This is yet another abandoned game which I have grown to love and will play for a long time. A lot of nice people who have written reviews for this game do not understand it. This has taught me not to take Steam reviews at face value. This game also has taught me that there are actually beaches in Dallas, TX USA.

Roguelike FPS where you raid facilities for precious loot. Maps are random generated and you can pick your next scavenge mission on the map. Each stage contains of multiple floors in which you gonna face different robots, drones, turrets etc. Between missions you can upgrade your hideout for extra bonuses like increased damage with specific type of weapon or heal your punks. Pickups disappear quickly so grab them while you can. One main con though, when you run out of ammo you're f***** so make sure to ALWAYS pick up that ammo! Controls are ok, you can use different weapons which usually are split between accuracy or damage. With each run you can buy new rooms and unlockables using tech. Visuals are pixelated mambo jambo, nothing too complex. Music is ok and sets atmosphere just right. Overall good FPS game with RNG.

No, too shallow, too low effort, genuinely uncomfortable to play. It feels like something made in a week, it probably was.
Meh. It’s worth a shot on a good sale. Gameplay is mid tiar fun, but story and progression is kinda meh. The visuals are interesting, and I feel like the game has a ton of potential, but I think the devs are done with it.
Recommend but again only on a good sale.

When selling items in the in-game store, there is no differentiation between loose items in your inventory and equipped items you wish to keep.
You can shoot your weapons before the load screen disappears. If you have a rocket launcher equipped, this means your health goes down or you die.
Feels half baked/light on content.
Movement is fast but floaty.
The Ugly:
Pixel graphics on the 2d portion of the game are ugly.
Start screen has ugly graphics that don't match the rest of the look.
Tremendously overpriced for a bargain bin feeling game.
Just play quake 2 or something.
5 minutes, that's a record.
Everything just feels... wrong. The controls are floaty, and the rooms are too small for the doom-like movement speed. The UI's pixel size seems all over the place, and is most definitely not pixel perfect. Clicking the mouse button to start the game also shoots your gun, before you even see it. There's this... noisiness to the way it looks, but it also feels barebones.
The fact that the mainstream gaming media reviewed this game positively is baffling to me. I'm most definitely [b]not[/b] one of these people that believe game journalists are the worst thing to come to humanity - but come on.
And no, I don't think I'm being unfair. If the simple things feel so wrong, and the initial gameplay was unpleasant enough for me to stop playing after just 5 minutes, then I don't think the rest of the game is going to be any different.
Its pretty fun.
Fast paced doom-rogue-lite set in post-Covid corporate dystopia
Even if the premise is a bit lame, the game itself is quite cool, feels more fresh than your average boomer shooter

Bunker Punks is a generic rogue-lite loot runner shooter where you play a punk ransacking a corporate millionaire's vault for all their worth before escaping. The simple design, bland enemies, and rooms, make for a dull game indeed. Few slots to carry things, and even fewer things of value to steal, will have you wondering why you are doing this in record time. But you press on, hoping for some variety, or story or something to reward your progress, but it's slim pickings. Unless you are obsessed with shooting drones and turrets. And that's just it, the game rewards run and gun gameplay, with it's clear times and fading loot drops, but the game gives you pint-sized enemies with fast volleys to punish you harshly if you aren't in cover cheesing the AI. Speaking of, I'm normally a very hardy person when it comes to motion sickness in FPS's, but this one in particular has turned my stomach and given me headaches.
Play Void Bastards instead, it is superior to this knockoff in every way. Hell, Wasted is even better.
Not a fan of roguelikes that don't do more than [i]just[/i] focus on being roguelikes with nothing special added in- Bunker Punks hasn't given me the impression that it will do anything more than just fit into a genre because of... reasons.
It feels clunky, samey, and some of the weapons border on nigh useless. Great music, OK art style, snoozeworthy gameplay and supremely uninspired enemies.
Not for me and I wouldn't recommend it but if you like to sweat and enjoy roguelikes it may be for you.
Nice attempt at an oldschool shooter, but sadly it lacks polish, quite a lot. I would recommend against playing, I merely did so to finish the achievements.
Im on a quest of at least trying every game in my library, of which I got plenty from all kinds of cheap mass-bundles, others I bought directly, yet others from sites like nivqgames. Feels very barebones. Ive seen 6 maps so far, it has the same 4 items and 4 weapons. The rooms look the same. There are much better roguelike fps games out there with 100x better gunplay and movement.

A cool concept, but poor execution.
You are supposed to manage a kind of fallout shelter and go on raiding corporate bunkers in an FPS fashion.
But it all seems primitive.
The visuals, the base management, the area progression, the levels, the combat, the feel of weapons, inventory management, story/premise.
I dont feel any depth or refinement anywhere.
I went through several bases and I dont see anything that motivates me to keep going. Not the gameplay, not the story, not progression system, not the art style. I know havent played that much, but based on the reviews and how its going I doubt that anything is going to come up that will change my perceptions in any significant ways.
Its unfortunate, but it all feels incredibly bland.

Does not allow you to modify aim sensitivity. The majority of the difficulty was aiming a cursor that moves at an odd speed. That, and the bunker system is designed to make you fail in order to upgrade it....which is dumb.

Terrible game full of cheapness and design flaws.
Plays on Steam Deck, but definitely not optimized or ideal. Don't even try to use the touchpads. It all feels clunky...

