Lacks manual saves and quick saves, why was this removed compared to original crysis?
For some it may make the game more intense, but for me it just makes it frustrating. At least for my stealthy/tactical playstyle. where I sneak around and execute my plan for 20 minutes, only to die to last enemy and lose those 20 minutes. As opposed to those who run-and-gun and finish all sections in 5 minutes.
And it makes you less likely to try out new upgrades or play styles if you cant try it and go back to older save.
Its very fun but lack of saving makes it quite frustrating when going stealth style on higher difficulties.
Im giving negative because originally crysis had manual saving, and they removed it.

I loved this game, the story was good but I am more fond of the gameplay mechanics, doing stealth kills with suppressed SMGs were soo satisfying for me.

Ama bu kısıtlama gibi hissettirmiyor, tam tersine seni daha yaratıcı olmaya zorluyor.

Ama bu sefer daha akıcı, daha sezgisel.

Ich finde die Reihe ein bisschen überbewertet. So viel Spaß macht das Spiel nicht und die Story ist auch nichts besonders. In Steams Gut- oder Schlecht-System, würde ich das Spiel trotzdem eher bei Gut einordnen.

The year is 2026, in the last 15 years human society has not progressed. For eons I had this game in my library, taking dust, in waiting. And sometimes when my glance cross paths with it I ask myself: Can I run Crysis 2? Of course not, no one can run Crysis not even the NASA.
I will never play Crysis sadly.
Crysis 2 это лично для меня странная игра, с одной стороны - ну вообще не прикопаться, все на высоте, первоклассный шутер: хороший геймплей, даже сейчас поражающий визуал, интересный сюжет, не плохая музыка, тему из меню я точно запомню надолго. Казалось бы, так в чем проблема? проблема по моему мнению в недокрученности стелса, тяжело описать, но если будете пытаться отыгрывать Сэма Фишера, то поймете, но это лично моя проблема, ведь я уверен большинство даже и пытаться не будет играть по стелсу. В конечном итоге - да, Crysis 2 это очень крутая игра, круче оригинала, стоит играть.

I think this is a very good FPS! The remaster is nice from what I've seen but the original versions still look (and finally run) so well on PC now that I haven't opted to pick them up yet. To be fair I originally played these games on Console and picked up the PC versions a bit before the remasters released when I got my then new PC.
Crysis 2 is a more linear experience than the first, but still feels quite free form. Especially when compared to some other mainstream shooters both current and at time of release. Lastly, it still looks amazing IMO. Yes the pallet is a bit dated arguably (more of a high contrast blue tinted look than the more natural sun bathed look of modern games / the remaster) but that just makes these versions have a bit more of a unique flair that allows them to better coexist with the updates in my opinion.

