It's a good and decent simulator, despite some gaps in terms of setups (I didn't find any wings to configure in any car). 40€ for a 6-year-old simulator is steep. Wait for a price drop between €15/20, it's worth it.

Für mich persönlich, die bestem Sim am Markt (für meinen Anwendungsfall). Sehr gute Grafik, egal ob auf Triple Monitor oder in VR, custom FFB files möglich - wobei auch die Standard Profile schon ganz brauchbar sind, jede Menge content, Mod Support (habe ich noch nicht genutzt) - und im Gegensatz zu einem anderen Studio, wurde hier der Karriere Modus nicht gestrichen. Da ich keine Lust auf Multiplayer habe, bleibt AMS2 daher "Meine" Sim, um nach Feierabend ein paar Runden zu Fahren, und jedes mal wieder zu denken : " das fühlt sich richtig gut an, und sieht dabei noch klasse aus"

Ich komme erst jetzt auf diese Sim., durch Zufall ein Youtube Video gesehen. Hatte meine Zweifel ob es auf meinem älteren PC und ohne großes Equipment (Lenkrad, Pedale...) überhaupt lauffähig ist.
Weit gefehlt: Läuft tadellos und ich bin beeindruckt ob der Tiefe, des Sounds und der Bedienung. Insbesondere die historischen Fahrzeuge und ihre Umsetzung lassen Freude aufkommen - dazu Strecken wie der Österreichring, Hockenheim, Nordschleife etc., die in historischen Layouts zur Verfügung stehen.
Für mich die beste Motorsport Sim, die ich je gesehen habe.

Its like if Asseto Corsa and ACC were mixed and had more Brazilian tracks alongside distinctive vehicles and easier setup, i didnt tried the online but so far the AI is incredibly competent and well adjustable, also the phisics are marvelous, just dont forget to adjust the tyre noise on the main menu because the stock setting is way too quiet.

With how much of the game's content is in DLC's, the base game is like a paid demo. With iRacing, you accept this "a la carte" model because the depth of the multiplayer experience makes it worth it. This game doesn't have that, and the physics and handling don't justify it either. The driving experience is less nuanced than the original assetto corsa. The cars have a same-ness that reminds you that you're playing this specific game. It may be easier on a controller than other sims for that reason.

The AI is NOT that different from other sims. Weird stupid AI stuff still happens, and it still suffers from the same train-like behavior as every spline-based system ever. Don't believe anyone that over-hypes the AI. Its acceptable, nothing more.

It looks good.

I appreciate that they give endurance racing some attention, and I think the game is best played occasionally to do those longer offline races. That way, you can enjoy what the game does have to offer, while not getting too familiar with the actual handling and AI. Don't think too hard about it, or play it for too long, and it can feel fresh and exciting. If you can get the paid demo (base game) on sale for cheap, it is worth a shot.

I am leaving this review because a core part of the game is completely unusable for me and the support has been useless.

In my case, the Championships section is totally broken. When I open it, the page is just blank. There is no list, nothing to select, and because of that I cannot start, create, load, continue, or use championships at all.

This is not some tiny visual bug. It completely removes one of the game’s major features.

I emailed support on 1 March explaining the issue clearly. I then sent a follow-up on 9 March after getting no reply. I still received nothing back. No acknowledgement, no troubleshooting steps, no fix, nothing.

A game breaking issue is bad enough. Being completely ignored by support after two emails makes it worse.

When a major mode does not work and the developer cannot even be bothered to reply, that tells me everything I need to know about how seriously they take customer support.

I wanted to enjoy this game, but at this point I cannot recommend it.

Racing against AI is very good, probably best in class. Unlike ACC, you can have 40+ car races, and IMSA Prototypes, and nobody rams you. And if someone does ram you to death, there is an actual safety car mechanic. Graphics-wise, it feels like and runs about as well as the original assetto corsa (I'm running everything at medium to achieve 180 fps though. It probably would look better if I tried). The GT3 cars feel very similar to ACC, but not quite the same (grip is different in some places, and TC/ABS settings mean different things). I am about a half second quicker in AMS2 than in ACC, so it's pretty close. The FFB is not quite as good as ACC, but it works. The damage model is very punishing and realistic, much better than ACC. As far as UI, there's a little bit of jank, but it's serviceable. The pricing of DLCs is horrendous though, wait for a sale.

