruce up your first hour of gameplay with SOME variety, then maybe you didn't make an interesting game, Marcus Lehto, whoever you are. Co-creator of Halo and creative director of Halo: Reach ... well, THAT game is 10 times better, right from the start. Play that game instead. Skip this one.

To end with a note what they could have done better:
- Fully customizable gravcycle with multiple weapons and support systems (think Freelancer for those of you old enough, or Armored Core), shield, hull, speed strength, etc.
- Fully customizable squad of 4 with full range of options like "hunker down", "hold this area", "flank here", etc.
- Slower, more methodical gameplay
- Perhaps some slight "base building" elements like radar towers, defensive towers, mine fields, etc.
- Better character writing
- Better cinematics
- More cohesive story
- Non-linear approach to missions, maybe even the campaign, like in Crysis 1
- Optional objectives that actually matter and can shape the progression of the campaign, strategic hits to weaken the enemy overall
- More enemy and weapon variety

And so on and so forth. I want to feel like an actual commander who uses his weapons strategically to assist his team, not a bad FPS with occasional team commands that don't really matter.

Finally got around to playing this 5 years after release. The game got a lot of grief at launch for being basic, among other various complaints that made me wait for a patch, and then ultimately forgetting about it. I'm glad I returned to it however. Yes, the game has some shortcomings; basic gameplay loop, simple AI, and a predictable story. However, I ended up loving it. The story is a fun sci-fi experience with excellent characters. The gravcycle flying feels great to fly and fight with, and I got some awesome old school Ghost Recon vibes when managing my squad on the battlefield. The push and pull during combat around environmental objects and choke-points is really fun. Picking where your teammates go, who they attack, and when they used their abilities IN REAL-TIME, while you're fighting as well, is pretty damn cool. When the credits rolled, I had a smile on my face.

I am slightly biased with this game. I met the devs at PAX and spent some time hanging out and talking with them about the game. A really small indie team with a cool vision, which inspired me to have high hopes for the game. I've met the composer (Jon Everest) as well, and love his work. He's created some of my favorite video game scores (check out BATTLETECH, 2018). His music in this game is wonderful as well.

With that said, Disintegration has some cool gameplay ideas and story elements that make its little 10hr sci-fi adventure a fun ride. It relies heavily on its core 'squad RTS inspired' elements and charming characters, and honestly, I'll remember it just for those reasons.

I got it on sale and it was worth what i paid. Interesting concept. You are the pilot of a futuristic hovercraft. You serve as air and tactical support for your squad. You can give them orders and utilize their abilities while you assist them from above. Never really played anything like this but i can only recommend it on sale. Its probably not worth it at full price unless you think you will truly love the concept.

I waited for years for the price of this game to go down. The concept of it intrigued me greatly. Unfortunately the concept is better than the execution in this case.

The gameplay puts you in a hovercar above the action and has you give orders to your AI teammates below. You yourself can also shoot at stuff, but it's always with the same hovercar guns that aren't very impressive.

Graphics wise it's pretty mid, and what story or campaign or personality they attempted to add to the game was really not assembled at all. There's nothing to do in between missions except walk around an empty hangar space.

All in all a very boring time. Did not enjoy. Do not recommend.

Bon alors perso, j'ai trouvé le jeu sympa, plutôt marrant à jouer .
Je ne m'attendais pas du tout à cela ! je voyais ça comme un énième Jeu de tir, mais en fait c'est un entre le FPS et RTS.
Personnellement je n'aime pas les RTS mais là c'est complètement différent.
Bon des trucs chiants :
- On ne choisie pas ses armes, ils sont imposés par le jeu. (C'est la chose la plus pénible de ce jeu.)
- Le scénario n'est pas vraiment développé, dommage l'idée était bien trouvée, j'aurais aimé en savoir plus sur le monde dans lequel ils vivent et surtout sur mes compagnons de route.
- La dernière chose est le prix, il ne vaut pas ce prix là, avec un multijoueur oui mais là...
Perso je l'ai trouvé sur un site bien connu que je ne nommerais pas, en promo à 5 euros, donc la ça va.

Absolutely terrible.

I never heard of this, took a chance, brutal. I read comments about the game being similar to Battlezone. I was a fan of Battlezone 1 and 2 and Uprising as well (good old games that combined FPS with RTS decades ago).

This isn't even close to that. You are on a grav cycle, the POV is so weird, I imagined being on a floating chair or something as the movement speed is extremely slow. You can boost for a fraction of a second then wait 10 seconds for a recharge. You essentially have 2 machine guns strapped to your floating chair, I mean cycle. Like to wait for a boost recharge? Well you'll love constantly reloading.

The AI is horrible. Enemies continually spawn to extend small maps. There is only a checkpoint system (which is fine) but if you quit a level then restart later the checkpoint doesn't save and you have to start over...

I gave it a chance. The slow movement, constant reloads of your own guns and bad AI are too much to make this completely unenjoyable.

1. wenn in der Mission eine Aufgabe fehlgeschlagen gilt muss man die ganze Mission neu starten.
2. wenn das Sci Fi sein soll dann bin ich Gott, man hat einen Gleiter (wie auch immer man das Scheis ding nennt) auf dem sind nur 2 Waffen montiert eine zum Heilen. Manchmal denke ich mir die Entwickler wollen uns Verarschen.

I refunded this title due to abundant invisible walls that undercut your mobility on the hoverbike. After three attempts to flank enemies by flying over a small hill are prevented by running into nothing, I was done.

The art design, premise, and V/O all seem pretty good, but I can't deal with the invisible walls, Vaseline smeared visuals (weird TAA implementation?), and anemic primary weapon early on.

This might not be a bad purchase on steep discount to play what is going to be a forgotten title in the vein of Fracture and Inversion.

[b]~*~2024 is the Year of the Backlog~*~[/b]

Disintegration is a game for people who never got over the five Michael Bay Transformers movies. Whether this is good or bad depends on your view of Bayformers.

