With a little tweaking on the controller settings, works wonderfully on the Steam Deck. When you are using a scheme other than keyboard and mouse, try adjusting the sensitivity for your right stick for more fluid movement.

This game started off on a strong point, then began to not only outstay its welcome, but went on to suffer greatly from many bugs as the game progressed. Turning down framerate helped with some issues, others not so much. At some points during the game, you might ask yourself "why didn't this game end 2 hours ago?"

This is a cautious recommendation.
There is a certain mood and atmosphere in this game that offered bit of a redemption through the jank. Camera angles are both a pro and con, as they are atmospheric. They can also prevent you from spotting more to the map at times, too.
If you're able to stick through potentially 3+ hours of buggy gameplay, with a save system that depends on locating a regularly travelling save point system (saving through an individual), and hoping to not save during a game-breaking bug? Go for it. Saving makes certain bugs permanent, potentially causing you a need to reload much earlier saves.

И я бы сказал что скорее да, это квест-бродилка с элементами стрелялки и хоррора. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3477028834 В 2003 году это был провальный и всеми забытый проект на PS2, по качеству скорее близкий первым частям резика и томб райдер на PS1. Но сейчас это вполне себе такой игровой грайндхаус на пару-тройку вечеров. Поэтому рекомендую любителям артефактов мамонта, весьма играбельно!

After trying to make it work for a while, I had to drop it and instead emulate it on the PS2 all because of the god awful controls that you can't change in any meaningful way for controller users. As a game from 2003 I give it a solid 7/10 for mixing Indiana Jones and the survival horror genre in a unique and fun way. If you are a die hard fan of the genre this is an easy recommendation but for others it might be a little outdated especially if emulated.

Вышедшая под конец 2003-го года Curse: The Eye of Isis привлекла моё внимание тем, что все немногочисленные игроки, что успели в неё сыграть, постоянно сравнивали проект с классическими частями Resident Evil и Alone in the Dark. Сравнения были, мягко говоря, не в пользу данной игры. В минусы записывали как общую бюджетность ввиду устаревшей уже тогда графики, ужасной анимации и аляповатого технического исполнения, так и слабую сюжетную составляющую, неплохо интригующую поначалу, но всё больше скатывающуюся в уныние и поверхностность по мере прохождения. И знаете, я с этими утверждениями не совсем согласен...

Да, у игры явно были проблемы с бюджетом - это действительно видно по катсценам с дико деревянными анимациями и по общей бедности звукового оформления - но порой даже такие сшитые как Франкенштейн проекты вытягивает атмосфера и геймплей. А здесь эти элементы сделаны весьма достойно. Игра переносит вас в Лондон конца XIX века - в знаменитую Викторианскую эпоху, отражённую во многих произведениях кинематографа, книгах и, конечно же, играх. Занятно, что в данной игре, в отличие от тех же первых частей Resident Evil и Alone in the Dark, вы не будете бегать в окрестностях одной большой локации. Лондон, а точнее огромные запутанные лабиринты Британского музея - это только начало истории. Всего мест действия не так много, но ощущение большого путешествия остаётся, при этом не теряя своей камерности, характерной для survival horror'а подобного формата.

Немногочисленные задачки в основной массе рассчитаны на быстрое решение. Большую часть времени вам на манер серии Silent Hill придётся тыкаться в закрытые двери и искать к ним ключи. В целом, если у вас отличная ориентация в пространстве и хорошая память, то подобный элемент геймплея проблем не составит. Бэктрекинга, конечно, тоже хватает и даже порой с ним бывает перебор, но не настолько, чтобы закатывать глаза и выключать игру до лучших времён.

Хоррор-составляющая здесь весьма банальна, пугают чаще всего при смене ракурса камеры, когда перед лицом героя или героини внезапно появляются местные доходяги. Арсенал наших героев, кстати, весьма богат - тут вам и миномёт, и винтовка, и дробовик, и пистолет, и арбалет, и даже дубинка. Но не забывайте почаще сохраняться, ибо разработчики любят часто ставить героев в такие условия, при которых забирают всё честно собранное оружие. Сохраняться здесь придётся строго в отведённых точках, в которых появляется харизматичный помощник наших героев - Абдул. С ним, как и со своей коллегой Викторией, можно обмениваться содержимым инвентаря, куда входит соль для лечения ран, амулеты для снятия проклятых чар, различные виды боеприпасов и т.д.

Отдельная боль для многих современных игроков в данной игре - управление. Те, кто проходил старые консольные порты игр от Capcom, я уверен, приноровятся к местной раскладке быстро. Всем остальным могу только сказать - крепитесь! Либо попытайтесь настроить контроллер.

Локализация на русский, как обычно это принято в старых играх, ставится отдельно. Каких-то сложностей с её установкой нет. Компания Новый Диск, в целом, подошла к переводу довольно неровно. Заметны опечатки в текстах, озвучка вообще как будто записывалась в моно, но голоса главных героев радуют и им хорошо подходят.

Что можно в итоге сказать про Curse: The Eye of Isis? Советовать игру современному игроку я буду вряд ли. Всё-таки проект сильно устарел по многим аспектам. Те же, кто не против поиграть во что-то подзабытое, но интересное, окунуться в ностальгию по временам эпохи PS2, не ожидая при этом новых откровений - добро пожаловать! Пару вечерков в компании старого доброго лампового хоррора вам обеспечены.

The areas linger on for too long, First you'll be spending a lot of time in museum and next on some ship. The game is laughably easy and the weapons are out of balance. The flamethrower was nearly useless, despite the game promoting the player to use fire against the creeps. Use the truncheon against the regular zombies and the goons with guns, because they can't retaliate when you stunblock them and shoot the mummies with anything but the flamethrower because it's too slow. The puzzles shouldn't prove too much of a challenge, but sometimes the red thread of where to go or what to do wears thin. There are way better classic Resident Evil clones than this.

Необычный проект, по геймплею напоминающий SH и рассказывающий нам про семейную историю, завязанную на проклятой статуэтке.
Игра имеет присущие времени черты: атмосферу, создаваемую звуковым сопровождением и графикой, необычные ракурсы камеры и непривычную механику стрельбы.
Если захотите ознакомиться, то ниже мои рекомендации перед покупкой:
В игре присутствуют неочевидные задачки, поэтому гайды в помощь;
При запуске на современных системах могут возникнуть технические шоколадки (у меня даже был софтлок), поэтому рекомендую делать каждое сохранение в новый слот;
При наличии у вас двух мониторов и игре с клавиатурой и мышью во избежание переноса курсора с одного экрана на другой используйте софт, например, Dual Display Mouse Manager.

Un intento de survival horror que no tiene ni supervivencia ni horror, por más que lo intenta.

La trama es bastante original para el género (para otros está más que vista). La historia empieza en un museo de Inglaterra en 1890 donde se ha producido el robo del ojo de Isis, una estatuilla que iba a ser expuesta al público en una nueva colección. Darien Dane, entra en el museo a pesar de la prohibición de la policía porque había quedado con su amiga Victoria y descubre que tras el robo una extraña niebla está matando a todos los guardas y trayéndolos a la vida como monstruos sedientos de sangre. Durante el transcurso del juego iremos alternando entre estos dos personajes en su intento por acabar con la maldición.

El juego tiene todas las mecánicas de los survival horror clásicos: cámaras fijas, inventario limitado, combate tosco, zombis, baúles para guardar objetos, escenarios relativamente amplios que se irá desbloqueando según consigamos llaves… Salvo la limitación de munición y botiquines, que a poco de empezar a jugar nos saldrán por las orejas, al menos en la dificultad normal que fue la que juegué. Además, tiene un elemento que un nunca había visto y es la posibilidad de apuntar a diferentes partes del cuerpo y que la precisión de las armas aumente al mantener al personaje quieto. De primeras esto me pareció una buena idea, pero de lo primero solo es útil en algunos jefes y lo segundo es mas una molestia que otra cosa ya que de nada que nos movamos la precisión caerá al mínimo. El movimiento tan tosco que tienen los protagonistas y los malos ángulos de cámara en algunos momentos perjudican muchísimo el combate y es la principal razón por la que nos alcanzarán los enemigos, a parte de eso las diferentes armas se sienten todas iguales.

En cuanto a los gráficos supongo que están dentro de los estándares de su año (2003) pero repite muchísimo los modelos de enemigos, siendo apenas 5 o 6. El sonido por otro lado, no destaca en absolutamente nada y algunos ruidos de enemigos o ambiente son mas molestos que inmersivos.
Hay que mencionar también que el juego debe forzarse a 60 FPS con un programa externo porque si no los bugs no te dejarán finalizar el juego. Yo me enteré tarde y perdí como 3 horas en darme cuenta y solucionarlo, por no hablar de tener que repetir parte del progreso. Además de que por algún motivo Steam no cuenta el tiempo jugado y que hay que borrar un archivo del directorio del juego para poderlo ejecutar, por no hablar de que los hay que configurar los controles de mando cada vez que iniciamos.

Un juego que puede enganchar un poco al principio, pero rápidamente se convierte en algo peor que mediocre. No lo recomiendo a nadie ni aunque fuera gratis, sobre todo existiendo juegos tan buenos como Song of Horror o Tortured Souls.

