This project about the Czech experience in WW2 manages to combine historical documentation with personal narratives and enough interaction to still feel like a game. The story is uses fictional characters but is based on real experiences. The voice acting is skillful and not overly dramatic. I was not expecting to be drawn in as much as I was, but uncovering the mystery and hearing the personal stories was very engaging. Throughout are dialogue choices that strongly affect the outcome, and short mini-games that can be replayed to earn 'coins' which allow you to redo interviews with the characters and gain more insight. The mini-games are simple but also immersive and allow you to imagine what the characters are going through. The pacing is good and the stories contain enough to be illuminating but not so much that they slow down the game. Icons throughout allow you to obtain more information about various topics as interludes, and are generally a few paragraphs with some photos.

There are several more achievements alluding to events that I never encountered, so I assume that different dialogue choices would have led to more story points. I plan to replay again and also read more of the 'encyclopedia' entries the second time. The first play through was around 2 hours, plus some time to redo a few mini games. Themes of resistance, survival and the ethics of life under a hostile regime are presented in a nuanced and engaging way.

I would recommend this to anyone who is interested in history, resistance and how people survive in impossible times. There is some detail about concentration camps, but a respectful silence is acknowledged around the worst atrocities, and these are not the focus of the story. Life in Prague under German occupation is the main subject, and the challenge rests in tactfully interviewing people while respecting their past traumas. Not easy by any means, but you do get to retry the interviews by beating the mini-games.

Combining history and games in a meaningful way is not easy, but the developers have managed it impressively here.

В целом понравилось: интересная история человека, судьбу которого раскрываем из рассказов людей с ним знакомых - друзей, родных и тех кому он помог; диалоги достаточно разветвлённые и разбавлены большим количеством квестовых мини-игр в среднем по две на каждого собеседника и "комиксами" показывающими места действия о которых рассказывает собеседник, рисовка в них немного специфичная но к ней быстро привыкаешь. В игре большое количество документальной базы по событиям: много справочной информации вставленной в игровой процесс и большое количество кинохроники, которую подлаживают под рассказы людей. Режиссура и подача материала в игре сделана грамотно. На удивление были реализованы даже несколько концовок (я вышел к трём), и все они при этом в концепции одного прохождения (не нужно для этого перепроходить игру): судьба героя истории неизменна, но исходя из хода расследования может измениться то как он закончит своё век - либо встретиться с человеком которому помог, но думал что он погиб, либо не узнает что тот жив, либо умрёт в медицинской палате из-за того что вы не смогли докопаться до истины. Предполагаю что есть и четвёртая концовка, так как я не смог открыть диалог собственно с дедом которому и посвящена история.
Из того что может привнести негатив в игровой процесс отнесу зарабатывание монеток в мини играх, оно конечно, а монетки тратятся на перезапуск бесед с людьми, нужно это для открытия у них всех веток разговора и всей справочной информации по тем событиям (два финальных достижения) и вот тут нельзя неответственно подходить к перезапускам и поэтому надо помнить какие варианты ты брал, что бы не повторять уже пройденное впустую потратив монетку. Возможно у меня был баг, но я склоняюсь к тому что так всё-таки задумано было, но у меня оставалась уже единственная монетка и две нераскрытых исторической информации. Я думал "хитрить" и altF4 не давать сохранять сделанный выбор в диалоге, но это не прокатывало и при входе в игру загружало на этот момент выхода, но в итоге сделав неправильный выбор и "окончив игру", так как попыток перезапусков уже не оставалось (на этих моментах дед и помирал), при загрузке последней игры она запускалась с одной попыткой перезапуска и я смог переборами открыть нераскрытые ветки диалогов. Но как я и говорил выше эта система с монетками слишком ограничивающая и давящая на игрока на непрощение ему бесполезных перезапусков.

A fantastic and interactive FMV game to get to feel like you're reliving a dark chapter of Czechoslovakia. Highly recommended. It's a slow experience, with a lot of reading, so get ready to soak it all up. I left satisfied, having learnt a lot about that chapter of Europe.
Great voice work especially the Grandma is a highlight for me, really well done.

