非常に手堅く纏まった王道RPGです。過去作とのストーリー上のつながりは一切ありません。初代の面白さは引き継ぎつつ、セカンドの悪い部分はほぼすべて消滅しています。王道過ぎることを良しとするか悪しとするかで評価が変わるでしょう。
シリーズ恒例ではありますが、ジョブの組み合わせによっては中盤からバランスがぶっ壊れます。レベル上げをしないというのが最も楽しめるやり方なので、俺つえーが興味ない人はそのようにプレイすると最後まで緊張感を保ってプレイできるかと思います。

First off, the writing is awful. The writing is so incredibly shallow that it makes the actual gameplay difficult to stomach. The UI looks like it's out of some cheap mobile game. But those would all be tolerable if interacting with the gameplay part of the game was rewarding, interesting, or fun. Unfortunately it manages to be none of those things.

Every single enemy is a gigantic bag of hit points with some sort of built in counter. I assume that it's supposed to feel strategic and fun but it just ends up making very battle a tedious slog that you will always be underpowered for. Many apologists for this game will say "well AKSHULLY if you use the correct build..." but that sort of defeats the entire purpose of having a flexible job system.

Every single dungeon is ridiculously long with not enough save points.

The game is built around surviving an avalanche of debuffs. You will never be able to afford the mountain of very specific recovery items that you'll need to operate normally.

Figuring out how to be punished LESS isn't strategic: it's Stockholm Syndrome.

It's like somebody looked at the last half of Bravely Default and said, "wow, what a tedious waste of time and effort. Let's keep that energy but front load it."

Después de lo buenos que son bravely default y bravely second compre este juego con optimismo.
No cometas el mismo error que yo, se han cargado por completo el sistema de batalla con un balance malísimo, que si me preguntas a mi surge de dos decisiones pésimas que se tomaron:
- añadir una ATB al combate que se carga por completo el régimen de turnos
- hacer que desde la mitad del juego los jefes reaccionen a TODO ganando 1 PB
Lo primero es malo, pero aun es salvable de no ser por lo segundo, que se carga por completo todo, en especial con un jefe que tras cada acción regenera tanto vida como pm, y con cada acción incluye la reacción de ganar 1 PB por que tu personaje ha cometido el crimen imperdonable que es curar sus heridas.
Ahora que han sacado el remake del primer juego en steam puedes comprarlo en lugar de esta decepción que escupe en la cara de sus dos predecesores

I have really mixed feelings about this game. While it has decent gameplay, the force mini-game and RNG-based (thus extremely grindy) achievements ruins it completely.
I said buy this game if it’s on sale, I wouldn’t recommend paying full price.
The story and combat are decent, and I like the class system where you can borrow turns to quickly end a fight, and combining a primary and secondary class, which gives raise to lots of strategic moves, like you can have one character that is purely support with buff and heals. Boss fights require some strategy, but smaller enemies are easy, just A-move to clear.
The worst part is the minigame and achievements. The BnD minigames is terrible, but you need to play it since it’s for side quests and Steam achievements. Many achievements are also RNG-based or extremely grindy, which makes the experience frustrating.

I write this review fresh out of my first full playthrough of BD2. I have played both Flying Fairy and Bravely Second around when they came out.
THIS REVIEW HAS SPOILERS FOR CONCEPTS THAT THE BRAVELY DEFAULT SERIES REUSES IN ITS STORY AND MECHANICS!

Bravely Default, back when it came out, stood out on two points: Innovative combat mechanics, as well as a story that is unconvential to JRPGs. My expectation after Flying Fairy and Bravely Second was that both the combat and the unconventional, yet now familiar story elements, would continue to be refined and reimagined in future iterations of the series.
The Bravely Default series has a predictable cast of characters: The male self-insert, the dutiful female companion, the drunken male scholar, and the abrasive female companion, who holds some sort of secret. In each game, how these characters develop varies in quality, but I would say that Flying Fairy, to my memory, did it best.
The story is also predictable in its core elements: An evil empire seeks to conquer the world by means its ruler does not fully understand. What all games do however, is introduce elements that truly messed with your mind. I remember sitting in front of my 3DS playing Flying Fairy, getting to a certain point in the story, and wondering whether my game broke thinking about what happened. If it wasn't well written, and I am not sure as I am riffing off of memory here, then it was incredibly hype to witness.

I inadvertently hoped that Bravely Default 2 would do something similar. Unfortunately, I am left sorely disappointed. The combat remains fun as ever. The cast had potential to develop beautifully, seeing their initial dynamics. However, they largely remained where they were. The litle bit of character development they had is beaten to death in dialogue two chapters after it occurred. The dialogue in main story cutscenes is just okay, and all the side dialogue, which is optional, is at times painful to read. The story did play with those same unconventional elements again, but to a much lesser degree. Those who know Bravely Default know which rhetorical devices are usually used to tie the big twist, and this time, the twist was just okay.
This was my second or third attempt to play through the game, and I often times just don't play through games even though I liked them, so I didn't think much of it. Unfortunately, Bravely Default 2 feels like you go at a snail's pace. I had a particular moment prior to the second arc that made feel like this game is already overstaying much of its welcome. What kept me going is the incredible music by Revo, and a hope that things would go better. They didn't.

Bravely Default 2 is a sore reminder that greatness cannot be easily followed up on. Play Flying Fairy instead, if you haven't.

Graphics: 7/10. 3D Chibi style which isn't my fave, but the watercolour style zones are beautiful. The dungeons can be a bit bland but not bad.

Story: 7.5/10. Surprisingly dark at times, likeable cast. Do you like FF1,3,4,5 etc? Would you like to gather crystals? Wonderful, I've got great news for you...

Character Customization: 8.5/10. Job system on par with V and almost as good as FFT. Superb.

Gameplay 10/10. I'm playing through on Hard mode... its oustanding. Every boss fight feels like a proper challenge, even random encounters often require some thought (especially when entering new areas).

Overall, I'm pleasantly surprised. Really solid game that feels more FF than most modern FF.

8.5/10. Would Dual-wield Shields again.