Well... Gotta admit, at some point it felt like I wasn't gonna recommend it. But here I am. If you love old school survival horror games, like me, this one might be a different and cool example to try. The atmosphere, the vibes, the settings, the bad voice acting, the B-movie plot and story, all of that adds an undeniable charm to this. It feels like a mix of Night at the Museum, The Mummy and Resident Evil.
But that's all what really holds this game together. Because the company responsible for this went bankrupt, there are no updates to improve several aspects of it. And since it's a pretty underground game, it also doesn't have any mods to improve it. Because... My god. The controls are TERRIBLE. The only way to play it is adapting it in a specefic manner that allows you to use both your hands on the keyboard easily. The original controls are a big no no. Also, it's pretty buggy, with cutscenes focusing on a part of the scenery where nothing happens or just inserting characters in the wrong place. There was a time where my character was supposed to enter this secret door in this very short cutscene, and they got stuck on the secret wall, coming back and forth until I finally was able to release them from the wall. It was funny, but very annoying. Not to mention the bad UI and the not so well-responsive controls.
With that, some of you might be thinking "So why the ♥♥♥♥ are you recommending it then?" Well. As I said, this game is worth solely for the atmosphere. The vibes and the pulpy, campy plot. Besides all of the problems, it remains a pretty fun game.

Ignore the playtime, I finished this game but due to having to use a controller program to be able to play it on a controller properly it didn't track.
That problem aside I had a blast playing this game, feels like an old horror title and plays like one too but it was a fun few hours. 7/10

[h1]CURSE EYE OF ISIS: I wouldn’t call this a survival horror.[/h1]
Many reviews here compare Curse to Resident Evil, and I think that’s not the best comparison. This game draws heavy inspiration from Alone in the Dark, grandfather of the genre. The style and tone, the type of confrontation and the style of puzzle; all this resembles ‘Alone in the Dark’ much more than it does Resident Evil, and the genre this game belongs to I believe to be more accurately described as ‘Action Horror’ rather than ‘Survival Horror’.

[h1]Tutorial:[/h1]
[b]There is none.[/b] As many games did back then, they expect you to read the manual before playing. Inside you will find controls, basic mecanics & HUD, biographies and a bit of backstory. You could jump in without reading but I’m inclined to suggest to do so.

[h1]Graphics:[/h1]
Graphics look fine for a game this old. The characters are unique and the style is lovely, but the enemies are lacking in originality. Many animations are half-baked and certainly show the game’s age. A delightful detail in the game is how Victoria's hair mesh and sleeve ends move when transitioning from idle to aim stance.

[h1]Music and sound design: [/h1]
The sound design is problematic. Bad music choices that are too loud for the inventory. Music frequently overpowers dialogue, making it difficult to hear characters' voices. The music is mainly used for danger and solved puzzle notifications, lacking tension-building or suspenseful elements. Otherwise, the game remains silent.

[h1]Controls:[/h1]
The default controls are HORRIBLE and you can’t change the bindings. Forget the keyboard and mouse and use a gamepad. There are some community made control templates that directly copy the PS2 control set, I strongly suggest using this.

[h1]Gameplay & mechanics:[/h1]
The combat against humans feels clunky and lacks in fighting mechanics. It features an underused aiming mechanic where you can target specific weak points, it is a lock-on system. However, this mechanic is rarely necessary in the game and I only used it during boss fights.
The enemies tend to grab onto you and you have to shake them off but no clue how, so i ended up smashing all the buttons furiously – In the manual, nothing is said about this.
The game lacks a clear "mission indicator" or "objective", relying on subtle hints for the next steps to take. It encourages exploration and attentive listening to dialogue since important information might be mentioned briefly and never repeated.
The map SUCKS. It only shows the current room and a small part of nearby rooms with no option to explore or see room names. The game manual also lacks any information on how to navigate the map.
As in many horror oriented games, the inventory is designed with limited slots for documents, weapons, and general items, categorized by type. Abdul can hold items to free up space, functioning like a "Resident Evil Chest," with his last known position being crucial to the player. You can also exchange items between the two playable characters, allowing you to access items you may have forgotten on the other character.
The game uses “fighting music” as soon there is danger so it is easy to recognize when a threat is made against the player.
The “normal” difficulty setting is rather tranquil compared to other games of this genre, at no moment was i in a struggle with ammunition or health items. The most difficult thing may be locating the objective within the environment since the map is so messed up.
The game uses a mechanic where doors and access ways are randomly closed to prevent aimless roaming. Though it may not align with the game's logic or lore, it serves as a helpful feature to prevent unnecessary backtracking when the player is lost.
Map truly sucks, but once you get to know the place it is quite satisfying to play around the scenarios.

[h1]Variety of Foes & bossfights:[/h1]
Very limited enemy variety. When the game wants to make you work for your life, it throws more enemies at you rather than changing enemy types, just more of the same reskinned units. Towards the end of the game, the amount of enemies you can accumulate is unreal. This only makes more noticeable the lack of variety. Either a guy with a shotgun or a running zombie-type guy.
The boss fights are fun and not just bulletsponges, there is a puzzle in every bossfight which I won’t spoil. If you don’t get the right idea the boss simply won’t die. But the final boss is highly underwhelming and pretty boring.

[h1]Story & storytelling:[/h1]
Most of the lore exposition happens through in-game notes and files, which means you will have to read a lot to get the whole story.
The player's helper character, Abdul Wahid, possesses an unrealistic trait of knowing everything the player knows, including newly found documents. This all-knowing aspect feels out of place, and the lack of interaction or dialogue between the main character and Wahid is disappointing. Wahid's role seems limited to being an "info-box", explaining stuff in great detail without any justification for his seemingly omnipresent knowledge. The game does not even try to explain his all-seeing-eye.

[h1]Environment & Setting:[/h1]
The environment, how the scenarios are set, the atmosphere in general and the characters’ style and visuals seem to be a voluntary throwback to the grandfather of Survival horror games, and this I love.
The environment is quite lovely in design and makes me think this game would make a really good book. The major problem i find in the game’s environment is that many rooms are simply empty, no recognizable or caracteristic feature to define them..
Some camera angles and how it follows the player, like the narrow corridors, are just majestic, love how it conveys the sensation of being observed, our character is not alone in those scenes and you can clearly feel it. At that moment in time, is not a “camera”, is a pair of unknown eyes.

[h1]Characters:[/h1]
The characters basic design might be one of the weakpoints of the game. Both main characters are just a vessel for the player, a bit flat IMO. Abdul Wahid is just an info-box. The baddies are “the baddies”. Other NPCs are irrelevant since they are “one use only npcs”. I only liked the Ninja thief's plot, but unsufficiently unexplored.

[h1]Bugs and tech notes:[/h1]
The game didn't work at first and wouldn't launch.
To use a controller and have the Steam overlay you need to fix some stuff.
For some reason the language option doesn’t work from Steam so I had to manually change it in the game config files.
You can improve the game resolution, follow a guide.
I played both in English and Spanish; the spanish translation is mediocre and not dubbed.
There's a gamebreaking bug that wont let you finish the game, I've created a guide to fix this bug (no-one else did).
You can’t aim downwards, only upwards (or at least I couldn’t). Funny enough having the highground is punished in the game.
“[i]It’s over Darien, You have the highground!”[/i] [b]*shotgun blast*[/b]
Sometimes, Wahid will just T-pose there trying to intimidate the player.
One specific cutscene was bugged for some reason, probaby FPS overload.
Some ‘trigger boxes’ or ‘triggers’ are messed up, like when you want to pick up an item and you have to look in a completely different direction to actualy interact with it.

[h1]In conclusion:[/h1]
The game doesn't work out of the box, you must fix stuff.
The ingame controls are absolutely UNUSABLE. Must use a controller.
No tutorial. The game throws you in without explaining a thing, so go read the manual.
Graphics look fine with resolution changes, follow a guide for this. Underwelming final boss. Lovely story. I'd read this as a book.

Ignore my played time, I've actually spent around 8 hours in Curse: The Eye of Isis but it's not registering on Steam.

This game is very janky; bad animations, cutscenes that don't always play properly or even at all, a poor map and inventory system, and a slew of other issues. It's also very cheap and has a fun story, interesting locations, and quirky characters. If it were just the issues mentioned previously that were a problem I would have recommended it, given the price.

Unfortunately I encountered a game breaking bug which prevented me from finishing the game. In the last level a character is supposed to appear from behind a revolving door, but they glitched out and stayed on the side they were originally on. And now I cannot access them to retrieve an item I need to continue through the level.

I've tried reloading the game, turning down my frame rate just in case, looking up cheats to get said item, but no luck. I have seen other people complaining about bugs in different parts of the game that have prevented progression, and so I cannot recommend Curse: The Eye of Isis to anyone until these bugs are patched.

При прохождении этого "продукта" никак отпускало ощущение, что где-то я это уже видел, и не раз.В другой эпохе, в более качественном исполнении- но все же. А потом пришло понимание, что лучше бы я прошел еще раз то, что видел, а не это.

Сама по себе игра представляет собою откровенный проходняк, который еще и приобретает коридорность по мере прохождения. Графика сносная - в этой игре это не самое страшное, как и "стращная" атмосфера. Пугает совсем другое.
Первый запуск игры проходит под шаманские пляски с бубном, локализация ставится опять же вручную (но издателем является известная студия нетрадиционной ориентации микроидс, и я был уже готов к подобным поворотам). Управление невероятно убогое, попытка играть с джойстиком не увенчалась успехом - игра что с плоешным, что с иксбоксовским джойсиком очень сильно тупит. Пришлось приноравливаться к йоге на клавиатуре. Местная система сохранений -мое почтение, ленты для машинки и то разумнее выглядели.

Багов, даже после начальных танцев с бубном хватает более чем, не раз пришлось умереть от застреваний в самых неподходящих местах и топать еще полчаса до того места после - очень здорово. В одном месте произошел полный затык, из-за которого все прохождение встало в тупик - пришлось искать сохранение. И нафиг такое прохождение нужно, спрашивается.

