Honestly fun as Hell. Yeah, it is a simple ass mobile port, but at the sale price of $1.99, it's a really great time. [i]Deus Ex: The Fall[/i] captures some of the vibes from the original [i]Deus Ex[/i] and offers a primitive, but gratifying gameplay experience with a solid story and truly interesting cast of characters. The reviews are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, but don't let it steer you away, especially if you're a fan of the series or even an achievement ♥♥♥♥♥ like me.

Ngl just started. But from what ive seen so far, and knowing the context of its development, honeslty its a pretty impressive mobile phone game before the era of gacha-slop.
Visuals look good and i can only imagine how good it looked on a smaller screen.
I also like that they took the time to actually port this to PC with gamepad controls.
Would also like to see an unofficial Vita Homebrew port one day ngl.

Game is legit interesting, if ya like Deus Ex, for 2USD on sale, its worth the price id say.
Especially if ya like Deus Ex and want more.
Just know its a mobile phone game from 2013 ported to PC a year later.

I wonder what this game could have been under the circonstances. It came out at a time devs thought phone gaming was the future. Obviously it wasn't. What a shame, i can see this game being interesting.

Ich mag das Spiel trotz der deutlichen Abstriche zu "Human Revolution". Der Protagonist ist intelligent, schlagkräftig, hilfsbereit, hat ein ausgeprägtes Gewissen und geht gut mit seiner Freundin um :-) .

Leider habe ich nur 27 von 28 Errungenschaften erreicht, weil ich bei einer Nebenmission die falsche Entscheidung getroffen habe und es nicht nochmal versuchen konnte, weil das automatische Speichersystem meinen manuellen Speicherpunkt überschrieben hat. Das war hart und ganz bestimmt nicht lustig :-( .

¡¡LA PRIMERA PARTE DE UNA SERIE QUE NUNCA VIÓ MÁS PARTES!!

Muchos catalogan este videojuego como inferior al tercer juego de la saga. Gráficos reducidos, jugabilidad limitada, falta de precisión... ¡Diversos puntos! Pero yo pregunto... ¿Qué esperaban de un juego pensado para teléfonos móviles y tabletas? ¡Es obvio que estaría todo reducido para poder añadir todo lo que les hubiese gustado que tuviese el juego en sí! Y por eso sería un juego dividido en capítulos y no incluyendo todo de golpe. Además de que ha sido muy cortés que lo adaptasen para el ordenador pudiendo jugarlo con mayor comodidad.

La historia tanto de este capítulo como de los futuros capítulos que nunca vieron la luz tendría lugar durante los meses transcurridos desde que el protagonista del tercer juego quedase mortalmente herido y al borde de la muerte hasta el momento en el que ese mismo protagonista volviese a entrar en acción. En este caso... El nuevo protagonista que manejamos es Ben Saxon. Un hombre cuyo pasado le persigue, pero que logró seguir adelante a pesar de las experiencias negativas que afectaron gravemente su propia vida. Traicionado por aquellos que consideraba sus amigos y compañeros de armas... Traicionado por su propio país... Y traicionado por aquellos que parecieron ayudarlo para luego utilizarlo como una marioneta. La última vez que trabajó para una organización se acabó hartando de tantas manipulaciones y engaños decidiendo volverse un lobo solitario. Sobre todo sabiendo que esa última organización en la que estuvo resultó ser un grupo de mercenarios conocido como ''Los Tiranos'', es cual es un grupo totalmente carente de moral y que no dudarían incluso en aceptar los trabajos más turbios, inmorales y cuestionables solo por dinero. ¡Incluso no dudarían en matar a millones de bebés recién nacidos si supiesen que ganarían dinero haciéndolo!

Actualmente se refugia en la ciudad de Costa Rica junto a Anna Kelso, la cual es la única compañera y amiga en la que puede confiar. Juntos trabajan por libre para descubrir toda la verdad oculta al mismo tiempo que colaboran con un misterioso colectivo mundial de hackers independientes conocido como ''Juggernaut'' en la misión activista de descubrir y exponer toda la corrupción tanto gubernamental como empresarial. Actualmente hay escasez de ''Neuropocina'' y el protagonista trata de descubrir por qué. Al mismo tiempo que se está popularizando una extraña alternativa a dicho fármaco que resulta ser igual de efectiva, pero mucho más barata conocida como ''Riezene''. Sin embargo... Aparentemente no parece demasiado segura, pues aún está en ensayos clínicos y oficialmente no está a la venta. Sin embargo... Por algún motivo ha llegado a las calles de Costa Rica y se está distribuyendo como si fuese una droga. ¿Qué se oculta detrás de todo ese asunto? Solo el protagonista puede descubrirlo.