Great sim overall. Driving against the AI is better than AC, ACC, GT7, LMU, & iRacing by a noticeable margin. Physics are better than a simcade, but maybe half a step below the best I've played. FFB also isn't stellar out of the box, but fantastic custom files can be found online that bring it up to par. Car/track selection is great in the base game, but the DLC makes it perhaps the best overall package in sim racing (aside from modded AC & iRacing if you're rich.) Put it all on sale for 50% off as often as they do, and it becomes easy for me to give my money to this passionate, independent studio.

If you are looking for the pure joy of driving, Automobilista 2 (AMS2) is hands-down the most entertaining simulator you can play right now. It strikes that perfect balance between high-fidelity physics and "just one more race" addictiveness.

Positive:
The Best AI in the Game: Unlike other sims where the AI feels like they're on rails, the Ai in AMS2 actually fight you. They make mistakes, they defend lines, and they provide a genuinely thrilling single-player experience.

The best thing about AMS2 is the constant stream of new content. The developers are incredibly active, frequently dropping new cars, legendary tracks, and massive physics overhauls. It feels like the game gets better every single month.

If you love Formula 1 or IndyCar, this is your paradise. You can drive almost every era imaginable—from the dangerous 1960s and the turbo monsters of the 80s to modern hybrid beasts. It’s like a living museum where you actually get to push the cars to their limits.

Negatives:
While the variety is huge, some car classes still feel a bit empty. You’ll find categories with only one or two cars, making them feel more like "teasers" than full series.

Missing Modern Classics: To truly round out the experience, the game still needs more modern, world-renowned tracks to complete the stories of certain racing classes.

To be fair, the physics can still feel a bit "floaty" at times. While the FFB is ok, there’s definitely room for improvement in how the car communicate with the track in certain conditions.

Final Verdict:
It’s honestly a shame that more sim players aren't supporting this project. Despite its minor flaws, it’s the most fun simulator out there.

Es un juego de coches tremendo, tanto para quien le gusta un simulador serio como para el que quiere jugar a carreras de todo tipo de coches. Su variedad sin dlc es increible, la IA está super bien conseguida (pelean entre ellos y defienden el interior!), la experiencia de jugar con un volante aunque sea viejo pero que tenga force feedback es increible.
Cuando tenga un modo carrera será genial.
La única lástima es que el online es crear sala y ya está. No tiene un sistema competitivo dentro del juego, ojalá lo tubiera porque mucha gente lo juega pero offline. Que ya con el offline es increible

The best sim right now. Competitors are either narrower in scope, embroiled in Early Access drama or based on an extortionate subscription model. AMS2 features a wild amount of content even in the base game, all very high quality and still being improved and worked on (including the base game content btw not just the DLC).

AMS2 is geared towards single-player with brilliant AI racing which then offers the underrated benefit of racing in a closed lobby online with a few friends and a field of skilled AI cars. I fully support the dev decision to establish the game, the AI and content before beginning to roll out the career mode end of this year. The game is very well optimised, looks great and drives great.

The developers consistently make good decisions, regularly add high-quality content and actually listen to feedback from their community. I myself have made suggestions on the Reiza forum which ended up being patched in. In software generally but more specifically in sim racing it feels good to back a project so in touch with its users.

I've seen people complain about the physics (I'd wonder how many of the 100s of cars in the game said people have driven in real life to comment on realism) but honestly I've noticed nothing "undriveable" about it whatsoever. The fact is this sim is barrels of fun to jump into races with all the cars and tracks with many more features and content to come.

Buy the base game, enjoy the wealth of content in it and inevitably pick up the DLC later.

Automobilista 2 is defiantly worth a buy, but at the moment in my humble opinion only on sale, especially if you are looking for a refined single player experience. It is no secret that the career mode is coming but what it will be only time will tell. If devs will put as much passion, love and attention into career mode as in rest of its aspects it will be good. AI is great and there is much to adjust it to your current skill level.
I play on the PS5 controller connected through DSX app for some extra feedback and immersion and its great. You don't need to tweak much to make it work and feel well.

Also what was a big factor for me as a old school gamer is that you can download the demo and try it which I highly recommend if you have any doubts. I still play and enjoy first game and many great mods not currently available in this one, also the the feel from the first game is different But if you enjoy first you'll enjoy this one.

After restarting a 10 lap race at least 20 times I uninstalled the game. despite me leading on countless occasions on lap 8 and even 9 the game constantly spins me out then bumps into me with another car onto what I can only describe a ice like grass (totally unrealistic) I'm certain it wants me to have the exact same setup on my car as the AI have but I'm sick of messing with it. I wanted to race not mess with setups. I'm a driver not a bloody mechanic. I suggest you go and drive Race 07 then you might learn how a car should handle.