（含微量剧透）如果是第一次接触《勇气默示录》系列，那《勇气默示录2》无疑是一款不可多得的JRPG佳作。独特的游戏机制配合成熟的叙事模式，对于感兴趣的人来说，无论何时都值得一试。
但对于玩过前作的玩家而言，对本作自然抱有更高的期待——而期待，往往也伴随着遗憾。就我个人体验来看，除了画质有明显提升外，剧情、人物塑造和演出表现都和前作有不小差距，难以令人满意。主角团之间的互动有股陌生人之间的生疏和拘谨，缺乏前作那种默契和温度。而帝国皇帝发动战争的理由更是草率得令人出戏...完全没有那种背负沉重的“恶人魅力”，只剩下莽撞和单薄。
本作角色最让我印象深刻的，反倒是支线任务中的两位佣兵。每次推进他们的故事，都让人满怀期待，还好最终有情人终成眷属，算是为整体平淡的人物塑造添上了几分温情。
音乐方面虽然Revo整体更加成熟，但前作中ryo与chelly的《last song》实在太难超越，至今仍在我的歌单里循环播放。可以说，正是因为这首歌曲，我才踏入了这个系列。本作ED也很好听，但由于剧情的匮乏，难以在结尾引发真正的情感共鸣。
游戏的难度曲线也存在一定问题。前期选困难模式确实有些吃力，但一旦把魔兽使职业升满后，对于喜欢捕获怪物的我来说几乎可以一路平推，最终BOSS完全没有紧张感，看着角色一排999的属性值，实在有点难绷。
当然，抛却这些不足外，剩下的全是优点。职业之间的玩法搭配多种多样，极具自由度；勇气的战斗方式极具爽感；卡牌对战“驳斗”也相当有趣。整体来说，依然值得推荐，也期待后续作品！

The prologue through chapter 4 are stellar. Unfortunately, the pacing falls off a cliff after that, and it feels as though the three endings of the game were all rushed and phoned in. The characters gloss over events that should have a lot of emotional weight for the sake of getting to the next scene.

There's a gimmick that seems to only be in the game for the sake of having a gimmick, unlike in the previous two titles where it featured heavily in the story.

Narrative too dull to interest anyone familiar with these games.

Gameplay too hard to be an entry point for the uninitiated.

A game truly for no one.

EDIT: If you plan on getting this for the challenge alone, then you should know nothing really stops you from just using 4 of the best option and trivializing the game past the quarter-way point save for your own restraint.

And after beating some of the super(?) bosses I can confirm there won't be much for you here unless you're fond of letting someone win and having them gloat at you.

初見ハードモードを低レベルでラスボスまでプレイ後
ネタバレは含めないように抽象的なレビュー内容を心がけます。

何で埋もれてたのかよく分からないくらいヤバいゲームだった。
RPGに欲しい要素が全て入っている理想のRPGと呼べる内容だった。
町の数とかはそんなに多くないのに冒険してる感が半端ないし、ボス戦の1つ1つにこんなに思い出があるゲームは初めてだった。
パーティキャラもボスキャラも全員好きになれる、相手が強くても理不尽というより「かっこいい」「すごい」と思える、相手側もシステムを活かしてくる戦闘の応酬が最高だった。
パーティキャラは全員人間性が良くて戦闘ボイスにも特徴があって、1人1人に色々な思い出がある。能力差がないおかげで誰に何をさせるのかが本当の意味で自由なところも良かった。
バトルシステムは激熱で素晴らしいが壊れジョブ・壊れアビリティはかなり多く、あまり頼らないように色々なジョブを程々に育てるのが一番このバトルシステムを楽しめるプレイスタイルだと思う。ボス敵側のMPバーストが発生するのは昔のゲームらしくて面白いが、壊れジョブを制限してプレイすると意図せずにMPバーストで決着がついてしまう展開が多発してしまうので、敵MPが無限のベリーハードのようなモードがあるとなお良かった。
BGMについても戦闘曲全般は録音して何度も聴いておりフィールド曲も素晴らしい。

同じスクエニのオクトパストラベラー2をクリアしたときに表示される「Thank you for traveling with us」というワードがめっちゃ好きだったんだけど、このゲームもプレイしたというよりパーティキャラと冒険した、旅をしたような感覚だったので、その分クリア後の喪失感が大きくて他の新しいゲームをやろうかという気がしばらく起きなさそうだ。
BD1やブレイブリーセカンド、続編もSteamに出してほしい。

BGMが良すぎる。タイトル画面の曲からして雰囲気が違う。
ラスボス戦の曲はかなり良いので、たまにラスボス戦だけをプレイしたりしてる。
ストアページトップの動画のBGMを聞いて良い曲だと感じた人にはかなりおすすめ。

ストーリーについては、中盤は正直中だるみって感じだったが、終盤からエンディングまではかなり良かった。

ただ、一部のボス戦が初見殺しだったりするのは微妙な所。

I bought this because I'm a fan of the composer for the game, Revo. I have no knowledge about the game itself, and I am very new to games like this, so I was going in blind.

First few hours, okay, it's decent, then came the boss fights. I really want to enjoy the story, but I'm bombarded with bosses back to back. If I can't fight it, I grind at the first city's beach, rinse and repeat. But I've been doing it so often that I got bored. Shame the game doesn't even have auto or something similar; you have to manually fight enemies to grind jp.

Side quests are also annoying, one of them had me come back and forth three times just to finish. That man in the dungeon who made us come back to the city just for utensils, what do you want next, a dining table and a candlelight?!

I really want to at least get onto the story and finish it, but with such a demotivating gameplay I can't do it.

I enjoyed the game for over 60 hours just fine, it's a generic but easy to pick up and play JRPG with nothing really all that special going for it. Everything about the game is a drag, from mastering classes to leveling comparted to the 3DS games before it, but it's not so bad that it wouldn't be enjoyable. There is some charming dialogue and characters, beautiful art in the towns and some truly excellent music. Overall, the game is relaxing and fun in a traditional JRPG kinda way. It was a nice 7.0/10 experience for me and I loved it in spite of its flaws.

The story is simple, straightforward and very traditional.
There are some brutal or overly edgy segments throughout the story but they barely have any actual lasting impact on the main characters or their emotional state. Traumatic things happen, but they will only phase those new to JRPGs and for the rest of us, they feel underdeveloped or forced.

Gameplaywise, I don't care about systems or mechanics in games much, but what was there worked, it's simple enough to understand and combining jobs and abilities is fun. The only issue is, leveling all these interesting jobs is just too much work, so I used a trainer to increase the Job Points gained after battle to 16x so I could level up my jobs quicker and experiment more by combining them, this made the game a lot more fun.

Overall tho, this is a very charming, very enjoyable game. I can either give it thumbs up or down, initially but in reality it's somewhere in between for me.

Graphics: 5.5/10 - great art direction for the cities/towns but the rest is unaimaginative and generic. The chibi style doesn't work well IMO in this case with graphics this detailed.

Music and Sound: 8.5/10 - some amazing music and top notch British voice acting! Absolutely loved this aspect of the game

Gameplay: 7.0/10 - While leveling jobs was a drag, the rest was simple, fun, turn based JRPG gameplay and once you have your jobs all leveled up experimenting with them is genuinely a ton of fun

Story: 5.0/10 - average JRPG story, nothing truly outstanding tho charming to be sure. But the main focus of this game is the job and combat system rather than an original or captivating story. However even with the generic story, the charming character interactions, the party chats and some side quests did help with making the characters and world rather lovely.