У игры неплохая задумка, но кривая реализация портит все впечатление от этого прохождения. Однозначно не рекомендую подобное покупать, а тем более играть

It's a dull resident evil clone with curse mechanic and tank controls. There are so many better variants of this game out there that I can only recommend this for historical preservation purposes.

Curse: The Eye of Isis is a "survival horror" game by Asylum Entertainment developed for Windows PC and Xbox Original as well as for Playstation 2 in Europe only; here's what I can tell you about this game: I put quotations around survival horror for a reason. It's a game that wears the skin of an old survival horror game, it has the fixed camera angles and the inventory management, puzzles, all the nine yards. But let me introduce a concept, have you ever heard of Asylum Films? Their movies consist of low budget knock offs with poor special effects, hammy acting, and strange design choices that reek of low effort cash grab and are definitely not scary. This may have had some effort but I can't think of anything more fitting considering Asylum Entertainment (probably not related) made this game. I'll start with the plot here:

The plot involves [spoiler] a thief breaking into a museum in London during the 1890s to steal the titular Eye of Isis statue, the dumb f u c k breaks it or something and a curse is released. Things go haywire and young Darien Dane goes to the museum to meet up with old childhood friend Victoria Sutton. I can't remember too much in terms of plot stuff, but you meet up with a guy named Abdul (the only actual source of real scares in this game) who can hold items and you both go search for Victoria. Hijinks happen I guess, there's stuff with the actual thief (named Le Chat here), mummy monsters, goons with guns roaming around, Darien gets cursed at one point and Victoria has to cure him three times. There's notes about the curse and how originally the Sutton and Dane families found the Statue in Egypt and then took it I guess? Eventually they chase after the thief who boards a boat led by some Humpty Dumpty lookin f u c ker named Bupo. You go through a ship to do....something? Whatever the case, you finally pop back to the actual Pyramid in Egypt to find both the thief, Bupo and MORE magical monsters who want to breathe on you harder than Matt Gaetz at a day care center. You finally go through all of that to stop this curse and you learn some stuff like Le Chat is actually Victoria's twin sister? Where this came from I don't know, and also Bupo turns into something akin to The Master from Fallout and after putting the statue back the curse finally comes to an end.[/spoiler]

So what did I think of this plot? It's confusing, forgettable, most of the characters don't have much in the way of personality, and I truly struggled understanding what's going on most of the time and even while reading notes it's just kind of boring. [spoiler]Like where did the twin sister thing come from? That plot thread felt forced and hammy. Who is Bupo other than some random collector guy?[/spoiler] Actually I'm gonna combine the plot section with sound design, art design, and everything else because I don't have too much to say here other than this game feels like it was supposed to be more of an Indiana Jones film than anything else, just dressed up with a "horror coating", the VA is ok, the locations (The Museum/Sewers, The Ship, the Pyramid) are boring and one note for the most part, again there's not much in the way of personality for anybody really (like I don't remember Darien saying much other than "Great Scott" til the end of the game) and keep in mind I'm not gonna really remember the plot as much as I will the gameplay: or better yet my janky experience thereof.

The gameplay was...mixed for me to say the least. The first I'll go into was glitches, I couldn't even get this game to load updates properly because it would sit in the install update thing for hours which I didn't find a fix for so that it probably contributed to glitches in my actual play through. For starters, I literally couldn't play the game past the first save area because it kept crashing until a friend sent me her save file (shoutout to Jinx btw thank you), when I pause the game it'll randomly just boot me out at strange times, legs would randomly spin around in a helicopter motion on the pause menu and continue until later in the game (more funny than anything else), one enemy who was chasing me decided to run back in the opposite direction into a wall or something and kept running in motions; in the Egypt levels Victoria won't go through the spinning doors properly, I could've been softlocked because Abdul wouldn't pop through the revolving door so I couldn't get a flamethrower to light up some candles but luckily I did, the Scorpion boss made me crash three times towards the end. It's
hilarious how many I encountered playing this game, and I'll post some later here at the end.

The actual gameplay you'll do some survival horrorey stuff like solve puzzles, conserve ammo and health, etc. It's not awful the way they do it, of course I broke out a guide (this is a good one: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=942210108) to figure out what I was doing so I can't say much cause I suck. What I can say is that enemies consist of undead mummies or corpses for the most part, which is fine but they also have one special ability: the ability to breathe on you and give you the curse which will slowly lower your health over time unless you use amulets you pick off of dead bodies (which heals you and gets rid of curses but I don't think that was explained well) or menthol jars. I don't mind combat being mixed up but in certain cases I would get cursed because the cameras were orientated in a strange manner, which when moving between cameras have this thing where instead of continuing to move in a consistent manner in that direction makes you move in the other way so then you have to kind of spin and reorient yourself and it just feels weird. Speaking of controls? The PC controls f u c king blow and the controller support is worse so I had to buy this app- https://store.steampowered.com/app/367670/Controller_Companion/ (great by the way) and used this guide: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=648605819) to put in good controller support stuff so I could actually play the game in a comfortable manner. When fixed camera angles are done well it can be atmospheric and great but in this it's more of a detriment to fight against, the gun combat (though maybe a glitch) I had trouble locking onto enemies sometimes and would aim next to them even if there's no other enemies in the room. I guess if I had to add another thing is that with the limited inventory space you have to go to Abdul in order to switch out items as well as save your progress, and let me tell you this guy is dedicated to his job. He literally provides 100 percent of the scares coming out of strange places and hiding spots, yelling your name and plot exposition while some goofy genie music plays in the background. It can get kind of tedious but overall it was tolerable for the most part.

I don't hate this game, but truthfully it's obtuse, confusing to fix up and patch and generally kind of dull. Also my playtime didn't count (I had 5 hours) so I had to leave the start up menu on so I could write this up. It came out in 2004, I know some things were a product of it's time and if you're willing to put in the time and effort to fix the damn thing in certain spots for 2.99 it's not the worst price but there are better and more interesting games you could be playing. Сюжет стартує банально: Ніч, похмурий Лондон і музей, в якому криворукий злодій під час крадіжки активував артефакт, тим самим пробудив прокляття стародавнього Єгипту… Наш головний герой Едвард Карнбі детектив та фахівець з паранормальних явищ… Ой, точніше Доріан Грей… Дейн, Доріан Дейн – єдиний хто може вирішити цю ситуацію і його помічниця Вікторія Мімімімімімімі. Чесно Хз чим все закінчиться бо мене відштовхнув геймплейн, можливо у когось вистачить духу. 😢

Неозброєним оком видно, що надихались іграми типу «Resident evil», хоча вже зараз цей вид геймплею мертвий. Ну ви мали бачити нові ремейки від «Capcom».👌
Та і керування в подібній грі було краще зроблене, а саме в «Alone in the dark: the new nightmare» яка вийшла 2001… за два роки до «Curse»🙄

Сама графіка на свій рік достатньо файна, саундтрек ніякий та і більше мені про цю гру писати нічого.🧐

I only really recommend this game because it's a cool retro mummy game. It's like an old-fashioned RE game but without zombies and just mummies who are inflicted by a curse in which are possessed and attack you throughout the game.

For the price the game is worth the try because even if you dislike it, it's literally only 3 dollars so it's not a huge waste if you decide not to play it.

The real con's of the game are there are a lot of bugs, so much so you can soft lock the game if you do something you weren't supposed to do or even picking up an item and not to mention your character's body breaks at certain points and it looks like half his body is spinning while the other half is in place.

This is a type of game where you would need to make two saves in case your save is bugged or you made a mistake along the way and don't want to restart the game over, it's not worth more than one play through.

Plus another con is certain boss fights take long, stupidly long, I fought one bear for 30 mins and then another bear for 20 mins, really bullet sponge bosses and the sad part is the bosses later, in the end, die faster which makes no sense.

Id really rate it a 5/10 in all honesty.

Es dificil empezar a hablar de [b]Curse: The Eye of Isis[/b] sin caer en la crueldad de sus defectos, que no se cuentan con los dedos de las manos precisamente. A simple rasgos, estamos ante un survival horror de la vieja escuela, con ángulos de cámara fijos y una aventura en la época victoriana, que no innova ni arriesga en lo absoluto para plantarse en una fecha donde el género estaba completamente desbordado. Pero todo esto empeora en este port para PC.

[b]Curse: The Eye of Isis[/b] posee una historia interesante que peca de cliché en varios momentos. Sin embargo es destacable la ambientación oscura, la temática dioses de Egipto y la selección curiosa de objetos propios de la edad victoriana. El problema es que estos fueron sus únicos aspectos favorables, porque de ahora en más es un abismo sin fondo.

Parte todo de un gameplay catastrófico con unos controles inmanejables. Jugar con mouse y teclado es literalmente imposible y con suerte se consigue usando el gamepad. La IA es completamente estúpida al punto que no es necesario usar ningún arma más que una porra para matarlos a todos. ¡Ah, pero cuando te aparece el oso gris te mete hasta los huevos! Tenés que adivinar en qué momento exacto hay que golpearlo porque el juego no te da ni una ayuda al respecto. Y no te vayas a olvidar de tu objetivo, porque una vez que te lo dijeron, ya no hay manera de volver a saber en que constaba. Podés consultar el mapa, pero no posee referencia de ningún tipo ni siquiera dónde joraca está el turco que te permite guardar la partida. Todo esto está aderezado con bugs de lo más ridículos incluso algunos game-breaking que te pueden arruinar completamente la experiencia si no fuiste salvando la partida en slots distintos. Pero quietos ahí que aún hay más. Aún no mencioné los ángulos de cámara que entorpecen cada combate, el apartado sonoro de muy baja calidad y la brillante idea de puzzles basados en prueba y error.

