unplayable, difficulty is impossible, coop make pc player have max 3 mags then can just die cause cant shoot or do anything to get more ammo other than killing zombies with 1% chance of dropping 1 mag of 8 bullets, and there is way too little money that you cant get anything to upgrade yourself after the first mission wich is the only playable one, and vr controls are absolute garbage, even a 2011 beta of a vr game got 50 time better controls, good thing i can get reimbursed

when i bought this i thought it was fun till i relized there wasnt much i could do but stand there and shoot and i needed a secound player. would i recomand the game yes. but be warned if you are not into arcade shooter this isnt the game for you. but if you love arcade like shooter games then have fun

This game has an awesome concept of letting you play on your pc while someone is on VR locally, but, it just needs a little more work. The game felt slow paced and the controls were questionable. Not really worth the full price tbh

Lots of fun with a friend in local co-op using PC and VR. For that alone this game stands out. The rest is less flattering. Definitely has the feel of a low budget title, assets and maps aren't spectacular. In spite of that, there is some charm in the atmosphere. The design of objectives make it fun enough to replay for a while. Some considerable jank tho. I'm pretty sure achievements broke for me.
I've played just a bit of the sequel now and it appears to be a noticeable step up in most regards. Still, for PC and VR local, there isn't much game in town, so I'd say buy this one on sale or in a bundle, like I did.

Can remember playing it when it only had survival mode, and i was using a cheap headset. I Wasnt that impressed.
Just tried it again today with a better one, and actually had a blast! the guns especially the Colt sound Great! such a nice pop to them. Getting headshots is Sooo satisfying. the scavenge mode is simple but man... So much fun.
Game has a nice little upgrade system for gear and weapon mods. The Dev clearly put in love & Care into making this a nice little zombie shooter over the years. not much in the way of options, No graphics options at all. but atleast can change loco direction from controller to headset! FOR SURE recommend it even at full price!

I get motion sickness easily, but most VR games allow you to move by teleporting short distances to avoid getting sick. But not this game, you can only move with the joystick, so I get sick really fast and just can't play any of the locomotion levels. Anyway the objectives are boring, I understand it is a small game from the beginnings of VR developped by 1 person, so I don't blame the developper. If there is no teleportation in the sequel, I'm not gonna bother giving it a try since I'll get motion sickness too. Wish I didn't have this problem.

Gameplay is NICE! boink with decapitation and ragdoll. Unlock katana and become sword. Personally I prefer to completely forget how to word and grab the left 4 dead shotgun with night vision goggles.
Story EXISTS! They wrote something and it's possible to follow along. You do not need a game guide to figure this game out although you may end up doing back tracking between levels to complete all objectives, unlock all doors*
Replay-ability! New Game+, in addition to a Challenge Mode. Unlock move speed modifiers and health kits after first game completion.
Multiplayer available, not sure about cross compatability yet however this game does exist stand alone on the Oculus store.

Motion sickness however is a thing, I GOT VIOLENTLY MOTION SICK. but that is to be expected with vr to an extent. I managed ~50 minutes first session. Factory gave me no issues but the city for movement i had to immediately quit.
Will try it again after a nap and i aquire some motionsickness tablets. If i cannot do it on the next session I'd have to refund. NOT BECAUSE I DISLIKED IT but bc idk if id be able to handle getting sick like that every time

Si lo compras de oferta no esta nada mal. Es el típico juego de disparos donde ir desbloqueando armas y extras.
Su principal aliciente es ir probando distinto armamento para destrozar zombies.
Con el tiempo se te va a hacer repetitivo pero para echar partidas random sin complicaciones esta muy bien.