Overall: 7.0/10 - I'm not grading based on averages, just my own personal feeling towards the game as a whole. It was fun but ultimately nothing truly outstanding or memorable.

One big issue I have is the game, near the end, briefly turned into a mandatory Card Game and I despise Card Games (with the exception of Baten Kaitos). What was presented as a mere minigame until this point that I happily ignored, proved mandatory in order to unlock the last "optional" class so you can proceed with the story and see the game through to its actual end. This single mini game locked the true ending and final dungeon of the game behind a card game wall and while simple, to someone who hates these types of games like me, this was a huge blow initially.

I wholeheartedly recommend Bravely Default II if you're looking for a simple JRPG. It's not as good as the first two games but it is a charming adventure I enjoyed a lot - 7.0/10 which to me is a good score

- Due to the Mandatory card game - I was so upset when I learned I had to play this thing, I stuck a not recommended thumbs down on this review lol, but no it's a decent game. Just be sure to complete that garbage minigame early on or when you are able, it IS mandatory. The content that will be locked away at the end of the game if you don't complete it is of utmost importance.

Overall a very fun and enjoyable experience that I recommend to anyone who likes turn based combat and / or traditional jrpgs. It feels like a great modern take on the genre with a lot of the rough edges of similar games and the previous titles ironed out. It does have its downsides, but is overall a very solid game. Also you don't need to have played any of the previous games and this one is probably the best to start with.

Pros:
- Very solid turn based combat. Enemies and bosses feel much more fair compared to the previous titles and every fight has a really solid pace to it. The difficulty also feels pretty on point, though some optional late game fights can be pretty brutal
- Jobs (classes) are quick to level and have a lot more fun abilities to combine with each other compared to the previous games. You can make some very fun builds and it feels like almost all classes have something to offer to multiple builds
- An overall decent story that keeps you invested, even though the characters are doing a lot of the heavy lifting. That is mostly due to the incredible voice acting that is close to something like Baldur's Gate 3
- A lot of QoL improvements compared to the original, which makes this one a lot more fun to play. A lot of the annoying pain points of these types of games (enemies spamming statuses, constant backtracking, boring loot etc.) have been ironed out

Things that could be better:
- The story is overall good, but it's extremely straightforward. The original at least had some kind of plot twist, but with this one it's gonna be pretty clear how everything plays out from the beginning
- Some classes feel like they are just inferior versions of others (e.g. black mage) and could have used some love, while others have abilities that kind of break the balance of the game (e.g. beast tamer)
- A lot of the late game bosses (mostly optional) are tuned to a point where it feels like you have to resort to some "not very intuitive" strategies (chain cc, shieldmaster shenanigans etc.) or try to one shot certain bosses, as any sort of "normal" fight is a losing battle

The full story with almost all side content was 80h for me. If you're looking for a shorter playthrough this might not be it, but personally I think it strikes a good balance between having a lot of content and not draging on for too long at the end.

A great RPG from the usuall suspects. Very enjoyable to play. I haven't played the prior installments in this series, a lot of the negative reviews seem to not like this game compared to the first two games. I was looking for something to play after Octopath, and was happy to find BD2 on steam. The only thing I didn't really like about this game was the end/s. I don't need to get the credits 3 times, I don't want to hunt for the real ending, I don't need 3 endings, and none of them really felt satisfying to me, which let me down. I would have liked one strong ending and maybe another town of two, like a town on the last isle and Seths hometown would have been cool. I got this game on sale for $35 AUD but its easily worth much more than that, would be happy to have paid $50-$65. Will happily play BD1 if Square ever put it on steam or PS5.

[i]Bravely Default II[/i] is not a direct sequel to the original game for anyone wondering. It follows more the Final Fantasy approach of sequels being disconnected from one another, and in my opinion that is the best way to play this game: its own take on the formula, rather than a follow-up of the original.

To start, the story is a pretty bog-standard find the four crystals and save the world scenario, but with just enough small twists and nice moments for it to be enjoyable. The problems mostly arise for most character interaction and development to be dependent on sidequests you can easily miss, so try to check around the world for any storybeats NPCs may offer you to expand the characters more. Nothing groundbreaking, but it is enjoyable.

The make-or-break however for most people will be the battle & job system. Taking the series' well-known brave & default mechanics, you can gather brave points to do multiple actions in a single turn, and now with a speed gauge you get the added benefit of speed making you able to do more or less turns. A change I do like help spices up the combat, though it can make some fight have enemies ram on you if they're quick enough.
The other major mechanic is enemy counters, making most fights now rely more on being cautious who to hit. Early on it is no issue, but later bosses can be very aggressive with their counterplay, which may turn away people who do not like that but I do welcome it none the less.
The job system however is a good improvement and with the right setup can be broken as hell experimenting. Two dozen jobs with unique playstyles to pick and choose from, combining their abilities for devastating effects. Maybe not as inventive as Bravely Second but definitely as enjoyable to mess around with in combat.

The visuals look gorgeous with the painted towns and the return of REVO to compose the soundtrack makes for a banger wherever you go, the hightlight of the game for me.

Overall the game is good, but a lot of it depends on what you're willing to tolerate and are looking for in a JRPG. Very different to what came beforehand, but ultimately a game I do recommend you try out even if only just for the combat and the soundtrack.

Классы менять можно всем персам и комбинировать два сразу, сделано в целом любопытно. В остальном же сильно напоминает первые финалки, тема с кристаллами и вся вот эта штука буквально бьёт по олдскулам. Я бы поставила ей 5/6 из 10, неплохо но перепроходить мне в целом не хочется, хотя и есть свои прикольные моменты. Без скидки крайне не рекомендую, этого прайса игра не стоит ВООБЩЕ

主人公４人のキャラ設定がしっかりしてて、シナリオの繋がりがとても自然でスムーズ。

逆に、工夫を凝らして、しっかり勝利できた時は凄くスッキリする。

　楽しんだのは確かだしプレイして後悔するようなことはなかったけれど、ストレスも多いなぁというのが正直な印象。星五つなら三ぐらい、ギリギリおすすめはしないライン。
　難易度が高いのは問題ないのだけれど、後半『物理攻撃をしたらカウンターで反撃、魔法攻撃をしたらカウンターで反撃、バフを積んだら行動回数が増えて』……みたいなボスが多くて、正直強敵と戦うドキドキよりもストレスの方が大きかった。そのため、このキャラは物理攻撃、このキャラは魔法攻撃、といった感じでジョブを習得させていたので、時折ボス戦で貢献できない場面も多かった。じゃあ他のジョブを成長させれば、とは思うが、そこからジョブレベル上げするのも正直苦行。
　クエストも、何度も同じ場所を行き来させるようなものがあって、残念ながらコンプリートする気にはなれなかった。

　悪いことばかり書いているけれど、ストーリーラインは王道JRPGで「これだよこれ、こういうのをやりたかったんだよ！」という感じで、メインキャラクターたちも好み。かつての王道RPGの正当進化な物語で、後半の戦闘の面倒臭さがあっても最後までプレイさせる力強さがあった。その後の彼らも見たいなと思わせる、仲の良い四人の関わりが見ていて楽しい。

I've beaten the full game on Switch 2, and I wanted to try it again after playing through the BD1 remaster so I bought it on PC for the increased frame rate and mod support.

