I have a grand selection of similar games but this is better imo than AoE2 due to the building maintenance aspect which doesn't figure in AoE2. I downloaded Anno 1404 and the Anno 1404: Venice some years ago but only got back to it recently

Leider mit wenig Inhalten, aber man kann trotzdem einige schöne Stunden darin verbringen.
Aufpassen: Das Spiel ist hier nicht mehr verfügbar. Wer es deinstalliert, wird es nicht mehr herunterladen können, auch wenn ihr das Spiel längst in eurer Bibliothek habt!

Ich glaub viel kann man nicht sagen.
Es ist einfach ein Klassiker.
Hatte es bereits lange vor Steam, als man noch ne CD zum installieren gebraucht hat.
Es macht Spaß und hat auch einen gewissen grad an Herausforderung.
Am liebsten spiele ich zwar das Endlosspiel, aber auch die verschiedenen Missionsspiele sind abwechslungsreich.

Auch wenn Anno 1404 bereits einige Jahre auf dem Buckel hat, gehört es für mich noch immer zu den schönsten und faszinierendsten Aufbauspielen, die je entwickelt wurden. Das Spiel hat nichts von seinem Reiz verloren – im Gegenteil: Je mehr moderne Titel erscheinen, desto mehr erkennt man, wie viel Liebe zum Detail, Balance und Atmosphäre in diesem Klassiker steckt.
Grafisch ist Anno 1404 erstaunlich gut gealtert. Die Städte, Felder und Häfen sind mit einer beeindruckenden Liebe zum Detail gestaltet. Selbst heute noch ist es eine Freude, zuzusehen, wie die Bürger geschäftig ihren täglichen Aufgaben nachgehen oder die Schiffe sanft über das Meer gleiten.
Das Wirtschaftssystem ist ein echtes Highlight: logisch, schlüssig und zugleich wunderbar vielschichtig. Jede Produktionskette greift nahtlos in die nächste über, und das Gefühl, eine funktionierende, wachsende Stadt aufgebaut zu haben, ist einfach großartig.
Besonders gelungen ist die Kombination aus Okzident und Orient. Diese Mischung sorgt nicht nur für optische Abwechslung, sondern auch für spielerische Vielfalt. Die orientalischen Waren und Gebäude ergänzen das westliche Stadtleben perfekt und verleihen dem Spiel eine faszinierende kulturelle Tiefe.
Anno 1404 schafft es, Ruhe und Herausforderung zugleich zu bieten. Es ist ein Spiel, das man sowohl entspannt genießen als auch strategisch meistern kann – und genau das macht seinen zeitlosen Charme aus.
Fazit:
Anno 1404 ist ein Meisterwerk des Aufbaustrategie-Genres – wunderschön, komplex und bis heute unerreicht in seiner Atmosphäre. Trotz seines Alters macht es mir immer noch großen Spaß, in diese lebendige Welt einzutauchen und meine eigenen blühenden Städte zu erschaffen. Ein echter Klassiker, der niemals alt wird.

Schönes Spiel, gut um entspannt Zeit zu vertreiben. Die ständigen Abstürze (ca alle 2 Stunden) sind nervig, aber vorhersehbar. Wurde womöglich längst behoben, ich spiele eine sehr alte Version.

Noch Heute spielt jeder die Anno Serie und das ist auch verständlich, den selbst heute noch 2025 sind auch noch die alten Anno Teile einfach nur super zu Spielen. Anno 1404 ist gegen seinen anderen Teilen eines der sehr ruhigen Spiele die man mehr auf ruhe und Genuss aufbaute klar es hat nur 8 Kapitel mehr nicht aber zur seiner Zeit war das Ausreichend man konnte ja dann noch immer in der Sandbox spielen.

Ein Klassiker, den ich auch 2025 gern wieder mal hervorgekramt habe. Leider gibt's das (Original-)Spiel auf Steam nicht mehr und der Multiplayer wird nicht mehr angeboten, aber für ein paar Solo-Stunden nach wie vor zu empfehlen. Ansonsten gibt es ja mittlerweile die "History Editions".

Einfach und unkompliziert für Einsteiger. Schöne Grafik. Auch für das Alter trotzdem ein must have.
Nie da się zwiększyć interfejsu przez co na moim 4k monitorze kompletnie nic nie widać i ciężko jest cokolwiek odczytać.
Ta gierka odstaje od innych gier anno - wolę odpalić starsze wersje. To jest chore, że Anno 1602 z 1998 roku miało więcej budynków, więcej opcji, nie było zbugowane i było przyjemniejsze do grania. Nawet język polski tam był a tu nie ma xD.
Ta wersja jest po prostu nudna.
W ogóle w pierwszej kampanii już natknąłem się na buga. Miałem podnieść przedmiot statkiem i dać do magazynu - podniosłem, dałem przedmiot i dziadostwo nie chciało się zaliczyć, więc odpaliłem tryb scenariusza(dziwne, że nie ma opcji losowo generowanej mapy jak w pierwszym anno XD). Wtedy odkryłem, że muszę robić loda sułtanowi, aby zdobyć prestiż i móc nauczyć się zdolności uprawiania przypraw, bez których miasto mi nie urośnie. Dałem ciapakowi pare k golda myśląc, że to załatwi sprawę. Oczywiście c**j kasę przygarnął a "prestiż" nawet troszeczkę nie skoczył. Czyli dałem mu kasę za darmo tak o jak największy frajer. Po co w ogóle ta opcja jest? Podejrzewam, że trzeba było misje robić, ale męką byłoby robienie ich w moim przypadku przez malusieńki interfejs, więc odinstalowałem.
Czyli podsumowując gra jest rozjebana bugami, ma durne mechaniki i ma mniej budynków i opcji od gry z 98 roku xd. Jedyne czym przewyższa pierwsze Anno to grafika. I nic więcej. Może jakby interfejs dało się jakkolwiek zeskalować to bym aż tak tej gry nie zjebał.