Ein eindrückliches Spiel, welches die schrecklichen Geschehnisse in Tschechien während der nationalsozialistischen Besetzung beleuchtet und durch Erzählungen erlebbar macht.
Das Gameplay ist mit etwas langwierigen Dialogen, aber auch abwechslungsreichen Minispielen gestaltet.
Leider wird deutlich, dass die Schauspieler Laien sind, was manchmal etwas stört. Zudem ist es bei den Minispielen zum Teil pures Glück, ob man die richtige Lösung erwischt oder nicht, und kann die Folge der eigenen Handlungen nicht vorhersehen.
Etwas Geduld und das Interesse an den sehr erschreckenden Vorkommnissen sind notwendig, um Gefallen am Spiel zu finden. Trotz den genannten Mankos finde ich das Spiel empfehlenswert, insbesondere, wenn es heruntergesetzt ist.

Es una aventura grafica semi point and click, casi rozando el walking simulator, ambientada en la operacion antropoide de checoslovaquia, no tiene un gran valor como juego, sino como historico-testimonial.
Tiene planos de camara hechos en compilado, y la trama puede ser tranquilamente algo realista que haya sucedido.
Los dialogos y dibujos estan bien hechos, la musica y estetica es muy parecida a la de This War of mine.

Logros y CROMOS mejoran el valor del titulo.

Es un "Juego" por asi decirlo (novela visual basicamente) que no es para cualquier publico, es corto, 2-3 horas y lo terminas. Te tiene que gustar mucho la historia y vivir los testimonios como parte de ese evento historico.

Yo hacia años que no escuchaba del tema (salvo por la pelicula) y me anime a jugarlo para ver que tal.

7/10 - En lo que se propone, esta bien, pero no es un juego memorable y siendo honestos, esta la pelicula de operacion antropoide que es casi 1 sustituto fiel de la tematica. Pero aun asi bastante bien, como dije, no para cualquier publico.

I'm not sure if this really is a game as much of a documentary of what it was like under Nazi occupation in Czechoslovakia. The game teaches you history through clips and storytelling. You are a member of a fictional family but the events are real and what happens in the game mimics what happened to many living in the time period. It's really sobering and well done. I think this is more of a visual novel that teaches you about the past.

This was a highly moving and educational game, in more ways than one. As a Jewish person, and as an American living through some interesting times, this game gave me an odd sort of not-quite solidarity and inner quiet as I worked through the story, gathering tidbits where I could and trying to put myself in their shoes. Incredible experience - I would recommend this to any history buffs, political folks, or those who simply need to feel a little less alone or find solace amid the struggles they go through. While the path through may seem twisting and frustrating, it's still there, waiting for you.

A historical fiction FMV where interviews are interesting in substance but sort of terrible in the presentation style. Meaning - the information you get is interesting, made me think from more angles about what it was like for everyone involved and how people tend to see themselves as the hero of their story. And I want to focus on THAT part ... and not an antiquated system of "don't ask the wrong thing" or you have to repeat the interview. Having narrative branches is good. But here you just get stuck and have to repeat the parts, otherwise the game does not go anywhere. The exception being the very end of the game where your choice of words actually makes a difference.

I hate the coins mechanic, tied to the mini-games. It creates this unnecessary tention if you will be able to find the right dialogue to progress (or reveal everything) before you run out. Now, if you do all the mini-games perfectly you get two coins for each and that should be enough to repeat the more repetitive interviews. But I think investing time in repeating them is price enough without the coin system.

Mini games are kind of weird. Range from "super easy" (just click all items) to "what is going on...?" when you are left to randomly choose stuff under a timer. And you choice does not matter actually as the character tells you they would not have done that. So it is all pointless, just to get coins for the pointless coin system. It could have been just this chill investigation to engage more with what is being presented.

Overall though, games like these are important. In these times when fascism is on the rise and nationalist parties are starting to influence, somewhere even dominate, country politics. I think it comes to the fact that not many people that lived through those times are still left. And so history is being twisted in ways that promotes hatred, violence, racism and genocide of entire groups. This is captured in this game, and because of that I endorse it, despite the somewhat goofy gameplay mechanics.

Really good and informative game.
Tells stories of those impacted by WW2 and the Nazi occupation of Czechoslovakia and lets you investigate how their fates affected each other, and ultimately, your character's grandfather.
The game has a really good encyclopedia that you unlock as you go, it gives you tons of interesting information about those times and how people suffered under the regime. It definitely sparked my interest to research more about it later.

Very much recommended - just keep in mind that it's more of an informative documentary-like game with quite a few interactive elements rather than a full fledged game in its classic sense. Doesn't make the game any less worth playing!