Игра представляет собой шутер с небольшим уклоном в покупки, улучшений, абгрейд и прокачку. На своей базе вы можете приобретать оружие, немного обвеса к нему и прокачивать макс ХП. На этом по большому счету ваши возможности на базе заканчиваются. В целом вас ждет 9 пушек, к которым можно прикрепить 3 разновидности обвеса(Глушитель, фанарик и лазерную указку). Оружие покупаются за валюту, здоровье и овес за ящички, которые можно собрать на вылазке или получить за выполнение заданий.
Что из себя представляет сама игра? У вас есть 3 разновидности заданий. Защита себя любимого стоя на месте и отстреливаясь от зомби, которые прут с разных направлений, вылазка в город, где нужно ходить по небольшой локации и собирать ящики и отстреливаться от зомби и защита объекта, где нужно стоя где то в далеке что либо защищать от зомби. Графика, с учетом стоимости игры, хорошая, зомби выглядят даже немного разнообразно. Оружие слабо отличается друг от друга, по сути все пушки в игре можно разделить на 3 вида(Пистолеты, Автоматы, один дробовик и одна снайперская винтовка) и отличаются они лишь внешним видом и перезарядкой. Да, здесь немного присутствует реалистичная перезарядка, где вам нужно вставлять магазин и передергивать затвор) Это, конечно, классно, но было бы еще лучше, если бы у нас руки выглядели в самой игре как руки, а не контролеры.
Но даже со всем вышеперечисленным игра довольно однообразна. Хоть и видно, что разработчики пытались разнообразить игровой процесс. Где то у нас просто темно, где то нужно собирать топливо для генератора, где то встречаются особые виды врагов, но тем не менее. С тем, как в игре устроен гринд, по моему вышел большой промах. Суть в том, что в любой миссии вы так или иначе набираете валюту за счет определенных действий и когда вам хватит решаете вы сами, вызывая вертолет специальной кнопкой, который забирает вас через минуту. Если у вас не выходит дождаться вертолета и вы умираете, то все накопленные за раунд ресурсы сгорают. И это действительно интересно, к этому претензий нет. Суть претензии в том, что почему то на более сложных уровнях награда не увеличивается, а фармить становится сложнее + высокий шанс, что вы просто не дождетесь вертолета и ваши награды сгорят. Таким образом игра вынуждает гриндить на легких локациях, что делает игру еще более однообразной. Да и пушек и улучшений на мой взгляд не сильно много. Но несмотря на эти неудобства игра стоит потраченного времени и цена примерно оправдана, а по скидке тем более.

I was recommended Containment Initiative by a friend. A VR zombie shooter that can be played with a friend on the same PC. Sounds really fun right! Well, I was more than surprised to see how addictive this simple zombie shooter is. First of all, guns are punchy and loud. Every gun sounds like an actual gun. There is an AR-15 in the game and my GOD it is sounds beautiful. Quote from the friend that recommended the game "sounds like God snapping his fingers himself". There are a variety of guns ranging from pistols to grenade launchers. Also all of the guns are satisfying to reload.
Soundtrack is good and can vary in sound. Sometimes you will be met with a cool guitar riff preparing you for a fun zombie genocide. Other times you will have an eerie atmospheric white noise in the background that makes your skin crawl. Decent soundtrack that is good at setting the mood.
Controls are easy to learn. It took my girlfriend (who is not VR savvy) just two missions to start slaying zombies easily.
Zombies are generic looking but you kind of forget about it once you start popping heads in a row. There are special zombies called "Mutants". They are there to keep you on your toes and not mindlessly shoot (even though it's fun to do so). Zombies and Mutants will stagger and react to your gunshots.
COOP is where the game truly shines. I have felt panic (in a good fun way of course) struggling to reload while a zombie runs at me, then for my friend to swoop in and save my ass. I have had a few instances of covering a buddy while they go for a much needed ammo pickup placed in a horde of zombies. Or having my ass saved while we both take on a separate horde at once.It's nice knowing you have another pair of eyes behind your back. PC player is only given limited options when it comes to guns. Only pistols and sniper rifles with upgrades that I can see. Also VR player is given infinite ammo while PC player is required to fill their ammo pockets from pickups. I can understand the limited options for PC players so the game does not become too easy. The game actually is quite difficult without a buddy so if both players had an unlimited arsenal the game would be trivial.
Overall, if you like COOP zombie shooters get it. If you like realistic guns in your VR game then get it. HELL, if you have 10 bucks and a good friend with a VR headset get the game cause it's that fun!

Honestly? It's a fun game. It might look a little bland but the loot n shoot gameplay is fun, alongside the objective that you need to get done. It even has Local Co-OP so someone can be at the MnK supporting you at a rooftop or fighting alongside you.
Das Spiel macht unglaublich viel Spass. Habe es mit meiner Freundin gespielt. Eine Person spielt am HMD, die andere am PC-Bildschirm.

