Absolutely recommend! I have not played this game co-op yet. It has a doom vibe to it and can get really crazy. Many levels to plow through. Many different elemental debuffs to pick from. Very strong FPS combined with very solid rogue-like gameplay. Add in the wide range of difficulty settings to challenge yourself, or not! Great game and truly enjoying my time in it.

Game is very responsive and feels good to play; seems to be pretty well optimized. Progression and difficulty works well playing with friends/others. A lot of things to unlock even more so than you think as not everything appears in the glossary immediately. The builds all feel pretty good and viable. Enemy variance and move-set seems very good for the genre and appears to be scaling well with difficulty increase.
I don't see any major flaws or criticisms yet, but it seems like the runs could approach the hour mark at the higher difficulties, and the tile set may feel limited for people who have been playing a while.
I tried a lot of the other fps roguelikes on steam and this one has been the best so far; it's very easy to jump right in and you don't feel completely lost if you take a break from it for a while.

great movement, great gunplay, solid gun and enemy variation. i had lots of fun completing the challenges on increasingly high difficulty.
my only issue is that the "spaceship room" aesthetic kind of gets old despite of the various room designs but it doesnt subtract from the superb shooter roguelike gameplay

got kind of boring at the end but over all music, enemys and map design/levels are intresting. i am guessing updates aka more levels is free for now so that is cool. nothing else to say but does feel simple and could get repitiive. that is all for now.

for my first hour i would say i had fun but idk if i will be playing more of the game tbh since it is kind of boring like i said. 30 zones and a lot of tanky enemies even tho i am playing on the easies diffculty and they do be doing quite a bit of damage too.

for someone who loves challenges in games this is def for them. i can see the game being very sweaty and hard the higher the diffculty but over all for a casual i did not enjoy it that much. idk tbh

Remember Microsoft XP Pinball, and how that game felt functionally competent, yet aesthetically soulless, but was still a great way to kill five minutes at the end of class?

Yeah, this is this game. It's a fine shooter, the guns feel heavy and have a nice thud, and the movement feels alright. But once you've played ten minutes of this game, you've played the whole thing. There are no ways to really create a flow state or build a class out properly, every upgrade is just "+5% to guns" or "+8 to shields." Every run feels the same, I don't ever feel like I'm cracking the code and making something new.

Will I still randomly play it? Yeah, probably for a few minutes at a time. But I would not recommend buying this game if you're considering it. If you're looking for super fast paced roguelike fun, take that money and put it into a copy of Synthetic 2, which is a far far far superior game.

The negative first:

1. For some reason when I host a multiplayer game, my fps slowly goes down over the course of a run. To the point that with 2 friends, when we got to room 30, I quite literally had 6 fps. Doesn't make sense at all as when playing solo, or when a friend is hosting, I have 100+ fps maxed out. I have a 9800x3d and 9070xt, so specs are more than enough. No idea if it's a bug or what.

2. Elements I think (personally) need rebalanced. I pretty much only ever want to go ice, with lightning as an acceptable substitute. When playing co-op, it's fine to go something different as long as SOMEONE has ice. I get that the elements tend to do different things, (such as lightning being great for aoe damage with a bit of cc mixed in, fire being great for single target damage with some aoe mixed in, ice being great for cc with some aoe mixed in, etc etc) but some are just straight up better. I wouldn't say ice is over powered, just that everything else feels weaker and needs a bit of tweaking. I only have about 18 hours in the game at this point, and still have plenty to unlock, but man does it feel bad not to get the elemental perks you want to see.

That's it. Time for good stuff.

First off, the gameplay loop is great, and the progression is at a pretty good speed. It doesn't feel like it takes hours of grinding for you to get to a point to where you FEEL stronger. And the "side missions" have meaningful unlocks, so it doesn't feel like you're just doing them to check a box. This game could honestly be used to teach a class on player progression and rewards, and that's coming from someone that would usually rather just skip progression in a game and only care about the raw gameplay.

Speaking of which...

MY BROTHER IN CHRIST. I am SO picky when it comes to shooters. Like, if it don't feel like Battlefield 4, Halo, Doom 2016, or like a few of the older call of dutys, I can't STAND it. So many games just feel BAD to shoot in. I'm talking AAA titles that cost up and over 9 figures to make, and I just feel nasty playing them.

Deadzone Rogue does NOT suffer from this. AT ALL. Smooth, punchy, NATURAL. Like, it took me all of 0 minutes to feel comfortable shooting in this game. At no point have I felt like missed shots were because I was getting used to shooting in this game, and not just due to my lack of aiming ability in shooters as a whole. FROM MINUTE ONE. This is one HELL of an accomplishment, and that ALONE would make this game worth the money for me. Like, I cannot express enough how good the shooting feels from the very onset of the game. Easiest way to describe the gunplay and second to second combat is "Halo and Doom had a baby in the BEST WAY."

