I waited a long time so that I could get this game for as low of a price as possible. Since the opportunity arrived, I decided to give it a go.
Having already played the demo previously, I knew it wouldn't be one of my favourites, but I was still expecting an enjoyable game nonetheless, especially given just how nice-looking the demo was.

Well, I was deeply mistaken. Here are the main problems of this game and why it is such an annoying bore to play:

1 - Buggy/Glitchy. As an example, every time you enter a pipe, you get inside the walls for a split second. I've already been thrown under the map by one of the NPC's (and then proceeded to die only a few minutes later). I was also able to shoot at many enemies through windows.
2 - Annoying inventory management. There's really no benefit to this system except the fact you're forced to waste your time going to save rooms every other minute. It also results in you accidentally leaving ammo on your storage because inventory is full.
3 - Ammo management mess. It's rare to find ammo on loot, you can only store a very limited amount of ammo, and it is quite resource intensive to produce it. The result? You run out of ammo constantly.
4 - Too many puzzles, and they're a chore to do. While most puzzles are relatively easy, there are just too many of them. Some puzzles are particularly hard to even FIND, meaning you'll often stay looking at all walls in a room for a good 5-10 minutes trying to understand what you're supposed to do and where you're supposed to go. There are also plenty of annoyingly long puzzles.
5 - Stupid NPC AI. They always run straight towards you when hit, no matter the distance. So if you shoot at a guy 4 floors below you, hoping you can get a stealth kill on an unaware enemy, well, you're in bad luck, as he'll run straight towards you no matter what. It's funny, because despite being omniscient, they're too dumb to react when their allies die right next to them.
6 - Slow progress. 10 hours in and I'm still weak because blueprints are scarce, energy is too limited, and everything is expensive to produce.
7 - Too much time spent underground. It's claustrophobic. The first few hours of gameplay are spent entirely underground.
8 - Small enemy variety. There are like a dozen enemy types and that's it.
9 - No sprint/run. You can just walk.
10 - Weird walking pattern. It's like your character does a few long, slower steps at first. Camera sensitivity also feels very irregular for some reason.
11 - Inconsistent jumping, makes you fall off platforms all the time.
12 - Inconsistent button detection. I often had to keep clicking certain buttons multiple times for them to be registered.
13 - Limited movement. Too many impassable areas and un-climbable/un-jumpable walls.
14 - Insufficient quest description/guides, and objectives are often glitchy, or even non-existent. Makes questing particularly annoying.
15 - Too hard on normal mode.
16 - Weapons deal too little damage.
17 - Inconsistent damage. Sometimes I kill enemies with 1 shot, and other times with 5.
18- Enemies in the open world are never-ending. So you spend a while killing all enemies in an area thinking you'll finally be free, only for more flying robots to appear endlessly.
19 - No map of internal areas.
20 - Despite being "open-world", it is quite linear. I wasn't even able to find things like side-quests. Only one, main questline.
21 - Annoying dialogue from the assistant. Won't he ever shut up?

I could go on and on but I assume this is enough. Gave this plenty of passes but by the time I was in my 1000th annoying hidden puzzle, I decided it was enough. So disappointing.

This is a soft recommend and would be a neutral rating if Steam allowed it. The art direction, voice acting, and soundtrack are very good. The setting of a utopia-like soviet union is unique, and I spent quite a bit of time in the beginning taking it all in. There are good things here, but there are some big detractors as well.

Gameplay wise, it is mostly enjoyable, but there are areas in the last half of the game that inundate you with enemies which is really not fun. It is easy for your character to get "stuck" on something. In one of the last battles, I couldn't just walk onto areas that were slightly raised from the floor and would frequently get stuck on them in the middle of the fight. Also, it really sucked learning that in the open world, enemies respawn within 10 seconds thanks to never ending repair bots. The boss battles are okay. The music does the heavy lifting there imo.