Si aún así la nostalgia pudo con vos y querés probarlo, te aconsejo hurgar por los rincones más oscuros de internet para subsanar cada problema que el juego tiene. Afortunadamente esa información es posible encontrarla en Steam. La duración del juego está en aproximadamente 8hs y puede llegar a valer muy poco (83% off).

I enjoyed Curse: the Eye of Isis a lot. It’s of the Resident Evil-school of game design, following the template pretty closely. But instead of a killer virus ravaging a mansion, you’re fighting a living curse spreading around a giant museum, waking up mummies and locking all the doors.

It features a pretty forgiving enemy design, and enough health tonics and ammunition around to keep you topped off indefinitely. That last part doesn’t just turn the game into a manageable survival horror romp -- it turns it into a pretty fun one too. One where the stakes aren’t too high, and where curveballs are few and far between.

This drastically lessens the game as [i]horror[/i], mind you. You won’t need to change underwear any time as you’re playing this. The presentation is actually all over the place, from dark and grotesque to outright goofy. I guess the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree. But that’s okay. Instead, it opts for the familiar and safe.

It’s not a refined or polished game by any stretch of the imagination. But for some reason I keep making excuses for it. I really do like it. But I guess your mileage may vary based on how much [i]jank[/i] you can put up with. It’s not too bad though. I don’t know. Check it out. Or not?

От "Curse: The Eye of Isis" я ничего не ожидал, да и перед покупкой практически ничего про неё не знал. Зацепило в этой игре пару вещей: жанр - survival horror, мрачный сеттинг, низкая стоимость (15 рублей на распродаже) и хороший процент положительных отзывов (на момент написания обзора - 78% положительных отзывов). После прохождения игра вызвала у меня смешанные эмоции, и даже сейчас я немного колеблюсь, какую именно ставить ей оценку: положительную или отрицательную? Но всё-таки я выбрал второе и сейчас объясню почему.

В начале игра тебя заинтересовывает: мрачный английский музей, в котором таинственный человек ворует артефакт, освобождает неведомую силу, которая убивает людей и превращает их в зомби; а главный герой Дэриен пытается разобраться, что к чему. Вдобавок, игра даёт тебе лишь немного ресурсов для борьбы с ними: сначала дубинка, потом двустволка с парой патронов... Но увы, это лишь поначалу.

[*][b]Сюжет.[/b] Здесь он средний и неинтересный. Лично я следил за ним с пресной миной, а сюжетные твисты не вызывают должных эмоций.

[*][b]Геймплей.[/b] Поначалу, ты ощущаешь некую хардкорность, где у тебя ограниченное количество ресурсов (аптечек, патронов), а врагов - много, но где-то с середины первой локации (а их тут 3) всё сразу становится легче. Оружия предостаточно, патронов к каждому дофига (а у огнемёта фактически бесконечное топливо), аптечек хоть и немного поменьше, но из-за того, что враги тупы и ты их держишь на расстоянии, ты в них не особо нуждаешься. Да и не особо чувствуешь трудностей на Hard'е, но стоит отметить, что бывают моменты, когда сложновато: то отберут у тебя всё оружие, то врагов много и они тебя окружают, то под конец пару раз попадутся жрецы, которых очень сложно убить и от которых сложно уворачиваться. Но по большей части, игра относительно быстро теряет свою хардкорность.

Боссы могли немного поменять картину, но увы, и тут прокол: в основном, к ним применяешь одну и ту же тактику в виде стрельбы в определённые места, пока босс не умрёт. Исключением является [spoiler]восставший козёл, которого надо задеть крюком (но честно, я смог понять, как его победить, только после просмотра прохождения).[/spoiler]

[*][b]Атмосфера.[/b] Схожая картина: поначалу чувствуешь дискомфорт, напряжённость, но это быстро улетучивается: локации всегда освещены, врагов хоть и предостаточно, но патронов на всех хватит. Но стоит отметить, было пару моментов, которые меня лично немного испугали, но их ничтожно мало и все связаны с игрой ракурса.

[*][b]Управление и навигация.[/b] По умолчанию управление тут вообще не удобное, и приходится или всё менять под себя, или подключать геймпад и уже его настраивать под себя. Вдобавок, тут очень странная камера: моментами ты вообще не видишь полностью комнату, из-за чего с врагами или боссами сложно сражаться, т.к. ты их попросту не видишь (а прицела тоже не видно). С навигацией также есть проблемы: иногда просто непонятно, что делать, куда идти (благо, прохождения есть, и они могут помочь).

[*][b]Технические проблемы.[/b] Их тут слишком много! Тут и проблемы с запуском игры (можете почитать [url=https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2696549034]мой гайд[/url] по этому вопросу), да и во время прохождения их немало: начиная от мелких (не видны сохранения, не прогружаются текстуры, застревания в них, свет странно отображается: то его нет, то дикий пересвет), которые решаются обычным перезапуском, и заканчивая серьёзными, которые мешают дальнейшему прохождению (лично у меня самым забагованым оказался самый последний уровень, пирамида Озириса: там у меня не срабатывали некоторые скрипты, из-за которых не проигрывали кат-сцены или не происходил переход на другой уровень). Благо, это всё решаемо, но в определённых моментах может вызвать трудности.

Честно, нельзя сказать, что "Curse: The Eye of Isis" - ужаснейшная игра: лично у меня она не вызывала прям негативных эмоций (ну кроме как багов в определённых моментах). Если бы можно было поставить смешанную оценку, я бы именно её поставил, но увы, такой возможности пока нет. Да, я не особо жалею о потраченном времени, но и не могу сказать, что игра достойна прохождения: ярких эмоций я не получил, а вот от пресного сюжета и геймплея я откровенно скучал.

Играйте на свой страх и риск (игра всё-таки стоит копейки на данный момент, особенно на распродажах), но лично я не рекомендую "Curse: The Eye of Isis" к прохождению.

- mechanika walki to całkowite kuriozum - przykłady można by wymieniać długo, ale jeśli w potyczkach z uzbrojonymi w strzelby bandziorami najlepiej sprawdza się drewniana pałka (!), którą młoda, drobna kobieta rozkłada czterech (!) zbirów jednocześnie (choć de facto jednego po drugim) to jest to całkiem dobre podsumowanie całości

Curse: The Eye of Isis is arguably one of the worst survival horror games ever made. While the plot is original and the graphics and such look nice, and the concept itself is decent, it is a really really badly executed mess of a game. The PC port is terrible too. Playing on console would make it a whole lot better to play but that won't change the fact that the game itself isn't very good. Do I recommend buying this? Nah lol, if you're a collector, get it on console. PC port is far from the correct way to go.

Добротный олдскульный хоррор- шутер. Многие пишут об этой игре очень плохие отзывы, но незаслуженно.
хорошая оптимизация, атмосферный саунд, интересный сюжет, занимательный геймплей.
стиль старых Resident of Evil с неудобной статичной камерой. Но это играет на атмосферу, я заметил очень красивые неожиданные ракурсы, а так же эффект неожиданности, когда камера меняет ракурс и враг оказывается прямо перед главным героем. Часто бывает неудобно прицеливаться, но перейдя в другой угол комнаты враг оказывается прямо как на ладони.
Кроме того, друзья, где вы в 2021 найдете старый Резик, а Curse достойный клон со своими находками.
Боссы- интересные и трудные, а так же зомби, муммии, бандиты. С каждым противником свои принципы боя. Наивные диалоги, в стиле дешевых кино 80х.
Баги были, но не серьезные, и очень мало. Если честно, то я нашел только один баг, который легко устранился сам.
ДРУЗЬЯ, ВНИМАНИЕ, У КОГО ПРОБЛЕМЫ С УПРАВЛЕНИЕМ СКАЧАЙТЕ POWERTOYS.

Хоррорная часть хорошая, но для искушенного геймера она не очень пугающая.
А теперь советы. Не волнуйтесь- спойлеров не будет.
В музее постарайтесь отдать главной героине как можно меньше оружия, патронов, лечения и прочего нужного барахла, ибо наша героиня все потеряет.
А вот на корабле наоборот заберите у главного героя все оружие, потому что на этот раз он все растеряет (предметы и барахло у него останется, а вот оружие он все потеряет)
в музее постарайтесь накопить как можно больше патронов, сотню или две сотни.
Далее про оружие: самое бесполезное оружие это миномет (подходит только для самоубийц)
арбалет хорошее оружие, но в игре слишком мало стрел, потому не делайте ставку на него.
дробовик одно из лучших оружий, но экономьте патроны для важных схваток.
огнемет самое топовое оружие, а канистры можно бесконечно восстанавливать. С огнеметом можно пройти половину игры.
ружье и пистолет это необходимое оружие. смотрите сами что вам больше по душе, мне больше понравилось ружье, но я его просрал.
палка или дубина,- если нет патронов самое то, в принципе любого рядового врага можно забить палкой, но для боссов не подойдет, имейте ввиду.

After about 7-8 hours of playtime, "Curse: The Eye of Isis" turned out to be an alright game. It's nothing groundbreaking, but it possesses a humble, curious charm on its Egyptian spin on the Resident Evil formula. The current $3 price tag is completely fair, and I even got the game for fifty cents on a sale. If you want a budget, less-gory evocation of the classic RE formula, than feel free to give this game a go. Just keep in mind that you will need to rebind and get used to the controls, and don't pick up the bucket of water as Darien!