Weapons, characters, upgrades... it's all the same and nothing makes a difference. Don't even waste your time with these! It's all for nothing!
Just grab two bazookas and sprint to the finish to kill the boss and enter the elevator. No point in trying to explore, since you only lose health and bullets.
And get ready for cheapness. Lots of it!! Even on easy!! Going slowly and carefully only gives the game time to load more cheap tactics on you. Enemies will swarm with boss to kill you, mine enemies will block entire sections which will kill you instantly, start the level with two assault rifles shooting frenetically at you. Thought about some cheap tactic an FPS game has thrown at you? You name it, it's all here!
The overall idea was good and the graphics are good, but the devs are way too lazy... you want to know what happens when you get to the end? It's a static "thank you" image... not even a story text... LAZY!

Great little pseudo-raycast roguelite FPS. Fast-paced boomer shooter that has a strangely Descent 2 feel, with the hordes of robotic enemies "calling out" when they've got a bead on you as thumping industrial metal serenades your progress, just like in the Redbook soundtrack days. Challenging enough to be rewarding, easy enough to just pick up and play whenever you've got half an hour to spare and don't want to think too much. FFO Dark Forces, Duke3D, Wolfenstein, or anyone who wants a cheap thrill that's light on frills.
$15 is a steep ask so buy it on sale.
Bunker Punks is a great game to get on a deal. It's a trimmed down shooter without a lot of the fluff from modern shooters, but that works incredibly well. You get weapon variety with pistol, shotgun, rifle and bazooka, and you're incentivized to take risks and jump straight into the action to get combos, which yield ammo, health and loot. All enemies shoot projectiles or melee (no hitscan) so circle strafing is usually a viable defensive strategy. Aiming is good, most weapons have a ranged dropoff that forces you to get close to enemies in order to be effective, and that's kind of it. The soundtrack is a banger, and the graphics are good looking and serviceable.
That said, it's only worth to get on a deal because the basic gameplay loop is very limited. Levels are monotonous because they kind of reuse the same general look and feel (Executive floors look different, but play the same). There's some RNG involved in setting up a level, but it's nothing groundbreaking. You can customize your build, but most of the powerups are locked on your first playthroughs - I've finished the game twice and still only unlocked 19 of the 50 powerup unlockables. Characters are not balanced, with the shotgun guy overpowering the others. Base building is honestly just a distraction that adds little to the game. Shopping is as basic as accessing two weapons (usually the same ones you get on a level) and a clinic, so it's a very barebones add-on. I feel the game tried to use roguelike elements to add replayability without understanding properly what makes a good roguelike such as Slay the Spire work.
Get it on sale, play it for a while every now and then, and be happy.
Its overall okay. Roguelite FPS with Fallout Vault Dweller base managment in a post-ap cypberpunk setting. However the camera shaking camera bobbing (okay you can turn it off, but still) and claustrophobic levels annoy me. It plays like an okay Doom mod. Also they expect you to play it again and again to get more stuff etc, typical roguelite stuff.
Its not for me, but there are people that would like this.
This game is very fun for doom-clone fans and for rogue-like fans. You play Doom style PvE levels, using shotguns, rocket launchers, pistols, etc. All while upgrading your player the "Punks", which each give you different bonuses and abilities. It's very fast paced and you can either rush straight to the boss and finish each level extremely fast, or you can take you time and patiently loot each level thoroughly. Progression can be super fast or super slow, depending on your playstyle. You can buy new armor and weapons, as well as collecting them in the levels. Highly recommended to get on sale, but if you want to support the developer, paying full price shouldn't be disappointing.

Solid indie rogue-like fps game.
This is a fast paced FPS with rogue elements. I completed the game on easy.
Cons:
- The graphics, characters, and enemies are very bland. This is on Noah's Ark level of graphics. All enemies are robots and they're all pretty basic. The maps look all identical. The characters are not interesting at all. Having a diverse cast doesn't make the characters interesting.
- The maps and enemies are too small and annoying. The rooms are really small for the amount of enemies and you get stuck a lot because of the size of the maps. The dogs in particular may be big, but they also take too much energy and have a big range.
- You run out of ammo all the time. Don't start on normal, it's not worth it. You will only really run out of ammo very fast. If you run out of ammo you don't have any options other than restarting the level. Win on easy and maybe then on normal.
- Has one of the greatest sins of video games, petty on you when you lose. You also get rewarded for winning, but it's a terrible system. Basically you get more if you play more. It's not rewarding it all.
- Only a few weapons, and they're uninteresting. You start with a pistol, shotgun, and you may get a riffle and rocket launcher fairly easy, but they're all pretty basic. You do get more weapons as you win/lose but they're still too basic.
- The sound effects are too generic. Doom and Quake have excellent sound effects and should have been a reference to this game.
- Has another sin of games, you have to wait for the credits.
Pros:
- It's good old fashion fast paced FPS. I prefer this style to modern FPS.
- The music is pretty good.
My suggestion to the developers, you need a lot more variation of enemies, maps, and weapons, and make more interesting characters. Ditch the petty system, that's a big sin. Make upgrades more valuable because they feel pointless right now. What you have right now is a decent engine, good soundtrack, but everything else is a mess.
I can't recommend this game because it has too many flaws.