Some smaller positives:

Music: Honestly this is gonna be hit or miss for some. Tracks are very "old school BMG" very repetitive and loopy, but they're just catchy enough to invoke a feeling of nostalgia for me, and I think they work. YMMV
Story: While simple, and definitely not the main draw of the game, it's interesting enough to keep your attention, and the devs (I think) realized that the story was secondary to the fantastic gameplay. It's "neat" and its there, but it doesn't shove itself in your face or do what MANY games do, and have the "decent" story take away from the fantastic gameplay.
Co-op: This is actually a pretty big positive for me. Deadzone Rogue is (imo) a game best enjoyed as a pick up and play. An hour or two here, an hour or two there. You never are lost when coming back to it, it's a fantastic "comfort game" pick. And it's got just enough intensity to where you WANT to put it down for breaks. Co-op throws that out the window. No BS "difficulty spikes" or weird gimmicks or anything, just "my friend is now playing with me" co-op. Makes the game a lot easier, sure. But also makes an already fun game a RIOT. Everyone going different builds and playstyle doesn't affect anything in a bad way, but you can TRY to get some synergy going if you want. It's just well implemented, and a fantastic way for you and some buddies to blow a few hours in fun arena shooter style game.

Final Thoughts: I DO have to say, I feel that there are a few strategies and set ups that are simply "better" and as I progress through higher difficulties and such, I worry that this fact might start to matter more, however considering the price of the game and the level of fun I've had, and knowing that I'm going to at least play through until I beat every mission even if it's on a normal difficulty...it's definitely a "YES" from me. I'll be able to get at least 40 hours out of the game, if not more, and to me, that's well worth the price of admission. Even if you're not the biggest fan of roguelike games, and just looking to scratch a good shooter itch, I'd give Deadzone Rogue a shot.

Preheat oven to 425
In a small bowl, combine all glaze ingredients, taste and adjust, then set aside.
Thoroughly coat chicken with baking powder mixture, and bake in the center of your oven on a baking rack over a foil lined baking sheet for 20 minutes. Remove from oven, flip all pieces over and bake an additional 20 minutes. Lastly, remove from oven and flip once more and cook for an additional 10-15 minutes or until chicken is crisp. Let chicken rest 5 minutes, then toss in 1/2 of your glaze mixture to coat. If it needs more, add more.
Garnish with chives, lime zest, cilantro (if using), and toasted sesame seeds.
Serve.

This game does NOT keep the interest. You'll go from having the most simple and easy room to suddenly everything is on you with, what appears to be, no way to really win it. The game has good movement and gun play, but there's obviously guns and perks that are significantly better than others, which means some runs when you get the good stuff all together, it's just OP and you're not gonna be challenged.

The game lacks real progression. With only 3 zones, they tried to offer more from those by adding challenges and whatnot, but those truly feel like a waste of time. I find myself playing this for about 30-45 minutes as a break from my normal games, but this one doesn't keep my interest for longer than that and I'd choose not to buy it again if I could.

It's only interesting enough when you leave it alone for a while, then once you come back and play a bit, it reminds you of how good the game COULD be, but isn't.

Addictive, well paced shooter with great build variety and a host of different missions to challenge you. The MC story is simple and comical which really suits the games shoot, loot, repeat style.

In my opinion, this has the best build expression variety of any looter, shooter game on the market. The perks and items on their own are not immensely innovative, but the simplicity of creating synergy makes for an extremely satisfying experience.

THE GAME PLAY THO!
This is one of the most fun shooters I've played in a long time. The story seems like chatgpt wrote it. The concept art and design are nothing special. The dialogue is forgettable besides talking to planty. But the gameplay is so much fun and the builds can get insanely strong you are vaporizing the enemies in a really satisfying way.
If you need a fast paced shooter that doesn't take itself too seriously, I couldn't recommend this more.

There is something to be said for creating a game that balances performance, graphics, difficulty, ease of picking up and putting down, and Deadzone Rogue is able to walk that fine line. Especially after the bad taste of not being able to run Borderlands 4 at native 1080p with 60 fps with an RX 9060 XT, this shooter is much more serviceable for quick FPS rogue-like runs. Gameplay is a bit arcade-y, but just tight enough to stay engaging for each run. It is perfect for quick games, and I appreciate smaller studios filling the niches where bigger studios swing big and miss

Tout d'abord je tiens à dire que le jeu me plait énormément mais un soucis trop gros m'empêche de le recommander.
pour:
-le principe du jeu est génial très fluide et tactique (oui il faut réfléchir aux différentes synergies à faire et il faut connaitre les différents ennemies en cauchemar).
contre:
-le jeu est fait pour jouer en multi avec vos potes malheureusement celui-ci est trop mal finis desynchro à répétition se qui empêche totalement de jouer ensemble (aprioris le problème est présent depuis mi 2025 et toujours pas régler).

vraiment dommage car le jeu pourrais être tellement bien même l'histoire (copier de pas plusieurs licences) est bien exploiter d'après moi et bien plus réaliste.