Hier ist alles ein wenig ernsthafter, ruhiger und gesitteter (eher der klassische Shooter).
Zu empfehlen, wenn man auf das manuelle Nachladen verzichten kann (das funktioniert nämlich nicht besonders gut. Und Zeit ist hier wichtig). Und mit einer eher langsamen Fortbewegung leben kann (wenn man sich bewegen kann).
Verschiedene Möglichkeiten zu spielen: Überleben, Verteidigen (zum Beispiel einen Hubschrauber), Aufgaben erfüllen (Kisten sammeln und an einen bestimmten Punkt bringen). Single oder mit jemanden zusammen. Letzteres muss wohl jemand aus der Freundesliste übernehmen, denn die Server sind leer.
Es gibt verschiedene Zombiearten, die ganz gewöhnlichen, die schnell rennenden, die "Alien-Zombies", irgendwas Großes mit roten Stellen am Körper - und vermutlich noch einige andere, denen ich noch nicht begegnet bin.
Waffen sind einige im Angebot, die sich nach und nach freischalten lassen. Dazu diverses Zubehör, wie Laser (wenn man sowas braucht), Taschenlampe... Dazu hat man noch eine nette Axt. Habe beim Kisten suchen aber auch ein Katana gefunden.
Spiel ist schon etwas älter. Derzeit für knapp 3,- Euro zu haben. Dafür bietet es dann schon eine Menge.
Very fun game, the dev truly seems to care and from my few interactions with him I realized that this is 100% worth picking up if you enjoy shooting zombies in VR.
Pretty awesome shooter, and unlike many others I've seen, the dev has given players the choice of whether they want Locomotion (Character Movement in game) or you may play in a stationary position and hold out in defence for as long as you feel confident.

there are 3 survival maps (you cant move on these maps) but zombies come from all directions.
and you have to survive.
there are about 5 locomotion maps (where you can move),i like these the most.
first map is the easy one,the other maps have special infected.
there are also 2 defend maps,(cant move here either),where you need to protect something.
i have most fun with the locomotion maps.
there are about 12 weapons,and 4 melee weapons.
i bought the game for under 3 bucks (sale),do not expect much,but its a nice zombie shooter.
have not tried co-op.
most co-op games,like borderlands,and about 80% of all co-op zombie shooters...
are unbalanced,and almost unplayable solo.
( if you alone,or with 4 people,the amount of zombies remains the same in these co-op games,there not any easier alone,these games need to be adjusted for solo play.)

I am 32 years old.
My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old.
When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing.
Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side.
With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay.
After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like.
Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends.
Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together.
Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that.

Unfortunately, this game does not have a lot of content, cool graphics or polished gameplay. But if you have a VR headset and a computer, this game can give you several very fun hours of playing with your friend. Unfortunately, there are not many similar games.
Not only is this game super scary, and has had me horrified to go to each next level, but the developer is an AMAZING person.
I have had an issue with remote play, not allowing me to invite people, and the dev, CIDev, has been helping me every step of the way. Giving me tips, troubleshooting ideas, everything.
Despite the broken mess that steam is and the fact that it didn't work, he is still currently trying to help.
9/10 game already in my opinion, but bumped up by the fact the dev still cares about his game :)

This is one of the only VR titles i know of where you can play a PCVR title and have your co-op multiplayer use the same computer to join you. While unpolished, not as graphically phenomenal as other PCVR titles and not quite as terrifying as the likes of resident evil, I have to give this game credit where it’s due. Containment Initiative is scary. It has nice fire arm mechanics as well.

One of my favorite VR zombie games. The VR/PC local coop is really well done, and it makes this game a lot more fun with a friend. It has some jank, but i like it, cuz it makes the expierience more fun! The game modes are easy to understand and play, and the game also features replayability, which is a big plus. Overall, if you have a vr headset, and a friend close by, buy this game. It's really cheap. Overall, its a great game to play with a friend (though if you dont have friends its still fun nonetheless) and if you dont have a VR headset, there is a PC version thats 10X cheaper.
Played a couple of hours of this with my wife as the PC player. It's a lot of fun shooting the undead together.

Really good concept and plays great with or with out a friend but, no new updates and after finishing everything it gets boring and bland cause you basically have everything.
This game is great and really fun to play with a friend. Also when it is on sale you can get it for just $1 which is a great price for a asymmetrical VR game with lots of replay value. Overall 8/10 Solid Game

its an ok vr zombie game. lacking in many areas but simple enough to get the job done. there is asymmetrical game play. $10 isnt asking much and thats a good thing.
I gave this game a good go through and found it to be good fun. It works really well at what it set out to do. There are a couple missions of different types and greater challenge if you want to press on. The progression is money and crates to buy new weapons. I went through it all once, but it encourages you to go through it for more rewards a number of times and on harder difficulties. It's cool that this kind of game has a coop. I felt it was worth the money for the amount of fun I had.

