Game is relatively fun, however the fact that the game does not use proper English is incredibly distracting. It keeps using the word "dice" instead of "die" when referring to a singular object.

A wonderful game. It is a really good way to introduce the different aspects that might come from roguelikes and still give a high level of challenge. I really love all of the aspects that went into this game. The level of challenge for all players, the ability to set your own style of challenges and the way that the game has suggested challenges to complete really gives you a large amount of play options.
I like Slay the Spire, but I love Dicey Dungeons. The dice mechanic takes a second to get the hang of, but then you'll want to keep playing just to see what kind of run you get next.

Difficulty curve and game length are just right to keep you coming back for more.
Doesn't matter how well you play when the game will decide to screw you out of damage and then give the AI extremely high rolls three rounds in a row to obliterate you. The worst part is that I was one damage off of winning after three hours trying runs with the robot even with the game actively screwing me by not giving me double damage on jackpots and also not giving me the correct damage. Instead of doing 16 damage on a double 6+2, it calculated my damage as 5+2 and didn't even double it. Multiple rounds in a row. Absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥ me out of a win from a lot of hard work even getting to the boss to begin with. This game is absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ don't buy it if you don't want to be infuriated by a buggy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mess.

Firm no from me. There are a few things someone could chose to rate a game on, but for me this game was frustrating and not fun. I like the art style and the game concept seemed solid but in practice it hardly felt like I was playing this game at all. I'm glad this game found a community but the full asking price for this is actually ridiculous for what you get.
Deck builders and dice games are all built around randomness, I think the difference between a good and bad game in the genre is when the mechanics allow you to fight against the randomness in some way. When done well you can end up with situations where you get terrible rolls but still rip victory from the jaws of defeat. This game gives you double the randomness but absolutely no way to deal with it, in the end you fell like you have no control at all.
The first randomness is the dice obviously. The dice that can be used in any given piece of equipment are limited, some only take odds, others only evens, some will take dice less than 3, others can only take a 6 and nothing else. This seems like it could add strategy but it has 2 scenarios. First you get a decent roll, this will have you toss good dice into good equipment and continue down the line until you're dropping the garbage into whatever is left. This actually means most fights play the same. The other scenario you roll complete garbage and some of your gear can't even be used on a given turn. On witch (generally considered the worst character) I ended up with 2 spells that required even dice and 1 spell to re-roll a die and rolled 5 odd dice. I then used the spell that let me re-roll only to roll another odd. This meant my turn was basically forfeit and I just had to move on and soak a free hit from the enemy.
The second randomness is the gear you get. Aside from starting gear most gear comes from chests, you'll also get some pre-determined gear options at specific level ups. Most characters can wear 3-6 pieces of gear (6 slots, some gear takes 2 slots). Since you start with maybe 2 pieces this means you're first 2 floors or so will just be you grabbing whatever the chests decide to drop with no strategy to be had. Later on you can swap for other drops you get or you can buy gear from the store but the store only offers 3 options not all of which will be gear. There is also a trader that sucks and will offer you some of the worst trades in existence, and a weaponsmith that will offer you an upgrade to a single weapon. This all leads you feeling like you're not making a build so much as trying to assemble trash into an operating combat style. With 6 slots you're probably not going to manage to find any real synergy between items, combined with some items being pretty bad, most heals and armor options not even countering one turn of what the enemy will do to you, and the fact that enemies have custom builds that DO have synergy. There's just no feeling of control.
Further on the lack of control, the enemies are random but you'll find the same ones constantly. Their gear is set and will usually leave them completely hosing you in attrition fights so I found the best option was to just go all out on damage. There's even a screen shot on the store page of the loud bird which will dodge your attacks, disable your special, and weaken 2 of your gear items and will roll well enough to do it basically every turn. There's also an illusion of choice for the maps, some enemies are on paths that you don't necessarily need to go down. Except you 100% need to fight every enemy. There are just enough enemies in one run to reach the level cap, if you skip even a single enemy you won't level up right before the last boss which risks you going in with missing hp. The game is balanced around level ups giving full heals as well, you'll just be slowly ground down by fights, you just need to make sure it's slow enough that you hit your next level up before you die.
The last issue I'll mention is the status effects. Enemies can really stack these on you and you can barely use them at all. Shock locks a gear piece and requires a die to remove, for you this really chunks away your survival/damage, but enemies will roll enough dice that I've almost never seen it change the way they attack. Ice will lower the highest dice roll to a 1, but for some enemies this can actually help them use their gear. Weakness lowers gear effectiveness and can even add restrictions (for example a piece that normally requires any even die may only take a 6 when weakened) but most of the time the enemies would just roll what was needed to bypass this anyway. I don't think players can apply silence, enemies just get it to lock you out of your limitbreak. The only conditions I've found consistently do well against enemies is lock (stops them from using the dice at all) and poison (does damage every turn). Poison ignores block which is another reason I found trying to block damage or heal not worth it.
Actually a nice little bonus, I'd lost a few runs in a row using Robot because I was just getting trash rolls, so I looked up a video on tips for using him, and the video I found had the guy explaining how to use him well die on the second floor. It's all just so luck dependent I couldn't even be bothered to play it through.

