Premetto che non ho finito e non finirò il gioco, anche se mi stava piacendo abbastanza.

La ragione è dovuta alla gestione dei save point, che non solo costano crediti, ma sono posizionati in punti appositamente scomodi e truffaldini. Per intenderci, prima di un boss sarebbe bello avere un save point, e invece di fronte al boss ci finite senza aspettarvelo, con ottime chance di perdere tutto il progresso non salvato per non spendere crediti.

Siccome accade più volte e mi sono trovato costretto a ripercorrere alcune porzioni di gioco, preferisco non trovarmi di più di fronte a questa situazione.

Lascio comunque una recensione positiva perché il gioco è buono per tutto il resto. È un'esperienza alquanto genuina di quel che poteva uscire su PS1 anche in termini appunto di game design un po' claudicante in alcune scelte come quello spiegata sopra.

Buona atmosfera e ottima interpretazione della grafica PS1. I combattimenti fanno schifo e i puzzle hanno poco senso proprio come ai vecchi tempi!

Хороший сурв-хоррор, но стрельба очень кривая, буквально, перед началом игры ващпето можно выбрать помогалку с стрельбой но дебафф - меньше шестерёнок с мобов, а шестерёнки тут главное, аммо, хилки, костюмы с баффами и способностями, например если не купить заранее свимсьют, то водный уровень пройти будет нереально в платье, и без платья тоже, можно купить разные апргейды например дрон который будет показывать пикапы и кажется врагов, что не понравилось это что шорткатов мало, и убег как-то не оч, ну паззлы лёгкие, но было разок где я сглупил (три раза подряд) в комнате ловушке с опускающимся потолком куда мы падаем с вентиляций, только с лонгплея в тытрубе понял как проходить этот сегмент, бесило раз за разом обратно бегать, были бы чекпоинты перед боссами и не приходилось бы бегать после каждой смерти те же комнаты с врагами, игра была бы джемом и я бы не дропнул её, взбесил этот босс-рыцарь, где ещё битва превращается в рейл-шутер, интересно конечно, но дично сделано, были бы тогда чекпоинтики... V_V

Não consigo entender como esse jogo tem avaliaçoes tao positivas. Eu achei que a historia é interessante, o mapa é legal e bem elaborado, mas meu deus que gameplay HORRIVEL! Eu sei que ele queria remeter aos classicos de PS1, mas ele conseguiu fazer uma gameplay pior e mais travada que a da epoca. Pra começo de conversa a localização dos controles é todo bugada, tive que procurar na internet como arrumar, depois que você finalmente arruma vem uma gameplay travadassa pra simular tank, mas a sua personagem tem velocidade e movimentação de ps1, mas os INIMIGOS NÃO. Todos são rápidos, todos eles ficam escondidos em angulos de camera, e assim que ele aparece você nem tem tempo de reação, ele te bate e dá stagger, e a partir dai você não consegue mais tentar atacar porque ele fica te dando stagger, e é quase impossível fugir porque eles sempre bloqueiam o caminho e te prendem. Ai o pior é aqueles inimigos que se arrastam no chão, porque eles não só são dificeis de mirar, como eles DESVIAM dos seus tiros, como se o jogo te desse munição o suficiente pra você gastar atoa assim. Tinha tudo pra ser um jogasso se não fosse essas péssimas escolhas de design no combate. Fica apenas frustante, não assustador ou difícil. Não recomendo nem de graça. E por ultimo, a dublagem do jogo é obviamente alguem que pegou um celular e começo a gravar a si próprio falando e tentando fazer vozinhas diferentes, um lixo, você ao invés de ficar com medo você ri de tão tosco. Infelizmente não consigo pedir reembolso

Игра не является переосмыслением знаменитой сказки Льюиса Кэрролла, но явно сильно вдохновляется тамошними атмосферой и сеттингом. И результат действительно не оставит вас равнодушными.

- Сюжет по началу интригует, но постепенно сваливается в банальное "некст степ оф кукольный эволюшн". Как итог - концовка скомканная и оставляет пустоватое послевкусие
- Присутствуют незначительные баги, как например, застревания моделек в текстурах - для инди-проекта ситуация абсолютно понятная, но все же такой минус имеет место быть

- Абсолютно резидентоподобный геймплей, причем во всех аспектах прослеживается именно первый оригинальный резидент
- Множество интересных и изобретательных головоломок
- Уютная и такая родная та самая особняковая атмосфера той самой старой школы тех самых классических сурвайвл-хорроров
- Приятно отрисованный визуал, в стиле игр первого поколения PlayStation
- Прекрасные звуковое, а главное, оригинальное музыкальное сопровождение, отлично подчеркивающее общую стилистику и атмосферу игры
- Благодаря местечковому "магазину" можно приобретать оружие, модификации, аптечки, патроны, а также различные костюмы со своими уникальными свойствами
- Честный сейврум, где за сохранность нужно платить кровными медными, латунными
- Разнообразные колоритные противники
- Промежуточные вероломные боссы
- Заезженный, но как-будто уже обязательный для игр такого жанра формат с письмами, записками и дневниками, раскрывающими сюжет и антураж
- Ненавязчивые и аккуратно вписанные в события игры пасхалки, отсылки и референсы, не паразитирующие на классике, но отдающие ей все почести.

Если вам нравятся сурвайвл-хорроры старой школы, в особенности оригинальный Resident Evil 96 года, эта игра категорически mustplay для вас, вне всяких сомнений.

Alisa es un «survival horror» muy inspirado en el primer Resident Evil, con una [b]ambientación y mimo audiovisual exquisitos[/b] (sus gráficos de PS1 con fondos prerrenderizados son geniales), pero [b]muy lastrado[/b] por sus muchísimas [b]decisiones cuestionables a nivel jugable[/b]...

