Amazing getting to play this awesome game from my childhood. I remember struggling so much and I could never get to the Sun but now my gaming skill must have increased tenfold because I beat it first try.
Chicken Invaders 2 is the perfect little game to play solo or co-op.
Also despite it not saying in the system reqs it actually works on mac (64 bit)

This one was always one of my favorites as a kid! Episode 2 adds a bunch of new features, enhancing this nostalgic little title to its absolute limits. A strong shmup and an easy recommend for any fan of the series.

Ah yes, The second part of the infamous chicken huntging saga. Well, it was short and fun, fairly easy and straight forward should you want to go acheivement hunting. Recommended
Au début je trouvais le jeu marrant, le bruit des poulets me faisait rire et puis plus les niveaux avançaient et plus c'était répétitif.
Des fois la difficulté est mal gérée, tu passe d'un niveau facile à un niveau ultra dur avec aucun moyen de récupérer des vies.
C'est d'autant plus chiant quand tu doit te retaper les 10 niveaux précédents pour rien, mais le pire c'est vraiment le boss final du jeu qui est quasi IMPOSSIBLE, j'ai essayé pendent plus d'une heure et c'est n'importe quoi, je rageais à fond alors que j'ai réussi tout les autres niveaux pourtant, j'ai carrément du me give les succès.
J'voulais mettre une note positive au départ en me disant que c'est un p'tit jeu fun pour passer le temps, mais au final c'est à chier quand t'arrives vers la fin.

Pra mim o menos marcante dos Chicken Invaders. Lógico que comparando com o antecessor, existe uma evolução clara, tendo mais armas e uma movimentação melhor do personagem, além de introduzir um "modo campanha", diferente do antecessor que era infinito.
Independente disso, ainda acho bem válido se a ideia for jogar sequencialmente os jogos ou conhecer tudo de uma forma completa.
Por algum motivo, em 2025 a InterAction Studios resolveu atualizar os chicken invaders clássicos, dando uma sobrevida e deixando eles mais interessantes, com recursos que antes estavam presentes só nas versões mais atuais (aquecimento da arma, maior número de armas, melhorias visuais e experiência como um todo.
Acho que perdeu um pouco a cara do jogo de 2002 (pelo bem e pelo mal), dando a sensação de que é um mod de alguma outra versão mais atual, mas felizmente é possível jogar o clássico ou o remaster ao abrir o jogo.
Como eu prefiro a versão original, vou me atentar a ele nos detalhes a seguir.:
O jogo possui 110 níveis (não únicos, longe disso), 3 armas diferentes, 3 estilos de bosses sendo que eles podem aparecer em maior quantidade conforme avança.
Os níveis são divididos em áreas, cada uma com 10 níveis, sendo eles planetas do sistema solar (lembrando que Plutão era considerado planeta em 2002), uma área de meteoros e o próprio sol.
As armas começam mesmo a ser diferentes a partir de upgrades (que é somente a quantidade de balas/dano causado) e final das contas a arma básica ajuda demais. Infelizmente é fácil spammar balas clicando com o mouse ou espaço, fazendo com que fique bem mais fácil.

The Chicken Invaders series has been a core part of my childhood. While I have no memory of the first game I can confidently say that this is the worst game in the series I remember playing.
The graphics are weird but not horrible, especially for the time this game initially released. But the flaws of it's age show in the gameplay. The interactions with the edge of the screen are janky at best and the waves quickly become repetitive.

A definitive improvement over the first game in almost every aspect.
Gameplay has been improved, soundtrack got better but it's still ONE song for each level, weapons variety is a little better, and can be even better when choosing to include the weapons that were introduced in the later games. The options you can edit here to craft the perfect experience for you is nothing short of amazing.
I've had a lot more fun with this one than the previous game. Very recommended.

Simple and classic Shmup from my childhood, The franchise is keeping the Invaders name alive.
This purchase includes both the classic game, which is short and lacking in content but charming and fun, specially excellent in the sound design and music department, and a remastered version which adds a heap of new content and modifiers and adds a lot of replay-ability and hardcore challenges, plus content from the games later in the series ret-conned into the original games, such as weapons and abilities and whatnot.
More than worth it if you want something casual to chill with for a bit and unwind or if you are into very very hard shmups, the game gives you the choice.

For the best experience make sure to start "EPISODE 2" which is remaster that contains story from Chicken Invaders 2 plus tons of new weapons, challenges with improved controls and visuals. Can be played coop. Plenty of chickens are about to get fried. Overall great shoot'em up to have a blast.

Much easier and a lot more varied in terms of content than its predecessor. It's much more fun and satisfying as well. The game ends after 110 waves and isn't infinite. Other than that, it's the same as Chicken Invaders 1. Great game!

Dentro de la saga del juego, creo que es muy simple incluso si lo comparamos con la entrega anterior, lo bueno del juego es que quita desde el inicio la mecánica de sobrecalentamiento del arma además de poner variedad de 3 armas que se rotan conforme el rng que sueltan los pollos, y como último punto, es que da los saltos de nivel con una animación del planeta al que te diriges. Pero no te da una sensación de querer volver a repetir la aventura por la falta de incentivación como lo fueron las medallas y trofeos al final de la aventura. Un buen motivo para querer comprar este juego es que venga en el paquete de todos los demás juegos o por nostalgia.