Dicey Dungeons really drew me in with its colorful cartoony art style, and the fact that I could play what seemed to be a unique roguelike that's not too dark or sinister for my taste. I got hooked pretty quick off the start!
It's really gratifying trying to make optimal choices as you progress through each episode. There's a good amount of strategy involved in the gameplay, with a lot of random chance. I like the battling layout that's easy to read and place dice onto. Plus, the characters are pretty amusing. :) It's a fun game, with a lot of variety. I'm looking forward to playing the bonus episodes!
I don't think it's too difficult after getting used to the game, but there was a solid week I spent trying to beat a certain episode. :/ I eventually realized it's possible to quit a battle to title screen, then return to the run to retry a battle - saved a lot of time after that!

This was the first deckbuilder I bougt and keep going back to. Cute art style, interesting mechanics that are easy to figure out and provides lots of fun.
I am impossibly divided on my thoughts on this game. I originally did not recommend the game, But as I close in on the last bit of 100%ing it, having finally gotten past the last major hurdle, I will recommend this game, BUT just be prepared for what you're getting into.
The game, naturally, has an enormous focus on RNG and your ability to adapt and make a build around it. The game is segmented into many challenges per character. Most of them function well and are really excellent. It's a quality romp. HOWEVER. When it's bad, it's insufferable. As the number of 'builds' predicated on the number of equipment, can be such a small pool that the run becomes effectively solved until the last floor or 2, and so you just run until you get a winning hand.
These few striking blemishes, make it hard to recommend, if you're dead-set on beating the game 100%. It has excellent ideas, and makes a really unique problem solving loop akin to a card game. Play it, enjoy it, but don't be dead-set on completing everything.
It's not the best rouge-like out there, but it's a very unique and fun experience worth giving a shot.
TLDR: Unique puzzle-esq. rouge-like but take the later challenges with a LARGE grain of salt.

