An incredibly harsh and poetic game - Perfect if you need to go through a catharsis, or are in the middle of an existential crisis. I appreciated the diversity of characters ethnicities and abilities. I also loved the philosophical take on fungal networks both working in symbiosis with, and competing with AI technology, too.

Dont buy this game if u dont like sci-fi.

This game has everything i enjoyed, dice, skill tree, reading, what u see is pretty much what u get. However i knew i wasnt a fan of sci-fi, what i didnt know was that i hated it with a bored passion [if that even makes sense]

Turns out if my story isnt speaking fantasy then im not interested and will start skipping the plot and making big decisions without knowing i did and that isnt the mindset i wanted to have for this game.

Crazy how a single genre stops my enjoyment of the game yet it remained true, havent touched it for a year and my body shivers whenever i think of giving the game another chance. So while this game is great, i am a victim of my own decision and i pled that u take away one thing from this review.

Dont buy this game if u dont like sci-fi.

The simple pre-rolled dice mechanic at the heart of Citizen Sleeper might seem simple, but it's such a brilliant idea. The game is stressful in a good way at the start because you're spinning so many plates: making ends meet, paying off a bounty hunter, uncovering a conspiracy, getting involved with a gang etc. You feel a squeeze that forces you to prioritize your goals. While that maybe too stressful for some, it's exactly what I needed. It's complemented by some very likeable characters and great, mature writing. Definitely left me in tears on more than one occasion. The game does get easier towards the end and some of the storylines merely give you the illusion of choice, but I didn't find fault in that. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and one that kept me playing even after a reached one ending because I wanted to see all the stories to completion. Highly recommended!

世界観、ゲーム内のビジュアル、UI、BGM。全てが《美しく》《かきたてられ》《落ち着いた》素晴らしいものだった。
生活感のあるSF、というべきだろうか。果てのない宇宙はただ見つめることしかできない。ゆっくりと朽ちていく自分のものではない自分の身体を抱えて、同じくどこもかしこもボロボロで限界が近いちっぽけなステーションの中を彷徨う。「どこまでいっても自身は異物である」という底冷えのするような孤独感と、「今日もここで眠ることができる」「生きている」という安堵感が同居している日々。
そんな中で少しずつ“生活”が作られていく。安全な働き口、手取りの良い稼ぎ方、必要なものの値段、食事にありつける所……。なにもかも手探りで、当然痛い目にも遭うが、ちょっとしたこと（例えばすごく美味しいキノコ料理を食べられたとか）が「生きよう」という気持ちを積み重ねてくれる。こうして“瞳”に根を張っていった軌跡が、いつしかかけがえのない人生になっていることに気づく瞬間がある。それは間違いなくこのゲームの魅力だと思う。

TRPGプレイヤーとしては、このゲームのロールプレイングゲーム的側面にも注目したい。
ルールをざっくり説明すると、毎日の最初に決まった個数のダイス（＝サイコロ）を振り、出たダイスの出目を消費することでひとつひとつの行動を行うことができる。消費するダイスの出目が高いほど行動の結果は良いものになりやすいが、先述の通り1日に使えるダイスの個数は限られているので、どの出目をどの行動に消費するかの判断が必要だ。
この「一日の中でダイスをやりくりしていく」感覚が良い。まさに“生活感”がある。システムとして面白い。
主人公の体調は日々悪化していくため、だんだんと一日の初めに振るダイスの数が減る。ダイスが減れば単純に、できることが減る。自分の体が弱っていく確かな手触りが生まれる。（※回復手段もあるのでご安心を）
物語の途中でハッキングができるようになると、これまた選択肢が増える。
面白い。世界観のシステムへの組み込み方が面白いRPGは、良いRPGだ。

自分が行動しない限りゲーム内時間が進むことはないため、状況としては駆り立てられることがあってもゲーム上は決して急かされることはない。一手ずつ自分のペースでじっくり考えることができて、ありがたい。
リアルタイムで減少するリソースや恐怖演出に焦らされるような体験が苦手な人にはとてもおすすめだ。