It has a fun ragtag group of robot* characters, some nice voice acting and character design, scenic and cinematic views, and mid-to-late 2000s humor. It also has cliches abound, an assumption that players understand the backstory and lore and doesn't wait for them to catch up, a tough female love interest who is essentially there to be tough and female and a love interest, and mid-to-late 2000s humor. Pulling away from the story for a bit (because in the spirit of Bayformers, this isn't really about the story and characters (although its a nice bonus); its about a blazing guns and the big explosions), there's an interesting combination of first-person shooting and real-time strategy; you're assigned guns and a squad at the beginning of each mission and have to adapt to what you have. The gravcycle can feel very floaty (and not in the way it should, considering it does literally float), the guns need to reload way too much, and the squad AI can get confused sometimes...but in general the gameplay loop is very smooth. The game scaffolds its difficulty, easing players in to the truly chaotic battles later on. There's a lot of unseen potential, too; I would have loved to be able to pick and choose how to build my gravcycle or have more options for squad members (which might have been in multiplayer; I don't know, because by the time I got this game that mode had been removed completely). But what we have is what we get.

I, personally, love me some cool robot dudes. I love me some cool robot dudes shooting other cool robot dudes. I kinda wish this game had done better so that we could get a sequel that fixes up a lot of the janky bits (I personally choose to blame Epic and their exclusivity for the failure), but what is there is good. It has that 2007 soulfulness. It has unique ideas that could have used a bit more refining. The overall product is fun and I would say the game is worth it if you like weird shooters.

*yes I know they're human brains in robot bodies and that drives the lore and conflict, we could sit here all day and debate whether a human brain being the only organ in a mechanical body makes it robot or human, but for the sake of simplicity i'm going with "robot"

EASY RECOMMEND AT 10 EURO THIS IS A GEM OF A GAME AT THAT PRICE

This game is a really sad story though and just one of those hard lessons you see in game development as they killed the game entirely within a couple months of its launch

My takeaway from playing this , is that major mistake were made by the management in what they wanted the game to be. It was a small studio with like 30 people trying to make a AAA level title and then selling it at AAA price which of course failed.

For a game like this to succeed I believe you need to prioritize the core gameplay mechanics and AI, then build it up around a solid multiplayer suite and a skirmish modes as all FPS / RTS games do. This is what keeps people playing the game consistently and keeps it alive. Just one hour in playing I think the closest comparison for this game and what Im trying to say would be something like Titanfall.

Instead they chose the put everything into a campaign mode, which while really really cool and as charming as it is, was the wrong choice. Now the campaign is incredibly mediocre and janky, but playing it knowing it was made by a small group of people is actually really nice and impressive. I really do feel bad for the devs honestly, as overall this is an incredibly well made game for the team size. It has got a hub, everything looks clean, it has loads of cinematics, good voice acting, everything is super well designed. It sadly just isn't what you should have prioritized.

No idea what multiplayer was like they shut it down after four months or something so I am guessing it was just bad and poorly put together as a side attraction to the campaign. Probably the main reason they chose to pull the plug as you have the be averaging something like 12 players a month to think it wasn't worth keeping the servers running so fast after launch.

This game could very easily have gained a dedicated following imo and like I said earlier it really is a hidden away gem of a title that could have been so much more than what it ended up being. Also selling this game at 50 euro at launch was a ridiculous choice if it was a game like what I said with just Multiplayer and Skirmish while being in EA for 30 I think it would have succeeded. With the campaign I would say 40 is the absolute limit for the first year or so.

Pick this game up for 10 euro and no more is my final recommendation. Hope the people who worked on it got the chance to move onto better projects since because they really did have some talented MFs cooking in this kitchen.

Disintegration é um jogo com boa jogabilidade, mas muito limitado e limitativo. O esforço da equipa do jogo, acompanhado por nós no Discord oficial do jogo é muito grande e Disintegration esteve a poucas afinações que ser capaz de lutar frente a frente com grandes jogos, que infelizmente não chegarão em próximos patches.

有中文了。fps和rts的融合还算不错。
-核心优点只有一个就是gameplay感觉非常流畅，零重力机移动和武器手感都很不错，高难度也不会很烦人，fps和rts元素的比例设置的很合理，有单独的关卡体验射击，有些关卡给的武器搭配在高难度下突出即时战略的部分，角色的技能也都算有用，这也算是唯一能通关这个游戏的原因了。
-缺点比较明显：虽然总体剧情感觉还算可以，但是角色塑造比较少，事件的衔接和转折也非常平淡，画质和音乐没什么亮点，加上过场cg里自然人的表现实在是僵硬得不行所以很容易给人一种粗制滥造的感觉。有人觉得重复度很高，但是能感觉出来实际关卡设计已经在尽量降低玩家的重复体验，只是在最后几个关卡的敌人种类偏少，而且没有新敌人，加上可能因为经费不足所以不能做到每个关卡的美术风格都不一样，但总体几个大的环境都还不错，十个小时不到的流程不会很枯燥。
-总的来说还是比较值得游玩，但是适合有折扣再入手

No estoy acostumbrado a los juegos RTS, bueno, si es que se lo considera así. Yo lo veo más como un shooter en primera persona desde una nave donde comandas a tu equipo.

Un juego simple, con una historia olvidable y mecánicas sencillas de dominar. No entendí un choto de que se trataba porque se cuenta todo así nomas y deduje que somos como unos robots casi humanos que se fugaron de la ''nube'', una nave espacial que domina el mundo. Y de ahí conocimos a un viejo que nos ayudó a obtener recursos y de ahí se forma una especie de resistencia que lucha contra los malvados por así decirlo. Una pabada total. No tiene gracia alguna.