It's really apparent going back to back how Bravely Default 2 just doesn't have the charm and heart of its predecessor. It feels soulless, it lost so much of the goofiness that defined the first two titles. Now things just feel generic to a wild degree, not helped by the visuals being far less unique, The original felt like an awesome throwback to the PSX days of RPGs, to stuff like Final Fantasy IX. This just feels like anyone could have made it, it doesn't feel special. The story is kind of generic and the dialogue is not great, but the combat and job system is fresh and inspired. Bravely Default is all about action economy--when you defend, you save a turn; and you can even borrow future turns to act sooner, but so can the enemy and there are often buffs and debuffs involved in having a surplus or deficit of available actions.
You can also combine the skills of two jobs + some select special abilities of other jobs to create a unique combat style of your own, using your four characters.

A bunch of boss fights are basically "beat them using this method, AND THIS METHOD ONLY!". If you didn't build your characters\jobs for that method, then off you go for hours to prep for the one boss fight. Rinse and repeat for a bunch of bosses. Becomes a real slog towards the end-game.

Bravely Default II tries to be the gaming equivalent of a warm, knitted blanket—a return to the classic era of "Four Heroes of Light" chasing crystals across a clay-mation world. It wears its old-school sensibilities like a badge of honor, offering a nostalgic loop of town-dungeon-boss that feels cozy, if a bit predictable. However, unlike its 3DS predecessor which deconstructed the genre with clever meta-commentary, this sequel plays it painfully straight. The plot is a standard "save the world" trope that feels like it was generated by an AI trained exclusively on 1990s SNES manuals, and the side quests have all the narrative weight of a grocery list.

Fortunately, you aren't here for the story; you're here for the Job System, and on that front, the game delivers a Michelin-star buffet. Unlocking a new Asterisk (class) and immediately scanning its passives to see how it breaks the game is a dopamine hit that never gets old. The combat shines when you are allowed to be clever, stacking "Brave" points to unleash four turns in a row or hoarding "Default" defense to tank a nuke. When the systems click, you feel less like a warrior and more like a tactical accountant, balancing the books of violence with terrifying efficiency.

The friction, however, comes from a Game Master who hates it when you win. The boss design relies heavily on "Counters"—arbitrary rules where enemies get free attacks if you do specific things, like healing, using items, or breathing too loudly. It turns strategic preparation into a game of "Guess What The Devs Banned," forcing you to endure a trial-and-error death just to learn the invisible rules. It’s like playing chess against a pigeon that knocks over the board whenever you're winning. Combined with the removal of the beloved "Encounter Rate" slider from the previous games, the pacing drags significantly in the back half.

At full price, Bravely Default II is a hard sell next to the polished perfection of modern peers. It’s the "B-Team" of Square Enix RPGs—competent, crunchy, but lacking the soul of the heavy hitters. However, it makes for a fantastic "podcast game" on the Steam Deck. If you can snag it for $25 or less, mute the English dialogue in favor of the superior Japanese track, and treat it as a spreadsheet simulator with a killer soundtrack, you'll have a good time. Just don't expect it to change your life.

I came to this game after the emptyness caused by finished Octopath Traveler 0, 1 and 2.
This game is made by Square Enix too, so i was expecting a similar gameplay experience like Octopath.
And guys, I have finished the game with all the different endings and i have loved this game.
I have skipped all the secondary quests. Too boring to take action on those.
But the main questline and the job system (similar to Octopath 2) are more than enough to making this one of my favourite turn based RPGs of all times.

I think that the strengh of the gameplay system is the same as Octopath : keep it simple.
You have different jobs, weapons, armors, etc., BUT the battle mechanics are simple to learn. And this is the good part. You will be able to build your character and make it strong enough for boss fights even without consulting online builds.

CONS>>>

I think that this game has only 2 cons.

1: you unlock some jobs and some features of them only when the game is near to the end. So you don't have any possibility to play around with them for long before the ending ( OR you can do a NEW GAME + and have access to all of them from the start, but i am not that kind of guy who plays again the same game over and over after beating it).

2: The challenge curve is... strange.
The first fight is "WTF has just happened? How am i suppose to defeat this boss?"
From the second one till mid-game is "ok, it will be hard, but i know i will retry at least 5 or more times this battle in order to beat this boss".
Then from the second half of the game you HAVE to break the game system in order to beat the bosses (always if you want to keep playing the game because they are too hard and broken) BUT when you do so, the challenge curve starts to fall down and the last 5-7 bosses of the game was "press here to insta-kill", at least for me.
I wish the game challenge curve was completely reversed. easy in the early game and pretty steep in the final parts.

But in the end I need to sum up all the game experience and i think is a solid 8,5/9 out of 10.

Story 5/5. You will remember it for sure after months.
Gameplay 5/5. Similar gameplay system of Octopath, which i love.
Post-game: does not exists (except if you like to use new game + mechanics). Don't get me wrong on this point. There is no post-game, but is ok, i feel like the main game is enough to enjoy this Bravely Default 2, but a little post-game content would have been that cherry to pick that point and a half to bring this game to a 10 / 10.

Had not played JRPG's in a while but this was good return to format for me.
Some aspects i would have liked to be a bit less grindy but it overall things were fine when paced correctly.
Story was doing its best to keep things a mistery until its time change things up, and that included a few moments of "oh, thats why". And while the overall situation was a good vs evil, quite few moments go into the grayzone.
The job system worked pretty well, and while i gravitated towards what worked for me there were many options for customization.
The art style felt a bit unusual at the start but i ended up liking it quite a bit.
Music was nice a bit limited as the same melody with small variation was reused several times to account for the current theme of the worlds region.

Technical items:
The game does not have playstation controller icons by default but they can be easily modded in.
Suprisingly even tho game is using unreal engine there were no real drawbacks noticable due to this.

Esta manita será positiva cuando Square deje de traer juegos como Octopath o FF Tactics sin traducir al castellano.

Por lo demás, el juego está en línea de su primera entrega en Nintendo 3DS (aunque me ha gustado menos). Es un FF Clásico modernizado, con la salvedad de la cantidad inmensa de relleno que arrastra, que llegado a un punto pasas de las secundarias y te haces la historia del tirón. Los gráficos deslucen el buen diseño artístico con modelados UE4 que parecen de bajo presupuesto y muy artificiales. La banda sonora es espectácular, y la narrativa va de menos a más: un bello cuento de hadas.