The climbing controls are way too janky. Thankfully there aren't actually that many climbing instances in the game, but I have never played a game where climbing felt this bad.

The protagonist is annoying. I get that there is some in-universe reason for that, but that doesn't make it less annoying. He is way too edgy, always throwing around curse words like a sailor...yet his catchphrase is supposed to be "crispy critters...."
Yeah, a millennial definitely wrote this.

The story isn't bad, but it's not great either. I wasn't drawn into it at all. However, the worst part is the ending. NO spoilers, BUT...a game should not leave you feeling dissatisfied (neither should a movie or book for that matter). The game gives you two endings and neither is satisfying. Now...the under the sea DLC picks up from the "good" ending and looks quite interesting actually, but I am not going to get a DLC to figure out whether we can get a better ending or not. The ending of this game has a couple huge lore drops and twist, and I'm going to be honest...the twist was NOT needed. It made for a very unsatisfying ending.

On a completely different note, Nora, the machine you go to to upgrade and craft stuff, is unnecessarily freaky. I can't understand why anyone would find it funny or amusing that this "character" pretty much tries to sexually assault you and is constantly spewing euphemisms and directly saying in the most lewd voice, "I want you inside me!" I understand as a woman I am being biased here, but this is just cringe. I literally had second hand embarrassment meeting Nora, not because of what was taking place, but because someone actually wrote this, thought it was good, and left it in the game.

Ебучие пироги! Вот и дошёл я до конца третьего DLC, ждёмс 16 апреля четвёрку, думаю будет не хуже тройки.

По моему мнению это отличная игра. Да, есть свои недостатки, (особенно для политоты ♥♥♥♥♥♥), но они все меркнут в сравнении с захватывающей историей Агента П-3 (Майор Нечаев) и его супруги агента с позывным "Блесна" (Екатерина). Разработчики явно понимают что делают и для кого делают. Скажу так, если и покупать то ONLY со всеми DLC, так как каждое DLC и даёт чуточку, но раскрытие мира и сюжета игры.

Однозначно рекомендую товарищи, берите не пожалеете.

Атомное сердце — поразило моё сердце!
С таким громким титулом я начну свою рецензию на Atomic Heart.

Игра замечательная под всеми аспектами, кроме технической составляющей: бывали моменты, когда я проваливался под машину и другие, не менее досадные ситуации, которые мешают продвигаться в мире.

Но кроме этого, минусы присутствуют, куча плюсов:

🔹 Боевка:
Проработанная, захватывает, можешь подобрать свой стиль боя, выбирая стужу, полимерный бросок и другие способности.

🔹 Музыкальная составляющая и озвучка:
Как мы все знаем, ремиксы советских песен появились в Атомном сердце, такие как «Комарово», «Звездное лето», «Арлекино», «Косил Ясь конюшину» и другие, не менее крутые.
Озвучка на высоком уровне, отличная подборка актеров и живая, не нудная речь. Это что-то с чем-то!

🔹 Сюжет:
Персонажи очень проработанные, живые и очень запоминающиеся.
Резкие перевороты на 180 градусов повергают в шок даже меня после Метал Гиров.

🔹 Открытый мир:
Полигоны — это большие комплексы с головоломками и предметами на улучшения, увлекательные и не однотипные.
Много классных локаций и мест, ощущения и атмосфера на уровне.

Заключение:
Атомное Сердце — это хороший экшен-шутер от первого лица с открытым миром и прекрасной историей, музыкой, озвучкой и атмосферой ностальгии. Хоть и есть много технических проблем.

Субъективно - игра великолепна. Объективно - это хорошая игра с кучей проблем и кучей достоинств.
Начну с минусов:
- крайне спорная озвучка некоторых персонажей
- хотелось бы видеть больше оружия, способностей и снятие ограничение на всего лишь 2 абилки
- мертвый открытый мир
- мало интерактивности и интерактивных объектов
- многовато квестов по типу "найди 4 колбы"

Теперь плюсы:
- великолепная оптимизация игры, лучшая за последние годы
- достойная графика на момент выхода
- стандартный сюжет, который не хватает звезд с неба, но выполняют свою задачу
- прекрасная музыка

Боевая система, вдохновленная биошоком, может относиться как к плюсам, так и к минусам, но мне она понравилась.