En tema gameplay, puedo decir que estamos siempre arriba de una nabe o ''gravcycle'' y podemos mandar a nuestro equipo de un lado a otro, tanto para matar enemigos e interactuar con los objetivos, ya que en ningún momento podemos bajar de la nave, lo cual es bastante molesto. Parecería fácil estar alejado mandando a los soldados al campo de batalla, pero la verdad es que es más difícil de lo que suena. Tu equipo muere fácilmente y los enemigos no dudan en dispararte. La mayoría de las veces no contamos con mucha vida y cuesta conseguirla. Hay poca variedad de armas. En cada misión llevas armas diferentes, así que no podes elegirlas libremente (punto negativo). Y también hay poca variedad de enemigos, van llegando algún enemigo grande a medida que avanzamos de nivel pero siempre se repiten. Por lo menos hay un sector de ''habilidades'', si se puede llamar así, ya que no es mas que chatarra que vamos acumulando y una vez desbloqueadas, podemos tener un poquito mas de daño, salud o algun tipo de regeneración para vos y tus aliados. Las misiones son genéricas. Ir de acá para allá. Destruir esto, volver, ayudar a civiles, etc. Las cinematicas no aportan nada y para colmo los personajes intentan ser graciosos y no funciona para nada.

Disintegration termina siendo un juego mediocre y olvidable. No te perdes nada si decidis no comprarlo. Estuve esperando comprarlo en 90%off pero creo que fue cerca de 70%off. Aún así siento que pague demasiado. Puede llegar a ser divertido en los momentos de combate cuando tenemos buenas armas pero nada más. Se siente muy simple y vacío en todos los aspectos. Duración: de 6 a 7 hs en normal. Hubiese estado bueno poder bajarse de la nave, libre selección de armas y modo foto. Estoy entre recomendarlo y no hacerlo. Así que le doy un 6/10.

Grafik ist toll und auch keine Bugs oder Glitches entdeckt.
Das einzige was ich gemacht habe ist, dass ich die Tastaturbelegung geändert habe. Da waren einfach zu viele Tasten absolut ungewohnt belegt.
Die Story ist auch interessant und die Charaktere sind authentisch, wenn man das so sagen kann.

It's engaging enough I guess, sort of like Halo if you were trapped in your vehicle, your regenerating shields stood 50 feet away from you, you couldn't run people over, and every time you missed a grenade throw it felt like the game was poorly programmed. Having a squad that you control while you also move around and shoot can work if there's a hefty incentive to do flanking maneuvers... but you fly so the cover mechanics don't work very well and the aggro mechanics are quite ambiguous so you can't use your pals (who regenerate, while you don't, remember) to pull aggro.

This game says it's an RTS, but I think, if I were to rank all the shooters in the world by how well they scratch the RTS itch, this one probably might not get into the top half. It's not really very strategic as shooters go, and it doesn't really have the veneer of an RTS either... there's two resources you collect for upgrades, but the upgrades don't affect how you play, your loadout is predetermined by mission (actually this bit works alright, makes the missions feel a bit more diverse) and you certainly don't train units or build buildings.

The intro in the campaign is also quite oddly designed. It wasn't until like two hours in that it reveals: there are actually plenty of other weapons for your gravcycle, you won't be stuck with the dinky SMGs forever; and, your enemies are the bad guys. The intro just establishes that your character has a slur for the antagonists, and that people are robots now? Really odd narrative choice there.

To be honest I liked the game, yeah it has its issues but for a new style of hybrid game combining fps with real time strategy I though it was a good attempt. Best advice I could give about the game to those thinking of picking it up is that if you want a change from the usual fps (COD) and rts (SC2) formats give this a try.

Also just go in with the intention of enjoying yourself. If you like it.... Great! if you don't ......then that's fine you still tried something new!

I really wish I could recommend this. I stuck with it longer than most people, and there was some fun to be had in small doses. But aside from the problems mentioned in other reviews, the OTHER issue is a lack of gameplay evolution. By the time you've played 2-3 missions, you've basically seen everything the game has to offer. I kept waiting for it to open up, such as letting me choose my own loadout and team, which would have added interest. Or even just making the levels more complex, with more opportunities for tactical positioning and choices in approach. But it just didn't happen.

(Is it possible these get added even later in the game? Sure, but if so, they waited far too long.)

So it turned into a situation where every mission felt fundamentally the same: Flying through linear corridors, fighting the same enemies in nearly-identical battlefields over and over, with the same aggravating spawn patterns... just with every mission adding more enemies, making battles go on for obnoxiously long, and with fewer and fewer opportunities to heal. So once it got to the point the missions were genuinely difficult, it felt like a pure grind, and there just wasn't enough good about the game to keep me going.

After seeing a short part of this game played I was really excited as I do love the idea of hybrid genres. However after playing this I was left with a resounding "meh" after finished the campaign.

-Your team AI is quite stupid. They don't seem to always obey commands and will do their own thing often getting themselves killed unless you are micro managing them. Which when you are micromanaging them you aren't concentrating on shooting and defending yourself where I faced many frustrating scenarios where I was suddenly surrounded or couldn't see enemies that destroyed me.
-While the environments looked nice, they were difficult at times to locate enemies which had no issues seeing you. I had to keep scanning mode on most of the time just to identify enemies especially on missions at night or forest missions where they hide in the shadows. But you can't shoot in scanning mode which added to the micromanaging I was already doing with the AI team.

I can see the great potential with a game like this but the team AI was the biggest let down for me.

There really should be a "meh" or "neutral" or "mixed" rather than yes/no on recommendations. Some good play, a lot of repetition, no choices on loadout or team, trails rather than open world, cycle handles well and weapons feel about right, fairly difficult on higher settings, running around between bouts to get challenges and dialogue is spread out and a waste of time, you can upgrade the characters pretty regularly, and so on. Catch it on sale and not too bad.

I can not believe that this Game came out from the very same Publisher which also released the iconic and very well made "The Outer Worlds" on the very same Year and worser: at the very same Quartal which is disapointing because i really wanted to love this Game.