[i] [h1] Homme ours porc[/h1][/i]Après un excellent The Pedestrian pris pour sa promesse (tenue), Bunker Punks m'avait également séduit par sa promesse mélangeant un FPS au style rétro, rogue like et également gestion de bunker.
Pris séparément, ces styles sont bien évidement capable du meilleur ; Ion Fury, Hammerwatch et Fallout Shelter en sont de très bons exemples.
Et par ailleurs, les jeux de gestion de bunker sont parfois un peu "impersonnels" de par le point de vue un poil extérieur du joueur.
Bref, une promesse intéressante.
Dans les faits, le jeu se décompose ainsi :
Vous récupérez un personnage avec diverses caractéristiques.
Vous nettoyez un bâtiment comportant plusieurs niveaux. Littéralement puisque chaque niveau est un étage du bâtiment.
On récupère à l'occasion un peu d'équipement, des armes, de l'argent et des crédits (ne connaissant pas le nom, on les appellera ainsi).
Une fois le bâtiment nettoyé, retour au bunker pour aménager votre bunker afin d'obtenir certaines améliorations (santé, armes, équipements...), et acheter de nouvelles armes ou se soigner ; le tout avec l'argent collecté.
Ensuite, une petite carte vous permet d'effectuer des raids sur de nouveaux bâtiments, gérés de manière procédurale, etc.
A noter que vos équipements et niveau de vie sont sauvegardés. Ce qui signifie que votre vie ne remonte jamais, hormis à ramasser des items en cours de partie, ou payer pour se soigner. Et ce qui constitue une des composantes du côté rogue-like.
Qui dit rogue-like dit forcément à terme la mort et une remise à zéro, mais une occasion pour dépenser les fameux crédits dans des améliorations permanentes et également étoffer son équipe en recrutant d'autres personnages.
Ces personnages représentant vos "vies" dans votre run, si l'un meurt, vous pouvez poursuivre avec les autres.
Maintenant que le principe est décrit, est-ce que la formule prend ?
La réponse est "pas vraiment " :[list][*]L'aspect FPS étant assez moyen sans sensations, et avec des décors somme toute très similaires malgré l'aspect procédural, des ennemis robotiques pas foufous...

This is one of those games that I wish there was a "Maybe" recommendation. This game is certainly not for everyone. It is a rouge-like, meaning it randomly generates each time you play. That may sound great, but unfortunately it also means that there is a lot of copy and pasting by the computer, with everything looking the same. The configuration changes, but it's still just the same map, with the wall over here, rather than over there. This time it may be a long stretch of a hallway and next a 90 degree turn and the same for enemies and furniture.
It is also built around giving the player as much grief as possible. It is not about being good, it is about dying, repeatedly and getting just enough tech to afford to buy another upgrade to get just a little bit further and keep you interested on what can be found next. It's simply the nature of the beast. I was ready to come on here and give it a thumbs down, but at the end saw some new tech I could purchase and was like "Hmm... how far can I get this time..." And that's the thing. It will infuriate you to no end, but keep sprinkling crack on the ground for you to keep coming back for more.
So it is both a blessing and a curse. What you should be able to do from the onset, like simply heal at the bunker on your own, at least between rounds, you can not really do until you get the upgrade. You can pay to be healed, but the prices are purposely set so you are paying more than you should for less. Also switching out weapons, you can not do until you get the upgrade.
Silly. I've run out of ammo simply because I was carrying several weapons, but my character could not access the back pack and I did not upgrade my bunker to allow to do a quick switch of "one" extra weapon, because the bunkers start with two and you have to upgrade to more through tech or play throughs.
Then you have to buy the upgrades with money on each new play through from scratch. But there could be several upgrades for each type of bunker like Medical or Shooting Range, but only one or two useful upgrades in each. So I go without the Shooting Range which would allow for the quick switch, because getting a Medical bunker is more important to heal out in the field, as well as getting a Gym to be able to carry more weapons and equipment back to the bunker to sell for a profit because the game... Arrggghhhh!!!!!
It's enemies are also annoying. From time to time they will sneak in from another location. Or the rooms are copy and pasted and constructed in such a way that no matter how you turn, you are going to be shot from either side or both at once. It seems like you should have the advantage and they wont be alerted to your presence until seen, but many a time I have rounded a corner and was instantly blasted with no warning of an enemy being there and two were waiting in ambush. You do not start or gain the ability as far as I am aware of to tank hits like that. I have better pistol upgrades and even other weapons in general, but they keep spamming me with the most weakest ones. And the katana is trash, regardless how powerful it is. The game treats it like a knife in distance range and if you are not pinpoint accurate in aiming, you are not hitting anything. Even when you are, you are bound to miss sometimes.
And where are the medkits when I need them? Even after upgrades of better kits that heal more, I am still getting the lowest healing, if any kits showing up at all. Also the exploding enemies seem to spam out of no where. I seemingly cleared a room and BAM surprise attack and lose so much precious health. And you will not gain any items from an enemy that kamikazed you. You could be making a great run and then come upon an ambush and you might as well restart the game to see what new tech you can afford. If an enemy dies and bounces on top of a wall and drops a much needed item, tech or credits, they are out of reach. The music is so distracting as it tries to sound new age or techish, but sounds like the enemies, so you need to turn it off to hear what is actually around you. Music should not do that to the player.
I hope you see the dilemma. At it's heart it is a good game, it just purposely punishes the player. Which some may like, others not so much. So I will put No for now, but may later simply change it to Yes... and then come back and not recommend it again...

El manejo del personaje es lo que hace que no pueda recomendar el juego, no probéis con mando porque simplemente es horroroso el control.
At its core Bunker Punks is a very good Roguelike FPS. Sadly its Achilles heel is a complete dearth of content. There is just barely enough content for one complete run of the game unless you're really into achievement hunting. So only pick it up when it's dirt cheap on sale.