Несмотря на то, что эта первая ААА игра от Mundfish, несмотря на производственный ад, который прошла игра, все же получилось отличное произведение, которое я однозначно рекомендую. Ей еще есть куда расти и очень много аспектов можно развить/исправить/улучшить, поэтому очень много надежд на сиквел, который, судя по трейлеру, будет гораздо масштабнее

I've been following this game since i was 12 years old and the first teaser trailer dropped. I was, and still am, a huge bioshock fan and that video scratched that exact itch. It was as is if was made just for me, slavic and weird, all these cool visuals and ideas that didn't need to have an explanation, and the music choices were just the cherry on top. I've waited patiently, scurrying the internet for just one more look, one more screenshot or video of this game i didn't even have a pc powerfull enough for. Im 20, going onto 21, and after building my brand new pc this was the first game i bought. I'm glad to say studio Mundfish delivered on absolutely every promise they've made to kid me. This is the first and probably last review i ever wrote, but this game means too much to me. Great job, Studio Mundfish, and thank you.

"Open World" gilt wohl mittlerweile für alle Spiele, bei denen man nicht nur vor-, sondern auch zurücklaufen kann. Atomic Heart bietet eher aneinandergereihte, doch recht überschaubare Arenen, die an Doom erinnern. Die Rätsel und Kniffeleien, die prinzipiell cool sind, werden ins Nervtötende gesteigert, übertroffen noch von den häufig damit verbundenen Geschicklichkeitsübungen, die gefühlt endlose Wiederholungen mit sich bringen können. Wirklich schade, die Grafik ist der Hammer, die Welt ebenso fantasievoll wie ideenreich und die Story eigentlich recht spannend. Also zumindest wäre sie es, könnte man ihr folgen, statt den Großteil der Spielzeit mit frustrierender Kniffelei, Rumhebelei und Rumhüpferei durch die "Testgebiete" zu verbringen oder z.B. Snake und Kugellabyrinth spielen zu müssen. Als Krönung gibt es dann ein extrem schwaches oder ein schwachsinniges Ende. Insgesamt ein Spiel mit richtig guten Ansätzen, die aber verloren gehen und für mich tatsächlich völlig overhyped.

This review is more a matter of taste than a critique of overall quality, but both are issues in Atomic Heart. First and foremost: I cannot STAND the main characters, P-3 and his Navi-style onboard assistant, Charles. They never shut up. Ever. P-3 is an insufferable, smug, annoying moron whose endless dialogue reeks of cringe Millennial tropes. He is consistently rude for no reason, he vomits exposition with teenage attitude, and he whines endlessly about the game itself, as if he knows how contrived the mostly silly and annoying puzzles and platforming are.

Charles is an annoying robot voice who interjects with less than useful, usually superfluous, overly-written filler, and the chemistry between these two --- who NEVER shut up --- is atrocious. It is incredibly annoying and it saps the atmosphere right out of the game.

The melee combat is pretty underwhelming, with field of view and mobility issues, among other things. Also, that hyper***ualized robot upgrade station is just gross and stupid. Who asked for that?

I enjoyed every moment of it. I paid 20$ when it was on special and that was definitely worth my money, I beat it in 39 hours and that includes exploring alot! I will certainly play again to cellect all the achivements. Bonus points for unlimited space for all the elements you pick up, im a huge collector when it comes to ingame play!

so now after 2 years after i bought this game i completed the story, (yeah ik Waht 2 years??? i had an bad graphics card so i had low fps and it was no fun) and what i can say it´s a nice game yeah some cutscenes looked weird and other things but the story was nice the soundtrack was nice the fights were meh some places were cool like the (warning spoiler) Hospital fight and the morgue and the bosses were kinda too easy? i would carefully say yeah i played on the middle difficulty but i thing nothing will change on the hard one except if they will have diffrent attack paterns but so every boss i had like in one attempt the end boss was nice yeah but was done in one attempt but im excited for atmic heart 2

El mejor juego que he jugado en AÑOS, mi clon favorito de la fórmula de System Shock, la música es increíble, los gráficos muy bonitos con una dirección de arte implecable.