そしてやはり最大の魅力はストーリーと描写文だろう。膨大すぎるのと私の理解力不足で上手く紹介することができないが、とにかく文字を読むのが大好きな人はお喜びください。沢山あります。
SF世界観の未来で生きる、かなり厄介な“訳アリ”の、特異な体を抱えた主人公。その五感が浴びている世界を、鮮やかな質感をもって描いている。とてもかきたてられる描写の数々を味わえる。
加えて、物語の原動力となっているのが“瞳”に暮らす人々の情だと思う。もちろん利益のための関係だってあるが、ポジティブなものにしろネガティブなものにしろ常に「情」があって、「情」によって運命が動かされていた。そんな印象が残っている。
数多くの登場人物たちと同時並行で関わりながら、やがて第二の故郷をどこに据えるのかという人生の命題と向き合うことになる主人公。果ては“アーリンの瞳”全体を揺るがす変化の渦に飲み込まれるかもしれない。ただ、きっとそのときには、プレイヤーはどうしようもなく“瞳”を愛してしまっているんじゃないだろうか。“瞳”に生きる人々と生きてしまったから。どんなに酷い場所だったとしても、生きていた事実は消えない。

いわゆる人外キャラクターが好きな人にも触れてみてほしいパートがある。主人公がデータネットワークの世界に潜入できるようになってから、そこで出会う存在たち。ビジュアルと各々の在り方がとても魅力的で、私のイチオシである。機械やプログラムが“生きている”描写は良いものだ。

それと、元々私はノンバイナリーのキャラクターが登場すると聞いてこのゲームを始めたところもあり、多様なキャラクターの描き方についてもある程度安心してよいのではないかと思う。（見落としがあったら申し訳ない。）

実はまだ一つのセーブデータでしか遊んでおらず、初期クラスも採掘人しか触っていないので、もう一周ほど遊んでみるつもりだ。回収していない実績もあるので見ておきたい。
（ちなみに、採掘人の初期スキル「光合成スキン」は使いどころが難しく持ち腐れてしまった。行動用のダイスは貴重なので序盤は特に浪費したくないし、ゲームが進むと高効率の活力回復手段にさほど困らなくなる。）

最後にあの、本当にTRPGのルルブ出してくれませんか？　毎サイクルじっっっとりと自分の体が弱っていくのを感じながら、ダイスをやりくりしたいんすよ。チット稼いでキノコ食いつないで、人の情けに縋って縋られて、その日暮らししたいんすよ。自分、“瞳”で生活したいんすよ。
えっ自分が知らないだけでもうどっかで出てたりします？？？

I don’t usually review games, but this one is an exception. I really enjoyed it — I got all the endings and 100% achievements.

This game awakens a feeling of being far away from Earth, trapped in an unstable body on an unknown station, unsure what to do, think, or expect. There’s a constant sense of uncertainty and vulnerability — you’re alone in space.

But as you meet people, you realize there are many others like you. You build relationships, make friends, work, explore the station, and try to find a better place for yourself.

Citizen Sleeper is a TTRPG-inspired indie game by Gareth Damian Martin.
To keep things simple, I’ll go through the pros and cons, and then give a short conclusion.

[b]1) Music[/b]
One of the strongest parts of the game, on par with the writing.
The soundtrack by Amos Roddy creates a unique atmosphere and really helps immersion.

Some tracks are so good I added them to my playlist. The way music changes during dialogue via the Jukebox system is amazing.

[b]2) Writing & Characters[/b]
English is not my first language, and I actually started this game to improve it. The writing is excellent.

At first it was challenging, but after a few hours it became much easier, and I learned a lot of new vocabulary.

The world-building is detailed and immersive — descriptions of places, characters, and ships make everything feel alive.
Characters are especially well-developed: they feel real, with their own struggles, personalities, and stories. You actually care about what happens to them.

Dialogue choices are good, though not always very impactful.

Beautiful. The art by Guillaume Singelin is fantastic.

I especially love scenes near The Eye. The interface is clean and convenient. Small details, like constantly moving ships, make the station feel alive.

[b]4) Dice & Mechanics[/b]
The gameplay loop is engaging: managing condition, finding food, trading, crafting.
The dice system fits perfectly and adds tension without being frustrating.

[b]5) Performance[/b]
The game runs well even on low-end laptops.
I played at a stable 60 FPS without a dedicated graphics card, which makes it very accessible.