Estaría dispuesto a jugar una tercera entrega de esta saga si el apartado gráfico lo hacen más llamativo, al estilo Persona, y no se dedican a hacer modelador genéricos en Unreal Engine.

(거의 김밥천국 느낌 )
선택장애가 심하게 오는데 그중 2개직업을 메인과 서브로 골라서 하는게임
일단 재미는 있습니다 기본난이도로 깼는데 딱히 공략없어도 무리없이 깰수있고
내가 예전 파판류에 익숙하다 싶으면 하드모드로 도전해도 갠찮을거 같습니다

Bravely Default II: Brave Enough to Waste Your Time

Chapter 3 hits like a brick to the face — backstabbing, cult nonsense, dragons, fairies, and enough whiplash to qualify as a medical condition. It’s genuinely shocking in places, and for a moment you think, *Oh. Oh no. This might actually be good.* The story becomes a roller coaster thriller that finally wakes up and starts throwing punches.

And then it keeps going. And going. And going. This is where the game reveals its true form: an aggressively tedious RPG that mistakes repetition for depth and cycles for cleverness. Chapters 1 through 4 awaken the crystals. Chapters 5, 6, and 7? Do it again. But sadder. And longer. And with less payoff.

WHY AM I COLLECTING THE CRYSTALS AGAIN IN CHAPTER FIVE?! WE ALREADY DID THIS! I CAN USE SPECIALS! WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME?!

The constant doubling back — revisiting towns, reawakening crystals, retreading narrative ground — feels eerily similar to *Tales of Arise*, except without that game’s momentum or combat speed to soften the blow. It’s padding masquerading as structure.

Then Chapter 4 happens.

You fight the shadow assassin. She escapes. Rage ensues. Alcohol may or may not have been involved. Recording was not an option because YouTube would absolutely nuke the channel from orbit — but the real crime here is narrative blue-balling. Why couldn’t I finish the shadow assassin with the mommy milkers? Let me have closure.

You do the puzzle afterward… and then mommy milkers shows up *again*. Incredible.
Then the game pulls its signature move: *psych!* You didn’t actually beat the bed-bag guy. The aftershock reveals that one of your party member’s sisters is now the endgame boss. Surprise! Hope you weren’t emotionally stable.

As I’ve gotten older, my love for turn-based RPGs has faded in favor of action RPGs. **Bravely Default II didn’t reinvent the genre**, but it did remind me why I used to love it — *sometimes*. The job system is still compelling. Customizing characters, leveling jobs, mixing abilities — that part scratches a very specific itch.

On PC, the game looks gorgeous. Environments are lush and colorful, lighting is excellent, and performance is silky smooth. The character models? Less impressive. But the environmental eye candy carries hard. And yes — I’m glad I didn’t play this on Switch or 3DS.

Now let’s talk endings. Because *boy* does this game want you to see them.

*First Ending (Bad):* Finish Chapter 5, beat Edna, roll credits.
* Second Ending (Also Bad):* Reload, leave instead of fighting, go to the Fairy Village, fight Nexus.

* True Ending:* Get *all 24 jobs* (21 story, 3 secret), reload again, find new paths, fight the final boss *again* in a new endgame scenario.
* Prologue Ending (Missable):* Beat Adam in the prologue and end the game immediately.
That’s right. You can end the game before it starts. Honestly? Tempting.

There’s also a *glitch that randomly removes your clothes* depending on job changes. It’s annoying, immersion-breaking, and makes serious scenes look like cosplay malfunctions.

I saw both bad endings. I am *not* jumping through hoops for the true ending — especially not after learning I’d have to **beat a boss locked behind a card game**. No. Absolutely not.

The card game is awful.
The best part? *You are REQUIRED to play it* to unlock a job needed for the real ending. RNG-based wins, lose and it’s a GAME OVER, straight back to the title screen. INFURIATING doesn’t even begin to describe it.

At this point, the story starts falling apart hard after Musa. The core issue? The game can’t decide whether the *player* exists in the narrative or not.

The first ending implies reloading the save is what gives the party a vision — until the book suddenly shows the future for no reason, with zero consequences. The second ending immediately breaks that rule. The characters don’t question it. They don’t try again. They don’t react.

Then the Nexus is saved over. Cool idea. Totally unexplored. Everyone just shrugs and moves on.

If the player isn’t a fixture, none of this works. And if the player *is* a fixture, the game refuses to acknowledge it.

Elvis and Adelle’s character growth? Retconned. Gone. Meaningless.

I love this game — *but it absolutely collapses under its own ambition*. The writers chased five ideas and caught none of them.

Locations are visually varied and interesting, but dungeon design is dreadful. Everything feels like procedurally generated corridors with a theme slapped on. Budget limitations show. Nothing memorable. Nothing clever.

The job system is the most intriguing part of the game — deep customization, synergy, experimentation. But the story is lackluster. Characters are bland. Amnesia plots appear out of nowhere. Boss design is atrocious: random counter percentages that punish you for bringing the “wrong” job.

That’s not skill-based gameplay. That’s trial-and-error nonsense.

Grinding is mandatory. Overworld battles are long. Side quests are fetch quests stretched into endurance tests — walk here, talk, walk back, talk, walk again, talk again. This game found a way to make fetch quests *worse* than usual.

*Hell no, I don’t recommend this game.*
*4 out of 10.*

Having to do random side quests — especially *that* card game — just to see the “real” ending is unacceptable. And the payoff? A nothing-burger ending that doesn’t justify the suffering.

That said — I didn’t mind the equipment system. Weirdly. It scratched that lizard-brain RPG itch of gearing up in new towns. And yes, like most RPGs, it starts slow — but the story did enough heavy lifting early on to keep me going.

Still:

* It’s grindy.
* It’s boring.
* It lacks charm.
* And originality is in short supply.

Three endings just to see teammates die or survive? Honestly, I’d rather pick the ending where the fairies die and lose a teammate. Not everyone deserves a happy ending — and that feels more honest.