Неоднозначная игра, которую я могу рекомендовать только поклонникам серии Chicken Invaders. Конечно, мне было интересно узнать, как же выглядели одни из первых игр этой серии, и насколько сильно серия изменилась, если сравнивать, к примеру, 2 часть с 4 или с 5. Изменения, как в графическом плане, так и в плане вариативности геймплея, разительные. Графика 4 и 5 частей Chicken Invaders изменилась колоссально. Более поздние версии стали больше напоминать компьютерную игру, нежели мобильную. Да и разнообразие в 4 и 5 частях, в разы превышают разнообразие второй. Это особенно уместно, учитывая, что 4 часть я критиковал за слишком частое повторение, как боссов, так и волн противников. По сравнению с 2 частью, 4 часть выглядит как эталон разнообразия. Впрочем, нельзя конечно сравнивать вторую и четвёртую часть серии. Вторая часть была пробой пера, простенькой аркадой с минимальным разнообразием и диким дисбалансом. Я это всё к тому, что привыкнув к 4 и 5 частям, не каждый игрок сумеет быстро перестроиться, приноровится ко второй части. Правда, и это большой плюс и одна из главных причин, почему я всё же поставил положительную оценку второй части Chicken Invaders, у нас всё же имеется выбор – запустить классическую вторую часть Chicken Invaders или осовремененную. Во втором случаи сложность уменьшена, графика доведена до уровня 4 и 5 части и большая часть уровней была переработана. К примеру, так бесивший меня уровень, связанный с метеоритами, в переработанной версии, перестал быть таким хардкорным, когда для его прохождения нужно обязательно иметь максимально прокаченное вооружение чтобы уметь быстро уничтожать астероиды (уворачиваться практически всегда не вариант, ибо почти всегда они летят слишком плотно, чтобы можно было найти пространство для манёвра). Так вот, в модернизированной версии скорость астероидов существенно снижена, зато сложность обычной волны, в которой появляется один астероид, который по мере разрушения начинает делиться на части, заметно увеличена. Что касается босса, то теперь он немного проще проходится, хотя быстрая его атака, на предпоследней стадии, всё так же опасна. В общем, в отличие от многих игроков которым не понравилось такое нововведения, я наоборот остался им очень доволен и только благодаря этому обновлению второй части я ставлю игре положительную оценку.
Что касается классической версии Chicken Invaders 2, то она заметно устарела, слишком однообразная, включая как волны противников, так и боссов и очень и очень короткая. Игра проходится где-то за 30 минут, прям как будто перед нами бесплатная игра или Пролог. Как я понимаю, большинство положительных оценок связана не с увлекательностью второй части Chicken Invaders, а с тем, что игроки играли в эту игру в своём далёком детстве. Однако лично я играю в эту серию впервые, поэтому у меня никакой ностальгии ни по первым частям, ни тем более по последним у меня нет. Я оцениваю игру исключительно с позиции интересно/не интересно и актуально для сегодняшнего дня или не актуально. Да, сегодня, не хардкорных игр данного жанра, имеется совсем не много, и поэтому нужно учитывать, что игра всё же не такая и сложная, как могла бы быть или как обычно бывают игры данного жанра. Тем не менее, однообразие…оно утомляет. К тому же, у нас имеется теперь бесплатная версия - Chicken Invaders Universe. Так какой смысл во второй Chicken Invaders, если не брать в расчёт чувства ностальгии? Вот-вот, поэтому вторая часть на любителя или для тех, кто хочет поностальгировать. Объективно говоря, вторая часть получилась слишком однообразной, местами «душной», не сбалансированной и короткой. Впрочем, последний пункт, возможно, в контексте всего вышесказанного является даже плюсом.

There's nothing major about this game; you shoot chickens and avoid obstacles that will kill your spaceship. It's pretty much a Space Invaders clone but funnier (and has a story)
This game isn't difficult, but it could take a long time to complete the game on Veteran due to how much health the enemies have (and don't get me started on the new difficulties on the episode)
I can recommend this game. Get the Christmas DLC too if you can.

I`m only kidding, this is a space invaders close that includes the original game and the remaster as well, with new modes and features.
Controls are simply enough, move in any direction while shooting your weapons at the flying chickens, collect the power ups, new weapons and food to earn rockets to fire.
I personally preferred the game-pad but if you don't have one (or want to use it) you can use mouse and keyboard.
Levels are either shooting the enemy or dodging and destroying asteroids, after this comes a boss fight, complete this and you fly to a different planet.
Difficulty seemed fair and the only time I really died was not dodging the chicken eggs (which instantly destroy your ship)
Boss fights are silly and fun, you fight a massive version of a chicken and sometimes more then one, I found them fairly comfortable but they do get harder as you progress.
The game has some ship customisation for those who want to create their own ship design.
Graphics are simple, bright and colourful, the small amount of animations are simple enough, the remaster (Episode 2) looks slightly better but has more features, including an endless mode.
Sound and music are pretty standard with various weapon effects, explosions and chicken clucks.
Some maybe put of by the repetitive nature of the game, but those who love an old retro style shoot em up, especially fans of space invaders will definitely enjoy this!
Great value for money and if you want more there are lots of sequels!

The New "Episode" Update feels like a REMAKE, as we can now use weapons from Revenge of the Yolk, Ultimate Omelette, and Cluck of the Dark Side, as well as new Fire Boost, which speeds up the firing power, making all of us SPEEDRUNNERS

Un juego muy sencillo pero muy entretenido, y podria decirte que juegues a los nuevos pero tienes el juego viejo y digamos que gracias al DLC tienes un juego totalmente renovado

The most recent update adds several new features while also arguably making it a worse update. The previously free option to turn on the classic music is behind a 50 key grindwall, and you can't disable several features to play with classic settings without grinding even more keys. Buy the game, by all means. Just stick to the classic version, the update is a downgrade.

Lo jugaba cuando tenía como 10 años, y era de los favoritos de mi mamá de todos esos de los pollos que habia o luego fueron sacando. Todavia a veces se acuerda ella de esta joya. A parte tan bien chistosos los pollos esos 🐔🚀🍗