Incrível saber que esse jogo é brasileiro. Achei a física dele muito boa, e é possível sentir o carro sem os auxílios, e diria que é indispensável o uso do volante caso queira ter uma imersão, mas nada impede de jogar com o controle. É de fato um ótimo simracing, acho que um dos melhores que já joguei.
Vou comprar alguns complementos para deixar ele ainda mais completo, tentar utilizar a visão de VR para ficar ainda mais imersivo, quando conseguir, atualizo a avaliação.

Плюсы:
Стоимость двух чашек кофе.
Минусы:
-Очень слабая физика.
-Нет режима карьеры.
-Звук POLO GTI как у тракора...
-Полное отсутвие ощущения скорости.
-Машинам плевать на столкновение на скорости 150+
-Сломанное управление меню на Steam Deck.

honestly, its brilliant. Reiza has done wonders with the madness engine in their game, the graphics look pretty and the dynamic weather system is just immersive. there's massive amount of content in the base game and even more with DLCs. while physics and FFB are great, not perfect as other sim, but it still feels great. the ai in this game is honestly mind blowing and very immersive for singleplayer races.

however, some stuff in this game can be little frustrating. the multiplayer isn't as packed like iRacing or Assetto Corsa Competizione. the menu feels a bit dated, but its functional enough.

overall it's a 8.5/10 for me, it's a solid game if you're after variety and singleplayer racing. i'd definitely recommend picking up the DLCs to get the most out of it.

If you are into classic Formula 1, then this is the game for you! You can pretty much do all of the generations between 1967 and 2026, but note that not all of the cars are represented. There are generic cars, but some of them are licensed like McLaren and Brabham. There are mods that give the rest of the cars their correct liveries per season, and it looks incredible.
The other content is very good as well. Plenty of other series to race, and have a great time with. 10/10 for me!

Bis heute wohl eines der, wenn nicht sogar DAS meist unterschätzte racing-game überhaupt, vor allem Im Singleplayer Bereich
Die Grafik ist super, vor allem Lichteffekte wie späte Abendsonne und ähnliches sehen einfach wahnsinnig gut aus.
Es gibt eine riesige Auswahl an Strecken, Streckenvarianten und Autos. Egal ob man gegen 47 KI-Fahrer ein Multiclass Rennen mit fünf Klassen auf dem Sebring fahren will, oder mit dem alten Brabham BT19 über die Nord- und Südschleife von 1971 fahren möchte, gefühlt ist alles möglich.
Besonders gefällt mir die Streckenauswahl.
Neben den ''bekannten'' und üblichen Strecken wie Le Mans, NBR usw gibt es eine riesige Auswahl an etwas selteneren Strecken oder sogar eher unbekannten Strecken aus Brasilien/Argentinien, die auch viel Spaß machen.
Am besten gefallen mir aber die Ikonischen Streckenvarianten verschiedener strecken wie z.B. Hockenheim 2001 oder 1980, ebenso die alte Südschleife und die 14-KM Version von Spa oder auch die alten Varianten von Silverstone.

Auch für die Zukunft hat Reiza anscheinend noch einige Pläne mit dem kommenden Karrieremodus und unter anderem den neuen Supertourern.

Jeder, der Motorsport und dessen Historie mag, ist bei diesem Spiel absolut bestens aufgehoben. Absolut Empfehlenswert.

Se vc esta procurando um verdadeiro simulador, nao pense duas vezes, esse aqui eh o melhor.

Depois de ter pilotado em outros sims, eu decidi testar esse aqui e simplesmente nao consigo mais aceitar os outros.

Es un buen simulador y encima con una muy buena AI y mucha variedad de coches y circuitos, sobretodo historicos. El unico problema que veo es que el online es bastante malo, por no decir que es de los peores que hay (incluso por detras de F1 en mi opinion) Yo creo que deberian hacer como Raceroom y sacar un online competitivo decente para que mas gente se meta en este simulador ya que tiene un potencial enorme y seria una lastima que se desperdiciara por el simple hecho de no tener un online competente. Para mi gusto el simulador es un 8/10, los dos puntos que faltan seria por el online.

compared to when i first tried this a few years ago it is pretty good, albeit with some tweaks to FFB, head movement motion, and livery mods etc

have to recommend using Daniel Karts excellent custom FFB file, A Fry's F1 mods, Thunderflash pack of mod cars, and the DLC premium track pack for some added classics

would absolutely love to see some more F1GP tracks to help create a more realistic custom championship season!

graphics are pretty decent, but i'd love to see an option for a bit more depth / detail and punch

from someone who loves LMU, i now play this regularly as my other go-to; 9/10 for me!
