There is no adult patch. All links for patches on dev website are dead links and dev does not respond to attempts to contact. So basically, as it is, this is a porn game with no porn content. Honestly needs to be delisted. Refunded.
Вот я не особо люблю играть в хентай-игры, которые выходили в Steam до 2019 года, потому что перед игрой у вас всегда будет какой-то геморрой с контентом 18+. Естественно, что 90% всех обзоров на эту игру написаны в 2017/18 году, когда DLC18+ было доступно всем (отсюда у игры и “очень положительные” отзывы). Но после 2019 года (когда разработчики с кем-то объединились или поменяли студию) все их DLC18+ удалились. И начиная с 2019 года, их оценка со 100% начала немного сползать. Но так как игра не особо популярная, то оценки сползают очень медленно.
Так как это в первую очередь хентай-игра, то без хентай-контента в этой новелле будет вырезано примерно 20-30% сюжета и прочих приблуд (а может и больше). Эта новелла с выбором, так что каждый ваш выбор влияет на то, на какой рут вы будете выходить. Концовок в игре много, и все концовки самостоятельно пройти довольно сложно. Хорошо, что в руководствах есть способ, как получить все ачивки и выйти на все концовки. Если не особо часто прибегать к “скипу”, то один рут занимает примерно 4 часа. А вот если у вас отсутствует знание английского, то игру можно проскипать минут за 15.
Я добавил эту игру в свой список желаемого только из-за красивого визуала и контента 18+. Но, увы, играть пришлось без второго. Если бы я знал, что DLC18+ не существует с 2019 года, то я бы игру в свой список желаемого не добавлял. И очень странно, что проблемы у всех возникли именно с этой игрой. Потому что в других играх от разработчиков скачать контент 18+ не проблема. Новелла-то мне понравилась… Но вот отсутствие контента 18+ естественно потянуло положительную оценку вниз.

Если сравнивать между собой продукты этой студии, то эта визуальная новелла получает заслуженное второе место, уступив только Negligee.
In Battle Girls, you play as a man named Takiro that has just arrived as a pilot at a Mech academy where you square off in 6 rounds of battles accompanied with one of three beautiful co-pilots. There are a number of dialog choices that allow you to hook up with your co-pilots resulting in 3 regular endings plus 3 additional paths that open up after completing the game.
The overarching story doesn't make a whole ton of sense; somehow the success of these battles will "save the economy" for your "poor nation" -- whatever that's supposed to mean. It's never explored but it doesn't really matter. The real story is about Takiro's interactions with the cuties in the academy. And I was smiling pretty much throughout the entire story. I just found the girls to be so cute and whichever route you take, they all adore Takiro and ultimately just want to jump his bones. A blind playthrough isn't all that long; I'd say somewhere around 2 hours, depending on how many choices you want to retry. I finished everything up, using a guide after the first route, and took up around 6 hours.
MAJOR PROBLEM!
There is an adult patch somewhere out there but as of this writing (Dec. 6, 2021), it has gone the way of the dodo. I scrounged the interwebs and and just couldn't find it. The links on the official Dharker Studios website are dead. The link from uncensorpat.ch is dead. I *did* find a couple links that went to a patch but unfortunately it was for the 1.4 patch, which is incompatible with the latest version of the game on Steam (it crashes real early) -- the patch was re-released, but who has it and where it is, I have no idea. Trying to download earlier versions of Battle Girls via the Steam console didn't work for me either; none of the older versions were found.
I don't recommend this game without the adult content since hooking up with these hotties is really what this game is all about and given that the art really is pretty good; you're absolutely going to want the naughty version. The original, uncensored version can be found elsewhere and that's where I recommend you go, at least until (if ever) Dharker Studios releases the patch again. It's a shame really, since Battle Girls really is cute and fun to play.
DLC for adult patch not available through steam and no adult content in this game otherwise. Only played game for 3.6 hrs for trading cards and achievements.
Routes were nice and having many of them was appreciated. I think I favored Akiko the most. With the patch, you only get scenes where the girls are revealed with text for the actual H-scene. There isn't any animations and you never see a male part. This was disappointing to me. Still a solid game, though I would buy it on sale.