[b]El combate es tan tosco como injusto[/b] (no hay ni una sola arma que sea satisfactoria de usar). La mayoría de enemigos [b]se mueven y atacan más rápido que tú[/b], dándose muchos casos de «stunlock» (te agarra un enemigo por banda y te da golpes hasta que [b]mueres sin que tu personaje pueda reaccionar[/b]).

Es un «survival horror» que [b]te obliga a matar enemigos[/b] (irónico, ¿eh?) para obtener la moneda con la que obtienes todo el equipo, consumibles y [b]hasta la opción de guardar[/b]. Habrá muchas ocasiones en las que un enemigo nos soltará [b]un valor inferior en monedas al que nosotros hemos invertido[/b] para acabar con él.

El juego abusa mucho de salas, mecánicas y momentos en los que nos podemos comer un [b]fin de la partida muy gratuito[/b], que se agrava aún más con los [b]pocos puntos de guardado que hay y la gran distancia entre ellos[/b].

Los puzles [b]están bien[/b] (aunque peca de algún que otro «backtracking» criminal), los jefes [b]son chulos[/b] (aunque no hacía falta meter siete planos estáticos en la pequeña arena en la que tenemos que enfrentarlos) y es [b]muy rejugable[/b] gracias a los trajecitos y los objetos exclusivos de los jefes (entre otras novedades del NG+).

Es un juego cortito, de unas siete-nueve horas, que me encantaría recomendar porque lo adoro a nivel audiviosual, pero falla en tantas cosas a nivel jugable que [b]me cuesta recomendárselo a alguien[/b] (porque ese alguien va a sufrir en sus carnes según qué perradas que le harán acordarse de mi madre).

Если вы возьмете все самое тягомотное и отвратительное из первых частей Резидента, нарисуете гунерские костюмы сделаете надоедливый OST и оставите ужасную боевку то вы обязательно получите Alisa. Удивляет что люди пишут про ностальгию и что это самая близкая итерация PS1 сурвайвл хоррора -_-

I feel very strongly about this game because it's such a nostalgic and well done homage towards proper survival-horror. The game doesn't hold your hand; you learn by doing, exploration is rewarding and it takes a few grey cells to solve some of the riddles..
Where this game truly shines is in its replayability. Each run unlocks new weapons, outfits, and endings, making every playthrough feel fresh and digestible. Survival horror thrives on giving players new ways to experience the story and dive deeper into the lore, and this little indie gem does exactly that.
The purpose of this review is basically for me to say thank you to the developer for letting me feel right at home - i can't wait for the sequel!

Great atmosphere and inventive take on the 90s survival horror, with emphasis on combat and equipment. Tank controls are easy to get used to, and autoaim is always there in the menu for those who desperately needed. For those who don't, an upgrade allows for autoaim. But if you are like me, you still have the option to disable it for more challenging combat!

After having rolled credit for this game 5 times, I feel it to be my duty to recommend this game on the store page. This game is the absolute CLOSEST a game has come (in my searching) of perfectly replicating that original PS1 survival horror feel. Now, that comes with the good and the bad, but if you're anything like me, you won't mind. Those slightly clunky physics, locked cameras, and tank controls are all so integral to the gameplay that it feels as though it wouldn't be right any other way. I highly recommend at least attempting the game with tank controls on, and auto aim off. It's not everyone's style, I know, but there's something about that specific method of play that just feels so right. Also, pro tip, USE THE MELEE WEAPONS! Most survival horror type games give you melees as a simple last resort option. Usually if you're doing even semi-well at the game, they're not necessary. Alisa though takes more focus on the melee. If you can learn to run around enemies right and counter at the right times, most enemies in the game are easy to take out at no ammo loss. The final thing I'd like to mention is my one real negative with the game, the locations. Now none of the locations are bad, but at the start of the game you are introduced to this bright and demented circus theme that's really unique. However, everything following it is instead a more standard location. The garden, sunken basement, and chapel are fine, however they do little atmospheric-wise to separate from other horror game contemporaries. Again, they're not bad, but I just wish there was more spots as interesting as the initial circus location was. In the end, however, this is an absolute banger of a title. Highly encourage a playthrough.

Este es un juego con una ambientación espectacular. Un diseño de niveles y de enemigos exquisito. Y una historia sumamente atrapante. Porque le pongo esta calificación? porque su creador tubo la brillante idea de mezclar 2 géneros que no cuajan solo para ser "tendencia" con los souls. Porque su dificultad está basada en ese tipo de juegos.

Simplemente el juego esta mal hecho. La dificultad está muy mal balanceada. Porque ya de por si los survival horror clasicos ya tienen su dificultad. No hace falta agregarle mas todavia. Ademas de que hay ciertas armas que son muy portentes pero muy lentas para combatir con enemigos muy fuertes.

Encima hasta para guardar la partida hay que gastar puntos que obtenés de los enemigos muertos. Y solo hay una ranura de guardado por cada partida. Una descepción. Si tan solo hubiesen dejado la jugabilidad clasica de los survival horror este juego ya estaba mas que perfecto.

Me siento descpecionado. Jugalo solo si te gusta la dificultad harcore en un survival horror.

Mi introducción a los "Survival Horror" y probablemente mi favorito del genero. Con un diseño de la protagonista y de la propuesta del juego fuertemente inspirado en American McGee's Alice, este juego entretiene y te mantiene enganchado con su manera de resolver puzles y encontrar los tems clave para avanzar en la historia, la cual se siente bastante simple e intuitiva. De por si lo que más llama la atención del juego es su estética grafica parecida a un juego de PS1, estética que a su vez hace al juego super único y diferente a los demás títulos del genero actuales. Por último, el juego ofrece una muy buena rejugabilidad gracias a que tiene 3 finales distintos, y que muchos ítems no podrán ser adquiridos hasta, por lo menos, iniciar una partida New Game+. Muy recomendado!