This is the only game in my entire library that I am returning. Absolute Dog S*** . Can't get in a game together. controls are glitchy. no instructions on how to do anything. Also, the asymmetric multiplayer doesn't work at all. Friends on PC just goto black screen. Meanwhile I can shoot zombies but its literally so hard that I can't survive for more than a minute.

So, the first thing - it works suboptimal on the Valve's Knuckles controllers, may be actually more enjoyable on some cheaper alternatives, so keep that in mind
It looks and feels like a cheap indi game made by a small team of amateurs, but really is cheap, especially on sales, and there is a Co-op option available, and not just a normal co-op, but also a local one, when someone can play on the mouse/keyboard of the same PC, so I guess it's worth buing?

Simple but fun. Good for a spared afternoon.
Amazing game despite costing so little. The gunplay is realistic, the missions are varied, the zombies are varied, and the horror factor well magnified by the good use of VR and other mechanics. Technically, this game is polished enough to never crash on it or even lag despite me using SteamVR to link to my Pico 4. The developers could come up with a DLC and I'll buy it in a heartbeat. This is just begging for a sequel, or alternatively, the devs could move on to something else and I'll seriously consider buying their next project.
One player in VR, another in FPS on the same PC!
While it's a bit rough around the edges (not all zombies make footstep sounds, leading to surprise hits from behind; would like to see the health upgrades affect the coop player also), overall it's a fun experience especially coop with someone less experienced in FPS games.

This is a fantastic game to get started in VR zombie / survival / horror. It's 101 zombie shooting. Once you master this game you'll be ready for the more expansive, feature rich VR zombie shooter games out there.

I had a blast playing this game, it's rough needs some polishing, but playing in co-op while your buddy helps you with a sniper rifle is super fun or just having him on the ground with you. Do not expect a AAA experience it's gimmicky, repetitive kind of easy but so damn fun. You need some space\room to move tough, turning doesn't work for on my controller. The price is super fair for what it offers, if you have a buddy or a brother playing this will really make your day, we need more games like this Bring back the co-op "couch games".

Impressive that the developer is still updating the game with new content in 2022 - that's the main reason I bought this, as usually with 2017 era VR games you're lucky if it even works at all. This one works perfectly on Valve Index (though it does show Vive wands in the tutorial).
Pretty cool one man project game, it was one of my first VR games I ever played. The game is still getting content so is deserves a thumb up.

A nice VR game, made especially better with the dual-play (one person can play on host PC, while the other can play on VR headset).
Dual-play also supports Steam Cloud Play, so you don't even have to have someone at the PC!
The gunplay is nice, but everything has no weight so you can freehand an AR while slicing away with an axe.
I kinda wish there was more with coop play though. My partner can only use a variety of pistols on the ground, or a rifle for sniper support - both with limited ammo.
Great Asymmetric VR game with an indie following. I hope more games can take this concept and apply it to their games. Really fun to invite a friend over and take turns playing the headset/PC. The only complaint I have is that I wish it had full controller support. I could not get my xbox controller to work with it and reverted to mouse/keyboard.
At this point in time 09/06/22, this has got to be one of the top 10 WORST VR games i've ever played. Having to struggle with holstering the pistol. Having to set the adjustments EVERY time i get in the game.

This is the best VR game I've played, and it was only $2.49. Its great the way it is, but the dev seems to be still working on it. After reading the reviews, I wasn't expecting much on the UI, but there are things like options for lowering the holster height, small room mode, etc. They've really nailed the QOL things. Gameplay is a hoot too.
Básicamente un juego de zombis por holeadas. Super sencillo con mapas muy chicos. Un numero suficiente de armas y mecánicas simples, aunque contamos con un sistema de recarga de armas bastante completo.
Realmente, si quieres algo para pasar un tiempo corto sin complicarte mucho, pues vale la pena siempre y cuando no te cueste más de un par de dólares.
Apenas recomendable.

I bought this game on sale and was pleasantly surprised. The game is basic but has a lot of fun modes and weapons to unlock and is definitely worth the discounted price. Adding a full player model would really improve it.
Honestly i was looking for a fun experience that i could show my non vr friends and this was perfect. The fact that i could have a friend play on pc and i had the oculus on was actually kind of mind blowing and i just want to say props to the dev for making such a fun experience. The gaming community salutes you!!!!!!!
The game is got a lot of potential that's enough for the positive review so that the developer continue working on the game.