A short, mecha fighting story with some romance options brought to you by the Dharker Studios.
You were chosen as a mecha pilot to represent your nation in an international competition. Just to be clear, there is no mecha action here, it's pure VN. You have several battles to go through and multiple choices to reach one of many endings. While the VN is relatively short, to complete all scenarios will likely double the length so it's not bad. Your choice will also influence if and who will you end up with. Writing quality is acceptable but there is not enough character development here. No real heroines' backgrounds or motivations present. Also, the main character was left as a blank slate, no sprite, no face, little to none personality. There are some slip ups and inconsistencies, e.g. wrong names used or story referring to events that did not occur due to the previous choices. Still, I enjoyed it more than expected from low budget VNs. One of better VNs from this developer.
Art is about average. Character sprites feel too western despite the anime style. As a fan of Japanese anime art I feel tepid about it. Not enough details or variety to rank it higher than average. Backgrounds are probably the best art wise. For a budget title it is acceptable. At least number of CGs is higher than typical.
Music is fine. Nothing memorable but tracks fit well with the events. I can't recognise any of the tracks so all were done specifically for this game. I've played quite a few of other Dharker titles so I should be able to notice that.
No bugs encountered.
To conclude, we were served a relatively short mecha action story with simple romance options and multiple endings. Music and art are ok considering the budget. I liked it more than my expectations prior to digesting it. Can recommend but wait for sale: 5.6/10

Although advertised as a 2D battle game, Battle Girls is just a visual novel. The entire game consists of clicking through dialogue screens, sometimes making choices that will impact the story going forward. Even the mech battles are only that: you’ll have to select the right combat tactic three times in a dialogue menu to win a battle.

You play as Takiro, a handsome country boy, who has been selected by his (unnamed) home country to represent them in the ‘New War’ - an international competition using piloted battle robots fighting in arena’s. Arriving at the institute, you’re paired with three female co-pilots. As you gear up to defend your country, you’ll also have the opportunity to date your co-pilots, your mechanic or even the head of the institute. There are 3 different endings for the main story available, as well as 9 different endings based on your romantic choices.

As visual novels go, it’s OK: everything works as it should and there is some challenge to be had in achieving all of the different endings. It’s hardly a 2D battle game however, or a game at all. Writing is decent enough and even funny at times, albeit fairly minimalistic. The game is also short: [spoiler]an intro, five days with a battle and a date with your pilot afterwards, a final battle and an epilogue[/spoiler]. A single playthrough won’t take you more than half an hour.

Don’t buy Battle Girls if you’re looking for a 2D battle game; it clearly isn’t that. For this fake advertising, I’m not recommending it. As a visual novel/dating sim, it meets the bar, but only just so. The devs clearly know how to cater to their audience, but they didn’t put a lot of love into this product. If you want to try it out, I’d advise waiting for a sale.

I've no idea how much I paid but the price I see while I'm writing this review it's way too high. Also I've no idea how it could have such good reviews ratio. The game itself is boring as hell. The only positives are steam point shop items(backgrounds) and the girls if You are a big weeb and can endure boring arena fights and plot. It has many endings and dialogue options change outcome. Still I doubt You'll be interested in the plot to find every ending by Yourself. Using community guide for achievs and endings doesn't help the fact that the story is boring. The artstyle isn't great and it doesn't add up with the game price. If You get it really cheap then I guess You could buy it for backgrounds and easy achievs if You're not interested in that then I'd say it's not worth Your time and money.
Not only is this a dating sim with cute girls but the battles can be difficult so you actually have to think before you act. I recommend this game!
I like most of Dharker Studio games but I just don't get the setting in this one. I don't dislike mecha stuff, but somehow this mixed with adult content doesn't work for me. I was just bored most of the time and tired of all of these fights.

There is an issue where you most likely wont be able to get all the achievements due to a bug with steam. Other than this annoyingly stupid issue the game it's self is a pretty good dating simulator and I rather enjoyed the different outcomes.
I just randomly downloaded this "game" because I saw the combo of cute cartoon girls and mechs. Well, it turns out it's not even a game. It's just a series of pictures and some text. You don't actually play anything. This is as much garbage as it can get.