Eu queria muito gostar desse jogo mas não dá kk, muito desbalanceado, movimentação péssima, ângulos de câmera confusos, no geral um jogo bem frustrante, as únicas coisas positivas que eu posso destacar são os gráficos retro, adoro essa estética de jogos estilo Psx, e são poucos devs que conseguem capturar essa essência e fazer de um jeito que não pareça preguiçoso ou uma cópia barata de Resident evil, a música e sound design do jogo também são bem únicos e combinam com a vibe geral. Eu esperava que tivessem algumas atualizações pra deixar ele minimamente jogável, uma opção de dificuldade seria suficiente, não me importaria de jogar esse no "Very easy".. mas pelo visto o desenvolvedor encerrou o trabalho dele aqui pra focar na sequência, agora é torcer pra ele ter aprendido muito com esse projeto e fazer o segundo jogo melhor.

I will not be finishing this.

I'm kicking myself a bit about it because I dig the vibe and it feels pretty close to a game I'd like but the issues have stacked up too much by (from what I understand) is the halfway point.

Combat in Alisa is terrible and borders on broken. This would be acceptable if there was not so much of it and it was not required to earn currency which gives all upgrades, weapons and even moderates the save system.

Besides that there are several other frustrating elements like a room that kills you unless you solve a puzzle under a short timer. Hope you saved before!

Many things you can buy are expensive and then turn out to be nearly useless (an outfit that gives you increased defense but makes you only use very weak melee). Did you buy that? Shucks. You should have gotten something else with your limited currency.

Camera angles can lead you to your death and are placed in confusing places and can change several times in a room. At one point I thought I was watching one of Quantum of Solace's action scenes with how confusing and quick the screen cuts were.

Resident Evil 1 Remake is one of my top 5 games. So I'm bummed I didn't like this very much.

Props anyway to the solo dev who clearly had his heart in this.

Played through the game many times on GOG and bought again on Steam to support the dev.
If you REALLY like the original Resident Evils, pre-rendered backgrounds and tank controls included, this game is unmatched (I might be biased since I really didn't like Tormented Souls, but still.)

I will also point out that it's one of the few Re Inspired games that has an actually unique and interesting setting instead of yet another zombie infested manor with an underground laboratory, I wish there was more lore to it but it's still great.

I have no idea what that review which said the combat is hard due to no auto aim is on about, the sword, (which can be bought in the first 10 minutes of gameplay for pennies), is so damn strong it makes Re1's knife only runs look pitiful: it can stunlock almost all enemies in the game, it has so much horizontal range you can spam it even while not facing the enemy, it has a parry which can easily cheese bosses. Seriously, the first boss can be beaten by just standing next to it and spamming the sword without taking any damage, no skill involved.

With that out of the way, the game is absolutely worth the price, can't wait for Alisa The Parting

I wholeheartedly reccomend this game. Not only does the developer deserve a bow for making such a game as an indie, but the actualy game itself is solid.
For those that played the original Resident Evil 1 or those that enjoy the PS1 aesthetic to video games, this is a love letter to that. Elevator Pitch: resident evil 1 meets alice in wonderland.
The game is fun to play, the classic ingredients of item management, exploration, customisation of costumes but it gives its own twist on it, where resi 1 had a knife, here you have a rapier, and instead of zombies it's dolls, clowns, cymbal clashing monkeys and many other wonderful nightmare fuel!
Fixed camera angles are done so well that they enhance the atmosphere of the game, and set up some nice jump scare moments!
The voice acting is campy but it's done on purpose, the music is great and the soundtack overall compliments the atmosphere and setting of the game.
There's multiple endings and the game is overall not long so there's replay value there.
Of all the indie horror games I've played this is among the best, standing toe to toe with titles like Tormented souls and crow country. It's much better than Hollowbody which was another indie horror I recently played.
TL;DR: Like classic resident evil? Get this game!

Great game. Started up the og resident evil while I was playing this and its actually insane just how well they recreated the art style, it really does look and feel like a PS1 title. Loved the early cgi cutscenes. Story doesn't make any ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sense but that's what's good about it.

There's a couple sections towards the end of the game that got kinda frustrating but overall I think people are exaggerating when they say this is too difficult, its pretty average for a survival horror game. Puzzles aren't that bad either, I had to look up a guide a couple times but other than that it gives you enough hints.

Idk man chances are if you found this you're probably already into this genre and u don't need anybody to recommend it to you. If it looks like your sorta thing then I'd get it. Seems like it has a lot of replay value as well. So yea.

The vibe, atmosphere and music of this game are stellar. Resident Evil gameplay is spot on. I found few issues that made this game a bit frustrating at points. For example, almost at the end of the game there is sort of a stealth session but you have no way of knowing where the enemy is in the room because of the camera angle. Another one: the elevator puzzle, there shouldv been a visual clue to solve it. And in the first part of the game the save locations are too far away so if you die you gotta traverse quite lots of rooms to get back there. At the end of the game there's a door that would be a perfect shortcut for the saving room, but it's just blocked, can't open it. One last note: voice acting is, for my taste, quite bad; I recommend disabling the audio in the options' menu.
Apart from these minor issues, totally recommended game!

Ванильно прошёл разок, по классике распишу

Плюсы:
-Классический сурвивал с танковым управлением а-ля старенькие RE1-3. Если любите их, то покупайте и дальше можно не читать.
-Стилизованный графон - кому-то может показаться минусом, но для меня несомненный плюс. Текстурки плывут как на PS1.
-Озвучка. Скорее это про голоса, они приятно всратые, как раньше делали, часто вызывали смех (надеюсь что это было сделано нарочно плохо, что аж хорошо)
-Загадки. Крутые олдскульные загадки, пусть и встречает тебя игра с достаточно пошлой пятнашкой.