La jugabilidad no es para todos, se inclina más a la supervivencia al inicio con armas debiluchas pero al final terminas enfrentándote contra hordas de enemigos con armas de lo más destructivas.

Tiene algunos bugs molestos, los subtítulos son demasiado pequeños... pero no hay juego perfecto.

Para mi una obra maestra.

Good game. 7/10
Story is truly great, slow at first but then jumps to twists and hints that leave you interested.
Ambience, a soviet union utopian ambience works perfectly, mixed with that music is even better.
The minigames and puzzles were a good touch too.
I would have added more weapons, feels slightly limited, knowing that 2 of them are OP and leaves you not wanting to use the others.
But, oh poor our souls, never, and I repeat, NEVER, make platform/obstacles missions again. Trying to jump from one platform to another or simply doing those wall jumps felt like getting a stroke that would leave me paralized by 40.
The open world? Enemies always find you, no matter what, and in 5 mins you gets surrounded by them. Until here all good. If it wasnt for those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ FLYING AROUND and REVIVING the dead robots ENDLESSLY.
Beside the huge ammount of people gooning to the twins, the fridge that sexually assaults you, the immense difficulty to remember every eastern surname, its a good game.

Нет, ну это полный пздц.
Первый час мурыжат кат-сценами, мол походи-посмотри, все красиво-круто.
Как только начинается реалный гей-плей, графика с фпс-ом говорят - досвидания.
Боевка- как в подливион вернулся, импакта 0, дыбильные свапы на шифте занахуюто, миру на ваши действия срать вобще, ни царапин, ни коллизии, Ни Хе Ра, это позор.

Ну, а после часа этой рыготни, попадаете в комплекс к роботам, и начинается реальная движуха (Ведь правда, ж ведь так, да ?) - ♥♥♥ там, поди рубильник дерни, поди лампочки как даун потыкай, щелку (замочкую) в-виде пилотки, мамамшки разраба потыкай-покрути.

Круууто, вот прям кайф от этой одышки рыготной получил, и сразу рефанд оформил.

Always love coming back to this game every once in a while. Visuals are top notch (Especially with my new specs)! Artists must've had a fun time with this. Story was alright, nothing to brag about but not bad. Main character we play as though could've used a whole new script. Really wanted to try to like him for my 2nd playthrough but he's very bratty and childish which really affects the story's mood at times. Combat/ game mechanics were real fun. I couldn't be bothered to mess with the melee system; with it being a bit lackluster and ranged weapons just being superior. World environment is beautiful but a bit empty and confusing at times and certain locations. Doesn't help as well not knowing when or if you'll be able to return to an area in case you wanted to explore more, which you'll need to do for weapon part blueprints. Some areas stray far from the objective which can get a little confusing since at times it will lead you to a dead end or a path to a later mission. I've had many times where I just chose not to go further, thinking it would be another mission and turns out never was (Can't return to the area anymore) Constant enemy spawns do not also help. It's unmotivating sometimes knowing I forgot something or just like to clear areas to get from A to B without barriers. Would be nice if you could wipe them at least for the duration of you being in an area. I'm about to now begin the DLC's so I can catch up with the upcoming entry. I'd definitely recommend picking this up on a sale or something.

This was one of the best stories I have ever played...
I wasn't expecting this much lore behind everything, only to be dumbfounded.
This is NOT a robot game, it is a game about human greed and bigger heights.

