Особенность в том, что у тебя нет обычного оружия — только магия. Но зато её можно комбинировать: один выстрел замораживает врага, второй — взрывает его. Один — создаёт щит, другой — отталкивает всех вокруг. И если правильно собрать связку, то чувствуешь себя не волшебником, а богом разрушения.
Уровни короткие, но плотные. Каждый — как трек в ритм-игре: надо знать, когда прыгать, когда стрелять, когда использовать уклонение. Ошибся — и тебя убивают за секунду. Но перезапуск мгновенный, так что злишься недолго.
Графика простая, почти пиксельная, но со вкусом: всё светится, искрит, взрывается красиво. Анимации резкие, движения — рваные, но именно это придаёт игре тот самый «адреналиновый» стиль.
Есть режимы на время, на выживание, даже генератор уровней. Но самое приятное — просто бежать вперёд, не думая, стреляя заклинаниями направо и налево, пока мир не превратится в кучу пикселей и огня.
Понравилась? Ещё как. Это не игра для медитации — это катарсис через скорость и магию. Если хочешь почувствовать себя волшебником-рок-звездой, который решает все проблемы огнём и льдом — вперёд.

Granted steam only shows 1.2 hours, however played this offline during 2024 during the early part of the year on my spare time, EXTREMELY enjoyable and fun, engaging, and fast pace megaman legends-esk game play\ sonic depending on your upgrades\ play style. I really encourage to give this a try - two dollars is Easy for the amount of enjoyment you get.
Feels low-budget, but I had a surprising amount of fun with this one. The first few levels are a bit of a drag, but once you start getting some upgrades the game really picks up. Zipping around is fun, and there are some big enemies to take down.
Definitely worth the price of admission if you're a fan of weird indie titles.

An interesting piece which is like a mixture of Sonic and Mega Man. It feels and looks like a PS2 game right when more advanced physics engines began to emerge. It is pretty fun in short bursts but isn't going to be for every one.

An experimental Game. The usual It´s the first real game i programmed quality. Hand drawn Graphics, simple 3D models.
You are on a planet doing environmental terraforming work. Collect Energy Balls, Heal Trees, Fight bugs. Also you get a gun which can make the game field either grow or reduce the field. This is used to solve some puzzles. It´s an action orintated mini game.
This is a game that actually makes fun. Well done, ongoing programmer. I recommend it.

Surprised I never wrote a review for this game. This game is older than the internet! I swear I supported this game and it's dev for YEARS! and Elecorn was always such a G to me because, before Steam was ever a thing in my life, I bought this game from them on their site and they'd ALWAYS send me a link to the game to redownload it for free whenever I emailed them about it. I see this game on Steam and I am reminded of the good times, and I hope Elecorn is happy and healthy in life. This game may not be for everyone now, but back when it first came out, I was really impressed by it and I still enjoy it whenever I play it.

Of all the ♥♥♥♥ games i have played thourghtout my lifespan, this is honestly one of the best ones i have ever played. I wish i had lost my memory so i can relive all the great moments while learning this game... Altought the experience was fantastic, it only took like 3 minutes to understand the whole concept of the game and 40 minutes later the game was finished. It was a fast but great experience, and I recommend y'all to play this game at least one time in your lifes!

Купил в далёком 2015-м году на распродаже за 3 рубля, запустил в декабре 2023-го, получил карточек на 12 рублей. Школа правильных инвестиций в деле.
Касательно игры могу сказать следующее – это любопытно выглядящая инди, которая более-менее спокойно запустилась бы на древнючем ноуте 2003 года с "Целероном" на МП. Умещаясь в 40 Мб места на диске, игра имеет нормальные ключевые механики, из которых можно собрать что-то увлекательное. Собственно, это, скорее, не игра, а прототип игры, собранный в рамках какого-нибудь 72-часового джема (и я, наверное, не ошибусь). Для полноценной игры здесь слишком мало контента - первая глава (из двух) проходится за час-полтора, а игровые уровни, откровенно говоря, совершенно пусты.
Купить стоит ради карточек, да и ради того, чтобы взглянуть на изобретательность геймдизайнера, собравшего это на скромной базе.
This is just a funny shovelware game. It is fun to mess around with the mechanics and physics of the game. Not something to expect a lot from. Good speed game though.

I read some reviews, expected nothing but a trash game. Well, it kinda is! But it is also kinda funny for an hour or two. Speeding around and buying some upgrades is nice.
That being said, while it was fun for 2h, I cant recommend this game to anyone. If you want to spend 2h on this game, sure. But I would not do it again...

I neither liked it nor disliked it. If you get it in some sale it's worth those couple of cents.
It's short (some might say unfinished) but to the point. Shooting and running feels good, but would get old if I had to play it for more then 4 hours. It's has that janky PS1 - PS2 look to it.
Зашел свернуть игру и выбить карточки, в итоге залип на полтора часа, и почти прошел все миссии. Прикольная игра в стиле игр с PS1 с интересной физикой, приятное музыкальное сопровождение, но достаточно легкая и однообразная.