Сомнительное:
-Музыка. Прикольные мелодии есть, но местами раздражающие или неподходящие.
-Танковое управление. Вроде можно поменять, я играл на танке, люблю. Кому-то мб не нравится, как и...
-Фиксировання камера. На любителя.
-Боссы. Есть неплохие, есть откровенно странные.
-Последняя треть игры. Игра явно уходит в разнос, тут тебе и стелс, и тир...
-НГ+. Сложно что-то про него сказать, не играл. Оставлю тут. Но з.ы. не люблю гриндить концовки перепрохождениями, а тут они нужны, не посейвскамишь, поэтому альты вероятно надо будет забирать на нг+.
-Сюжет. Ну он тут есть и ладно.

Минусы:
-Преследующий вас бессмертный противник. Его легко абузить перезаходом в комнату. Если вам по какой-то причине лень, то может случайно вас поймать в углу и задушить наглухо. Кстати...
-Мувсет некоторых противников позволяет им пробить вам "комбо", вы банально не успеваете встать и отпрыгнуть.
-Платные сохранения в двух местах на всю игру. Проблема не в платных сохранениях, а в том, что хз когда их прожимать. Учитывая что игра это особняк с головоломками и боссами, к которым ты хз когда выйдешь - сохраняешься вслепую. Пару раз терял достаточно много прогресса, т.к. случайно выходил на босса с полупустыми карманами, а сохранение было вчера.

Итого:
Да огонь, нравятся олдскульные сурвивалы - берём неглядя. Несмотря на шероховатости, очень приятные часы игры за свои деньги.

Después de haber completado el juego una vez primeramente señalaré lo mucho que he disfrutado del juego y las ganas que tenía de probarlo, lo agarré en oferta, valió totalmente la pena, es terrorífico, se siente el peligro en todo momento, cada sonido y la ambientación son excelentes, la banda sonora esta bien, no diré que me encanto pero si que refleja un aura tenebrosa muchas veces, me gusta especialmente un momento en el que la música normal se para cuando te persigue un enemigo que no mencionaré para no entrar en spoilers, pero es jodidamente aterrador y los nervios que se sienten son alucinantes y todo por el buen uso del sonido, hay variedad de armas y de enemigos, los enemigos tienen diseños realmente originales y que pueden causar asco o miedo por igual, mi diseño favorito de enemigo común fue el de las cabezas gigantes en la zona del circo, y fuera de eso, la batalla final se me hizo aterradora y realmente se sintió como el boss final, y sobre los otros bosses realmente no tengo queja, tal vez la dificultad en el tercer boss del jardín fue un poco excesiva pero aún así todos ellos son disfrutables y sin mencionar los diseños que son una locura en los bosses.
Sobre sus 4 finales, realmente debo admitir que me dejaron algo confundido, no quiero mencionar ningún spoiler pero la vdd no tengo mucha queja real.
Ame muchísimo jugar este juego, aunque estuviera en inglés realmente aprecié mucho los detalles y la obvia inspiración en Resident Evil o Alicia, realmente tiene un aura única aunque este basado en otros medios. Es para mi un 9/10 pero realmente dejando de lado lo mucho que amo este tipo de juegos sería un 7/10 porque ciertamente la dificultad y mecánicas a la antigua no serían del agrado de todos, pero eso no quita todos sus demás logros como juego.

Alisa is an amazing retro style game.
I can tell that the Dev's put a lot of effort into this project, and I cannot wait for the second game!

So many Cosmetics, Upgrades and Weapons make this games replayability really enjoyable.

Definitely a game that makes me want to put the time and effort into getting 100% Achievements.

There are some issues, but in my opinion the charm and passion that the Dev's put into the game outweighs the negatives.

That being said: going for the sub 2 hour speed run achievement, and losing an hour of progress because the bosses can stun loop you 3 times on the ground is really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ frustrating.

Also playing the game on modern controls: the camera will switch to a different angle, causing my movement inputs to be swapped, which is annoying.
Especially when there is an enemy right next to you, causing you to get hit.

If you're on the fence about this game, I'd say it should be a no.

There are other games that are trying to emulate this style that do a far better job

A lot of the quirks of the game are in the 90s psx style it's going for, so I'm not going to fault the aesthetic. The tank controls are better, the voice acting fits right in, touching every single wall and object is the vibe, the weird humor, and so forth. It's amazing

But at some point janky aiming isn't quirky, it's bad. Why for the love of god do they make you manually aim at all? Let alone up and down? I don't think there is a game in existence that forces you to do pixel perfect aiming from fixed arbitrary camera angles

They know it's bad too, before you start you're asked if you'd like to start with the "auto-aim" modification. Which is still bad, this game would actually be fine if Alisa tracked enemies like Caroline does in tormented souls. Like I found myself doing the math of whether it's better to go melee and buy health kits

But the short answer is that in 90s style survival horror enemies are supposed to be a puzzle, they have a solution that costs x amount of resources and you get to decide if it's worth those resources.

I think this game actually does a great job at making you ask if it's worth killing an enemy (if ammo costs 3 and the enemy drops 5, it needs to be a clean kill to be worth while). Most enemies are very easy to avoid but very hard to fight, you can be stunlocked with repeated attacks, ganged up on, and some enemies are absolutely unfair. You have to kill some amount of enemies or you will have no money

If I had to describe the combat it's relentless. Enemies do not stop, they do not have weaknesses, they do not have patterns, and the margin for error is very narrow and saves very rare

It is shameful how meny games in my youth I played and quite literally never got past the tutorial.

It was probably about 2, but often I didn't get much further.

The moment I saw the trailer for this I fell in love with its creepy retro aesthetic and I wanted to immerse myself in it. I love how current games are embracing that sometimes we move forward by moving backward (and also forward a lot too).