[b]1) Stray Cat[/b]
The idea of having a pet is great — I was excited when I met Stray.
But after feeding him once… nothing really happens.

I spent 100 cryo on his food, and there was no new interaction. I expected more development here.

[b]2) Lack of Consequences[/b]
The main issue for me: you can almost always help everyone.

There are very few tough decisions where you must sacrifice something — money, time, or even lives.
The game feels a bit too positive and sometimes naive for a cyberpunk setting, which is usually harsher and more brutal.

[b]3) Cloud Mechanic[/b]
The Cloud is interesting, but feels underused.

It would be great if missions had multiple approaches: hacking via the Cloud, engineering solutions, or brute force.
This would increase replayability and make character builds more meaningful.

[b]4) Shelters[/b]
There are several shelters, but they don’t feel very different.

Adding unique features or bonuses to each one would make them more meaningful and add variety.

[h2]Summary[/h2]

I love this game — its music, its story, its atmosphere, and The Eye.
It gave me about 30 hours of engaging gameplay and storytelling.

Considering it was made by a small team, it’s very polished. I didn’t encounter any bugs.
My criticism comes from appreciation — I just see even more potential in it.

Citizen Sleeper feels distinctive, organic, and complete.

[b]I highly recommend it to anyone who isn’t against text-heavy games.[/b]

Also, if you decide to play, don’t forget to complete [i]Episode: FLUX[/i] and [i]Episode: REFUGE[/i] — they are just as interesting as the base game and really worth your time.

I’ve already bought Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector and can’t wait to play it.

Citizen Sleeper was a standout experience with a beautifully minimalist style, phenomenal art, and very subtle, but engaging music that really pulls you into its world. The gameplay loop felt unique for me, and I found myself genuinely caring about the characters and their stories. The amount of choices you have that can affect the outcome are fairly extensive and do provide some replayability as well.

It can get a bit repetitive at times, and some of the timed tasks were a little frustrating, but I didn’t find these things taking away from how much I enjoyed it.

I played on a steamdeck oled and didn’t have any major issues, once I got the hang of navigating the station and menus.

If you want another take on stories about cyberpunk, capitalism and human sorrow, this is for you.

this game has a soul. A soul that delivers the theme of hyper-capitalism that I love about. Play as a copy-of-real-human who will interact with various human, see what they think of current situation, their dream and hope. I got shattered when one of them is betrayed by the very company they work for, damn it.

The gameplay is not its strength, TBH. Easy to understand and not much depth. However, at least it's not that complicated and that's a plus for one who want to enjoy the story and the theme like me

One of the most beautifully written story I have witnessed, an absolute masterpiece.

The story pulls you right in and weaves a web of interconnected characters and storylines. It felt as though I were part of this world, as though my survival were at stake, carefully weighing every decision and its consequences to find the best path to survival.

I don't usually put reviews on single player games cause I have a habit of not finishing them. But this one was different everything about it kept drawing me in the characters the world hell even the survival mechanics had me feeling like I was really on the eye as corny as that sounds. This game drew me into the world and boy did it deliver, every ending made me second guess myself every chance I got a choice to leave the eye only made me want to stay and help more. God I must sound like a cry baby but this games story is just that great, now if you'll excuse me I'm gonna go insta buy the second one and play that till i fall over

-The first 10 hours were great gameplay wise, very refreshing after all the AAA slop that came out recently. BUT
-A lot of "they/them" constantly being pushed into your face is very annoying... I could probablt overlook that if there was only one charactrer like that, but like half of them are like this. The only two likable ones were the veteran and his adoptive daughter.
-And the refugee help mission being just straight aids, did not help things either. Why am i even supposed to help them? You learn of them today and leap to the rescue putting your fragile mechanical body at risk.
-8 whole components and a lot of work, and for what? To increase The Eye's already inflated labour pool and reduce wages even further? And i didn't see a peacefull/friendly option either, you are directly and by force smuggling these "refugees" against direct wishes of the citizens of the rim... This is just lazy writing... The place is already a hellhole with 0 career prospects. The least you could do is to make it a choice between force and negotioation with The Eye's ''government'' or the closest thing to it....
On the other hand i didn't meet even one attractive girl either, on the whole station, like they stopped existing, only crazy roid heads, a sweet gramma and a bald, but somehow child looking mechanic up top....
Also white people seem to havestopped existing as well.