A pretty great survival horror game that had, and continues to fly under the radar. It’s obviously inspired by the likes of RE and Silent Hill, but to call it a clone of those things would be disingenuous. It brings a lot of its own ideas to the table and it has atmosphere to spare. I think it's a crime this game is underrated and at its price it's a steal. If you have any love for the survival horror genre you owe it to yourself to play this.

Un juego de terror de la generación de Playstation 2 (donde pululaban este tipo de juegos con grandísimas entregas) que se me pasó por alto. Nunca había escuchado nada de este juego hasta que lo encontré en Steam. Lo compré en oferta por menos de 10 pesos argentinos (creo que 7, u 8), o sea, lo que vale un caramelo. No esperaba mucho del mismo, sin embargo me sorprendió para bien. Me encontré con un juego bastante sólido dentro del género (inferior si se lo compara a ejemplos de la época como Silent Hill 3, Fatal Frame 2, Eternal Darkness o Resident Evil Outbreak por nombrar algunos), pero no por eso siendo un mal juego. Con una historia interesante enfocado a la mitología egipcia, me pareció particularmente interesante la primer parte que transcurre en un museo y tiene algunas secciones bastante perturbadoras y bien logradas.

Tiene sus fallas y partes flojas, seguro. Los controles son medio toscos y difíciles de configurar, aunque he visto peores... Los gráficos de los personajes son algo exagerados, incluido lo de los enemigos, pero no es algo que llegue a molestar, hasta le da un toque bizarro cómico a día de hoy. Los combates son muy fáciles, en gran parte debido a la poca inteligencia artificial de los enemigos, pero tampoco es algo que arruine la experiencia.
Para terminar con la parte mala, si buscás en la comunidad de Steam o en internet podés encontrar una manera muy fácil de hacer que el juego se vea mejor, te cuente las horas en Steam, puedas capturar pantalla y ande mejor en general. Tan fácil es de hacerlo que da un poco de bronca que no lo hayan hecho los mismos editores, pero bueno. Si te gustan los juegos de terror de esa época este es una buena opción a tener en cuenta. Su precio lo vale.

Curse: The Exe of Isis will etwas von Resident Evil Torte abbekommen und damals für ein Game 2003 sieht es heute auch ned bad aus. Hierbei spielt man zwei Spielcharakteren, Darien und Victoria, zwischendurch wechselt man die Spielfiguren im Spiel.

Darian muss die verschollene Victoria finden und zugleich die Isis Statur zurück ins Ägypten bringen, dazu wird er ein Unbekannten Fluch heimgesucht. Abdul ist sein Begleiter, der damals auch sein Vater von Darian in seinen Expeditionen begleitet hat, hierzu gibt Abdul Informationen,Dokumenten und Ratschläge. Speichern und Inventar kann man bei Bro-Abdul übrigens auch.....Was für ein Gutmensch.

Fazit:Ich bekam das Game für gerade einmal für 0,29Cent, was für Spielzeit & Fun mehr mehr mehr mehr mehr mehr mehr als Gerecht sind. Wer also bisschen Resident Evil im Groß Britannien und im Ägypten machen will und die Cons Leben kann, zugreifen!

まず、この作品を一言で表現するならば、「無印バイオ」と言っても過言ではない程、内容が酷似していました。にも関わらず、日本のユーチューバーが、未だに日本語のプレイ動画を投稿していないのが不思議です。恐らく、翻訳に梃子摺る可能性があるからなのかもしれません。しかしながら、日本人でも、十分楽しめる作品である事は間違いないだろうと思います。一方、難印度に関しては、バイオハザードよりも簡単という印象を受けました。よって、一度プレイしてみる価値ありです。因みに、ゲーム中に、４回死にました。

Juego de terror de cámaras fijas de la vieja escuela, el juego en si esta bien pero hay que recalcar que tiene varios puntos negativos. El juego con teclado y ratón es injugable, si no tienes mando en pc abstente de comprarlo no vas a poder jugar bien y te va a parecer horrible (hay que destacar que para el mando hay que configurar todo) , aparte de esto tiene unos bug por el final del juego con unas paredes giratorias que hace que pierdas guardados o no puedas seguir en el juego obligándote a cargar un punto anterior, a pesar de eso es un buen juego de la vieja usanza aunque no esperes un juegazo.

Plays like resident evil or silent hill(fixed camera angles which sometimes move to certain degree)
2 characters you only switch when story demands it. Inventory system,UI like in RE or SH games.

Shooting requires to you focus on a target for a while, then you can deal great damage, if you dont focus shots are weak like farts.
Cool? No. Because game has a lot of enemies including ones that shoot you back(big chunk of adversaries are ordinary human with shotguns) so it gets boring really fast. I advise you to just run past 'em

Game seemed decent, but after first large museum area game has nothing new to show you. You shoot a lot of stuff(just don't, use wooden baton, that is the most reliable weapon btw.) and wonder around clueless what to do next.
Game gives you scarce clues about what to do next, rooms are rarely labeled, and if some npc tells you what you should do but you didnt memorize it, well.. too bad. Other games from same genre do it a lot better.

I not often give up on games but this one was just tiring. I uninstalled it before last chapter. Comparing to other survival horror it gets really bland after few hours, too bad because the setting is great.

This is an ancient 3rd person console ported adventure game with mild action elements set in the late 19th century. Guide a cliche 19th century adventure man through a bunch of old buildings and tunnels and things.

The game doesn't launch properly under the latest Windows 10 builds, it goes into an "installing" phase and then the installer locks up. You can kind of trick the game into running if you're careful, but it's a terrible console game so why would you want to do that?

Pros:
+Classic Survival Horror Feel.
+Creepy and well done environments.
+Likable protagonists.
+19th century London is a unique and fun setting.

Cons:
-A bit on the easy side.
-Enemy AI is pretty dumb.
-Some minor installation issues as well as a few bugs.
-Camera angles can be a hindrance during combat.

Curse: The Eye of Isis flew under the radar for many which is a shame because it is a very unique and well done survival horror game. The camera work reminds me of Resident Evil: Code Veronica, but one thing Curse has over the older RE games is that you can move while aiming, making combat much easier to navigate. Also, you have a choice between RE-style tank controls or more modern 3D movement which will please classic survival horror enthusiasts as well as more casual gamers. The game is pretty easy, and I don't remember dying once throughout my first playthrough. Enemies are not too intelligent either, and boss battles are pretty simple once you figure out weak points, which are made even easier to hit because of the games limb-targeting system. You are also provided plenty of ammunition and healing items throughout, and you even have a very reliable melee weapon to fall back on. Curse: The Eye of Isis is a great survival horror game that isn't too difficult, and for only $3 on Steam, it won't hurt your wallet either!

I only really recommend this game to survival horror fans, as it's not exactly the best of its kind.I encountered some lighting bugs and many animations and models could certainly look a bit better even for 2003 standards.I started playing on the "Difficult" difficulty but to be honest, it wasn't that hard at all. It's actually very easy to dodge attacks, perhaps not allowing to walk while aiming would've helped balance it out.Some camera angles won't update if you go through a certain path, or sometimes they automatically move to the left or right as you walk forward, not allowing you to explore certain corners freely (the character will be completely out of frame in some of those instances).All in all, it was an interesting survival horror experience considering it was dirt cheap on sale and that's mainly why I choose to recommend it.This game could REALLY use a remake, since the setting and story were fairly interesting but it lacks polish and stuff like replay value, etc.

Segunda vez que lo juego , se podria decir quee s n jeugo de infancia ..lo compré ( en oferta) a pesar de que lo teng en fisico , para tenerlo en steam y porque me traia varios recuerdo y de hecho no pierde lo bueno.

La primera vez era muy pequeño y tardé muchisimo en pasarlo y con el gran inconveniente de llegar al final sin munición y curación ...ahora por segunda vez el juego me sigue gustando ,lo recomiendo un 1000% a un cuando la duracion real es entre 9-10 horas disfrutandolo en su totalidad , en cuanto a la dificultad no es nada del otro mundo (salvo algunas " misiones" que debes estar muy orientado con el escenario y el mapa no es de mucha ayuda la verdad , aunque igual tiene cierta "linealidad" en el camino pero se debe estar atento para no perderse) , pero igual es un juego que te mantiene en tensión y quizas te saca algún susto , se recomienda jugarlo de noche y con audifonos , no es juego del año pero debes jugarlo

Lo ultimo en comentar es respecto a los CONTROLES y es que no son los clasicos awsd sino que son el mouse y las flechas ( las cofiguraciones antiguas) ...las de caminar no se pueden modificar y se recomienda igual no cambiar las del mouse ,pero si almenos a mi me acomodó llevar la tecla para abrir inventario ,recargar y el cambiar zona de apuntado del arma a las teclas numericas mas carcanas a las flechas (0,1,2) por lo que en un comienzo podria costar acostrumbrarse pero vale la pena .

IMPORTANTE: No se si a alguien mas le puede dar problemas pero me ocurrió que la configuracion que hice de controles al cerrar el juego y ya al otro dia volver a jugarlo se me volvia a restablecer y debia cada vez volver a configurarlos , hasta que me di cuenta que el problema me ocurrió al iniciar el juego desde el boton jugar de STEAM , por lo que se recomienda iniciar el juego desde el icono del escritorio para evitar ese problema.

Curse: the Eye of Isis for the most part is a pretty competent survival horror that starts off solid, struggles in the middle part but picks up again in the finale. I had a blast playing through it and I guess I must've slept on this title. The game does have many shortcomings, some of them I feel I can forgive for it clearly being a budget title. The game can be really weird, sometimes buggy. It's oddities are either charming or downright baffling/annoying.