游戏好玩的，可惜我选了个坏结局，本来剧情中的线索挺多的，被我忽略掉了。
解谜要素很多，战斗机制、武器多样性一般，画面和风格很好，剧情还可以，有回味的空间。有中文配音很好，在不多的有中文配音的游戏里也属于上乘了。
期待dlc4和原子之心2

苦行。フルプライスで売って良いクオリティじゃない。難しいと不愉快をはき違えてるし、プレイヤーを苦しませればゲームが面白くなると勘違いしている

アートデザインは非常に優れているが、それ以外の何もかもが全てダメ。移動、探索、戦闘、パズルすべてが中途半端で、歯ごたえがあるわけでもなくただただ面倒なんだけで何の面白みも無い。逆にそれぞれがそれぞれの良さを潰し合ってる始末。
例えばアートデザインを楽しもうとゆっくり散策しようと思っても、ゲーム序盤を過ぎると一度倒した敵が一定時間で復活するため、おちおち風景を見ている余裕はない。探索を楽しみたくてもそんな暇はない。
例えばアートデザインにこだわりすぎるあまり、どこをどう探索すればいいのかデザインや導線で自然にやらせる仕組みが無い。スキャンモードを使えばいいが、テンポが悪い上にこれを使ってたら折角のアートが目に映らなくなる本末転倒。しかもスキャンは壁越しに何もかも見えすぎるせいで逆に見え辛すぎる

アートデザインのために他の全てを犠牲にした作品
それなら割り切ってもっと短い尺の作品にすればいいところを、無節操にアイデアを詰め込むものだからだらだらと無駄に長い
本当の本当にアートが好きならやってもいいかもしれない

played entirely in VR with UEVR and motion controls. it looked great, and i really liked the game and the training grounds. i did find it difficult in VR, even in story mode; mostly had to avoid melee and use ranged attacks to avoid potential QTE events (e.g. plyusch was tough). the current mod also had some jank with the map, Nora skills, and the light grid door puzzles; but was able to ignore because was enjoying it too much

Its a good looking game with a whole bunch of potential. The way it was executed was not for me. The writing was not compelling for me and the ending was quite poor both to me and the person next to me watching. I've never been a fan of games that respawns downed enemies in any fashion. So, there is that. The jumping mechanic is not very precise or fluid for a game that relies to some degree on platforming elements, The open world was not very open. You will go where you need to go, when you need to go there, the way you need to go there. That said, it wasn't all bad. It does bring back that Bioshock vibe and some (if only a couple) characters stood out. The game ran well for me with no bugs or crashes at 4K. I started the DLC only to walk away nearly right away. Just wasn't a game that I thought about when I wasn't playing it and THAT is the secret sauce to me for a good game. It stays with you during and well after you play it.

Atomic Heart — это тот случай, когда игра дарит уникальный опыт. Стилистика здесь невероятная: атмосфера ретрофутуризма, советская архитектура, дизайн роботов и кристально чистая картинка — в игру влюбляешься визуально с первых минут. Это один из самых стильных проектов последних лет.

Механики боя отточенные, ощущение тяжести оружия и комбо в ближнем бою доставляют огромное удовольствие. Противники разнообразные, дизайн врагов (особенно боссов) на высоте, а саундтрек — это отдельный вид искусства, который хочется слушать даже вне игры.

Единственный минус, в третьем DLC создатели, видимо, настолько сильно захотели интеграцию с реальностью, что перегнули палку с рекламой «Пятёрочки». Это уже не просто билборды на стенах, это выглядит так, будто главный герой П-3 устроился на подработку мерчандайзером. Когда персонаж прямо в катсцене начинает зачитывать рекламные слоганы вместо сюжетных реплик — это выбивает из погружения.

First thing after installing the game i have to install shaders just like the new cods have you do now. It made the whole main menu unusable until they fully installed. The movement is atrocious. Killing enemies is very un satisfying. The writing was not so great. graphics were nice.