Personalmente me gustó mucho este juego. Y no se puede negar que hubo muchos culpables de que no continuase su desarrollo hasta el final. El primero... La propia empresa desarrolladora por considerar que una saga tan grande y tan importante debía ocupar plataformas débiles como los propios teléfonos móviles. Y el segundo... El público en general por boicotear las ventas de este mismo juego y también por impedir el desarrollo del resto de capítulos, lo cual consiguieron con sus quejas sin sentido y sus críticas por detalles que deberían haber asumido desde el principio al saber que el juego era inicialmente para teléfonos móviles. ¿Acaso esperaban un juego igual o superior a lo que ofrecería una consola de última generación con la tecnología que había por aquellos años? En resumen... No se puede negar que la empresa cometió un grave error al querer meter la saga en dispositivos tan débiles y tan poco confiables como los teléfonos móviles o las tabletas. ¡Esta saga nunca debió ser destinada para ese tipo de tecnología! Debería haberse limitado a los ordenadores y las consolas potentes. Si lo hubiesen hecho así desde el principio incluyendo todo lo actual y todo lo que tenían planeado a futuro en un único juego para ordenador y consolas de última generación podrían habernos ofrecido todo y aún más. Sin embargo... No sería justo negar que el público en general también tuvo gran parte de la culpa por criticar tanto el juego en sí basándose en detalles técnicos y estructurales que cualquiera con dos dedos de frente ya debería haber tenido asumido que encontraría desde el principio en el propio juego. Quejas que incitaron a muchos otros a rechazar la oportunidad de comprarlo y darle una oportunidad, la cual podría haber animado al desarrollo de los capítulos que faltan y que ahora nunca conoceremos. Recomiendo totalmente la compra de este juego, pues a pesar de sus limitaciones... Así la gente podrá conocerlo y darse cuenta de quienes tuvieron la culpa en mayor o menor medida de su hundimiento.

Deus Ex: The Fall intenta meterse en el club de los “simuladores inmersivos” cyberpunk con traje de Acción/Aventura/Rol… pero llega con cara de “vine en capítulo, no me pidan milagros”. Es un FPS con sigilo, upgrades y conspiraciones transhumanistas, donde la fantasía es sentirte un agente mejorado que resuelve problemas con cerebro… o con balas, porque sí.

La primera impresión es clara: hay ADN de Deus Ex (distopía, ciencia ficción, decisiones de enfoque, atmósfera) y una intención real de darte herramientas de rol/acción para jugar a tu manera. El problema es que también se siente “episódico” y “corto”, como si el juego estuviera constantemente recordándote: “tranqui, no voy a desarrollar todo esto… todavía”.

Si vienes por historia y ambientación futurista con buena música, hay con qué. Si vienes buscando la profundidad y el peso de un Deus Ex grande, aquí te van a dar una probadita… y luego te van a cerrar el frasco.

[h2]Augmentations: lo que funciona vs lo que se buguea[/h2]

Lo Bueno:
✅ 🕶️ Cyberpunk y distopía bien marcados: atmósfera futurista que sí vende la paranoia corporativa.
✅ 🤫 Mezcla de sigilo + disparos en primera persona: puedes jugar más “fantasma” o más “tanque” según te dé el impulso.
✅ 🎭 Toques de rol y progresión: se siente la idea de mejorar habilidades y afrontar situaciones con enfoque.
✅ 🎶 Gran banda sonora: eleva escenas y compensa cuando el juego se queda corto en impacto.
✅ 🎮 Compatibilidad total con mando + logros/cromos: cómodo para tirarte sesiones rápidas y completar cositas.