There a cut scene running right now in the game. I went and got a snack. It's still going. I also play a couple of games of solitaire. I'm still waiting to play the game. I'm now writing this review while waiting for the cut scene to end. I'm going to go get a glass of water. What is this? Feels like 30 minutes or something. Just torture. Don't know why devs are required to force long cut scenes. Metrics? Makes it appear we are playing the game when we are not? Wow, it's finally done. I hope I get to play the game now. Oh, the hell with it. I'm going to bed.
[uPDATE] When I restarted the game I did not have to go through that again. I was able to play. I noticed my GPU was drawing 300 Watts and the game running at 3000 fps. That was interesting. Disabling the AMD fake frame rate stuff resolved that. I will not give a thumbs up no matter how good the game if I can't skip long cut scenes.
Решил пройти все серии Кризиса с самого первого до самого последнего. Вархед прошел в пиратке, а со второй вышел небольшой косяк, имея версию ремастера решил ее не качать, все таки 53гб это не хило для игры, поэтому прикупил эту оригинальную версию на 12гб. Самое интересное я хз что можно было засунуть в ремастер кроме мыла, ведь в оригинале все четко и графика и баги и неработающие скрипты и прочие радости, которые я видел в пиратке.
А сама игра все так же крута как и первая, единственное канули в лету огромные уровни, где мы сами планировали прохождение уровня, тут нам оставили довольно тесные кишки похожие якобы на большие уровни, но выход и вход на уровень всегда един. Зато нас не покидает чувство что мы находимся в огромном городе. Поездить нормально тоже не получиться, зато теперь можно пулемёты снимать с тачек. В первой части этого сильно не хватало. Ну и цефов наконец одели в нормальные доспехи, а не в летающие костюмы с щупальцами из первой части, хотя я по ним скучаю.
Наш герой стал слабаком, уж не знаю где затупили разрабы, но в этой игре я был скорее добычей, нежели охотником. Потому что костюм нам попался с гнильцой. Единственно нормально работающая функция костюма - это защита гг. Невидимость быстро заканчивается, тем более стелс тут сломан, если противник увидел убитого оппонента, считай придется выходить из невидимости и гасить всех.
Сложность тоже сломана, иногда в самом начале особенно некоторые бои с противниками людьми были сложнее чем с цефами на последних уровнях игры.
Так почему же палец вверх, потому что в нее весело играть, сюжетец классный, взрывы разрывы, куча оружия, можно прокачивать постепенно костюмчик и продолжительность у игры весьма длинная если не тупить). А еще тут можно собирать фигруки )))
Eines der besten Spiele, die ich je gespielt habe. Hier stimmt das Gameplay, die Atmosphäre, die Musik und die Story. Sehr empfehlenswert und sehr bedauerlich, dass der vierte Teil wohl nie kommt und im dritten Teil leider zu viel Gewicht auf die Grafik und der Rest vernachlässigt wurde.
Recomendo, jogo envelheceu muito bem, e mesmo sendo a versão antiga e não a remastered, ainda vale a pena jogar, principalmente para quem não tem um pc que rode jogos de ultima geração, a franquia Crysis com certeza é uma franquia 10/10. Ainda mais se estiver esperando pelo Crysis 4.

Crysis 2 is a gorgeous, polished shooter that unfortunately feels like a sequel designed for players who never played the first game, while continuing a story only fans of the first game would understand. It’s a strange contradiction that defines the entire experience.
If you’re coming from Crysis 2007 or Warhead, be prepared: almost everything that made those games special has been stripped back. Gone are the open levels, emergent combat and manual saves. In their place are narrow corridors, forced camera moments and checkpoint only progression that often feels more like Call of Duty than Crysis. The problem isn’t that this structure is bad, it’s that it replaces the identity of the franchise rather than expanding on it.
The game constantly wrestles with itself. It wants to be a cinematic blockbuster, but it’s also trying to follow up a sandbox classic. It wants to appeal to a new console audience, but it assumes knowledge of a story those players never had access to. It showcases CryEngine 3 beautifully but often feels more like a tech demo than a true successor to Crysis.
The result is a visually impressive shooter that’s enjoyable in bursts, but deeply conflicted. If Crysis 2 had been the first game in the series, it might have been easier to accept. As a sequel, it feels like a step backward, a game pulled apart by competing goals and never quite sure who it’s for.

Pierwszy raz zagrałem w tą grę na Xboxie 360 później na PlayStation a teraz na Pc. Grając w tą grę czułem totalny przepływ adrenaliny, bo miasto jest zniszczone, walki z przeciwnikami i kosmitami są intensywne, a nanokombinezon daje poczucie absolutnej mocy i swobody w akcji.
Great gameplay! A few new things to learn but overall a really nice story line too. Recommend playing it end to end once for sure!

Crysis 2 is what happens when a game looks at its open-ended jungle soul, sighs, and moves into a gray concrete apartment. Everything’s cramped, scripted, and way less fun. The nanosuit still talks big, but the levels feel like tight hallways pretending to be epic. It’s less “adapt and dominate” and more “follow the glowing waypoint and don’t ask questions.” Pretty? Yes. Memorable? Not really.
And honestly, it pulls the same mistake as Predator 2.
Predator 1 worked because the jungle was the character — tension, isolation, mystery. Predator 2 dragged the Predator into a noisy city full of cops, chaos, and zero atmosphere, killing the vibe. Crysis 2 does the exact same thing: trades wild freedom for urban clutter and calls it “evolution.”
Sometimes, taking something amazing and stuffing it into a city just makes it worse.
-Looks expensive.
-Feels soulless.
-Crysis didn’t need a city.
-It needed a spine.