I really wanted to enjoy this game. I'm a huge fan of Disco Elysium, and I was genuinely drawn to the sci-fi, cyberpunk-like setting that Citizen Sleeper offers. Unfortunately, the lack of meaningful gameplay and animations, combined with large amounts of unvoiced dialogue and minimal music, made the experience feel more like reading than playing. While the game does include dialogue choices, they rarely seem to have a real impact. In the end, it felt like a good book, but not a great game.

i find this game to be quite nice and melancoly at time. the gameplay is simple and easy to understand so anyone can easily play it. the story is very good and well written for each of of their character. The graphic and art are quite good in my opinion as we are able to see the station itself and each character are well drawn between one another. The game offer multiple ways to end the game and it is up to you to choose it or not. I heard Citizen Sleeper 2 is out so i cant wait try that one out.

My review time is for a completionist playthrough (all achievements plus doing the postgame quests), plus doing a few short playthroughs for achievements, minus 6 hours because I accidently left it running overnight and another hour or so for when I tried the game a while ago and it didn't click. Once it clicked it really clicked! I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I initially played on Steam Deck on my first playthrough where it didn't click, and having played on keyboard and mouse I highly recommend that. The controller scheme is not bad, it just feels really nice to sit back and play with keyboard and mouse. I had no idea you could rotate the station for hours as I was playing it without using the keyboard at all. Extremely accessible, played with basically just mouse, no button remapping to my mouse buttons of anything. Somehow it did not feel shallow despite simple controls. The UI reminded me a lot of Disco Elysium and the character art was really nice, I really liked the little bit of portrait variety, like characters having different portraits in low gravity. Huge variety of characters and their art is related to their story sometimes.

My favourite storyline was Lem and Mina. I missed them for a looong time as their quest chain wasn't near where I tended to hang around. I shed a small tear for one of their endings, the one I considered canon for my playthrough, which is my metric for games deserving a good review lol. Getting all of the achievements for them was very annoying though. [spoiler]You cannot get the achievement for going off on the colony ship alone if you help them, you have to completely ignore them. If you babysit Mina you only get the option to destroy all of the passes or give them the passes, not to just keep one yours and destroy theirs. This feels like a tuning issue as it is a feasible thing you could do and I had to waste time on two additional playthroughs because of the lack of an autosave system and because I couldn't figure out what the issue was.[/spoiler] The game gave you a lot of other chances to go back on decisions so it felt weird that this part of their questline was all or nothing for no reason. I understand not wanting people to save scum, but it felt punishing for no reason for just this one questline.

I also really liked Ankhita's questline. I didn't see it going in an interesting direction, but it did, and I really liked that. I like that her questline crossed over with Bliss's questline, it felt like being a child and seeing your teacher at the supermarket when their questlines crossed over.

i liked that there was no pros to feeding the stray. I would have liked to see the portrait more than once though.

I was not a fan of the very endgame quests, maybe because I'm pretty achievement focused and it didn't have any. It was decent, I really liked Peake, they were one of my favourite characters, but it didn't hit for me for some reason.

Since there’s no such thing as a neutral review, I weighed the pros and cons and had to give it a negative rating.

It’s not a bad game. Unfortunately, it suffers from a few issues.

The dice system only determines how quickly we perform a given action or event. Penalties for bad rolls are really small, and waiting until the next day has no big consequences.
The choices we make often don’t matter much, and you get the feeling that you’re just a passenger in this story.
There are various storylines and characters we encounter, but each one is essentially a separate, standalone story. There is no connection between them. After completing an action with a character, they usually disappear, and if they reappear later in the game, it’s only briefly, with no impact on the character’s future.
The choice of class itself is essentially meaningless. It only affects the first few turns or cycles. Character classes do not have their own unique dialogues, abilities, or limits that would shape the narrative.

The game takes place on a space station run by the remnants of a corporation and a gang. In theory, it should be hard to find anything here—parts, food, acceptance from the community—but everything seems organized and self-contained.

The alternate ending adds a bit of variety, but it’s really just a few more quests.