I really wanted to like this game, because the subject matter is extremely interesting and the art style is really good. But the gameplay is bad. Talk to someone, try to guess at the right things to say to get the information you need, get told you need to talk to them again, spend coins to talk to them again, play minigames to get more coins. I see people complaining it's not really a game, but honestly, it would have been better with less gameplay.

With far right extremists being on the rise again, I think this game is very important. That is, e.g., considering that one fifth of Germany is voting for a far right extremists party that actively tries to change how the history is viewed, trivializes it etc...

Here the game does an important job in getting people to remember. Nicely researched, historically accurate facts and also images satisfy this. Despite this not being a pleasurable time to remember, the developers also did a great job in turning this into a game. That is it works surprisingly well as a game, the drawn scenes, mini games and interview parts and encyclopedia go nicely together. Personally I think a game like this might even be the best way for this. Compared to a movie one gets way more information in the game's encyclopedia and through the interaction with the characters via the interviews, also the game gets one directly involved. A book of course can have more information etc., it is however very hard to read on this topic...

All in all, very important, great game!

The game world, mostly told through FMV, is a depiction of the 1940s-era war setting. The only issue I have is the relevance of the footage being shown versus what footage just is available of that time period. I think Attentat 1942 would have benefited greatly from some on-site present day footage, for example.
The narrative is simple, which is finding information about your grandfather. It does have a wholesome ending about [spoiler]a reunion between two friends that each thought the other died[/spoiler], unfortunately doesn’t do much with the conclusion.

Attentat 1942 (A1942) is a FMV point-and-click adventure game with a strong emphasis on the historical accuracy of citizens during World War II. You play as the grandchild of a Czeckoslovakian couple. As your grandfather is ill and doesn’t appear to have much time left, you want to learn about what happened to him during the period of WW2.

To start with the negatives, to me the biggest one is the lack of meaningful gameplay, especially considering the length of the game. Since it's about a 2.5 hour game, I would say perhaps ~20ish minutes of that consist of an actual minigame with gameplay elements, like finding items that could be considered anti-German paraphernalia, or navigating a conversation in a way that the character would. These minigames are good at setting the tone of the story, but occur too infrequently and are too sparse.

As for the positives, I think A1942 was good at showcasing the horrors of WW2 from a civilian, and especially husband/wife perspective. It presented a single small tale of a handful of people directly affected by the Nazi invasion and really makes you think about all of the other untold or lost stories that will never be found because of the atrocities of war. Despite listing it as a neutral, I like how the narrative ultimately ends on [spoiler]a high note by two friends being reunited when each thinking the other was dead[/spoiler]. Granted, the game ends off specifically at a really awkward part, but I still think its a good message and one that is backed by historical evidence.

Overall, A1942 is a decent game. I’ve played better visual novels/point-n-click adventure games, but I commend A1942 for committing to the teaching of history. Especially in modern times, if history is forgotten then it's doomed to be repeated. That being said, considering its price, it's a tad expensive for the amount of playtime available, but it's a no-brainer to pick it up on sale if you have any sort of interest in learning about WW2-era stories from those that went through it.

I found myself completely losing track of time and getting immersed into this little game, caring very much about all characters and wanting to know everything about them. It's a good thing that mini games and interviews can be repeated as it's easy to miss certain things on the first attempt. Anyway loved it and hope to see more games like this in the future!

I bought this game in discount, it was $14 MXN in august, but I waited till I got a new gaming laptop to try it.
It was kinda funny that a historical and interview game was the welcomer, but I dont regret on anything.

Even tho it could be seen as a graphic novel and minigames, its more than that: the interviews are realistic to the point the characters story telling feels extremely real, seeing the live expressions of each one as you make them questions is great, to the point I reflect a lot when I finally finished it; its a journey to the events of Heydrich attentat and how you investigate your grandfather's story.
I want to poin out that you need to be really meticulous in what you ask or either way you wont get all of the info you need, even if repeating the interview you wont know all you need to know.

The jumps between the character's faces, the historical footage and the in-game art/mini comics makes this even better, feeling it vivid and realistic to a point you feel another one of the characters.

Its worth your time, to explore and learn about one of the many stories about the ww2, and how this one story collects a great amount of other side stories of lots of people.

10/10 of a game, will try others of Charles Games definetly.