It seems the last few have gotten shorter and less choices but Battle Girls was well worth the price and while not a long game it was medium length perhaps 3-4 hours with 6 good endings and 6 bad endings. The art is fantastic as always and the story more involved with many more choices and some figuring out of what works, though after learning the choices it is fairly easy and quick to do subsequent playthroughs.
I consider this one of of my favorite 3 Dharker Studios games along with Club Life and the original Beach Bounce, the other bounce games not being nearly as good, Summer Fling also not being bad though shorter in length, and the other games I have played while not being bad per se, and all having great artwork just either are very short, do not as many choices and making one lose interest faster, or just not being as interesting in story. I hope they continue to make more games and a sequel to Battle Girls would be fun for sure.
In the end its an ecchi visual novel, and isn't groundbreaking but is a solid offering for what it is, I recommend it to those who enjoy the genre as I do many (though not all) of Dharker Studios games.

First off, if I could give this a mixed review, I would. This is a fun visual novel, despite being fairly short. The characters are likeable, the mech battles are fun, and it was a treat to play through each route.
The problems arise when it comes to the technical details. Things like typos are almost inevitable in any visual novel, but the given the relative shortness of this game, there seem to be just a few too many to be given a pass. Also, sometimes the text references something else (meeting someone in your room and the text says you hug in the mech suit, which clearly isn't happening). Finally, the character images and backgrounds are sometimes off. If you screw up in a fight, your companion's outfit will get a little damaged, but if you choose correctly, sometimes it will show them as damaged and a few seconds later in the fight their outfit will be undamaged again. In one fight, the background image of the enemy mech actually changed to that of a different mech for a few lines then swapped back.
For the length of the game and the price, the amount of technical issues I noticed just really started to add up and detracted from the overall experience. This is absolutely worth picking up on a sale, but otherwise, the lack of polish really puts a damper on the game.

This one's pretty good as far as the genre goes, the genre being simple-ish short VNs. There's a ton of choices, plenty of routes, R18 patch available (if that's your thing) and it's well made as far as the background and character art goes.
The story isn't going to blow you away, but at least the setting is interesting.

Battle Girls is a science fiction adventure visual novel developed by Straywire and published by Dharker Studio. You take on the role of Takiro, the latest young pilot to arrive at the Academy for Battle Mech training in order to compete in the World Wide Mech Wars. Countries no longer wage war on huge battlefields with massive armies and tremendous casualties. Instead, opposing nations send trained pilots equipped with Battle Mechs into an arena where global disputes are now settled or decided through Mech combat. Will Takiro be able to secure some victories for his country and uplift their political/economic status on the world-wide stage while he maintains his studies and social life...the choice is up to you?
[h1]PRESENTATION[/h1]
This title is just as spectacularly illustrated as the rest of Dharker Studios visual novels are. There's a manga inspired art style filled with bright beautiful colors and varied backgrounds for the many locations that you visit around the training academy such as the arena, the repair bay and your dorm. The characters themselves are somewhat static but they do tend to change facial expressions quite often during dialogue so that really helps with immersion as you read. Speaking of immersion, sadly there are no ambient sound effects present but the musical score is excellent with great tracks for humorous and tension filled moments in the V.N. as well as for the exciting Mech battles that take place in the combat arena. There's also a bit of gameplay involved during the Mech combat as you must carefully choose from a number of different actions to execute as you take on an armored opponent. Make strategic attacks and win battles or issue horrible commands and endure defeat it's up to you. Overall, I would say that this novels presentation is ample. It doesn't do anything terribly but it also doesn't do anything spectacularly so average at best in this genre in my opinion.