Overall, the story itself is quite interesting, but I miss the emotional connection that would tie me to the main character.
The whole thing is somewhat reminiscent of the story mode in Torment: Tides of Numenera, but there, the story descriptions and situations presented were more dynamic and allowed you to really get into the atmosphere. Here, there’s often an excess of text, describing essentially the same thing but using a lot of words.

Overall, it’s not a bad game. I even played it twice but I had slightly different expectations.

玩法还好，很多故事要一个个攒着解锁才能触发我真的不能理解，浪费我时间呢。要我帮忙的就说话，整的我是什么圣人心泛滥的滥好人一样，不是我都边缘人物梦游体了，一个两个的找我帮忙真的合理吗？
我还以为我的生存环境会很恶劣呢，结果最恶劣的就是要注意体况自己别给自己作死了就行，环境还挺包容我的，没有一个人因为我是梦游体就歧视我，只在口头上说两句就没了？拒绝合作都没有吗？那我真的挺边缘了哈。那么设置这个梦游体的人设是？纯好玩是吧。把我的身份换成难民也同样合理。
没有感受到梦游体是边缘人的感觉，反而觉得梦游体是救世主，每个故事线都因为有梦游体的参与而变的更好了。

Absolut geiles Game, Es war ne kleine Hürde das es nicht in Deutsch gab, aber einmal drin wurde ich direkt rein gezogen. Ich hab es als Interaktives Buch gesehen. Die Illustrationen, das Design und die Dialoge sind TOP, ganz zu schweigen vom grandiosen Soundtrack!
Hab mir direkt den zweiten Teil gekauft. Geil wäre es natürlich auf Deutsch gewesen und hätte locker 5 Euronen mehr gezahlt wäre es synchronisiert gewesen.

I didn’t know what to expect from this game because the screenshots were inscrutable and everyone just gushes in a very unspecific way about how great the game is.

It’s a gambling simulator with a devastatingly emotional Choose Your Own Adventure book attached. Anyone that has ever looked at their body and struggled with how different it is from their self-image will really appreciate the writing in this game. Also anyone that has ever had generations of their family destroyed by almost comically villainous capitalist institutions. Also everyone else.

If you’ve read any of the murderbot books by martha wells, you’ll know what I mean when I say this was just like playing a murderbot game except you don’t get guns, The internal monologue, uncertainty about identity, relationships with capricious humans, mistrust of kindness, exploitation and the horrors of unrestrained capitalism are all there.

Citizen Sleeper is at its core a visual novel but with the addition of a resource management mechanic in the form of 5 random d6 dice that you'll use to perform actions every day/cycle. This emotive, heartwarming and excellently written story, presented to you in the classic format of a visual novel, touches on several human-centered topics like how to move forward when everything seems lost, finding people who love and support you, looking for new dreams or reasons to live, etc. The art style, specially the character's design, is stunningly gorgeous and original with a lot of attention to details. Gameplaywise, you'll be able to progress through different actions that will move the story forward once completed with the help of the before-mentioned dice, while also having to manage an energy and condition bar. It's not a difficult gameplay loop, but it becomes easier if you always plan a bit in advance. I find it worth mentioning that Citizen Sleeper has multiple endings, but all of them can be played in 1 single playthrough, since the game will load to the previous save file once you've finished one ending, giving you the chance to pursue the rest.

作为科幻作品来说略显老套，尤其冯的支线（可能算是主线了）完全落入对抗大资本的那一套窠臼，汉化更是刻意翻译得诘屈聱牙十分难读，偶尔有些富有韵味的独白，但难以挑出特别出彩的地方，最喜欢的可能只有绿道的剧情，在钢铁和机械间生长着的蓬勃的生命是如此让人感到惬意，不是你选择了土地而是土地接纳了你……
玩法倒是增色不少，但平衡性欠佳，前期生存压力紧迫，后期又资源溢出过于无所事事，推荐尽快点出每天重新掷骰的二级技能，拿到后就可以躺玩