GOOD
+ This is a good looking game for the era. I enjoy the cartoony characters and the detailed environments. They reminded me of Timesplitters! Animations are less than adequate but don't detract from the experience overall.
+ The sound design is really interesting in this game, each enemy type has it's own little jingle which I found kinda cute. This includes our sidekick save-boy Abdul, it's always a good time when you hear his little music cue after a boss fight!

+ Music is decent and holds true to the Egyptian themes of the story. A lot of thought was put into environmental sounds and ambiences to put you on edge. Subtle drones and knocking/banging which I appreciate.
+ Voice acting is all decent. Though for some (maybe financial reasons), our two main characters Darien & Victoria seem to talk sometimes but more often than not stay mute. Even when spoken to. Darien's VA is none other than David Gasman (Indigo Prophecy/Rayman/Alone in the Dark). Which was fun and I wish they used him more in this game.

+ The combat and level exploration, item management and puzzles etc is all very classic survival horror. But it's simplistic in it's approach. The game is very accessible to pick up and play. I assigned it to a controller with classic RE controls.
+ The story is interesting albeit rather minimal in how it is told.

+ The camera is MENTAL in this game. For the most part the dynamic fixed angles are satisfying and very artistically placed. It's fixed to highlight items/ points of interest, as well as just framing a scene so that it appears more claustrophobic or stylish! The game will attempt many jump-scares by placing the camera somewhere naughty.
+ The yellow curse fart gas (lol) is a cool feature of the game, it's used creatively to block off certain areas and every dead enemy releases curse mist which then reincarnates another dead enemy. Can get pretty intense.

BAD
- Sometimes the camera will decide not to co-operate at all. Your character will wander way off screen taking damage or just getting lost in the ether while the camera just gets trapped somehow.
- The game is very buggy. A lot of the bugs are humorous. Enemies sometimes grunt when they're dead, friendly characters sometimes lose their necks so they look like these little stumpy munchkins. Music, sometimes cuts out too early or plays over other music. Just to name a few.

- The game uses an inventory capacity system like the Resident Evil chest. However in this game, the 'save room' is a man. His name is Abdul and he also will hold onto your excess luggage. Abdul can be somewhat unpredictable at times, I often found myself getting lost after making good progress just waiting for Abdul to show up so I could save and free up some space.
- Volume levels at times are all over the place. Dialogue can be too quiet. Music and sound effects too loud. Every damn time you boot up the inventory it plays THE MOST DRAMATIC MUSIC EVER and it's a headache almost immediately. I swear towards the end of the game the sound stingers for jump-scare moments were crazy loud on headphones. But never scary.

- Hit boxes can range from perfect range to absolutely way off. Often you need to use an item and unless you're squared up the way the game wants you to be (which can be really inconsistent) it will not let you use it. You might even do what I did and wander around aimlessly for hours only to come back to said item prompt and then it suddenly works.
- Speaking of wandering aimlessly....the game at times will leave you high and dry with massive areas to explore. This is usually fine and good depending on the game. But the map is pants. Sometimes, to progress you have to stand in a very precise part of the floor to trigger a cut-scene (for no good reason).

- The combat although satisfying has it's flaws. I found the 'target different limbs' feature inadequate and for the most part ended up falling back on the mighty Truncheon, circle strafing around them and smacking them till they submit. They always die in the same amount of hits. It's pretty easy.
- The game feels really airy and light to move which is nice at first, but every tight narrow corridor you're going to have to reorient yourself and figure out where you are when the camera changes position. The game would have benefited massively from tank controls.
- Sudden and abrupt ending was rather underwhelming.

Overall this somewhat campy and charming b-movie style survival horror is more spooky than scary. But that's okay, because although it is rough around the edges I appreciate that this is a budget title and a lot of passion went into making it. The time period with the dress sense, weapons and overall design is really nice aesthetically. It looks good, and it sounds good (for the most part). If you are a fan of the genre then you should absolutely play this game. Once you get stuck into the games control feel and mechanics it's quite addictive, and the switching between the two main protagonists keeps it from becoming stale. Beating mummies with a truncheon never felt so good!

Curse: The Eye of Isis is more than just a garden variety resident evil clone. It's a diamond in the rough.

First let me cover the bad. Contols are janky as f*ck. It took me a while to get used to the 'mouselook' while pushing the keyboard arrows. If you're unlucky like me, you *might* run into a game breaking bug like the Egyptian key not spawning. After restarting my game, it was no longer a problem. So, save often and to different slots in case something breaks so you don't have to start all over like I did haha. Sometimes you can get cornered by enemies if you're not careful. :P

Now for the good. Everything else! For 2003, those graphics were pretty good and they did some pretty innovative things with effects that I didn't see often in games during that time. The music is delightfully spooky, and the voice acting is pretty damn good. I was completely sucked in as I followed the story from start to finish. I loved that all the 'documents' and scraps of paper I found were nice and long for lots of reading. I even learned some things about ancient Egypt that I hadn't previously known.

If you're looking for a vintage, janky, spooky adventure-- Curse: The Eye of Isis may be just what you are looking for. And at less than $3 for several hours of gameplay, puzzles, and story, I'd say it is a steal. Take a walk down memory land and remember when some games were still good even when they were 'bad'. Thumbs up, my darlings. :)

这个游戏就像老生化一样，解谜加上射击，老生化粉应该会喜欢
操作方面一开始可能觉得有些蹩脚，鼠标加方向键移动，习惯了之后也就那样
场景非常丰富，从一开始的大英博物馆，到阴暗潮湿的伦敦下水道，然后是游轮，最后来到了埃及金字塔，比如一开始的博物馆虽然场景复杂，但实际每段剧情能走的路分岔不是很多，不用太担心迷路，但是游轮那关稍微有点绕
有些剧情推动的线索是要根据人物对话跟收集的文档来推断的，对英文有一定要求
Steam社区指南里有很详细的攻略，然后youtube上也有攻略视频，然后指南也有解决游戏不启动steamoverlay的解决方案（不启动steamoverlay的话没法使用截图，显示帧数那些功能）
然后对于开始游戏后一直卡在安装游戏插件的问题，你可以在steam询问你是否打开这个游戏的时候选否，然后游戏就莫名其妙打开了，亦或是卡住的时候打开另一个游戏，这样游戏也会打开

良くも悪くもバイオハザード（サイレントヒル）系です。
そのため、それ系のシリーズに慣れ親しんでいれば感覚的に即順応できます。
舞台はイギリスの大英博物館から始まり、エジプトの「イシスの目」という遺物を巡るホラーADV展開となります。
武器は鈍器、銃、火炎放射などで、それらもバイオ系の感覚で扱えます。

問題は操作性で、パッド推奨です。キーボードだとキーバインドが苦しくストレスになるでしょう。
（バイオハザードをキーボード操作するイメージをしてもらえればわかるはず）
箱コンで認識できました。
ただ、いわゆる「ラジコン操作」ではなく、初代パラサイトイヴのような「倒した方向へ向かう」システムのため、画面アングルの変化によって方向が変わり混乱します。
ここは、「一旦止まる」ことである程度解決します。

難易度はそこまで難しくなく、謎解きもバイオ２～３程度のものでパッと見た瞬間気づくレベルです。
敵は時折びっくりさせられますが、回復手段も多く弾薬も豊富なため、雰囲気を味わいつつ進めます。
全編英語ですが、そこまで難しくなく理解しなくても何となく判る範囲内です。
「かゆうま日記」みたいなものが主です。

終盤、バグに遭遇したことがかなり厳しいものがありました。（スカラベのことではない）
最終的にはクリアできましたが、いくつか危ないバグがありましたので紹介しておきます。

１．エイム不能バグ
　　敵にエイムしようとする（バイオでいう敵に銃を構える）と、何故か反対を向いてしまう。
　　撃つとたまに当たるため、何とか突破はできる。
　　動きも固まるのでストレスが溜まる。（そのうち直るが再発する）

２．回転壁のバグ
　　終盤登場する仕掛けですが、回転壁のこちら側にいるはずの人が向こう側にいて
　　アクセスできないことがある。
　　（逆に向こうにいるはずの人がこちら側にいることもあり）
　　また、回転壁を通って向こう側へ行く場面で、バグって戻ってしまう。
　　（下手するとこれは進行不能になる）
　　「ムービーパートキャンセル連打＋行きたい方へ走る」で何とか突破できました。

まだ細かなバグはある感じでしたが、何とかなるかと思います。
詰みセーブ防止のため、キャラが変わった後などは別の場所にセーブしておいた方がいいかも。

全体的に、思いのほか楽しめるホラーADVでした。
個人的に、もうちょっと戦闘難易度が高くても良かったかと思います。
『ハムナプトラ』シリーズが好きな人にもお勧めです。

＜世界観レビュー＞

とにかく、『ハムナプトラ』１と２の空気が伝わってきます。
ホラー演出寄りにした『ハムナプトラ』ですｗ
バイオと掛け合わせたらこうなったという感じ。
博物館内やピラミッド、地下トンネル辺りはジワジワ来ますが、船内は広い上に機械的な構造が多く疲れました。

Oldschoolová hororovka inspirovaná egyptskou mytologií. Grafika odpovídá stáří, ale zvuková stránka je i vzhledem k dnešním standardům velice dobře provedená. Obtížnost též odpovídá stáří, kdo čeká nějaké vodění za ručičku ve stylu dnešních her, raději o hraní dvakrát popřemýšlejte. Příběh je postačující, ačkoliv mohl být lepší. Co se hře nepovedlo je ale ovládání a kamera, zvyknout si zabere nějaký čas.