Maybe this game is just too hard for me. It's a shallow criticism but that's the situation.

After an interactive prologue section, the real game begins and they give you the only worse than no credit: every credit.

The gameplay is so fiddly, which key does what is so counter-intuitive, just firing a pistol feels like landing a plane. They don't give you a gimme section in which you can propaedeutically get used to the feel and ease in while enjoying the atmosphere and design for at least a little bit.

Some build up to the monsters might have been nice too.

I'm disappointed that I won't get to experience what this game had to offer me. If it were a matter of puzzle solving I would totally check a walkthru but it's the situation that I just don't want to persevere thru a deliberately user unfrendly interphase. It's the world the character finds themself in that should be hostile; not our controls.

I wish I had been aware of free demos at the time and tried that out first.

I appreciate that this game is trying to be authentic but we alredy have games of a certain era for that. Couldn't they have learnt a little from them and given us the best of both worlds? Even just a little bit of accessible play before it got hard would have been a big difference. The difference between feeling bad at games (which I am) and what I feel now: ripped off.

This game is full of problems.
We can talk about the possibly various (even though i only got 1 major) bugs, the voice acting (...), the fact that you can easily kill ANYTHING from a staircase (if you know, you know) with ease since the enemies can't climb stairs... But. This game is also full of love. I had fun and i was eager to explore everything i could too see what was next. After all, this is a low budget production, so kudos to the (only 1 i believe) developper.
Honestly, i still wouldn't buy it at full price though - i got it with the winter sale at a fair cost.

Anyone can see Alisa is an homage to old school survival horror games but is there anything truly great under the proverbial rose tinted goggles?
I'd say yes there is, I'm living proof of it. I've never played any of the classics, the only other Resident Evil survival horror style game I played is SIGNALIS (which was also great) and I enjoyed this to the fullest!
The difficulty is a bit on the easier style, both with the puzzle and combat (once you get used to the clunky controls) but I'd say overall the mistery and fun of the adventure more than make up for it.
I'd also consider a plus the short time investment (around 8 hours to complete the game at your leisure, double or triple that for 100% I did 4 replays in Ng+ at the end) a big plus, and more than worth the price, so kudos to the basically one man dev.

Alisa is a throwback to 90's style survival horror and it does it really well. Despite being made mostly by one man, being quite rough around the edges, and looking a bit tacky, it has wound up being one of my favorite games of the year!

The story, theme, and retro style are great. The plot is simple but intreguing enough and adds to the wierd horror doll house setting.
It's nailed the PS1 asthetic, it's graphics sitting somewhere between PS1 and 2.

The enemies designs are varied and interesting, the main character is likable and cute, the levels are also varied and interesting.

Gameplay wise it nails that old RE style, awkward but fun combat, limited loadouts and save spots, with simple puzzles that have you running back and forth through the mansion.

Speaking of puzzles they are some of the bits were the game is "rough around the edges", I required a guide to pass some of them as they were not at all clear. You can also get in a bind with an awkward save, enemies can stun lock you, and I even had to restart when a boss got stuck behind a wall.

The game has plenty of weapons, upgrades, costumes to keep you engaged on top of multiple endings to add replay value. This is my 3rd time completing it (other 2 were on switch) and I enjoyed it each time.

Some other random thoughts, I liked the idea of reanimated doll enemies, all the enemies had cool design and varied animations. The story was kept simple and let the gameplay and lore do the talking.
The core gameplay loop was solid as was the length of the game. I'll keep an eye out for other games Casper Croes creates.

As of writing this review, I have not finished the game, though I do intend to.

To put it briefly, this game has 25 years of history to learn about Resident Evil-like survival horrors, given that it seems heavily inspired by such games. I cannot even force myself to believe that the designer has learned ANY lessons from the wealth of time that this genre of game has enjoyed.

Many fixed camera angles are strewn about at odd places and angles, causing disorientation both inside and outside of combat scenarios.

Most enemies are faster than you, making any combat encounter you engage with cost valuable health. Combat is also required as the currency with which to save and progress with can only reliably gained through enemy drops.

Enemies can and often will stun-lock your character, meaning one mistake or misinput will be the end of you. This issue is made worse with the fact that save locations are sparse and actually choosing to save deprives you of your very limited currency with which you use to buy EVERYTHING you need to progress.

Extremely precious items can go missed because there's no indicator to tell if there's a pickup in the room with you. In other words, no flashing light or gleam to tell you that this part of the incredibly low resolution environment can be interacted with. Your character will also examine something like a cabinet and remark that she could use some of the things there, WITHOUT ACTUALLY TAKING ANYTHING, meaning you have to examine everything TWICE to make sure you are actually looting everything you want to.

Finally, the voice acting is dreadful. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but when you have so many other frustrating issues, this adds no real charm.

I'll say some good things though;

The art style and direction is very distinct with it's clockwork horrors.

The puzzles are challenging in a good way when there isn't a tight time limit.

There were several moments that gave me an 'Oh ♥♥♥♥, I gotta get out of here!' reaction.

Ok, so i finished it in one day, and have some things to share. First of all, this is not a modernization of a classical survival horror format, but a replication of it. Everything bad that prevents you from playing old ps1 horror games nowadays is present here at full scale - bad controls (with lacking or non-existent controller support, use user layouts if game doesnt work out of the box for you), terrible disorienting camera angle changes, boring BACKTRACKING, lacking combat, some boring and streched out puzzle sequences, etc...

Nevertheless the charming parts are also here - music i really loved, it fits this game perfectly, graphics are terrible in a good way, voice acting is just as on point as music is.

There are reasons to play this, but i personally felt frustrated and infuriated with many parts of it (despite it not being hard at all, its actually pretty casual if you buy the saber early on and pick modern controls scheme in options).

