Dev abandoned this game.
It´s a good game but abandoned so I can not recommend it it unless we hear from the developer.
No tutorial or anything that helps with the basics. You must find it online.

Came to check in on this bad boy only to find it abandoned and unfinished. According to the dev they've moved on to another game.
YES it feels a bit like Terraria.
YES you run around collecting items/mats to craft item upgrade stations.
YES there are NPC's (but you figure out how to get them, no spoiler here)
YES I think there is enough here to make it FEEL like a WHOLE NEW GAME. Not a copy of another game.
There is one NO, and this might stop me from playing further - but possibly not someone else.
NO the armor/weapon leveling is NOT the same. This is the only thing I DON'T like with this game so far. Craft stations are found or crafted to make items and I have randomly found additional "Parts" to add to the craft stations to make additional items/upgrades. However, the way to upgrade items is so random it's hard to know if the upgrade is good or not. If there is a "method" to make this system easier to understand - I haven't found it yet. For me its frustrating and takes some of the joy away from playing. Due to idk where I am on the progression scale. Am I progressing? Whats next? Some things are fun to figure out - but not when it stalls the whole game. If this is something you don't mind - then you will probably like the game and not feel "Stuck" like I do.

Enjoyed this a long time ago and shelved it with the intent to come back when it was finished however it has been abandoned, which is unfortunate. Game had a lot of potential but I feel obligated to leave this as at least a warning to buyers that what you see is what you get and you will not be getting any more.
Another sandbox base building game. This one with a strikingly similar look to Terraria. Up to a point where it's pretty much a cash grab. In Crea you play an individual of no importance with not much of a background. Your goal is to build, explore and collect randomly placed Lore pages. Nothing peculiar if you are used to play Minecraft clones.
The game is unfortunately unfinished, abandoned and suffers from a plethora of bugs and issues. Most of the game play is fine, but it's obvious that the game lacked thorough testing. There are 4 bosses that you can face to defeat. I don't know how to fail fighting them. All four have a range of useless skills and couldn't hurt a fly if they tried. The last of the bosses seems to be bugged as you can just kill him without having to figure out the shrine scheme which was intended to make him invulnerable somehow.
The crafting is an exercise in hoarding resources. The hoard quickly becomes a chore with nothing satisfactory in the end other than looking at high numbers in chests. You barely need to craft anything to be able to fight ordinary mobs. The fauna in Crea is annoying like mosquitoes. As soon as you "zone in" into some space of the map they swarm around you as if you had a proverbial "Hero" stench. They're easy to defeat and so it just gets annoying, until you figure out that the invisibility spell just prevents them from attacking. Then they are just like annoying bugs swarming around a lamp.
The Achievements in Crea are broken! The last ditch effort made on these issues was removing an achievement from the game, not fixing the modifications which created the issue. The Lore pages are bugged as well. It's possible to randomly generate a world which will never have any Ending, due to missing pages escaping the worl map in some way. Other achievements, like healing at the last possible moment do not work at all or are plagued by an idiotic RNG scheme.
I would never recommend a project that was left in a state like Crea, seeing mostly that it's a cash grab. I do not recommend games published by Siege Games either. Even if the game was free, your time would probably be better wasted playing other free to play or even pay to win games.

Смотрю за игрой почти с самого начала разработок, хотя на удивление с полна поиграл только однажды и то на пиратке. Увы игра со сложной судьбой, ведь разрабатывает почти один человек, да и то у которого тоже всё не ладно было, а ведь это была его мечта с школьного возраста, хотя на момент последних обновлений 19 года у него уже жена и двое детей
Как фанат террарии не советую, у игры слишком медленный темп и прокачка, и увы при прохождении меняться не будет, многим будет просто скучно, но если вам удаться принять это, то залипнуть на пару вечеров пойдет, а то и на всю игру, ведь в ней есть боссы и финальная точка, в своем понимании. Так у игры огромный потенциал, просто не хватило внимания, времени и сил
На данный момент игра официально заброшена, последним обновлением 19 года, причина выгорание разработчика, однако он просто решил освежиться и начать с чего то нового, так появился Auto Forge, в ней он планирует отдохнуть от духоты и набраться опыта, сама игра смесь террарии и факторио, можно также ознакомиться
Но сама вселенная Crea на этом не заканчивается, это не просто игра опять же, а мечта разраба с малых лет, которую он все же хочет продолжить, однажды, когда отдохнет, может так и увидим Crea 2