一つのルートを最後までプレイしました。

かつての大企業が建設した居住可能なオンボロスペースコロニーで目覚めた主人公が、命を繋ぎ守りながら生き抜くテキスト主体のゲーム。
ゲームの序盤はとにかくわからないことだらけで、いつ来るかもしれない追手にびくびくしながら生活しました。
体調や気分に合わせて増減するサイコロを使用した独自システムでゲームを進行します。
イベントをある程度進めていくと要所要所で、自身のステータスを強化することができる経験ポイントがもらえるので、最初の職業選択はそれほど悩まずに決めても何とかなります。
スペースコロニーにはマフィア、作業者、信奉者、人工知能そして未知の知的存在など様々な登場人物が独自の目的をもって生きているので、予測不能なドラマを楽しむことができます。

世界観とキャラクター達との関わり合いを楽しめる人にはお勧めできるゲームです。

I went into this game not expecting much, and came out of the other side genuinely missing the characters like I would real people. Every decision I made, every person who left at the end of their story, didn't feel like just finishing a storyline. It brought me real emotion, knowing I wouldn't be able to interact with them again or see them again, not knowing their fate once they left. Every action, slip up, and mistake I took felt like it carried real and genuine affects on the world around me. If you haven't played this game, I am begging you to try it. Well worth the money spent.

My first run was magical. Every choice was final, in a tangible way due to the time limit and I felt pressure even when I'd figured out how to indefinitely sustain myself in the end-game. You don't have all of the time in the world by design, and I actually regret gaming my resources so hard as I'd left a number of sidequests and stories unfinished.

This game wants you to make a choice, and to stand by it. This is intentional, and I will not be pursuing a second playthrough. It would cheapen how the first go through made me feel.

Good game. Lasted 5 hours, bought this on a severe discount because story based games are very hard to trust. You can trust this one.

This is one of those games that's going to be Very Positive on Steam because it does things mostly right and very little wrong but isn't as good as the overall review score.

Citizen Sleeper is a pseudo-RPG / Adventure game with a decent story and basic mechanics that work fairly well.
You're basically a sentient robot who wakes up onboard a space station with class conflict happening. You need food and every once in a while a recharge (for lack of a better term) or your character is in trouble. The worse they feel, the fewer actions they can take. That scarcity of actions and the constant need to refill your resources - essentially food and energy - drives a lot of the tension in the game. You're never really flush with enough resources to make those factors unconcerning, at least not for very long. The resource management is omnipresent the entire first half of the game and it slacks off a bit the latter half. Some don't like this but I appreciated it. Living on the ragged edge of resource depletion would have made it more difficult to enjoy the more complex stories of the back half of the game. If I had to stop every other day to go work in the scrap yard again, the game would have felt more like a needless grind. It didn't do that and I appreciate it.

So you'll run around the station, dodging corporate bad guys intent on capturing you, doing odd jobs, meeting people and solving problems. To solve a problem, you take one of your precious dice (depending on your "health", you can have as many as 5 dice per day but as few as 1) that has already been rolled. Depending on the roll number, you might meet with a success, a neutral or a negative outcome. That you're subject to die rolls each day is the randomness. Using them you have a pretty good idea what your odds are. While not exactly exciting, I like the mechanic. There's a randomness to it but there's a fair amount of strategy too on choosing what to use your precious 5s and 6s on in a given day - if you got one at all that day. Now this can, in some circumstances, really hurt you if you get a bad run of luck because some quests are timed. If you get a terrible run for 3 days in a row, you may not have any chance to solve that quest. But in general there's enough time and enough rolls that this isn't likely to be an issue.

The driver of the game is the narrative and setting. You'll meet some interesting people, interesting situations and you'll have some decisions to make along the way. The setting is a very politically charged space station, run by corporate interests and criminals. It's a bit of a bleak setting but the people you meet are often nice, though they don't always have the right motivations or ideas. It's refreshing to see good characters adopt bad plans rather than make everyone a mustache-twirling villain. There are choices you can make and paths you can choose.

How emotionally invested you get into the narrative will ultimately drive your enjoyment of the game. I felt a bit disconnected from this world and so while I appreciated the creativity of the setting and the fact that most of the text is well written, I wasn't ever emotionally invested. I found it interesting but not gripping. Without a strong connection to my character, I don't really have any desire to play it again and see what path other choices might take me down.

I also want to give a quick shout-out to the music, which was especially well done with multiple tracks that didn't get old and tended to match the scene that I was experiencing. There's no voice acting, so be prepared to read a lot.