You figure out what is going on a bit too quick, there isn't that much depth or actual variety with the builds, once you have your "winning strategy" it's just what you do all the time. Equipment slots too few to really experiment or create crazy strategies, and that really hurts the game. In other roguelike games that don't have that much build variety, there is at least the enjoyment of the moment to moment combat to keep you entertained. By being based around dice this game does not have that (at least for me) you roll, see what you get, and then do the optimal thing, almost no real decision making. Making a slog of a game. Not "bad" but definitely not as good as others will have you believe.
I really liked this game.
Initially I heard about it back when it was just an idea, then when it was released, but I only started playing it during Spring 2024. And then took a couiple of very long breaks, occasionally revisiting this game. Only now I found the time to actually finish it. Good think by now I already completed about 80% of the game.
here’s what the game is about:
- six characters, each has six chapters + one final chapter + bonus episodes (3 chapters in halloween special and 6 in reunion)
- the game functions like a sort of card game, but you use your dice as mana
- every character has a set of rules-mechanics, unique to them (e.g. Witch has only four slots, but she can learn six spells and assign whatever to any slot at any time, Inventor can use new gadgets every turn, Robot has a limit on total sum of dice values, etc…)
- each episode has 6 levels in the dungeon, with the boss on the final level
The more appealing part starts when the mechanics change for every character. Or when you find out small funny details in interactions, like you can not only steal enemy equipment, but also use it to turn yourself into a giant cubic bear.
This sort of details makes the game really fun to play.
But if up until now it was a fun and solid game with a very thought through gameplay loop, beautiful visual style and great soundtrack from Chipzel, solid 8/10. I really enjoyed Robot, Thief and Jester runs especially.
But it’s Halloween Special and Reunion chapters that up everything to the next level.
In these bonus chapters the rules are completely changed or turn into something familiar, yet unexpected: Warrior gets permanent buffs from workout plans, Witch practically gets puzzle mode, Inventor gets unlimited cards, but each type of cards is limited to 3 uses. These bonus chapters were so much fun that the game is 9.5 out of 10 for me now.
And it also inspired me a lot.
So far im enjoying it. will need to play further though.
There's some QoL things I'd like (particularly being able to look at my equipment and backpack in most upgrade/treasure/shop screens), and sometimes a run feels a bit railroad-y. But beyond a few small grievances, this is a very cute dungeon-crawling roguelike deckbuilder. Cute art, a diverse set of playstyles are available, and good humor to boot.
A major plus: there is a TON of content, so if you play it like I do and play for a round then set it down, you will have a ton of content to sink your teeth into over a lot of time

每个关卡每个角色都通了一下,角色体验参差不齐,有的角色拿不到key牌体验就牢了,拿到了体验就起飞,感觉深度不是很够,敌人低难度还是挺休闲的,高难度就有种数值的美了,有的处理不好牢到死。新增的几个模式体验感觉很有诚意,角色玩法都变了,拓展做的都不错,但缺点很本体也差不多,感觉史低休闲一下还好吧。

Where to even begin with this roguelike/roguelite hybrid of a game... Honestly, its quite a fun game that presents unique challenges although some of the mechanics for characters involve some interesting strategies that are tricky to fully grasp at first. Definitely brings something different to make it stand out a little more in this niche.

It's a pretty good time.
Originally played this game on Apple Arcade and then completed the DLCs here on Steam. I thoroughly enjoyed this game! There are some great mods out there for this game too, which is where most of my hours here on Steam come from.
Lore isn't really a major part of this game or anything, but the writing is quirky and charming. Reunion got the biggest chuckles out of me. (Reunion & Halloween have great gimmicks as well, with more puzzle-y elements I personally enjoy a lot!) The artwork grew on me overtime.
I'm not usually one for roguelikes or deckbuilders, but this game manages to make it very appealing and accessible! It's not too difficult, with most episodes being completable on your first try (at least in my case). There were only a few episodes/achievements I really struggled on, and even then, no episode surpassed 10 losses. That being said, it's not like this game is a walk in the park-you still need to think and strategize, especially as you progress further. It's simply fun.
NOTE: One of my friends told me how to "save scum" early on, so I frequently made use of that as I played this game. It didn't take any enjoyment out of it for me but playing this game without save-scumming is a small challenge itself. Of course, even if you reset a battle, if you did not make good decisions prior to the battle, you will likely still lose. So, it's not an insta-win button.

アイデアやシステムは工夫されてる感じで高評価が多かったので購入したが、実際にやってみるとバランスが悪くて面白くなかった。サイコロの運要素が面白味のはずなのに相手の出目はほぼデキレで、6分の1の欲しい数字を当たり前のように出してくる。接戦で負けて、悔しいからもう一度やろうという感じにはならず、敵の出目にうんざりしながら体力を削られ、運が悪ければ負けてゲームオーバーって感じです。敵のデッキの調整が難しかったのかもしれないが、やはりサイコロの出目はランダムじゃないと・・・。