For better or for worse this is the most uncompromising attempt of an homage to classic PSX survival horror I have played so far. A lot of other games have nailed the art style, and the exploration. But no other game is willing to give us genuine, honest to goodness, blood-pressure raising, dpad aim. In a game with pre-rendered graphics no less, that good garbo! This game could be right up on a shelf with Dino Crisis and Fear Effect and it wouldn't look a hair out of place.

Enemies are bullet Sponges, Alisa reloads like shes mentally going through a checklist every time, and the monsters will happily stun-lock you to death if you let them. To get through this I had to use tricks so old I forgot I knew them. Like radar aiming, leading monsters into conga lines, or abusing their ai to always put myself just to the side of their attack animation.

It's got multiple endings, an absurd amount of unlockables and after the first few times you can beat the game in like an hour cause your a walking armory and 9/10s, of the games critical path is just pissing you about.

This game ain't for everyone, but if you read everything I just wrote and like me think that was a glowing review with absolutely no negative points then have fun. This is $18 well spent.

Alisa przekonała mnie do siebie fajnym zarysem fabuły i faktem bycia grą survival horror, a la stare Resident'y z charakterystyczną "nieruchomą kamerą" (fixed camera angles) . Mogę z całą pewnością powiedzieć, że sprawdziła się jako survival horror, dodatkowo ma uroczą oprawę graficzną, intrygujący set i character design oraz fajne wdzianka dla naszej bohaterki. Fabuła wydaje się ciekawa, lecz pozostawia sporo pytań, wydaje się trochę "niedopisana". Ponadto gra okazała się dość krótka. Szkoda, bowiem całkiem dobrze się bawiłem (większość z nabitych godzin spędziłem na NG+, zdobywając osiągnięcia). Pociesza mnie że kontynuacja jest w drodze! Mam nadzieję, że niedociągnięcia zostaną dociągnięte a mi będzie dane zrozumieć lepiej świat gry.

Except the fews little bugs I got (ladder in the funhouse and sword fight against Pier), the game is pure GOLD.
If you still like 90' survivor horrors this is for you.

+ High variety of enemies
+ Different endings
+ Optionnal Elise quest
+ Many different weapons
+ Many costumes that have different effects on the character
+ BIG replay value
+ Even though it's one big "mansion", it has different themes
+ The musics
+ Many hidden/secret stuff
+ Unscripted stalker enemy that appears randomly

- The files can't be accessed through the inventory
- Can't access to the previous endings unless you make a new savefile

ストアで気になって買って、マップとアイテムの位置覚えて３周目までクリアしました。
初代バ●オハザードのガチファンならお勧めはできますが
『それ以外で試しにプレイすると難易度高くて痛い目に合う』かもしれないよっ
て感じですねこれは。
何故かというと、操作には慣れが必要(キャラ移動がラジコン操作＋カメラ視点が固定)
なのと敵との距離感がすごくつかみづらい！
おまけに雑魚敵とボスのＨＰが高めなので処理が大変！
あっ！でも攻撃や動きがワンパターンなのが救いだ
謎解きと探索に集中できないことが割といやだーーーーー！(≧◇≦)ギョ
って人にはまずお勧めできない

後半の武器のリロードスピードが物凄く遅く遅くてイライラが半端なかった

このゲームは雰囲気がとても好きだからさ(*´Д｀)
不気味な洋館を謎解きと部屋の探索やポールが面白かったです。
あとエンディ…おっと、これ以上は自分で確かめてみてくれ！
世界観が独特だったり、主人公のコスチュームで能力が変わるところも面白カタ(*´Д｀)

ホラー要素はあそんなにありません、ミステリー系です。
ただアイテムの組み合わせ要素はなく、キーアイテムを見つて使うだけです、
キーアイテムをどこで使ったらいいか分からないところも多かった。
館をウロウロしていたプレイ時間の方が圧倒的に多い
戦闘については
敵に射撃して→距離を取ってリロードする→射撃してまた逃げるの繰り返しになります。
ただ近接攻撃の軍刀が抜群に強いので、こいつでチクチク側面攻撃がお勧めです。
主人公の武器や回復アイテムがそんなに強くないです、

良かった点
・BGMがホラー雰囲気があっていい
・ヨーロッパの古い洋館
・セーフルームにいるポール
・近接と射撃武器とステータス強化の洋服などがある
・エンディングが分岐している
・ストーリがシンプルで分かりやすくていい
・不気味な人形
・懐かしいCGのグラフィック
・鍵の種類が多すぎ問題
・２周目以降のやりこみ要素が結構ある(隠し衣装や別えんでぃんぐ)
・軍刀がガチで強すぎる

悪かった点
・主人公のリロードスピードが遅い(黒服装備で15％早くなってようやく普通)
・セーブ枠１つしか使えない為セーブ保険が出来ないので、アイテムや通貨の無駄遣いが出来ない
・敵によって殴りハメしてくる奴がいるのでイライラする
・射撃武器より近接武器の方が使い勝手がいい
・キーアテイムをどこで使ったらいいかわからない
・マップの自分の現在地が分かりづらい

色々書きましたが、それなりに楽しめた
たまにはクラッシックスタイルのホラゲもいいよね！
そんな人にはお勧めですかね？ただし海外仕様なので少し難易度高め
続編も出るらしい？ちょっと楽しみ(≧▽≦)ｂ

Updating review now that I've finished Alisa:

This is easily one of my favourite horror games in a long time, probably ever. Congrats devs, y'all managed to give me an affinity for creepy whirring dolls because of this game lol. Alisa is plain fun and candy for a survival horror freak like myself. I constantly found myself smiling ear to ear in the midst of gameplay! Due to either a fun and quirky puzzle with a hilariously fitting answer for the time period this game goes for, the incredible satisfaction of learning the combat well enough to start confidently taking melee fights with enemies, or even just the perfect voice acting that is BEYOND charming.

