NO – IT IS NOT!
This game brought tears of joy and hatred to my eyes in the three days I had the pleasure of calling myself a player of Cube Runner.
Three (boring) lectures were lit up in bliss by this god-given game.
And even after playing it, there may be people saying: "Uuuurgh, the physics are ass, there is an enormous delay, the cube doesn't jump when I press space, and why make me multitask every possible I/O device this computer has to offer?"
And you may be correct – HOWEVER, this all adds to the beauty and complexity of the game. The jump-and-runs get more challenging through the demanding physics and required multitasking capabilities.
To distance itself from some fakes like Geometry Dash, this game specifically added unique features like shooting at boxes with your mouse, even adding the loving attention of delays to this specific feature. It is like a dream come true.
Granted, I wasn't too happy with those features at first and simply outsourced control of my mouse/touchpad (please don't play it with a touchpad) to the person sitting next to me. I express my gratitude for that. But the more you play, the more of a hardcore gamer you become, and the more you learn to enjoy the challenges you encounter along the way.
So this is it. You may stop reading and press the buy button. Play the game and enjoy its difficulties to the fullest. And hey, if you become desperate and don't agree, I will be waiting here for you to tell me your story.

Chapeau! Tengo que decir que me ha gustado y plenamente recomendable. Juego rápido, sencillo de jugar, con la dificultad suficiente para tener un poco de reto y desquiciarte lo mínimo. Te permite repetir o parar tanto como quieras, por lo tanto, no tienes que estar jugando horas para no perder el guión.
Gráficos rudos, pero simples, que no dañan a la vista y lo suficientemente coloridos para destacar.
Y tengo que decirlo si o si! Vaya musicón no?? Me ha molado mucho. De los pocos juegos que no he bajado el volumen de la música.

This game should be considered as one of the deadly sins, worst hour of my life. I would rather watch my family die in a brutal car crash right before my eyes and hold their bloody, crushed and unrecognizable bodies on repeat for the same amount of time I wasted on this game than to ever have played this.
I can't even begin to comprehend the people that bought this ♥♥♥♥ ass, horrid, soul crushingly boring, bugged game at full price. Genuinely one of the worse games I have ever played. I feel like i was robbed of my money, time and will to live by only 2€. My first ever review, only to slander a game i was given randomly by a third party, which made swear never to waste a single penny on these gambles ever again. I am honestly disheartened to be unable to refund this garbage, with no distinguishing features, mechanics or graphics. You're better of playing geometry dash than this flash game behind an unfairly huge paywall.
And the music is a hole different topic. Repetitive, generic and makes me want to tear my ears off and seems like it came straight out of a roblox tycoon. I do not know how people find this music good and interesting to hear. Just made the entire experience even more insufferable and painstaking.

Sendo bastante honesto, se vocês receberam este jogo numa key de jogos da Eneba, parabéns receberam a pior merda possível. Eu zerei este jogo e tenho todos os achievements e tenho fcking 70 minutos jogados. O jogo é horrível, as mecânicas foram feitas no scratch e a música foi feita pela minha prima surda. Quando recebi este jogo pela key pensei para mim mesmo "krl, 40 paus? sai bue no lucro wtffff" e logo a seguir arrependi-me da minha escolha de vida. Resto de um bom dia, e se compraste isto, ou pensas em comprar, pensa melhor.
Cumple su función. Tiene puzles bastante básicos pero a su vez otros elaborados. La mecánica de intercambio de plataformas es buena y sorprende.
Muito legal mto divertido. É desafiante mas não tão difícil os checkpoints facilitam para concluir as fases e não pirar pq ta morrendo toda hora. Parece que é um bom jogo pra ativar funções cognitivas no cérebro pq muda de direção tanto gravitacional quanto esquerda e direita. Enfim me prendeu facilmente, só acho q poderia ter mais fases.

And dont get me started on the checkpionts its like there only for decoration in 41 levels only 4 checkpoints and not one of them is useful! 40 Euros for this game is criminal! Go buy something else!

J'ai fini le jeu... Il est répétitif à la mort, il n'y a aucune nouvelle mécanique du cinquième au dernier niveau, les musiques libres de droits tah 2012 ça saoule au bout de 20 minutes... Le jeu n'est pas beau, la caméra est désagréable et à la ramasse, le gameplay c'est pas original, tout est déjà vu dans geometry dash (sauf le tir à la souris mais il est mal fait et pas présent dans tous les niveaux (et les obstacles l'utilisant sont TOUS recyclés et réchauffés)), bref : facilement un des pires jeux de ma bibliothèque.
Ca occupe le temps d'une journée.