Un shooter rogue-lite que la verdad deja bastante que desear. No es un desastre total, el concepto esta bien y puede ser divertido, pero es muy frustrante debido más a los controles que a las típicas características del género, como la mala suerte o el desequilibrio (que también se dan en este juego).
En cuanto al apartado artístico los gráficos no son muy allá, estilo pixel art manido y no muy bueno, con una paleta de colores bastante aburrida, aunque podría excusarse que es así por la temática del juego de corporativismo frío y colectivista. La música acompaña y es acertada, con ritmos frenéticos y machacones que pueden resultar un poco pesados a la larga, pero que sin duda pegan con el gameplay.
Pero lo que de verdad mata este juego es el gameplay. El movimiento es extraño, difícil de describir, vas rápido pero a la vez no sientes velocidad y parece que vas dando tumbos sin mucho control para esquivar a los enemigos, lo que acentúa el mayor problema para mí, que es el apuntado. No se cual es el problema, pero el ratón no se siente fiable, haciéndote fallar disparos que anteriormente acertabas constantemente (y, como no podía ser de otra manera en este tipo de juegos, en el momento más inoportuno), y además la sensibilidad máxima permitida es irrisoria teniendo en cuenta que es un juego que te empuja a que te metas en medio de todos los enemigos esquivando y cambiando constantemente de objetivo. Y es una pena, por que la parte que no es las secciones de combate no están mal planetadas, con un poco de gestión de construcción de salas en tu bunker y del equipo y salud de tus personajes, aunque de manera muy básica.
En conclusión, un juego mediocre que si te interesan mucho los shooters rogue-lite al estilo Hevy Bullets, Ziggurat o Immortal Redneck, puede estar entretenido, pero no llega ni de lejos a la calidad de éstos. No lo recomiendo a no ser que ya hayas jugados a los referentes del género y quieras algo nuevo y aceptes un bajón de calidad.

Addictive Roguelike Shooter. Fun. Shoot-Shoot. Play. Play.
Ugh. I was really interested in the whole base building with classic doom style gameplay.
It just doesn't feel great to play. The shotgun is only moderately effective and barely shoots out pellets. The rocket launcher? Pretty much the best there is. Just don't kill yourself with it. The Pistol or Magnum? Nonsense. It's like firing a peashooter and often requires sniper rifle like accuracy.
I picked it up on sale and just don't think it will be enjoyable enough to be worth keeping in my library.

A game with great potential but the developers didn't put in the effort to get it there. So as is it's an okay experience that suddenly ends and is bereft of content. Wouldn't recommend it as a result unfortunately.
Really fun at first, but ultimately doesn't feel like there's much to it. Combat and gameplay gets stale fast, and the levels are all very samey. I'm sure this is a product of the random generation, but it totally fails to keep gameplay interesting, and is actually more of a detriment IMO.
If you can get it on sale, get it, but I can't recommend buying at the full price.
The reason the ads all clip off the UI is so that you can't see that none of the gameplay is playable. You'd have to freeze your resources (like health) to get videos like this. If even the devs can't play it, why should you?
It is a demo that charges you for the experience, and has never had the game released. Great demo. Maybe one day they will seed their levels with things and secrets in place of nothing, and let us access more than thirty minutes of game play.

In the game, only one working class is a rocket man, all the others are much worse. Therefore, all the variety of the game does not work. The game also suffers from difficulty for bagels, if it's easy at first, then towards the end 10 large enemies are let loose on you in a small room, and if you are a rocket man, then you have a chance, but the rest have almost none. And after another death, you wonder why I should continue to play this and honestly I do not know, so I do not advise.)

I was looking for something to scratch that itch after I played Doom, and this game delivered well. The 8-bit (16-bit?) art and unique characters make for a fun setting, and it felt very rewarding once I finally cleared the last bunker. Each character has their own unique playstyle consisting of a passive buff, usable power and ultimate power once you fill the power bar to max. You initially don't receive the passive and ultimate power until you've dome some unlocking, so don't get confused when you can't use them at the start of the game. It's a nice mechanic so that you get can familiar with the character playstyles before adding those extra buffs on top. There's also many different types of weapons and armor, so each playthrough you can experiment with different loadouts to match each character's strengths and make up for their weaknesses. The enemies can be tough and even frustrating at first when they keep throwing new types at you, but it's nothing a little skill can't handle ;). I thoroughly enjoyed playing this, the action is very exciting and fast-paced; would recommend to anyone interested in this style of game.
So much fun in this one.

到現在依舊不解介紹影片的那種瘋狂硬扛對轟，可能要打到後期基地建設都完善才行吧...至少我做不到。

It's a rogue-light shooter based on dungeon runs, or in this case bunker runs, where you chose your characer from a roster before each new bunker. You then progress through randomly generated rooms connected by hallways, fighting robotic enemies and finding loot. Your goal is to find your way to an elevator that will take you down to the next floor. Make it through all of the floors in order to return with pockets full of the loot that you've gathered to your home base, where one of the games two currencies can be spent on upgrades, healing and weapons. You then move on to the next bunker along a mostly linear path (think Mario 3's overworld) and do it all over again. Bunkers start out small and fast, with only a couple of floors each and a few easily dispatched enemeis per floor, but get progressively bigger and slower, with more floors and tougher enemies standing in your way. If your punk dies, they stay dead and the level resets. From here you can keep trying with another punk from the roster until you run out of punks to throw at it, at which point the game will be over and you have to start from the beginning, resetting everything except for the unlocks of upgrades (not the upgrades themselves, mind you, they have to be repurchased). You start off with only one punk, but can slowly unlock more slots in your roster and more punks to take those slots.
Unfortunately, everything from the shooting to the character design to the level generation is servicable but pretty flat. Not exactly bad, just flat. The game was fun enough at first, while there was a constant stream of new things to explore, but that stream soon dried up, and at around hour two or three I was already growing tired of seeing and doing the same few things over and over.
This is mostly because of the mechanics around upgrades, where it is only when you die that you get to spend the games second currency, meaning that you have to lose your progress in order to unlock the ability to find better gear in the bunkers, and the ability to build new facilities in your base, which allows you to buy further upgrades for your punks. This was ok the first couple of times it happened. At that point, since I hadn't made it very far into the game yet, the progress loss was minimal. But as you progress further and further through the string of bunkers on the map, and the number of floors per bunker grows, along with the number of enemies and the size of their health pools, each new restart presents a more and more tedious slog, without ever really presenting anything challenging or new along the way. Instead, the challenge becomes trying to stay alert enough throughout the boredom to not lose your punks to sheer unattentiveness before you even get back to where you were.
When the game, on top of this, starts introducing absolute bullet sponge bosses between floors, that you have to kill in order to unlock the elevator that lets you progress, it becomes actually impossible to progress further without those upgrades. At this point, it isn't even down to skill any more, as I have had situations where I've used up every bullet for every gun on the entire floor without being able to take down the boss. Giving me no other option than to simply just stand there and let the boss kill me so that I can start over. This feels cheap, stupid and disrespectful towards my time and patience. Did I really pay to have this experience?
If we set aside the quite infuriating way that it has been implemented here, the basic idea of this kind of progression can work for some games. I've spent way too much time in games like Darkest Dungeon, The Binding of Isaac and Rogue Legacy. I even finished the FPS rouge-like Immortal Redneck, so it's not about genre either. The problem appears when the basic gameplay is too flat and repetative to carry the experience. At that point, this kind of system becomes a total show stopper. There's just not enough depth in the gameplay, oumph in the gamefeel or variation between runs to stop it from becoming a chore. It ultimately ends up padding out what could have been a short, fun and fondly remembered romp through some bunkers, into a game that I will not finish and that will be remembered as a frustrating experience that didn't respect my time. At seven hours in, I'm totally done with it, the gameplay simply couldn't carry me through to the finish line.
For the asking price of 15€, I would expect more than this. If the price drops to around 5-6€, and if repetative gameplay is not a problem for you, it does offer some enjoyment, but as it stands, I can't really recommend this.