意味がわからない箇所もありますが、ストーリーを追うのに支障がないレベルです。コミックのフキダシ内も訳されます。

インタビューはたまに翻訳が間に合わない場合があるったり、日本語の表示時間が短かったりするので都度ESCキーで一時停止すると良いです。

百科事典はたまに訳されない部分があったり(翻訳文字数の数を2000から増やしたら解消したような気も)、写真と重なって表示されて読めない箇所があったりします。

アルファベットを使ったパズルはしんどいですがガイドで正解の文章を見ればなんとかなりました。

I didn't finish it. Not because I didn't want to, but because the style of the game- it got stale very fast.

I wouldn't have minded but it seems that progress seems to stop after a couple of interviews and at some point you have to spend coins to re-do them. I just couldn't be bothered listening to the same stuff for the third time.

It's nice to see something different, but it could have been done better.

2024年12月、世界が複雑なこのご時世、
このゲームの意義。

英語を全部読むのは大変でした…。
それでも何となく分かれば
ストーリーにはついていけるかなという感じです。

ナチスのチェコ侵攻という重たい内容ですが、
実写とアニメーションのコントラストがおしゃれで、
映像も見ごたえがあります。

答えを考えている間、俳優さんが時間を気にしたり、
お茶を出してくれたり、結構リアルでした。

Good first game by Developer Charles Games (at least on Steam), which seems to be a group of people who came together in a Czech University.
A FMV interactive Movie educational history game about a (fictional) Biography about your grandma and grandpa's fate in the German WW2 occupation of the Czech Republic after the Munich Pact.
Not less or more content than in other FMV titles, I bought it together with their other FMV title "Svoboda 1945: Liberation" in a discounted bundle, well worth the sale price for this game's experience alone, haven't even played the other one yet and am already satisfied & it has a good Soundtrack, too.
Will probably take you around 4–6 hours to complete the whole story, maybe a little more if you have to replay some of the interviews to get all the (linear) achievements or even have to completely start over if you run out of Coins (minigame currency; you can replay them to get all of it, which can become tedious however) [can skip seen scenes, but not minigames].
I liked this game even better than Beecarbonize, which is a simulation card game about climate change funded by the EU by the same studio and was also good (and is free, so try it out).
The Biggest Con is original language only available in Czech, not English, German etc. however, there are English and other subtitles and the sound fits the game and setting well, even if you can't understand it.
Also, sometimes you have to click on the speech bubbles to advance, so you have to read the subtitles anyway which kind of mitigates this.
I liked the beginning and mid game, but think the ending and outro had more potential.
All in all I really liked this game though and can recommend it, I'm looking forward to playing Svoboda 1945: Liberation and their other games I haven't played yet.

P.S. If you liked Attentat 1942, maybe also try Svoboda 1945: Liberation on Steam and Train to Sachsenhausen - which is a history-based game that relates to the dramatic events tied to the closing of Czech universities in November 1939 - for free on PC from the Developer's Website or on Google Play / IOS for mobile.

Чот меня игра победила. Монеты кончились, поболтать не с кем, разговоры не повторить, куда лезть, что делать не понятно.
Хотелось бы всё таки более внятное прохождение, хотя бы без тупиков. За это минус.

В остальном очень сочувствую Чехам и всем, кто столкнулся с Фашизмом. Был давно в Праге, жаль, но из-за потопа тогда не попал в местный известный конц лагерь, очень хотелось посетить. Из страшных мест второй мировой я только посетил Хатынь под Минском.

История конечно интересная и диалоги также заставляют думать, но некоторые мини игры без гайдов и перепрохода игры не сделать на отлично, также диалоги повторно можно использовать за монеты, которые быстро кончаются и которые даются за мини игры, буквально сделал все идеально по мини играм, но дальше просто у одного персонажа не нашел одно упоминание, из-за этого не прошёл игру и не получил одну из очивок, так было дважды не говоря про попытки до этого. Ну и чтобы постаринки вернуть деньги за игру я решил выдать ласт очивку ибо сливать деньги ради одного воспоминания я не хочу. А так игра более менее проходится просто так за час, на все очивки с везением и авосем с 3 раза если юзать гайды. Игру за фулл прайс брать не советую и лучше просто запиратить. Всем удачи)

I mainly got this to see high-quality videos of Reinhard Heydrich strutting around.

It's a puzzle game/documentary mix, and it takes under 5 hours to complete. It's not crap but I don't recommend buying this for more than 5 euros.
It doesn't really offer any new information about Heydrich's rule in Czechoslovakia either.

