Just finished the game. I did not like that some puzzles were extremely hard to solve, in fact without the hints or online guides, it would have taken me forever. In some case I might never have solved some puzzles on my own. I still recommend the game though, the atmosphere, characters and locations are just awesome, I really liked this adventure. I do plan to play other Broken Sword games in the future.

Beautiful remaster of an absolute classic, point and click didn't get much better than globetrotting adventures with George and Nico. As nice as it looks though, it does feel like it's lost some of its charm in terms of the artwork and once you realise that AI was used in a lot of it, it's hard not to notice. On the positive side, I believe the AI was trained on Revolution’s own art works, so that’s something. Still, if you haven't played BS before or just have a hankering to visit the glory days of point and click, this is probably the best way to do it.

Ein tolles Pc-Adventure,
was ich in der ursprünglichen Version 1996 schon auf der Play Station 1 gespielt habe.
Es macht mir nach wie vor Spaß und erfreut mich,
es wieder spielen zu können .
Die Grafik und der Ton sind erneuert worden.
Es ist ja schon ein paar Tag her wo ich es gespielt habe ,
aber ich bin mir ziemlich sicher das neue Kapitel dazugekommen oder die Geschichte ein wenig ausgeweitet worden ist !! Was der Geschichte und dem Spiel nicht schadet
Einfach ausprobieren.!!!!
Klare Kaufempfehlung...Viel Spaß !!!

Great bit of nostalgia, nice revamped graphics but still in keeping with look and fill of original. Simple point and click with even simpler puzzles. Great for beginners to point/click puzzle games.

I enjoyed the game well enough. But it is commented by many to be a masterclass in the series. I don't agree with this.

The game as a whole seems disjointed. Like scenes are left out. You click on something to solve a puzzle and after a two second cutscene that explains nothing, you are magically back in Nico's apartment. The first time this happened I actually had to look up if my game bugged or something but no, it was supposed to do this.

Many things you have to do are unintuitive. One example is on a train towards the end. Nico is tied up but instead of being able to click on her to untie her you are supposed to try to leave. This makes no sense.

My last gripe is the story as a whole. George is the only one getting the clues and solving the mystery of the Templars. Only George gets the gem, chalice, manuscript, any of it. And yet somehow when a beam of light reveals a secret clue that only he has access to, the bad guys are already at the next location ahead of him. Huh? How do they know where any of these secret locations are?

Anyway, as far as point and click adventures go, this one is entertaining enough. The humor kept me engaged when the other elements didn't. I was always interested in what George had to say next. On the whole I was a much bigger fan of Gabriel Knight.

I played the original game many decades ago. It wasn’t one of my favorites. I used to remember some scenes and parts when I started the Reforged.
Now I have a better impression of the games that I did back then.
The remake of the graphics and art is excellent, the new design of the characters. The music and sound effects(which I think are the original ones) Its one of the best aspects of the game.
Its an adventure design so you can have a good time, relax. The atmosphere never becomes too oppressive or dark.
The best parts of the story are the those directly connected with the action of finding the treasure. The cave, the Vasconcellos mansion, search for clues in the parchment. I liked a lot the action sequence on the train. I didn’t remember that part.
Some dialogues between George and Nico are very good as well. The love triangle between George, Nico and Andre is okay but its not developed enough.
What I don’t like are the puzzles in general. They feel very implausible in many moments. There are many puzzles to distract characters so you can take an object or advance to a location. There are also a lot of stereotypical and cartoonish characters along with a lot of weak dialogue.
I recognize that they put a lot of work and thought into this game in the 90´s. The music, the script, level variations. I understand why its considered one of the best adventures of that era.

haven't played an old school adventure game like this for a long time, so some of the puzzles felt almost impenetrable, and sound can be rough at times.
but so what. hint system is well done, writing is smart, charm is abundant.