Crea is a game abandoned before its completion and it will stay that way because the developer decided to move onto some other game.
There are better 2D sandbox games in the genre. If you somehow stumbled onto this title and have never played Terraria before, you should be playing that. Or Core Keeper for a more topdown mining adventure experience. I'd even say Starbound is better than Crea, and that's merely because the modding support is substantial.
You got options. Don't settle for disappointment. Skip this one.
I can tell this game is clearly a work of passion, though it won't be getting updates anymore and there's not a ton of content, this game is obviously a product of working too hard, from the art-style and the mechanics both me and my friend agree that it is more than enjoyable.

Crea is my favourite open world survival craft game. Yes, over terraria. the story, the art, the game mechanics & crafting mechanics. But what puts it over the top is the music, it's so beautiful, calming, and peaceful while also being amazing for concentration. I love listening to the Crea soundtrack while working! If you haven't tried it and you're a big open world survival craft fan, I highly recommend you give it a shot!! But be sure to read the crafting instructions or you'll be dead in the water lol
Fun game to play with others, not super hard to play and you can create a lot of cool combos to defeat creatures and bosses! :D

I like the idea of Terraria with RPG elements, but unfortunately the game is unfinished and abandoned.
Terraria with its own spin. IIRC, it was more palpably tedious and clumsier than Terraria (or just as much which is not a good thing, despite appearances), though.

Увы, «убийца Террарии / Старбаунда» не получился: не хватило полировки, тестирования и наполнения. Графика навевает скуку, мир не верит сам в себя, механик новых нет или в них не хочется разбираться.
Проект в итоге закономерно заброшен и только редкие скитальцы по забытым пыльным страницам стима могут забрести и потыкать палкой то, что хотело жить, но не смогло.
This game is like Terraria, except your skills level up and unlock specialized abilities. Dig a long tunnel underground? That'll level up your "Gather" skill, which will let you swing pickaxes faster, mine bigger areas at once, or even barter for better prices in shops. Do you like to fight with magic? That'll level up your "Syle" channeling skill, which can let you shoot flamethrower fire out of your fingers or stab enemies with rocks from underground. Fun!
The weapon/armor crafting is unique to this game, fits the game's overall themes well, and is fun! Give it a try!

Abandoned by the developer under the veil of "Burnout". Only for him to work on a different game that's also inevitably going to be abandoned later down the line. Crea is and will remain a very unfinished game forever, and a statement to why this developed should not be trusted in his future projects.
After many "Everything is fine!" and "We got more people working on the game now!" the plug was suddenly pulled and the "final" update was rushed out the door to underwhelming results. The game is buggy, unbalanced, chaotic, not thought through, and brimming with features from other games without knowledge of why these things worked for those games in the first place. What you get is a soup of random talents, game mechanics and features that don't mix well and don't offer much other than a half-baked/raw, surface level experience.
I really did look forward to this game being finished, and I was willing to give the developer a pass on this since burnout can be an absolute nightmare to deal with. But when I saw the announcement for his newest title, a 2d factory/automation game (Factorio like title), I knew it was all for nothing. The game has aesthetically the same vibes as Crea, along with a lot of the gameplay mechanics and art-style. It's just sad that we lost out on a unique game that could have becomes something, if not for misleading statements and overall bad management.
This game did teach me something valuable though. Never trust Early-Access titles. Some developers make good on their promises or at least try their best to stick to their promise of a finished game, and some even mess up and redeem themselves later down the line. This game sadly never got that final swan song. The developer abandoned it in an unfinished state, with bugs still present and multiplayer issues still hardcoded into the game.
Don't get this. It's not finished, and it's not fun.
The controls are counterintuitive and awkward to use. Boss design is poor. Many of the design decisions feel like they are made solely to be different from other games without understanding that those other games made those decisions for a reason.

When you die you drop your bag, and you need a certain crystal to retrieve it. It's stupid. Game would be great if I didn't lose everything I spent the last hour mining. Not worth.