Encontré éste juego en las ofertas de Steam a un precio demasiado bajo y, puesto que se trataba de un Survival Horror del cual jamás había escuchado, decidí comprarlo. A ver, el juego me costo unos $7 argentinos (algo así como 0.15 cvos de dolar) y por ese precio no me puedo quejar de nada ni me arrepiento de haberlo comprado (acá en Argentina con $7 te compras 3 caramelos XD) pero vamos a obviar eso y a centrarnos en el juego como tal.

El juego es de la época de la PS2 y como tal, su port para PC es pésimo, con unos controles que no responden del todo bien y con algún que otro bug. Pero eso es algo común cuando se compra un juego de PS2 en Steam, con lo cual no creo que sea motivo de crítica para el juego pero si vale la pena mencionarlo.
Ahora cuando nos ponemos a hablar del juego en sí, su historia, enemigos y jugabilidad se queda en un... "meh...". La dificultad es inexistente, te podes pasar casi todo el juego usando el garrote (la primer arma que te dan y la única cuerpo a cuerpo) puesto que la IA de los enemigos es nula. La historia parecía interesante, una reliquia egipcia, una maldición, etc. pero lo mismo... se queda en un punto donde no te aburre del todo pero no te llega a interesar, y eso que está plagado de cosas sin sentido como que pasas por enemigos, abrís puertas, resolvés puzzles y luego... aparece un personaje que vete a saber como llego ahí antes que vos. Los puzzles también son bastante sencillos y no presentan para nada un desafío al jugador.

De en serio quería que me gustase el juego (y al comienzo lo logró), puesto que la temática no la había visto antes en un Survival Horror y me interesaba bastante. Pero se queda en un punto medio y si consideramos la época en la que salió, tenemos miles de opciones mejores.

Si ya te jugaste casi todos los Survival Horror y querés algo diferente o ver que tal está, te recomiendo que lo compres en rebajas y lo pruebes, puesto que no es "un mal juego". Pero considerando lo anterior y las diferentes opciones que hay, no puedo recomendarlo. Teniendo sagas como Silent Hill, Resident Evil, Fatal Frame, Siren o incluso yendo a títulos de PS1, éste juego queda muuuuuy por debajo. Una verdadera lástima.

[i]Curse[/i] is a game that runs entirely down the middle of the line. It doesn't do anything special or fancy, the controls are janky and potentially quite frustrating, but the feel of the environments is decrepit and eerie, and the story is safe and comfortable. It just doesn't feel like it does what it sets out to do, that is, be a horror game.

[b]Gameplay[/b]
[i]Curse[/i] is a survival-horror game along the lines of the original Resident Evil. You wander the corridors of a variety of environments, picking up different weapons and fighting cursed beasties. But the main problem is that there's very little horror or survival in this survival horror game. Combat wasn't especially difficult (the truncheon was a more effective weapon than the rifle against most enemies) and the enemies aren't particularly scary. While the camera is fixed in a number of great, cinematic ways, the placement of the monsters are either utterly predictable or even visible before they jump out at you. There's very little feel of fear in [i]Curse[/i], which is a shame because that's clearly what they set out to achieve.

[b]Story[/b]
Oh no! Someone has broken into the London Museum a night before the new Egyptian exhibition opens, and they release an ancient curse! Oh no! Cultists! Oh no! Zombies! You've probably seen it all before, but it's perfectly serviceable. Doesn't do anything fancy.

[b]Graphics, Sound, Atmosphere[/b]
The graphics are all pretty old, but that normally works for horror games. There's a certain creepiness when things are left more to your imagination. If you want it to go into full screen, you need to modify the .ini files and swap the names of the Curse.exe and RunCurse.exe files to get Steam to log playtime.
The sound and atmosphere are probably the best parts of the game. You really get a sense for the place just by looking at the well thought out sound design and colour palette to each room. The old, manky library was one of my favourite rooms.

[b]Conclusion[/b]
Unfortunately, the game doesn't capitalize on the tension it tries to build, and it ends up feeling like an action game, with half-tank controls (you move with arrow keys, which I don't think you can rebind to WASD, and aim where your character is facing by moving the mouse around. This game is very middle of the road for me. It does one thing particularly well (atmosphere), some things poorly (controls, scares, combat) and everything else in a mediocre fashion. It's cheap, but also easy to avoid. Recommended only if you wanted to try a Resident Evil-alike, or if this has nostalgic value for you. Otherwise, it's unlikely to appeal.

Curse The Eye of Isis to bardzo przyjemna gra w stylu Resident Evil i Silent Hill. Można powiedzieć, że jest to trochę gra akcji (strzelamy), trochę survival (zbieramy przedmioty, bronimy się przed zombiakami i bandytami), a trochę przygoda (bardzo ciekawa, choć dość prosto poprowadzona). Na początku może być trudno przyzwyczaić się do kontroli np. samą klawiaturą, czy też pozycji kamery, ale później gra jest miodna. Dołączone zagadki nie są trudne, by się jakoś bardzo nad nimi głowić, ale tym przyjemniejsza jest ta gra. Sterujemy na zmianę dwiema postaciami, ale nie napiszę dlaczego, by nie spoilerować. Lokacje także są ciekawe, od muzeum, po kanały, stacje pociągów i nie tylko...

Czekam na Curse 2 (sequel) :) ! Z tą historią i z tym stylem walki i zagadek gra mogłaby naprawdę być dobrym pomysłem jak na rok 2020 i w górę! Pewnie producent gry mojej opinii nie zobaczy, ale może ktoś inny się zainspiruje...

Dla chcących zagrać. By się bardziej komfortowo grało (wg mnie) trzeba ustawić sobie sterowanie tak.

1. Wybrać sterowanie joystickiem (opcja wyłącza mysz, która średnio się sprawdza) i następnie ustawienie sobie dogodnych klawiszy na klawiaturze.

Polecam też w opcjach sterowników naszej karty graficznej NVIDIA/AMD włączyć AFx16, wysokiej jakości tekstury, żeby umilić sobie oko bardziej starszą grą.
Rozdzielczość można zmienić w pliku game.ini na dowolną, następnie zapisać jako "tylko do odczytu", by gra nam tej rozdzielczości sama nie zmieniła.

Ja sobie wpisałem
Resolution:3840 * 2160 * 32

Ponieważ mam włączone DSR od Nvidii (też w sterownikach), choć nie mam monitora 4K, ale gra normalnie obsługuje widescreen.

Plus jedna sprawa. Gra u mnie nie nalicza poprawnie czasu gry, ale odkryłem dlaczego. Steam cały czas włącza plik "runcurse.exe" który odpowiada za konfigurację rozdzielczości. Następnie należy już używać Curse.exe (ten bez ikony) by Steam naliczał. Niestety on tego nie robi. Dlatego trzeba manualnie zmienić nazwę RunCurse na obojętnie co i Curse.exe na RunCurse.exe, a potem włączać ze steama.

Dzięki temu nakładka steam się włącza od razu i normalnie nalicza. Takie uroki starszych gier.

J'hésite entre pouce bleu ou rouge. Je mets un pouce bleu car j'ai accroché au jeu par son scénario et son ambiance. Jouabilité à l'ancienne un peu comme alone in the dark, on aime ou pas. Je m'y suis habitué à cette jouabilité bien que cela soit légèrement difficile au début.
Le jeu n'est pas exempt de défaut comme la caméra capricieuse et le fait d'être bloqué avec 2 ennemis à cause de cette caméra qui m'ont fait perdre bêtement la partie. Je perdais souvent la partie sur le gameplay du jeu que sur ma façon de jouer.
Si vous n'êtes pas trop exigeant sur la jouabilité, cela reste un jeu correct malgré ses défauts.

조작이 상당히 불편함.
조작방식이 차라리 바하 1 ~ 3, 아웃브레이크 같은
주인공 기준의 조작방식 (탱크 조작 방식)이었으면 할만함.
근데 기준이 화면 기준인데다가 화면 시점은 수시로 바뀌니
(고전 바하 시리즈보다 더 자주 바뀜)

장면만 바뀌면 자꾸 내 의도와는 다른 방향으로 감.

저장 할아버지가 한 곳에 안 있고 자꾸 어디로 달아남.
일정 구간 진행하면 할아버지가 말도 없이 사라지기 때문에
저장을 할 수가 없음.

어려운건 둘째치고 상당히 사람 짜증나게 하는 이 두가지 때문에 하기 힘듦.

This is a fun game. It's not hard, the combat is pretty easy to master and I recommend choosing the second difficulty, "Difficult", if you want to have at least some challenge. Navigating is easy and you're either told where to go, or there's no other way, or very little to explore, so you won't be running around without an idea of how to progress. Puzzles are very basic. Boss battles as well, although still entertaining. Plot is very straightforward and the biggest surprise isn't surprising at all, it's not and engaging story. Overall it's just an old slightly unpolished game, but it has a unique setting, dealing with enemies is satisfying, and the flow of progression is good. ~6 hours of a 6-7/10 game, it's cheap and works fine, so I recommend it.

Well, this game has obviously aged very poorly.
You should buy it only for the nostalgia aspect.
The story wants to be serious, but it's just silly.
If you like Silent Hill or Resident Evil: Try it out.
I'm going to definitely give it a positive review.
It's also pretty cheap, especially during a sale.

Resident Evil w XIX wiecznych klimatach. Tak w skrócie można określić tę grę. Bardzo solidny przedstawiciel gatunku tzw. survival horrorów. Przyznaję, że gdy pierwszy raz uruchomiłem Curse The Eye of Isis, nie spodziewałem się dostać tak dobrego thrillera. Opowieść może nie jest odkrywcza, ale poprowadzona bardzo umiejętnie, trzyma w napięciu i nie pozwala się oderwać, i choć jest stosunkowo krótka (ukończenie fabuły zajmuje ok. 7-8 godzin), to spędziłem przy niej kilka dłuższych posiedzeń, łapiąc się co chwilę na tym, że nie miałem ochoty kończyć, obiecując sobie: "a, dobra, jeszcze do następnego save pointu".