Caster is a fun game which involves a combination of terraforming and shooting bugs. There a couple tricky spots, but for the most part it's straightforward. I have beaten the game in Casual difficulty, but mostly the level scaling only changes how health and damage work, not so much the gameplay itself.
Pros:
- Solid gameplay design. The controls and mechanics are well thought, though there are a couple mechanics I was able to play without. May be the difficulty, but you can judge.
- Music was decent.
- I especially liked the story. The early part was a bit slow, but the later buildup was interesting.
Cons:
- The sensitivity is pretty low for mouse and keyboard, but that can be solved by turning it up.
- Camera angles are occasionally a pain, especially on steep inclines.
- The game ends with a massive cliffhanger. What looks like the final level of the segment just says "To be continued..." This was the biggest part that soured my experience, but not enough to not recommend the game.

Ein einfach zu verstehender Third-Person Shooter leider nur 15 Missionen, insgesamt kurze Spieldauer. also für wenig Geld ok aber mehr als die meisten hier 0,14 Cent oder 0,50 Cent hätte ich auch nur ausgegeben dafür!
Brought this for 14 cents back in 2015 and having only given it a proper just recently, with that said Caster is a mess but one that with more of a budget and dev time on the whole game you could have a seriously fast pace and fun 3rd person shooter here, but as it is it's a neat 2 hour at most game that just leaves me wanting more games like this.

I've been playing this since way before it was on Steam and surprisingly it's still fun. I noticed if I play at a resolution higher than 1080p it breaks the water reflection fx though, be warned. It's a super addictive game and really needs a sequel with better gfx.
Un jueguecito corto pero simpático.
Visualmente es muy primitivo, pero hasta cierto punto tiene su razón de ser: el juego cuenta con una mecánica de modificación del terreno.
Sorprendente para un juego de estas características, es un sistema que le añade ese extra que lo hace interesante. No os va a volar la mente, pero es curioso cuanto menos.
En un par de horas lo tenéis despachado, y es una experiencia entretenida, sobretodo porque cuando subes de nivel tus habilidades a nivel máximo, todo se vuelve bastante loco.
¿Mi consejo? Subid al máximo el Dash desde el primer momento, luego el arma azul y en cuanto podáis el arma verde, que no solo baja el terreno sino que hace muchísimo daño de área. El Dash a nivel máximo es bastante locura y hace el juego mucho más divertido.
Por lo demás, el juego es tan primitivo y simple en su apartado gráfico como en el resto de apartados: de arte, de sonido, de música, de historia.
Pero por un par de céntimos os echáis un rato graciosete.
A very conditional thumbs up for this unfinished glorified demo I probably got in some bundle once up on a time if:
1) you would like a relatively wholesome game to keep a 5-8 year old kid busy for a weekend.
2) you have a thing for the fugly Dreamcast era Sonic game aesthetic.
3) you get this on sale for $1.
4) you'll be satisfied with about 4 hours of game play.
This base mechanic is actually fun to play, and I would have finished the game if it hadn't been for the infuriating Acid Meadow level. In that, you've got to use your terraforming weapon to make a lava bridge like an escort mission and here is where the imprecision and jankiness that could be endearing elsewhere became frustrating. Seriously, screw that level. But by that time I'd gotten a good 2 hours of fun out of it, so I didn't mind throwing in the towel there.
✅✅Caster is a third-person shooter that has some kind of plot, but it's really rudimentary - we're sent to clear certain areas, and basically we do the same thing anyway, kill aliens, collect bullets and improve everything.

Albeit some nostalgia is there to it, as [b]Caster[/b] reminds me of some of my childhood games - even though I haven't played this one back then -, for its low price it is [i]a surprisingly fun and engaging[/i], although [u]short and unfinished[/u], however [i]greatly daring and a unique experience[/i] that I really wish was updated and added to some long while ago as it could've been something even more extraordinary.
Still, I think it's a really fun time for its short duration, and even more so if you wanna try another run either on a higher difficulty or with different strategies regarding your credit-distribution in the shop and combat approach.

A great game! One of the first games I ever bought on Steam. Great soundtrack! There aren't many games like it, and I still hope to see a sequel one day. Or even a remaster!
Злые монстры уничтожают все живое и только вы можете спасти это мир. Вся игра построена на однотипных заданиях, типа "Убейте толпу червяков", "Вылечите все деревья в округе" или просто "Дойдите до точки" Сам персонаж имеет супер способности:Ускорение, большой прыжок и 6 пушек, которые открываются при прохождении квестов, если их конечно можно так назвать.
Вы бегаете человечком, который может стрелять из своей руки, ваше враги-улитки, текстуры сплошная гадость, даже брату не хочется давать играть в это "произведение искусства". Вообщем, игра не стоит своих денег, даже 5-ти рублей, не покупайте!
Кто-то покупал эту игру ради того чтобы поднять денег с карточек. Кто-то покупал ради коллекции. А кто-то просмотрел свою библиотеку Steam и не понял от куда она взялась.
Я как раз из тех, кто не понял от куда она взялась, и решил ее запустить. "Игра прикольная рекомендую, но играть в нее снова я отказываюсь."

It was ok...
I think this game is very good and you should play it.
Caster was 10 years outdated when it was released. It's a baffling game with an unclear setting and impenetrable story. It looks and sounds like a mid-90's techno music visualizer. But Caster FEELS fantastic. You upgrade your character from Balanced to Broken and the difference is amazing. You go from struggling to fight a small worm to moving mountains as a basic attack. Proof that games don't need state-of-the-art features to be fun, just good design and a bit of love.
I did a lot of bug testing with this in the early stages.
Anyway......
It's fun until you finish it.