In conclusion, this is a solid game. If you're connect with your character, you'll probably have a great time. If you're more like me and don't really identify with this world and your character, then it's a decent but tepid experience that you're not likely to want to revisit. If I was giving this a score on a scale of 1-10 (NOT the usual game review scale of 7-9 like you'd read on IGN), I'd give this a solid 6.5. At the current sale price of 70% off ($5.99 USD), you could do a lot worse.

Neo-liberal propaganda in which capitalism is evil for being a hierarchal power system while other hierarchal power systems like drug gangs are presented as the antidote. Every character who supports capitalism is selfish and sadistic to the degree of a comic book villain, while characters who work outside the corporate system are universally saints who only want to make the world a better place.

One of the main quests revolves around the leader of a cartel being revealed as a spy for the corporations. The quest involves trying to get rid of this spy, so that somebody who isn't a corporate spy can take over the cartel. This is eventually successful, which is treated as a win for the working class, since the gang isn't a corporation. The gang employs enforcers who go door to door in a working class neighbourhood extorting money from the residents under the threat of physical violence or even murder. The protagonist is not paid to get rid of the corporate spy leader of this cartel, the protagonist simply does this as an act of political activism. There is no quest to destroy the cartel, or any option to pick another side. It's treated as if it's obvious that McDonalds running a drug gang is horrible, but if the drug gang runs itself, that's okay.

Another quest involves discovering a commune in which everybody is an equal. This commune lets you sign up to their organization and leech their resources simply by completing a minor quest. The amount of resources you take from the commune far exceeds what you put in, yet the commune doesn't care. They shower you with unlimited free stuff, which bribes the player to continue interacting with this faction. The player is then told that this is why communism is better than capitalism; because they give you free stuff. No attempt is made to explain how an economy can function where nobody works, and everybody just collects free money from the government, this is simply swept under the rug. This exemplifies the games approach to political commentary. The writer or writers of this crap believe that political commentary is where you pretend that your "team" is utterly perfect and would create a society which is absolutely free of any hardship or suffering whatsoever, whereas whatever "team" you disagree with is responsible for literally everything bad in the entire world.

本作展现的宇宙边缘空间站丰富瑰奇的生灵百态有着不错的氛围感，关于赛博空间生命体与现实交互的方式也很有想象力。DLC拓展了故事空间，同时也融合了玩家在前面游戏进程中所做的努力，算是可圈可点。不过深度感觉一般。
最后我选了留在厄灵之眼。也许是比起半途相遇的难民船队，还是空间站本身更让我有归属感一些。又或者不是不爱漂泊，而是比起加入航向逐星带的社群，在这座尚且独立的空间站与所有人若即若离地生活才更像漂泊。

I just finished this game during a time of war in my country, daily the sounds of bombs and fear of death to myself, my family and loved ones.

Many of which left the country for refuge elsewhere, while I chose to stay, no different from the sleeper in my adventure. This game is a wonderful take on how life passes us by, people come and they go, events happen around us by forces often we don't understand that wish for nothing but to fuel its self interest at any cost.

I hope for a better world for those like me in the Eye and those who rode to newer pastures.

I really enjoyed that one.
Thanks to the many characters with overlapping stories, you can really feel like a part of this world. The pre-rolled dice that the game gives you each cycle really keep you engaged with the gameplay.
The only thing I didn't like is the fact that I couldn't finish some of the side quests because I progressed the main one too far without realizing it.

As a fan of Nier replicant, SOMA type of philosophhy and stories.. this game gave me a closer look, and one of the most beautiful journey I could ever experience in any form of media.. and thats all cause it lets you live the life of a consciousness running on a synthetic robot by whoever you want to live as... wanna complete your goal and escape eye as fast as possible? Yes.. you can do it under 5–6 hrs of playtime... want to help your friends n uncover some of the best lines of dialogues.. or understand urself clearly, well you can do it too. yeah it would take time, which certainly sleepers don't have.. lmaoo...but who knows, you might find someone, something.. that's worth spending the rest of your time with..

I really like this game. If you like the movie Blade Runner, then you get a unique experience of being a free cyborg on the run. make friends, repair yourself, try to survive. It has multiple plots and factions that makes it pretty interesting.. I am still in the middle of it but its good enough now to recommend it to people. the story is GREAT and the music is very nice. Some nice RPG elements also.