不要浪费时间。
不要把宝贵的闲暇浪费在试图理解SB策划设计的纯堆数值的BD、纯堆数值的粪怪、纯纯一坨的地图设计上。
区域一升级第40关马桶圈大的地方塞一堆红头斧兵突脸＋炸弹人＋俩范围AOE伤的大蜘蛛，闪避还经常卡脚，
换了隐刀、无限雷、元素大机枪各种BD全都暴毙，
玩这个不骂人真的这辈子无论干啥都成功。
QNMD又浪费了30小时。

i don't get the the hype. at first glace it feels awesome, but dig deeper and there's not enough diversity and too many perks that don't apply to many builds (i.e. 1st shot in 200 round mag deals bonus damage). the core of this game feels great but it needs lots of tuning. map design is extremely lackluster and maybe the worst part of the game.

I beat this with a friend and we streamed it on Hard Mode. I must buy if you like Roguelites and 1st person shooters. It's so satisfying and we plan on getting every achievement. There was lots of death for us but once we got the hang of it oh boy is it fun. I can't help but want more of this game in expansions or sequel because it buy it. What might seem impossible will make you think about your build or play style and adjust. I have a habit of getting into a flow and the sections are cleared and it leaves me wanting more. Performance is great and overall didnt really have any issues beside jumping close to a ledge and trying to get up it. One room kind of lagged but was playing a different server other then my current one I live in so my friend and me had an ok connection. The recent patch/update helped smooth things out.

I give this game 2 Thumbs Up! Just pick it up and play it especially with a friend. I purchased 1 copy for myself and one for my friend and it was worth it. 20 Hrs later it was less then a $1 per hour and we still arent done collecting everything. Such a satisfying game to play

I just found out about Deadzone thanks to its Switch 2 launch and immediately had to check it out. I'm already hooked after a few rounds because its a lot of fun. Its like they took two of my favourite games, Halo and Hades, and combined them into a single game. Performance has been great on PC and Steam Deck too. I just wish there were a bit more player cosmetics as you can only choose between 4 okay skins, but I am grateful that the game is not filled with micro-transactions though. 10/10! Go check it out!

Плюсы
Динамичный аркадный геймплей с рывками и элементами bullet hell.
Глубокая система билдов: множество перков, типы урона и синергии.
Приятная стрельба и яркие спецэффекты.
Стабильная оптимизация.
Кооператив до 4 человек.

Минусы
Однообразные уровни (коридоры, повторяющиеся комнаты).
Слабый сюжет.
Несбалансированная сложность и быстрая прокачка.
Корявая анимация передвижения (прыжки, залезания).

Итоговая оценка: 7,5/10
Честный рогалик для фанатов жанра. Лучше всего заходит в кооперативе, но страдает от повторяемости локаций.

Really good Roguelite shooter. Runs amazingly, plays great and there's an absolute ton of potential builds you can put together depending on your playstyle due to the large amount of perks, solid weapon choice and other significant modifiers.

The game does have one pretty grim flaw however; map design. You'll go from one map which is decently designed with good flow, cover etc, but then you'll go into a room with absolutely no cover, everything in the room will shoot at you simultaneously and some of the enemies are so overtuned that you'll honestly die in half a second.

Definitely needs some work there, but for the good price, it's still a blast with friends.

Limited content and lackluster meta progression makes it hard to like the game in the long run. It's fun for a while but then you will notice the issues. Roguelikes are carried by the RNG and the replayable aspect but this game touched upon those only a little.
The perk choices, the weapons, the elemental aspects, stats etc. will all be too familiar in a short time, even before you finish the campaign or every mission. Many weapons are significantly worse than other options thus you'll discard them all the time, mostly playing with the same 4-5 guns.
Hence the issue: why would I return to the game after I finish every mission? The upgrades can be maxed well before even touching the Core bossfight in Zone 3. Zone 4 is additional fun I have no intention doing the missions over and over to unlock the higher difficulties when there is nothing more to upgrade, unlock etc.
Small annoyance: the Zone 3 mission "The Long Haul" has zero information in-game about the conditions. I reached sector 52, died there and upon reviving back on my ship and checking, the mission remained incomplete. I had to check online to realize it's "just another mission" and it has no special conditions, you just have to beat 54 sectors. Why is this information not present in-game?

All in all I cannot recommend this game to roguelike fans, unless you want to hunt the Steam achievements.

首发的时候入了，优化不太好，BUG也多，玩一会退款了。最近看到NS2版本发售，似乎评价还不错，又买了NS2版本，玩了10小时，又来买了STEAM版本，偶尔打几把还不错，深度确实不够，高难度也恶心人，不过射击手感不错，也算对得起价格，希望能再出点内容，还是先给个好评吧！

This game is a straight outta the hood CLASSIC. It is distilled video game that builds on everything from 1993 Doom to modern FPS. It is a simple game but refined perfectly. I can't believe how good this innoculous game was. This is what all games SHOULD be, before games regressed to lower than NES titles.

There's still a lot more game I can play here too, where difficulty actually does change the enemies. And they don't multipy hp and damage from enemies like a Bethesda game, it's smartly made difficulty. There's a lot of meaningful options here too, even elemental damage is more than just the type of damage, it has its own out of the box quirks and paths you can unlock. This is a diamond in the rough, top tier title.