JRPG的标准，养成神作。

战斗机制灵活，可以自由对敌对己变群体，即使完全抛开BP系统（高难战都成debuff了），加上这build简直能玩出花：24种职业任选一主一副，生效两者主动及主职特性，另外可插5栏被动，再加上大后期试炼之门掉的终极武器装备后携带职业全部被动，由此可以搭配出爆转输出或千奇百怪，比如常见的全体化AOE流敌人越多伤害越强完全不惧清怪，或者强控流先动100%麻痹再动接着麻，或者献祭队友流砍敌一刀砍翻队友再动。等等等等，完全体build困难难度的隐藏挑战真龙都不够打的，完全可以再加一个难度的。

关于剧情：很传统的jrpg流程，“平常”少年路遇公主，展开大冒险，没什么反转，两段坏结局后对大团圆的坚持追求让游戏圆满收官。另外两位队友设计的是真棒，亚黛拉的大大咧咧和艾维斯的洒脱不羁都让人观感良好，感情线隐隐约约自然流露。反派就很明显的好就是好坏就是坏，好人全活互动一堆，坏人死的干脆，有些死太快了其个人背景都没机会了解……

关于肝度：RPG有不刷的？以困难难度为例，前期需要趁老头在的时候先刷满凡人和白魔，凡人的被动是练职业提速的核心，白魔被动则是所有高难战斗的必备，大后期加上武僧的HP倍增，才能保证不会被一轮4动的伤害秒掉（所以那些呐呐被秒的都是不上保命技能的）。中期基本不用刷，搭配好队伍配置，有白魔撑血有诗人唱buff，看好弱点注意截击就不难。后期开启试炼后需要刷一下以通过试炼，勇者试炼打过就可以在任意试炼开心刷JP球了，唱满buff全体化震脚一轮搞定。全成就太肝了要刷满图鉴，武器掉率实在坑。

关于迷宫：跟着主线支线走，迷宫才会去。迷宫的问题是太迷了，很容易绕晕，如果不是想全图鉴的话可以放弃找宝箱，往任务方向走就得了。同样的问题反映在跑路上，不看地图也会跑晕，只有主城传送，好在大地图也不大。

J’ai énormément apprécié le jeu, comme tous les Bravely Default.
Dommage qu’il n’y ait que celui-ci actuellement sur Steam, car ce fut malgré tout un vrai plaisir du début à la fin.

Les seuls points que j’ai un peu moins aimés concernent les mini-défis de cartes et le manque de charisme d’Adam.
Hormis cela, tout le reste était très plaisant à faire : le gameplay, les combats, la progression… un régal.

Je recommande sans hésiter aux fans de JRPG et de la licence.

I am not continuing my playthrough of Bravely Deafult 2 simply because the game is seriously lacking in many categories for me. Due to frustrating level spikes (especially bosses), tedious grinding for job leveling, regular grinding for exp seems literally useless, unengaging story and characters, removal of quality of life features, repetitive dungeon design, and the overall feeling that this game is just dragging on with no real filler or story that keeps me focused and wanting to continue, this game is far less magical than it's predecessors. I am 12 hours into the game and there hasn't been one thing that makes me want to waste my life playing this game anymore.

+ Bosses are hardcore level spikes which require hours and hours of grinding to beat and even then it doesn't feel worth it because your characters still feel very under powered which honestly feels like a HUGE design flaw.

+ Job grinding is very very very tedious and still feels unrewarding after you do it and a massive time sink I am not invested to do especially with how weak the campaign is.

+ Repetitive dungeons and poor designs that are just large mazes not worthy of exploring due to lack of items to be discovered and making exploration feel boring and a huge chore.

+ The overall battle system is just boring and broken and not worth the grind it takes to make it engaging to play.

+ The characters are just lame to be honest and instead of the past games where you remember the characters these just seem more like a joke and bland. Even the characters that get added to the party are weak except for one which I wont name because I dont want to spoil the game for anyone. Peace be unto him!

+ The story of the game is weak! Very weak! Everything about is less than mediocre and just too predictable.

+ The excessive length of the game is just unbearable do to it's lack luster and to go back to the story being just bland and not memorable makes the length of the game play seriously not worth your time.

Overall this game needs a serious overhaul! Compared to the other titles in this series this game just did not hit the mark and falls short in too many categories for me to keep playing.

Se você jogou BD1 e BS, saiba que o jogo é muito diferente. As mecânicas clássicas de brave, default e job system se mantém, mas só isso mesmo.

Os personagens não são carismáticos, não constroem uma relação que nem os primeiros jogos, suas histórias e personalidades são rasas... assim como a história.

A narrativa do jogo é desinteressante e básica, e sinceramente, não existe até uma certa parte (ahem, 30hrs de jogo depois). Depois disso fica razoável, mas nada que compense o tempo gasto.

Como dito, as mecânicas clássicas de Bravely Default se mantém, algumas bossfights são legais, outras péssimas. A progressão de nível do jogo deixa a desejar (job e lvl system).

Além disso, eu particularmente acho o estilo de arte e modelos feios. Nos primeiros jogos tinha o charme, mas aqui parece jogo mobile. Os cenários são bonitos, pelo menos.

Eu joguei esperando que fosse uma experiência similar com os primeiros jogos, com personagens que você ama, são engraçados ou misteriosos ou legais de se ver na tela. Aqui não tem nada disso. A única coisa que se mantém é a qualidade das músicas, Revo é incrível e acertou em cheio aqui assim como acertou em Bravely Default.

非常にシンプルで遊びやすく、面白いJRPGであった。
ただこれをプレイした上で前作をやるより前作をやってからこれをやったほうが楽しめると思います。

良かった点
グラフィックは綺麗でありロードも早く精密な絵本の世界を冒険しているようであった
ジョブシステム、バトルのテンポの良さ、この二つのおかげで特にストレスなく育成することができた
ブレイブリーデフォルトシリーズ特有の演出　いつものやつです。

僕達がDQ,FFと共に育ったように、この作品のナンバリングと共に成長する子どもがいるのと思うと　それは素敵なことなのかもしれない。

全体的に面白かったです！

戦闘システムが特に面白く、何時間でも遊べます！

編成をいじるときにいちいちアビリティを外さないといけないく、編成を記録せることができないのやマップ上で街にテレポートできない点など不便はありましたがこれは意図的な不便だと思います。

旅の面倒さや編成を考えることの楽しさ、マップワープができない分マップが小さくワープができるところは入り組んでいるので旅の不便さというのが癖になる人もいるかと思えるくらいの不便さです。

前作をやっていた身としては召喚獣系のジョブがなかったのが寂しいくらいでストーリーとしては良い王道をくらったなと思いました。絶賛今ロス中です！

「オススメする」か「オススメしない」かの選択を迫られて5分くらい悩んだ末に消極的に選んだオススメするなため、この作品の各所に見られる「王道[strike] （の名を隠れ蓑にした各種仕様上の手抜き） [/strike]」を敢えてやっている部分が受け入れらない人には本当に低評価になりうる作品だと思われる。

[h1]物語（５段階中３） [/h1]
先に書いた通り「勧善懲悪」「因果応報」を主軸として描かれているストーリーなのだが...　なんというか「それだけ」のストーリーで終わってしまっている...全体的に非常に味気ない。起伏の乏しいストーリーであったと感じる。
じゃあつまらないかと言われると「レトロJRPG王道のストーリーはこういうものと言われたらそうだしな...最初からそういうつもりではいたし...」という感想になるため可もなく不可もなく...という評価になる。
終盤の展開だけはちゃんと楽しかった。