At first it might seem worse, than it actually is. Not the greates game of all time, but a decent game with some interesting mechanics.
Bought this game for less than 2 bucks because that is what it's worth. It's just a simple key-smashing platformer with simple yet hard-to-master mechanics and a small number of simply designed levels. One of those games that, once you finish it, you simply forget about it's existence and never touch it again. Good for an extremely boring afternoon.
I am shocked to see it costs 40$ now. That price tag is either an error or a massive scam.

Got this game through random key thing.
The reason for the down vote is because of the original price, which I start to find it annoying when they put it at £33.50, which is a stupid amount of money for a game like this being priced at £2 and a sale of a £1 will get people to try it.
But besides all that, I actually had fun playing it for a couple of hours, it helps with reaction time and patience feel good to finish a level and to figure out the more confusing ones at the end of the game. Style is good, sounds are good, and the play style is good.
Seriously do something about the price and I will thumb it up.

After trying a few platforming games that don't take up much memory, my expectations for them started blending together. I recognize them as distinct titles, but I still figured that Cube Runner (CR) would just be another left to right indie experience, offering little to make it that interesting. Instead, it plays much differently than I first expected, so that should remind me not to judge something solely on what I first see.
[h1]Gameplay[/h1]
When I first tried CR out, it took me a minute to realize it was moving the cube for me. After realizing it wasn't an error, but was a deliberate design choice, it changed my entire perspective of the game. Instead of directly controlling the movement, I merely relied on the level design to play the game for me, needing to time occasional inputs to get past the obstacles. That's a different focus, and completely changes how the game feels. Since your movements aren't coordinated to the music, in certain situations it slightly handles like a puzzle title, as you have to figure out the correct action to take. Easier levels make it quite obvious, but towards the end, it takes some trial and error to figure out how you need to advance.

Technically, you can play this game with a controller, but I wouldn't recommend it. Trying to aim using the analog stick is truly awful, in large part because of the game moving automatically. Due to this factor, aiming is awkward in the best of situations, yet having my hand free to use the mouse made it much easier to play with the mouse and keyboard. When I knew the right timing to advance, the controls seemed responsive in most situations.

Making for an interesting combination, this is a pseudo-2D platformer made with minimalist visuals. Everything in the game is composed of simple geometric figures, and create the illusion of depth with those simple art tricks we learned about back in elementary school, “If you draw three lines at these angles, it looks like the corner of a room. It's three dimensional.” With a gradient style, starry background, and platforms made of black blocks, much of the game looks pretty dark. A few splashes of color distinguishes one item from another, such as enemy squares having an orange or red tint to them, while the foreground and background platforms are made distinct by being either blue or yellow. It may be basic, but if it works, why argue? One issue from the design and some of the level layouts is that repeatedly flipping the screen can get disorienting, as you have to readjust your perspective, and figure out where your cube is. If it got any more extreme than this, it'd make you nauseous.
[h1]Sound Design[/h1]
Since the music doesn't synchronize with when you need to act, it allows for more freedom on what kind of songs could be designed for CR. On that note though, I'm not sure they went the right direction when composing aggressive rock songs. It's not bad music, but it doesn't really suit the aesthetic or gameplay. Having something so intense blazing in the background, when you're trying to concentrate and time your next moves, doesn't make for the best combination. This wouldn't be a bad situation for muting the music, and having something less distracting idling as you play. Maybe I was too attuned to the songs, but I don't really remember the game having any distinct sound effects.

🔍 Since you don't directly control your movement, timing is the most crucial element of platforming. Sometimes you have to make the move early, such as when you have multiple jumps in a row. Other times, you wait until the very last moment. It's almost always clear which is which.
🔍 There's basically two types of blocks you can shoot. Ones you want to blast away at rapidly, and those you have to shoot at the very last second.

With a total of 75 levels, it shouldn't take more than 2 hours for reasonably capable gamers to beat CR. It's true that only around 6% of people stick around long enough to do so, but bear in mind that 18% of people even boot this game up, based on the achievement for killing one enemy. So in theory, 1/3 of those who try it go on to finish it. All things considered, that makes sense to me. Many of the early levels can be breezed through, as there's minimal resistance to an easy finish line. It's only an occasional fluke and the final third of levels when they start taking more effort to conquer. From my perspective, even though it wasn't an exhilarating game, I appreciated the novelty of it. Certain aspects could have been improved on, but it's an inoffensive title that those who are burned out on the same old might find a fun change of pace.

Pro: The game is short, and does give you a challenge. The music selection was really good. Easy way to get some achievements under your belt.
Con: There are some incredibly frustrating moments, I would say that this is more of an "elevated blood pressure stress" due to repetition of the same level over and over again.
not bad for an hour but definitely needs some polishing. It's not worth 39.99$. To be honest, I think had got this from a bundle that was 90% off one summer sale when I was younger. If you get this game for under 2 bucks, you got your monies worth and you get a relatively easy (albeit frustrating) 100% achievements game.