Касательно нацистской оккупации чешские современные нарративы обычно скатываются до уровня "Немой баррикады" Яна Дрды - пропагандисты выставляют всё так, якобы абсолютно все чехи были против оккупации и активно (а самое главное с бравой улыбкой на лице) выступали против, хотя, конечно, достаточно взглянуть на имена и фамилии видных чиновников времён немецкого протектората (да, они в основном чешские). Помимо темы протектората здесь поднимается и вопрос так называемого divokého odsunu (депортации немцев из Чехословакии после войны), которого современные чешские пропагандисты боятся как огня, ведь депортировали зачастую не военных преступников нацистов, которые в большинстве своём на тот момент либо уже были мертвы, либо находились на фронте (с 1943 года нацисты принудительно отправляли воевать даже 17-летних подростков, в ускоренном темпе сформировав печально известную 12-ую танковую дивизию СС "Гитлерюгенд"), депортировали в основном стариков и детей, чьё имущество (а в случае детей наследство) и недвижимость конфисковались или просто разворовывались. В ходе этих депортаций "случайным образом" было убито свыше 30 тысяч человек.
Игра позволяет взглянуть на эти события не замыленным пропагандой глазом, разработчики тактично и ненавязчиво показывают игрокам, что не всё в мире делится на чёрное и белое, а война так и вовсе обычно окрашена сугубо в серый цвет.

В плане геймплея игра могла бы предоставить больше игровых механик, но в целом и так сойдёт.

It is very informative but it annoyed me to no end that I could not skip minigames that I have already completed. When I ran out of coins I had to skip the ending scene a looot of times. It was extremly tedious to complete it to 100% and get all the information. It is nice to hear them tell their own story but I could do that via YouTube or other media sources and hear much more. Sadly I can not recommend this game.

Druhá světová válka nepatří mezi období historie, o které bych se významněji zajímal. Když ale sem tam narazím na dobrý film s někdy až krutými příběhy lidí té doby, obvykle je pro mě těžké se odlepit od obrazovky. A něco takového jsem očekával od této hry.

A má očekávání se celkem naplnila. Smyslem tohoto fiktivního příběhu je se dozvědět, jakou roli měl hráčův dědeček v odboji během nacistické okupace Československa. Postupně obcházíme několik pamětníků té doby a kladením vhodných otázek se dozvídáme o dědovi více informací. Vše stojí a padá právě na těchto vyprávěních, jejichž zpracování se celkem povedlo. Většina tak skutečně navozují smutek, lítost, zlost či podobné emoce, zvláště když si člověk uvědomí, čím vším si lidé v té době museli procházet. Jen škoda, že je hra na můj vkus až příliš krátká.

Herní dobu naštěstí o malinko natáhnou minihry, které jsou s příběhem velmi úzce spjaty. Dojde tak na schovávání zakázaných předmětu před prohlídkou od Gestapa, rozhodování se o tom, jakým způsobem utéct, čekání na vhodný okamžik pro předání zakázaných letáků, dešifrování deníku, apod. Jak už to bývá, některé byly zábavné, jiné zase tak moc ne. Například tvorba článku na základě projevu prezidenta Háchy či volba vhodných citátů z literatury. Úspěch v minihře není vyžadován, ale generuje žetony pro možnost opakovat rozhovory, což je mechanika, která mě moc nezaujala. Raději bych neomezené opakování a povinný úspěch v minihře.

Grafické zpracování je kombinaci autentických filmových záběrů a nahrávek, scén s herci a kreslených scén. Všechny tyto styly do sebe zapadají a tvoří dobrý celek.

Hraní mě bavilo, příběh je sice fiktivní, ale vychází ze skutečných událostí. Další informace je možné si přečíst v přiložené encyklopedii, takže jsem se dozvěděl spoustu nových informací z té doby. Jen škoda, že to uteklo tak rychle. Dokázal bych si představit i dvojnásobnou délku.

Edukativní hru o období heydrichiády bych na Steamu opravdu nečekal.
Tím spíš dobře udělanou a hezky česky namluvenou. Jak vidíte z obrázků, hra kombinuje rozhovory s živými herci s ručně kreslenou adventurou a několika jednoduchými minihrami. Informační hodnota hry sice není bůhvíjak vysoká, ale v porovnání s jinými hrami tohoto typu na Steamu je docela slušná. Ideální vzdělávací hra nejen pro děti na druhém stupnmi základní školy.