Opowieść skupia się na dwójce protagonistów, kuratorka muzeum Victoria Sutton i jej przyjaciel Darien Dane. Rodzice obojga byli archeologami i nieźle narozrabiali w przeszłości. Akcja gry rozpoczyna się w momencie, gdy starożytny artefakt "Oko Izydy", przybywa się do muzeum, wyzwalając klątwę egipskiej bogini płodności. Swoją drogą, jestem zachwycony tym, jak napisano dwójkę bohaterów, fabuła stawia ich w dość groteskowych sytuacjach, w których muszą się nawzajem ratować, ale żadne z nich nie wydaje się słabsze albo zależne od drugiego. Postacie się uzupełniają i tworzą dwie odrębne, lecz silne osobowości. Podoba mi się, jak można było stworzyć silną postać kobiecą bez robienia z facetów mięczaków. Przy czym może żałuję, że postacie nie różnią się od siebie gameplayowo. Gra się dokładnie tak samo jako Victoria, jak i Darien... no, może w sekcjach Vic jest nieco przyjemniej bo siłą rzeczy ma ładniejszą buzię.

Gameplayowo, Curse to po prostu klon Resident Evil 3, przed laty uwielbiałem Dino Crisis i RE3 właśnie więc poczułem się jak w domu. Ogółem wygląda to tak, że kamera nie podąża bezpośrednio za plecami bohaterów, a osadza się w odpowiednich miejscach na mapie, gdy bohater wyjdzie z jej zasięgu, przełącza się na kolejną perspektywę, itd. Ma to mocne walory narracyjne, lecz Curse mocno polega na bieganiu w tę i z powrotem po planszach w celu wykonania misji, ten rodzaj rozgrywki bywa uciążliwy. Swoją drogą, szkoda, że markę trzyma teraz Microids, gdyby to był THQNordic, miałbym silne podstawy by marzyć o remake'u/reboocie, jak ostatnio wydany, fenomenalny Black Mirror, no ale nieważne. Przejdźmy dalej.

Grafika jest... ok, mówimy o grze z 2003 roku, wychodziły już wtedy ładniejsze tytuły, ale nie mogę powiedzieć że jest źle. Postacie wykonane są starannie, Victoria jest bardzo miła dla oka, podobnie lokacje. Z ich różnorodnością bywa gorzej, mamy tu do czynienia z ok 3-4 różnymi rodzajami planszy (Muzeum, kanały, łódź, piramida), i pomimo ekstremalnej liniowości, można się zgubić we wtórnych korytarzach. Na szczęście, zdarza się to nader rzadko.

Udźwiękowienie też jest oldschoolowe, normalnie jakbym grał w stare Resident Evil. Podoba mi się voice acting, aktorzy zrobili niezłą robotę.

Ogółem, klimat, groteskowa fabuła, niespodziewanie dobrze napisani bohaterowie i bardzo przyjemnie zaprojektowany gameplay sprawiają, że zwyczajnie się w tej grze zakochałem. Polecam fanom survival horrorów w stylu klasycznych Resident Evil. Nie zawiedziecie się.

I had this game yeeeears ago, and it was one I never finished but always meant to. Then as WinXP became obsolete, I couldnt install without a PC upgrade. So when I saw it on Steam, I was excited, to say thie least.
If you're into the dark and mysterious, this game is for you. Scary? Perfect. Historical aspect? Storytelling? Get it now.
For the price, this game definitely worth it on all levels.

Budjettiluokan Silent Hill / Resident Evil -kopio, jossa on apinoitu aivan kaikki täydelliesti edellämainituista peleistä.

Tarina on sentään omansa, mutta ei mikään kovinkaan omaperäinen. Kaikki varmaan arvaa, mitä seuraa siitä, kun yhdistetään 1800-luvun loppupuoli, egyptiaiheista näyttelyä pitävä museo ja pari tutkijaa. No muumioitahan siitä seuraa ja lopulta ollaan sitten parin mutkan kautta jo Egyptissä pyramideja häpäisemässä. Ihan ok b-luokan kuraa, mutta ei millään tasolla kuumottavaa.

Pelattavuuden puolesta peli on myös osannut apinoida kaiken oleellisen. On tankkikontrollit, kiinteät kamerakulmat ja todella epämiellyttävät konsoliporttausnäppäinkomennot. Tankkikontrolleissa ei ole mitään vikaa, olen niistä aina tykännyt, joten niistä en valita yhtään. Kamerakulmista valitan sen verran, että tykkään tuosta tyylistä ja hyvin käytettynä se luo mukavasti tunnelmaa peliin ja tukee tankkikontrolleja. Ikävä kyllä tässä kyseisessä jötkäleessä on todella paljon kamerakulmia, joissa joutuu vain arvailemaan, että onkohan nyt tähtäin tarkentunut vihuun tai mitä helvettiä ylipäätään siellä jossain tapahtuu, mihin ei ole mitään katsekontaktia. Eli vähän liikaa sokkotykittelyä omaan makuun. Vaikuttaa enemmän huonolta suunnittelulta, kuin tietoiselta valinnalta, koska joissain kohtauksissa on todella hämärää kamera/blokkaus -komboa havaittavissa. Näppäinkomennoista sen verran, että nämähän oli ihan uskomattoman perseestä. Kaiken lisäksi ikävintä on vielä se, että ihan kaikkea ei voi muokata mieleisekseen. Xpadderilla ohjaimenkin virittäminen meni hankalaksi hommaksi ja skippasin suosiolla, kun en jaksanut viritellä tuota hiiri+näppis liikkumis/katselemis-komboa toimimaan kunnolla. Reload-nappini ei myöskään toiminut missään vaiheessa peliä, vaikka sitä siirtelin useampaankin paikkaan. Noin muuten kontrolleihin pääis kyllä käsiksi itse pelaamisen osalta.

MUTTA valikoissa en päässyt kyllä millään käsiksi niihn helkutin kontrolleihin. Valikot näyttävät aivan samoilta kuin esikuviensa vastaavat, joten kankeaa sukkulointia on luvassa ihan olan takaa. Tätä ei auta yhtään täysin typerät F-napeilla toimivat komennot. Varsinkin kun siirtelee hahmojen välillä tavaroita niin itku pääsee kun vahingossa painaa aina kymmenen kertaa väärin. Muutenkin kun oletusnapit liikkumiselle on nuolinäppäimet+hiiri ja sitten valikoissa navigoidaan F-napeilla niin tulee vaan mieleen, että onko pelitiimi koittanut väkisin hyödyntää koko näppäimistön pinta-alaa, vai mikä helvetti tässäkin on ollut tarkoituksena. Näitä nappeja ei voi edes muokata hemmetti soikoon.

Pelin budjettimaisuus huokuu myös sillä tavalla, että esikuviinsa verrattuna kaikki on pienempää + kaikkea on vähemmän. Melee-aseita on vain yksi, elikkäs patukka. Se on kyllä ihan perkeleen tehokas, melkein kuin jollain Silent Hillin palokirveellä mätkisi menemään. Itse ampuma-aseita on sitten jo vähän useampi, mutta ei niitäkään montaa ole + pistoolilla ei tee yhtään mitään. Luodeissakin on tingitty, sillä pistooli ja kivääri käyttää samoja luoteja. Liikkumisessakin on päätetty jättää ominaisuuksia pois, eli mitään väistönappia ei löydy. Täytyy vain liikkua sivulle ja pyöriä vastustajan ympäri pampulla mätkyttäen. Tekee pelistä vähän koomisen näköisen ja syö viimeisetkin kuumotuksen rippeet pois kankeudellaan.

Puzzlet ovat myös aivan onnettomia. Tai ei tässä oikein ole edes mitään puzzleja muutamaa hetkeä lukuunottamatta. Kaikki alueet ovat periaatteessa jonkinsortin sokkeloita, joissa on aina yksi ovi auki, josta saa avaimen/esineen, joka tarvitaan toisen paikan aukaisemiseen. Näin edetään edestakaisin juosten koko peli läpi ja konsepti alkaa hieman puuduttamaan jo museossa, joka on ensimmäinen mesta koko pelissä. Jotain vaihtelua olisi ehkä kaivannut tämäkin osa-alue.

Noin muuten ihan kiva peli. Pelottava tämä ei ole millään tasolla, mutta jos tykkää legendaarisista genren peleistä, niin kannattaa tämä ostaa. Onpahan vaihtelua, niin ei tarvitse aina pelata ressua tai silent hilliä läpi.

I completed it because i had paid for it and coultnt get a refund. Lots of games have slow starts, but by the time i realized that it was just a boring game i had already played more than 2 hours which is the cut off point for refunds. Its a shame, since the levels arent too bad. What really ruins it is the ai. Its no challenge whatsoever. Im not an expert gamer to any degree and normally the medium level is fine for me, but in this game i really didnt find it a challenge. Another thing is the weapons. There are a few weapons which would normally be fun, but they dont really act the way they should. Shotgun only fires two rounds which would be fine, except that it takes more than 2 to kill anything. And none of the weapons are really that different. They appear to do different things, but the damage isnt really that different. So theres none of the rush of finding a new weapon, because theyre all about as good as one another. Unless you know of some mod or something that fixes the ai and stuff i wouldnt bother with it.