[b] But first of all the Question: [/b] Why got this Game never the Promotion which it deserved it to be? Even underrated K-Pop Artist which are not even hitting a Million Viewes on YouTube had more Budget for Advertisement then this Game. Probably they missmanged all the Money to the Outer Worlds since they knew how dead this Game feels like and only probably released so that they have a sweet Tax Write off. I know that this is very mean to say BUT:

[b] The Game didn't even got 5 Months of Update Support [/b] like this is even worser then EA Titles because even those are getting more Updates then those got, and the Updates which it had were so small that even i could do more in a Week then this Joke of the Developer Team called V1 Interactive. Ouwh, and let's don't forget that you also killed the Multiplayer in just like 5 Months instead of maybe, i don't know: Lower the Price from 49,99 to maybe 29,99 or better 19,99 when it was lunched, because yes: It had also buyable Stuff for the Ingame Multiplayer which are completly worthless after that and this is just a Insult for everyone which even tries to develope a Game.

[b] The Story feels dead [/b] like everyone else is in the Game. The Jokes are horrible that i wanted to Rip off my Ears when listening to the not skipable Butscenes, the Music was barely there because they had apparently not even 10€ for a random copyrightfree Music Pack license which you can buy on Fanatical or other Websites and the Main Hub is so dead that i fell insulting the Word "Hub" because you can only talk with the People there, can't give Custom Awnsers nor Running and only going with 1KM/H trough this "Hub" because you need to collect the Quests there. Almost nothing changes in the Hub and it feels like that this "Hub" is rushed because they didn't had enough Time to finish the Game because the promotion for the Outer Worlds were going probably. Ouwh and don't let me start on the horrible Voiceactors because you can feel that this game was created on the lower Budget and you will hear that those Actors aren't experienced at all or rushed it probably because they paid them probably ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

[b] The only one Thing which i like on the game is [/b] the Gameplay which is acceptble and the Graphics are looking decent tho. The Shooting is very satisfying and you get used to the Keybindings very fast but there arent any new Bosses coming after you got to know them all and there is almost no Feeling of that we're in that World and have to survive. It all gives me: "You have 1 Year Time for this Game, here are some Assets which we didn't used for the Outer Worlds, do something with it" and it's sad that this Game feels like this because i wanted to love this Game and even wasted 90 Minutes into it, but this is disapointing.

To everyone which is coming here to try it out: Don't. This Game is garbadge and i have 1650 Games on my Library which means: that my Standarts are so low and that this Game still ruined it. For a Tax Write off was it quite good, but i won't call it a Game because this game is a Demo max.

Disintegration is an unpolished gem. If you want shine and facets and glitter, look elsewhere, but if you enjoy a coloured rock just as much as it's expensive processed version, then you will enjoy Disintegration.

[h1] THE GOOD [/h1]
Everything a game needs is here. You play through a fun story with cutscenes, VO [i](hi Bangalore!)[/i] solid gameplay and sound. There's some lore to discover and beautiful landscapes. Enemies are clear and enemy-like, you have a wide range of challenges, and generally plenty of chances to use all your kit. Everything feels and sounds as a game should and you don't get pulled out of the experience much; though early on your engines and being hit can sound quite loud.

[h1] THE OKAY [/h1]
The directorial playstyle - pointing troops to perform tasks, attack units and use abilities - gives you range and more abilities than you'd have alone, plus a chance to listen to your character's VO. However, it can feel linear and bland and have you pressing E to scan more often than searching the skies. The lack of your character's in-game VO makes replies to you slightly odd. Collecting objectives and speaking to allies between missions feels like a good idea, but ends up only feeling like a glorified menu and could be skipped for gameplay-only players. There's lots of empty space and no way to whip through the task quickly a second time around, like after reloading a save.
While the abilities are fun and impactful, they are often somewhat underpowered - moreso, there are only a few. I'd like to see everyone with something unique that matches their unique looks. Perhaps someone can throw healing auras, so that this isn't reliant on A) your cycle having a heal that includes your cycle and B) nanite containers existing nearby.

[h1] THE EHH [/h1]
Generally, things feel AA - animations are a little dated and some decisions seem half baked. You waste a lot of time collecting very small story lines from characters between games and sometimes have to run to three corners for your challenges unnecessarily. Scrap metal feels useless and wasteful and more so when you have to wait for your units to unlock it for you rather than shooting a bullet to open a box yourself.
The battle director playstyle can be fun but needs more intelligence; a V2 should have units have more "defensive" and "offensive" modes, as well as an understanding of "huddle here and hide, something bad is about to come in" or "i'm trying to make you stand in a healing aura" as you can often direct your units to somewhere only for someone to stand beside or on top of that spot. Targeting something results in all units focussing on it, when in reality units would still shoot other enemies as they approach that target, and can often result in completely ignoring enemies to activate a heal or objective. You should also be able to queue up items; "open that box" then "activate those nanites" then (ideally wait to heal) "attack this guy" then "that guy" then "that one" and lastly "activate objective" rather than having to sit and wait for each one by one. This is all the more obvious when in the range of a scrambling unit which disables your cycle from everything but moving, and you have to vicariously eliminate units in a safe path purely by singular commands.
I'd also like to see units focus less on being where the crosshair is, but stick more to the general waypoint direction - not only would this help a player compass to the right direction, but would avoid scanning the area around you also causing your units to run about in a big circle. This can sometimes give the impression of your on-foot units being faster than a grav-cycle, which itself doesn't feel very fast.
Additionally, checkpoints should be more frequent, and a mention of the last checkpoint should show when choosing to reset so a choice can be made on how far back you're going.
A loadout option would be nice to give you the chance to try different cycles in missions with different weapons rather than what feels random, as well as the option to choose which order your units are in - so that, for example, you can get used to Doyle's ability being on 1.

First off - This is a great game, and I have enjoyed the visuals and the story up to this point. My only issue with the game is in between the missions.. Your character goes and walks up to these static characters that you interact with, and get side missions or something, but there is not a lot going on or that you can interact with. If I were to RP these scenarios - it would make sense - robots do nothing to save energy - especially if they are not tasked - so I guess there's that. This is not a game I would play MP in, but perhaps CO-OP would be fun.