[b]物語そのものの全体的な流れ [/b]
恐らく作品を通して「人殺し（間接的含む）を働く者は、回り回って自分も誰かに殺される」が徹底されている作風なのだが、物語の起承転結が「悪人が我欲を満たすために人々を犠牲したので懲らしめました。悪人は主人公たちとは関係無い所で因果応報または自業自得で死にました」を延々繰り返すだけである。
「王道」的な展開に縛られた結果、同じような起承転結しか描けなくなった自縄自縛を感じとれた

[b]人間描写 [/b]
はっきり言って滅茶苦茶希薄。と言うか半ば放棄してるに等しい。主人公一行は４名とも精神的に非常に成熟しており全員がストーリー開始時から「協調性◎」「責任感◎」「行動力◎」ともう完成されている。つまり成長の余地が無く、プレイヤーはただただ彼らが「やるべき事を文句の一つもなくやっていく」様をただ見るだけになる。うーん...退屈。
では敵はどうか。敵は敵で凄い。一部を除き、敵は悪という大前提で描かれてしまっているため「悪い奴が身勝手な論理で悪辣な事をしている」でしかない。そして話も通じないので「勧善懲悪」で倒されるだけである。
これらをまとめると「主人公たちは既に人間的に完成されているため成長描写する余地がほぼ無く、敵も描写が控えられてたりただ単に悪として描かれているだけなため人間ドラマ的な掛け合いが作中に存在しない」となっている。
「王道」的な善悪二分のストーリーに縛られた結果、登場人物たちの「成長」を描けなくなってしまった自縄自縛を感じとれた

[h1]ゲームシステム（５段階中３） [/h1]
ブレイブリーシリーズでは見知ったシステムではあるが、相変わらずかぁ...が感想だった
[b]ブレイブ＆デフォルトシステム　+　ジョブシステム [/b]
ブレイブリーシリーズの売りであると同時に、常に課題を抱え続けるはめになるシステム。個人的には以下の欠陥を抱えていると思っている
・序盤はただの苦行
・中盤以降は基本ヌルゲー
・唐突に現れるメタ構成による詰み

順番に説明しよう

[b]序盤はただの苦行 [/b]
ジョブシステムのおさらいだが「ジョブは集めるほど組み合わせでの選択肢が増える」仕様がある
だが序盤はジョブは多くて２～３個しかなく、習得可能なアビリティにシナジーがあることなど極めて稀。付け加えれば最序盤から手持ちのジョブレベルを最大まで上げること自体相当な努力を要するため、プレイヤーは当面の間何の補正も乗らない「たたかう」とリソースを消費する「低級魔法」以外の戦闘手段を持たないことになる。

そしてブレイブシステムは「最大４回行動可能」「行動権を前借することもできる（前借した分次のターン以降動けないターンが発生する）」が基本仕様としてある訳だが...
ブレイブリーデフォルト2の最序盤の敵は「すっぴんのたたかう×４」でギリ倒せるか否かのHPが設定されている。つまり「先々3ターン動けなくなるリスクを取っても倒し切れるか微妙」なラインで耐久設定がされており、一歩間違うと1戦だけで壊滅級の被害を受けることもある。
行動不能のリスクを踏まずに毎ターン1回行動で安全に戦えばいい？実はそれが被害が拡大する戦い方である。「すっぴんのたたかう×４」で倒せるという事は3回は耐えられる＝3回相手の行動機会を与えるのと同義なため、その分ダメージを食らい続けることになる。この例だと1vs1で考えたが、実際には味方4vs敵不特定数になるためよりブレイブによる行動回数配分を意識しないといけない。
ただの雑魚敵で滅茶苦茶に神経をすり減らし、壊滅のリスクに怯えながら一戦を終える。戦闘が終わったらすぐに安全圏に逃げ込み宿屋に泊まるなり回復アイテムを使ってお金がカツカツになる。それがブレイブリーシリーズの序盤戦闘である。

BPをあらかじめ増やす手段もデフォルトで行動放棄する以外にないため、とてもではないが「スムーズな戦闘」などというものはブレイブリーシリーズの序盤戦闘には存在しない。

[b]中盤以降は基本ヌルゲー [/b]
一転して中盤以降になると「ジョブ数に伴い選択肢も増加」「ジョブ間のアビリティのシナジーで掛け算レベルでのパワーアップ」「アビリティによるBP自給手段の拡充」「ステ向上 / 装備やアビリティによる物理攻撃手段への大幅な補正」などにより、特化構成にすればたたかう１～２発で敵1体を倒せるようになってくる。
こうなると雑魚敵は何も考えずにフルブレイブから殴ればすぐに倒せるため雑魚狩りが大幅に捗る。雑魚狩りが捗ればジョブ育成も捗る。ジョブ育成が捗ればさらなる戦力増強が出来る。
加えて、恐らく開発も「ブレイブ＆デフォルトとジョブのシナジーを上手く使えてないと難易度が桁違いに上がる」ということをは理解しているらしく、そこかしこに救済手段が用意されている。すっぴんのたいあたり然り、ドーピングアイテムのドロップ仕様然り。
これらの救済手段を利用して大幅にPTの増強が出来るのもこの頃からであり、使える物を全部使っていくと「雑魚戦は全体化した戦うでワンパン。ボスはたいあたりでハメる」で全て済むようになってしまい途端に退屈なヌルゲーが始まってしまう。

[b]唐突に現れるメタ構成による詰み [/b]
救済措置用のアビリティや一部能力のゴリ押しで全編クリア出来てしまったらそれはそれでゲーム体験を損ねるため、そういった手合いを咎めるためのボスを用意するのも分かると言えば分かるのだがあまりにもあからさまな対策を積んだボスが結構な数いるので「そもそも救済措置ありきで調整する難易度設計」をどうにかするべきなんじゃないかと思う。

[b]個人的な付記 [/b]
個人的にはシステムは好き。中盤以降のヌルゲー化も自分の稼ぎの努力の結果と受け止めてるので別に嫌ではない。
じゃあ何が嫌かと言うと「最序盤からシステムフル活用のギリギリの難易度設計を挑んでる癖に、オーバースペックな救済要素を仕込み、かつ後からそれを自分らでメタりに行くというマッチポンプのちぐはぐさ」がその内致命的にゲーム体験を阻害するんじゃないかと気をもんでいる。

[h1]レベルバランス（５段階中２） [/h1]
戦闘面に関しては上のゲームシステムについてで触れたのでここでは割愛する。
正直ここで評価を一つ下げている理由は戦闘方面ではない。