Lo No Tan Bueno:
❌ 📦 Episódico y corto 😬: se nota que no está aquí para contarte “todo”, sino para dejarte con cara de “¿ya?”.
❌ 🧠 Simulador inmersivo… pero con freno de mano: la ambición está, la profundidad se siente limitada.
❌ 👤 Un jugador y nada más: si esperabas vida social, aquí solo te acompaña tu propia decepción (y tus logros).
❌ 🔫 FPS correcto, no brillante: cumple, pero no esperes que cada tiroteo sea una tesis doctoral del diseño.

Deus Ex: The Fall es como pedir un “Deus Ex” y que te sirvan una muestra gratis en vasito: sabe a cyberpunk, huele a conspiración y tiene esa vibra de sigilo/rol/acción que te hace pensar “ok, esto podría ponerse buenísimo”… y justo ahí se acuerda de que es corto y episódico.

Con 3685 recomendaciones, claramente hay gente que le encontró el encanto: atmósfera sólida, música destacada y un paquete single player fácil de digerir. Pero con 1 jugador actual… digamos que el futuro distópico está más concurrido que sus servidores imaginarios.

¿Vale la pena? Si lo tomas como una experiencia compacta para rascar el itch de ciencia ficción, transhumanismo y sigilo en primera persona, sí. Si lo tomas como “el siguiente gran Deus Ex”, te vas a quedar esperando el aumento… y te van a instalar uno de paciencia.

Единственный плюс игры, что её можно быстрой пройти (на 100%), в затем забыть. Досталась в бандле, когда покупал всю серию Deus Ex.
Выглядит совершенно небрежно. Рекомендую не притрагиваться к этому продукту.

You wont be able to jump btw.

Also i dont know why, but I didnt like playing as a british character. Thats a me problem i guess.

Skipping this “game” won’t make you miss a thing from a lore perspective since it ends with a cliffhanger and it's incomplete. Nice story though.

Imagine DXHR, now make the game somewhat worse, not incredibly worse but noticeable. You save up because there's about to be a very good item you keep your eye on the credits on [spoiler]a bundle for 10 Praxis points at < 1/2 the price of individual ones[/spoiler]. Now imagine you're about to finally get enough credits for it [spoiler]> 9,500 and its cost is 10,000[/spoiler] and the game ends. In addition I've been saving my mods to install on better weapons down the line; I know that's cheaty but that's how I like to play.

I'd rate this [strike]mayyybe 6/10 because the low price I got[/strike] after further consideration they should have explicitly mentioned its short duration before the 4 hrs mark which allows Steam users to get a refund, perhaps after the walkthrough and initial story is explained, so I downgrade it to 5/10; but since it's recommended or not, it's the latter.

Although I did not pay for this directly, it was part of a bundle so part of the purchase went to it. The low price I was referring to is the ratio of its full price over the sum of the bundle items full price applied to the bundle cost.

Der kleine Bruder zu Deus Ex: Human Revolution, ma sieht dem Spiel an, worauf es aufbaute.
Da es ursprünglich ein Mobilegame war, ist es technisch und im Gameplay etwas einfacher gehalten. Dennoch mit 4 - 5 Stunden Spielzeit ein kleiner Titel für zwischendurch.

Großer Kritikpunkt: Auch wenn es vor Human Revolution spielt, sollte The Fall ein Zweiteiler werden…wodurch man am Ende von Teil 1 einfach einen Cliffhanger hat, der nie aufgelöst wurde.

I will start by saying I am glad this is on Steam instead of becoming lost media that nobody can play anymore because it was a mobile game released like 12.5 years ago now. It is more than I expected out of a super old mobile game tho, I will say, but it's still not really worth playing.

The gameplay is the same as HR, but a little more clunky. Stealth is very poorly designed in this one. The areas are either way too easy, with one vent bypassing the entire section, or they left me scratching my head for like 30 minutes trying to figure out how to get through undetected. When you do a takedown, there is a chance the body will be like 30 feet away from where you knocked him out after the animation ends as well, so I was often times caught because of the game's poor optimization instead of my own errors.

The game is incredibly short. There's a prologue, and then literally 3 main missions, and like 5 side missions, almost all of them being "grab this item in this place you're already going to and then come back to me." There are full playthroughs on YouTube that are only 2.5 hours long. The story also ends with a "to be continued" screen only to uh... never be continued. It's basically the first chapter of a game that never saw the light of day. Kinda sad honestly. Literally nothing is resolved, it's all just setup. It's pretty much a demo for a game that doesn't exist. Some of the voice acting is like REALLY bad too lol.