An unique and an interesting game. We need more of these innovative Double-A games.
Disintegration offers a mix of action first-person shooter and tactical real-time strategy. Although the game is more action than strategy feels like it could have benefited from focusing a bit more on either direction. You hover over the battlefield with your flying bike and shoot up the enemies, and then order your team mates to mop up the floor of the enemies you missed and to spawn all kinds of buffs. The controls need a bit of getting used, but once you do only the sky is the limit.
The characters and the world are interesting and the story is passable. Though the game lost some points the moment one character referred to a raccoon as "trash panda."
Fun in short bursts, playing in longer sessions might get tedious.

Disintegration tarjoaa sekoituksen toiminnallista ensimmäisen persoonan räiskintää ja taktista tosiaikastrategiaa. Vaikka peli onkin enemmän toimintaa kuin taktiikkaa, tuntuu kuin hieman enemmän joustaminen jompaan kumpaan suuntaan olisi ollut eduksi. Pelissä leijutaan taistelukentän päällä lentopyörällä ja ammutaan vihoillisia, sekä komennetaan ryhmäläisiä viimeistelemään jäljelle jääneet sekä loihtia erilaisia tehosteita. Ohjaimet vaativat hieman totuttelua, mutta sen jälkeen vain taivas on rajana.
Hahmot ja maailma ovat mielenkiintoisia ja tarinakin on kelvollinen. Tosin peli menetti joitain pisteitä hetkenä, jolloin yksi hahmo viittasi pesukarhuun "roskispandana."
Hauskaa pieninä annoksina. Pitkissä tuokioissa saattaa käydä puuduttavaksi.

I don't remember if I played a demo of this or if I purchased it and refunded it. Either way, I've played it.

But really, it played me.

The game looks cool and I enjoyed the gameplay. It's mixture of RTS and vehicular FPS. You command your squad from your weaponized hover bike while simultaneously babysitting them with bullets. Which isn't too bad but it's far from the "thrilling single-player campaign" noted in the dev's description of the game.

Honestly, the game just fellow hollow and empty. While the combat was enjoyable, I couldn't find myself caring about the characters or the story. What made the game really unplayable for me was the fact that it felt like a beta or alpha build. The home base area was very buggy and the movement was, at best, like trying to ice skate with roller blades. The missions were the most complete part of the experience. I still found myself blocked at times by scenarios that wouldn't load. At other times, I found myself not blocked by things that should block you, like trees or walls.

Original showed to be a tactical shooter similar to BZ98, the final product was nothing of the sort. Only very basic commands can be issued to your squad and the only ones that really matter are when and where abilities are used. The game also doesn't let you select what units you bring or what vehicle you use. Treat it more as a 6dof shooter and it will be more enjoyable. Its too bad that the final result ended in a game that was just alright, as it does have an interesting premise. Worth picking up on a sale but know that only the single player is still playable.

A tavaly megjelent Disintegration példátlan bukás lett, a multiplayer rekordgyorsasággal napok alatt meghalt, a teljes program a feledés homályába veszett.

Pedig a Private Division igényes címek tárháza, szinte nincs olyan, amit ne próbálnék ki szívesen. Ez a játék egy régi stílus felelevenítése, ha valaki anno játszott a Descent sorozattal annak erős flashback-jei lehetnek játék közben. Egy Gravicycle nevű eszközt irányítunk és azzal a föld felett lebegve koordinálunk egy kisebb csapatot, miközben mi is lövöldözünk. A kiképzést követően, a kampányban négy nagy színtér, erdő, sivatag, havas föld és nagyváros térképén teljesítjük küldetéseinket lineáris csőjáték módon.
Sztem a program nem olyan borzalmas, a grafika jól néz ki és nem fagy, a zene tűrhető, a multi nyilván halott, de a kampány egész jó.
Egyetlenegy probléma, amit találtam, a játék nehézségi fokozataiban van. Míg az első pár küldetés legnehezebb módon könnyen letolható, utána van egy pont, a második fejezetben, ahol hirtelenjében lehetetlenné válik teljesíteni egy feladatot, még középnehézségen is. Szerencsére bevetés előtt is állítható a nehézség, de aki kihívást keresne a játékban, az nem fogja megkapni, mivel akkor teljesíthetetlen lesz az adott map, így legjobb levenni e nehézséget könnyűre és élvezni a játékot, s nem a billentyűzetet püfölni.
Nyilvánvalóan sokaknak nem veszi be a gyomra ezt a régi stílust, illetve az egységeink túlegyszerűsített fejlesztéseit, nincs itt szerteágazó skill-fa, vagy spéci tulajdonságok, a pályákon szerzett javakat 4-5 megadott képességre lehet kiosztani és annyi, melyek tűzerő, ellenállóság, stb.
Visszatetszést kelthet még, hogy a küldetések előtt nincs sok lehetőség fegyvert, vagy Gravicycle-t választani, mindig az adott pálya határozza meg, hogy ki tart velünk és hogy épp milyen felszerelést kapunk a járművünkhöz.
Nyilvánvalóan a bukáshoz hozzájárult, hogy a tervezők egy régi vágású koncepció alapján egy rétegstílust akartak a nagyközönségnek eladni, elég magas áron. A mainstream játékostábor 2020-ban már nem akar csőjátékokat játszani, alapvető elvárás a döntés szabadsága és a teljesen nyitott bejárható játéktér.
A közönségnek szüksége van olyan karakterekre is, melyekkel nem egy egyoldalú monológot lehet meghallgatni, hanem rákérdezni bizonyos dolgokra, közelebb kerülni hozzájuk, meg lehet szeretni őket.
Sajnos a Disintegration szereplői nem tudják nyújtani ezeket a játékosnak, mivel ez akkoriban nem volt divat.

Mindenképpen érdemes megemlíteni azt, hogy miután a program multi része bebukott, a tervezők a játékot azonnal átalakították kizárólag Single-Player-é. Átalakult a menü, kivették a játékból az immár használhatatlanná vált elemeket, teljesíthetetlenné vált öcsivmenteket.
Külön köszönet, hogy a játékot az egyik utolsó patch-el elérhetővé tették Windows 7-es játékosok részére is, csupán ez nincs megemlítve a játék adatlapján, mint minimum konfiguráció.