[b]ダンジョンの構造がただただ不快[/b]
この一点が本当に許せない。他の不満要素は「まぁ王道[strike] （の名を隠れ蓑にした各種仕様上の手抜き） [/strike]があるであろうことを覚悟して買った身から考えれば許容範囲」と言えたが、ダンジョンの構造と周辺仕様は全力で拒否させていただく。

[b] 結局全部ただの迷路 [/b]
ダンジョンなんてどこのゲームでも大体全部迷路みたいなもんだろ？と思った貴方は非常に賢い。その通り。世に存在するゲームのダンジョンなんて大体は迷路形式になっている。
じゃあブレイブリーデフォルト2のダンジョンの何がそんなに許せないかと言うと「どのダンジョンもギミックが存在しない」「枝分かれと行き止まりが沢山生えてるだけで、結局一番奥まで進む道がゴール」というなんの捻りもない構造が最序盤から最終版までずーーーーーーっと繰り返される。ノイローゼにする気か。
では、唯一ギミックがあった飛空艇の昇降機切り替えギミックは満足したか？いいや？むしろあそこがストレスのピークまである。
ブレイブリーデフォルト2のダンジョンが何一つ面白くなかった原因は単一の原因なのではなく、複合的な問題なので後述する。

[b] 足が遅い [/b]
上でも書いた通りこのゲームのダンジョンは何の面白みも無いただのダンジョンだ。それを更に退屈にしているのが主人公の足の遅さ。
無戦闘で全て正解ルートを駆け抜けたとしても入口からゴールまで５分程度ずっと操作する羽目になる。距離が長いんだからせめて足を速くしろ。
昇降機ギミックが一番ストレスだったと言ったな？行ったり来たりをこの足の遅さで何度もやらされてみろ。しかも初見だとどの昇降機のON/OFFを弄れば目的の場所まで辿り着けるかを長々移動しながら試行錯誤するのだ。普通に舌打ちが出るくらいイライラさせられた。

[b] ミニマップが無い [/b]
なぜかダンジョン内にはミニマップが無い。意味が分からない。
先に言及した迷路構造もそうだが、やたら入り組んだ構造にしたがる癖にそこに対する救済要素は皆無なのである。意味が分からない。
サブクエ等でダンジョン内でマーカーが付与されても、ミニマップもなければ距離も分からないので、近くにあることを祈って中継ワープに飛び込むかスタートからマラソン開始をするしかない。意味が分からない。
あれだけ退屈かつ不快なマップ構造してるんだから、ミニマップがなければやってられないのはすぐ気づくと思うのだがなぜ実装しなかったのか。意味が分からない。

まぁ実のところこのダンジョン周り以外は特にレベルバランスについて不満はない。戦闘は序盤の雑魚が苦行だっただけで途中からは雑魚戦もボス戦も楽しかったし。
しいていえば過去作でいうところの各種魔王みたいなチャレンジボス的な相手が全然いないところか[strike] 一応１体はいるが魔王を経験してる身からするとアレ一体で満足するかと言われるとちょっとね... [/strike]

- Only 4 permanent companions — a bit disappointing, since I started the game thinking I could recruit new members later.
- Dozens of jobs (classes).
- Each character can equip 2 jobs (freely switchable).
- Each character can equip 5 passive abilities from any job they’ve unlocked (this part is my favorite).
- Full voice-over (except side quests, of course).

Overall, even if this game were released in 2025, it would still meet modern JRPG standards.

Lastly, my favorite part of the story is the Rimedhal chapter — the overall plot isn’t very engaging, though.

第一次玩到剧情这么枯燥公式化的游戏...对比之下连八方1都显得秀色可餐。游戏性方面转职的框架还是很有意思的，但乱七八糟的填充物有些显得扫兴。职业和技能太多给开荒带来了不少理解障碍，但深究起来又没什么特别有意思的bd，多半是单纯数值怪撑门面而已且游戏里也看不到伤害公式，扣大分。打起架来五花多门的反击技实在是给人上压力，动不动被敌方四动一回合秒有点难绷。地图做的又大又绕又空，宝箱里面装的全是废物，小怪又多又强堪称负面教科书。BD的系统我给差评，高难度开荒时挫败感很强，八方就把这点改善成了爽游以降低门槛。结局演出意外很不错但我满脑子都是这几个弱智赶紧走完场面我急着卸游戏。成就图鉴简直不是人开的，为了打这个弱智白金我刷了十个小时的试炼回廊，硬是不给我掉东西真的红温了。

Something very clearly not well made or rushed even, hardly put a dent in it before I could clearly recognize it would be a waste of my time. UI feels/looks bad, have to mash buttons sometimes to get functions to work, clunky movement, cutting grass is a static animation that stops movement.

Bravely Default as a series stole my heart. I've always been a fan of class Turn-Based RPG's and this one is to this day, still on the top of my list as a MUST Play.

My hope for a third still holds true in my heart but even if it doesn't I can still come back and play them.

Get Bravely Default 1 - its infinitely better.

Reasons for this review:
- tutorial spam (and no option to disable)
- skip button doesnt work for the first 5 minutes
- mobile game UI
- probably a backport from mobile/DS
- very limited options
- horrible gameplay compared to 1
- even worse story compared to 1
- just bad execution. the first town has so many corners you get stuck on, bad translations, bad system setups etc. this feels like a mixture between "can i copy your homework" (from BD1) as well as "meh, i dont care". the first 15 minutes of a game should hit you like a truck, they should blow you away, not show you the promise of failure that awaits you for the next HOURS.

sadly this is a perfect example of not caring enough to make a good sequel.

I am sorry that I have to write this review, but Bravely Default 2 is just... not a good game.

First off, the Story, it is passable at best if you are being generous. For it being a Jrpg it is outright subpar. Half the party might as well not exist, the stories lack emotion behind them and are just the most standard stuff you can imagine.

But hey, there is the combat still, right? After all, Bravely default had a quite fun combat system, nothing exceptional, but it was fun. Well, Bravely, Default 2 does not have that. There is way too much job grinding and not even really an incentive to do so. Why is that, you might ask. Well see, Bravely default 2, even on its hardest difficulty, is embarrassingly easy.

And I do not mean ''Oh, I found this one broken combo early on'', I mean ''Oh hey, I got one physical job to level 12 and now have won the entire game''. And not even later jobs. Make a party of 4 Vanguards (one of the earliest classes) and you have just solved every single boss fight until the late game. Make 4 thieves and bosses don't even get to attack you anymore... not that they really do with vanguards.

Now, in the very end game there might be harder bosses but if I need to play over 30 hours for the combat system to start mattering than I want something else to tide me over in the meantime.

Which hey, is actually the case for quite a few Jrpg's but as I already said earlier, the story is the absolute bare minimum for a Jrpg and feels like nothing more than an obligation the developers put in because they had to.