毎日ランダムに配られる１～６のダイスを使ってミッションをこなし話を進めていく
ビジュアルノベルライクなゲーム。上記の事から完全運ゲーに思えるが、スキルを
解放して行くと結構良い目を出しやすくなる。凄く練られたゲームバランスだ。

そしてやはり特筆すべきはこのシナリオだ。丁寧に訳された日本語版はさながら
上質な海外小説。ラノベやセリフばかりのアドベンチャーゲームに慣れた人には
ちょっと読み進めるのが億劫かもしれない。が、文章を読むのが苦でない人には
断然おすすめできる一作。なんにしろセンテンスがおしゃれ。いちいち言葉が
かっこいい。壮大なスペースオペラ、サイバーパンクな要素の中に、
ひりつく緊張感も、心揺さぶる感動もきちんとある。

時折同じ文章が２ページ続いたり、達成してないのにイベントが進んだり、
エンディングらしからぬ場所でスタッフロールが流れたり…といった、
ほんの少し「？」と思う所はある。あと欲を言えば、SF用語やこの作品ならではの
専門用語がとにかく多いので、「用語集」や「人物紹介」などのデータベースを
ゲーム画面から確認出来るような機能があればもっと作品に没入出来たかも。

それでも本当にこの上質な文章の虜になりました。ノベルゲーでまる一日
時間溶かしたのは初めてでした。

比較少玩呢類題材嘅互動小說，不過第一次玩這款遊戲嘅時候，還是令我特別想繼續玩落去，好快就玩咗差唔多12個鐘，體驗咗幾個結局，喺最後嘅關頭選擇咗離開及留下，兩段結局都唔錯，一個就係跟隨索爾離開，一個就係跟隨皮克留下作最後的堅持，盡量就玩到最後，前面好多可以離開的機會都係選擇唔走，因為可以做多啲成就，不過呢款遊戲都幾大驚喜，好少可會一玩玩10幾個鐘，然後啱啱買咗最新上架的下一集遊戲，期待能夠令我多啲驚喜無論係角色嘅刻劃，又或者劇情嘅塑造，都做得比較好，可以稱得上係比較經典嘅作品，

10/10 This is a game that has a great story, some cool time mechanics, and solid decision paths for the main and side stories (and i especially like the dlc). This is a great pick up for a rainy day or just to mix between some longer winded games for some nice light sessions though the story with its themes do get pretty heavy at times.

I especially liked it for its theme and art style reminding me of a cowboy bebop style space vibe, and I will be playing the second game next.

As a fan of narrative driven games, this one caught my eye.

I'm currently downloading a F2P game rn, based on all the negative reviews, I just want to see how bad this game i'm about to play really is, cause i'm bored, it's a sunday and I've drank far too much fizzy wine.

Anyway, onto citizen sleeper.......and i'm hooked, it's like reading a sci-fi book, but you're the MC in the story and you get to chose what you do.

But you have to be smart and spend your resources wisely.

Very narrative driven RPG, not for everyone but I love a good story.

初见很令人惊艳的太空歌剧背景下的反乌托邦赛博朋克风格的”极乐迪斯科“ 之所以加引号是因为其实本作和极乐迪斯科的玩法和内涵都有一些不同玩法方面而言以个人所玩过的游戏相对比其实本作更类似于灵魂摆渡人在有限的行动点数下寻求任务完成的最优选择内涵上本作虽然选择形式类似极乐迪斯科但是整体的氛围相较极乐迪斯科而言心理描写更少窒息感更轻所以并不算其严格意义上的代餐极乐迪斯科还是太特殊了不过本作也绝对算得上是佳作值得好评

Ich mochte wirklich das Spiel mögen aber es ist extrem viel Text zu lesen und somit recht wenig Interaktion pro Minute. Dazu ist es anfänglich sehr verwirrend. Die Deutsche Fan-Übersetzung ist gut und hilft zumindest etwas das Spiel zu mögen aber sie ist fern von perfekt und hat es für mich nicht geschafft, mich länger mit dem Spiel auseinader zu setzen. Citizen Sleeper 2 direkt von der Wishlist gelöscht. Ebenfalls kein Deutscher Support.