This game also managed to actually GET me with a scare. For the first time in what feels like a very long time! A horror game spooked the ♥♥♥♥ out of me! No spoilers for it, but you absolute FCKERS hahaha. That was clever!! Alisa's story is perfectly fitted into the framework of this medium length lil game. It's easy to follow without feeling like it was made for your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ friend that never learned how to spell. It's got genuinely good mystery, fascinating lore, and even satisfying unsolved questions that leave you wondering long after the credits!

And the music, WOW. Crisp and beautiful. As someone that grew up on the PS1, it manages to be so creative with the palette of the time; yet also feel like it's something I absolutely could have heard growing up. And often times, the game legitimately feels like it accomplishes its goal of fitting the PS1 era! Often while playing I'd ponder: "God this feels like some fkn unreleased game by Capcom in the late 90s that some Youtuber would uncover and show off." And that's IMPRESSIVE. But back to the music, it's a mirror of the story, but with even more whimsy. Legitimately hooky, it manages to unease, soothe, and lull you into a trance all at the same time. The way the composer spread her wings on this is phenomenal. I really hope she gets more opportunities to paint w her music, I positively love it! Already planning on buying this game's soundtrack, and I'm rarely the type to do so.

If all this doesn't say it clearly enough: I REALLY loved Alisa. I plan to 100% it, which is also not something I do for just any game. I could also very much see myself getting into speedrunning it...it's just a total comfort game for me at this point. It's whacky as all get out, it's zany, clever, fun, and never loses its spirit. It's the calcified and preserved spirit of what made gaming so great in the 90s, on display for us all to be able to graciously play.

I seriously, cannot fkn wait for The Parting. I NEED more!!!

Эталонный survival horror с бережно перенесенной атмосферой игр на PS 1, в отличии от других игр, которые пытаются "косить" под старину. Геймплей классический для данного жанра, декорации и атмосфера прекрасны. Чтобы полностью понять сюжет, надо внимательно изучать особняк и близлежащие локации. Напрямую вам никто ничего не расскажет, все будет казаться шизофреническим бредом.
Есть отсылки на старших товарищей, которые в свое время любили сэндвичи.
Единственный минус, который подметил – стелс. Ну он тут лишний. И ладно бы это была опциональная механика, но в одном моменте она становится обязательной. И в этом моменте моя срака сгорела основательно.

que jogo MARAVILHOSO, o puro suco do survivor horror classico, pega as mecanicas dos melhores jogos da epoca do ps1 e as utiliza da melhora maneira possivel, o jogo é curto mas com muito fator replay, uma historia interessante e que deixa um gostinho de quero mais, em uma primeira rodada, tem a duração perfeita, zerei em cerca de 6 horas e em jogadas subsequentes o tempo baixou e muito, o layout da mansão é tão caracteristico (mas com ressalvas) que me vi usando pouquissimas vezes o mapa, todas as areas tem inimigos variados e com designs bem feitos, os cenarios pre renderizados são maravilhosos e até mesmo a atuação de voz tem aquele gostinho corny do primeiro resident evil.

Só senti falta de mais interconectividade de um dos mapas, durante o jogo me vi passando pelo exato mesmo corredor 3 vezes já que era a única entrada para uma área, isso que em uma das vezes eu tive que fazer esse exato caminho logo após de ter o feito pela primeira vez, foi triste nao ter alternativas diferentes. em outro lugar o jogo provoca ter um atalho que. em momento algum se abre. só pra voce obrigatoriamente ter que refazer um looongo caminho de sobe e desce deixando a exploração meio maçante para uma reta final.

Outro ponto que, talvez seja a intenção do dev para as armas brancas serem viaveis é que a IA dos inimigos nao tem a parte do I. Todos os inimigos mal demonstram perigo, principalmente com o parry da espada, eles param na sua frente, pensam por muito mais tempo do que deviam e leeeeeeeeentamente fazem seu ataque, deixando uma brecha enorme pra dar um parry ou dar a volta ao redor do inimigo, é muito mais facil usar a espada dando parry nos ataque do que gastar munição com os inimigos. Pouquissimos foram os inimigos que são realmente agressivos que me mataram ou deram um dano consideravel.

Resumo da Opera: Um jogo extremamente divertido, com puzzles que fizeram me sentir um simio (isso é bom ok? gosto de me sentir burro fazendo puzzle). Um elenco de personagens, inimigos e chefes muito bom, principalmente o mercador do jogo (FIRAPOWAAAAAAA) que é extremamente carismatico, uma direção de arte extraordinaria e uma historia super interessante que me fez correr atrás de documentos e pesquisar sobre a lore, as ressalvas, por mais que eu as tenha descrito em detalhes, são tão minusculas em comparação com o tanto que me diverti com esse jogo que nao sinto nem resquicio de amargo na boca. Com toda certeza vale a pena dar uma chance, JOGUE ALISA IMEDIATAMENTE

To call this game a MASTERPIECE would be an understatement! If you're a fan of the original RE style survival horror games from the 90's - this one hits the spot! I'm 9 hours in (lots of re-tries and exploration) and don't want it to end! Looking forward to more games from Casper!

Empezaremos con el vinagrismo, los cambios de camara en algunas habitaciones son demasiados y el control del propio juego se marea incluso.

Ahora, es un buen juego? si, pero no están serio como el RESI 1 o Silent Hill de los que toma inspiración, pero sus partes de survival horror están bien no son nada nuevo pero bien, la historia es algo rara incluso para un juego de este tipo así que no lo penseis demasiado, tiene personajes graciosos y por ultimo si tienes curiosidad hay una demo.

-The short version.

I really wanted to like this, I think there's definitely some charm to the game, but it is clouded by some not good design decisions on an attempt to be too true to the classics with little modernization or consideration for its own self-imposed limitations, contrary to the PS1 games that inspired it, which had forced limitations and yet had careful considerations around it, making them still enjoyable today.