Played the heck out of this game on PS5 before getting a Steam Deck. Had to get it on here too! I adore it and it's great fun!
I adore this game. After I finished it I hoped to get into other deck builders but none grabbed me. Dicey Dungeons ruined me. I reset the game and am playing through a second time. 103 hours in and I'm still hooked. I got it on sale and actually wish I had paid full price to support this amazing game!
A great introduction to roguelikes.
Amazing game. All the characters have their own mechanics and they're all super fun to play (my favorite is [spoiler]Jester[/spoiler], with a good build you can get a really great flow built up with their limit break). The bonus levels even introduce new mechanics that are also really fun. Combined with the great soundtrack and Dicey Dungeons is just really, REALLY fun to play.
As you might guess, Dicey Dungeons relies very heavily on RNG, so if you don't like luck being a big part of the game, this probably won't be for you. As far as I can tell, the rolls are fair except in a very small number of obviously scripted scenarios, but fair dice rolls won't always work out in your favor, especially if you're running an inflexible build that relies on getting certain rolls.

It's fun, it's charming, and it feels fair-ish most of the time, but I lost interest rather quick.
Die ersten Runs machen unglaublich viel Spaß – eine gelungene Mischung aus Würfelspiel und Roguelike. Jeder Charakter besitzt eine eigene Würfelmechanik, die extrem kreativ umgesetzt ist. Dadurch freut man sich jedes Mal darauf, einen neuen Charakter auszuprobieren und dessen Spielweise kennenzulernen.
Das Kampfsystem ist sehr taktisch aufgebaut: Man verfügt über eine Art Limit Break und muss die gewürfelten Zahlen sinnvoll einsetzen, um Schaden zu verursachen oder zusätzliche Effekte auf Gegner anzuwenden. Außerdem kann man sein Inventar im Laufe des Spiels verbessern und anpassen, was zusätzliche strategische Möglichkeiten eröffnet.
Leider wird nach dem erfolgreichen Durchspielen mit einem Charakter ein zweiter, deutlich schwererer Run freigeschaltet. Genau hier liegt für mich das größte Problem: Man erhält Debuffs. Im zweiten Run zum Beispiel kann der Status „Verflucht“ auftreten, wodurch eine Aktion komplett ausfällt und sowohl der Würfel als auch die geplante Aktion für die Runde verloren gehen. Das empfand ich als extrem frustrierend und hat mir persönlich viel Spielspaß genommen. Zufallsfaktoren in stark taktischen, rundenbasierten Spielen funktionieren für mich einfach nicht besonders gut.
Wer damit jedoch kein Problem hat – oder sich auf die ersten Runs mit den verschiedenen, sehr spaßigen Charakteren konzentriert – sollte dem Spiel definitiv eine Chance geben und kann damit viele unterhaltsame Stunden verbringen.

Incredibly fun! I love the game's art and music, it's incredibly bright and happy. I think there's a lot of depth to the strategy; in particular, I improved a lot when I started playing more proactively, thinking about what equipment I saw on previous runs and how I could work it into a build. I particularly love the chapters with a strange, puzzly constraint that you need to optimize around; there's a genius one in the Reunion DLC that I absolutely love. My favorite character is Robot, with Witch as a close second. Would recommend!

Bought this game years ago. It might seem like a simple turn based rpg but its more complex than that. Loads of fun with every character. Attempting to 100% the game since I keep coming back to it. Extremely well polished as well. Plus they released more content for free so the game is worth it even more now! 10/10 one of my favorites for sure!
А чё, круто. Так-то я отзывы не особо умею писать, но игра прикольная. Стратежка с порцией рандома. Достаточно большой порцией. У каждого персонажа есть какие-то свои заскоки и игра на них не похожа друг на друга, так как на одном ты перебрасываешь кубики, на другом крутишь свои кубики в надежде на Бога рандома, а на третьем вообще учишься играть с постоянно меняющимся снаряжением. Больше соли добавляют эпизоды, которые вообще в корне могут менять правила игры, подтверждая фразу из описания игры, говорящую, что удача не на вашей стороне. Особенно на ведьме. ведьма иди ♥♥♥♥♥