Jednoznačně palec vzhůru!

An interesting combination of FMV and mini-games, detailing a lesser-known scenario from World War II that took place in Czechoslovakia, through the lens of a fictionalized investigation. It's light on gameplay, but offers a fascinating story that's well put together. The minimal gameplay and lack of replayability is probably going to be a turnoff for some and that's fair, but I think this does a very good job at presenting a part of World War II that many people don't know about. I do wish that the videos were encoded at a higher bitrate as they are nicely shot and often artifact badly, though this has been improved in the follow-up game Svoboda: 1945 Liberation.

ひと昔前、西暦2000年ぐらいの現実世界が舞台のアドベンチャーゲーム。選択肢をクリックしたりして進めていくタイプ。祖父が語りたがらないWW2の物語を、当時の惨禍を生存した人物にインタビューして追跡していく。[spoiler]祖父にまつわる物語自体は架空。インタビュー映像の登場人物も俳優さんらしい[/spoiler]

チェコ語(??)音声で日本語字幕なし。英語字幕選択可能。ゲーム内に多量にテキストが出てくるが、英語表示。セリフの途中でもESCキーで字幕を出したままゲームの一時停止できるので、字幕の知らない英単語を調べることは可能。進めるにつれてゲーム内のencyclopediaも充実していくが、全部目を通すのは結構大変。セーブポイントからやり直しみたいな機能もないので、選択肢適当にポチポチしてみるか、というプレイもお勧めできない。ゲーム内報酬を消費して、回数限定ながらインタビューのリトライが可能。

"本物"の写真や映像をふんだんに取り入れたゲーム内容は、実に身が引き締まる思いがする。普通の人ならば、ゲーム中に登場する「holocaust」「Auschwitz」という単語から何も連想しない事は難しい。しかしその一方で連想される事柄は、その規模の大きさゆえか俯瞰的な視点で見たものになりがちだと思う。実際には、数百万と言われる犠牲者、その家族一人一人に、本作のような苦悩と悲しみがあった筈。それはもちろん日本だって同じ。

80年経過した。戦争の記録自体は永遠に残るかもしれない。しかし人々の物語を掘り起こして感傷に浸り、そこにリアリティを覚えるのはどこかに期限があるんじゃないかと思われます。もしかしたら今日この時代が、近すぎず遠すぎず、良い頃合いだったりしないでしょうか。憎悪の波が穏やかになり、人々はまだその水面を思い出せる。

なお本作は、作中に当時の政党を連想させるシンボルが度々登場するので、ドイツで発売されておりません。

Приятная игра-повествование событий Второй мировой с подробной энциклопедией.
Интересный графический подход для разных элементов повествования. Комиксы отлично. Стоило ли сюда мешать актерскую игру, для меня вопрос. Возможно для подчеркивания человечности ситуации и реальности событий, но фотографичной графики в некоторых местах достаточно, как по мне. Киносцены приводит нас к актерской игре и наигранности, которая в противовес портит некоторые впечатления.

Attentat 1942 je fascinující a dojemná hra, která vás vtáhne do spletitých událostí druhé světové války, konkrétněji do dob po atentátu na Reinharda Heydricha. Hra představuje unikátní způsob interakce s historií prostřednictvím poutavého vyprávění a inteligentních herních mechanik.

Jedním z nejpozoruhodnějších prvků hry je její schopnost přenést hráče do života lidí, kteří zažili hrůzy, které tady napáchali Němci po atentátu jako například hromadné kontroly, zatýkání, popravy a spoustu bolesti. Prostřednictvím rozhovorů s postavami a sledováním natočených scén se ponoříte do každodenního života lidí během této temné kapitoly historie, abyste zjistili něco více o vašich prarodičích. Vaše rozhodnutí o tom, co říct či zeptat, má skutečný vliv na vyprávění a odhalování příběhu, což vytváří autentický pocit interaktivity a osobního zapojení.

Celkově vzato, Attentat 1942 není jen zábavnou hrou, ale také významným historickým zážitkem. Jeho schopnost spojit poutavé vyprávění, interaktivitu a edukační prvky jej činí nezapomenutelným zážitkem, který nenechá hráče lhostejnými.