Overall my time in Disintegration was a fun one, however it just left something to be desired in terms of shooting, or the RTS mechanics, I really hope that if there is a sequel to this game that they drastically improve the shooting mechanics.
When I played it MP was completely removed.

[h1]Let's reboot humanity[/h1]

"Halo again!" begrüßt uns Game Director "Marcus Lehto", der zuvor Co-Creator der Halo Serie war - mit seinem Erstlingswerk des neu gegründeten Studios "V1 Interactive". Seine Vision mit "Disintegration" war ein RTS (Real Time Strategy) Spiel draus zu machen, doch was wir nun nach reichlicher Überlegung seinerseits (er war mit dem Konzept noch nicht ganz zufrieden) bekommen haben, ist ein 1st Person Shooter mit leichtem Strategie-Touch - quasi ein Unikat. Leider ist es ein wenig unausgegoren, aber vielleicht für den ein oder anderen trotzdem einen Blick wert.

Worum geht's?
Ungefähr 150 Jahre später als heutzutage ist die gesamte Zivilisation aufgrund des Klimawandels zusammengebrochen. Aufgrund dessen haben schlaue Forscher:innen eine Technologie entwickelt, um menschliche Gehirne in Roboter zu transferieren, sodass der Geist erhalten bleibt, aber der weltliche Ressourcenbedarf sinkt. Dieser Prozess (namentlich als "Integration" bekannt) soll allerdings nur eine temporäre Maßnahme bleiben. Allerdings gibt's - so wie immer - auch eine starke Gegenpartei, die die GESAMTE Menschheit zwingen will sich in Roboterkörper stecken zu lassen. Das gilt es als Hauptcharakter Romer (selbst auch schon ein "Integrierter") und seine Rebellencrew zu vereiteln.
Die Prämisse ist sehr cool und die Cutscenes werden schön dargestellt, auch wenn ich trotzdem sympathischer Dudes nie wirklich eine starke Bindung aufbauen konnte.

Denn Disintegration versteht sich schon als starkes Storyspiel - mindestens VOR und NACH jeder Mission gibt's eine vorgerenderte Cutscene. Sehr vernünftig, da das heutzutage gefühlt relativ selten passiert. Doch durch die Kampagne geht's recht straight - eine Mission nach der anderen. Entscheiden, wo es alternativ hingeht, ist nicht.
Die Missionen können wir in verschiedenen Schwierigkeitsgraden angehen - einmal eingestellt, ist das während der Mission nicht mehr anpassbar. Wenn wir in der Hub-Area zwischen den Missionen auch noch fleißig mit NPCs quatschen, erhalten wir Bonusaufgaben, die uns mehr EXP geben. EXP brauchen wir, um Stufen aufzusteigen, genauso wie in den Missionen versteckte Chips, die gefunden werden müssen, um die Werte unserer Crew dauerhaft zu verbessern.

Am Ende verläuft aber jede Mission gleich:
Wir sitzen als Romer in einer Art Gleiter und steuern in Ego-Perspektive mit dem Fadenkreuz nicht nur unsere Bordwaffen und Heilkanone (zum Heilen der Verbündeten), sondern auch gleich noch unsere Begleiter-Dudes. Wir können ihnen befehlen hier und dort hin zu gehen, mit Dingen zu interagieren, Feinde anzugreifen oder sie einfach zurückpfeifen. In der Regel laufen sie aber IMMER dorthin, wo das Fadenkreuz hinzeigt, was latent nervig sein kann, da sie sich manchmal zu früh ins Getümmel stürzen oder in Minenfelder laufen - wobei es auch hilft, da sie natürlich immer in der Nähe sind.

Jedenfalls läuft jede Mission gleich ab: Rumschweben/-laufen, viele Gegner umnieten, sich gelegentlich heilen, manchmal tote Kameraden einsammeln, die dann wieder schnell respawnen, sich hinter Objekten vor Beschuss verstecken und so viel wie möglich umnieten - gerne auch mit der einen Special Fähigkeit der einzelnen Dudes (Granate, SlowMo, Megabodenschlag usw.). Das suggeriert taktischen Tiefgang, doch die Möglichkeiten sind sehr überschaubar und im Prinzip wird das Gameplay immer und immer wieder wiederholt, sodass man nach dem erfrischenden Einstieg nach 2-3 Missionen bereits alles gesehen hat. Es kommen keine neuen Features mehr hinzu und die großen Feinde entwerten sich selbst, indem sie zunächst als Endboss auftauchen und dann zu regulären Bulletsponge Zwischenbossen werden, die immer und immer und immer wieder auftauchen - und mich dazu animierten den Schwierigkeitsgrad in der letzten Mission (!) runterzuschrauben, damit ich einfach zackiger durch komme.

[b][u]Bottom Line:[/u][/b]
Es fehlt ein wenig an Innovation und nach soliden 8h ist das vielversprechende, aber doch recht ernüchternde Ballerspektakel schon wieder vorbei. Es fehlen die taktischen Möglichkeiten und die kreativen Missionsaufgaben. Die Ansätze sind alle gut - die Story inklusive professioneller Präsentation vor allem. Aber es herrscht viel Luft nach oben. Dass Disintegration beim Metacritic-Score irgendwo um die 60 liegt, wundert mich nicht ganz - auch wenn ich eine knappe 70 gegeben hätte. Kann man bei Interesse mal reinschauen, da das Konzept und die Story schon recht unterhaltsam sind.

It is a grind galore. Strapped to the dam bike all the game, no break from it once. the bike is slow like hell. Team throws itself to their deaths. No way of choosing bike setup (weapons, perks, etc.). Only 2 slots for weapons (in other games you can use at least 3). Repetitive as hell. NO replay value. I simply don't know how I manage to finish this thing.