-The could be longer but I ain't gonna bother version.

It is hard to recommend this one. The heart is in the right place but the execution ain't it. It brings all the classic features of the PS1 era of Survivor Horror, including the bad ones, and somehow makes it worse.

Massive open rooms with multiple different camera angles, stairs locked animation (with a stalker type enemy just waiting for you at the bottom), very annoying controls and aiming, including the fact that to get the controller working you need a keyboard to select it, so no auto detect here. The game is made in Unity, I'm sure that adding auto controller detection should be a simple task. But alas

Main character's voice acting is terrible, some other characters have more interesting voice work that fits with the cheese, but the main character is just very boring and monotone.
Puzzles aren't difficult, but the general progression is anything but intuitive, and the inclusion of currency is interesting but also removes part of exploring and scouring out for ammo. You can find some around, but your main source for ammo and healing is from the shop, which is limited, with reestock happening at key points as you progress. If you run out of ammo or currency then you can get yourself softlocked, unless... you buy the melee weapon, which is a clear patchwork solution to that so you don't get stuck without means of killing bosses, and it is surprisingly better than many of the guns in the game.

It is a rough one, even when trying to give it some credit for being a solo dev game it is hard to ignore its issues. I am no stranger to difficulty and survivor horror games, in fact I love it, but I have a hard time enjoying Alisa for more than 1 hour session at a time, it just doesn't flow.

Una entrega discreta. Agarra las ideas de los clásicos como Resident Evil o Alone in the Dark, con controles tipo tanque (también se pueden adaptar a controles actuales). Pero si quieres la sensación de jugar como cuando tenías un PSX en las manos y ver a tu personaje sufrir por moverse, esta es la opción ideal.

El sistema de puzzles no te va a exprimir el cerebro, pero es aceptable. El enemigo más fuerte de este juego es la cámara: morirás mucho por ella.

Alisa is an interesting and fun survival horror game. The first one I played and, since 10 mins ago, 100%-ed. It has very quickly become one of my favorite games and even a special interest <3

The atmosphere and overall vibe of the game is very intriguing. A mixture of horror and goofiness that blends together really well and to top it off; a fitting and great soundtrack made by ARISA.

The voice-acting is really charming and fun, albeit not "the best" when compared to professional voice-acting. Some translations are very literal but to me that just adds to the charm and feel of the game. The accents of the characters are fitting and make the world feel diverse which is a plus to me. <3

The puzzles are not too difficult but still enjoyable and on your first go even slightly challenging. But nothing you would need a guide for per se, if you don't mind being a bit patient with yourself.

As for the combat, it took some getting used too but it is a lot of fun to master.
You can select auto-aim and adjust the controls to a more modern setting if you don't like the feel of tank controls and manual aiming.
There is a certain element of skill-expression you can develop regarding the melee combat that is, in my opinion, very satisfying and doesn't get old quickly.

Boss battles are well done, no two bosses feel the same! Everyone of them has a certain style and will require you to approach them differently from one another.

There are many collectibles to gather over several playthroughs such as weapons and dresses which makes the NG+ interesting and worth doing. With multiple endings and many secrets/lore to find you will not get bored of the game soon.

To summarize, this game is replayable, great art direction, a charming soundtrack and cast, combat/bosses that feel rewarding, puzzles that satisfy, accessibility and overall a nice game that will leave you wanting to play more! <3

Loved every minute of this game. It's got a learning curve, but if you've played any classic survival horror games previously you'll get it down in no time.
The voice acting is charming, and while the controls can be tough at times the enemies are clearly designed with them in mind. It was very clear that time was taken when creating it to ensure that nothing was super out of left field.

If you have NO experience with other survival horror games, you might struggle a lot with Alisa. The tank controls on keyboard and mouse take a bit of getting used to, but quickly felt satisfying. (And despite what I previously thought, there IS controller support & non-tank control settings! I would recommend the tank controls nonetheless, as they feel great to use here.)

I won't get into story specifics, but I will say that I really liked it!

The outfit and weapon swapping felt good, and I especially love that every outfit had its purpose (and were cute!)

Edit: As of writing, I finally 100%'d the game! I found the story to be interesting, and am excited for Alisa: The Parting. I didn't run into as many glitches as others, however on occasion the game would temporarily freeze when selecting an item (only saw this with the keys - i think it got stuck playing the animation but not yet letting the player move/select which key), and an odd glitch that caused Alisa to get stuck. Typically happens after a knockback hit, but I've had it occur at random occasions as well. Sometimes getting hit again fixes it, other times you're screwed and have to reload.

Edit 2: Did an additional playthrough on the steamdeck! It launches in widescreen at first, but is corrected if you de-select FULLSCREEN mode. Game works fine, aside from a few odd UI glitches at the shop, modification, and closet menus. I didn't experience any crashes or absurd behavior when playing.

(If you're wondering how to get the controller layout working: Menu -> button config -> XBOX layout -> hit ENTER and then your controller should be recognized. For steamdeck, I'd recommend just using a custom community layout, as trying to get it to work via the button config menu doesn't always work.)

En *Alisa* todo parece dulce hasta que no lo es: una casa llena de autómatas asesinos, música que te eriza la piel y una protagonista que no sabe si escapar o pedir un té con masitas antes de morir.
Tiene ese encanto raro de los juegos hechos con amor al terror viejo, con diseños que mezclan lo adorable con lo perturbador. Los combates son toscos, sí, pero ahí está la magia: cada bala cuenta, cada puerta es un misterio, y cada habitación te puede arruinar el día o darte una sonrisa macabra.
Lo jugué con la sensación de estar abriendo un cofre del pasado, con una capa de locura moderna encima.