Engaging in Mech combat and socializing with beautiful girls...what's not to like about this visual novel? The story is also enjoyable if a tad bit short but I digress. Once again Dharker Studios manages to deliver yet another quality V.N. to add to their already wonderful stable of titles. I have to say that this was a good novel but I really wish they would have opened up the story a little more because all you basically do is socialize with your co-pilots and engage in battles which is fun but it would have been nice to visit other parts of the academy a little more or the city that it resides in as well as converse with rival pilots and other students. Technically, I didn't have any issues with the V.N. other than a few typos which is typical for most visual novels. Option-wise, there are Steam Achievements and Steam Trading Cards to collect. The basic options for sound/music volume and text speed are present as usual. Also, there is D.L.C. in the form of a text guide detailing some of the routes through the game, a collection of wallpapers and Dakimakura digital images for your desktop, a set of avatars and finally the novels original soundtrack by Sam L. Jones. In conclusion, I found this V.N. to be a competent addition to the genre but there definitely is better out there but for fans of visual novels Battle Girls is RECOMMENDED.

Spillet går ut på å ta valg. Alt kommer i tekstboks og du hører ikke noen stemmer. All tekst som er lest tidligere kan spoles forbi med "S"(Skip) knappen. Som sagt all annen tekst må du trykke forbi selv etter lest eller før.
Historien er bra bygd opp og du kommer oppi en del morsomme situasjoner og valg. Personlighetene du møter på og hvordan du er med hver enkelt av dem kan være pekefinger for hvem du ender opp ilag med på slutten. For og møte/date mekanikeren må du tape dei 3 første kampene.
Husk å last ned patchen ifra Dharker Studio sine hjemmesider visst ikke Steam har fått lagt det inn etter policy changen deres. Da får man bedre naken sener.
Likte Army Girls bedre da det hadde en mørkere og bedre historie, bedre personligheter og man kunne dø på mange måter. Som eg syntes var moro da eg har en særdeles mørk humor.

Not much to say about this one. Everything, from artworks, to charcters, to story, to R18 content (which is highly recommended again, like for every Dharker Studio's game), and so on, is at least okay or for the most part above average.
Slightly overpriced for 5 hours of gameplay (for 100% completion), but done well enough to deserve a positive review though.

Battle Girls is a fun Vn to play:) Despite not bring a fan of the mech genre I still enjoyed the game. This time the game hsd Takiro the main character in the game. I found Takiro to be really funny. His inner thought's always made me laugh LOL.
The story, characters, art, backgrounds, and music are really nice. My two favorite characters are Shien and Akiko;) I really wish the game expanded in Acensia. I'm pretty sure I spelled her name wrong LOL.
I would of loved to spend more time with her. Also the harem route I wish was a bit longer too. I just felt like the harem route was a bit short,

If you played Beach Bounce its basicly the same just with different setting. Also a very annoying and scripted endings one bad choice and you get basicly nothing. Characters seems to be recycled from mentioned game and so is the borish music. At least we have quite a few "scenes" so if you have nothing to do and want to pick it up...

Da es auf Steam mittlerweile einige VisualNovels (VN) gibt und ich Abends manchmal einfach zu platt für "richtige Spiele" bin, habe ich mir einige VNs zugelegt und einige durchgespielt.
Gestern Abend habe ich mich an "Battle Girls" versucht und nach 4-5 Stunden alle Achievements freigeschaltet. Jeder Story-Durchgang (es gibt 7 unterschiedliche Ausgänge) dauert je nach Lesegeschwindigkeit entsprechend zwischen 40-60 Minuten. Die englischen Texte sind hierbei okay - es handelt sich nicht um ein preisverdächtiges Werk, Stil und Wortwahl sind jedoch keine Katastrophe und die Geschichte ist einfach "nett" erzählt.
Sie dreht sich um Takiro, einen jungen Mann, der als Soldat auf eine Akademie geschickt wird, in der junge Soldaten und Soldatinnen eine neue Art der Kriegsführung erlernen und ausführen: Mech-Duelle entscheiden nun Kriege und Konflikte, um unnötiges Blutvergießen zu vermeiden. Jedem Piloten, von denen Takiro einer ist, werden 2-3 Copiloten an die Seite gestellt, mit denen er gemeinsam seinen Mech steuert - und dies besser kann, je höher die Synchronisationswerte zwischen Pilot und Copilot sind (Pacific Rim, anyone?).
Das Spiel ist von DharkerStudios, die auf Steam bereits einige VNs mit meist erotischem Inhalt veröffenticht haben. Auch bei "Battle Girls" dreht es sich natürlich darum, eine - oder mehrere - der weiblichen Figuren in die Kiste zu bekommen.
Besonders positiv fällt hierbei auf, dass es ausnahmsweise mal kein "Vollnerd" ist, der die Chance hat, heiße Frauen abzugreifen: Takiro ist einfach ein normaler und eigentlich relativ selbstbewusster Typ. Das macht die ansich eher hanebüchene Story erträglich. Die Interaktionen mit den Mädels sind jedenfalls nett.
Die Grafiken sind übrigens selbst mit "adult patch" (auf der Seite des Entwicklers nachträglich downloadbar) eher "brav".