Un jeu un peu plus original que le FPS classique, des déplacement sur 3 axes étant données que vous êtes sur une espèces de moto volante.
FPS avec un peu de gestion de troupe puisqu'il faudra donner quelques ordres à vos trois compagnons (Très léger.)
Je recommande le jeu pour encourager la créativité, l'univers sympa et le système de jeu.
Malheureusement j'ai l'impression que rien est assez approfondie dans le titre. Pas assez de gestion des troupes, pas assez de possibilités pour leurs évolutions, gameplay pas assez poussé.
On dirait un gros prologue pour un jeu plus ambitieux. Cependant il s'agit apparemment d'une équipe réduite et la performance reste à saluer.

Je recommande tout de même. Ah bas prix plutôt.

Poor level design leads to cheap deaths.

The graphics are okay and the shooting is fine. There's upgrades available for you and your team.

But here's the thing. Enemies often just beam in on top of you and sometimes there's nowhere to go. Also, your units are pretty fragile and kinda stupid. I didn't feel that I was really making much in the way of tactical decisions with my units, just hitting the specials of my units when they become available but a lot of the time, you are just exposing your fragile units to be shot down.

I tried to like it but felt that the game was working against me.

Very fun little shooter. Too bad multiplayer didn't take off. Campaign is worth a play through and gameplay is fun all around. Definitely has me wanting more.
Had some issues with UE4 crashing on me which caused me to have to restart some missions. Could really use a way to save progress within the mission to deal with crashes - then they'd be no issue at all.

Fun on the lowest difficulty. No way am I going back in a second time tho to max out my stats, achievement hunt, or finish the objectives I missed. There should be customization, obviously there were better pre-made loadouts, but if the different pieces could be upgraded individually that would be a fun grind.

Also gave me Star Citizen vibes, like this is how SC ground combat should look, the ships looked similar too. Also Transformers, obviously.

Zig Jahre nach [i]Uprising: Join Or Die[/i] und [i]Battlezone[/i] ([i]'98[/i]) und [i]2[/i] endlich wieder ein Echtzeit-Strategie-FPS-Genremix! Dieses Mal sogar federführend vom Master-Chief-Schöpfer Marcus Lehto‼
Aber leider ist auch dieser Versuch – zumindest finanziell – wieder voll danebengegangen: Das Spiel ist vor einem Jahr veröffentlicht worden, bekam eher durchwachsene Kritiken vom Gros der Spieler, aufgrund niedriger Zahlen dieser, wurde der Multiplayer nach knapp fünf Monaten abgeschaltet und das Studio V1 Interactive Anfang/Mitte März geschlossen.

Es ist nicht so, dass ich mir solche Spiele aussuche, aber diese Underdogs (mit Ansage?) – mit dem Herz am rechten Fleck – mochte ich irgendwie schon immer. Mein Eindruck, den ich vorm Kauf des Spiels hatte, hat sich bestätigt: Es ist dieses Liebhaber-7/10-Projekt im hochwertigen Double-A-Gewand, dem ich gern knapp 11 Stunden meines Lebens gewidmet habe. Viele fragen nach neuen oder wenigstens frischen Spielideen, aber wenn sie da sind, werden diese kaum oder nicht gewürdigt. Schade.

Da man selbst auf dem mittleren Schwierigkeitsgrad mit Maus und Tastatur ordentlich gefordert wird, kann ich mir kaum vorstellen, wie das im hektischen Befehls- und Ballerdickicht mit einem Controller auf den Konsolen aussehen soll. Was vielleicht auch ein Punkt für das eher miese Abschneiden in der Gunst der Käufer war...

This was a great game. The game mechanic was a unique take on squad management. The story was was exciting. The squad mates were well designed, with each having a lot of personality and style to them. I cannot figure out for the life of me why it doesn't have higher reviews. This is not the deepest lore, or longest campaign game you'll ever play, but it doesn't try to be anything more than what it is, but it also isn't any less. The gameplay is fun, the story is fun, it doesn't have any bugs. 10/10 at being a game.

Meiner Meinung nach ist das Spiel sehr spaßig und es macht einfach Spaß Gegner mit seinen Bordkanonen abzuschießen. Im höchsten Schwierigkeitsgrad ist auch taktisches Vorgehen wichtig. Die Kontrolle der Bodentruppen ist toll, da man sich nicht dauerhaft darauf konzentrieren muss und die Fußsoldaten meist in Richtung Fadenkreuz laufen. Für mich ist dieses Spiel der Beweis dafür, dass eine Mischung aus FPS und RTS funktionieren und perfekt ineinandergreifen kann ohne einen der beiden Kernaspekte (gunplay und Kommandieren) vernachlässigen zu müssen.

这个游戏让我清楚认识到，steam的综合评测还是要相信的，褒贬不一果不其然，不该对什么”光环的联合创始者之一“这种噱头抱有期望。。。

优点方面：画面中等偏上，机甲和肢体改造的未来风格，融入即使战略的fps，可破坏的场景因素较多且效果不错。

缺点方面：游戏的整体枪械系统，改装系统都让人觉得无聊，优化存在问题，2080s显卡会出现时不时的卡顿，最大的问题，剧情让人莫名其妙，背景交代非常少，我完全不知道反派为什么是反派，正派为什么是正派，从而让人缺乏故事的代入感

Yet Another Game with Potential

I don't know if I can chalk it up as greed or failure or just a lack of community interest or a lack of a good advertising campaign. For me this was yet another game that ceased to exist shortly after its version 1.0 release. The single player was filled with pretty deep strategy and a good challenge. The idea of the game itself was fresh and unique. The multiplayer was a lot of fun and super competitive. The gameplay was different and fun while also having a bit of a learning curve. I don't know if I can recommend this game because for me its bitter sweet. The loss of multiplayer and essentially a "dead game". It hurts me to say that, but all I can think about is that once promising and now dead MMO Rend. Shortly after its 1.0 official release it too lost multiplayer and died. It was a tragedy and so is this. I dont want to put a thumbs down because the game itself wasnt bad, but its hard to put a thumbs up on something that doesnt exist. Steam needs a "meh" option for something like this. For now we just remember what was and what could have been...