If asking for anything, i wish it could be played in co-op mode with friends or my brother. Combination of different characters used on the same map would be superb
Its a really nice "doom like" rogue like - decent balancing of, well, everything. That said, I find myself getting bored of it, Im not into repetitive games (like the entire rogue like genre...). But its a good game nonetheless.
I LOVE this game! I hope for more updates in the future though, I wish there was an endless mode. so you could just keep raiding bunkers to your hearts content.

[b] Basic ROguelike base building FPS and I mean that in a very literal sense. The shooting is basic, the roguelike elements are basic, and the graphics look like they'd were done for the Wolf3d Engine.[/b].
Basic set up is this. You raid bunkers, shoot drones, grab cash, get killed buy posthumous upgrades with the cash, startt a new game with those upgrades, wash rinse repeat until you have almost all the upgrades. I say almost because the game has a known bug that causes it to stop actually droppingb the cash you need to buy these upgrades when you're down to the last upgrade. The devs acknowledged this bug back in 2019 and to date we have no fix so its safe to say they've moved on and this ain't getting patched, which is incredibly frustrating because the last upgrade for me was the last Punk.
[h1] The Shooting[/h1]
Now the shooting is rudamentry. You can carry two weapons weapons come in 5 classes. Melee, Pistol, Rifle, SHotgun and Demolition. Each of this have 3 weapons for a total of 15 weapons. This sounds until you realize that all but 2 weapons count as handicaps.
Pistols are fine for the first 2 bunkers but quickly become useless. Rifles are weird since theydamage increases the fuirrther you are from the target and decreases as you get closer. This would be interesting if you ever did missions in wide open areas but since you're going to be spending 90% of tyour time in small rooms and cramped corriders rthis renders them mostly useless, and Melee weapons are pretty much a death sentence for you.
SHot guns and demoplitions are the only ones left and If you're using anything but the assault shotgun and the grenade launcher yuou are essentially nerfing yourself and if you're that bored and hard up for a challenge might I suggest actually playing a better game.
To the game's credit the movement feels smooth and satisfyingly responsive though I can't figure out why they bothered with a Jump button beyond they felt they were required to have one. I say this because Much like WOlf3d there's no point where you actually need to jump, or where it will actually help you.
[h1] The Punks[/h1]
The Punks are iinteresting in theory. They have different weapon proficiencies but that just ammoyunts tio a 25% damage boost. Every punk can use every weapon. and while they differ slightly in terms of speed, health and armor these difference don't amount to anything in practice which brings us to their passives and powers. ANd Going by that there is only 1 good PUnk, 1 Decent Punk, and 3 'why did you even bother'. Or to put it theis way: You have The Texan Terminator, Demolion man, and 3 Grade schoolers with brittle bones.
[h1] Base Building [/h1]
The base upgrades are pretty basic the enhance various aspects of your punks but in the end there's not much choice. There are good upgrades and useless upgrades and you'll figure out the difference pretty quickly.
[h1]The Roguelike[/h1]
The roguelike elements basically revolve around the types of areas in each bunker, but since I have yet to notice any actual difference between a Logistics, a Security, or a MEdical sector, or any of the others this basically amounts to nothin so there is no actual variation in the areas from run to run.
[h1] Conclusion[/h1]
All in all the game presents the illusion of being deeper than it actually is. I'd have no problem with it but the shallow nature and that bug I mentioned basically render this game overpriced at even $10 let alone $15. It'll bne a nice little time killer though if you can snag it for $5 or less.
feels under developed, lackluster, just over all missing content. The idea and everything that's there is great don't get me wrong but it just needed so much more to it. Even if someone were to take it now and add to the content that's there like more weapon variation, as there's only like 4, more gear, maybe a crafting system, and more to do with the HQ building, along with some marketing I think this game could definitely do pretty damn well. It's just that it falls short of so much and it sucks. Think VoidBastards minus 70% of the content that game has. I would've been okay with a copy paste of most of the mechanics in that game but with this games settings and a more indepth base building system similar to fallouts mobile game. Anyway I gave it a shot, enjoyed it for a little bit but found myself bored about 2 hrs in, continuing to push myself in hopes that there would be more content than what's there but after 4 hrs nothing seemed to change than what I had after 2 hrs of playing.
I've played this game for a sufficient length and got bored by the first 1 hour. But I continued playing because I have a compulsion for finishing games that I've started.
Pros:
- Light on the system
- Graphics somewhat remind you of minecraft
Cons: Oh boy! Where to begin.
- Most guns are extremely underpowered (Assault rifle, shotgun). Except for rocket launcher everything else is barely okay.
- Easy was more like a "nightmare" difficulty. I played at the "Easy" setting because I have a day job and with my limited time if I'm dying too many times gets frustrating.
- 90% of monsters will camp at corners, around the door edges on both sides. It's impossible to take them out without getting hit (unless you charge head-on into the room in which case the other campers behind various obstacles will hit you simultaneously). The camping makes for a frustrating gameplay.
- low ammo - In later levels you cannot pick up the drops because there's always multiple monsters attacking you non-stop
- You need to unlock upgrade rooms in order to progress. That requires tech drops. Those drops are pretty rare. This makes for a very very very long grind.
Overall, an interesting gameplay completely spoiled by too much grind and a completely difficulty imbalance.