Langsam habe ich das eine oder andere VN hier auf Steam schon durch gespielt. Was heisst hier gespielt? Mehr oder weniger ist es lesen und ab und an mal einen Weg auswählen. Auch hier in Battle Girls hat man mehrere Wege zum Ziel. Im Grunde gibt es 12 verschiedene Endings. 5 Frauen die man beglücken kann und eine Harem Route. Zweimal kann man so richtig versagen und dreimal kann man einen Liebesweg so richtig verkacken. Und einmal als absoluter Solo nach Hause gehen. Allerdings sind nur auf den 5 Wegen um die Frauen zu beglücken neue Texte dabei, die man lesen kann. Ab dem drittem durch spielen, kann man so gut wie alles skippen und somit ist die Spielzeit relativ gering.
Battle Girls handelt von einem jungen Mann der ein Pilot für einen Mech ist. Er bekommt 3 junge Co-Pilotinnen an seine Seite, mit denen er Kämpfe bestreiten soll. Er ist erstaunt das er drei davon bekommt, aber schnell wird ihm klar, das er diese auch braucht.

Battle Girls ist eines der typischen Dharker Studio Games. Ich mag diese VN´s sehr, da sie sehr gut verständlich sind und diese teilweise lustige Szenen haben. Natürlich geht es bei diesen Games meistens ums pimpern, aber das stört mich gar nicht. Ich bin der Meinung das ist etwas natürliches und jeder der sich drüber aufregt, sollte sich vielleicht mal über etwas anderes Gedanken machen. Das Steam kein richtiges System hat, was Altersangaben angeht und das auch Kinder jedes 18er Spiel kaufen können, hat nichts mit den Spieleentwicklern zu tun.
Battle Girls ist ein gutes Hentai Game und hat dazu eine recht solide Story. Man muss natürlich auf diesen Kram stehen, ansonsten ist es recht sinnlos hier rein zu schauen, da der Preis nicht grade gerechtfertigt ist.

Отлично сделанная классическая эро-VN. Не забудьте поставить Adult Patch: здесь нечего ловить, кроме сексуальных фантазий. Авторы точно знают, в каком они жанре.
Главного героя интересно читать: он точно знает, чего хочет. :D Во всяком случае, он думает, как нормальный взрослый мужик в такой ситуации.
Девки на самом деле разные, у каждой есть своя бэк-стори, и сюжет в каждом route развивается с разной скоростью.
Разговоры не вызывают ощущения тупости, флирт кажется натуральным.
Радует отсутствие клишированных персонажей из японских эроге. Если уж Шион немного застенчивая, то она просто застенчивая, а не цундерё. Если уж Акико бесстыжая, то она безо всяких детских ограничений бесстыжая. Мне понравилось. ;)
Сценарии сражений было интересно проходить (и намеренно проигрывать ради ачивки) - правильный выбор зависит от того, какой характер нашего партнёра.
Структурно новелла сделана достаточно сложно, чтобы не быть кинетической новеллой. Но при этом очень просто и понятно, не нужно сломать себе всю башку, чтобы додуматься, как добраться до второстепенных персонажей и до гаремной концовки.
Можно отмотать назад ДО момента выбора реплики (! игра просто хочет чтобы её прошли). Я охренел от такого.
Только не ждите от этой истории чего-то кроме эроге:

A videogame about Co-Piloting with another human using your mind to completely sync with each other to aid in efficiently of controlling a mechanical robot suit which is used to battle other robots.
Yet, the most unrealistic part of this game is women talking to me.