Je dois dire que si Disintegration n’est pas un jeu que je garderais en mémoire pendant longtemps. Il reste un essai correct pour le premier jeu de V1 interactive. Il a tout du projet trop ambitieux pour la petite équipe qui l’a développé. Les choix de game-design ou de level-design sont discutables puisqu’au final, le jeu fait très vieux sur certains points. Malgré sa réalisation plutôt carré au niveau technique. C’est clairement le genre de projet qui manquait de moyens. Evidemment, tout n’est pas à jeter, mais Disintegration n’est pas un jeu marquant.

Неплохая идея и вроде бы неплохой поначалу сюжет загублены бездарной реализацией. В первой же миссии, на рекомендуемом уровне сложности (3/4), доходишь до очередной базы - враги на ней не кончаются: сколько ни перебьёшь, появляются новые, а по заданию надо перебить всех. Я не знаю, баг это был или у меня не хватило терпения, но на сюжетном уровне сложности (1/4) они закончились без проблем. Выходишь из игры - теряется весь прогресс миссии. В итоге, на уровне 3/4 это просто неиграбельно (если в первой миссии было такое, то играть дальше без нормального сохранения вообще не тянет), а на уровне 1/4 всё превращается в совершенно бессмысленную постоянную стрельбу - никакого стимула играть тактически и использовать союзников по максимуму нет.

[b] Обновлено [/b] Всё-таки баг - после перезапуска на уровне 3/4 врагов в том месте надо было убить раза в 2 меньше, и они закончились. Но дальше... Вторая половина первой миссии, вся вторая миссия и почти вся третья - без проблем. Но в конце третьей - огромная круглая арена, на которую со всех сторон идут бесконечные волны врагов, в том числе и летающих, а тебе ещё надо стрелять по каким-то генераторам, которые не всегда доступны. Захотел попробовать на следующий день - проходи всю миссию сначала, а это где-то час на уровне сложности 3/4. Такого хамства и неуважения ко времени своих покупателей я ещё не встречал. Даже бесплатного трейнера с бесконечным здоровьем нет - кому он нужен, этот бред? И с возвратом средств я опоздал. Остаётся порадоваться, что после феерического провала продаж этого идиотского куска говонокода выпустившая его студия благополучно подохла - туда ей и дорога.

There's a great game in here somewhere... but I can't seem to find it.

I admit, I had pretty high hopes for this game. It appeared to be a pretty interesting and creative game that featured a unique blend of FPS and RTS gameplay, two genres I really enjoy. And it wasn't a [i] bad [/i] game per say, it was just very... limited. Since I have mixed feelings about the game, I'll give a breakdown of what I thought was/wasn't done well, and ultimately why I decided to leave a thumbs down:

Pros:

[*]It has an engaging story/narrative, this was probably my strongest incentive to play through the campaign.
[*]Good graphics, even on medium settings.
[*]The game is very well polished. I never encountered any glitches, frame drops, or crashes.
[*]There are plenty of likeable characters with good voice actors.
[*]The core gameplay is pretty solid. It's especially fun when you get to use some of the interesting mid/late game weapons.

[*]The game is unnecessarily restrictive, in my opinion. Before you start each mission, there's a briefing/loadout screen, only you don't get to choose your weapons. Or your Gravcycle. Or which of your squad-mates go with you (although, this last one could be justified for plot/narrative reasons). It's all pre-selected for you depending on the mission, leaving you with almost no agency in this regard.
[*]The world looks vast, open, and begging to be explored despite there being invisible walls EVERYWHERE. If you veer even somewhat off the path the game intended, looking for easter eggs or secret loot stashes perhaps, you will be met by nothing but the world boundary and disappointment.
[*]Despite being part RTS, it offers very little in terms of strategy. When you issue a command to your squad, you can only issue it to [i] all of them at once, [/i] meaning your squad can't do more than one thing at a time despite being, well, a squad. On top of that, there are only 4 commands you can issue: Move, Attack, Interact (with objects in the world), and Use Ability (albeit, this command can be issued to individual squad members). And they can't execute two commands simultaneously, meaning if you tell your squad to move to a certain position and then attack, they will move to the position and then immediately abandon it to charge in and attack directly.

The saddest part of it all, and ultimately why I decided it deserved a negative review, is that it seems the devs are completely giving up on the game to the point where they're not only discontinuing updates and patches, but [b] outright removing the multiplayer mode all together. [/b] It's a shame to see so much potential go to waste.

Guarda menomale che l'ho ricevuto gratis altrimenti ci sarei rimasto una schifezza ad aver speso i miei soldi per questo gioco. Graficamente non è male, le animazioni nemmeno, ma è proprio il gioco in sè, il CONTENUTO, il problema.

Partiamo dal fatto che la storia e il protagonista sono un qualcosa di talmente anonimo e PIATTO che se avessi la copia fisica di questo gioco la userei come frisbee.
Poi il gameplay si presenta come quei giochi dove comandi alleati e ste cose qui, si, però FATTO MALE. Perchè p(o)rca putt(a)na seguono TUTTI un solo e unico comando, non che tipo magari a un alleato vuoi far fare un'azione e ad un'altro fai fare un'altra cosa, NO, se uno è ferito e lo voglio far indietreggiare si spostano TUTTI.
Cutscene infinite dove non si capisce un cazzo e missioni tutte uguali, dove devi solo andare avanti, sparicchiare qua e là, liberare la zona, poi di nuovo andare avanti. CHE. PALLE. Mi sono rotto il cazzo dopo 20 minuti, non so nemmeno come ce le ho 4 ore su sto gioco. Ah, il multiplayer poi... VUOTO AL DAY ONE. Dio mio ma come cazzo si fa...

Sentite, co sti 30 EURO, perchè si il gioco costa 30 euro, andatevi a fare una bella cena ad un ristorante, che è una spesa che vale sicuramente di più.