Good fun shooting, and quite decent progression, but you really need to be the kind of person who likes roguelikes. It's a bit repetitive.
BUNKER PUNKS
A mix of survival based roguelite and FPS.
Fast paced gun play makes this an easy recommend, really enjoyed the first 2 hours or so, plan to beat the game for sure.
Only thing I wish was a wider selection of weapons, so far 6 levels in you get a pistol, Shotgun, assault rifle and lastly a rocket launcher.
Feels a bit limited but for the price I paid it feels like good time spent.
Given a deep discount - 7/10
Far more weapons and environments would have scored it higher, good selection of enemies though.. really feels like it could have been great, Achievements seem rather hard to get, about half of them have less then 5% achieved.
So far it's been good fun. The levels will be random each time so you can't really learn a level and play it better next time which is kind of a bummer. The last bunker was an order of magnitude harder than the others but I think with some upgrades and other things it won't be as bad. Definitely encourages speed and getting close.
While great in concept, Bunker Punks asks the player of 2 things, mastery over accuracy and movement. Both of which fall flat on their face in practice. Enemies have sprites that are generally lagr and wide, but the sprites don't represent the hitboxes, which are notably smaller. Movement is clunky, the randomly generated levels often being small rooms seperated by tight corridoors that are even sometimes to small for enemies to get out of and forces you to go after them or deal with the pain that is this games damage drop off. Eme,ies have pin point accurate but slow projectiles, so slow that i often found myself dodging out of the way off and circling around the enemy entirely to then run back into the bullet that I couldn't see behind me.
Had a lot of potential, but was abandoned pretty quick. The result is a mediocre game.

It's got good action, fast tight controls, some good ideas kicking around, and a nice atmosphere. However, it's extremely rough around the edges.
But it's fine. Buy it during a sale and you'll probably get your money's worth.