Кому-то не нравится сеттинг города, но на кой чёрт нужны коридорные джунгли? Пусть лучше будет коридорный город. Вторая часть лучше первой практически во всем. Интерфейс интуитивный и проще стал выглядеть.
Сам боевик просто супер. Играл единожды в школе и вот уже сейчас. Думаю брать или нет Remastered этой версии!?
Тут и враги поинтереснее, если что речь о пришельцах. И намного динамичные всё и темп нужный. Не нужно тут требовать от игры большего. Это просто шутер с красивой графикой.

Ottimo fps, all'inizio sembra il solito fps con il super marine come protagonista ma proseguendo nel gioco ci si accorge che ha le sue ben precise peculiarità rispetto ai suoi "concorrenti", in primo luogo le funzioni della tuta che cambiano di parecchio le geometrie di gioco rispetto agli altri giochi di questo tipo , in secondo luogo la possibilità di agire in modo furtivo attraverso azioni in stealth oppure attraverso un assalto esplicito con armi da fuoco, buona varietà di armi con qualche caratteristica personalizzabile ben realizzata, infine gli scenari dove, anche qui, si distingue -oltre alla grafica pregevole- per la varietà di vie che permettono di arrivare all'obbiettivo. Secondo me si colloca alla pari - o poco distante - dai grandi calssici del suo genere.

A broken mess of a game. So many issues- ranging from refresh rate issues to stuttering and rendering errors. My AMD Radeon HD 7870 runs the game capped to 50 fps. My monitor is 144Hz but the game will default to 50Hz. I can run the game at 144Hz- and this is no joke- only if I switch my monitor off and on again after launching the game. My GTX 560 and 560 Ti also experience weird performance issues when looking at water with the "high" water quality setting but not at the two highest settings. I've noticed weird artifacts when being shot at by aliens later in the game- almost like the "threat tracer" ability or whatever it is called is glitched out. It looks very weird and janky, I'm not sure exactly how to describe it- like a stretched out texture, I guess. I've witnessed dead enemies floating in the air on numerous occasions or destroyed helicopters that levitate until they disappear from view entirely. Another strange bug I have randomly encountered in all three Crysis games: not being able to switch to my rocket launcher and I can't pick another one up because my inventory is technically full. Also my weapon model just isn't there sometimes after dying and reloading a checkpoint. I played the game quite a bit on a GTX 680 and GTX 970 and performance was decent on those cards back in the day but some rendering errors were still present. I swear these Crytek games more broken every time I attempt to revisit them.
The absolute CryEngine
Hru jsem získal zadarmo před mnoha lety. Pamatuju dobu, že, kdo to rozjel byl fakt frajer a chodili jsme se k němu koukat jak hraje. Já jsem se dostal k dohrání až nyní. Jde o inovativní koridorovou FPS střílečku s krásnou grafikou, kdy na sobě máte nano oblek, který vám umožnuje být na chvíli neviditelný, neprůstřelný, dělat extrémní skoky a odkopávat auta. Cestou pokosíte pár vojáků a mimozemšťanů.. Jako oddechová jednohubka fajn. Thats it.

Были ещё игры, которые я забрасывал, но это было связано исключительно с тем, что у меня не лежало сердце к игре, а так, в общем, те игры были классными. Игра мне напоминает Sniper: Ghost Warrior - такая же линейная, где 90% зачистка. Единственное отличие: Ghost Warrior я прошёл.

Графика и визуальные эффекты
На момент выхода игра демонстрировала впечатляющую детализацию: разрушенные здания
Нью‑Йорка, динамическое освещение, реалистичные текстуры и эффекты воды. Хоть я и назвал crysis
2 - игрой для телефонов. Так как мне кажется графика деревянной по сравнению с калдой 2011 года и
батлфилд 3. Но в общем графика впечатляющая для 2011 года.
Звуки
Не буду расписывать почему. Просто они мне понравились.
Ну как бы плюсы на этом закончились.
Минусы Crysis 2
Упрощение по сравнению с первой частью
Исчезновение открытого мира: игра стала линейным «коридорным» шутером.
Меньше возможностей для импровизации (например, нет масштабной разрушаемости окружения).
Проблемы с ИИ противников
Они просто тупые. Игра кажется очень простой даже на последней сложности. Особенно после того, как прошёл Ведьмак 2, которая на безумной сложности ощущается соулс лайком в начале игры.
Слабый сюжет и персонажи
Его здесь в общем то и нету. Завязка с передачей костюма от «Пророка» к Алькатрасу выглядит натянутой.
Второстепенных персонажей считай вообще нету. Диалоги поверхностные.
Однообразность уровней
Многие локации визуально схожи (разрушенные улицы, подземные туннели), что снижает ощущение разнообразия.
Игра - линейная.
Итог
Crysis 2 — это визуально впечатляющий шутер, но он потерял свободу и глубину, которая была в первой части. Заслуженно 5/10