Why they didn't make this an expansion for HR on console instead of a weird mobile game, I will never know. Well, it was probably because they thought they would make a lot of money because mobile games were just taking off in 2013, but y'know. In the end, I would say this game is not worth playing at all, even if you're a fan of the Deus Ex world and want to see all it has to offer (especially for TEN DOLLARS). This is unfortunately almost literally nothing. It could have expanded the story of HR a lot if it got more than one chapter, but it didn't. The only person who should buy this is an absolute die-hard fan of Deus Ex who wants to be able to say they played every Deus Ex game and read all the Deus Ex books (there's a book about this game's protagonist btw) and even then, I would say wait for a huge sale, because it like hardly worth $3.

Not as bad as its reputation if you take it on its own terms as a mobile game ported to PC back when devs thought that developing console-like games for android was a viable option. Real issue is it's just the first part of something that was never completed.

Worth picking up for cheap at the very least as a relic of its time and it being an extant Deus Ex game for now, we never did get the GO version of Deus Ex on steam at least.

Игру стоит расценивать больше как возможность ознакомиться с мобильным портом, возможно для кого-то это будет объект ностальгии. Потому что в целом ничего плохого в этой игре нет, она довольно достоверно переносит геймплей старшей версии, при этом не пересказывает историю Адама, а вносит свою, параллельную. Тут то собака и зарыта, ведь история разворачивается достаточно интересно, дополняя мир оригинала, но заканчивается буквально на словах "продолжение следует" обрывая повествование. Видимо проект не оправдал ожиданий и не стал вторым асасин кридом, потому что в меню до сих пор висит плашка мол "ждите обновления с продолжением сюжета".

В любом случае, какого-то прям негатива игра не вызвала, местами было даже интересно, но если бы её не запихнули в набор, играть бы не стал.

I don't think Deus Ex: The Fall is a good game. You can read all other negative reviews to see why. But I don't really have it in myself to say that it's absolutely not worth your attention.

Deus Ex: The Fall is an artifact from the period when game developers considered mobile gaming to be an entirelty new platform and invested time, effort and money into it. People who owned neither consoles nor computers could finally interact with franchises they only heard about one shape or another. It wasn't just the Fall - there were other entries from different franchises as well that were exclusive to mobile devices.

Unfortunately, I suppose, the investment didn't paid off and nowadays the mobile market is mostly controlled by soulless garbage, gacha games, or freemium slop. Taking into account the availability of handheld consoles like Steam Deck, I am not sure if it is ever coming back. But maybe it is for the best.

It also costs 2 dollars on sales, so if you are itching for anything cyberpunk, if you are a big Deus Ex fan, or if you just want to get familiar with an unfortunate piece of gaming history, I would give it a try just for fun.

This has to be one of my biggest gaming regrets ever. And the frustration is due to the fact that with a little more, it could really have been much more.

Of course, even with the best of intentions and abilities, it was impossible for a game conceived for the mobile devices of the early-to-mid 2010s to reproduce the Deus Ex experience from PC and consoles, but they tried; even while seeing all the limits, sometimes I could honestly appreciate what they were attempting. Even if, with the corpses disappearing quickly due to technical limitations of the original platforms, the stealth is much easier than it should.

But any tolerable flaw is nothing compared to the fact that they decided to give up on The Fall; it ends on a cliffhanger that will never be resolved, as a second episode was never made. That automatically degrades this game from a little curiosity, to something just not worth bothering.

At least it let me finally have a Steam copy of the original Deus Ex. Oh well.

Initially was very hesitant because of all the bad reviews. Played on Asus Rog Ally without any control issues and encountered only one bug (fixed with immediate save reload). RE: Simplified gameplay and more basic graphics compared with other instalments, my understanding is that it's been modes from mobile game to tablet to PC. Considering this, I found the game quite satisfying, played it some time after Human Revolution so really wasn't bothered by any of that. Relatively short game, could probably finish in 4-6hrs.