С одной стороны, именно плохих элементов в ней минимум. Однако с другой и положительных моментов в ней не так уж и много. Стоит ли покупать данный продукт в итоге? Зависит от того, что хотите получить. Отзыв положительный оставлю пожалуй, тем не менее, сразу же сообщаю — игра ну никак не стоит 349 рублей. Это [b] СЛИШКОМ [/b] высокая цена для такого продукта. Но обо всём по порядку.
[b] 1. ГЕЙМПЛЕЙ [/b]
Игра представляет из себя Роуг Лайт ФПС. Пострелушки с прокачкой. Вам предстоит пройти около десятка уровней, каждый из которых поделён на несколько этажей. Вы заходите в здание, на лифте поднимаетесь на 1 этаж ( видимо начинаете с нулевого, раз выходите именно из лифта ), выходите из него и убиваете различных роботов, находите другой лифт, поднимаетесь выше и повторяете расстрел. После этого, выходите из здания, строите бункеры, которые дают вам бонусы ( прокачка сделана в виде постройки этих бункеров ) и так по кругу. И в этом весь геймплей. Ничего более вы не получите. И вот тут начинаются уже очень специфические вещи. Сам геймплей максимально однообразный. Видов врагов МАЛО, оружия ОЧЕНЬ МАЛО, экипировки ОЧЕНЬ МАЛО, разнообразия локаций ОЧЕНЬ МАЛО. В итоге у игры есть одна характеристика, которая распространяется вообще на всё — ОЧЕНЬ МАЛО. Сами пострелушки выполнены неплохо. Они могут быть динамичными. Главный герой сверх быстрый ( любой из них, так как есть выбор персонажей ). Противников бывает много из-за чего на большой скорости можно устраивать нехилый такой замес. Однако после часа или двух, это начнёт уже надоедать. Дело в том, что тут не очень хороший Роуг Лайт. Перед тем, как у вас появятся новые виды оружия, их надо открыть за специальную валюту. Вы проходя уровни её получаете, ОБЯЗАТЕЛЬНО умираете и уже потом тратите её на открытие новых вещей. И этих новых вещей ВСЕГО 50 штук. Туда входят не только новые пушки и снаряжение, но и персонажи, а также новые бункеры ( то бишь прокачка ). И получается, что с самого начала игры, контента у вас супер мало. В то время как в каком-нибудь Dead Cells или Enter The Gungeon даже начального лута ой как хватает. Первый час наверно будете ходить со стандартным орудием. Тем не менее, даже после прокачки мало что изменится. И вот почему. У каждого персонажа есть специализация. Кто-то круто стреляет из пистолета, кто-то из автомата, кто-то из дробовика и так далее. Потому если у вас пистолетчик и вы прокачиваете владение пистолетом, то забудьте о другом оружии. На каждое оружие — своя прокачка. Особого смысла нет менять прокаченный пистолет, на непрокаченный дробовик предположим. Тут весь урон в цифрах. И это снижает вариативность, а так же делает игровой процесс очень однообразным. Ведь когда вы откроете новое оружие, вам надо его ещё найди\купить, а на это уйдёт время. И вы будете ходить скорее всего со стандартным оружием 1\3 прохождения захода. ДАЖЕ когда откроете весь новый лут, у пистолетчика будет всего 3 ВИДА ОРУЖИЯ. 1 из них стандартное. Вы конечно можете прокачивать и другие виды оружия параллельно, однако это не так эффективно и затратно, плюс проходить только ради этого и так однообразные уровни ну такое себе удовольствие. В итоге у каждого персонажа будет по 3 вида оружия для него. С собой таскать можно 2. Это грустно. Очень. Также будут доступны для приобретения различные виды снаряжения ( перчатки, обувка, броня и шлем ). Там особо не о чем говорить. Набор стандартный. Сет на владение пистолетом с небольшим количеством брони, сет на урон с автоматов, сет только на броню и так далее. И опять таки очень мало видов. А уж если хотите собрать сэт Банкира или Доктора, то желаю вам супер удачи. Я за 17 часов игры даже не увидел в игре как выглядят некоторые части их сэтов. Качая пистолеты, вам практически не нужны сеты автоматов и дробовиков и так далее, получается минус половина сэтов для экипировки. Плюс ко всему, всю эту Роуг Лайт движуху убивает странное решение разработчиков, передавать пассивные характеристики оружия другим персонажам. Что я имею ввиду. Вы сможете брать в заход 3 персонажа разной специализации. И вот если кто-то из них умрёт, его умение стрелять хорошо из пистолета\автомата\дробовика передаётся другому персонажу. Получается, мастер дробовика, просто получит бонусы предыдущего персонажа, скажет дробовику давай до свидания и будет как и прежний герой стрелять из пистолета,так как у вас уже вкачен бункер для увеличения урона пистолетами. Плюс к однообразию дикий. Что касается персонажей, то у них есть свои приросты к владению оружия, свои характеристики, 1 пассивный и 2 активных навыка у каждого. Но там снова особо не о чем говорить. Стандартный набор. У кого-то есть скилл на броню, у кого-то на урон, у кого-то на отталкивание. Ничего интересного. Получается, по части геймплея вам нужно быть осторожными. Если хотите много лута и сетов, то проходите мимо. Тут этого нет даже близко. Если хотите пострелять в пиксельных декорациях, то можете попробовать, очень неплохие пострелушки.
[b] 2. ГРАФЕНСКИЙ\ДИЗАЙНСКИЙ [/b]
Тут тоже мало что получится рассказать. Типичная пиксельная графика с неплохими спрайтами персонажей. Они как в старом DOOM или Zero Tolerance плоские. Мне почему-то очень визуальный дизайн и построение уровней напомнили именно Zero Tolerance. Каждый уровень, это комната с врагами, коридор, следующая комната с врагами. Интересного мало. Даже в самом конце вы дерётесь с такими же врагами и в тех же помещениях, что и всегда. И нет финального босса в самом конце игры. Скудно. Это расстраивает. Одни и те же комнаты на протяжении всей игры. Будьте к такому готовы. После прохождения игры, нет какого-то ощущения завершённости. Где начали, там и закончили.
[b] 3. ВРАГИ [/b]
Их мало видов. Кто-то стреляет, кто-то взрывается, кто-то бьёт вблизи. Всё. Тоже самое с ПОД БОССАМИ. Я не могу их назвать полноценными боссами локаций, так как это такие же враги, что и всегда, но у них больше ХП и они сами по размеру больше. Однако убиваются без особых усилий. Раз выстрелят в вас, вы увернётесь, выстрелите в ответ, продолжаете до победного. Враги не стреляют наперёд, они стреляют именно в ту точку, где засекли вас. То есть, зажимаете стрейф влево или вправо и пичкаете свинцовыми консервами своих недругов. Не очень прикольно на самом деле. Минус разнообразие. Особого внимания надо удостоить СОБАК. Они реально больно кусают. ОЧЕНЬ. Это самые сильные противники. Я серьёзно. На последних этапах их по 10 штук на уровне, вот там начинается веселуха и УсейнБолтовщина. Повторюсь — финального босса нету. Грусть. Вот тебе и разнообразие врагов.
[b] 4. МУЗЫКА [/b]
Это единственная часть игры, к которой у меня нет претензий. Она годная. И это меня удивило. Однозначно плюсик.
[b] 5. БАГИ [/b]
Они есть. Они частые. Вы можете застрять в стене, в трупе врага, в ящике, горшке с цветком, сейфе, [strike] в гос.долге США [/strike] и вас обязательно ранят. Неприятно. У вас может не сработать активное умение или сработать, но индикатор активного умения не будет исчезать после использования. И вот таких мелочей хватает. Также будьте готовы.
[b] 6. ПОЛОЖИТЕЛЬНО? СТОИТ ПОКУПАТЬ? [/b]
Почему положительный отзыв? Мне кажется, что разработчиков можно поддержать ( но только со скидкой :D ). Виден потенциал. Есть неплохие элементы. Но ВСЕГО МАЛО. Либо времени не хватало, либо денег, не совсем ясно. Однако если бы увеличили количество контента, играть стало бы веселее. А так, очень скудный набор. Даже после разблокировки всего. Что занимает не так много времени по очевидным причинам. БРАТЬ ТОЛЬКО СО СКИДКОЙ. Серьёзно. 349 рублей это ЭРЕБОР. Если бы я купил игру за такую цену и прошёл бы её, то разнёс бы в щепки. Я очень удивлён такому количеству положительных отзывов. Игра на супер любителя. Который будет снисходителен.