ES un gran juego en el cual vas a pasar unas buenas horas luchando contra todo tipo de bichos raros, en donde los desarrolladores suben la apuesta, y llevan el caos a un manhattan totalmente destruido y colapsado. Recomendable y lo suficientemente bien logrado para llegar a ser rejugable.

Continúa la historia de unos de los protagonistas de la primera entrega. Un modo de presentar la historia a mi parecer mejor logrado, volviéndolo más íntimo y emocional en algunos aspectos. Sin entrar en spoiler, me parece que la historia va tomando fuerza, sobre todo al final, cuando dejamos pie al 3 y último de los actos.

Взяв по знижці за 200 грн. Гра культова, на сьогодні графіка 2011 року виглядає соковито, сподобалась деталізація руйнувань, кінематографічні сцени. Сюжет простенький, але піде. Костюм зроблений класно. Є різноманітна прокачка його за нанокаталізатори. Збільшили варіативність проходження, порівняно з 1 частиною, яку я грав воостаннє 2012-13 рр. Особлива подяка Гансу Циммеру, його музика геніально доповнює картину зруйнованого Нью-Йорку та додає МАКСИМАЛЬНОЇ ПОТУЖНОСТІ
Мінуси - Велика ціна в магазині, 800 грн, краще взяти ремастер по знижці, якраз вийде дешевше на новорічному розпродажі ( у мене не йде ремастер)

Crysis 2 - всё ещё замечательная игра и шикарный шутер от первого лица который спустя больше 10 лет не устарел не в чем -
Эта игра не устарела и замечательно выглядит и играется даже спустя 15 лет что прям поражает,ведь даже более свежие и некоторые относительно недавние релизы таким уровнем проработки не могут похвастаться
-она всё ещё потрясающе выглядит и играется,в игре по сей день безумно красивая кинематогрофичная картинка,шикарные спецэффекты,шикарный дизайн,шикарные безумно красивые очень хорошо проработанные и геймплейно вариативные продуманные локации с кучей интерактивных и разрушаемых предметов и при этом игра шикарно оптимизирована,шикарные анимации,шикарная музыка и звуки,шикарный довольно вариативный и динамичный геймплей с неплохой реиграбельностью (перепройдя сегодня игру несколько раз я удивился от уровня вариативности и реиграбельности и количества различных развилок\путей в этом казалось бы линейном сюжетном шутере).стелс с сочными добиваниями сзади ,хорошая стрельба с приятной отдачей и навешиванием с сменой модулей на оружии в реальном времени,шикарный минималистичный интерфейс
Единственные самые слабы аспекты игры это сюжет - он сам по себе хороший и в принципе следить за ним интересно и в нём куча крутых кинематогрофичных эпичных катсцен\моментов и т.д. но к сожалению в нём нет интересных и запоминающихся персонажей - и боссы - точнее один огромный шагоход с которым несколько раз заставят сражаться и усиленные обычных пришельцы в конце которых просто перекрасили в черный цвет и выдали им кучу хп и дали возможность становиться невидимыми -
ну и ещё русский дубляж получился средненьким хотя в общем звучат голоса приятно
Итог - Crysis 2 это всё ещё очень хороший,вариативный,динамичный,очень красивый и качественный сюжетный шутер с хорошим геймплеем и стрельбой,и шикарным дизайном и локациями,с кучей эпичных кинематогрофичных моментов ,но с сюжетом без интересных запоминающийся персонажей
однозначно рекомендую к покупке,я остался крайне доволен и не разу не пожалел о покупке,я бы поставил оценку 9 из 10

Runs really well on modern Linux. No problems. This game gets some hate for the dumb story and gameplay but honestly it's fun