Entiendo que es un juego que salió primero a celulares y después lo portearon a PC, pero vamos, este juego esta pesimamente porteado, tiene varios bugs muy notorios, la animaciones de los personajes valen cualquier callampa y el final de la historia de este juego deja mucho que desear, se nota que lo hicieron al peo nomas, solo para sacar un poco más de plata, si lo van a comprar, hagan la compra con el pack, que viene con la saga entera de deus ex, no lo compren de forma individual, van a desperdiciar su dinero, la única razón para jugarlo es que es un juego que te lo pasas en 3 horas y tiene logros fáciles y nada más, sin duda el peor de la saga deus ex y uno de los peores RPGs que he jugado. После MD хотел добить серию этим портом с мобилок - история развивается быстро и уверенно, думал сча пройду и напишу что скромный TF лучше чем MD, но лол, тут сюжет точно также обрывается процентах на 30.
Т.е. разрабы (или кто там эйдосам так поднасрал?) серьезно сидели и думали "Ща мы сделаем одну игру на треть, потом вторую на треть и денег заработаем", а потом удивлялись, почему это оказалось невостребованным. Ну это просто чудо.

I wanted to give this game a chance given the fact I've never played it, and can't be THAT bad, right?

...but it's that baaaad!! Who asked for this??? (￢_￢;)

Linear level design, zero world building, the voice acting was just people reading lines (tutorial lady was probably like I'm only here for the paycheck), gone are the tense situations where you carefully explore and plan your inventory. Nope! Have an Instant Store, cheese and blaze your way through! I'm guessing that was the microtransactions shop, huh? The AI is broken as hell and you're always unsure which one is gonna be the buggy one. And the bugs!!! I fell through the map and died just by picking up a pocket secretary lol. Worst of all, an unfinished story with a cliffhanger...it's been, what? More than 10 years? Surely a sequel is right around the corner!

This feels like it must have been released as a demo for an Android/IOS showcase to see if people would care enough...my guess is, not much.

It might have been pretty neat to play this on an phone, but as a PC port this is really janky with the controls feeling stiff and unintuitive and all the parts that make the Deus Ex games unique, have been ripped out for a measly mobile cash-grab.

I would recommend this game ONLY if you want to complete your Deus Ex collection and get it super cheap like I did.

The single good thing that came out of my playthrough is that it made me crave to replay the other games as soon as possible and clean my palette from this thing, ugh.

The screenshots make it look like a decent port of Deus Ex: HR-like gameplay. It is not. Terrible voice acting, writing and combat, and really boiled-down mechanics. You can buy upgrades for your weapons in the middle of a mission - This is not an immersive sim, this is a game you could play on an airplane if you needed a Deus Ex fix.... However with the steam deck now being a thing, these days you could just play a real Deus Ex game.

作为一款手机游戏，没错，手游，《杀出重围：陨落》在当年算得上一款好游戏，在今天“世风日下”的手游市场里（能找到一款PC/主机IP专为手机量身定制的这种质量的外传算我输），更是称得上优秀，但抛开这些情况，本作只能称得上尚可，差强人意。
最大的问题还是出在，《陨落》的故事这压根没讲完，反转刚刚揭露，传统上的练手第二章开放地图刚结束，按理说第三幕应该是大决战，结果，啊，什么，你告诉我，还没做？
而且，12年过去了，还是没做，挂着大大的“未完待续”。
也就是说本作的流程和叙事都是不完整的，尤其是缺失了最重要的终章，令人不爽而恼火，仿佛成长的、收集、锻炼出的一切都被浪费掉了，没机会真正上手，角色的成长与冲突也无机会展现。
作为一款iPhone 5时代的手机游戏，别指望画面，实际上，万一有玩家不知道这是一款手游，就按着发售年份接着《人类革命》去玩，估计会惊掉下巴：“怎么还大退步了？！”
但实际上，本作竟然支持PC端3440x1440的原生分辨率，虽然建模巨糙，但若以iPhone 5的年代技术力和屏幕尺寸来看，不可谓超高画质游戏。
本作的另一个主要问题是这个移植版，而不是游戏内容本身，这个移植版的手柄支持是坏了一半的，瞄准逻辑是照搬触屏的，总而言之，PC手柄的体验是不行的。（去找Steam控制器里的社区手柄布局能勉强用，否则连掩体都进不去你说离不离谱）
在系统玩法上，《陨落》出乎意料地保留了七七八八《人类革命》的精髓，虽然也许因为技术原因阉割了自由搬运、不少物理效果、以及敌人尸体这些，但是多重路线的关卡设计、致命/非致命的大量手段/义体/武器/道具，骇入玩法、机关陷阱、文本细节和任务抉择也都一并保留，玩起来就是个精简版的《人类革命》，而且鉴于本作时间线就在《人类革命》前，作为前传的它如果作为一个Demo教程来玩，那到是完美了，可以循循序渐进上手。
不过你可能会觉得本作的时停隐身冲刺非常OP，毕竟是方便手机操作方式吧。
不过，因为没了尸体（敌人无论击晕还是杀死，尸体都会消失），破坏了游戏潜行的深度，潜行难度简单到离谱，再加上本作没有格子危机，而且商店在菜单就能用，资源管理的深度也同样荡然无存了，所以，虽然不一定真的成了无脑突突突，但是确实简单粗暴了不少。
但总而言之可以说，在一种IP的手游外传里，《陨落》算得上是精髓保留最为优秀的之一了，与当年那些认真制作的买断制手游外传，诸如《死亡空间》《质量效应：渗透者》位置类似（唉再度感叹如今堕落的手游市场
《陨落》也没有我一开始想象的那么重度素材复用，还给《杀出重围》宇宙增添了莫斯科和巴拿马两座舞台，最可惜的是，我缺的澳大利亚呢？