Fine game, just not too... captivating, good idea, great system for base building, plenty of potential, 4 guns at most it felt like and the damage bonuses were minimal with everything and your powers don't make much difference aside from Cleo's 1 second stun.
Will change review if it gets updated to fix these in the future but it's just not too captivating.

Little repetitive compared to other Roguelikes but still fun and exciting, I like to play while listening to podcasts or audiobooks
Get gunfire reborn if you want a more complete experience, this is a nice game to chill with if you find yourself coming back to doom 1 and 2 every couple years. Fast paced Gunplay, retrovibes, nothing special to write home about sad to say. Grab on sale.
FPS Classic Doom/Wolfenstein clone with modern resolution and some nice touches. It is also a roguelite. I saw a screenshot of the bunker management screen and thought there might be more to that, like Fallout Bunker. There's not, it's just upgrades. The levels are pretty redundant in line with what one would expect in a Classic Doom/Wolfenstein clone. The music is pretty good.
It's a fun shooty game. It is what it is, pretty hard to believe you had reasonable expectations if you didn't see it for what it is coming into it.
This is more of neutral rating leaning towards thumbs down.
Bunker Punks is a competent rougelike, it's just not fun, because there is almost no variety when it comes to the locations and the enemies, and there is no progression when it comes to tactics, meaning it's basically just run and gun. The game is a call-back to 90s fps games, but those game were not rougelites and didn't forget to give health and ammo to the players. Bunker Punks often does that, I can remember how many times I was left without a weapon or ammo. Recovering health is based on RNG too.
In this game the shotgun is the be all end all of the weapons. If you are close enough, it's a one shot kill for most enemies. The other weapons are near useless, which sadly makes the game tedious and repetitve. The game encourages fast play and hectic fighting, but enemies seem to have pin point accuracy and you can get stuck in items resulting in a quick death.
I am guessing this is very much by design, since the main progression only happens when you die. This sounds good on paper, but sadly it's incredibly grindy.
All in all, there are few good ideas here and there, but not enough to make this fun.

Fun little game, I recommend catching it on sale, i got in a Fanatical Bundle.
Fast paced combat, light rpg elements, rougelike. Its a fun little time killer.
Things I didn't enjoy were not being able to purchase any upgrade after death, it only gives a selection of 4 at a time.
Other cons include:

-Drastic damage falloff
-Enemies are a tad boring
All of that aside for how small the dev team is (I believe its just one developer) I think they did a great job.

Bunker Punks is an addictive and charming FPS rogue-lite that has a fun atmosphere and an appreciated base building mechanic that's (thankfully) simple and allows a breath of fresh air after you make it through each of the levels on a small, connected map.
The gist of the game is you're part of a band of revolutionaries waging urban guerilla warfare against an evil corporation that has made humanity collectively have a bad day for what seems like a long time. There are little tidbits of lore that pop up in between levels in a timeline format showing the decay of the world. You pick from a rotating list of "punks" each with their own stats/specialties.
The gameplay is pure run and gun and brings to mind games like DOOM and Wolfenstein, which seem like obvious influences considering the pixel art style the game chooses to implement. The formula: Make your way from A-B, with B being an elevator at the end to take you up to the next floor of the corporate building you're raiding.
Various monsters will be ready to eviscerate you - ranging from small, janky drones that shock you to gigantic metal spiders with rocket launchers strapped to their backs. There are also objects in the game to destroy that contain weapons, health pickups, and - most importantly - Credits and Tech, which are used during both the post-death and post-level phases.
Outside of the raids, you return to your hideout upon completion of a level. This is where you have the opportunity to spend Credit on various upgrades, heal your punks, and buy weapons/armor from a trader (whom you can also sell weapons/armor you store into your upgradable backpack during the level phase).
The base building is very simple, which is a breath of fresh air. It's a device that is meant to give you a breather after making your way through the increasingly difficult levels and formulate a strategy on what stats you'd like to upgrade (i.e. health given back after each floor, pistol damage, etc.)
Permadeath is a mechanic in Bunker Punks, and how it works is every time your punk(s) die, you are able to spend the Tech you have accrued on permanent upgrades for the game (of which there are 50). This can manifest in such ways like new guns to acquire, adding additional punks to your roster, armor sets, etc. Basically it's what gives the game some replayability.
To be honest, I spent 3 hours straight playing this game and beat it. It is definitely one of those games where you will get addicted to it and see it through, but unfortunately I'm not all that sold on replaying it myself. Sure, I had only died twice and had a surplus of Tech to spend after I beat the game - so I know I can go back and experience some things - but I guess it's kind of like Taco Bell: It sounds like a great idea to get, while it's happening it's actually pretty good, but after you're done and reflect, you realize that you're [i] actually [/i] done with it.

Buy it on sale, preferably. I recommend it, but with the stipulation that it's a one-and-done type of deal.
Great FPS Roguelike game
This game was in my ignored list until i got it through Fanatical Pick and Mix promotion. The graphics use 2D pixel in a 3d world, the enemies are 2d sprites. The gameplay is based on run and gun and move from room to room and then floor to floor. The controls are very simple that it uses a keyboard and mouse. There is also an option to play it using a controller. The real star in the game is the roguelike progression. Enemies, rooms and pickups are random. Another interesting fact is that this game was built by a solo developer.
rough around the edges, but at it's core it's a solid, fun game. pick it up on sale.