This game is not functioning any more. It requires a Python 2.7 library, which it does not include. Python 2.7 has been discontinued for many years.
Unless you're willing to spend a day messing around with libraries, possibly compiling a Python 2.7 library from source, don't get this.
Game started working fine. It's a Terraria-like with a heavy focus on combat. Worth a try if you like these kind of 2d survival games.

The author abandoned the game, but started making another one (money ran out?), its just a cash grab making by small developer who ruined his reputation.

Its not even 5% of content of these games.[/u][/b] This game had a lot of promises about development but its a game for one-two days, there is not enough content to be good for survival sandbox game and developer lies. He making this game in time when Terraria and Starbound were most popular trying to milking this genre, but this should be free as a demo, this game is like college project, not full game and developer has no shame in offering this game at a higher price than terraria xDDD especially after so many years after being abandoned, its very very overpriced for title like this. Don't be fooled.
I've noticed a lot of the recent reviews for this game seem to be anti-recommendations solely based on the fact that it won't receive any more updates. In my opinion, that's dumb. What's really important is, what does the game have in it [i]right now?[/i] Is [i]that[/i] any good, is it worth the money/worth playing? Well, I say Crea is.
Comparisons to Terraria and Starbound are inevitable, so I'll get some of those out of the way first: Crea is somewhere halfway between the two. The world itself, its setting, is closer to Terraria, as is its equipment, mining, and exploring. Its combat is closer to Starbound. I think it hits a really nice balance, and I especially like the combat - it has a stamina system that determines how often you can attack, much like a Souls-like, so it makes combat a little more tactical. In terms of content, Crea has nowhere near as much as either game, but it still has a lot to offer. I've only played about 10 hours thus far, but it seems like there's a lot left I could do in terms of progression and exploration.
Some things unique to Crea that I really enjoy:
1. There are procedurally-generated, randomly occurring and spawning mini dungeons which can be accessed through portals. These can have some really neat platforming, puzzle, and combat challenges, which go a long way towards breaking up the pace of mining and exploring.
2. The equipment crafting system is literally the most enjoyable crafting system I've seen [b]in any game, ever.[/b] Each time you craft a new piece of equipment, you play a little minigame to determine how good the piece of equipment turns out. The minigame is essentially a turn-based "combat," with you selecting abilities to use, and trying to manage several different resource bars that change over time. It's more fun than it sounds! There's an element of random chance to it, and an element of tactical thinking that I really enjoy. It [b]demolishes[/b] Terraria's system of "repeatedly pay the Goblin Tinkerer a ton of coins to upgrade your equipment to a random quality and hope you get the best one eventually" equipment upgrading.
3. As mentioned earlier, the combat is quite enjoyable. You have a stamina bar which, although limited, does refill extremely quickly, so you're never out of combat for too long, which keeps the pace nice and fast. You have a dodge roll in addition to the expected double jump and grappling hook and such. Like Terraria, there are equipment items and skills for warriors, rangers, and mages, but Crea allows more flexibility in how you build your character, since you have multiple hotbars you can swap between to change builds on the fly, and your stats aren't tied as tightly to your equipment.
4. Unlike either Terraria or Starbound, you actually get experience points in this game. In the vein of Elder Scrolls, your skills in different areas will increase as you do activities related to those skills. Do crafting, you get crafting exp, which you can spend on skills in the crafting skill tree to get better at crafting. Your melee, ranged, and magic skills are all innate and must be purchased with exp, so unlike Terraria, you never get into a situation where you wish you had one particular item on you so you could use its skill.
5. There are naturally-occurring waypoints scattered around the map, which makes it far more convenient to get around quickly! No need to manually run a wire between two teleporters a huge distance away!
Some downsides:
1. The world does feel a little empty, or perhaps bland. The NPCs aren't nearly as interesting (although they are way more convenient to unlock and house!), and the world doesn't have as much biodiversity as either Terraria or Starbound.
2. I know I had another downside or three I was going to add here, but I can't remember them at the moment, so I'll edit them in later.
The TL;DR wrap-up:
Crea is definitely worth buying. The content it has is sufficient and enjoyable enough for anyone to get their money's worth. I've only played ~10 hours so far and I already think it was worth the purchase, and I'm planning on playing it more. Just because the game will almost never get any more content, doesn't mean what's here is worthless.