As other reviews said, this is a porting on PC of a mobile game.
It's not THAT bad. It is very well playable.
Though, it felt like the story was the first episode in a spinoff series that never got continued.

If not for the [b]INFURIATINGLY UNRESPONSIVE UI[/b] I would have put in a positive review.

If you got this from a bundle or similar, give it a try.

Попри загальні оцінки і критику гри це був непоганий досвід. Пробіг на всі ачівки.
Зважаючи на те, що це мобільний порт і це варто тримати в голові постійно ( гра розроблялась для iPhone 5 і випустилась коли вийшов 5S )- він виглядає непогано навіть зараз , сюжетно це скучно, бойовка ніяка, стелс дуже простий. Вас очікує 6 основних місій і 5 додаткових завдань (принеси-подай).
Як для мобільки нормально наповнені, як для пк порту.. робити на локаціях немає чого, персонажі пусті, як діалоги.. з хорошого тут тільки музика - по факту це вирізана з HR.
Відчувається, що це була 1 частина, частина для показу того, що консольна якість і графіка може бути реалізована на телефонах 2012-2013 років . Нажаль продовження так і не вийшло те, що ця частина лише частково досягла намічених цілей
Рекомендую, пробіжіть на 1 вечір, не надто і пожалкуєте :)

Well… what can I say. A mobile game port can hardly ever be considered a proper, good game by default.

Gameplay-wise, it’s basically Human Revolution adapted for mobile devices, with its own little spin-off storyline. The problem is, they never even released a second chapter — and it’s clear they never will.

I wouldn’t recommend buying this separately — it feels more like a demo than a full game. Still, despite all its flaws, it does have a certain atmosphere. And if you got it as part of a Deus Ex bundle, it’s worth a quick playthrough. Plus, collecting all the achievements only takes about 5 hours.

if you liked the mainline Deus Ex games you might like this, the game does have a small open world (like previous games) but it is much smaller and is divided into even smaller districts, the augs enemies have seem to make them get 10x more durable after spotting you, I have played for almost 5 hours (I looked it up and the length of the game is 5-6 hours if you do all the extra stuff) and my inventory hasn't been filled to the point I had to discard stuff so I don't know if it does get full, the game is the first and only episode in a now canceled spin-off so don't expect the story to conclude meaningfully, it was a mobile game so the graphics are pretty bad, and you can't jump or sprint

If you like the Deus Ex saga and older games like this, I can recommend it. At least I had fun playing it. But be aware: this was supposed to be a series of games, but they only finished this one episode. So you won't finish any storyline here.

Only get this if you are going to buy the The Deus Ex Collection bundle. It's a ported mobile game which can be finished in like 3 hours. Has a lot of bugs and is unpolished and unfinished. Only worth playing because it is too short