I have somewhat mixed feelings about this game. At its core, it's a decent city-building experience, but it’s held back by a few significant flaws, especially in terms of its campaign. The game takes place on small islands that you develop into thriving cities, but the overall experience is a bit of a mixed bag.
The campaign's story, set during the 15th-century Crusades, is one of the game's biggest missteps. While the setting has potential, the narrative is handled in a silly, almost absurd way that undermines the game’s tone. The voice acting doesn’t help either—it’s over-the-top and poorly executed, which only adds to the awkwardness. However, considering this is a 2009 release, it's important to keep the historical context in mind when reviewing it in 2024.
The progression of the campaign introduces new buildings and citizen types, which increases the complexity of managing your cities. This sounds like a fun challenge, but the interface makes it unnecessarily difficult to keep track of everything. The UI isn’t particularly intuitive, and as your city grows, it can become frustrating to figure out what exactly is missing or broken in your city. You’re often left clicking on individual buildings just to check their status, which slows down the pace and adds an unnecessary layer of tedium.
While this game would not require combat, it does has it. However, combat it’s a real letdown. While the game forces you to engage in battles at certain points, it feels more like a chore than a strategic feature. The battle mechanics are shallow, with little to no depth or excitement to be found—almost as if the game is asking you to "pretend" you’re in a battle, rather than actually engaging in one.

It’s a city-building game where you get to flex your strategic muscles while managing resources, trading, and figuring out how to keep your citizens from staging a mutiny because you forgot to supply them with ale.
You’ll start with a tiny island, and before you know it, you’re crafting an empire so grand your neighbors will be wondering how you got all that gold while they’re still stuck trying to figure out how to make a decent loaf of bread. The graphics are gorgeous, the trade routes are addictive, and there’s something immensely satisfying about watching your little villagers run around like busy bees.
The real fun kicks in when you realize you’ve accidentally built your entire economy on rum and fish while ignoring basic needs like housing. Who knew that forgetting to build a tavern would lead to an uprising? Oops!

Jostain kumman syystä jäänyt arvostelematta mutta peli on kuitenkin tuttu vuosien takaa. Kyse on erilaisista versioista mitä vuosien varrella on julkaistu. Anno 1404 peliä ei sitten ole enää tullut pelattua kampanjan osalta vaan olen juuttunut skenaariolle missä pitäisi diplomatian myötä onnistua rakentamaan kaupunkeja. Pieni yllätys oli se että diplomatiassa sinällään ei ollut mitään vikaa vaan " heikkous" . Kaikesta huolimatta pitää varautua sotilaallisesti...
Ehkä hieman alkaa aika painaa päälle eli jäämään vanhaksi mutta muuten hyvä kaikin puolin...

In liebevoller Optik wird das düstere Mittelalter zum farbenfrohen Leben erweckt.
Wolken schweben über der Erde,
Hirsche rennen durch Wälder,
Vögel kreisen am Himmel.
Schwertwale holen blasend Luft im Meer,
Rauch kräuselt aus Schornsteinen,...
Aber auch die Siedlungen leben!
Kleine Kinder toben herum,
Betrunkene torkeln aus der Schenke,
Martkarrenzieher rennen geschäftig hin und her,
(dabei rennen sie auf gepflasterten Straßen aber ziehen mühsam Staub abwirbelnd über Landwege)
Gräser/Bäume/Hanfpflanzen(!) wiegen sich im Wind,
Wimpel und Segel flattern,
Leute schwärmen über den Marktpkatz,
Bauern arbeiten auf den Feldern,
Pflücken Obst von den Bäumen,

Warenketten zu erstellen, Handel zu treiben, Schiffsflotten zu neuen Ufern und gegen Gegner segeln zu lassen, Städte hochzuziehen, Versorgungswege zu planen, Missionen zu lösen,...
Während neuere Games nach 30 Minuten ihren Gameplay-Loop offen gelegt haben, wirst Du hier auch noch nach STUNDEN(!!!) neue Spielmechaniken und Details entdecken, erkunden, erfahren!
Und dabei alles so präsentiert und in Häppchen serviert, dass man sich nie ÜBERfordert - sondern immer angenehm GEfordert fühlt!