Graphics are nice, although could do with being more animated. Music is good too.
So ive been through a couple of VNs now. Some amazing and some lame. This one is probably one of my favorites, not because its the best plot in the world or because of the nice bewbsss. But its an action one about fighting robots, and getting some p**tang. There are a few different routes to do, and the certain scenes are actually pretty awesome (compared to other ones ive seen so far). Yes it has some cheesy moments in it, like how youre just always the hottest guy in the world, but every VN is like that haha. Definitely worth it, whether on sale or not imo.
Another enjoyable game from Dharker. Their games continue to get better.

One of the better games from Dharker studios. Their software is solid as always and support all the desirable features. The story is simple but servicable and it works. The characters are decently written and really different. Get the uncensor patch, obviously, and bravo to the developper for making it easily and reliably available for their products. On the art side, it's the usual nice quality art from that developper but this game (finally!) delivers a good amount (30+) of nude CGs with some variety. It's a bit wierd that Kariko doesn't have a rear hole but kudos to Dharker for involving Akiko's and finally doing something other than vanilla intercourse.
A few suggestions for the developpers:
- Try to find a way to differentiate the girls body, they all mostly look the same from the neck down. Tatoo? Beauty marks? Different body shapes? Etc.
- It would be nice to have an additionnal CG declination per scene showing the actual intsertion instead of relying on text with solo pics of the girls.
- More kink & non-vanilla acts! Akiko's route was going in the right direction.
Anyway, I enjoyed that one. It's a bit simple but well made, has lots of eye candy, variety and it's not tedious.

Battle girls, not very long but has some interesting plot points and mechsuit art if you can find it on offer i'd recommend, but it is a tad short, I'd like to see a longer career mode but overall it's good enough for a Vn.

This 16th short visual novel from Dharker Studios(my my, I only played through 9 of them and still have another 6 to complete in my backlog. xD) feature a male protagonist Takiro who enlisted in a mech training academy and battle ground where members of the military in various countries participate in the New Wars to compete for a larger role in decision making and trade deals for their country amidst the backdrop of an economic recession. With his female co-pilots Shien, Maika and Akiko, academy instructor and mech repair girl Kariko and academy director Ascencia, Takiro is given a mech to pilot together with co-pilot(s) of his choice as well as time off together with action, comedy, romance and fanservice.
Soundtracks, CGs and overall game presentation are good after factoring in appropriate background music for the futuristic action, victory and defeat and romance themes in the story and animated sprites for each of the main characters. Recommended when game with soundtrack, avatar, wallpaper DLC or Deluxe edition (Note that the dakimakura DLC contain adult NSFW content) are at discount or in bundle offer as all endings and the entire game's unlockable CG at gallery can be completed in less than 10 hours. The guide DLC or published Steam community guides will help in reaching all endings in the minimum number of playthroughs.

So, this game is another Dharker Studio effort. Which means lots of girls that may be willing to sleep with you alongside another story. In this case, a BattleMech tournament to settle warfare without as much bloodshed. There are three main girls who serve as your co-pilots... and can end up being a bit closer than that... There are also two other girls that are unlocked later, and a harem route...
While there is enough plot to be interesting, this game is a bit lighter on it than I tend to enjoy.
There is a free Uncensored patch which adds a few more scenes, removes some clothing on some pictures, and gives you a bit more of the romance building... or maybe just the having fun...
If your main reason to buy visual novels is the pictures then this is the game for you. Lots of pictures that are well done. The story for me was less engageing than Army gals and less erotic than Sakura Swimclub. While the game claims the battles are to settle disputes (with out total war) this does not fit well with the grand melee at the end. Good stories can have loose ends but I wish this had been spelled out how winning a grand melee helps a country. In Army Gals the pictures are the frosting on the cake but here they are the cake and the story is an excuse for the pictures. I liked the mech-warrior type story and it is head and shoulders better than the Bounce series (imho). So if you are looking for something lighter than Army Gals but heavier than Bounce with alot of pictures this game is perfect for you.
Story is very flat, but I have seen worse. The choices you ahve matter somewhat and influence the story line.
But if you are into mechs, mutiple girls and a good story line with bad ass jokes and spicy stuff I'd recommend "ACE Academy" by Pixelfade Studio which is far superiour in every way in my opinion.
If you have too much money to spend go for it, if you want more quality stuff, try out my recommendation instead.