Attentat 1942 handelt von dem [url=https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Anthropoid]Attentat an Reinhard Heydrich[/url] in Prag im Jahre 1942 (Die Aufrechterhaltung & Funktionalität des Links kann ich logischerweise nicht gewährleisten) und welche Auswirkungen die Repressionen & Vergeltungsmaßnahmen der Nazis gegen die tschechische Zivilbevölkerung gehabt hatte. Der Fokus liegt dabei bei unterschiedlichen Personen, die zusammen den Krieg überlebt haben und davon erzählen. Als Spieler muss man dabei die unterschiedlichen Beziehungen zwischen den Personen spielerisch herausfinden in dem man Interviews führt. Außerdem rekonstruiert man häufiger mal gewisse Szenarien aus der Vergangenheit nach, z.B. eine Flucht und findet so heraus, ob man selbst in dieser Situation hätte flüchten können, oder nicht, je nachdem, ob man die richtige Entscheidung gewählt hat, oder nicht.
Mehr ist Attentat 1942 im Grunde nicht. Erwähnenswert wären jedoch noch folgende Dinge:

[*]Die deutsche Übersetzung ist häufiger mal fehlerhaft. Ins Besondere fehlen gelegentlich Leerzeichen zwischen Wörtern (sowiehier). Was ich persönlich nicht wirklich gut heiße. Die Entwickler stammen aus Prag. Aus dieser Distanz sollte es eigentlich nicht so schwer sein aus Deutschland einen besseren Übersetzer zu engagieren...
[*]Vom optionalen Lesestoff wird man irgendwann erschlagen. Anfangs wollte ich noch alles lesen, aber irgendwann ist es wie beim Museumsbesuch: Das Gleiche nimmt man sich da auch vor, liest dann letztendlich doch nur noch das, was einen wirklich interessiert. Schade war bei eben diesen Enzyklopädie-Einträgen, dass diese auch nicht im Darkmode angeboten worden sind. Ich kann also nicht empfehlen das Spiel in einem verdunkelten Zimmer zu spielen.
[*]Mir gefallen die animierten und gezeichneten comicartigen Cutscenes sehr gut!
[*]Interessant fand ich zuletzt auch, dass man hier von "den Deutschen" spricht, wenn man von den Gräueltaten von, nun, den Deutschen spricht. Gefühlt ist man in Deutschland fast schon konditioniert nur noch von den Verbrechen "der Nazis" zu sprechen, als wäre das eine Randgruppe, mit denen die eigenen Vorfahren eh nichts zu tun hatten. (Selbst in dieser Review habe ich die gleiche Formulierung gewählt, und das vollkommen unbewusst) Es wird in diesem Spiel noch mal vor Augen geführt, dass es unser Volk war, unsere Vorfahren, die diese Gräuel begangen haben. Nicht nur "diese eine Partei", oder "dieser eine Mann mit Bart". Darauf geht dann sogar auch gegen Ende des Spiels einer der zu befragenden Personen ein.

Und... das war es eigentlich schon. Wie gesagt: Mehr ist Attentat 1942 nicht. Nett, aber erneut brauch ich das nicht nochmal. Diese Art von Spiel wäre in deutlich verkürzter Form vielleicht sogar interessant für ein Museum.

Historia multimedia que aprovecha la interactividad para involucrar al jugador de una forma amena con el horror del nazismo y las profundas repercusiones de sus crímenes.

Siento que falta algo; a veces, en Charles Games, descuidan los fundamentos narrativos y terminan optando por soluciones conservadoras, pero es, al fin y al cabo, un material histórico invaluable.

Hra je hezky provedená. Lidé očividně nejsou herci, takže jim ten příběh nevěřím.
Ale nejhorší pro mě je, že to jsou fiktivní události doplněny skutečnými. Když už bych chtěl něco takovýho, tak podle skutečnosti.

Це невеличка гра на декілька годин, в якій ми намагаємося вияснити, як склалася доля одного чоловіка, що вижив у концтаборі. Загалом як історична замальовка з незвичайною подачею гра (чи квест, чи візуальна новела), має свій інтерес.

Але з точки зору ігроладу - вона більше дратує ніж радує. Ігровий процес зводиться до того, що потрібно в деякий місцях вибирати правильні діалоги і вигравати міні-ігри. І це - найгірша частина гри.

З іншого боку, якщо є бажання узнати щось нове і є декілька вільних годин, то досвід по-своєму цікавий. Хоча я особисто подібні ігри буду оминати стороною, бо мені не подобається боротися з непотрібними міні-іграми.