Возможно за такую цену и глупо ожидать чего-то большего. Можете конечно попробовать, но я не рекомендую. Есть более крутые аналоги, хоть и дороже. Немного дороже.

Crea, is similar to Terraria which I really love playing. An I guess I got it when it was free because its giving me the option to buy it. I am sad that it is abandoned because now I'm having problems playing it. If I uninstall it and then re-install it, it will start working correctly...but if I don't then it won't start and I then can't play it. I am tired of having to uninstall and re-install it to get it to work, only for me having to do it again the next and the next and so forth...if I want to play it.. So disappointing that I will have to stop playing this game completely because of this problem. Other than all that, I do like it and enjoy playing Crea. Yes, if you like Terraria or anything similar to it then I recommend Crea. No, because it is abandoned and isn't working correctly for why I don't recommend Crea.

Abandonware made worse by the dev having the gaul to advertise a new game on the carcass of this one. Avoid Crea and any other games this dev might make. I'd call this a cash grab, but this is worse than a cash grab, cash grabs at laest have the decency of not showing any potential.
Good game. I would compare it to terraria and starbound in its art style and general play style.

Dies ist wohl eines der besten games die sich nach Terraria ähneln. Es macht enorm viel Spaß, am besten natürlich mit Freunden.
Es gibt hier allerdings einige Bugs. Das Wasser z.B. verhält sich nicht wie es sollte. Bricht man die Wand auf, fließt das Wasser, platziert man erneut einen Block als Wand, egal welches, fließt das Wasser dennoch und das durch die frisch platzierte Wand.
Was mich aber am meisten stört ist, dass man seinen loot verliert, wenn man stirbt. Man kann dies leider auch nicht ausstellen.

A dead, unfinished game abandoned by the developer. It has a lot of promise, which is why the outcome is so sad. There are large areas that need to be re-though out, and redone, and much, much more needs to be added in for it to be a full game. If anyone claims that this is a full game, or completed, they are delusional. It is too bad, because it seems like there was a lot of talent that went into making this game. A shame that it never got to where it could be, and that would have been a very good game.
Don't buy this, don't support this developer. Even if it is on sale and super cheap, it just isn't worth it to support terrible business practices like this. Отвратительно скучная и нудная игра. Если вы тут в надежде поиграть во что-то похожее на терку, или какой либо новый взгляд, то смело отказывайтесь от покупки игры .
Тут нет ничего особенного, она просто линейная, при чем с бестолковым и неинтересным гриндом. Нарулил себе в пещерах ресов на новую кирку? Теперь 5 часов лупи мобов чтобы поднять 2 уровня, затем пройди чуть вправо, где монстры повыше лвл, и снова лупи их до пока не достигнешь нужный уровень до кирки. Процесс повторить. Скучно, нудно, бессмысленно.
Данжы это особенная глупость игры. проходя длинный данж надеешься что получишь шмотку, пуху, а в итоге только ресурсы. В этой игре вообще в сундуках нет ничего кроме ресурсов, все шмотки нужно крафтить в линейной последовательности, а потом опять лупить однотипных мобов чтобы ее надеть.

A good hack and slash side scroller with Terraria in the background. Boss fights and combat in general feels good when you're not under leveled. Overall a good game to just zen out and slash around.
When this first came out it was a great game good idea and had promise. The truth is this game was a terrible joke of a game with updates that the developer treated as a major update but all it did was rework the way you did research. There had to be around 20 major updates that just reworked the research aspect of the game. The developer did this with many aspects of the game with no progress being done what so ever. Nothing was done in this game and then the DEV abandoned it and ran off with all the money just a crook never buy games from this dev until you do the research first

Kurz und bündig: Nette Alternative für Terraria, die aber leider nicht mehr weiterentwickelt wird :(
Wenn man etwas für zwischendurch als Alternative sucht, wird man hier fündig. Auch wenn man ein bisschen mit der (sehr dürftig dokumentierten) Modding-Schnittstelle basteln will, kann man sich hier mal dran probieren.
Wenn man es mal im Sale für ein paar Euro bekommt, kann man es sich zulegen. Allerdings sollte man nicht unbedingt mehr ausgeben, da es wie gesagt nicht mehr weiterentwickelt wird.