I will probably buy any VN from this creator, so maybe I am biased, but since I do not like mech styled games and I still enjoyed this one I will recommend it to others. It is still a VN so don't expect fancy mech fighting, just choices during the fights over strategy.
It took about 7-8 hours to unlock all achievements and only cost about 8-9 USD, so to me worth it! To those claiming it was short please remember that VNs are about multiple playthroughs, not just one.
Adults path is nice, but I wanna path for see battle of the robots.

I've played some short stories in the past, but have never completed a single VN story inside 2 hours before, I'm sure there are some mainly free ones, but this is getting stupid now. I could have believed this was a demo, but a full game, really.
OK, I haven't tried to find love with all the girls, but a single play through shouldn't take me less then 90 minutes to complete. Check my achievements if you don't believe I've completed the game at least once.
The story is almost non-existent, the mech battles, aren't really battles, just story fillers, this full game should have been chapter 1, not an entire book.
Battle Girls is a Sci-Fi/Ecchi visual novel by Dharker Studios. It's a pretty short game if you read fast and can be completed in under 4 hours if you skip all of the dialogue and just want to complete the games based on achievements.
PROS
- Art: The art in this game is appealing, it's stylish on its own and keeps the eyes glue to the screen. The characters are well drawn and is great fanservice material.
- Characters: Each character in this game is unique and offers different dialogues and options when you are interacting with them. These characters will appeal to many players who may prefer one certain type of girl over the other.
- Routes: There are 3 main routes, 2 secret routes, and 1 harem route. With this many routes included in the game, it should keep you entertained for awhile.
- Adult patch: This will always be a plus in my opinion, not only does it offer sexual scenes for the players to enjoy, it also offers a deeper look into the relationship the player will build with the characters. It's like a sense of accomplishment after building a relationship with a character and then consummating it on a romantic level.
- Endings: There are multiple endings and I think they all are very satisfying. All of the endings truly depends on the choices and decisions you make in the game.
CONS
- Story: Although the game is decent, the story is a little cliche and bland. It's a story about how the protagonist must win the tournament in order to bring glory to his country and help shift some power to his country. It also has that common anime sterotype where he's "special" and is the reason why he has 3 co-pilots (the 3 main girls) instead of the normal 1 or 2 co-pilots.
- Music: The music wasn't memorable at all and I didn't really feel the need to have the volume all the way up in order to listen to it.
- Length: It's not very short, but it's not very long either. I think it's a decent length visual novel (although I kind of read through it pretty fast).
Overall, this game is pretty decent for the price you're paying. It's the type of game that will keep you entertained and certainly fulfill your ecchi needs. The uncensored adult patch is a blessing and I thank Dharker Studios for making it available for free for the public. There are elements of Sci-Fi and Mech action in the visual novel, if you're a fan of those genres, I highly recommend that you check out this visual novel and form your own bonds with these girls and bring glory to your country!
I usually like the "Dharker Studio" games but I could often name better ones. It is just how they flow and how short they truly are but I was surprised with how good this one is and I highly suggest trying it.
I passed on the "Army Gals" one but I think I may pick it up later on. But yeah, I suggest this one.
I really enjoyed this Dharker Studios game, in fact it's probably my favorite one so far.
Very well made. Exactly what i expected from them.
-Three very well done routes, with nice relationship development as you continue on, and a satifiying conclusion for each.
-Not one, but two secret routes, which also had satisfying conclusions.
Conclusion: Buy it, Patch it, Enjoy.
After there amazing game Negligee they staggered a bit with that magi school sequel, and I didn't enjoy army gals as much because of the darker story, and complicated routes, but this was an amazing return to form, and i can't wait for there next game.
